"It's not six sixteen at KFBK grant Napier has resigned from his position as the play by play commentator for the second kings and has been released from his radio sports show after backlash from a tweet he posted the offramp to J. street from I. five north and southbound are closed because of protests in the downtown Sacramento area there is still a curfew in place for tonight eight PM to five AM for the city of Sacramento also Solano county has a curfew for the same hours eight PM to five AM well Derek shaman is the only officer at this point currently charged in the George Floyd case facing charges of third degree murder and manslaughter so what about the other officers we asked a former federal prosecutor bill Porter Nova who served for many years as an assistant United States Attorney about what charges the other officers might face very hard calls have to be made for example officer show band neon the knack for eight and a half minutes fairly typical call to prosecute what about the next officer down the line who's holding Mister Floyd down on his back how hard was holding him down on his back do you have a hand on his back or was he kneeling into his back affecting his breathing these are facts that are not revealed by the tape so it's possible that he's complicit in the crime for dealing on his back and forcing his inspects the Asian and the same with the third guy down the line the third officer who was holding Floyd legs we need the actual evidence of what occurred all we have is the videotape that shows show but but what charges could the other officers possibly face ultimately anyone who helps someone commit a crime especially murder knowing that they are helping to commit the crime is guilty of that offence as if they did it alone so we just don't have the facts yet on the other officers but I can say they are certainly within the target range and every one of them should expect to be charged given the callousness of this death and what about the officer that we've seen on the video who is keeping the crowd at bay you can be prosecuted for manslaughter or murder simply for that callous disregard for that person's life and it is if it can be well argued that every one of those officers had callous disregard for Mr Floyd's life they ignored his warnings they ignored his going limp they ignored the witnesses saying that he was obviously in distress all of these things lead to at a minimum callous disregard for his life and for never says of the Minneapolis police department something's wrong something's wrong in that department A. and it needs to be cleaned out at these guys truly do need to be prosecuted and hopefully again and we all learn a lesson and our professional law enforcement community here in California pays close attention to these things but I will say that the training and behavior of these officers in Minnesota that were bush league amateurish and unprofessional and bear no resemblance to what I've seen in California and in the end porting over says it's a shock it's awful and it may change the way we police of this country for all time again that is former federal prosecutor bill porting over speaking on the George Floyd case time now for some traffic.

Adult Children of Emotional Abuse

"Today we're going back to the very root of our personalities as an adult. Are there times when you feel like you cannot trust people? You have a difficult time controlling your life or a difficult time showing any kind of feeling you can't confront people you resent criticism and feel like you just don't fit in. Please listen to this show because it may not be very happy one but it will hopefully change the way you feel about yourself and later in the show you will meet a man who will teach us has some specific examples of how to begin to rebuild your self esteem. Because we're not crazy enough to think of something you can do in an hour talk show before you meet our guests though. I'd like you to listen to our audience and take themselves back to their childhood for a moment and tell you the wards day remember ripping them apart inside. Do you WANNA go. First Y- I was adapted when I was just a baby and I remember back when I was real small. My parents telling me what had really happened. My real mother was saying well. I really wanted to keep you but your adoptive mother made me give you up in. My mother was saying well. She didn't want you in the she was. GonNa put you in a home so we took you well. How does that really make you feel? How did it it made me feel awful? I mean one way. They're saying I wanted you know she didn't want you know she didn't watch. You and I was totally confused. I think now. I'm venting my anger. And my frustrations in my knowingness towards my fifteen year old and I. I love him to death but I'm always telling him he's stupid and he's not stupid he might have had some problems with divorce and things like that but he's not stupid and I'm forever Tony. You can't do anything you don't do anything right or too stupid you know and you. Did you hear the same thing when you were growing up? People tell you that no no. They didn't but I think it's my not knowing where I really belonged. But it's not right to take it out on my my oldest your self esteem. Which is what. We're talking big time for a long time. I didn't feel that I was really worth anything. I didn't feel like I was really wanted anywhere. And how that affects. Your life is what we're talking about. Thank you yes yes I was put in a foster home and the foster parents would always tell me that my mother gave me to them because I was so ugly. You know they will say you ugly as homemade sand and they'd say all those kinds of things till has I've grown up now when I do meet somebody a guy or something and he says Oh you Kinda cute and I take it as. Maybe he's joking. He's trying to really be funny or something like that. So it's really hard. It's really hard to get off. You wanted to say what yes. I didn't have really anybody telling me that I was a terrible person but my father used to always criticized my weight when I was very young. I always swear that I was born in one hundred and fifty pounds and what he would do is he would make comments. Like if I was coming down the stairs he would sing to taxi and one time. I was so proud that I lost like ten pounds. But he kept saying but Laura. You're still so big so I sabotage that Diet in three times my life I lost over one hundred pounds and I think that one little criticism and I would shoot backup the weight and then some so finally about three years ago I did have my stomach stapled in thank God. The weight stayed off. But I think that when I was growing up to is he would criticize me. I would turn around and criticize my sister and call her names and stuff like that so I know that now as an adult with my own family. I do not want to repeat that next. You'RE GONNA meet my guest three adults who say that. The abuse that they received as children is just as dangerous and just as damaging as physical or sexual abuse. My first guest wrote this letter to me. She says I was raised by a stepfather. Who never once touched me. Who turned his head when my mother insisted that I kissed him goodnight. I recall him yelling his hatred. At me labeling me the goon of the family to this day I rarely express an opinion and even then expect to be shot down. Please welcome the woman who wrote this letter. Linda Janice Napier. We're glad to have you join US Linda. My next guest says that his mother told him she didn't want him. He says that his parents never had any time for him. They called him the bad boy and to this day people still make comments like you really not as bad as you said you were. He never remembers any love just abuse now as an adult. He's having great difficulty parenting his own children without using abusive words. He says that he truly does hate his mother for the abuse. Paul mccracken my next guest says. She was called every name in the book by her mother when she was a child and teenager and criticized hundreds of times everyday. She says she will never succeed in life because she just can't believe in herself Shannon rose. We're glad to have all of you join us here on the show. But we're trying to tackle is what I think is the root of all problems in the world. I believe that lack of self esteem is what causes war because people really love themselves. Don't go out and try to fight other people either in their backyard and their community and in the world. Don't you agree? It's the root of all problems for. Yes yes so you know when I was when I was growing up I can remember many times of just being humiliated not only in front of family members. You know. During holidays my mother would send us away from the table for acting like kids. I remember seven years old. She you know dressed me up in a towel as a diaper made me take the garbage out in front of all the neighbors just to show how bad of a boy was and try to make me feel is humiliated as possible and you did. I had no choice. You know as a child you know what I know. You had no choice to where the diaper the towel diaper did feel. I mean I can't imagine what that does to assemble. It totally destroyed my image of myself now. The only type of attention I got as a child was very abusive in almost neglectful. You know attention. My parents were always busy running around to all these social activities. My mother was very verbal about the fact that children should be seen and not heard now. I was adopted too and I was told that the age of eight that I really wasn't wanted my mother was a slut and a whore and she gave me up because she didn't have any way of taking care of me and my mother kept holding it up in front of my face saying hey you were chosen. We chose you and it's like well if you chose me. What what's the point? Why you didn't want me to begin with

Is the handshake dead?

"It a symbol for the handshake is dad the handshake is not dead at least I hope not it's on hold temporarily until the world as well again welcome to the attic attrition Napier Fitzpatrick is founder of the etiquette school of New York I often say I teach knives and forks and hand shakes because that's how important handshakes are ingredients merry Jackson struggling engineering a good grip you have Danaher yes there is a proper technique when simply extends ones right arm toward the other person gripping web too well and you shake from the elbow one two two Smith pops holding firmly but not a bone crusher and not a limp noodle I once read about little remembered president Benjamin Harrison of the late nineteenth century a critic of his said he had a hand shake like a wilted petunia oh my you see the people remember your hand shakes the instrumental part of your first impression this is a very primal sort of a connection very emotional David givens is an anthropologist with Gonzaga university in Spokane Washington he says the handshake reaches back sixty million years to pansies and roses do much the same thing they they long for tactile contact they basically reach out with the forelimbs and especially with the poem so it's not an accident that we greet each other by shaking hands no because hands of all the neurological circuitry in emotional the parts that we need to make good contact with our fellow humans and throughout human history I haven't grasped that sealed the bargain the handshake it's been an expression of peace and forgiveness alas it is also as we've learned an excellent delivery vehicle for germs the casual handshake is pretty much of present a dead the formal handshake were closing a business deal this I think will remain but the the precautions beforehand you may even use a thin glove well to make the handshake Miriam radi the last Thursday of June is what national handshake day used to be anyway Miriam radi of Brody professional development in Jenkintown Pennsylvania he's such a fan of hand shaking she created national handshake day in two thousand four my personal pet peeve is the macho cowboy A. K. I don't want to hurt the little lady or or you know and you know I just want to kind of give you a little group here I demand respect and I would like a firm grip she knows that this June's celebration will have to be virtual I feel like if the handshake is gone that would be very sad for me personally but even if we can't touch David givens says we'll still use our hands what he calls our emotional smart parts to communicate good will and a good example is the plains Indian greeting where you raise your own home out in China the other person from a distance the eyes are going to be especially important now because that's how we're going to communicate warmth and trust perhaps we'll look to Asia for

Josh Speidel, Vermont player who suffered brain injury in car accident as recruit, scores on Senior Night

"Five years ago Josh bell was one of the highest recruits ever to land at the university of Vermont he was a highly recruited basketball player and then he suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car accident when he was a senior in high school shortly after all right the three star recruit committed to playing in Vermont well the prognosis was not great in any way shape or form in fact his parents told him by his parents were told by the medical staff that he should be prepared to they should prefer him to live in a permanent vegetative state right and he has made a remarkable recovery credible and through those to Vermont because they they maintained a scholarship and honored his scholarship and last night senior night he made his first D. one start and registered the first points of his collegiate career in a match up against all the I mean incredible obviously it was it was you know they talk with Albany about at Albany you know the tip off they scored and then the Vermont comes out with the ball and they get it to to Josh by dell and any makes a laugh and you know then give talks from everybody his teammates his team the opposing team everybody for just an incredible story of just that tragic moment and I just think of it as as a parent seeing your kid and being told he may be in a vegetative state for the rest of his life and just when you when you see the highlight and see him out there you know doing what he's doing it's just it's just unbelievable it is and that was what's trending brought to you by PSG nobody makes golf clubs the way we do period so Josh white all got on the court made the first basket and then it was was asked about it after the game and actually had a tremendous line about what's what thought process went through his mind I was thinking about maybe like Mr Napier Avenue again no offense a rebound in there well you know I'd be on my go go one for one hundred percent my college career so you know it's you know it's a dream come true

NBA trade deadline 2020 surprises

"Other very minor trade deadline day deals from today. You guys all run through. Stop me if you've You've got something to say about them. The magic acquired James Ennis from the sixers for a second round. Pick the nuggets acquired choir Jordan mccray from the Grizzlies for Shabazz Napier. The rockets acquired Bruno Komo glow from the Grizzlies Jordan Bell. The hawks acquired Derek Wilton junior from the clippers for cash. Does he already waived. Oh they got their initial report. was that the hawks. Were sending back cash to the clippers clippers but then it was corrected cash was come in with Derrick Walton Junior. They not only do the hawks get a player who I believe. They're waving but they got some. Okay how's it was just a cash trade exchanging exchanging dollars and then the hawks also acquired scalp and two million dollars cash. I think from the Blazers for a future heavily protected second round pick I think its top fifty five protected. We descended a few times so we say one thing on scowl shirt in some limited portland. I thought he was actually decent. I thought he's athletic. He's good at both ends ends of the floor. It means he's not going to change a franchise around but I think he's he's a play. It was still some potential there. How many centers the Hawks and they've got dwayne deadman Now and obviously starting five of senators right now cadman Bruno Fernando scale and Damian Jones. I can't wait for the rockets and the Hawks looks to match up against the Senate's it's the skills challenge versus

"Was I'm the conduit, George you said it during the break, we're told this this max of LeBron I can redeem him and then few weeks later like you got to get this guy out of here. He's he's done that before that move of. Yeah. Give to me, and I'll make it work. And then Shabazz Napier was his favorite player. Best point guard in the draft best point ship. Shabazz shabazz. Napier has seven games a year. We go damn, but. Yeah, Shabazz Napier. Right. Basically. That's that is the deal. I so what do we got next? Let's get back to the Super Bowl. What are the Rams missing? That's kind of the conversation. Now as we kind of move past it, right? Like, what are the pieces that they're missing? So people are throwing out there. To redo the offense line, you may need to look and get a running back because you can't trust girlies health this that and the other that's one of the conversations they're having. So when you look at this Rams team and look at changes a lot year to year in the NFL. What are what is it glaring weakness in your opinion? So they need to upgrade to the biggest positional things. They gotta fix Blyth and Sullivan is done ofensive line. John Sullivan is that a great career? He is cooked and has been awful since the middle of the year. And just when you have that much penetration in the middle of your your offense of line of work. Blyth wasn't very good. And if if Whitworth retires, which is at least possible, right? You can't run that offense without a good offensive line. Whitworth was transformative in going from the Jeff Fisher to the first year of Sean McVeigh. That's where I would start and then Kupa Kupa cutback. Still one thing is healthy. Like what that like in a in a in a hypothetical universe? I'd love to see a rematch of that Super Bowl. With healthy Rams team out there what healthy Cooper Cup with healthy Todd Gurley. Do we get the same even without the benefit of having been there before if we somehow could rewind and just healthy players in there. We get the same performance from Jared Goff to get the same perform, he's more comfortable. Yeah. He's more comfortable that takes those guys take the onus off of him and the pressure off of a lot of ways. So I do believe that that certainly would have alleviated some of the issues. Sure. Yeah. Next. We've talked a lot about the Lakers, and we just do that Casey P thing. So one of the things that's out there right now is the Lakers have this make this deal. Right. And it's who's Ma Lonzo Ingram Rondo land Stevens, Michael Beasley, and all these picks who the hell's gonna play for them. I one name that's popped up car. Carmelo Anthony at that point you guys. Poor man's millage avoid partner where you have the actual thing. Baby. You go on with it. So do you think are if this trait happens by Thursday mean camello Anthony Laker that 'cause you need bodies at that bright you need bodies? And then by the way, interesting conversation you start to have with does Wesley Matthews. Get bought out in New York. I think he gets bought out Ramona doesn't think the Andre it's bought out because who's the de'andre boy was his boy. Kevin Durant thinking hang around for another year, bird rights, and all that. Okay. Well, the non bird rights, but he's getting making enough money where you work work. It's about what he's going to be making. I can see the pieces come together to if they're boys in Katie says figured out. Some guy gets his stick around for a couple years. They'll they'll do that for they can do that. It's interesting though, because his cap hold will kind of eat into some of that face that seventy million or whatever they go. Yeah. You know, I I don't know. I don't I don't know that the under Jordan is a keeper for the Knicks, particularly I think if you're him and you see Houston having that big hole at center, and that's a team that basically the finals for your services between them in Dallas. Why wouldn't he, you know, take a little haircut here to go? Get the extra money back over there, by the way. No, this isn't sexy radio talk state income tax in New York state income tax in Texas. Chopper Hollis Jefferson now between the circles today. Napier over on the left working around the Jalan head back for the Harris. Threw it is short. No, good rebound about a Spurs. The Rosencrantz Spurs of turn it up defensively. The right to Rosen got strip to the foul. Ronda, how does Jefferson is his first free throws coming up for tomorrow to Rosen? His first free throw attempts to the game. The guy who is always made his living at the free throw line makes the first. Rosen averaged twenty three game last year, which is a Lebanon leaguers a second team all MBA player then traded going into the final year of his contract with Kawhi Leonard. Wanting out the Spurs found a trade partner in San Antonio. Toronto. Rosa makes the second free. Throw. I go up by two with five minutes to go in the third again. We've added by Bertone's Reseda Antonio gonna have to make your threes. That's haven't been converting the high enough level. Forbes has it out high on the right? Here's electron Aldridge screen back right to the elbow with a pull up. It's no good and Hollis Jefferson contested rebound loser. To the court Weeden through defenders flies Allen and a quarter for three and it's good for Jared. Allen for right for the bay today. I to their feet excited about Jared Allen connecting on a three that's Allen v made three in the lane. Aldridge on the other end, Mr. right hook got fouled by Jared. Allen. Now five thirty two on the season. He has made play. He's been the guy that's gotten everybody off defense tonight. He's either mates, and it hasn't been these unbelievable frozen slams. It's been some patient moves on catches some quality plays in the three right there. Halland is six of seven from the floor fourteen points as the free throws did by Aldrich. It is the eleventh made three quarter of his career is five fifteen last year. Now five for thirty two this season. He's going to get arrested his Davis in the beginning. Really enjoying Jared L? Does he goes to the benches team as high five hundred celebrating that three point? Aldridge at the line makes the second birds go up seventy four seventy three with four fourteen to go third quarter. Napier across the chord line here at San Antonio the dark gray going right to left. They give it a Davis behind the arc straight on picks up the dribble. Baker got hit in the face by Belen Elliott. A foul is called Bella Bella. They are really overplaying everything around the floor right now. Napier took a shot. Bellen fourth foul and ten minutes. You can tell pop got after him about not defending against the Phoenix Suns air defenses with our effort levels, very high. Shabazz Napier is going to go to the line. The nets attempted this free throws in the game. The only made five of them. Throw away by Shabazz is good. Purnell is gonna come into the game with our that cut. And we haven't seen him come back. Great job by Carol that time boy did one of those last game. Also put up four point play. Excellent job by nape. You're combing where appropriate along the base line and hook and pass out with his left hand. Again, I think Carol might have done one of those Toy Story falls through choice. Good. It's good for Patty mills. I take elite eighty to eighty one with two and a half to go third quarter with the three point shot. They're knocking them down this quarter. Now, Hollis Jefferson underlining rendezvous cuts right clumps in the lane with a shot that fall bounds out to the right goes out of play. It'll remain netball. Russell coming back in replacing Harrison, college Jefferson Janka Pearl going at it right now. They have to be separated as their jawing at each other. Eric Lewis the efficient steps. All right now, the Spurs six for ten from three point land in this quarter. Ten of twenty four in the game. Russell runs into four to out. Now, he went into the shooting mostly despite being about thirty two feet away from the basket, they're not gonna give shooting shots. But because they're over the limit is gonna get free throw. He'll get two free throws rather than three. Replayed. Like Russell makes the free throw. Stirs had made fifteen or more threes consecutive games for the first time the franchise history, they've made more four straight. That's the second longest franchise issue. They've made ten tonight is Russell MRs that free throw. Gametime at eighty two to eleven to go with the third Rosen. Stand underneath back it out forge corner. Long to no good rebound about Hollis Jefferson. Mark of the third quarter game tied at eighty two. Russell less shy three. It's good for tomorrow. Carol. Carol hitting a three his third of the game that great minutes by coming in here in the third top jumper by mills in and out. No, good, Hollis Jefferson for the rebound. The mid forty to go with a third. That's the ball ups. Three. Russell. Out of the right wing trying to find a shot for Carol Carol got it working right to the rim. Runs into a wall of stirs. Missed the shot got his own miss at a foul against the scourge. The foul against Fords. Third foul on Brin Forbes could put tomorrow Carol at the free throw line. That's just nine to fifteen from mind. We throw by the marae. No. Yeah. You're talking about Chris becoming a storyline right now. Their inability to convert from the line. And yet great minutes of again, how many times you said that this year? Demari Carol coming in providing us boost. Pima County Sheriff Mark Napier gives first hand opinion of the Mexican Border

"Sense of culture. It's a very diverse community now in your experience working as the sheriff in Pima county. Obviously different from when you're in Tucson being right there where we're having these conversations but earlier even when you weren't along the border. What was your experience when it came to illegal immigration how that was affecting crime and national security? Well, I the issue of illegal immigration from crime because they're not the same thing. Many people who immigrate to this country without proper documentation have no intention of committing a crime basket or in this country without proper documentation, many of them are very struggling in their home-country coming here for a better life declined picture, which is faced is a Tucson police officer and then commander on the south side of Tucson is was a drug trafficking. We have load houses throughout my area and a drug rip crews would come from the border and actually engaging gun fights with other drug dealers in our community to steal either drugs or money or both. And of course, crime associated with human trafficking, the coyotes and bandits would prey upon the undocumented is our bottom across the border, and there was crime associated with that so often, and too often in my opinion, we. We we don't separate the issue of illegal immigration from transnational crime. They're not exactly the same. They kind of blend together a little bit. But so many people Patty in this world is specially in Central America, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, are making very very desperate decisions. And you and I probably everybody listening with food in our stomachs roof over our head and safety. Can't imagine the desperation some of these people feel and and they they walk hundreds of miles to try to come to this country for a better life, many of them are victimized criminally victimized by the environment, which is very harsh and southern Arizona during the summer and many of them lose their lives. And that's something. I've heard you talk about whether it's their the migration and trying to walk from wherever you make that that that journey to the borders or after the cross the border into your jurisdiction. I know that you've talked about how many bodies you recover throughout the year. How about how many did you have last year? Well, over one hundred bodies were covered in in the desert Pima county, those are the ones we find and the tragedy is that. We absolutely have no idea how many are out there. And imagine that you are in Honduras, or all Salvador and five years ago, you kissed your family goodbye and said I'm going to walk to American the hope of a better life and last week. My deputies found your bones. And we'll never know who you were your family will never know what befell you, and that's that's a human rights issue. So proud of the president last week when he led with the humanitarian issue that was the first thing he said in his address last Tuesday night, he talked about this humanitarian crisis in Israel. I see it. Mike, Mike county all the time. And we're keenly aware in this part of the world the impacts of that humanitarian issue. Do you struggle with the the vocabulary of the language that's used in these arguments? A you mentioned that the president framed it in with the words of humanitarian effort, you know, and I have to be part of that is informed by perhaps the two children who lost their lives and other people who are struggling and suffering. Do you would you prefer that the president and other politicians perhaps found a better way to have this public discourse? Yes, I'm really disappointed in and honestly from my viewpoint. I am a Republican sheriff. But there's most certainly enough blame to go around. I think what you're sheriffs in thirty one border sheriffs Senate, the international border with Mexico, and we'll we'll collectively responsible two thousand miles of international border is that we have people that come to excuse the phrase are part of the world, and they'll stand by Puerto of entry, and they'll get their picture taken with some people in uniform and fly back to Washington DC experts on the border. Well, that's ludicrous. We live this every day of this has been my home for thirty one years. We have a pretty good handle on this and the rhetoric. The political rhetoric is so charged in Washington DC on both sides of this issue that we're not moving the ball forward. And unfortunately, this has become a battle of who wins a political fight. And don't we send people to Washington DC, not to win for Republicans or Democrats, but to win for the American people, isn't that why we sent him to Washington DC? So I'm I'm. Troubled, by the fact, that we can't seem to move the ball forward. We're talking to sheriff Mark Napier. He is a sheriff of Pima county Arizona with over one hundred and twenty miles and his jurisdiction is on the border with Mexico. He is our experts as mentioned folks, go down, and they take a picture that we have these arguments we act as though we are experts, but he is living this day to day with the men and women that he works with in law enforcement. They're really putting themselves out there and trying to keep everybody safe. We're gonna continue our conversation in just a moment with the sheriff. We'll take a break here, sir. If you don't mind, thank you, Donald right back more in a moment on seven twenty WGN. And this is your conversation. Three one two nine at one seventy two hundred. If you have any thoughts you'd like to share with us, perhaps you have a question for the sheriff. "We haven't seen Moussa much, but Kubrick's is looking better. And he was the second round pick new category for this year since we're doing this this show now in two parts every month, not executive of the here, and my number one nominee here is Gerald Maury with one arm time behind his back by Tilghman for today's cheapness. So that that combination? I mean, a gun with the rockets being such disappointment pretty much all the moves that they've made so far have not really worked very well. They did do well to get clink cappella on that contract for cheaper than we thought he was going to go. He'll Chris Paul. They at least didn't give him the five year deal. They had to give him the max for four years any as a player option, but the mellow deal whoever whether that was Chris Paul and hardened pushing that whether void thought he would work out or not that was obviously a disaster that cost themselves a bunch of gains by playing him early. He's now not even on the team anymore. But of course, still has to be taking up Rosser slot because no far be it for Tillman for today. Just pay the guy and try to win games. With the roster spots at the desperately need. Instead of just waiting now until he can be traded at the summer fifteen or until he gets waved and maybe picked up by someone or whatever Michael Carter Williams, those deciding we thought was absolutely terrible to begin with. They were clearly counting on them. They needed to do something more at backup point guard. And yeah, they wanted someone who could be in their switching system, but you know, Shabazz Napier Shabazz Napier Shabazz, a, Hugh it shouldn't folks me as much as Shabazz Muhammad is now out of the league. But you know, he went to Brooklyn for the minimum. Basically, I'm guessing that if they wanted to give him a guarantee contract just someone to like give them an NBA player at that position. You know, so to be relying on him, then they've had a love youth missed one other important move while maybe I was going to get the right? Yeah. Yeah. The the Ryan Anderson. Yeah. I mean, that's another. Okay. Another solid and be player that. Yeah. You know, they save some money for next year. Basically, they they brought in Markey's Chris he clearly was out of shape and injured and he. He just has not been contributing. They just have so many completely dead roster spots on the team or not. And maybe you'll be able to salvage it may be will be able to salvage it. You know, they obviously made the decision not bring back a result an involved Mugabe as well. So they have really struggled at an. Yeah. Harden and Paul not playing his wall has been part of that. But the bigger part of it. I think has just been that slots like eight through fifteen in the roster of basically provided zero production whatsoever. Did you do well with James Ennis? I mean, I think he's had a solid your overall getting getting him for the minimum with a player option for the second year. Yeah, I'm happy with that. But the rockets so they made the they did it the big long-term moves. I think they got those pretty close rhyming Capella at about seventeen seventeen and a half million a year. Even if he's not as good as he was last year that's still a reasonable contract to be sure not having to give Chris polythene. We're really helps. But Houston's window was the president. Always. We everybody knew that. I mean because Chris Paul he we didn't know how long he was going to be healthy. And all that. And yes, Mauri had a hand tied. His dak. It is an important part of the story to tell. But in terms of maximizing present value, even given those constraints. This didn't work out. Really? Well, I mean losing Ryan Anderson and not getting back anybody who could even be a regular season player burning all these roster spots in they might be able to deal with some of it through buyout guys. I think Houston isn't incredibly desirable by out destination. But I wanted to take some time to talk about some of the other general managers these executives they could be considered. So I'm not putting these in any order..

"Kimun m their take away the three they take away the rim and the math is in their favour to some degree even if they don't have amazing telling me it's kind of kind of what they are it seems like almost their elected defense of version of those rockets teams before they got eric gordon ryan anderson where they still are taking the right shots they may not have the greatest talent but just because the scheme it is right it and they're making the opponent take the right shots that they're doing pretty well defensively just because of math may be more so than talent on one of the thing you had on them woodstock a little bit about shabazz napier and evan turner two guys that have taken on larger roles i mean much bigger napier's case this year he maybe you're has looked better than i anticipated beat obviously the last couple of weeks laszlo while he's been doing a lot more sixty one percent true shooting on twenty percent usage and that's peter the twenty percent usage its tail at slow for low for point guard when you consider twenty percent is even for all the positions but when you're playing next the cj what she has done if airfare portion of the time at least in that case you know he can be efficient at it and you're not asking him to cory to choreograph everything to do everything out there and i think he's you know i will had been very critical of him early in his career but i wanna give him credit for being a part of of them surviving the stretch yyou and he's provided something that they just don't have altering the twice thoughts even got to the point where he was playing cj napier in lillard altogether just because he provide some modicum of offense could to new orleans now eighteen an 18 four and five two real ugly losses of one at home to dallas of adults than beat okay see it on the road as well as adults is playing a lot better recently who hosted they lose to recently those just like a rubel loss all the knicks at home yoga that was it had a good lawsuit either an that's disappointing because you know they win those two games in their four games over 500 it and really in pole position among the that group of but you know dorrell.

"The bar burien who were at the gate we'll their values are just as good as outright and who are we to judge and so if you have people who think beheading infidel is a good thing and making women cover everything but their eyes when they go out by and i think that beating disobedient women under the perfectly found value woven who are you to judge and bathe that such a thing should not be allowed the cultural relativism that has comp become so why bread is a kind of a noxious gas to any light that would still be uh ready willing to stand up to defend western values well it's interesting it reminds me of sir charles james napier he was of the someone in the 19th century who was in a part of india he was a british man who had been you know deputised to to be there in the in the indian colony and i think somebody said to him that you know it is our tradition here in india to burn a woman when her husband has died we put the the live woman on the funeral pyre and she is of put to death by burning and this is our tradition and napier i i only know him because i i was encephalophathy recently since you are greek you may know cephalonia cathalan yellow in the ionian islands he was there before he went to india and so i've gotten to know him a little bit but his famous line to the person who said that in india was that well that's that's fine but we also have a custom in in in england and that is to.
