If you've never done that you've never tried to live that life or competed in something in high school where we had to. You may not know and on a human level. And i'm just a guy that i had to do it myself. That hundred eight five pounds moved up two hundred five pounds but life just gets better all of a sudden those days in the gym and the training but having fuel in your body to go do what you just feel better. You're in a better spirit year to better attitude fight week itself becomes a lot less stressful trying to do interviews trying to work out even trying to sleep when you're dehydrated very tough stuff and i just know that it's one way to extend your career the less taxing things you can put on your body including of the way cut the greater chance you have to extending your career figueredo to do it so that he could go through what. I went through which was be happier. Be more pleasant person to be around. I also liked the way that he would compete though. He is very strong. A you know you see that even through tv you can see that when he takes his shirt off the way he looks like. He's carved out of stone but he's also very physically strong guys can't just change weights the nice thing to say but they could have high tissues or they reach issues. He does not have height or reach issues he is built like a one thousand five absolutely and is he's going to go and he's going to get he's gonna go right to the top. I guarantee you guys that can beat him. I mean could you know if he runs into he can go with anybody he'd get right in there and compete and i don't know that he's going to refined the championship at one. Twenty five with verano so in that regard. What's the difference. What's the difference and you're going to be the number two guy in this class. You're going to be the number six in this class. The other way that went up the guys that go up the extra work at him because they have the extra energy that can be a little bit happier the maybe are a little bit undersized but they find that that gives them a speed advantage it also helps their conditioning instantly instantly your conditioning goes up the other guys carrying more pounds ready to just one of those things but i think when you do look at hundred thirty five pounds and you look at. I think that it's very compelling. I think many of those match ups are going to be very fun. Told you figuring who's gonna fight dominant cruz. I think you'd be thrilled. Tell you figure out who's gonna fight san hagan. He's gonna fight. Sean o'malley i think that you would be thrilled down at one hundred and twenty five pounds. "Which i might add is pretty generous by me. Get a load of this. Nate diaz throws a party. Now gilbert went to the party. So i'll talk to gilbert up. I'll find out some of these questions that i have. But i don't know him right now. Here's what happened okay. Nate rented a house in arizona. He didn't stay at the hotel. He rented a house. He then after the fight throws a party by guess who was invited everyone. He announced it in the ring and then he put the address on instagram. Now made all in has a reach of about five million case. So i can only imagine how big this party was. I can only imagine how many of you went to his instagram and followed it up. Made your way out to this house. What i'm thinking about is the guy that rented the house. I would imagine this is like an airbnb situation. Probably quite literally an airbnb logged on a nate signed up for x. amount of days. I don't think the guy knows that he was gonna throw a party and invite five million people. I don't know. I don't know how it went. Gilbert went to it. I will hear from. I'll find out. I don't know if there was security there. I don't know if they charge you at the door. I don't know how this works. All i know is somebody rented a house out and had five million strangers invited to it. It doesn't sound like the world's greatest recipe by the way. The as i must give him credit he had a fantastic line was before the fight. Dana was talking about whoever wins. The fight can fight the winner of whoever wins between colby and kamar nate said. I don't care if i beat leon. I'm still fighting for the championship now. The reason it was a great lines. Because there's a lot of truth in that. He whatever he does next it will be a main event and he will sell out an arena and if he comes in second and that one whatever he does after that he will be a main event and he will pack the house he got to a point in his creates the ultimate spot cooling. How can i possibly count on you to show up on fight night. Dana was so upset. Here's what happened. Sportscenter picked it up sport. It was such a great visual of dana. White up there with george saint-pierre in his in his fancy suit with his goal belt an empty chair. It was such a compelling shot. Sportscenter ran it. There was nothing that nick could've done at that press conference nothing. He could have lit up a joint. There was nothing he could have done if he was there. That would get as much play as the empty chair. Dana in the middle on the phone to cesar gracie. Because remember this the whole it could not have gone better. It was the most brilliant mark dana had to keep the fight on. He had like deal with whatever i gotta deal with. I'll pay somebody to out to stock then walking and give me up. I mean i don't know how to handle it. But he had to keep the fight on like it was everywhere at this point. He was not bluffing. He was he was gonna pull it out done. You can't cut it a press conference. I can't trust you to come anywhere else. I'm not selling people a ticket for something. I don't believe i can predict things. It got so big soaping. I watched it on sports. I watched it. There is a visual component to this that you cannot beat. There was george. There was dana. There was an empty chair. It probably added thirty percent to their pay per view. Whatever the number was going to be. That probably tacked on about thirty percent. And i remember the pr folks at the for this. They were they were sweating it. They'd they thought this paper we was going to bomb. They thought it was going to bomb. Because they were juxtaposing. How much coverage they were getting. How many interviews. What was nick doing. He wasn't doing any. George was never great at that. That's just not what george did. Did it like to do that. Don't do very much of it. Nick did none. They couldn't even get him on the phone. The pr people. They thought it was a bomb. It did the opposite. It did the opposite. It turned out that nick was a brilliant marketing. I'm just not giving him credit. Could i think it's unintentional per usual. Nate diaz is the story after the fight. Regardless of the result leeann edwards actually won the fight. The first mexican-born champion and of course another title defense for israel out of sonya on sonya versus vittori guys. I saw something. I saw a close in competitive fight. I saw a fight where they were trading around back and forth and when the fight was over i was very sure that ana sonya one because in a worst case scenario was to to to going in to the fifth and he won the fifth but i still saw a fight where i need to hear what bruce buffer has to say. I don't know. And i only bring that to you because it was fifty forty five. That is fiction. That was not five rounds. And i even read on the dirt sheets that i go to the mayonnaise and the elbows easy night for oughta sonya things like this where you kidding. What fight did you possibly watch. That was back and forth was not an easy fight fraud of signing off signed to two things. That were remarkable. Because don't forget this is a rematch and we're only here to find out one thing between you two boys who got better. That's the question split decision the first time which one of you got better. The last time they fought was two thousand and eighteen by the way what a fun fact finding the exact same arena that they fought in the sable rena but three years later. Who got better okay. It was a little bit of a surprise enough that let's see that one again but where do we go. We were told at one point. That whitaker said he didn't want to do the. I guess i guess that means yes and in all fairness. I don't know what my appetite is for. These guys are going to have to sell me just a little bit. If he loses he goes way back to the bottom of the pile. And let's be honest. It's going to take a long time if ever to get him. A title shot again. Because it's not the biggest drawn. He doesn't solve fights and look just how long it's taken to get to this point and nathan's doing a huge favor by you know nathan picked him and that's why he got this flight and it made all the sense of the world. I feel like there is nothing in terms of pressure that that that nathan has to deal with now of course he has to deal with leon being a great fighter. But you agree with that assessment. And you think that plays into this fight. At all nate naked diaz has proven that Wins and losses. Don't matter for him. And i think he comes into the spite knowing that like nathan nathan. Es approaches spikes knowing that he's eisai right it even even to his credit even if he's matched up with conor mcgregor or habib or whoever he will know or his mind. You will know that he's the side so wins and losses aren't as significant to him. He's going to be a draw. He's willing to wait and he's willing to get himself paid the most amount of money So you're zero pressure from that perspective from the things that are outside the sport from the metro or outside the cage rather from the meta perspective. He could lose this fight to liane edwards and his next is very next. fight could be headlining. Pay per view. Could be combing of pay per view. And he's gonna get paid appropriately so that pressure is often the rest of his career. Almost nathan this is proven box office and doesn't have to worry about that part. All he has to do is get into the into the cage. Perform against edwards unfortunately in my estimation. I think that's gonna be. That's gonna prove to be a tough task but you're correct that creates additional pressure on the other. That did he is on the cost of the title shot that he is so desperately wanted.
