Kash Patel: Trump Had Offered National Guard to Pelosi Before Jan. 6

"Did or did not President Trump and or his administration Or for national guardsmen To Nancy Pelosi and her people before January 6th Unequivocally yes January 4th in the Oval Office I was there with the commander in chief the Secretary of Defense the chairman of joint chiefs of staff and the chief of staff for the president of the United States where the president unequivocally authorized up to 20,000 national guardsmen and women on January 4th immediately thereafter as chief of staff for the Department of Defense We executed that authorization and went to Nancy Pelosi and the capitol police and mayor Bowser and they all said no and mayor Bowser put it in writing in the United States Capitol police timeline that was just released shows that they declined and put it in writing Do we know why The Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi declined the president's offer For national guardsmen and how many did he offer The president offered up to 20,000 in the law works as you know mark is the president can authorize the National Guard or the second component of the laws there must be a request by a federal agency or a governor in this case mayor of D.C. And Nancy Pelosi controls the federal capital police and therefore they report it to her and why they did not want it I would leave it to the political experts I'm a national security guide but they seem to be worried about the optics just like they were worried about the optics of Lafayette square though there was the hypocrisy of their way And they also could have put up a no crime fence around the capitol They failed to do that And they failed that federal law enforcement there surrounding the capital such as the FBI and DHS They failed to do a great many things that would have been very simple to do

The Federalist: Pelosi Responsible for Jan. 6 Security Breakdown

"Here we have a piece at the federalist By Jordan Boyd investigators Pelosi responsible for the January 6th security breakdown at U.S. capitol Isn't this what this committee is supposed to be looking into Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi shoulders much of the blame for the security breakdown at the U.S. capitol on January 6th 2021 And today they're smearing the hell out of Trump and not once Did a member say but you know he did offer us the National Guard Because there's nobody there to speak up Nobody There's nobody there to say anything Nobody I mean I had questions for all these Justice Department guys All right questions for Bill Barr What took you so long to resign Why didn't you resign earlier But you know the capital police were half staffed on January 6th Pelosi's house sergeant at arms denied multiple requests for National Guard assistance from The Pentagon The United States Capitol police chief of the days leading up the January 6th officers were poorly equipped had insufficient ride shields and helmets They were never trained to handle a ride even after the riots of 2020 And on and

"The entire nature of this committee. His repulsive, it's unconscionable. The complete lack of truth and justice pursuing processes is appalling. So the sit here like a phony journalist and gobble it all up and then regurgitate it. And then say how brilliant and all the rest of this. Now he looks like a damn fool today as he has so often and he's not the only one. And he's not the only one. This is the Russia collusion crowd. This is the dossier crowd. This is the Trump is going to be indicted by Mueller crowd. And go down the long, long, long list of allegations from the past and how credible the people were who made the oh my God, they're so credible. I mean, they're under oath, they wouldn't lie, would they? They have no axe to grind, do they? And they do that with the books too. And of course, then they bring out sakhalin van setti, AKA Woodward and Bernstein. Always there. And then they brought out even John dean. John dean now is credibility. I believe they were on the constipated news network. There they were all three. The three Stooges. To tell us this is worse than Watergate for the 4000th. This is worse than Watergate. And she was unbelievable. She is unbelievable. Yes, fantastic. When is he going to be indicted? Mister former federal prosecutor, when is he going to be indicted? Well, they have enough evidence now to go forward I would contend and this is really unbelievable. There's changes and everything. And I'll never be the same. And again, you know, and I understand there's not another side, but don't worry about it. This information, why would she, why would she be wrong? Why would her testimony be false? I mean, after all, I mean, and we've never had such a brilliant witness in the history of witnesses. We've never seen anything like this before. I was on Hannity last night, I hope some of you were able to watch. And I had had about enough of this. It went something like this. Cut one go. This committee is filled with these bastards on this committee and these phony former federal prosecutors behind the scenes. You know why this woman testified today the way she testified today in my opinion. This was her 5th interview. They had her behind the scenes for four interviews. They wore her down in my view. She changed lawyers. They said she had a testified today because of death threats. She watched. She couldn't testify last week or the week after that. This committee is a farce. It is a stalinist committee. I want to tell Kevin McCarthy and the Republican leadership. You need to put out the equivalent of a protective order right now and let Nancy Pelosi know in this Benny Hill Thompson who runs the committee and dizzy Lizzy and you need to tell them right now they are to preserve all the records that this committee and the staff is pulled together. Whether it's text emails, documents, phone records. And while we're at it, they need to preserve their own texts, emails, documents, and phone records. And they need to tell Nancy Pelosi to preserve hers and steny Hoyer two and their staffs. Because this is the greatest, well, Russia collusion was the greatest. This is the second biggest farce against the American people. They bring this woman up the testify. She's about 25 years old. Among other things, what does she say? That the president knew that they were going to be threats. The president knew that people might be armed. The president knew there might be violence. Yeah, which is exactly why the president offered the National Guard on January 4th according to 5 eyewitnesses of which he was in one. And it was turned down by Nancy Pelosi. It was turned down by Chuck Schumer. We have a thousand witnesses. How about a 1001? Nancy Pelosi, but no. This committee's filled with Stooges for Nancy Pelosi. No questions for her. If they knew there might be violence, she knew. So why did she do I what she did what she did? Because she called them stormtroopers a month before or two months before. Here's another piece of information that this committee has that they haven't reported. How do I know? Because of cash, cattell. Your same guest. He said in November, right after the election, Donald Trump authorized the transition to the Biden administration from the Trump administration and the Department of Justice. Department of Defense. Scores and scores of Biden people. Who they assume would come in. Now, if you're plotting an insurrection with the Proud Boys and the oath keepers, you not only do not offer 20,000 armed military to protect the capitol, you also do not participate in a transition period and order the Department of Defense to work with the Biden people. They have no evidence for any of this committees come up with nothing. Despite the fact it's all one way. And I want to encourage networks all over the country who I'm sure will listen to me, fire your legal analyst, fire them. There's two damn many former federal prosecutors. This isn't about a federal prosecution. These legal guys, they keep coming on. They know nothing about the constitution. A president, a candidate, has the right to lobby. And lobby, the state legislature, if he or she believes that the elector should be for them, it's a political process, protected by the constitution. They have a right to litigate. They have a right ask Al Gore. They were Mike to make allegations. They haven't called a single Democrat official before this committee who violated article two of the federal constitution and changed the election laws because of hundreds of lawsuits

Catastrophic Security Failure: Joe DiGenova on the Events of January 6

"Brad raffensperger many others appear in front of the January 6th. I'm going to use a phrase one of my code is used inquisition. It's either a star trader or an inquisition. Give us your take to date in the last few weeks, judge Jennifer in terms of your experience working as U.S. attorney for the district, working as a special counsel for the DoJ as a lawyer to date. Your description of this event. On January 6th, we were in your studio. Yes. When this happened and my immediate response after watching it was this was a catastrophic security failure. And everything to date that has come out of these hearings has confirmed that. It shows that they purposely did not want to be prepared. They had insecure fencing. They had insufficient number of police officers, no National Guard, no U.S. troops, the fencing that exists at the Supreme Court in anticipation of the road case, the Dobbs case is the kind of fencing that should have been up. It wasn't. What they had upward bicycle racks and all sorts of things. They had their civil disturbance, 50% of them were on leave that day.

"Threat of an assassination attempt against Kavanaugh. That means of the 9 members of the committee, all 9 did not post a statement condemning the threat. The threat, the real threat from this would be assassin, who literally carried many weapons. It is a little bag of goodies. And their leader, Nancy Pelosi, hasn't either. But they're very worried, you see. About Donald Trump, apparently there was a secret signal. Maybe a hand signal. To encourage people to violently enter the capitol building and to kill people. Especially the vice president. Right? And so mister Raskin, who wants Donald Trump in prison? Because he and his father both commies. You spend on the impeachment committees, is a radical kook, but he's not alone. Look at the whole lineup on this committee. Demolished any pretense that the savage mob violence that came out of that crowd and that eventuated in the storming of the capitol somehow took Donald Trump by surprise. So we have a witness. It was destroyed her credibility. On basic information, which she provides an enormous, exquisite detail just happens to be false. Says Donald Trump knew those people in the crowd were armed and he wanted to go anyway. And from that mister Raskin in the other rabble the other comrades take from that that Donald Trump knew they were armed and that's why he wanted them to go to the capitol building. Now there's a couple problems with this ladies and gentlemen. The timing is one. I thought, mister producer. But he wanted all the people to come into the protest. That according to her testimony, he said, let them all in. And that he was told that some are armed. And he said, let them in any way. Some are armed but let them in any way. This is January 6th. That the president knew advance that there were threats of violence was her testimony. He knew in advance. How do you answer that ladies and gentlemen? That testimony doesn't condemn Donald Trump. First of all. The person whose responsible for securing the capitol building isn't Donald Trump. Now, Donald Trump obviously knew there was a threat potentially to the security of the building. He didn't know from whom or from where because it was Donald Trump two days before who on his own in front of 5 firsthand witnesses offered the National Guard to the mayor of Washington to the Speaker of the House and to the majority leader of the Senate. They didn't bring it up to him. He brought it up to them. 20,000 armed military personnel. He offered it to them. They didn't take it. Why did Nancy Pelosi who had to know that there was a threat to the capitol building? The FBI knew the Secret Service knew. Who else knew the capitol police knew. Because they turned down the offer of the national government. They report to Pelosi, why did she turn down the National Guard? We don't know. Nobody's Esther. Not a reporter. Not a janitor, not an intern. None of the 11 federal prosecutors on the January 6th committee, they're not even curious. Not dizzy Lizzy or head case king singer. Not the 7 radical kooks, the Democrats. Now one of Nancy Pelosi Stooges on that committee. Wants to know, which is why they're on that committee. Isn't it the 64 $1000 or in this case $64 million question?

So can somebody explain to me how to, I had an argument with a guy about this and I said, who made the people in January 6th leave? Was it the National Guard? No, it wasn't. Was it the capitol police know they were, they got overrun. The people left. That is the weakest insurrection I've ever heard in my life. They left. Nobody wants to hear them continue this conversation about this. Is anybody going to go to jail over it that haven't already been put in jail in all released? No. Is Donald Trump going to be here responsible impossible?

Why Did Nancy Pelosi Reject National Guard Support Before Riots?

"Support? Did you know that Donald Trump offered National Guard to the capitol four days before the January 6th, right? Yet Nancy Pelosi wanted nothing to do with it. Why is that? Why did Nancy Pelosi reject help? Official capital police timeline validates Trump administration's accounts show Democrats fateful rejection of the offers. And the media is in full propaganda mode, trending on Twitter today, just as a way to try to run interference for the regime, they say fact checking the allegation that Nancy Pelosi pushed back against support. Former capitol police chief Steve stunned as a tested that before the January 6th, he approached house sergeant at arms, Paul Irving, about obtaining the assistance of National Guard troops on the day the electoral votes were counted, but mister Irving said he was concerned about optics. Rodney Davis from Illinois reports that the house sergeant at arms and chief administration officer, both of whom report to Pelosi have steadfastly refused to produce anything to him. Why didn't Pelosi secure the capital? Why did she leave it vulnerable? Why did Pelosi leave it wide open and reject troops? Are we going to get an answer to that question? Of course not. When Will Americans Realize the Government Isn't Working for Them?

"Going to realize that the government is not working for them. So at the border, what should we as citizens do when the federal government is feeling the system, Carol? Well, I've called for quite some time that the states need to organize a citizen force and to use police officers, use National Guard, use Texas Rangers or Arizona, rangers, and start their own border patrol. We could do this if we wanted to. We can police borders with police borders all the time. We've made a decision that our border is not worthy of policing. We made a decision that the potential benefits from open borders is better than the negatives that benefits, I guess are cheap labor, which is insane. I don't think there's any benefits. Let me be perfectly honest with unlimited legal and illegal immigration. But that's basically the consensus of the kind of cartel ruling class. And so we could do it. It's just a matter of the will. Who Is Rep. Michael Waltz, the First Green Beret in Congress?

"Things first, for those who aren't familiar with your story, still got a shock to me when I say this, the first green beret in Congress. How did that happen? Well, because they're different from seals. I didn't say that. Did I say that? Well, you know, there's no ego with Bragg. There's been 5 seals. I'm the first green beret. I just tell them it takes 5 of them to equal one of us. Nice. Talk to those millions of listeners across the country. Talk about your bona fides. What you did with the brotherhood talk a little bit about your military career. Well, I've served for 25 years. I'm actually still going in the National Guard as a colonel, but my career has been as a special operator served across Africa, multiple tours in Afghanistan. But importantly, a lot of folks don't realize both the seals and green berets have reserve units. So my day job, my civilian job was actually in The Pentagon under rumsfeld and Gates and then eventually in the Bush White House as a counter terrorism adviser to the vice president and so I had this fascinating Seb which you can appreciate having to be one of the only idiots in Washington that had to go actually do the strategy that I had written. Literally my first book warrior diplomat was there I was in The White House situation room, mister president. This is what we need to do to win the war on terror. Then I would get mobilized. There's a green beret and actually I have to go do it. Implement the thing that you recommend the amazing thing would be coming back from those tours going back into a coat and tie and into The White House and saying, hey boss, respectfully, The Pentagon's full of it. It's not going as well as you're being briefed. "The National Guard is America's part time fighting force. Davis winkey reports on the National Guard for the army times. Where an independent news organization that covers the U.S. Military. And just to get it out of the way he's also in the National Guard so he can identify with what's happening to the Texas National Guard at the border. We asked him to help us understand how members of this division of our military reached their breaking point and decided to try and unionize, which is an unprecedented move for the guard, by the way. Over the past few years, America has been increasingly relying on the National Guard, a force of part time soldiers in order to solve just basic societal needs. But in Texas, what we've seen is governor Greg Abbott has deployed 10,000 of them to tackle what he calls a failure of the Biden administration's immigration policy at the border. Because the federal government is failing to respond to these dangers. Texas is stepping up to secure the border and to keep our communities safe. As a result, those troops are sitting at the Texas Mexico border right now trying to observe and report and stem migration. For people who aren't aware, what's the National Guard supposed to do? The guard is available to deploy overseas and fight the nation's wars, and they've done so at a huge rate over the past 20 years. They're also at the same time on call for missions under the direction of their respective governors. Each governor has the authority to activate and use their National Guard for virtually whatever purpose they see fit. So things like responding to hurricanes, crowd control with riots, providing proactive security for key events. But operation loans are upends that balance by taking this state mission concept and making it long term. An effort to keep enough personnel patrolling the river and across the valley the Texas National Guard will be sending more soldiers to the southwest border to help with operation lone star. Operation lone star story begins in March 2021. Greg Abbott decided to deploy a few hundred National Guard volunteers to assist with the Texas Department of Public Safety and to set up extra observation posts to help spot migrants along the border. But it was in the fall of that year that Abbott really decided to massively increase the National Guard presence at the border. Activating thousands more troops and voluntarily and many cases and sometimes with as little as 72 hours notice that these part time soldiers.

Things Not Going as Planned for Russia

"A Russian National Guard chief, once in charge of Putin's personal security, admitted that quote, not everything is going as fast as we would like. The first real admission by anybody in authority or formally an authority, but he still says that Russia will achieve a victory quote step by step. They Kremlin, by the way, said they may opt to take control of large cities, despite the false claims that its purpose is to liberate the country. One Kremlin spokesperson said, and I'm quoting, the Ministry of Defense, while ensuring maximum safety of the peaceful population does not rule out the possibility of placing under its full control, major population centers, inevitably, this could lead to a large number of casualties among civilians, U.S. and European officials are pushing Russia towards storming major cities with a view to place responsibility for civilian deaths on our country, said the Kremlin spokesperson.

Troy Nehls: Nancy Pelosi 'Weaponizing' Capitol Police to Silence Me

"Were the offices in your offices on Thanksgiving, photographing your materials. Were they in uniform or were they undercover in plain clothes? While the one officer that was that apparently took the photo, I still can't even get that information from the chief the police and confirm that that it was he. But he said he found my door wide open. He found the door wide open on a Saturday afternoon at three 30. Now, my office, we didn't have anybody there at Saturday afternoon. They were all home. They were all gone, but he was going through to check to make sure that there was no one that shouldn't be there. No one unauthorized should have been in my office. He didn't find anybody there, and he should have left, but he took it upon himself to go start snooping around and start looking at my white board where I keep all my legislative priorities. All my data, what I'm trying to do legislatively here for this next year. And so he looked at that and he said, well, that looks suspicious. Look at that little hand drawn map of the rayburn building. Boom, I'm going to take a picture and have this guy investigated. And that's exactly what they did. And then a few days later, I have these secret squirrels. These deep state on their cover agents knocking on my door, confronting my staffer who just happened to be there. Is it your hypothesis that these people, these officers are acting under the command under the direction of the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi? I believe that Nancy Pelosi now has weaponized the U.S. capitol police. She's weaponized them. She's getting these individuals now. It seems like the capitol police is now her own private law enforcement agency, federal law enforcement agency, getting these individuals to spy on members of Congress, gather intelligence, do background checks, and Nancy Pelosi obviously does it like me too much, mister gork, obviously. I told you, I'm a very vocal critic of what it took place on January 6th. The National Guard should have been in our nation's capital January 4th and Nancy Pelosi, my humble opinion delayed the response to the National Guard and we need to get to the bottom of

Rep. Mike Waltz Shares His Concerns Over Ukraine and Biden

"What concerns you right now with what you're getting and what you're seeing out of the Biden? Yeah, so I just went out to Ukraine about a month ago and bipartisan congressional delegation and the frustration amongst the Ukrainians amongst our trainers. We actually have Florida National Guard and some special operations forces there doing some training, small numbers. And in the embassy itself, the frustration with a Biden administration, the indecision, the inaction, how slowly they were moving with the Ukrainians requests. And the whole tone and tenor coming from The White House was, we don't want to do anything to provoke Putin. We don't want to we want to instigate that Ukrainians were asking for stingers for surface air missiles for anti ship missiles. And I want to be clear to everybody listening, the Ukrainians are ready to do the fighting. Nobody's advocating for divisions of U.S. boots on the ground. The Ukrainians are ready to do the fighting, but they're asking for help against this monster Russian army coming over the horizon atom. And once again, you've got a concessions first, you know, America last kind of policy coming from, you know, don't shake the boat and if we're just nice enough to our adversaries, they'll be nice back. Well, you and I know that's exactly what provokes dictators. And when they smell that weakness, they smell opportunity. So it's no surprise that Putin is doing this now. He got away with it under the Obama administration. He thinks he can get away with it again. And why should Americans care? Well, Putin is marching towards recreating and reimagining the old Soviet Union to challenge the United States on the global stage side by side with China

And <Speech_Female> state employment protections <Speech_Female> mean <Speech_Female> that after their deployments, <Speech_Female> they should be <Speech_Male> able to go <SpeakerChange> back to <Speech_Male> their civilian jobs. <Speech_Male> But <Speech_Male> say you have <Speech_Male> somebody <Speech_Male> who's a <Speech_Male> more <Speech_Male> senior soldier <Speech_Male> and in their <Speech_Male> civilian role, <Silence> they're a <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> white collar <Speech_Male> worker <Speech_Male> or somebody who's <Speech_Male> well compensated. <Speech_Male> You could <Speech_Male> very well lose <Speech_Male> money. <SpeakerChange> When <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> you get called the state <Speech_Male> active duty <Speech_Male> Davis says <Speech_Male> that his take is this. <Speech_Male> Anyone who joins <Speech_Male> the garden now is <Speech_Male> doing so understanding <Speech_Male> that the possibility <Speech_Male> of all these deployments, <Speech_Male> that's just <Speech_Male> the deal. It's <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> been going on for decades. <Speech_Male> It's <SpeakerChange> not likely <Speech_Female> to change any time soon. <Speech_Female> Yeah, not <Speech_Female> unless your state's <Speech_Female> governor wants to throw out <Speech_Female> millions and <Speech_Male> billions <SpeakerChange> of dollars <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> in federal funding. <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> You know, <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> when <Speech_Male> all of your vehicles <Speech_Male> are <Speech_Male> the property of the U.S. <Speech_Male> government, <Speech_Male> and you tell the U.S. <Speech_Male> government, hey, you can't use my state <Speech_Male> militia anymore. <Speech_Male> U.S. <SpeakerChange> government <Speech_Male> might take its toys <Speech_Female> back. Dan, <Speech_Female> the retired <Speech_Female> guard member in Idaho <Speech_Female> got injured <Speech_Female> when he was in Afghanistan. <Speech_Female> And he <Speech_Female> had to come home. <Speech_Female> He had been a partner <Speech_Female> in a mortgage firm <Speech_Female> and the firm no longer <Speech_Female> existed when he got <Speech_Female> back. There's <Speech_Female> an argument he says <Speech_Female> he's used to hearing <Speech_Female> about the problems <Speech_Female> that he and his friends face <Speech_Female> while doing their jobs, <Speech_Female> as soldiers. <Speech_Female> It seems like the <Speech_Female> critics say in this <Speech_Female> situation, <Speech_Female> this <SpeakerChange> is what people <Speech_Male> like your friend <Speech_Male> signed up for. <Speech_Male> And if you want us <Speech_Male> to go fight in a war, <Speech_Male> we're <Speech_Male> gonna go. <Speech_Male> If it's worth fighting <Speech_Male> for, it's worth <Speech_Male> dying for, <Speech_Male> and we <Speech_Male> truly believe that if <Speech_Male> you want us to fight for this <Speech_Male> country, then do it the right <Speech_Male> way. Give us a proper <Speech_Male> declaration and <Speech_Male> then get out of the way. <Speech_Male> Let us go complete <Speech_Male> the mission and defend <Speech_Male> America and then let <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> us come home. <Speech_Male> He's happy to fight <Speech_Male> for basil, <SpeakerChange> but <Speech_Female> he wants an end <Speech_Female> date. But <Speech_Female> despite the fact that some of the <Speech_Female> guard members are so <Speech_Female> unhappy, the <Speech_Female> National Guard, the <Speech_Female> organization says <Speech_Female> its retention numbers <Speech_Female> are really good. <Speech_Female> They're exceeding <Speech_Female> their goals. <Speech_Female> The guard offers <Speech_Female> these re enlistment <Speech_Female> bonuses and <Speech_Female> over the summer, <Speech_Female> they actually stopped <Speech_Female> offering them for a while <Speech_Female> because retention <Speech_Female> was so <Speech_Female> strong. It's <Speech_Female> just like with any job <Speech_Female> sometimes. <Silence> <Advertisement> Even when folks <Speech_Female> <Advertisement> complain, <Speech_Music_Female> <Advertisement> they just keep on going <Music> <Advertisement> to work. <SpeakerChange> <Music> <Speech_Music_Male> The show is produced by <Speech_Music_Male> Viet lai, who is also <Speech_Music_Male> a senior producer, <Speech_Music_Male> was engineered by Isaac <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> Rodriguez. "I was in the United States Marine Corps, and then I transferred into the United States Army, after September 11th, Dan joined the National Guard in Idaho, his home state. During that time, Dan was sent to Afghanistan. At the time, he says he was excited. Every young soldier wants to do the same thing. We want to do our job. We want to fight to defend America. According to the U.S. Constitution, National Guard troops are not supposed to be deployed overseas unless Congress declares war. But for decades now, that has not been what's happening. And these guard members are being deployed for long stretches. Months over a year, again, and again. And there are other issues too. Dancers when he got to Afghanistan none of the soldiers in the army that he had to work with, even wanted National Guard members like him there. They thought we were part time soldiers. And so we really fell under nobody's chain of command. We were kind of on a limb. The problem, Dan was facing is kind of a workplace problem, but it's a really serious one. He's already working on what you could safely call the longest overtime shift ever, then there are all these coworkers who don't want him there and there's all this confusion about who's in charge. As a result, dance is, he couldn't get a lot of the supplies he needed. The God members he was with were down to threadbare uniforms, holes, mismatched boots, no goggles to protect their eyes. We had all the bullets we needed, all the helicopters and tanks and all the things like that that we needed. But basic human survival equipment was we couldn't get to the normal supply system because we didn't belong to the tenth mountain division and we didn't belong to the 82nd airborne division. We belong to the state of Idaho, but the state of Idaho wasn't at war with in Afghanistan. The problems weren't just about their old uniforms, or the conditions that they were having to face while on deployment. Because they knew that there were also conditions that had to face when they got home. Yeah, there are all these laws in place that are meant to protect service members from losing their jobs, while they're away on these deployments. But there can be other problems. The pay from National Guard varies from state to state and it can be lower than what you earn in your civilian life. So you could end up losing.

"That was the national guard. Also we see them. In the south a lot with natural disasters they help after tornados or flooding or hurricanes. We had a lot of flooding in my city. Bow three years ago and the engineer came out from the national guard in helped build up the river bed so that our town when applied so without them our town would have flooded and we would not look like the town that we have today so we think our national guard for that very much so we can go ahead and break down that misconception as well. The third misconception is that they are weekend warriors so only one week in about and two weeks in the summer now i bet other national guard spouses or national guard members. That are here in. This are probably laughing with that. I know i am. I remember my husband brought me to his recruiter to kind of ease concerns about everything and i remember the recruiter talent us. You know one weekend a month two weeks. In the summer it will be for basic training in your only russo lucky. Maybe one day that will happen. I don't see happening by it. Just not reality between schools training. He's been gone months on end just like everyone else. So we basic training a s. He's about For bullock so he has been there and then if you wanna think about drill where they are gone on a weekend in a month. They still have to travel to their location. Because we don't live on post so most of the different areas that they the units that they go to they may if they're really lucky in they get left out they may live right next to their post and maybe it is only two days. I had a lot of members message me. I had spouses message me. When i was riding my article and i asked them how far away they lived from the units or what was going on in a lot of them. Tell me three to five hours without the range. My husband lives three hours away from his unit. So that means on friday. He cuts his work short. Someone else comes in for him and he goes to his unit and so that he is there for the full day saturday and sunday and then he leaves late late late sunday night and he comes back so that's more than the weekend. When i think of a weekend. I think we're just saturday's easy breezy. A couple of people actually in his unit live in different states so they haven't fully transferred yet to that state's guard or they are in our states guard and are doing something in the other state temporarily so they have to every state or month so now. Let's talk about those two weeks in the summer. That's called annual training and usually that happens out of state so when you think about it once again if they want that two weeks of training they actually have to go out of state most of the time. sometimes they're lucky in. They can do training at their local Bays or post that closes so far my husband's been in a different state. Every time this last time he was in iowa in they drove up there so they took three days to drive in three days back of and fixing different things meeting and going places so it was a lot more than two weeks and then usually a drill is tacked the end or the beginning in so turns into about two and a half to three weeks so i can usually count that june. He's going to be gone or july. Or maybe like a mixture of june july. But we've yet to have that perfect just two weeks in so we can go ahead breakdown that misconception that it's just weekend warriors okay. Number four misconception. Being national guard spouse doesn't impact us as a spouse. Ouch and yes. It does so loving twin this little bit. Being national guard spouse can be lonely at times We do not as we as a national guard. Spouses do not always live near other national guard spouses where we can talk and how support on one another and be there for one another physically. We can find support online or through different organizations. As i said most of us live hours away from our husbands or spouses units. So finding that physical support can be hard at times in some states. Don't have Frg's that are active or noticeable as active duty would be with that said also our friends that have husbands or spouses that are civilians in not in the military. It's hard for them to connect with us. i've noticed that when i was struggling the very as i've been married to my husband for thirteen years the very first time we are away from each other was when he went to basic training and that was a struggle for me because i was used to being with him since high school in talking to him him and all of a sudden he was gone and the next time i saw him was that the basic training. That was during ovid and everything was scary. We didn't know what was going on. I got three phone calls. So i mean it was just a as you military people listening you know how it is and that was just the the taste airy states military life. I had a lot of friends that tried to gather around me. Try to help me out and would say oh. My husband goes on business trips. Or i you know they go away and everything but what was hard to explain. My husband can't call. He can't facetime me. We write letters back and forth but by the time he gets the letter. It's already been two weeks out. So that's old news so it's hard to find that fine line between where we are. It's kinda like living in two different worlds where one foot is in our regular life that we live every day. One is in this weird military world so finding support is absolutely necessary as a national guard. Why and i think that saying that. It does impact us as a spouse is a huge misconception. We need to break that so that we can help our other national guard spouses and encourage them that they are okay in that they have resources there. They just want you to find them or we can show them the resources there okay. The fifth misconception does not actually apply to me. But i did have enough people. Message me that. I wanted to go ahead and add it. And that is that national guard. Service members will not p. c. s. And so it is unlikely that national guard servicemember will pcs. But to say that they all do not. Pcs is not true so we have some national guard service members who may live in a different part of the state in have to move because they are active national guard service members or higher in command or something like that where they have to work on post once they will not live there like for example for us in arkansas. We have camp robinson in. That's like the main hub host for it. We are lucky. We live thirty minutes away from camp robinson so my husband needs something. It's a short drive. But i know friends who actually lived where my husband's unit is now which is three hours away and they had to move to literal surrounding north lonzo. They live about thirty minutes outside so that her husband can drive to work every day because that's where he had to go and so it is something that happens..

"No i get you so you actually in november of eighty four. Eighty four dodge. Well it was. It was a couple of months before i was born. You know today to no. You should definitely shouldn't experienced matters right so so you entered an eighty four start off is off it is how do you say that is. Air force base nebraska. That was my first duty assignment. After i completed my basic military training my texaco. So did you start off your career as active duty. Gotcha so when did you transit transition to their national guard. And why did you decide to leave active duty marine and yeah. That's a long story that i won't go into but after five dates known each other three weeks we got engaged story. Yeah i was thirty four years later. Were still here okay. It should never worked okay. But he had an active duty marine at an active duty airman and never the twain shall meet right so he already ten years in the marine corps. So made sense for me. I did not want to get out. I loved the air force. it was my calling. It was my niche. But i was able palace chase which is a fancy couple words for transfer into the air national guard. I had about a year and a half left on my contract the requirement was you. Give the guard double the time back. Then you had on your activity contracts. So i had to give at least three or commitment to the national guard which i was fine with that. I didn't plan on getting out anyway. So that way. It allowed me to transfer with my husband so my first my family yep so my first national guard state was california and i served three years in california guard and then he got orders to y answer that i picked up to and transferred to the hawaii national guards and twenty years later. That's great no No you defied the statistics as me and my wife did as well. We got married seven or we got engaged seven months after my my deployment. So right there with you into situations. Yeah no it'd be it is it is. We're coming up on thirteen years now. Thirteen fourteen years being together so now definitely it's great didn't know you're married marine. "I'm looking at my minute man right now. That's our symbol of the national guard. Where you know back back. In those days that businessmen women put down their tools of commerce. They picked up their musket to defend the homeland. And we're still doing it today now. The reserves are part of this bureau. Right 'cause is that due to the base differences of the guard being more of the state entities and the reserve as the federal. Got yourself the national bring enquirer sarg arms or sorry about that including we love them all absolutely absolutely interesting. We'll we'll get into a bit but one of the first questions will always ask here on born. The battle is where and when did you know that military service was going to be the next step in your life. I had gone through some changes in my young adult life right at been married divorced and i was working at a bank and i just saw no future outside of my hometown. I felt like. I'm just going to be stuck here. Didn't have a higher level education. Go ahead married divorced before your service. Yes wow which was tough. Tough tough. And as i did and a decision not made lightly at all in being very very strong devout catholic family and thank god. I had this of my family especially my father. Otherwise things can look completely different so yeah i had been married and divorced probably before i went into the airforce about four years already so it was a chance meeting really back in the day. If you remember you probably too young for this but back in the day people actually brought their checks into the bank to deposit them on friday afternoon right after they got off work. Physical hard check and i was you know on the teller line and i had befriended lots of people small town us. Sixty five hundred. I knew everybody that came to that big this soldier from the minnesota army national guard in. She and i will chat every every week when she would come in every week and just chit chat and one day she walked in. She said to me denise. I see so much potential in you than this. Why don't you join the airforce and get out of this town. It was kind of like that. The eight moment right. My dad is a career war veteran he served in the minnesota army national guard for couple of decades. But do you talk to kids about service to our country but what it meant to put on a uniform. It he didn't talk about. You know the benefits education and learning a job skill or any of those types of things so when when my good friend staff sergeant joyce madsen than at the time. She said that she literally drove me to the next time. Too sick day right. She drove me to the neighboring town of the recruiter. Let me say that day. You is on his game. In a good way. Though is either everything hook line and sinker. He talked about serving our country in what that meant about what the uniform stood for but with our fly emmy talked about all that adriatic piece first and then he talked about learning a job skill and education benefits which was really something that.

"I think it's a Roman times, you know, and he gets stabbed. And he's dying and he's got this quirky way. You know it was personality of dynasties, and he's kind of half smiling and he's laying there dying, he's saying If you listen very closely, you can hear the God. The last thing you know, He just doesn't really well, but I don't know who you know what movie Itwas, but somebody listening probably knows what it is, but I remember him playing that part really well, he was a very good actor in all those movies. Sure. But that part really it's stuck in my mind that I remember that when you were talking about it, and then also I want to bring up there. You know, you mentioned the The, uh, your dad in the army. And you know those, uh, my best friend up there, Uh, Close to where I live, right? There was in the Marines and they was in the National Guard. You know, when I was growing up in the sun And those people never never talked about the war. No, they didn't. They did not like doing that, for some reason, And I'm sure I'm sure my dad saw some horrendous things, but he didn't like talking about it. Well, they didn't. You know, I had a lot, of course and and my dad was in the Navy and I never ever brought it up. Anyway, I just said, that's all I got This. Let's throw that in every thanks. Done a lot of us really don't understand how good we have it today, thanks to what they did then during that generation Wayne and Tacoma, Washington. Hello their window. Good evening, George. "And in the coming days that we'll talk about what are the exemptions to the orders what are essential services he also talked about mobilizing the California National Guard instead at least five hundred National Guard troops will be mobilized for humanitarian visions to volunteer because a lot of food banks or people that normally rely or our agencies that normally rely on volunteers are getting those so that the National Guard will go and fill those needs our own Kim McAllister from the KGO news room who I want you to know is working overtime and I appreciated very much four one five eight zero eight zero eight ten your your comments Gail emails hi John I just saw a group of twenty to thirty year olds in San Francisco's hundred point area where I work there were six of them I think they have the wrong message they must think they are immune mainly because at first news started that it doesn't affect them oh my god and also a lot of younger people vaping that could spread the droplets every time they exile a couldn't you raised a concern well I just did it Gail and you're right but some people just don't seem to take it seriously let's go to Jim calling from Kentucky Jim welcome to KGO Hey are you doing I'm a truck driver or delivery driver I am sixty five years old I just put in a sixteen hour day yesterday I put in about twelve hours they've been maxing us out because of the demand and I'm trying to be as vigilant as possible you know about being a and everything but it's really hard to do in the south circumstances they are because they are the people have to deal with the people signing paperwork people you know and just fatigue correct yeah so I'm I'm very worried concerned that a I might be one of them fifty five percent hello and and you know being at my age as it might be pretty serious yup you're right as I have to tell you it is incredibly frustrating being trying to be safe and I have friends who say they're going stir crazy in our homes I actually have a friend whose wife won't kiss him because she says you've been out and about I don't want to be an effective that is a that is a fact and going around in my house too and because of the nature of my wife's business which I won't indulge the house has to be Terrel there because she works from home and that's how she does start anyway yeah so I don't know what the I don't know what to do I know my job is concerned it is essential there's no way I could get myself self quarantine because of the nature of my business so you know I feel that I'm being China thrown into the walls well now you are in the same boat what I do who is viewed as a social service I got a letter here from cumulus media saying it's essential not a lot of my colleagues are broadcasting from home well I live only a few minutes from here I can get my car I can drive into the parking lot I don't have to talk to anybody there's nobody there but me I walked down the hill come in here there are very few people here KGO on frankly I think being here is very important but we all make choices no question so we'll see how it goes Jim I appreciate it and don't get frustrated just keep doing your best thank you all right this comes from Eric who are is a paramedic it is possible it myself another paramedics might be needed with greater roles in the near future could you please do a little research with all the computers and equipment by the way says thank you Kim McAllister and thanks to Karen reed and thanks to one slow yeah we're gonna follow this whole question of the what's going to happen and of course if you're a paramedic you're gonna be busy no question about it Vilma emails no no no Joe was all wrong I would rather be safe than sorry Joe could get coronavirus he could be a carrier thank you all the people he could in fact he could get sick himself with the virus please Joe listen to the experts and you know it's interesting we all of you listen very selfish way I understand that but we can't afford to be selfish Kelly four one five eight zero eight zero eight ten let me go to Nicholas calling from Santa Rosa Nicholas you waited a long time thank you so much he also has a growing very well I yes so you know there's a couple things I want to mention my main point is that I listen to both our president trump yesterday when I listen to Justin Trudeau out man when I heard Justin Trudeau I felt good I felt calm I felt like if I was a Canadian I would have felt somewhat confident and calm and somewhat collected he he graded out where the average Canadian would be sweet receive a check every week for the next fourteen weeks and let me tell you what his wife has the virus and has isolated herself and he has isolated himself as well and under that extra pressure it was especially I I just got to give them kudos whereas with our president I'm a lift driver I don't know when I'll see an income again unfortunately it's not going to wreck me but it's not helping me of course and you know what forget about myself you know but with trump all these people in the in the in the class of a like a gig worker or a substitute teacher they don't even know where they stand at this point he's not making it clearer who's getting what it's all a cluster I will do the work you know mish mosh it's confusing to the average person or even some people somewhere just jaded so I think that's a big problem and and of course you know I spoke to you about a week before the Chinese New Year and I said to land and I mentioned to you you know the exponential nature of this disease this dammit coming out but why don't we call it that and then we mention towards town and I know you kind of friends when I said that there have been a very difficult time there you can almost an hour talk about talked about it in fact because many of the restaurateurs here are friends of mine and that way I think you were only sent out yeah I am and look look what you know but you know the last my last point is you know well first of all want one minor thing the guy in Florida was upsetting because I'm seeing the people on the beaches and it's just you know that's just a vector points like going out to the rest of the Georgia Florida beaches were just fall again so I don't know how they can have that thing this is not a flu no it isn't every disease yeah let me let me be clear I just got an email from a listener who said some of your callers are constantly comparing the spread of covered nineteen to the flu or influenza why did why did why don't they think and realize that a flu vaccine is widely available many people die of the flu due to not getting a flu vaccine or whatever other reason perhaps financial this is not all like the flu in attacks the respiratory system making it difficult to breathe and varying degrees of severity also there is no vaccine for this virus and it kills at a significantly higher rate compared to the flu it is more contagious than the flu this is scary and and melts includes naysayers on helpful people are such a bore and actually dangerous and you know what Mel the reason I want them on the air so we can hear that they are out there all right Nicholas I wanna thank you very much for your call four one five eight zero eight zero eight ten and by the way this so you've all heard the story today what what a tragic story and I want to thank Rick who sent it to me in script form so to speak and that is one family of New Jersey family three members of the extended family have died within days of one another and four others are hospitalized three of them in critical condition and why they had a family reunion I went to sleep having ten aunts and uncles Friday I woke up and found out only have nine just a few minutes ago I found out I only have eight this is a growing crisis and we need to be aware of it and respect with the governor of California said and yes what the president and vice president are telling us and what doctor found she is telling us and what the secretary general United Nations just said to us and with the world organ health organization is saying to us we better wake up and be aware four one five eight zero eight zero eight ten I'm John Rothman with Kim McAllister right here on KGO cagey it's Jamie progressives number one number two employee leave a message at the Hey Jimmy it's me Jamie this is your daily pep talk I know it's been rough going ever since people found out about your archipelagos Matt harmony but you will bounce back I mean you're the guy always helping people find coverage options with the name your price tool it should be you given me the pep talk now get out there hit that high.

"Of the National Guard are doing a deep clean I watch them clean at a community center and the meticulousness was really I. incredible I'm currently going through inform the process of sanitizing the equipment first you have to take a quick minute and put it into a solution of water and bleach I walk into a classroom for children and there are these men and women squeezed in their military gear into teeny tiny plastic seats for toddlers pouring over piles of building blocks and legos and scrubbing each block by hand the National Guard is scrubbing children's toys yeah it was an uncanny site they did this kind of thing throughout the containment zone cleaning synagogues city facilities community centres scrubbing ceilings floors chairs anything that a sick person may have touched you Sir as you're describing this the National Guard is on the ground local officials are still theoretically in charge I like the people who run the city probably even the county so it's a clear to you who is in charge and is this all coordinated in the early moments of new Rochelle coming to terms with this new reality it was a lot of moving pieces it was a city in turmoil with no real leadership structure in place at that moment but I get in my car and I drive down to downtown new Rochelle to the headquarters of Z. Westchester county health department and discover that something had been building here all along Scifeed incident response center in your shower there is a group of about thirty nurses holdings shares getting up three times about the purloined people who are quarantined at home make sure go to the bathroom wash your hands properly before you do anything tight breaks it down with the rush around we wanna make sure that you are taking care of each other and there I come upon a huge bustling incident command center calling out includes three in protective gear swap cats the department of homeland security is there the room is filled with nurses there is an assembly line of test gear and test kits and what's called PPE personal protective equipment that people are filing around the room equipping themselves to get ready to deploy to the houses of sick people to test them for coronavirus at this point in the United States only twenty five thousand people have been tested for corona virus and this command center is to send that number way up so people will call into their doctors tell their symptoms they'll get put on a list and every so often these groups of nurses we're getting an address information they put on head to toe protective gear and head out to sample and test those people and their big signs that say we've got this the signs actually say we've got this hand written signs all over the room and what do you think when you see this I think I've finally found the coordinated response that this situation seems to call for this is a room full of all the layers of government from the state to different agencies to health care workers in their scrubs coordinating to take on this crisis head on and after nearly a week of frightened townspeople and scared.
