"Yeah. I mean i mean compared to women i knew i own normal like all the other guy would go on a double date. Okay okay so the other couples in there is the recovering addict. What's his name. What is his name. And then the blonde wife are their names off the tech somebody. I forgot i used serious. They're so bad. So here's dame's i just is nobody else. They always everybody. That comments tax me isn't there. Jason wallers is that his name. That sounds familiar name. So it's jason wallers related and he was on the show years ago the first season folk ten seconds and then he gets his wife they get married and they have one child. She's pregnant with another. He's a year sober. And what i watching right now is you. Guys are in lake tahoe and they. She's very upset because she hears that. You don't believe he's really sober. Okay rewind so last time we filled in this last season. We did this. It's exactly how everything's happening. Yeah and then it ends. It comes out. He was using the whole time. So so i'm just saying i don't know this guy. I've taught right an hour in my whole life and i was getting paid to listen. I was listening that much so literally the exact same stick. So all i'm saying is like i don't know this guy. He lives in orange county s seen once in two years last time. The whole time story sobered all the little axe and he then comes out. I was on adderall. Doing what i was used blah blah blah. So all i'm saying is again. I don't know what this guy's doing. And then brody obviously you know the producers told make it if nothing and he goes and tells them spencer saying you're doing drugs and alcohol. It's like i. I didn't say that second of i would say that because i don't care and if i thought would make the senior probably would have said it because i don't know what you're doing if i were to bet i was going gambler i would say may i would. I don't trust anything you say. I think you're a pathological liar. So yeah so yes. That's the big drama and then on tomorrow night's episode where it gets so bad is so he confronts me at the dinner. Yeah he calls me a weirdo with no france. And he and. I had i mean. I'm definitely weirdo either. Lisa kudrow friends. You know. I don't not say you know bragging about my level of friendships but i choose not to have any friends. It takes a lot of time to friends. Yes so i again. He's he's so intense and he's fighting with me and it kept probably comes out wrong on the show because yes i've been drinking. It was a show. He's dead sober. I'm feeling cornered. And i say because all i ever hear this guy talk about is not like everything is triggering which i'm not saying. It's not you know his story. Foucault i in my so. I'm confused like this. Is not how i said it but how you know if i was a lawyer i would've said i'm confused because all you're doing talking about being triggered and how you're almost always relapsing why you fighting with a drunk person thirty at night at a party. I didn't say that. I don't want you to relapse. So everyone's ooh being scuba psyche. I'd say it again. I really don't want that like this. Seems like a not from what. I've heard about recovering people. This seems like how you relapse get into fight with a drunk person. you know about motion. This seemed like a talk. We should out over bagels and cream cheese at ten. Am by the snow. The lake in the morning do you. So this'll be the big. Oh my god so breaking news because you and heidi of any other for so long and it seemed to have a fabulous marriage in connection that maybe that is why you don't really care about friends like you're so ear twined each other and you have your you like so enjoy each other that you're like i don't care if i see other people i mean but i do have friends would never be on tv. And don't have instagram real friend. You've cast you had a fourth of july party so you have these. So do you have other attractive. Thirty-something mommy and little kill. They're all dead so they wouldn't be on. We could do realize palisades and knock. Beverly hills ottawa beyond rich ritual. Except for these few unique cases nano to know like the average these ones before nannies and the great lie. You want to be on your i g story right. They don't want you're showing there. Oh congrats to my sister-in-law being pregnant and she wasn't pregnant which is also really fucking shitty when you're trying to get pregnant and she's not fat and she was poking at because it was like you know it was the night the new season of the hills so sure but it was her choice. Obvious she wanted to ninety five thousand and episode which is probably the hills budget for hanging over the whole tires production. "Made concentrated like just happiest family and these cats are active movie normal if you would never know there from one is is and the other one here but them help each other and no accidents in the house. No nothing near just wonderful to understand that these cats are do so much and give so much love and yet would have been euthanized. Minute decorah and what we can't talk about is the therapeutic homes which i wish it could but we get letters am telling us how much this adoption has meant to them and how much or support has meant to them and with this animal needs to now. It's what pushes us through the door. It's the best you know that some animal like Get on a daily basis. This animal if i especially now with herbert This cat saved my life. We get that a lot in These touching letters about someone's personal pain that they animal. They said taking on people saying that they've never ever can have an animal is wonderful as cat has been. They said dog hat when anything. This has been this. Animal has in the joy of my life. I can't imagine life without his animal. I can't imagine living without animals. It's pretty pretty crucial especially again during hoping we're seeing massive amounts of mental health issues. Were seeing all the way youngest citing adoption behind Suicide was eight year old to try to commit suicide now. It's it's a very hard when you hear those dissects this year. The under twenty three category has been unbelievable and people. I think don't realize that children more than anything. This year were heard versus adults. I mean adults. Yes we're dying hogan but these kids are watching. Their family members die and they're mentally. Is these cats have come out in and shine for them on mazing video of these kids who don't have been ever you being surprised with this cat. In the chain within twenty four hours of their life from complete desperation to complete happiness in normality suicide allied nation is suicidal attempts. The numbers are skyrocketing since kobe story you have a adoption facility or do you have mainly foster homes you know how. How are you operating near one. Hundred percent foster base Officers both in our area. We have a giant community of officers and volunteers in connecticut as well as in new york connecticut we were aligned with national charity league in ridgefield connecticut. We have these wonderful mother. Daughter teams you foster and also volunteer in down in the south end and both in the alabama areas end. The talking have fosters outside of all the shelters in the office on rescues Those partner rosters we call those the frontline fosters. They're seeing the animals. Coming out of a directly out of the shelters appear do have frontline fosters as well. You're right now. Some marie having a couple of kittens. We took out a long island. The needed extra socializing but now they're often what we call second author so they're taking the ones we down south who are in their way station mode before they're getting adopted maybe for further personality testing or just because they're not stopped yet but we don't really believe in having cages unless now or needs super socialization so these animals have their own private rooms in people's homes. They're getting daily attention Other pets once. They've cleared medical dog testing. We want them to be part of a home because of sitting in a cage is just not gonna be normal for this an when i think that that stress in medical medical problems and this one change. I'm working on right now. Finding our own place having a home and we're looking at it a wellness center. So the cat's mcinnes will always the impostor this will be a place for us to meet attention adopters and to also work with all of our programs. I mean we'd be vision for a cat. Shelter for us is not a shoulder. It's a kind of a community wellness center where you're looking at the concept of a cafe which i think is gray. The taking it one step further making in a place where there's actual therapy components where there could be a psychologist or several on staff where there's a stress therapy remark people can come in and tap time just distress where we can have a community room where we do art classes music classes with cats. I love the idea that you had awesome on your one of your podcast. Kitty dating service. I think we're not. Why can't there be doing us feeding with these. Says that can't be fun or or dogs. I mean it could be a senate where both animals are are utilized. Maybe just in a different way. Why not be social a social fun. Happy place are reading the kiddies where our kids are older kid. Volunteers teach kids how to read again. Use the play ends with kids in there with a book in kittens and so little kids can learn how to read. I want i wanted an wants. You want someplace that very friendly. Happy place for animals to have therapy Even more so have Alternative therapies if folks are interested in finding out more about your organization. Because there's something for everyone. Yeah and today we have somewhat of a like pop culture current events episode for ya which we like to throw into the mix every now and then so we're going to just get started and jump into one of your favorite segments one of our favorite segments weird things. Why women did this week. Yes this story is very odd. It has to do with ellie kemper. I don't know if you all watch unbreakable kimmy schmidt or the office but ellie kemper is an actress who has appeared in both of those shows. And is the star of the breakable schmidt among other things so we can for began Twinning began trending on twitter after. Somebody tweeted out a newspaper story from nineteen ninety. Nine saying that ellie kemper at the time had been named queen of love and beauty at saint. Louis secretive veiled prophet ball again in nineteen ninety nine and the process is part of an organization. I guess that is called the veiled prophet nation which turns out to have some like you know like Segregationists like whites only type roots and so the internet was aflame because ellie kemper was the main character of the day. So of course the this tweet comes out right. And i'm reviewing a vanity fair article which lays out the entire affair. Because i i d m aside. I was like okay. You need to check out this. Ellie kemper situation. 'cause it's like bizarre. It's wild everybody was like. Oh my god. So ellie kemper was like miss teen queen. Kkk like in saint louis missouri and then others were like you know a fancy event put on by our local k. k. is the lots of kkk affiliations. Were being made so that led to journalists in twitter's and other people dig into like the actual history of this organization How elliot was the veiled prophet queen and it's just like fascinating because you know of course secret societies exist. I'm not just not just like the ones that we hear about all the time the illuminates such like there's a lot. There's a time like like very strange stuff so Yeah are weird things. White women did this week. And i think ellie kemper kinda was taken by surprise because it's from a long time ago when she was like literally a teenager and it just kind of came up like this week. And so yeah. That's the story. That's the switch. That is so weird and so supposedly. There's like no actual ties between the veiled prophet and the kkk. But that they're still light deeply problematic history of this organization and like awful thing to be tied to you know even if it was a long time ago. I think like the conversation that i've seen around is like do we. How do we allow people to grow. Like the internet is like quick to like make judgment and all these things and gets really complicated when you're talking about race and racism right because it's like. Oh you know those things. Aren't that complicated. You're racist or you're not you know. Yeah and it's also interesting to you a secret. Society is exclusive societies members. Only societies country. Loves all this stuff right a lot. More celebs and wealthy folks around us have been raised in these organizations than we know or recognize like. I didn't realize that this stuff existed until i went to high school and then all of a sudden everybody was like. Oh my ball my deadball deadball. I'm like what the fuck is a ball. Oh a debutante ball over the national charity league and all the other societies that they belong to which are like very members only exclusive. And i have to assume probably somewhere along the line have some connection to segregationists classes at the very least right. Mary separatists type stuff. You know as wealthy white people do so yeah. This is just another slice of life. I guess and other look into white womanhood in america. Yes yes that's a very great way to put it because it's true. these secret. societies are rooted in racism. Classism sexism lot. Lots of different things. I think the the deeper you go the more you uncover. And it's like one of those things where it's like once you know one like once you pull that thread like you find the others right all right so this has been another installment of where things white women did this week even though it's a weird thing matt elliott Nineteen ninety nine. It was relevant this week so we went over it for you all now. We're going to talk about something. I'm sarah excited about benefactor. Is bag baby. talk here..

ellie kemper america sarah kimmy schmidt iphone Ellie kemper both matt elliott today elliot codeine Hulu twitter sabrina Golly Nine saint louis missouri one this week Louis

"national charity league" Discussed on Leadership Looks Like Podcast

"Didn't know why I was thinking. Wow. And it was it, and it drew the attention of his boss, and the executives, and so they pulled me into the office and they said, we understood, we've senior review, and we think it's unfair and I was like, okay, what do you mean? And they said, we'll tell us how it's you know how things are going. And I said, well, I'm feeling more. I'm confident I'm able to do things on my own. And so that's where it's shifted, for me is that when someone is responsible for someone or has people that report to them, and I've seen this multiple times, and they have a sense of control over an individ-. And then that individual gets more confidence to be able to do things on their own and make decisions on their own it becomes a threat to the person who's their, their superior or their manager. Right. And that's what happened to me. And at that point, and through my career that's where and I know you're gonna ask me this later about leadership. But that's where I realized. Empowerment is so critical to leadership, and I'd rather have all leaders in my group, the not because there's a point of view there. And if you don't have a point of view, it's difficult to work together, and so I want employees and staff and people in my life to be empowered to make a decision or come together and collaborate or be feel comfortable to say, I don't know because there's a lot. I don't know. And I make sure everybody around me knows that look, I don't have all the answers, and I don't expect everybody to have all the answers. But here's some people to reach out to where I may lose my patience. If those individuals don't reach out to the people that I've suggested getting information from because really that's gathering information to do your job. And so, you know, back to that threat piece, I was becoming confident and it, it backfired. On me. We worked through it, and everything was fine. And. You know, and my boss, got talking to, and, and we talked it out, and he realized it was like I was his protege, and all of a sudden he felt like he was losing control of me and he had ownership in my development and I reminded him. Oh, absolutely. I look to you, as you were instrumental in my development and my learning you've invested a lot of time in teaching me, and I appreciate that. And that's all the conversation that needed to be had just opened up of communication communication is key. Which I mean my next question to you was going to be, what advice, would you give to that boss of yours? And of course, we're just speaking about this one example. You know what if you're in that situation where you're mentoring someone, or you're with a colleague, and you start to feel insecure? Or we talk a lot about imposter syndrome, or those types of situations with what's your advice to somebody on the feeling that way to work through that was someone else community. Nation is one right right communication. So my advice to someone who's feeling like they're like, they're not being treated fairly right? Or the or they're being threatened, right. We'll communication. Yeah. Number one, and, you know, and that's that's an interesting question because, you know, I know how I would handle situation but not everybody has the experience or the wherewithal to or the personality to deal with those situations, but really, the communication is, is really key and then having an opportunity or a mechanism in place for someone if they can't go talk to their superior who can they talk to me, and I think that's really important because I realize, especially after, you know, so many years in the workplace that not every person's chemistry mixes, and not everybody sees things, the same way or not. Everyone has the emotional intelligence, frankly. I mean they just don't. And, and some people can't get there. And so that's when you have to sort of make some shifts and, and really ask people what is it that you want? What do you need and try to work through it? So as a leader, a lot of what I'm doing is mentoring and coaching, which two different things. And, and it's not just it's not a one way, you know, it's, it's bringing, you know, talking to both or three or who all's involved and really just, you know bringing them together. It's one of the biggest challenges to, you know, it's one of the biggest challenges, I have had someone come to me. You know who, who, who feels I should have more. But isn't having that opportunity to, to do more or feels don't have the opportunity and I had a real candid conversation. And you know, as soon as this person said, I'm afraid to make a mistake. I was like, oh, did you hear yourself say it again? I'm afraid to make a mistake. I go Google that because being afraid can be your downfall. Okay. It's okay to be afraid, but knowing how to how to handle that, you know, I'm like okay to make a mistake. If you don't make mistakes, you always have a fear of making a mistake. So it's, it's important for young professionals, especially to have that environment that they can make a mistake and learn from it and not be chastised for it, or, or, you know, punished for it because we're human, and like, I'm and I made many mistakes. I mean, I you know, there's also you make a decision and you move on. And it's not always the right decision and sharing that with other people demonstrates to others that it's okay to make a mistake. Yeah. Where you learn. That's how you grow accountable. And, and, you know, and just, you know, not making mistake and let someone else clean it up. You know, it's, it's really how do I get there to make it right? Yeah. Yeah. When you talk about mistakes, you know what I'm just going to mess up because the sabotage or I have a bad attitude or something like that. You're doing your best. You're trying. You know, you're, you're trying everything you can within your realm of understanding, and it just didn't work out. So, right. You learn from it, right? Yeah. Right. So what was it like to move from a design design environment, like we're two not out, yet to nonprofit with really a whole different mission. Right. Right, right. A whole different mission. Well it I love it. Absolutely love it. I, I thought I worked hard, my thirty year career working Justice hard and I mean, not only did I shift I shifted careers and totally new organization. So I this first year I've been learning everything new. But it's rewarding. I see I'm making a difference. I have an incredible team. You know, I have I have high functioning team, very confident team. I have, you know, few newer professionals, that are, you know, have big dreams but little experience. So that is time consuming. But that's you know, that's part of being a leader is helping them get their and. Because we all really believe in the mission, we're working wonderfully together. But I had I really had no idea going into it. How complicated the organization is. I mean, I'm familiar with nonprofits, I sat on a board. I've, you know my daughter, and I are part members of the national charity league, which was a mother daughter organization. So we've all in tiered multiple hours a year and different organizations and I love that she loved it. It really opened our eyes to our community and the organizations that needed help and needed volunteers. And so with this, this with girl scouts, it's like a corporation with business different business units. Yeah. I mean, it's, it's not we have a mission, but we have volunteer management, we have membership. We have recruitment program whip programs. We have. A retail sales, finance marketing social media. Training, you name, it products sales vitamin to not? And it's every day there's something going on. Oh, yeah, yeah. When when it comes to working for the girl scouts of America, does the, the national organization have guidelines in and they do that help that you can plug into, yes. And so their resources are plenty. In fact, there's, there's a lot of there's multiple layers of resources. I don't think there's enough time to get through it all, but they, they do provide resources, which is very helpful there, is there has been an initiative in the last five years to get councils aligned with a national standard. So each council has a charter and are charters renew or evaluated on certain strategies and certain criteria to get our next charter, so we have a three year. Charter currently they monitor they monitor membership. They monitor sales, a monitor your budget and, and I mean, we're really self sufficient here. They don't really have any management control over us. But they do provide like shared services. So you sail sports where all all in the Salesforce, platform which records, all of our cases, and all of our calls, and we use that as our, as our marketing and sales management tool. Okay case you're tracking Lee. Yes. The tracking leads get data driven all new for me from the design world. Yeah. That's all. Yeah. The data driven information aside from finance, because that that was part of my world, but the, the membership numbers and the demographics and of the area and how we have to strategically target and see because really the targeting is, we have so many us so many children that could be benef-. Fitting for multiple programs in our community. And I think that I mean our councils serving four percents of the girls, and there's such the so much more opportunities to give are more girls the opportunity for this programming. And the programming is wonderful financial literacy, leadership skills advocacy, steam related badge, work, in journeys, which have cybersecurity robotics coating it's really, it's really volved in the last ten years, you know, I, I know people have said in the past, it was cookies and crafts, but it is so much more sophisticated, and, and an, an offer something for all girls, you know, they aren't into steam, then there's other things there's outdoor adventure. There's, there's just multiple opportunities to build that courage. Character and confidence yet. Sounds like it's changed since I was a brownie. I'm because I remember, I'm total tomboy out. And so we have a lot of tomboys. Yeah. So it came to a point for me where I really just lost interest in the organization because, you know, there wasn't a didn't feel like there was something that I was interested in doing. But it sounds like that, that's changed involved, and, and there's plenty of options available for girls there are. Yeah, there are out as a local chapter, do you have a bit of flexibility to bend to whatever the needs of the community might be? We have. Yeah. We absolutely. Yes, we have a we have flexibility to bend. I mean, there are some criteria that we want to follow to provide that troop experience, you know, that true girl scout experience because part of the mission is to have girls engage. With other girls, you know, there is a, there is a program, where girls you know, if they're scheduled doesn't permit, they can be independent, which is called Juliet, but really? True troop experience where they're learning how to collaborate, how to get along with different types of, you know, individuals personalities is to have that troop. You know, a troop isn't three or four girls. It's, it's five to eight calls. So we have some criteria that we want to stay true to that national Jesus say suggests minimum requirements and, but we do our markets are all very different. So we respond accordingly. The data we were just talking the data. Tell me about fundraising with the girl scouts. We all know about girl scout cookies. In fact, you brought me somethin' mental gently leagues. Yes. What other ways do you raise money in the community? So other ways that we raise money. So we have a big gala dessert before dinner every year it's September fourteenth this year that has been we're we'll be in our eleventh year. It's been a success year over year. And last year, we really talked about our mission and the opportunities that girl scouts provides for girls that really want to have that experience, but perhaps come from a, a school that is under served, and, or from families, or communities that are underserved. So we have scholarship opportunities for girls to participate in girl scouts and our programming. So at our gala we fundraise for scholarship money for girls to be part of girl scouts..

"I shifted careers and wholly new organization. So this first year. I've been learning everything new. But it's rewarding and i see i'm making a difference. I have an incredible team You know i have. I have high functioning team very confident team. I have a few Newer Professionals that are you know have big dreams but little experience so that is time consuming. But that's you know that's part of being a leader is helping them get there and because we all really believe in the mission. We're working wonderfully together. But i had. I really had no idea going into it. How complicated the organization is i mean. I'm i'm familiar with nonprofits. I sat on the board. I've you know my daughter. And i are part Members of the national charity league which was a mother daughter organization so We've volunteered multiple hours a year and different organizations and i love that she loved it. It really opener is to our community and the organizations that needed help and needed volunteers And so with this this with girl scouts. It's like a corporation with business. Different business units. Yeah i mean it's it's not. We have a mission but we have volunteer management. We have membership. We have recruitment program with programs. We have a retail sales finance marketing. Social media training. You name it products sales. If i didn't mention that and it's every day there's something going on. Oh yeah yeah when when it comes to working for the girl. Scouts of america does the the national organization have guidelines in. And they do that. Help that you can plug into. Yes and so. Their resources are plenty in fact. There's there's a lot of there's multiple layers of resources. I don't think there's enough time to get through it all but they they do provide resources which is very helpful There is there has been an initiative in the last five years to get councils aligned with a national standard so each council has a charter and are charters. Renew or evaluated on Certain strategies and certainly criteria to get our next charter. So we have a three year charter. Currently they monitor They monitor membership. They monitor sales a monitor. Your budget and and i mean we're really self sufficient here. They don't really have any management control over us but they do provide shared services. So you sail sports. Were all on the salesforce platform which records all of our cases and all of our calls and we use that as our as in our marketing and sales management tool. Okay case you're tracking lee. Yes the tracking. Leads data driven. All new for me from the design world. Yeah that's all. The data driven information aside from finance because that that was part of my world. But the the membership numbers and the Demographics and of the area and how we have to strategically target and see because really the targeting is. We have so many so many children that could be benefiting from multiple programs in our community. And i think that. I mean our councils serving four percent of the girls and there's such the so much more opportunities to give our more girls. The opportunity for this programming and the programming is wonderful.

"Last night, I was at a charity event called art and soup. I'm part of a group with my daughter called national charity league mother daughter thing where you go do a bunch of charity stuff, and it gives you an excuse to be together. And it's it's a great. "We had the mother daughter luncheon this weekend. Yes. How's that? Okay. First of all, it was really fun. We had a great time. But. We've been going for ten years. I've been going since max was five and this is national charity league juniors. So that graduate in sixth grade. So I used to take backs and then when Kat was old enough it would take the two of them. And then cocoa maximum in sixth grade. Coco was five so I took all three one year and then max graduated and this was cats last year is that crazy insane. So the theme was into the woods. And I kept looking at it. Like, what does that really mean? Or is it like the musical? Or are we wearing flannel lumberjack kinda what are we doing this? Yeah. What are we doing? So because tomorrow when I told her about it. She was like, I'm thinking Boho. Let's not go themed. Right. All right. So I pick out this blue dress. And it was so funny because I ordered this blue dress, and it's from because a lot of people are asking, it's Johnny. Okay. And I got it at sounds like Giovanni Giovanni. No, it's Johnny. And I think I got it. At at least Walker K. We're intermix. Maybe intermix sounds like an intermixed brand. Right. Can't remember anyway, G I A N, and it's all blue. And it was Mark him over. I'm like, look I bought this dress. What do you think about this dress for lunch? And she goes I showed you that dress like three weeks ago. And you said it was hideous. Oh my God. You would I'm like, I change my mind. I really like it now. For the lunges. Like, yes, as she wanted me to style it with blue shoes. Blue yellow blue blue was the most vibrant blue. It was beautiful blue. Will everyone always says to me, why don't you wear a color? It's gorgeous. So here I am in this whole blue look, do you watch Handmaid's tale. I don't okay. So in Handmaid's tale, they have these commanders and the wives, and they they have basically like uniforms they wear and so the commander's wife is into all blue. Okay. I'm head to toes wearing this outfit in my sister. Of course, it's always my sister puts a comment on my picture saying why are you dressed like the commander's wife? So I wrote her back I go praise be because that's what they say. So funny. I was hollering rag to come on the show. I keep asking her to come on the show. I'm waiting dignty here. Your guy says banter like you guys always laugh together. So I post this picture Katharina was wearing her first pair of heels of it was a gold wedge. And she was so funny. She's like, I just don't know if I can walk in these. But she did she great. So she was wearing this white dress with gold accents on it. And I really cute pale gold leather jacket. She's so gorge and her she's so cute and her little wedges and cocoa had wanted a suit. Now, I need to respond to the seven thousand questions and comments a why about coke? I just want to talk with one funny thing, which is people were commenting on the tailoring of hirsute. Like, really, Heather. You don't have a good tailor. You have to go to my Instagram. You could see the picture. So she was wearing an all white suit a linen. In suit with a white shirt and a pink bowtie and white vans. She picked out the entire outfit. Yeah. Head to toe and she had braids. So this is what happened. I got the suit in. And I was like we have to take it in Taylor. We have to go try it on and sort of gets away from you. And there was no time or cut to it's now a week before the event, right? Oh god. If I don't take it in today. It's going to be a disaster. And the place was closed. You had told us that you like cross our fingers it works out. Okay. Yeah. So remember, I pinned it myself..

"Heather Dubroca world. And now you can live in it two times a week right here podcast one. Welcome back. Everybody know, welcome back. Missy and I'm I'm better anymore. That's awesome. Every week cold is done that is so nice Nikki sick. Now. Not good. I know he tried to get out of going to school. Of course. He did last night. He was already started. Oh, yeah. I'm like, dude, you're fifteen. We just let it go quick stop doing that. So crazy, I'm really excited 'cause Jamie Lynn Sigler and Jamie Perez on the show, so fun. They have a new podcast called mom said. And I'm going to be on their show too. So we're doing a little switcheroo love it. So, you know, I tested the girls for the new school. So we find out like soon like like this week soon either today or Monday. Oh my gosh. Are they nervous are they don't even remember when I you know, I don't want to talk to them a too much about it. Because if they don't get in. I don't want it to be a bad thing. I got Coco's test scores back. Oh, gosh. What happens? Oh, she got in the ninety seventh percentile for math. Wow. Which was really cool. And I can't remember exactly how many questions that would kinda to make this up. But if only got three wrong in the math section. Wow. And then in the English the reading section she got six wrong, which equated to a sixty seven percent tile, which is interesting because she's such a good reader. So this is what's crazy? And the reason I'm bringing this up is not to throw my kid under the bus. But really six percent. But here's the thing. First of all when you apply to these schools. They look at the whole picture not just the one test. At I've talked about this before. But I just really want to reiterate this because a lot of schools are taking ER be tests in the spring and kids are gonna take the SAT's in the ACT's and all of this. They have to come up with tests for the kids to in some way figure out where they're at right. But they're not perfect tests. So I don't get hung up on the scores. Cocoa reads at a high school level. Yeah. Teri does that thing with her sometimes when we're about to have dinner and he pulls up because she likes quizzes so hill, give her a little reading comprehension test from seventh grade second. And then we'll do eighth grade. Then they'll do not see how far she can get. She's very good at coating words. So she can read at you know, I don't think she understands a lot of those words that she's reading at the high school level, but the overall just gender stands therefore, she can make up what I wouldn't give her a novel to right right now. But yeah, but she's reading in all. She's reading land of stories series from Christopher cofer the actor from glee. They're really good. And but she reads about loud to me, and we discuss them. So I know she understands them. So my point is she did so poorly on this reading section, and she's an amazing reader. I just want to say to everyone don't stress. It's okay. Some kids get nervous at tests. Some aren't test-takers some blow off some getting Zayed's. It's just I mean, I was never good at those doubts tests. Terrible terrible. Even even just multiple choice. I would just not do great pixie. Now. Now, it's a little too late. All right. I think you've done fine. I think you've done just fine. So we have on Saturday. We have the mother daughter luncheon for national charity league. Yes. So I've been going to this for years. We've talked about this, and it's caterina's last one cocoa. Brought me a bag of money yesterday. Bribing you not to go. No, no. But good guess. That's a thirty dollars. Right. Joe jr. Big trust. I didn't she has a white suit. She did get the whites. Did. I tell you that. Yeah. Yeah. You got her a white suit? She picked out a pink tie, so cute bow tie, white shirt and white vans. Love it. Yeah. And I think she wants decided to wear braids. But I'm not sure and I had took it to the Taylor Taylor was closed pit it myself. We'll see how it goes. Because they're gonna fix anyway, she brings me in this bag of money..
