"As a young boy in Mechanicsville Virginia Nate Medina had a habit of disappearing nate and had a tendency to wander. He'd sneak out the back door. If you didn't keep an eye on him and he would would go onto people's front porches and if they had wind chimes he would just stand under their wind chimes and listen to the wind chimes chime. That's neat stat. It Kevin Metheny. Nate was always drawn to sound partly because he had William Syndrome is a genetic condition that involves developmental delays and heart problems and people with Williams Syndrome often have hyper-sensitive hearing at six years. Old Nate couldn't talk but he sang or hummed. Almost all the time one day nate seemed irritable. He couldn't use words to tell his parents what was wrong but clearly something was that evening. His parents looked at the couch. Innate wasn't humming in fact he wasn't moving his lips had turned blue. Nate Sister Caroline Caroline was nine years old at the time and remembers it clearly. I just got back home from my daycare after school and I was watching teenage mutant Ninja Turtles Dell's and like my parents started freaking out because they realized that he wasn't breathing and they were on the phone with nine one one nine nine one one was telling them how to do. CPR until they got there and my mom noticed shining. They're looking in fear so she shoved me into the office office to watch my show. Her parents rushed him to the hospital. As word about nate spread through town was at dinner at Applebee's with my family of five going through my facebook theme Tamra letter new. Nate's Mom Diane in Highschool Sa Diane Post a request for prayer. Nate's a heart had stopped and they were trying to revive him and we play store orders at our restaurant and my world continued on and her world completely stopped. Nate's parents always feared this day. Might come but they didn't expect it to happen so quickly. The local hospital tried to prep up nate to take a helicopter ambulance to you the A but they couldn't seem to stabilize him. And after just a few hours nate died. Nate's nate's older sister. Caitlin remember seeing their dad the next day for years. He'd give a nate his morning meds. He woke up really early. And he's like what do I do with my more makings. Yeah I just remember. Actually seeing him cry for the first time does looking desperate for what to do next three days later. Tamra that woman at Applebee's was at nights week thinking of his mother Diane. I felt the weight eight of that loss and it just felt so heavy. A wanted to help. But I didn't know how she mentioned this to another woman and as the two of them stood the next nate's casket. They formed a plan. They decided that for one year they would shower. Diane's family with anonymous acts of kindness and they'd recruit women in different corners of Diane's life to join them we created a facebook group. I chose five ladies and Michelle chose five ladies that was it. They called themselves the secret sisters. Each of the twelve women was assigned a month and for that what month they commit to three things. Pray for Nate's family every day since small gestures of love throughout the month and give one larger gift all anonymously. Nate's parents remember getting that first card signed from the secret. Sisters immediately began investigating the people were that looks like so and so's handwriting and thus began the stream of anonymous notes and gifts from the secret sisters stairs. Tamra says she and the others usually made deliveries under the cover of darkness. I was terrified that I would drive by their house and they would recognize my car. Are you know when was the last time you Ding Dong ditch. Somebody as a forty year old. It was always a joy getting ready to go out the door and all of a sudden. It's like Whoa. There's a there's basket on the front porch or there's something hidden in the mailbox or there's something out of my car. They were really creative. The family was given crafts. AFS Food and gift cards to movies and bowling alleys and restaurants things to distract them from their grief. It Touch Diane that these mysterious givers. I knew her son so well. For example Diane received one gift in particular that reflected nate's obsession with ladybugs. She opened the package edge to see a set of wind chimes. Just like the ones nate used to wander off to find. Small ladybugs dangled among the chimes. I just started crying. I mean it was joy mixed with grief. Nate was still being remembered. You would hear those chimes go off just about every day it seemed like and it was just a subtle reminder that that's something something they loved a year after nate's death. His family received a large stuffed envelope from the secret sisters. We're like Oh what's IT GONNA. It'll be now and It was a puzzle when they put the Jigsaw together. They saw an invitation to a picnic at the park. It was finally time to meet the secret. Sisters is the day of the party. The twelve women from different parts of Diane's life gathered nervously under a shelter are at the park waiting to finally reveal themselves then Diana and her family arrived they got out of their car and they scanned across and saw all of a standing there. It really wasn't overwhelming moment. We all pretty much were in tears. Then they reminisce together about a year that had turned from terrible sadness too deep deep joy it was the best thing that could come out of a horrible situation looking at all. The friends soon gathered Tamra saw that over one year a little idea had turned into something big. I realized that the seemingly small things that we do in life

"Too complex. And then we got him back because he wanted to move to New York. Well, yeah, it was just the even the person we, we don't talk about was here and he shouldn't have been here. If Trent wasn't going to be here, you know what I mean lived in New York, but right? She's just weird. Yeah. Who was here KMart. Go fights, KFC Dave bay cat. PF. PFC me. X Ray Nate Nate. Holy guys cola gas fights where it was. Haley caterer kale. Kahlo tired like. Oh, no. Not fight. KFC's intern. Oh, I didn't really I didn't know when that happens, I knew fights was that happened. Pfizer Milton, obviously flights got beaten out by Devlin for like the first ever sear for the first showed up wearing wearing a tuxedo and like Dave thought that was like a try hard move. So it's just like no, but then he ended up being at Casey radio in Turner. So, yeah, and then Devlin was just like an intern for twenty years. I'm pretty jammed. Wasn't even fulltime with bar story. I think he was. It was it's amazing. It was only like two years ago to. Yeah. Plus three point criteria been three years in New York. What was your initial reaction? When you got the call from day of that, it was then, when did you was there any, like, did you think like, oh, we might get sold? Well, classic Dave, every time I get a call from Dave regarding news. He's like, yeah, you probably heard this already assuming, like I talked to anybody like casually around Barcelona. Nobody talked to me. So, like I had no idea whatsoever was going on. I was just like okay that's new and moving to New York. I already had a New York song and dance where I crashed and burned here. So I was like mother fucker York, but I remember at the time thinking, okay, Lisa's, Barron. Boston. I'm not moving that far away from home. So it was like, okay, here we go again, but no no point in my mind was I like, okay I'm staying in Philly while everyone's going New York conversation that office without smitty Nate dynamic co my God completely different office. Well, this his famous periscope happened like just before the movie. I remember. They were talking about like the seating chart that night. Or what are you guys had? There were some fights before, then right? Yeah. No, because the hockey after. No. That was definitely a Skype rundown. Ed schneider. Yeah. That was after the bullet though. Yeah. That was good. Twenty sixteen playoffs. Yeah. Right. I'm ready shirt prep in the move at that point. Right. Right. So the Skype the periscope was, like, August because the move of September. No, no. They were doing the seating chart. So that was like June. It was, I think it was like literally two weeks before we moved because, like I remember. August. Yeah. I thought the purse cope was like August and then like before that in a move by timelines. A little blurry. Yeah. But no. I remember we can move on though. Yeah. I was a sleep. And I just got like my phone blowing up over the place, saying that Nate was going all in on me. And like tagging Erica, saying, I should be fired to what the tag goes. Crazy. Oh shit. Yeah. Gets hopped up on Shirley temples and you never know what he's going to do. So it's ninety by April eleven twenty sixteen and that that was when there was an original at the time on. That'd be kinda does because no it matters to us. But it doesn't matter to the people listening right now. Yeah. Whatever, whatever. Why? Know up to date on their postal regardless complete wild move by Nate. Absolutely come out of nowhere and trash me in front of the CEO, and it wasn't last time. He did that. So that's why you got neutered. Oh well Eric Eric. You're on the line. What he got? Is this going on? So I wanted to know more about like Francis Francis special. But while you guys are talking mardi mardi reminds me of Billy Nazi goes, you know, I haven't seen a blink duct before. So I wanna draw blue duck. Like that's what I think, mardi much like brain is every single time I hear him that's pretty sad. One hundred pretty close. You got pretty spot on what, what do you want to know about what do you wanna know about Francis special? That hasn't been mentioned already like an hour an hour long are there like people before him or, like I of want to know what it is? So to kinda get ready for it. Yeah, we're Francis comes back who answer that. I'm like, I think I can answer. At least the fact that it will be an hour long. And he did have people opening up for math, the shows. But I think the video on barstool gold is just going to be his yes performance. Yeah. Yeah. So standard special like CO, Netflix, and all of that, and it'll be good because they took basically two performances and they edited together, like the best jokes from each which, by the way, I never Francis was explaining. That's my never knew that was the thing that all comedy specials do. To take the best Joe. Yeah. And it's funny because like every single Bill Burr one, there's always like one fan who decides to like heckle or something. Yeah. Think that, like they would take the do over one, but the heckling so funny the way he comes back at them. They end up using that because he's always like, oh, always want every fucking stand up show. I do always one. It's impressive. How fast is with them to always is on boo? I was at the shows a blast I was sitting way up in the nose bleeds payroll, like oh, you couldn't get better seats. Don't you like no, the kid and then he was like, yeah. Afterwards just walked back stage. We'll hang out. I go to walk backstage, like, yeah. No one's allow back here and I, I showed them, I show the movies like he says, I'm on the list are like no. It turned out like no one was on the list. So I didn't get singled out. Yeah. That was the second show though, which is low more rowdy and packed. I was at the first show with, like Eric Gaz, and the cousins, Dave's, dad and cousin Murray were upstairs. We're all downstairs, and I finally saw them win cousin Mike was just after the performance was yelling at a security guard. We say I need to say Francis. Let me. This little Jewish guy, going and security guard like what's going on here? It's like he won't let me backstage to see Francis. I need to congratulate Francis like, okay, relax. We'll go take my hand. He's come a long ways because when we performed in Long Island we actually had to get a ride home back to New York from like a random person who was at our show. And to France has had his keyboard there. And we will just ask some random do grabbing drinks was like, hey, I can give you guys a ride home. So we get in his car, and he's like it's a little bit thirty. He opens up the back door and just trash scar, what was the plan. Otherwise, maybe take an Uber the Hawaii. Yeah. We didn't really have a plan during during your show in Philly, which I open, we'll take the train down together, and it's like a seven o'clock show. Yeah. Or whatever. And like you're tight on time, but you kind of need to be there. You just didn't get off the train. I ended up in Wilmington. Yeah. I was I was brutally hung over on the train from Boston to Philly because we had a show the previous night in Boston, and I left my bags and like three different cars of the train, so we arrive in Philly. I'm like, oh shit. I gotta collect my stuff and as I'm collecting it the train is leaves and. To Wilmington, Delaware. So I like forty five minutes away from Phil. Yeah. So I shut out a tweet and I was like, I might miss my show him way to Delaware in a random stool he hit me up. I worked near Wilmington, but I live in Philly, and I'm actually going to your show tonight. I, I can come pick you up. And so just like picked me up at the Wilmington train station. Drove me back to Philly and made it in time for the show. So that conversation showed out the stories. It started off great. He was actually wicked friendly kid. But then I was stolen brutally hung over. So I was like, oh my God, I'm gonna puke this guy's car. So I just had to tell them I was like, hey, I'm sorry. But, like we can't we can't really talk anymore. They'll be I'm just going to put the seat bag and put my shades on and try to sleep, a lot of show. I was a good time. Was a good night. I bombed by the way, which was not fun. That was my first time doing stand up in, like two years, or more than that, like three or four years. And I came on, like it's a painting doing my old set like I can do. Fifteen minutes no problem with, like my old joke. Just very generic kind of self deprecating stuff and I came out doing, like an actual stand up bit. And people were just yelling Haro and fuck. Nate I felt so I'm like, well, I felt that but, but it just it ruined the flow because I, I didn't know where to see. Yes. Experts, the out of snake Zach, but it actually it made me in Francis. Look better in comparison. So. You were the bad made of speech, basically. And they were. Pretty much. Yeah, but it's okay, and then I did a couple more shows with, Francis where I actually, like embrace the role in like was able to do barstool jokes, and it's just like, oh, this is a whole fuck load easier than actually like trying to jokes you want or separate, you did meet a girl that night I think not a big deal still dating. Wow, that's nuts. That was like three years ago or something like that. All right. So it looks like you bombing ended up. Awesome. Because you like crack a joke. Now she's like Penn. That, right. Rushed me. She said that before. She'll say it again. Yeah. Earn a brother in the crowd. What a what an experience. We're gonna hit up a break real quick. All right. Four thousand.
