"Here. What are we got next question. This one increased variations games. Both offense and defense team's gonna put more value on versatility. I think that's something that we've always discussed on the podcast book. Yeah absolutely you're trying to find guys that can do multiple things on both sides of the ball receivers that you could line up in the backfield talking about safety so you could put down. The boxer can cover in the slot. Versatility is huge positions football. We've talked about the league. Trending that way not only on offense with these wide receivers that can play like wingback running backs but defense safeties light linebackers corners. Coming back to play safety absolutely worth being shift. Versatility has really coveted. Yeah look in the nfc west if you want to see it on the offensive side of the ball. Look what the niners are doing. You want to see it on the defensive side of the ball look with the arizona. Cardinals are doing trying to be as multiple on versatile as possible. "That is a mean. Wanna get in a ring with him. No i'm actually going to try to get his top shot today. That's actually what i'm trying. I'm trying to get his top shot today. Also i think he was a he was into he was he was like a chef urg like he was into he was. I think he was in the middle of doing a cookbook Unfortunately when he passed away but little inside there on the legendary ox baker up well shadow. Docs bakes last question here. Edsa join us every time i talked to you. I feel inspired and entertained and informed. Same time which is great conversation coming up as an american hockey player. Yeah all right. And maybe you'll be able to debunk of my theory. That i have with the way. The world is with the technology that you referred to in that whole thing and the ability for kids to make money right now on the internet whether they're content creators or e gamers or anything like that. I think you're going to see a shift in like towards sports and maybe like Agendas as kids. And i think hockey is potentially going to be a sport because you have to be up at six. Am on the ice. You have to be skating. You have to basically get your body sharpened every single morning. I think that's a sport that's potentially easier for people to say okay. I'm not going go do that. I'm gonna go do something else now. It's not easy to become a professional content creator e game or anything like that. I'm not saying it's easy but physically demanding on the body the commitment that you have to have for hockey in particular is insane. The it's an absolutely insane kment. Do you think there's a chance we get to the point. Where american hockey players just aren't really something anymore. Unless it's a legacy or a generational type thing. No i think the how far usa hockey is compact nature I mean it may be from my era. I mean look Bummbly older than both you. Young fellas and look i. I started in nineteen eighty-four and i mean. The percentage of national hockey league players was negligence. Like just over four percent in the national hockey league now. We're almost at thirty to thirty three percent where it's you know. The percentage of american weren't players in the national hockey. I think the one thing at aj that is is been Something that inspires me to to try to help Young people boys and girls every demographic every part of the country as his. How do we make it more affordable for families and for young people that wanna play a great game in hockey because you look at times are the world. We're living in now. I mean the world is upside down for all of us and when people want to get their kicks in atlantic they sit there and go. Okay well you have baseball. You have football and in. What's the cost of that. How much is the equipment while with most football programs as you guys know the the equipment comes with you know the sign up or whatever it is but for hockey hockey is very much like golf. I mean it is it is expensive and is talking about ice time yet and that's something that is is a is somebody that has been very lucky and blessed had been involved in hockey for a long time is how do we do we make it more affordable and more opportunities for people that maybe don't have the means to be able to do that and i have my own Small foundation here in chicago. It's called you know real real unique. Eddie olczyk a word where we give donations to young hockey players and organizations that maybe have fallen on difficult. times don't have the means to be able to Play the game of hockey and proud to say we'd given over one hundred thousand dollars to young hockey players in the state of illinois. Thank you and yet. I i think that's where it is at the heart of your question is is is people. Look at it and go. Do i wanna pay two hundred fifty dollars for soccer or do we want to spend twenty five hundred dollars for hockey and look the world. We're living in now. We know where people are going so we can. We gotta find a way to make sure that we can expose the game. Two people give them an opportunity regardless of how much it costs and then one myself like it once. I grabbed a stick and put on a pair of skates besides fallen all over the place like appear on ice the first time once it was in my blood i mean i. It was in my blood from day. One and i think anybody that watches it or does it. Themselves certainly has the opportunity to fall in love with great game hockey. And we appreciate you eddy. Oh we're going to donate to that by the way we'd like to keep that thing going. Maybe for more awards and scholarships we appreciate you ladies and gentlemen hockey legend. Thank you add. Shared you buddy. Let's talk before the i. Let's let's make sure we thought that we have to what you know. Those damn ponies. I don't know there's ponies. But i would like to bet on them. So let's definitely talk before the derby. I can stay safe guys. Thanks nice to meet you back here. The best later..

"This beat drop from gentlemen named thank you right on time. Ladies and gentlemen joining us now is a college football national champion and a super bowl generally aging you. what's going on so some of mark madden interviews. That was good. I enjoyed him. I'll tell you. A lot of people sending tweets about mark bat and every time he comes on the show a lot of people get upset with me for having him on the shelf. But if you watch that and you don't think to yourself it's an entertaining son of a bitch. I think doing life wrong all right. I think you're doing that. He looked good today. The hair was slicked back. I mean he was feeling himself. Aj i i appreciate him coming on any. Oh check be joining us here in about twenty one minutes. Obviously hockey legend player coach in believe he had to battle against stage. Four cancer just like a year. two ago he's on the other side of it. Can we talk about you. Know hockey with him Aj we talked about this in the first hours. Forty two minutes. The estimated reading time for this article. I don't know if you get a chance to talk about a little bit. It was about the nfl pa and drew brees Basically stole the show there at the end because there was some alarming numbers being put out for the amount of money the druids potentially getting paid from the nfl pa. He said it's on the players. Damore as mrs from players inc but anyways this whole thing the nfl pa it. I'm not asking about the article itself. 'cause it's forty two minutes i'm gonna assume you didn't read it but i don't know if you did or sought the nfl pa something. That i mean. I hate it whenever i was in the nfl. I fucking hated. I i appreciate the work that they had done. You see what had happened when when they did in the past you know and they show like this video a propaganda video before every meeting. Basically like you know back in the day there was rats run locker room and the nfl pa came in instead. You're going to have at least one mop in every locker room and propaganda everything that they've done and helped players in. I agree that they have in the nfl pa. I believe serves a purpose or whatever. But there's a lotta shit that they would do without like this. I mean this isn't what we're looking for when you were playing. How is your relationship with the nfl. Pa the green bay packers relationship. Because i feel like a lot of guys felt the way i felt. But everybody's like it's not worth the time to even fuck and change it and we. We talked to aaron last year. He was like he was all. He became an nfl pa rep. Which by the way. My i i was like i did not expect you to be a rep or whatever and he even said you know. I'm trying at this point. The nfl pa such an interesting thing. It is a very very interesting thing in this article. I do believe i'm gonna read it. Tonight's they say estimated forty two. I've never read a book of my life. So that's gonna be what two three hours for me to get through that fucking thing but i'm gonna give it a go. The nfl pa. Anytime more information comes out about it the more and more on like i think i was right with the way i felt about that old thing. I think how you feel. How a lot of guys in the nfl. theo. I think most most part most players don't ever really think about the pa. They don't really think about what their role could be in the union. That's exactly how. I was especially early in my career. I never thought of it. I'm like okay. They're gonna come in and talk to us. We've seen what they have done. Yes they did a lot of great things for players and they continue to try to do that as well but man. There's huge like communication issues. I think from the top down. And i know it's not easy gig to try to get everybody in the league on the same page and get them invested. Most guys don't really care. They just want their their ten thousand dollar madden check. That used to come again to those meetings once a year. But i just think the article that you're talking about yeah i saw it. It's the fact. I think they said drew brees got like a total of nine million dollars over whatever span of time. They're talking about and they come back and they say well no druze agent and damore. Smith said no. This is from players inc jersey merchandise sales. Like all right. I don't know man like it's it just seems like something's up especially since drew was one of his biggest supporters throughout the process and skim through and i had thai. Thai has sent me a bunch of tires. Read it and as we've gone a break. I've tried to scroll through and taibbi like hey this happened. This shot the always good to have a friend that was accepted to harvard. Who can break down shit like this whenever you need it or whatever. That's my first time by the way ever happened that for my college i guess he would also been that particular person but i was drunk every night so i wasn't really asking him those questions but ty is that guy it seems like now there has to be a reason. This article was written right. Like who's writing this. Why is this happening. Or whatever. But the nfl pa. And i think we paid more attention to it whenever the negotiating negotiations were happening before they happen in after they happen..

Look good like you said. The hair looks good. It's just growing fast. But even the very greatest pat lack self confidence once in a while but i think thanks to the therapeutic experience that appear on your show always is i think i will here. Moments a better man. You're back baby. He's the bus him. Refusing to believe ben is back to. Is you want me to operate under that assumption. I think judy gets from somebody he's saying that's going to be tough. I think to find who else t wise out there. Chris godwin he might be out there talking about might be out there robinson golladay so many marvin jones also from the lines is only twenty four. He's gonna get paid by somebody a lot of money. Fifty million a year fifteen per average right now for wide receivers fifteen million puts you between ten and fifteen in league as far as pay for receiver. Hey maybe hey juju if you can get it go get it. Go do what you gotta do. He loves by the way just. He's best like when he puts that top five out and he saw the reaction top five. I'm excited for mark. Madsen the next twenty top fives that are about to happen. I'm smarter than you. Here's my top five and then as soon as somebody disagrees. He's like all right here. "Okay. not one sixty six. I do not nowhere near that. I'm very that makes me feel pretty good about. I don't blame you. I blame myself permitting. Monday coin flip america america. You can bet. Thirty thousand dollars on a coin toss. I mean that is. Yeah but then you hit that ridiculous parlay that was inspiring that was tremendous see. That's what i'm talking about. I bet on that coin toss and everybody remembers that people forget the twenty five thousand dollar put together. I did think though. And i think you and i up intrigued to hear your thoughts on this. I think that marquee players the reason why they're marquee players big name players is because in big moments they make place so i thought gronkowski a mike. Okay this gu. I think Tony brown by the way big time. Big name player leonard fournette. I think this is going to happen in. That was my parlay. I believe in that especially in the super bowl. Do you kind of if feels like you. Mostly hate big name. Players is is that a judgment in that super bowl. I bet on gronk in ab to score touchdowns. I just didn't partly as wisely as you or bet. Big enough to cover betting on tyreek hill to be mvp. Hey into antonio brown touchdown the super bowl wires. I don't i believe you have to prove yourself more than more than social media. I mean i'm a. I'm a big rock burger. Fan big crosby fan. Big fan bit But you know there are certain guys who like judas not a big name player. He's a big named celebrities. Not a big name player. Who ever beat. You know it just it. Just some guys are overestimated but by the mark sat there. And i just call them out on it. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I don't think that makes me a hater. In the i mean people would say you're a hater by the way i that's that's a whole nother conversation. I don't think so. I think trainer all the people out there too sensitive they just want throw rose petals at the feet of their heroes all the time. And i don't buy i am not a hater. I'm the voice of truth on this show on my show. I am like the aerial elwani of everything that he doesn't talk about. You ever may meet area. who wanna. He's an incredible. I want to. I think he he and i in addition to you and your your great cast their. I think we are the lifeblood of this program. Ariel believes that to text marielle. He believes that as well which we are both. What's the word you use electric elect. It's amazing i when aerial is on your show. My fingertips sizzle tastes great. Promos blue mask on at one point. They really don't even like him just like area. Well okay so by the way i see. You've kind of tighten the hair a be. Look good today. I just want to let you know bearable. I look terrible. I didn't have time to trim my beard. You know it's weird when you get old pat. You're not you're not that far off. I'm sixteen now your hair and your nails grow at an astounding rate. I used to need a haircut like every six weeks now. I go in every three weeks and it's just keeping it the same length that's just. It grows so fast. You know what grows when you're montana. Half in between countries go six weeks between haircuts. More used to yeah. I didn't i didn't need to get a didn't grow. Nearly as fast congrats on the being able to keep the hair nails. I wanna talk about star power that you talked about crosby there. Thank you crosby was watching last night. Right and trying to explain to my wife. Food from indiana so no hockey team out here. But she's become pence fan like she likes loves. The sport hockey like has enjoyed it. Always try to watch. Every time depends on national tv now last night it was a little bit difficult because young rock was also on so it a little bit difficult. You know at the same time. They're real hard decision. So so i was trying to explain crosby though and i was. I was trying to have a conversation with i. Think the nhl letdown. Sidney crosby i think the nhl wasted sidney crosby and even a veteran he didn't get to veg skin ovechkin public. That isn't hockey fans. Because of what he did with the stanley cup as opposed to what he does on the i. Sidney crosby is was lebron james coming out of high school basically. This guy is now thirteen years in this or however many years into this and there's a large majority of the folks have no idea he exists. And i'm like who spot. I think it's the nhl fault. I feel like they potentially mismanaged sidney. Crosby their superstars careers that not enough people have enough respect and knowledge of the nhl fault. It's also just a setback. That hockey isn't nearly as popular as the other sports. I like an the biggest talkie fan efforts by far my favorite game. I always say it's number six among the four major sports it just hasn't clicked beyond its niche audience. It's not care but does at this point. Part of the problem is hockey is one by canadians. Gary bettman's their new york. American lawyer frontman okay. Bit bit hockey's run by canadians and canadian. Always want hockey to be a sport. Where grit means as much skill. So when you turn on the h. L. network even nbc. Sports happened is talking about it or don't play the game but we're just try hard guys who keep one emphasize the grit like might berry. Mike milbury would pick on crosby when he would get roughed up and he. Would you know get get frustrated or the team didn't stick up for it. Talk about how tough this matters crosby has earned the deal better with that as opposed to just saying flat out. This guy's the best player in the game and he should be protected but again and is american. Ironically with the canadian mentality but hockey just wants to be just as much about grit and skill and as a result the skill guys have never quite gotten the proper credit the exception being gretzky protected incredibly if they protected lemieux and crosby ovechkin well. They need to protect because he's so big and tough but you can't be idea they just didn't do enough for your their stars. You are right on the money with that. Well what about. And i was thinking about this because there was time said floated by the camera. It was like straight down the line there. He had no bend to his stick right back in the day. When did they make the role that you couldn't have the fucking hook blade on that thing to be. I used to have a lacrosse stick down. There used to be able to win that thing. When did they make their role is basically just a flat stick is it always been like that anna joel. And that's one of the things that makes him legendary. Nobody has ever played better on the back in. Nobody's ever used the other side of the stick. Better than sidney crosby. They had the banana blatant early sixties. Because bobby hull and stan makita with the blackhawks chicago. They kind of crap their blade and it just kind of naturally it didn't break but at bent and they were screwing around at practice and they noticed how the puck jumped off that curve when they shot so they started like using torches and stick in the blades under doors and bending them and then manufacturer started making them and then they limited the curb. I think at one point to a half inch. Maybe now a quarter inch. I'm not sure. But that's pretty much in a nutshell the tail of the curvature of hockey sticks on that's why he was able to do the michigan on the back end with that thing or whatever. What are you gonna hate the michigan. Well if he scores they're fucking awesome. And maybe that actually makes a highlight it showbiz. No crosby to show biz showbiz. Make a hockey. This the puck in the back of the fuck net from behind the fuck net. That's a hockey play. He didn't.

"Do. That's how it works. I listen this is. This is how insulting thing works nauseated. By the way okay. Let's not do that. Let's not ask questions. Nausea watching play. Football was dude with no fans in there. Did that affect you dope walker made better almost I honestly honestly for like no fans there you know for me. It don't matter either way cause you know when i'm playing like everything is anyways so i don't really hear nothing but like whenever i wanna silence i mean you hear the fans 'cause they're gonna talk shit like always on blake damage. You saw out there. Okay i'm going south so like i'm kelly do the i really can't like when i want to sign lines like i hear them talking but like i can't hear them talking because they got such a country as accent taunting. I'm hearing you run harder. The fans affected. I mean like a little bit but you know. When i'm on the sideline you hear everything. Especially people in in the stands. So i played put it west virginia. We're in the big east at the time. And you know played some big games obviously. Bcs and everything and there's always the bias that sec football. It's different down here. It's different down here. How they the whole thing is. I want to the sec. Championship game last. That was last year two years ago last year. It was insane. I've never seen anything like it. Colts it's like a cult. Basically down there every single day. There was grown. Georgia was planning. There was grown very successful people barking at the top fifty five year old billionaires. The bar the sec. Football is something that i thought i understood. I did not. Did you know what you're getting into whenever you came from kelley or whatever you you kind of knew like a this is this is a religion down here which it really isn't a self okay. I knew that so when of course on visit stuff like that. So i knew that You know football. Taken seriously there. But i did not know that like the fans will be that damn crazy. I can't even like it was just at some points. Where like you know. Like i mean like i know the thing of saying roll. Tide their damn like sometimes if i'm getting food be rotated ninety. It'd be like rarely eat food. Like goddamn like this out for me. Like as sometimes like because i like. I like joke around like a lot of times. They'll say roll tide naci. I'll be like war eagle all. It's like it's like the off as like so that like seeing their face there and be like well own out your way on around. I'm just messing with you. But like you know it's funny satellites. I didn't know that like it was so much. Like of the fans and stuff like that. What we so crazy there. But you know if you're a football player you wouldn't know much no no better atmosphere to play in that stuff. I mean it's so fun of like just a little small games could be the biggest games to them so like you know for the the excitement and stuff like that there is is a reason why came there and the competition level of course is the best know they have the best competition there personally. I think the sec as the best competition is the best conference you know at this point. I think everybody agrees with you. Now i mean that's just of the way it is. It wasn't always like that. I don't think personally but as its road on the powerhouse in by the way alabama is the reason right. I mean just the standard that has been set there. That feels like sabin can just put it on auto repeat every single year. Okay you're the number one recruit in america coming out of high school right. That's accurate about accurate. Shut up you shut up. Shut your high school days to not stop. The kid was it is surely sabin enters. The conversation is definitely going alabama. Like how does that whole thing unfold there and why is sabin so good getting everybody. That is unbelievable to buy into like. Hey you're not going to be a starter immediately. You're going to have to compete. You're going to do this and then you're probably gonna be a first round. Is that what he says. You're just gonna be first round draft pick. Is that how it works man. That's that's not at all So really my decision ultimately going there was a child to saving but has nothing to do with savings It was it was. It was really the the competition at attracted me. You know like you said. I was a former high recruit. And they bring in that every single year though. So like nego. And eric eaten against number one running back one linebacker number one safety no one at the end like the number one anything at every position like it helps me get better every day in like you know in other saying iran sharp iron so just the competition. There alone at practice is like is like sometimes it'll be harder than the game clower slayer crazy like the competition like thinking about this my freshman year there i was going to begins. Minka ron hairston or shot in freaky in a pain. And he's all like former first round like pain hump asking everyone at the end on the side. It was a it like starters to it's Levi wallace on the other side like it was. it was one of their best defenses. They had like. I'm guest that every single day like for me as a running back. I'm like what the hell i want. Serve all these people every.

"Who believes he's gonna win fucking golf tournament this entire amazing amazing story. I woke up this morning. Just as more information continues to be kind of. I tweeted that tiger information is rolling out right now in a lot of the internet was like. That's a terrible way to phrase house. I do not fuck amina. I meant like actually deleted. That's because i don't want people to think that i was being clever. I was not being clever. I was just talking about mitch as more and more rules out here. Feels like tigers. Probably gonna gulf again. If i had to guess he's probably gonna win again. And i hope that this never happens again happened. Here is okay. Everybody's worst nightmares from what we've been told us far are not true. So big shot eldrick tiger woods. Happy you're going to be art. I mean scared the shit out of us one of our goats pal. Pay you one of the best we've ever seen in the sports world can't be losing. Yeah happy to hear that. We're not gonna do that. Ben rothlisberger it's going to be back with the pittsburgh steelers. Allegedly both the steelers came out and said that. And ben is agent came out and said drew brees. There's an interesting article on espn. It was estimated. Forty two minute. Read so i didn't fucking i think ties currently reading that while battling through he'll be sending updates about the nfl. Pa drew brees is named gets mentioned in there and drew brees not just being talked about in that particular article a of other different articles too about whether or not drew brees is gonna retire duty. Climate who's an incredible Internet source collector just information finder in the nfl. He put out a stat. That drew brees lasts game. His passer rating was lower than if he was to just take every single. Snap and throw it into the ground. Took so his last. If he was used to take every single snap and throw it directly into the dirt he would have had a higher pass rating than what he had in his last game so doogie climbing is potentially stating that there is maybe call. That drew brees. I ain't going out like that. That can't be how i go out. But with the saints having to move forward potentially if not drew brees. I hope this one unfolds faster than it did last year because there was a lot of questioning last year and everything that happened in the offseason with but now with thirty eight days under this thing drew brees is not said. He's gonna retire. Who will be the quarterback for the saints next year. I guess at this point we just have to assume it's drew but if drew continues to string him along naked fucked over. That'd be awesome. Yeah that'd be absolutely awesome kind of watch on fold cam. Newton said a lot of things in the. Im athlete podcast. Which i'm a massive fan of that show. They do a great job down. There shot brandon. Marshall ocho fred is part. I think reggie was part of the first couple of episodes on wayne cam. Newton came on there and basically everything he said was clip. -able i mean everything about it. He ain't going out like that. He knows her isn't thirty. Two guys better than a bill. I would assume at this particular point with the way. Tom played how he played last year. How he looks. How much more healthy looks. Even as i like five years in the nfl. I would assume that the being the oldest quarterback to ever play in the nfl is potentially something that the tb twelve treatment would like to have under their marketing plan going forward and he's the greatest of all time already playing longest winning the most. I mean that is something pretty cool. I assume tom brady would absolutely love if he signs an extension with the tampa bay buccaneers for like thirty or something for a couple more years in just keeps going everybody on earth and tampa. "Was gonna say like he. He's just played such good competition any he's got the same type of skill. Set that you see with a josh allen or guy that has that extra legs. I mean quite honestly the guy who is probably closest to his shawn watson where shawn watson coming out people are like. Oh doesn't have a strong enough. Are he uses his legs more those arm. Which wasn't true And at the end of the day like those guys are good. And like he's he's a good leader from everything that i've seen in heard like there's just so many unknown quantities with these other guys behind those two I've seen a lot of people trying to talk Just looking at it right now. I'm just going through this list of. I'm actually just looking at a mock draft right now just for the hell of it in. Yeah they just have exact way up there zell. Mormon mansell fun to watch. He's got a live arm. But as you mentioned. I mean with justin fields. I mean the competition has been considerable for that guy and he didn't even have that great of a finish to the season and he still looks fine so all right. I think i think that's i think he's got go. This is good will think of the list for next time. We'll make something more controversial too so we can talk more shit to which i look forward to for zach..

"That draft and then that was when we were doing roundtables a lot with the draft i. We created the draft roundtable. Those things were so ridiculous in hindsight but at the time they seemed funny. And like we'd get we'd pull random. I don't wanna call him fans 'cause it's not like we had like some cool product where we had fans but you know lake contributors and people who would just like show up in comment every so often. We do draft discussions with them. Like if you're interested in it we would sit there and we shoot the shit over this kind of stuff and we'd record it and we did one where this guy i mean props to him. The whole topic dion jordan came up and remind you this is before the draft like this is at that point like the thought of getting deandre jordan was was really out there because the the dolphins head. What do we have in that draft. The twelfth pick was yeah. We were looking at a. Dj yeah dj hayden. I was a tyler. I for i in in that draft That's not list we can do is notre dame titans But anyway so we were talking about deandre jordan and this one guy's like deandre and socks and i was like that's cool. Who do you like. he's like. I like ezekiel lonza at that spot. Yeah i was like damn okay. So i mean that guy's credit has a much better career than dion jordan. But yeah i remember. Everyone was worried about. They thought that. ezekiel lonzo was older than his listed age. I don't know if you remember that. Yeah yes especially coming at byu. That's all aged. Initially with their crazy. That hopkins went like what twenty seven that year like. He went way late in the first round. Yeah there was at wild story about what that hotel room that. He's supposedly trashed. Yeah yeah 'cause it's wild thing that a member of the can't miss receiver kamata clemson was supposed to be sammy watkins and who was just kind of an afterthought for some people and then you look at the careers. Had you'll account man. Did people get that wrong. But speaking of that draft class. I wonder how bo bo. Urine warner was that. his name. The the defensive end from florida state. Yeah bjorn werner. I was actually thinking about him the other day because i remember when we were sitting at twelve a lot of people are like. Oh man if we could get bjorn verner. That'd be really cool. But there's no way he's going to be available twelve. What a bizarre. I guess it part of the reason he he disappeared. Fast though is due to injury. Yeah yeah which. I didn't realize. I don't remember what exactly but it sounds like. He just couldn't play anymore. yeah. I wonder what he's up to. I think he He either commentator. He does something he's associated with the game. Someone because indianapolis drafted him right. Yeah yeah twenty. Thirteen draft was that that was the manto draft to sound anyway. Oh yeah notre dame titans File it away for future reference. Okay so i've got one more. We got one more email. And then i think we can just shut it down. Yes ma'am do you think. The dolphins were onto draft. It'd be nagami. No i think. I think for what the dolphins wanna do long-term I think it makes a ton of sense for me. He just got thrown absolutely to the wolves. This shirt So he he had a bad cut fair. I mean the dude only played a few years at auburn. And like you know. He's got the athleticism behind him. Switched over from wide receiver. So like he's got some learning to do for sure but his upside is tremendous. I mean like if you can have x. Doing what he's doing covering number two guys have byron jones covering number one guys. And then you know you get Id monogamy up to speed in in the nickel an- especially with his athleticism if you can start blitzen him off the edges nickel and stuff like that. Unlike brand jones playing well as at star roles you drop brandon jones or you send brandon jones tropic monogamy. Like it gives you that versatility and flexibility that. You're looking for So i mean at the end of the day. Like hindsight's twenty twenty. You can go back and say oh. They should've taken this personnel instead. Like no shit quite honestly everybody can go back and make that connection to things but i think at the end of the day You know my my biggest question. Mark for the first round picks wasn't egg monogamy was still austin jackson. So i think they're in good shape regardless of that. Pick austin jackson. Such a surprise. You know. Just based on the i know we were leery of it because usc tackles the fact that his his last year usc was. I mean there were up that it was up and down there time. Three look great in their times. I mean the bowl game against your boy. Up a nasa bridges. There are some difficulties there. So but yeah he's been a pleasant surprise oil seven. I wanna call him pleasant surprise as he was drafted high enough to where there are certainly expectations. Attached robert hunt is an ass kicker. Yeah yeah he's he's definitely proven me more wrong than i was intimidating. The beyond him I thought he was going to really struggle with speed at the next level But he's got a pretty good job against it you know. I thought he would have issues where he gets scared against fast edge rushers and overset negative beat back inside but he's had a nice tempo to his game up to this point. He's done a really.

"They're definitely better than the running game this year So running's definitely got to be a little bit tougher for the dolphins which that's kind of how it is week to week regardless But i mean even then the crazy thing is is wall. The raiders haven't given up a ton of rushing yards given up seventeen or something like that which is pretty average for the season. They've given up the second most rushing touchdown so late in the red zone they are totally prone to getting bullied When you get into you know five yards within the end zone so it's one of those things where you know. There's there's the opportunity is there for the dolphins this week. They just need to do what they need to do. And just not have one of those weeks where they just do some stupid knots. That's honestly can't afford at this point. That's a master. The obvious statement. I get it. what do you think about. Damon are net right now. I like damon arnett. I think he's definitely got some more development to do. 'cause i thought they were going to have him play more of a a nickel role but they've needed him to play outside and he's progressed better. Over the course of the season. I liked him a lot going into the draft last year so when he ended up going in the first round i was probably one of the least surprised people I'm trying to by myself enough time here to pull up my big board from last year But so. I had him rights. And i'm never gonna find this m i Stalling for time here. So i had our net ryan thirty eight on my board like a priority second round kind of picked their He was really good at ohio state. Like he doesn't have the turnover production that you wanna see in top end guy up but we seem plenty of guys get taken high. That don't have that. I mean the dolphins have a guy on their team. That's essential to their defensive. Backfield byron jones. That doesn't have a lot of turnovers but so are netspend. A good player for the raiders. I think he could develop into a really solid number. Two outside corner Maybe he develops into a number one guy. But i think worst case scenario. We're getting a really good number. Two guy that could be a really really good slot if they ever movement side so we can use that to segue into this week's ranking and this is kind of i'm looking to do i've seen shows before where they just they just create rankings. Just so they can argue until each other stupid and I guess that's an opportune. This is our opportunity to do that so last show which is only two days ago. I almost said last week we talked. We broke down. Bama receivers post julio era. This one is going to be a little trickier because there. Because there are more guys in there. A few more. Hoa ohio state fancies itself as defensive back university. Now i used to call that for miami now. Ohio states claimed it so let's go ahead and break down ohio state coroner's since bradley roby said that's the new golden era right. Yeah that's where the runs starts so that would be bradley roby. Eli apple marshon. Lattimore gary uncommonly jeff are notch africa. Yeah jeff okudah. Damon are net. And then sean wade coming out this year for twenty twenty one. Yeah we can include wait. We included smith and waddell our last show. So it's and it's based on how they've they've played in college you don't have to you don't have to weigh their are pro output there which is going to help some of the guys on this list but it is more impressive than you think about. The the guys ohio state used to produce Can we just say more of the typical big ten variety when you're talking about dudes like a james laryngitis at linebacker you know Kirk coleman was a new one of them yeah so All right let's let's Let's give this a shot. I'm interested to see how this develops over the next few weeks. We is perfect but let's go Lowest to highest duty at first so number seven on my list is gary and conley One conley had the off field stuff which is a big issue An to gary calmly during that draft process felt very forced into like He's gonna be. I pick you know. He's from ohio state like he played opposite of lattimore. Like everybody. it's.

"Very salty But i mean it's it's a lot of fun right now. I mean it's more fun when gicc he's in there but this is a a massive and yet very mobile tight angered that they have their with koseki shaheen. And then i know durham smites. More in line guy. But they've been using him in more of a role because they don't really have that many guys of right. Now what do you think about the tight end group. I think it's a a the nice thing about the tight group is it's a good group But you have a guy out in front that has likes star potential with koseki so like. It's not typical. Dolphins anthony facade led group. Were like yeah. Well like the titans. Technically good probably could use an upgrade but like no koseki like there's a legitimate like potential top anti-dam there. And then what you get out of. The rest of. The guys is typical dolphins ethnic Level quality So i mean this might be the strongest tight end room. We've seen in years in miami. So let me ask you this question because remember that tight. End group that draft class that we are extremely high on geeky was not number one on mighty board. I know he was a non yours. So let's go back to that. Main group in that would be hayden. Hearst mark andrews. Mike kosinski dallas. Qatar is with the big four. Yeah i mean the good news is they're all playing pretty damn well in the league which is nice so i don't think it matters at that point Based on what. The dolphins were trying to do offensively. At that time i still think Hayden hearst or dallas. Goedert makes more sense for the dolphins making that. Pick for that offense in that time I mean quite honestly. If you don't have different coaching staff come in. Who knows a seki is right but koseki koseki kind of the best of both worlds if he can develop you. Know his run blocking just a little bit more Not gonna ask him to be outstanding run blocker but if you can develop him to the point where like. He's not a liability on the end. Of the line of scrimmage what he's had a few nice blocks ashir I mean he's he's just as good as any of those guys a perfect you know inbetween kind of guy. He's he's bigger than it. Evan engram but he can play that slot tight end spot At the same time. He's got enough size to him. That he is not a great line of scrimmage blocker. You're not gonna mistake him with a gronkowski or something like that. But at the end of the day he's got the size he's not gonna get pushed around. Where again. Evan ingram just made the pro bowl but he's essentially a thick boy receiver. He's very much dustin. Keller that rocked up wide receiver build and koseki has the athleticism in the size to go along with it so would like to see him break out hopefully next year into a pro bowl caliber player. Yeah we think. Tj hopkinson right. Now i mean that he's the only weapon that they have on that offense so good for him that they're they're Pushing him the ball but like you know like they need to surround that poor guy with some other options. So he's not having to put the team on his back I think he's done a good job. I don't think he's gonna be a george kittle type of outstanding tight end. I think he's going to be more like health. The hunter henry realistically man. We loved hunter. Henry too in that guy is using never healthy. Yeah he's always always beat up. The i still laugh at a with hopkinson. Remember like off until about midway through that season leading up to that draft in renault was the top guy for for iowa on every mock draft that we saw. And then you just. I mean there was just a flip and all of a sudden. Tj hodkinson was the guy. Yeah i mean. He was a full package. And more teams are gonna take the full package over A seki type of noah fant type tight end i would love to seek is just i do think he has a everything's stud but yet to seem reach that star potential especially because he's wearing us rock eight if you're gonna if you're gonna be a great time for the dolphins you get where eighty eight. I think that's how that's how i feel about it. okay. She was a big caution. I wanted to get out on the show we talked about. Tamara chase Do you wanna talk about the raiders. For second yeah yes. So i mean raiders are up this week Every game is a playoff game for the dolphins at this point. If they want to be in they gotta win out And the raiders are totally doable. They've been pretty ugly over the last stretch here. I know they played a close closer with the chargers but like for a team that came hot. Out of the gates raiders. They probably should be beating teams like the chargers You know they put up some points against the colts. But they couldn't get that done They barely beat the jets. Thought that was potentially going to be the jets first win and then four weeks ago they get blown out by the falcons you know. So it's the raiders have not been pretty. They've stayed around in most games Averaging kind of that twenty twenty seven twenty eight points a game but the problem is absurd. Defense has just been really really not good I think their seventh or eighth in total yards given up on the season And then their top twelve in touchdowns given up this season. So they are. They're struggling in the in the passing game. They're they are not doing any favors for anyone..

"On average, a nice answer for Alabama after Texas A and M had gotten back into this game seven plays 66 yards scoring drive. Najee Harris pulls it in from two yards out extra point. Good. They drive to two minutes and 34 seconds 907 to go in the first half in Alabama back on top by a score of 21 to 14. That was, That's what Nick Saban was looking for that offense. After that, three and out and totally change the momentum of this game from Texas A and M and I'll damage back on top kick off. Write it from right to left. That's gonna go into the end zone again. Chase Lane decides not to feel it now telling mine's gonna have to answer. Mac Jones. Jones is off to a great start. He's 10 of 13 226 yards and a touchdown Taliban so far, 7 13 107 yards and two Touchdown. Alabama went three and out score than next drive the exact same thing three out our last drug, let's put together a nice for Dr tied on defense. And in all in whites with helmets on moving left to right field. Mom works out of a shotgun from his own 25 yards. Put it up on some heat, dumps it off over the middle, and that is incomplete Pass intended for Smith coming out of the backfield. That time it'll be second down, and 10 illustrates. The difference between Mack Jones isn't killing marches. Jack Jones felt pressure on that last drive stepped up into the pocket kept his eyes downfield was able to complete the past. That's on Lamont felt pressure wasn't sure where to go in the pocket, got his eyes down to the rush was unable to complete the pass down the field to different guys have two different levels. Quarterback play.
