VelociPodcast 152: Can a Centaur identify as a Minotaur?

"Loss of the loss of the loss of loss. Support cursed the loss of podcasts. Hey, sexy friend. He's making me his bitch. Maybe want to get a piece of that. I want to talk about sexy teens. I was getting erections. It's very creepy. I can guarantee that underwear theft will come up again. None of this is relevant Pokemon, cookie balls. Seven hundred and fifty middle will. Welcome to the podcast, a study and Manala. Gee, this is your grumpy ankle. Peter. He will say words at you clearly have been working through my daddy issues lately, because I've told multiple stories about my experiences with my father, my father plays guitar anyplace fairly. Well, and when I was young, I think it was about twelve I asked him to teach me how to play guitar now. See sat me down on chair and he put the guitar. He told me I had to cross my legs. And I asked why he said, that's how classical guitarist sit. So it's how you sit properly, but I was very self-conscious twelve year old boy in sitting like that wasn't comfortable. I'd never sat like that before. So actually sitting like that was physically uncomfortable. And quite frankly, the guitar being as big as it was, and I was still relatively small when I sat that way the guitar went up into my chin, and I couldn't even see the strings or where my hands would be. And, but it was more the self conscious aspect of sitting in a way I wasn't comfortable with that really, really. Put me off. But my father wouldn't let it go. He said, if I didn't I had to sit properly if I was going to do it. So, of course, I never came back for a second lesson. I think I learned acord I strummed it a couple of times, and then that was it. We were done. And I was supposed to come back and ask him if I ever wanted the second lesson, but I never came back because I knew the first thing you would do was made me, sit properly which I found very uncomfortable. Didn't want to do. So there's a neat question there. So is it worth making someone do something properly, if they're going to immediately quit? Or is it better to have them? Do it a slightly wrong way in maybe have that skill for the rest of their life because I don't play guitar. I don't play any instrument. I have no musical talent because I've never practiced, and I've never practiced because of that first negative experience because I was forced to sit in a way. I wasn't comfortable sitting, but also it comes down to enjoyment. Now, my father and his mind, I wasn't dedicated enough. I, I didn't really want it that badly. And I didn't I didn't want it that badly. I just thought, oh, there's guitars around the house guitars, in a neat thing. I see I see people on TV using them. They seem like kind of sexy. Maybe like to learn electric guitar down the line, and be rockstar, who knows. I didn't have a particular passion for it. But it was a neat thing. It was available and I wanted to try it, and I was immediately turned off doing it because I actually never saw anyone sit down playing classical guitar. I saw music videos guys were jumping off speakers and doing guitar solos way, cooler than sitting with your legs cross. I playing classical guitar. So I think maybe it's better to introduce people to new things in a way that they enjoy it, regardless of it being one hundred percent proper or not as opposed to them, not being able to pick up any new skills because should you get comfortable with the guitar? You might wanna learn classical guitar, and then sitting that way might make more sense, or you might start doing that naturally anyways, but it's the same thing when people who are left handed are forced to do things in a right handed way. A lot of them I can see. It's so uncomfortable. They wouldn't do it in the first place. Why who does it hurt? If they do it in technically wrong way. And actually pick up the skill. Takes us onto a whole different topic that just entered my head that there were no left handed samurai you had to, if you were left handed, you still had to learn to wheeled your sword with your right hand. So that old Japanese ideology comes in all of a sudden. But now I'm thinking a left handed samurai would really mess up everyone because they would have no idea what to do. The core question why are dragons on game of thrones in the hobbit done incorrectly? Those are wide Verne's not dragons. This is a problem. I've I have addressed several times. And it's the problem of people not understanding fiction. So I had to go look up the definition of wven just to make sure I knew what I was talking about. And to see to make sure I understood what this person was talking about. So the definition of a wide Vern is a winged two legged dragon with a barbed tail. And then if you look up the definition of dragon, dragon is a large serpent like legendary creature that appears in folklore of many cultures around the world beliefs about dragons, very drastically by region dragons, and western cultures since the high middle ages have often been depicted as winged horned four legged and capable of breathing fire. The first problem is that a wine is a kind of dragon and therefore calling into a dragon is perfectly acceptable. So the person who asked this question is trying to define something, which is actually a sub category of a big thing. So calling it a wider, and his correct, and calling it a dragon his also correct? So there's your first problem is they think that those are different things, and they're not once a subcategory of another now, that's like saying you shouldn't call people mammals, because they're humans, but humans are kind of mammal. So it is actually perfectly acceptable to walk around saying mammal, mammal mammal mammal. You actually just walk around saying that that'd be really weird. Now my personal problem is whenever someone complains about fiction. They seem to think that it's not fiction anymore that there are rules that apply to the fiction, but those are rules are only in their head, a great example of this is that these Bs in the Walking Dead are never referred to his own bees, because the author decided that in this fictional world. There had never been any zombie fiction, so they had never used that word so they call them walkers. And then when they meet different communities, the different communities have different names for. The undid who've come back in attack them. That's a really cool. Interesting thing. And I thought it was really nice touch never using the word zombie, the author when creating a fiction is free to create whatever they want and defined it any way they want. So when they are writing about dragons and game of thrones he could have called it whatever he wanted. He called it dragons, probably because we know what a dragon is. And therefore, you don't have to draw a big painting or an image, or an idea of what a dragon is as soon as I say dragon you have a fairly basic idea of what a drag and looks like so that's all work done for you by general mythology. That doesn't have to be done by the author, but he could have called them, androids, this big reptile like thing with wings that breathes fire that walks around on two to four legs, the androids have come because in his universe. He creates the name and. What is the name that everyone in that universe is going to accept the fact that you don't like it in that you're using a definition is come from another source means that other sources now irrelevant because it's not within this universe. It would be like if you read a science fiction, book, that talked about die lithium crystals and you got angry that they weren't using dilute the crystals the same way that, that term is used in Star Trek because Star Trek as far as I know where they originally coined the term die lithium crystals. But the fact that I've changed universe, and I'm using a similar word or the same word for different thing is perfectly acceptable, because that is how fiction works. So why are the dragons and game of thrones in the hobbit done incorrectly, while they're not you are incorrect, because first of all, you've not even understood the definition properly. Those are wide Verne's, not dragons, Wibran's are kind of dragon and therefore you can call them dragons, but more importantly, you misunderstood, how fiction works, because the most important thing to remember is. It's not real. Hip hitter in episode one fifty he referred to park or part, humans as centers, and I believe you assume that they're mythos species, and I happen to know that some of them will identify as mentors. So I'd like you to talk about mandatory, please. Yeah. Let's, let's talk about minute tours. 'cause that's that's how I wanna spend my life. That's, that's what I went to school for years and years of education university degree. Minute tours. Right. So there's a couple of actual issues. One, I had to do research for the center episode, which really sort of ruined a bit of me inside part of my soul died a little bit. And the reason is I had to go and read about centers and of course anything that's posted on the internet. People weigh in with their opinions, you get people's ideas, and thoughts and things. And in most of those are pretty awful. And I think the reason it bothered me was because there were actual people who, who were legitimately trying to take a stand on the center miniature issue. But it's very clearly divided. You can't identify as a minute tour or sent or you can't be a center who identifies as mentor because of the definition now, this, of course if you get into modern. Social politics is actually a very risky stands to take. So I'm taking a tough stand, but it's primarily because sentors are specie whereas the minute or is actually an individual, you have the center of the central is universally defined as a human torso attached to the physical body of a horse, but that it would even include the horse tour show, which is the first problem that comes up, when you think about centers, a minute tour is a human body with a Bullhead and a bull tail now we there were some questions as to whether a center could have a human body in horse torso, but throughout the mythos that never occurred, the, the minute tour. Specifically, though is the offspring of the creatine Queen pacify not hundred percent. Sure. I'm saying that Pepsi Fe and a majestic bull it's actually defined as a majestic. I don't know what the difference between a bona. Majestic bull is. In this cream Queen, why she was getting it on with a bull. It's I didn't read the whole story. And I think the reason I didn't read the whole story is because I didn't want to. I took a deep dive once into Zeus. And basically, it was all the things that Zeus had raped. And after that, I kind of kind of. Lost a bit of my taste for mythology because there was a bit too much rape. And there was a lot of interactions between animals, and people now, the one of the things I brought up in episode one fifty cent tour episode was the story of Mr Hans, and Mr Hans had a horse provide sexual services for him and it killed him. Now, I don't know what's going on with this cream and Queen. Or the majestic bull. But the fact that a she survived that, and be produced offspring brings up a lot of questions and questions that we're not going to get answers to, again, because I'm not going to do that research. So could a send tour identify as a minute tour when, when people say identify something else, they referred to a general thing it would be difficult for someone to say that identify as different individual, like if you said guy who sent in this question, my name is guy, but I is grumpy Okla. Peter, that would be very hard thing for people to accept now, you could say, I defy as a different gender, you could say dentist, as a lot of things we know that phrase identifies different animals, mostly fictitious ones, and there's a step beyond that, which is the one that sort of confuses me where it's the. The people who identify as an anime character, and that's actually where I start to draw the line in that I think somehow I can accept you identify that you are a dragon you could identify that you are from the world of Nado toe you are a Nado ninja. But when you say I defy as a specific character like I buy as rock Lee, the problem is, when you meet someone else who identifies as Rockley, and this is apparently, a real conflict that has happened on the internet, which is, again, why the internet is just maybe a place that should be closed off burned. You get these two people who both identifies Rockley and then you can't have a singular rock Rockley. But the whole point is that Rockley is an individual. You run into the same problem now with the center minute or question because the miniature isn't a species. It's a singular individual. So could you have multiple centers identify as minute tours? And here we've gotten into a series of sentences that I never wanted to say in my life because they're not identifying as something different from them in general. Because being a minute or is no longer just a feeling or an understanding or something you identify as being a minute tour is singular. So the question then is do you accept that you could that you guy could identify as me Peter, but then I think the secondary question is to why won't accept it is what happens to me. Peter because I defy as Peter can we both identify Peter can compete or be a universal state of being which I don't think it can and primarily because the universe would collapse in on itself. So just because there are a mixture of body parts, you have the center torso in the horse body in the Bullhead in the human body. Those do not quite, they're not the same thing. And the centers are abominations but they are an abomination that is a species that has generalized the minute tour is unique. I. Don't think you can really justify identifying as a unique individual in the universe because once something is an individual wants something that's unique. It is different from all other things. And so you can't identify is that because you can't fully encompass or understand what that thing is. So that's why guy cannot identify as me. That's why those anime kids can't actually identify as an individual anime character because they can't actually understand all the worldview. And so they don't really share all the feelings of that person of that character, the thinking about the minutes for which is again, something I never really wanted to do in my life. I realized that the miniature I've a big question about the mentors brain because it has a Bullhead doesn't necessarily mean it has a bull brain. So does the minute tour behave more like a bull or more like a human or is it some kind of actual hybrid? Because I think it's presented as a hybrid. It's actually in the things I've read presented as more animalistic than human. It's sort of a rage machine. And so they have that big maze built for it. I don't really know why that was a better solution. But they made the big maze the labyrinth that he was kept in now what I do know. And this is again, maybe a big differentiation between the minute or in the centres the minute tour was given youths and maidens to eat, so he ate human flesh, send tours. Now, I don't know specifics about their diet, and that's actually a big question that I had because they technically would have multiple stomachs. They would have the human stomach in the front, and then they would have the horse stomach sort of down later in their body. So which stomach gets used because the human stomach in the hor- stomach don't process foods, the same way send tours are depicted as eating meat and hunting. So they are not depicted as eating youths and maidens, not specifically. So we don't know of that's true that actually might be the diagram of creatures, but somehow, the mentor makes more sense, because he just has one stomach. So he eats and he digests very much like a human would does the center eat meat that is digested in the human stomach. And then graze on grass, which is digested in the hor- stomach. How would it know which one to use? Does it have to Asaf agai? One where the path for meat goes to one stomach. And one that goes to the horse stomach, which is way longer because it actually would kind of go all the way through the human part of the body into the horse body. Yeah, it just leaves too many questions, the digestion of the center is now, my biggest sticking point is, how does that work know someone needs to explain what descend towards eat? And if they only eat meat or hunting, if they if they hunt and they eat meat primarily say their primary source of food is protein of some sort other animals, does that have a negative impact on the horse side of their body because it seems like it would I don't think you could feed horses high protein diets like meat, and they would remain healthy, just like you can't take predator and give them some sort of grass fed diet, expect them to remain healthy, so there are very specific physiological differences. But I think that's not the big problem. Because you can identify as someone who's different from you in a general sense. It's the individualized nature of the minute, or that makes him unique in the world you could say you identify is the miniature, but you actually wouldn't understand what the miniature feels because the minute tour feel specific things, and you can't feel the exact same things. I mean it is possible. You could feel the exact same things, but you couldn't say it to such a degree with confidence the you're feeling the same way that you are actually therefore in a body -ment of the minute tour. So the reason ascend tour cannot identify as a minute. Tor is the individualized nature of a singular being in the universe. The minute tour and digestion. "July fifth. Is Bikini Day in Japan. Most of these sort of. NON official celebratory events. Have a reason that is some sort of play on words. In this case July fifth. Doesn't seem to actually have one of those, so it actually has no reason to exist. I looked into it. A bit I mean Bhai bid I mean about ten minutes once. I didn't find anything in ten minutes I decided that this was not worth my time. The only thing I could come up with or the only thing the internet could come up with for me. Was that July fifth is sort of the beginning of the season in Japan? The beginning of when you can start wearing a bikini to the beach. The thing is these this year. That since July fifth basically rained every day we've hit rainy season so I would also need to check if rainy season and consistent I know what happens around, July. And it sucks if you live in Japan right now. It's hot and then it rains, and it's hot and humid. And sometimes it's hot and humid while it rains. And I being Canadian, who grew up with it's hot, and then it rains, and it immediately cools down. I still now after living in Japan for like twenty years can't get that out of my head that this is not natural that after it rains, it cools off, so I kind of look forward to that, and then it doesn't then I'm like God I live in Japan. anyways on the Internet if you search for Bikini Day, you'll find various websites. Posting lots of pictures usually from twitter. Of Japanese girls, wearing bikinis on Bikini Day on July fifth lot of models and things like that will post a bikini picture. This is a public service announcement. If that's what you're into. You have to wait till next year. Now I mean it's not like you couldn't find Bikini pictures on other days. It's just if you are. That Lazy. You could wait until next year until July fifth and then press a button on twitter search. Bikini Dan. You'll get lots of results. Like fresh ones I don't know I. Guess they probably don't take a picture for Bikini Day. They probably just grab an old bikini picture and post it a lot easier. That's what I would do. I would be. A Lazy. Model. So I would want all the adulation I would want all the people going who he's so beautiful in his bikini. I would want all that and I would want all the money associated with it like people sending me. I would make an only fans and I. Put my button the camera for money. then. But I'm also lazy. And Lazy can be efficient, but it also could be dishonest, so that's something you've got to be aware of. I think I wouldn't be a great bikini model. Not? It's not physical. Let's make that clear as I. Physically! If this was my job, I would put a little more effort into it and I would probably be able to pull it off all right. I mean I don't think I. Have Bikini Body Right now, but I wouldn't be ashamed to take off my shirt. So we have a Bevy of? Corona by stories. Because, it's not gone. Over the last week Japan hit, or Tokyo specifically hit two hundred cases a day for four days, and that's up from for a little while it was down into the double digits. Maybe even they got down to ten a day for a few days. It was really low, and it looked like it was just y'all a little bit more. It'll go away and then it started going up. And last week reported. that. Out of two hundred and some cases eighty three were young men who had all gone out. There's actually a theater. Put on a show in thirty cases came from that, so it's someone in the audience. Maybe had Co.. It was all traced back to this one show. There's actors and actresses have it audience members have it so I was actually think you like what was more likely someone in the audience like? An coughed into the audience and they got it. And then someone went backstage and spread it to the the actors or someone on stage had it. Maybe during or would just talking and shot into the audience. Not like one options better than the other. It just became an interesting thing of sort of physics in what would be more likely. But now we're getting lots of Kovic Stories again and. I was I got several messages that my tone changed near the sort of end of the peak. I DIDN'T WANNA. Talk about corona anymore. But we have a lot of random ones and that's. Okay I'm just sort of reality we have to deal with, and maybe I'm just gonNA. Get more comfortable with it over time. So it's two hundred cases a day for four days. It's down to one hundred nineteen, so it's actually started going down. The last report I read was probably a day or two old now, so maybe a yesterday or the day before they had one hundred nineteen cases in Tokyo, and they keep measuring Tokyo. It's not the whole country because Tokyo is of course going to be epicenter. They do on occasion. Put on the news like a full map of Japan. How many cases are in each prefecture and the one I live in in the one I work in both zero now I'm still taking all the precautions. Zero doesn't mean there are no cases are no reported cases or no cases they've actually found. So I still wear my mask I. IF I hold onto a bar on the train I wash my hands as soon as I get off and I use the hand sanitizer, because that's not you know that's not scarce anymore. An interesting thing that's happening Shinjuku. In Tokyo and Shinjuku. If you get corona virus. And you live in Shinjuku. The government local government will give you one hundred thousand yen, and they're calling it condolence money. The weird thing is in Shinjuku. They have more cases and less residence than elsewhere in Japan. So basically you have a smaller population that seems to have more cases of corona virus than anywhere else, and the government's like Oh that's so sad. Let's give them some money. The reason that this has become sort of the new epicenter. Is for exactly the same reason is those young men were getting. It is that this is where all the bars and hostess bars and nightlife is in Japan. So they're thinking anyone who lives in that area. Other people are coming there who have corona virus and bring it to this place and sort of leave behind his leave, and then it stays in this area. But. Other residents of Tokyo are complaining saying it's not fair, and it's weird that you're giving a place where they seem to be getting more coronavirus than anyone else one hundred thousand, and then not giving it to anyone else. As for. Suspicious spikes and weird things. Okinawa has some American military base and we all know America's still going crazy. They still have more cases than anyone else. It still basically peak pandemic and yet they seem to be acting like it's not. That's an interesting. Side Note. Because it's a military base full of American soldiers. The actual numbers are sort of classified, so they're not allowed to say like. The whole base has been decimated by corona virus. Because that would essentially say oh, you know potential terrorists or threats were not protected right now. Everyone's in bed with krona virus news articles have stated dozens of cases. A large number of cases, so they can't be specific, so that's the information they're getting. From people in the area, and like sorta leaks that have gone out there estimating up to sixty cases now this matches Tokyo for the same day that that newspaper article went out. So one military base. Matched the city of Tokyo for the number of cases. then. It was reported that they were thirty two cases up the next day, so I don't know why they gave you that one because they said we have an undetermined number, but plus thirty two the next day, and that puts them over ninety, which actually means this one base in Okinawa ended up having more cases than Tokyo in the same day. America. You know they're really killing it with Corona, and they've imbued that upon their soldiers, so whatever the soldiers are doing. They're not being safe about I bet. The soldiers aren't wearing masks. I bet they're not being forced to wash their hands and Hanson hand sanitizer all the time. And if you know the image holds. Like these are sort of more conservative people, there sort of trump followers, and they believe what trump says. They are less likely to protect themselves. And that would explain why. Corona virus is now decimating this Okinawan base. The weird side note is people in Okinawa. They hate these military bases. They don't want them there. They think it sort of makes them a target. I think it brings war to essentially trying to be a peaceful area. So I. Don't know if they're happy about it I. Think what they're worried about. IS PEOPLE COMING OFF BASE AND SPREADING CORONA VIRUS? Because if they have that many cases, it's obviously they're not taking care of themselves if they're not taking care of themselves, they're not going to be worried about other people. Further Corona Virus News. I can't get away from it. That's actually been all the news this week. So honestly it is odd facts about corona virus sort of things that are happening because of it. you will remember I. Think was last. I think it was two weeks ago. I talked about I installed. Coca, which is an APP contact tracing out for Japan and it had problems when it was first released because it wasn't doing his job. And the point is, people have downloaded and use it. and the majority of people's asked me like sixty percent seventy percent, maybe seventy five percent for it to be actually effective. Promise the APP doesn't work. So it's been. It's been suspended again. There was a bug with the input information. So. If I get corona buyers, I can track the disease. I'm given a number. I'm supposed to put that number into the APP and then. That number would then register with anyone who's had contact with me, but it's that number is separate from everything else, so it's the ideas that keep my personal information private, but then people who've been in contact with me. You can then take care of themselves and get themselves checked. It apparently does not recognize that number, so no alert ever went out so even if I got corona virus, and I followed all the steps, and I put in my number. no-one be alerted. Because didn't actually recognize the input so. This is garbage now. I downloaded it and I tried to get other people to download it because you know the whole point is a majority of people have to have it, but even if you downloaded apparently doesn't do anything so. At that point who cares? There were only six point eight million downloads, and again in the country, one hundred thirty two million people. That's not that many. There's a motorcycle going outside. The kid next door. All Right! He got a new motorcycle awhile ago. He's very excited about it. He will spend time just revving the engine. He just wants to hear that sweet noise of the motorcycle. Okay call me ninety nine. Comma cat is a big collection. I only ever looked at it on the Internet for pictures of girls and costly. Being very honest about that is the only bit that interest me, but what? It really is a selling comics, I would make comics at home and I would sell them. My original comics rip comics, and there was kind of like a. it's kind of like a blind eye. If you sell your rip-off comic, so let's say I'm the creative Nado toe and you create your. Ship, comic and you sell it at copycat. There is actually very good chance I won't say anything or I will come after you legally because it's kind of understood, that says what happens there in his for young artists, new artists to get their workout, and you know where you can buy really weird creepy stuff. It is also where you can buy really good stuff, and there's a lot of girls wearing not very much closed because their cost playing girls who don't wear a lot of close. Not that that's the part you should focus on. Comic Ninety nine has been of course canceled. And it will be. They're going to wait until golden week twenty twenty one. That's next May. And that's when they're going to have it. They're going to have a virtual version, but again the virtual version. No one really knows what that means, and you can't sell physical copies. The whole point is I could go there by physical copy of comic and take it home and actually read it. It's not going to be the same selling that over the Internet. So that's going to be hard for people who actually do make some money off, comment. Scary result of Corona virus and the whole lockdown and people being scared and quite reasonably I'm not actually saying this is a wrong idea. It's just a scary consequence. People have been not vaccinating their kids because the coronavirus. It's not because of coronavirus because they're like. I don't WanNa. Take my kid to a clinic or other sick people who might have corona virus, and then we all get corona virus. This the last couple of months. Since. Vaccination is mandatory in Japan. You actually have to legally. You have to vaccinate your kids. You can't not vaccinate your kids. Because their fear of infection, thirty three percent of the people didn't vaccinate now. That's not to say. They're opposed to vaccination facts, most Japanese people because it's a legal requirement because it's a sort of a normal thing, they don't even think about it. You just vaccinate your kids. This is an interesting case for anti vaccines because they say it causes autism. Causes all these kinds of problems. If that were true, you would have a significant spike of autism and things like that in Japan compared to America, which is not the case. they do have more cases of autism compared to previous sort of generations, but that's because of diagnosis so now dislike corona virus. If you test for it, and you know what to test for, you get more results. So. That's why the number of autism cases has been going up in years. Because now they can recognize autism better so if you ever meet an anti vaccine taxis. Japan is a case study. Ninety, nine, maybe even one hundred percent of the people here, certainly anyone born here has been vaccinated and check the cases of autism. Seventeen percent of the thirty three percent have already rebooked, so it's not that there were refusing to vaccinate. They're just like I'm going to wait. Until everything calms down and sixteen percent are still waiting until basically coronavirus goes away. The scary bit is those diseases that you vaccinate four. The come back because I know. An anti vaccines took hold in America. You saw a resurgence of diseases that were essentially gone like measles and stuff They came back. So that's terrifying. The total side issue in Mongolia there was a couple that eight deliver of some author or something that they caught, and they got the black plague, so that could come back, and that was last year, but it's actually happened more than once in Mongolia since then so. Some most look forward to I, guess. I don't know. The Olympics also heavily affected by Corona virus have started issuing refunds over the delay, so if you bought tickets to the Olympics you can get your money back now. Those. Tickets will still be good if you hold onto them. You can still go to the Olympics when they happen. Should, they happen. That's actually the thing. But if you hold on your ticket, it's still good. It's not going to get canceled or change. You have to buy it again. Just have to keep your ticket and you'll be able to go to the event. The schedule is staying. Basically, the same is because it's x amount of months later. That's GONNA. Make it very difficult for people who were traveling to Japan. To actually travel so if that's the situation, you can get your money back so at least no one's getting ripped off. Actually kind of was happy about that. What? I was actually kind of happy about that. Four point four eight million tickets were sold for the Olympics. And Eighty percents of the venues they were going to use. Have Been Re secured so. One of the stories did a couple weeks ago. Maybe even a month ago was how all the venues and stuff with the Olympics like those are all contracts, and all those contracts expires. If they wanted to Redo the Olympics, they had to renegotiate all those contracts pretty much. All of it has already been secured again. I think those venues want the Olympics as much as the Olympics WanNa. Go there so I don't. For I don't think it would be that big a deal, but still there's twenty percent, and maybe the problem is. They already had other stuff booked that they're still going to go through with. And the government in Japan, he's making an interesting decision by promoting travel. We missed cherry blossom season. And we missed golden week because of Krona virus so golden week is a week long holiday. It's a bunch of national holidays, but people get the whole week off in general, and it is one of the prime time travel I usually don't travel them because the roads are congested, it's so busy. It's just not fun and every tourist places full. This is led to a promotional campaign. Let me saying. Let's travel in Japan. Let's revisit Japan. Let's get to know Japan because one of the things they're saying is that domestic travel is going to reinvigorate the economy? But the people who live in these areas don't want people traveling there, so there are a couple of places, is co people have been interviewed line? And what they said was look my prefecture. My town had zero corona virus cases. We don't want people from Tokyo bringing it here now. So it's a nice idea to travel and stuff, but at the end of the day. Krona virus is still a thing, and if people start traveling so I, get on the on the train. I have grown virus is spread it to everyone in the car of the train, and then we all get off into this town. We all spread out. Yeah, you're looking at like a new of corona virus. Is One of the arguments again. America's opening up states and stuff not having quarantine. There's also a campaign for fifty percents off Shinkansen Tickets Shinkansen bullet train in Japan. I mean that would be nice again if you want to travel, but. You honestly probably should not travel. Until the coronavirus is a thing of the past. But there may be a solution. So I mentioned a supercomputer. Japan now has the fastest supercomputer in the world. And they said this is the computer to solve this problem, so it said. How do we stop the corona virus spreading and they were talking about train specifically. In, the supercomputer said you have to open. The windows have less people on the train. And this will increase. Ventilation. So you can't have too many people on the train because that actually blocks the air moving around, but without ventilation it means you actually have less problems. If you, open the windows and have fifty percent people in the car on the train. That will be two to three times more ventilation. And that will help stop transmission. Duh. I. Mean honestly if you said Hey Peter. We're going to give you the same amount of money. We paid for the electricity for this stupid machine. How would you stop the virus on a train? I would say put less people on the train and opened the windows. Yeah. We know that the problem is in the rain. You can't open the windows because we actually just had a couple of really heavy rain days. If you open the windows, you wouldn't be able to stand anywhere close to the windows, or you could just get wet. That is an option. and the idea of packing people in the train is great, except that's the problem is the whole point of the trains and Japan is. They're packed full of people. It's one of these efficient systems. It's no one likes it. I hate being packed on trade just like anyone else, but that's just the reality so way to go supercomputer. You came up with an answer. That's not gonNA work. Let's get into some not corona virus news I did try to find as much non corona virus stuff. Is I could? There was a girl standing on the street. She's sixteen years old I'm GonNa assume she's cute. Man Walks up and grabs, but and she was waiting for a mom or mom comes up, and the girl says that do gramma, but the mom. Grabs, the Guy Ts twenty five year old office worker. and. She holds him there until the police arrive. So I don't know of this. Mom was particularly hard core and strong, or this guy was particularly weak, but either way this did not work out for that guy, and it's weirdly satisfying to have a mom. Just take down at twenty five year old, Dude. A former host decided that since his day job or his night job had been devastated by coronavirus. No one was coming to the club anymore that he he's GonNa Start Committing fraud. So he went to an Old Lady's House and he pretended to be a member of a guarantor association, and there's one is in her eighties. and. He got her Bancard, and then he went to the bank and withdrew. Two million. The woman immediately after he left called the police, so she actually let the fraud happen so that he could actually be arrested for a crime. Because you're saying this guy's impersonating a Garin tour and might be a lesser crime. The best part of the story that was reasoning was. She called the police and said he has strange hair for such an association. So he still had his host club hair which again if you don't come from Japan live Japan have never been in Japan and it's a hard thing to imagine you just have to imagine large. Forward facing spiky hair with tons of product in it. which does give off a very very specific image? Which? Someone from a guarantors association probably would not have so the woman was was dead on. She's eighty years old and she's like that guy with that hair does not work for a guarantors association. I'M GONNA. Let them rip me off and call the cops and get this taken care of, and she did so that satisfying. Survey since got to have a little survey and every now and then. Twenty to thirty year, old Japanese people sleep eight hours a day, which is forty five fifty minutes longer than ten years. They're saying that men from twenty to thirty four sleeping seven hours and fifty five minutes a night, which is up from two thousand five, which was seven hours and eleven minutes women. Are Sleeping seven hours and fifty nine minutes a night, which is up from seven hours and nineteen minutes, so women on average sleeping four to five minutes longer than men in Japan if they're in their twenties thirties. They're saying that this is because people are more likely to stay home. They're enjoying activities at home. And the saying a lot of people fall asleep while playing with their smartphone so either on their phone, and then they fall asleep because they're already in bed. I don't know if that's good or bad like I've heard all this stuff about you know smartphones before bed or bad, and you don't sleep as well, but if people are getting like an hour, more sleep. That can't be too bad, right? But talking about sleep. S Morris. Something that I do not understand. But there are four videos online. I will post the links. People are really desperate for them. The nobody is sitting chasing that finish. Right. Right. On the button. Now, he's he's out. This is you f c on filtered. And now your hosts Jim Norton and mad, Sarah. You know, welcome to the show. Yes. I gotta be honest. Get excited. I saw my stomach hanging over my belt at this morning. I wanna throw myself off my balcony fucking Matt brings in the best snacks collar flour, pretzels. Where do you find the stuff? You my secret. I mean wherever you find it. I want to go. There was a street eight really do. Right. Yeah. Man. Mas- lines healthy treats another healthy, but they're healthier than what I would eat which regular pretzels and welcome back. I know Matt was at the fights. I was not at the fights. Yes. I was and just pay for tickets. Will you know, I don't like to brag about shit. I am whole Famer. I had a blast. I gonna say what I was doing. But I was hanging out the boss, man. Dean Thomas, also you saw dean. I got the hang out with a I had a great time. Man. I get into what we do this special show, but Nina Dana, white looking for a fight shirt. You know, we shot a couple of those in the last month. So it's exciting, man. Like the back on the road with those guys and gals today, and we had Amanda Nunez, the champ champ and Nina answer of hanging out with us. We had we had a blessed. Are they get married? I don't know, man. But I think I'm actually close enough with them. Now, I think this trip because I wrote trip with them a little bit this trip. I think warrants myself and MRs Sarah invited there. But you know, why am Bose I don't know. That's probably that's probably true. But they can't invite you without inviting me because it'd be so awkward or wouldn't be awkward. Oh, so awkward time. They came on you guys it'll be discussing the wedding Jimmy. I'd have to sit there shaving ice cream. Jimmy ice cream that I think it'd be awkward. Well, it's like this. I think that if they would just do the podcast, and this and that and then that would be awkward, but this you bond with people are trip. Yeah. Wanted with them kind of through because you have see bonded for us. Well, not at all. But like literally like we're going to like like an odds faster some. Fucking amazing place to enjoy music kidding. We have different types of music. She'll be like you like Ozzy Osbourne, and I like post Malone sunflower. Yes. Okay. This different stroke episode. Sure. But the point is this I had a blast you've been invited to the wedding. I'm saying I hope I'm wrecking. I will be invited helped me look we we like, Jim we're not invited to the wedding. So we shouldn't invite Matt either from actually ruining your invitation to the wedding, probably while we talk about the fights. Oh, yeah. I was going to say we're gonna get Roxanne on the phone. Iraq, cemeteries, call fairy I like her a lot ever women as well who doesn't show jumping on the you have C broadcasts. Trevor what about him? He doesn't is a little little bit jumping in and giving some he gives a quick hot take for a minute in and out. He talks a lot about the corner work. Try like that. I like that a lot because that's something that I do like by myself or with Longo somebody God at corner, Jim. And they said they said just go on and suck. I don't say like, but you know, I would never do what other comedians Jimmy you. And you you by scale from them. No. Oh, sorry. Sorry. I'm seeing like you and your buddy Bobby Kelly today, your watch people on stage. We don't even watch hyrax San. How are you? You're talking to Jim and Matt it's Roxanne. Oh, fantastic. Good to talk to you. Well, nice to talk to you as well. Where are you today? I'm a syndicate finally training aftermath light you do. I'm sorry to hear you doing what I'm finally turning cleaning afterwards. Like all. Okay. Did you have an injury or do you typically just take a little time off? Yeah. Usually take a week off. I try to do some get you get to. But I don't do MA for weeks. Just to just in case the behead so always safer. I love that. What do you enjoy about the key Roxanne? Man. I started in the geese. So I just I love the sport of jitsu. You know, I loved you don't I love I love it on with you. I'm big on the game now. And sometimes I think and I have this. I can get into so many different reasons why. But I'm starting to think the reason why I like the role would a lot lately 'cause I'm just like over forty and it's slow shit down to be honest with you, listen happy warrior, my talk to you about some Star Wars stuff because I know you into some she's into like, the you're all the geeky culture person. Absolutely. That's what you see game of thrones last night. No, I don't know. My friends told me it's like really violent, and I really sensitive to blood and guts and stuff. So I kinda haven't watched it. That is amazing considering the profession you have chosen. I know sorry to interrupt you. But when you're fighting, obviously blood you offer your face somebody else. Does it affect you there or is it only like in films well their intestines? Splitting everywhere. So. That's a good point. No, she truly is the happy warrior. And you have that demeanor. Like right up into the cage. And where did that come from? I never seen you angry Roxanne. No, actually, just before a fight like as the cage doors closing. I tell myself like I make a point to tell myself. All right. Get ready for Vence. You might have to hurt her. Just get ready for you're gonna do it like feel myself for you know, the kind of put the switch so to speak, and yeah, I just always try to stay positive and look on the bright side of everything when I'm outside and fighting. But then when it time, you know, I tell myself, it's it's different. This is the fight. You know, you gotta you gotta do it. Gotta do what it takes. So you don't have to get yourself into a place where you dislike the person, you're fighting or you have animosity or anger towards no they say like for Jetta, there's peace. There's no motion when you fight. So I'm like German jet. I I refused really like especially in training. If I start like, maybe they hit me too hard or something like that. I get mad I breathe, and I circled out, and I wait until that feelings anger dissipates before I continue training because I've take very seriously. I. Love that. Are you up to date with all the movies as far? You saw the last. Yes. I did thoughts. I was kind of unhappy with you know, how they killed Luke. I could not I cannot see that. Really? Yeah. Go ahead. Well, the way he acted to just it didn't seem very in character. And I know the actor himself complained on five actually said a spoiler. I don't. Five years ago. Jimmy breaks chops. Oh, I didn't know that actually is no one coming now. Call the riser Skywalker. Yes. Oh, okay. But that's him coming back that we don't know it. They don't know he three title out. They get excited about what that means like Israel. Good. Sorry. I feel like Luca would never abandon everybody and go to an island. You know, who feels about the same way. Besides me is Mark Hamill. Luke skywalker. I'll tell you. I was very upset. You seem him doing interviews. He actually said it. He was he was at Ryan Johnson. The guy director that. Yeah. He was like, look he would never do exactly what you said. And it's a bummer. I wanna keep his happy. But I was bummed. I thought he should've went out like Ricans like just like just really gangster. Like in other words. I wanted him to show up get that if you wanna put him on island redeem himself get at us the force get the water out of that. X Ray that's been sitting in that water for that extra fighter. What is it waiting? And I wouldn't know. Those wing x wing that thing sitting in the water get that out of there for with a are really do some damage with all that our you the boost powerful Jeneid ever go out that way, forget about the m night Sholom on ending that nobody cares about. And listen just before we get right back to every action. There's a new Disney app coming out, and it's going to have a show called the Amanda Laurean on it. Have you heard about that? I have I can't wait for it. It sounds amazing. So I just wanted to give you what happens in that show. And they all stand around and agree there. Kylo Ren stinks. Stupid bad guy with daddy issues. Awful. They really did do wrong by terrible. I didn't like what they did to Han. Just had trouble with his kidney left. Right. I don't want the force awakens. I thought that was a good one for jar jar being out hate the whole franchise. He's the best. Let's get back to wrong, by the way. The best thing scours did was the Star Wars Christmas special. Did you see that Roxanne? The Star Wars Christmas special. If you've seen that I think I have it was like nineteen seventy seven after the first one. And I think that no one knew what it was going to become a TV special with a show shoebox his home and his family, and they got more Campbell to do it all go online after this. I'm going to really destroy your love stores watch the Star Wars Christmas special on YouTube, or whatever I I wanna see if you can make it through it, you fought a great fight against Antonina is as their name Shevchenko, which I thought you deserve more than a split decision. But you'd be you did win the fight that this special will be harder for you to get through than those three rounds. Oh, man. It was. Roxanne you four you really fought awesome. You know? And I it going into that fight. You know, she's very know. She's very dangerous feed undefeated and has the it has to. I don't know if it would wear on you about her being the sister of the champ. I mean, so it's like, you know, what what was your thoughts going? You know when you first got matched up with her. My thoughts were I mean, I I like fighting strikers because I know that I can take them down. And you might get on them. So okay about that. And then they kept hyping her sister-in-law. And I was watching interviews and mostly Valentina talking and showing like her training. And I'm like are they they talk more about Antonio. You know, I thought that really using who's a lot instead of giving it Nina so much credit, but you know, John would my coach, and I watched videos of Antonina and saw that her quenchers really dangerous or kicks knees. And all that. So I man for like two months just drilled taken down southpaw. You know, I think my striking has improved. But on that so naive to think like a stranger. Oh. I'm not gonna do that very smart of you because some people with new tools, they get carried away they like knocking people out and next thing. You know, they're trying to knock out Chris Lytle when they're grabbing. I'm only that was me. But I love that one. No. But you get carried away with the people out. That I've grown over time. You know, I do wanna show that I'm not just grappler. You know, I I can't really and stuff and I'm decently accurate. You know? So I use my striking get in and did get take down and was able to do my thing. You know, you know, who should really take a page out of you a book is the doodoo fort. Greg hardy, listen, that's a perfect example was great charge from across the cage. And he did it while he was like looking for his context shake because he's looking right at the Florida. It was so brutal. It was it looks like the amateur hour. Dana was very upset about that fight. And I would like to see the nine guys that guy beef because that was there's one thing with the UFC jitters with that look like a guy that was his first fight first thing I'd say last. No, I think he actually had a couple of fights that he lost. He laughed for maybe a fighter too. And then I went back. So he, oh, but okay, but still fresh he looked scared. I think he's I I saw that fight. Not that actually did the fight. But I heard, you know, the commentary, and I thought man, I don't really know, Greg. Hurry that. Well, but I I wonder how he feels having his opponent just so much because I was reading the forums and people will like Disney like, oh, she got beaten by Roxanne's. She must suck. Like, hey. So I don't know. I feel bad about anybody. Getting just like, yeah. You don't you don't wanna see like, Greg hardy, and you win the fight. But everybody's bad mouth in your opponent. I thought when he was on the ground. He seemed like he was content to just cover up and have it stopped. But you get I won't question a guys courage, courage fights because I mean, I had the balls to do it. But I mean, it just seemed like in that world he should've probably done a little bit more to extend covered up and took it maybe many got hurt a little earlier, and we just didn't realize how badly I don't know. I don't know. Did you think? I'm sorry rocket decision over Antony. Did you think it was a decision? How did you feel when they when it became a split decision? I thought I had dominantly won the fight. I didn't feel endanger at all. You know? I didn't feel like any replenishes rocked me. And I thought that I you know, dominated the positions and all so I was like starting to freak out when I heard them start reading out the judges scores like all day, I gonna lose because I'm in Russia. Yeah. But you know, then I watched the fight, and you know, the kicks like kinda breathe by my nose. Like, it didn't really hit me. But it kind of looked like it could have. And I thought oh looks competitive. So you are not beset about once you watch the fight. Yeah. I mean, it looked like a good fight. But I feel like I should have gone the, but hey, I want so that's I'm happy. I I agree with you. Now that your first time in Russia. It was what did you do? You do anything to do out and see Saint Petersburg at all you have to the fight. I allowed myself three hours of sightseeing before the fight on media day cause in the past. I had made a mistake. I I felt in London. And I went for like today's I look everywhere was even so tired for the fight. So I I was like fell asleep before the fight. So I didn't want to do that again. So with my pile. We went around walked around saw that 'cause feet move. If you're this back and did business to curb business now, tell me about now you've been working with Mike pile. You have veteran an old. Of mine you've been wearing retire. Right. Did he stop fighting or no he retired? But man, he had a career he'd be working jitsu with him. Is that right? Absolutely. I asked him for some private sessions, and he really helped me improve my grappling game. He you know that guy. You don't Quinton Jackson Lee twenty twenty five years ago. Yeah. Seriously, Fordham ages ago. Yup. Yup. He told me, hey, are you now you you wanna fight cyborg next? Is that who you have? So I think seeded, yes. At least at least you're that was a great call out. I mean, you know, I mean, why not? Yeah. I I can't see you like trash talking people rocks. Could you please? Fight. You know, like, I wanna be interesting. You know, something I don't know. You started. I guess it was what two thousand three in your over in Japan you in school in Japan. I was taking. I majored in Japanese language and linguistics what an interesting major what like what in life made you want to do that. That's such like a random thing. It was did you just like Japanese culture, data Japanese guy. What was it that made you want to do that? I've I've always wanted to be bilingual. I thought the coolest thing in the world. And then I started watching Japanese anime, and I love their, you know, fighting spirit, and that culture, we thought oh, great not knowing it's going to be hard language to learn, and I really really hard to get flu, you know. But that was the cause how'd you doing it? You know, really good h e a decent level fluency, but not enough to like, go get a UN job or like little high paying jobs. So I ended up moving to Japan to teach English hoping to get more fluent. And it didn't quite work out the way I wanted to like I had a great time there. I just didn't get the translation jobs that I really wanted. Do you read it that place? What's it called Jiro? Is that euro or Jiro don't know how to say his name the best in the world. Not hero is on share Jiro. You don't who is? Maybe. Yeah. Yeah. Jiro? So you'd never ate there earlier. Mayor. I wanted to ask you stupid question and ruin the entire interview. There's a documentary the best sushi chef in the world. He's in a subway station in Japan. So she loves Japanese culture in the baby she she'd gone back to animate. Yeah. I like to talk about animate. What if you had to tell me that this is the view wanna get into anime watch. This is there anything you'd point out to me. Well, my three favorite enemy are really long. So like dragging buzzy when piece of Nado toe are my favorite and most inspiring enemy. But recently, the hot one is my academia, no, my haka demi-deuil is about a world where everybody has some kind of weird quirk or like UK superpower and some user power for evil. But some what it use it for good. So they have to go to school to learn how to be superheroes. So it's like cool like as if you know trained to be a fighter and go fight crime. It's about this kid's adventure learning. How to use this group hours, and it's really inspiring. It makes you want to power up and be awesome, which a mundane power that would some of them have. They all have different powers to have to be some that are just average like he's this guy's great at walk in a straight line. Shitty. Superpower. Let's see one girl can make things float by touching them and holding her breasts, and then she exhales fall down pretty awesome. That's a great power. Worst pow ever why hold your breath and make it float. And then just get out of there. Right. Watch them fall. When that's her second. We go ahead. Electrocute stuff. One guy can harden his hands to be like as hard to stone. To any them of the same power. Like is a whole group that hardens are hand everyone's power different genetic link to rocks dad's thing. Oh, okay. Now is in Japanese dubbed English. I think it's on Hulu subtitles I think it might be dub as well. As she had one more for us through those two. You said is any other one? Would you say? He said to. Oh, my hero. Could not go has always good. Was that? Anime? Atalay lissette. Did you ever watch cowboy bebop? Yes. How is that? So many recommended that. Yeah. Really good most people like it. I wasn't so into yesterday about it. But I don't like guns. So make sense. You said the ones you like your unusually long how how long are these movies or is it a series? It's a series. What is unusually long? How long has that? I think one piece has five hundred episodes. Why did you? Since college college. I started watching it. And I'm still watching it. It's still going or they all oh. I'm not sure I think it may still be going. Wow. Five have you seen them all from the beginning? Yeah. But I'm behind a little bit. I'm like a few years behind. Binge-watch them. Let a catch up Walking Dead was going through long. This is ridiculous anime. You can do anything though. Yeah. All right. Well, I'll give it a shot. I now I'm going to watch one episode of that. And you have to promise to watch the Star Wars Christmas special. Okay. Province. I hope it doesn't kill your love for Star Wars. Yeah. No took a hand watch. Watch like the droid one. Oh, droids the cartoon. Yeah. Good acute those things. Now, David not the cartoon. There was like a live action one like in the eighties or something droids the live called. I thought it was a cartoon. But now, I'm I'm gonna look at them. What do you got Jimmy while? Do you pay a lot of attention to the ranking? There's not too many names ahead of you couple of them our without opponent's. It looks like Jake doesn't have anybody where she might be going back to stroll. Right, but Liz car moosh, you have any thoughts. Then fight whoever, you know. I'm trying to let my coach match me up. You know, I'll I'm just giving anybody really I just wanna keep winning my fights go for another title run, if possible noble is or Alexis, or you know, I think one of those girls are above me. So whoever really, yeah. What do you think you need to do to get? We have heavy year tied with I guess followed the number six's out. Okay. With thought you are enjoying called retired. But you're not this is low six listed here. What do you think you have to do to get into token tension? I think I need to do something else standing and be noticed. And whether that be, you know, have a flashy fight over small talk somebody or I don't know. Who knows you? I'll do it for sure. I want to that. Yeah. I wouldn't either. I'm just not in good shape. So you you think that maybe if you if you win one fight spectacular fashion, and then call somebody out that might be the key. Maybe 'cause it doesn't do you think? So I don't know calling people on different schools of thought on. I mean, it is a business and they do want to sell the fights. And like when you look at like Kobe Covington against Kamara. And the reason that that's such a interesting fighters, they're both great fighters. But you know, they don't like each other. And there's been Adama's ity. We're now people wanna see Leon Edwards against Horry national because they had some matches because there's so many fighters in so many divisions. It seems like not that it's gotta be faked. But if there's a little back and forth, at least people have some kind of investment and seeing it for wish if that make sense, but having saying that having said that though she's a happy warrior. Yeah. She's to likable rocks. And you're the problem is you to likable. So I could say anything about anybody. Anybody taking it serious? But. What I can say is that you keep doing what you did last fight. And they cannot deny you. Okay. You're not denying that. Yes. Call them out happily Monday do that. Jimmy Clark moves like say, I would love to hug her after I choke her don't do that not happily. That's actually, not bad. I would love to give her a hug after I choke. I'd love to submit you'll Anna and then help her get up. That's not. Call him out nicely. That's all I take you back. That's right. Listen to Jimmy. Okay. Cool. All right. Listen. What was really nice talking to you Roxie? I think this is the first time we spoken to you. Appreciate you coming on. Yeah. Rocks. Have been on your show. Thanks for inviting me. All right, good. We look forward to a follow up where we have a full review of the Star Wars Christmas special. Let's not like it. Thank you, take your PK Roxie by it. She's so it's weird. Like, she's obviously such a huge towers. I'm amazed the people of George Lucas, George Lucas. No. No, no. But I mean it was yanked. He tried to scrub the internet of that. He's so Barras by Biard through is in it. It's fucking to have you seen it? You're talking about seeing the clean opens up to Bacchus family. It's the worst film. You know what? The what the worst thing ever film, by the way for the record. She Roxanne and Josiah Calderwood are tied for that was correct. Six was missing. I know I. But then I I like is there really to ties and that division Lauren. Murphy, Jennifer, my are also tied. That you walk adventure. Did you what how could I miss? No. I hated the e walk. Shut up. No, no. But you dolls. Stay game of thrones. Yes. I did. How great is it? Just whatever skip a couple of minutes every day. I watched I've been watching it live this year. I gotta say last night's episode this week. The battle is dead. Army is one of the best episode. I've ever seen anything. However, they shot at too dark, and everyone's TV looked like it was fucked up where you will get a little confused sometimes to track into flying the puck into each other's dragon, man. What like I mean? I don't want to give it away people out of seen it. But like just certain things with the threat in the flaming swords disappear. I love it. Some of what they were saying, by the way like it. Maybe they shot it fine. But then once it goes onto like the demand stuff like they downgrade the quality little bit. So whatever they do. It was like it was pixelated trying to watch dragons fucking fight pixeleted. I'm like what's happening? Some of that shit in the sky was like almost like a like a portrait. But it didn't look good because it wasn't the way it might have been during the transfer. It was getting blotchy like almost like when you put something in portrait mode into kind of fades out the back. I was like what the fuck are. They doing shirt on that. I watched it on all the cool shit. But I couldn't see the cool shit. I was watching. It's almost like I wanna see cool shit. See if you watch a boxing matches picks lady, you watch it a great fight. But it's pixelated. I love the episode. I like the absorbed so much, and it was so much fun. And you know, where they go from here. I have a few in the next episode. And I hate when shows do this is gonna be a table setting for the final two part. That's my guess it's gonna be boring. I haven't. The next one is just going to be like, you know, we have two together we have to fight sick of that shit. Does feel like the rest of the I mean without giving anything it does feel like there's going to be a lot more like less battle more like political game. You know mind that don't make it boring. I don't need to see another wedding. I don't give a fuck if this one marries that one that one, you know, I'm you'll came shut up. Just like, you know, have a good time watching it too. I loved it. Yeah. I did too. Jimmy. Let's talk about we got to go over or picks. No, did you do you pick them my pick? I did get my picks on the way to the had a horrendous that was on the right to your weight. I know I was like I didn't wanna bother you out shooting. I texted you a couple of times. She was on the plane yet of the guy got it in right on time. I was I'm bummed about one of my picks. 'cause I know where I wanted to go with my heart. Why went with my heart? And I also believe that Mike Perry talking about I love my Perry. We had a great interview on the show because of the way he was sounding. He sounded amazing. But it was almost brought this up to Roxanne. We were just talking to her. When I went into striker against a guy who so good on the ground or woman who so good on the ground. I'll almost always go with the absolute dominant fighter on the ground. Because for me. It's just too hard to prevent somebody from closing the distance and getting a hold of you once due to stay on. Only because I know I'm going to use it because he's actually sums it up perfectly. I was watching. I was watching the fight with Dana, and you know, Chimi right up at the cage side, monitor you know, sure, they TV seats seats. So I'm talking to him when the fight was over. He goes. He goes, you know, he he four very mature. He did. And that's about as as that that that's sums it up. He fought not just like about area, and he was savage, but he was yet. He was smart like in other words, he didn't just go nuts. When he when he would he felt the adamant trouble. He's being measured. A little reserved when he had to he was stalking him. When he looked like he was going to be in trouble overtake down or a when. Cowboy was looking to take his back up against the cage. He played it smarter back gigie escaped. And he was he was just he was you could tell that his fight from what he's been through your got higher hired and higher higher. And he's fighting like that and Kelly look great to cap those all of our looking really good. He didn't know what a fun fight to watch. It was wild, man. He's a good shin too. Because I mean, I remember cowboy was landing on them. Like, boom, boom, boom. And I believe it came down to that third round. And man he had him pinned up. EM did some good work on the floor on the floor. Where people were worried about Perry. Did exactly I mean, if you listen to the interview we did with him last week. He did exactly what he said. He was going to really defend the take downs and take his time pick spots, and he did it throughout the fight was listening to some of the interview it might Perry on here the other day, and I liked what he said as far as he didn't feel like himself. Some people think the grass is always. Greener as far as with these big camps. And I'm not shooting at anybody. 'cause great. But it really is about chemistry. It really is about what's best for you. So just because this place might have, you know, this guy that guy in the other doesn't we meet meet as best view. He's I remember him saying that he felt it was more of Cowboys aronie verse Jackson, wink. And he felt like he was just like, yeah. He didn't feel like he didn't even be part of that. He and I don't know if it didn't feel like him. And then when you seen what I mean, I seen clo- first of all day-night video of it. It was so fucking great. When when. Perry walked in hold on my shit out. What Perry will did a cage. Right. And he's waiting for cowboy to come out. And Cal me elevator is dancing in this gut that music on. So that you see him. And now Perry David didn't show. I'm sure on the show on the on the on the TV. He was dancing in the cage to it. But he was dancing to the cage to it. And then you look to the left, and it's cowboy getting changed his clothes off. He's dancing, and it was like a fucking dance off. It was it was it was so entertaining. Jane actually got a good visit. He put like this five entertaining before it even stall, dude, I keep it up. I didn't shit. Oh, it was great. It was so great. And then he got the tail end of it. 'cause I was like look at this. This is fantastic. I'll tell you this. What I'll tell you this might Perry. And I'm so happy that he's fighting's a smart as he is. He's an entertaining Lewis. This was going on. But he, but he was caught the end of the, Dan, it's just all but he was going off. He was he was going off and see. Now, you got him just being more pumped up. But the whole time he was dancing. It was that that's the end of it the whole time. He was and he was he was he's got some good moves. Yeah. It was fun. Oh, did you got? I guess you saw with EON McLaughlin. What do you wanna start from because I can go whatever, we're timing. We're talking about the Mike Perry key cabinet. We could go over the picks, by the way, Perry said he had a horrendous way cut. I mean, he was talking about it when we talked to him. And he said, it was a horrible wakeup really looked great. He looked picks cowboy up through on his hand. Like, I mean, he. He looked. Do you think knows he guy who should move up at all has he had other way cuts that were hard form? I think I think it's not the easiest thing for him normally. But I mean, he's he's a one seventy that's where he looked up to one eighty five would be a big. Yeah. Well, so anyways this Jimmy you've already lamented that you had Callaway Lavera by second. I wanted bikes. I like a lot so happy. I was happy to be wrong. Yeah. Would you did say on the show? And then me and mad both had Perry by second round knockout, which he came close to doing maybe. But he ends up getting the the, you know, how much fun to watch though. He's just everything this fight with this white was like a like a like a book and superhero fight so cool. Yeah. Great characters man both characters and and the both super the taming both dangerous and a lot. I see a lot of people thought might Perry was outgunned. Then I think if he fought similar some other fights fought he might have been outgunned. This was a new and improved. Mike parry? Sure. Why are you happy for him? Cowboys stock doesn't go down long, and you need that. I think to win a title you have to be able to because I give a ground fighter standing up a better shot than a striker on the ground. I don't know why just as many way too many mistakes, you standing up, you know, just don't get hit. Doc. It's easy to say. But you kind of on the ground. There's so many fucking mistakes. You see people make that one hundred let me ask you quickly star who gave up the oh he wanted to up the fucking give up the gave up the the back in the neck trying to get up to clubs to grow. Yeah. Glove. Him quick when it got to the ground. I I was just gonna ask about cowboy Lavera. Do you feel like he his biggest problem is that he has a hard? It seems like he has a hard time sticking to a game plan. Like, he goes out first round kinda sticks to it. And then he's he's just a wild guy. And he just kind of goes in there. I think he he views from all he's not guys out. He's in. He's also very dangerous with this mission. So yes, well, rounded guy might be one of those guys just take you where where it goes. Yeah. Glover by the way, that's one of them the fucking most beautiful chokes I've ever seen that was just devastating. It was more beautiful than what he did. Right after the fight. Did you see that? No. What I sent you? What did you send me semi clover? Whatever you can to picture. Well, anyway, we're bouncing around a little bit. But we can go to the global e kouteh lobby fight. Jimmy, you add Kutai lobby by second round knockout. I also had that and Matt Serra right on the nose Glover to share a second round submission, choke. Wow. Choke him out. He's a big guy. So I'm talking today. There was also I felt a sweaty arm. Come around my neck. It was Glover. That's so funny. He's such a nice, dude. Yeah. And I was really happy for him. And if you seem to fight when. E own. I want you on one when he walked right? I mean, it's funny. So sitting with Dana, and he goes, he goes man, who is the ways the commission for that. Whereas the, you know, the was the Redcoats would he go the check it's the security the fuck. That the commission for that. What he walked right up into his face. And he did the fucking nut next thing. But he was almost nose to nose where he did it to Dana now fucking allocated. Okay. Did at the data out of the you saw he walked up to two Glover didn't show that on the thing. Maybe they did. I didn't catch. All. Yeah. I actually I didn't watch it like straight through. Walked right when they were nounce them. So they're now. His name. Own and he walked he walked you want. Okay. It worked right up to his face did the old throat cut the sad made even like when they do stuff. Like, I don't like when they enjoy Bruce buffers announcer. I don't like I love junior. I don't like when he walks in points at the ground junior juniors. It's funny. He's like very theatrical for a guy. That's like, you know, an amazing boxer yet. I don't necessarily like I don't like Jok arrays fucking. I don't like the alligator clap. We don't even like Charles all of our dancing on the way in on Alex are sorry. I don't like it. Johnny walker. You like when he does. No. I don't got hurt. I love him. I don't mind it. Yeah. I'm probably just addicted though, why the dick, but I'll tell you eight me Glover to bed spitting back. This man, we clean it was clean. And I and I'll tell you. He was it was a tough first round. But then what a beautiful second round, man. I love ju jitsu when he got that take down. I was going nuts in I was going fucking and saying do you think he accidentally like you to do is act like he was on top of him. And he had a billion full mount. Do you think he made a mistake that left the other guy? What do you think you give them a little room on purpose to do what? Now to turn around and give up his back and try to stand up. I think that that. Juan. He you know, he gave up his back. None of want to punch the clover. Gave him a little bit of room to turn over. Yeah. Sure. I mean, you know, he was famous giving his such good control. And that's a nice thing to do me tried to back out underneath them too. Didn't he? Mature. I mean, he didn't work. Yeah. He got it on them. Know, we got mounted and that was, you know, downhill real fast. So congrats the glove of man dude's thirty nine years old performance of the night gets an extra fifty K. That's great, man. That is great. I picked that one wrong, and it will going up it. But you know, you. Oh, well, yeah. You had global correct second mission that we might as well go to the top of the car, then or the whatever the first Roberts against Thomas Gifford has an incredible chin. Yeah. I mean, he took a lot of shots. Yeah. I think if you did you'd Gifford by second sub Jimmy you at Roosevelt by second round Saban. I had resolve Roberts by decision. Which is what all of Robert's does have a fucking superheroes. Name. He. Yeah. He's fun to watch. Yeah. I mean that was great fine. Those times giffords debut so trillion made a great showing. Then this one. This was a great fight auto, very impressive, Corey Santa gin, and John Lineker foreign fight, man. Lineker's Lineker misses a lot to try to close distance. Yeah. He fucking. He throws knockout punch every punchy throws body. Up top landed. Exactly Corey had a put his hand right on his chin. And some of those that came up hit him right on his hand. Like, it's good thing. It a very good defense. He had a really good range Corey and more than I thought maybe he'd be more on his heels, and he was all over the place. But it was he was very accurate could fight man. Really? It was a good fight. Congrats the Corey Sagan. Yeah. That's a big win for him win kid. You guys both had Lineker by decision. And I'd San Hagan by I knock on. I actually thought he was going to go. I thought he was going to be very aggressive, which I know it's kind of a bowl picks. He's never been finished. But I thought he was going to do kind of what he did. I mean Lineker's just real any unranked to Lineker's like number eight. Yeah. Yeah. I can I closed the rankings. But yes, San Hagan was not ranked. I'm pretty sure. And then Lineker's in the top ten definitely. But. Hold on. Let me say actually. She also bring up Jamila is performance. One hundred percent. Yeah. That was the other performance of the night. Lineker was number eight. Yeah. And then Corey wasn't ranked. But you gotta figure he'll be in the touch when the new rankings come out Jamila, really quick. Yes. Sure. Mentioned that. Jamila performance of the night. The feeding chasing Gonzales by red naked choke round one. You know, I did not see it because I was on the way over there. So. Play it not. Ending man. Oh when he something. Great jimmy. So I got to the airport, right? And. I realize you know, you feel you forgot something Jim. Yeah. Feeling. Sure. You usually, right. We have a feeling he forgot to our condom. So I forgot my ipad. Oh, no. Where hotel. So it's kinda disturbing because you do. Left and my my wife called when I was on the plane, and this and that she got him the Senate over that the credit card, but you know, what really sucks they have to take the. The is the reason why forgot it 'cause it's usually in the bed with me. You know, watch shows going. I do other things before I go to sleep as shows and quo. Exactly. So that's what was going down with me. You know? And so so Jimmy. Yeah. It was in my bed. And the problem is when my wife's ago, they asked for the code so I- code because the make sure it's really my type of thing like the pay the opening-up. Can they just say what pictures on the front? I would never have given my coat just hold it off fly back. I know Jimmy I hope they don't look in my history. Here's the of the the Jim Miller this with like three thirty left the oh shit. Jim Miller, man. All right. Jim is God is back. The most standing always going for the hens always going straight. Oh, no. He doesn't wanna put that hook in. He's looking for the is even do it. He's gonna kick off his strolled onto that guys. Not bad. He's good at taking the back. That's so rarely extremely dangerous. I think was his nineteenth win to the USA. Wow. This is great. Velocity. Triangle? Now, he's oh that that's the wrong guy to have in your back like that the remaking choke on him. That that looks dangerous. Got him. Jimmy, boy, does he have them. Oh. While. Family. Yeah. I actually think that was the first time as kids were a fight. I think I read I'm not sure it's beautiful. Yeah. He's. I like I like that Jimmy sucks if you lose though, I'll be prepare them for it. Jimmy, you prepare the kids first time people might have had, you know, who knows fucking his Gonzalez's had his kids to we actually when we talked to Ellen job in the last week or the week before whatever that was the first time he's bringing his his son to the fight. And he ended up losing by split decision. Which was yeah decision here. He was annoyed about that, obviously. But then he showed his son how to walk out and handle loss the right way. I like Joe Beatty was upset though afterwards. I I think sodas kid lose on the on the little league ball. What are we got guys? We got Greg hardy and. We all had hardy. Yeah. We all hardy by first round knockout, correct? Yes. Hardy look good. I mean, let them Dimitri look pretty bad. He came in hardy to his credit. I mean, obviously, the you could say what you wanted about his opponent. But but hardy did come in looking much better shape showed good cardio show. He was good. But Thomas in his corner. Yeah. Dimitri is that? Yeah. I don't know what he should do standing any given on a fight or no give them a no, well doesn't have a contract you give them a pink slip. I don't know. I'm just guessing. But I I don't care. I can't see that guy calling back that was that was that was just weird. Yeah. What what was the what do you think the data's? That was weird. It is weird. Fuck guy got hit before traps the size of your fucking head. Jimmy these big surprise. I mean, he must have been rocked. Obviously, he was rocks. When he went to the ground, but for guy with his kind of grappling Baghdad you'd think you'd be able to grab onto something. But he didn't let me just kind of eat it up. Greg hardy monster though, he might have really heard him at one point. And we just didn't I just as much about in the main event, nobody is getting out of that show that guillotine the way the way he got I was watching that thing like a hawk and they move his legs away. Is that what he's doing put it back on for the yet? I was do you wanna see just the end of this the Greg hardy fight or are? We can. Yeah. Why? Because look at the size of Dmitry. He is a giant guy. He yeah. He is. He looks like a little bolder organ there. I mean, he is really fucking big like almost he looks like he's almost too big. If. Like duties that uppercut gets thrown it real rocks, obviously. And then he fell down and he's just covering up. He's not trying to do anything of in covering up. Good job picking his spots here too. I mean, he didn't just like empty the tank out found. But it shouldn't be doing something. Matt, you're just. Cold pistons management, here, you gotta you gotta it's about keeping the guy to closer to far covering up. And you're not doing anything, you're low body to create any space or your upper body to clinch him than basically just the pungent Bangui veteran to do what he just did. It's one thing if you have to keep your hands in front of your face in a transition. But if you staying there almost like staying there up against their cage doing that. It's not a good thing. And it's not like you could fight back effectively of your back. So I wanna see that strangle it we know what round that was second. I was it. Okay. I'm not sure. But I'm pretty sure because I'm gonna be like, you know, he survived that early. Now, the second round was a lot of him just in the in the card that the first thing we'll go Manson was great. He was so good on the ground. And he took this on short notice. Yeah. Yeah. I guess three weeks or so maybe April third. I think he took the fight. Okay. So this is the first. Yes. He must get it. Because you all dropped out. Right. Yeah. You got pneumonia. Man. I wanna see him get out of that. True. I don't think. Oh, sorry. It was the first one Sommese. How he did that man? I wanna see that shit. I mean, that's that. Yeah. Off you reminded enough. Did you know Chris coming I delete? Look, I know he's got him in it. You can put the sound on if he wants yet. But. I interesting. So like he knows it catches. He's trying to get rid of that. And he's going to turn into him. This is not. I'm not even saying this is the right way to get out of this is fucking crazy. Like that looks it looks like he could snap his neck the other way. Look, it's weird. But now here he lives at position jock. Right. Wasn't having it. I love it, man. This is fun. This was a fun fight. Yeah. That's why they must have been close with a fighter tonight this this. And the my Perry, you know. Yeah. I was a little bit more pain a little bit more. But this was fun. Yeah. I that's good enough. But the way he got out of that choke. He's getting ninety ten guys with that. Yes. You know, once he got branch. I mean once you watch him finish a guy who's as great as ranches jock was in trouble there. Like got out of that. I mean, it's like if he can do that the branch arguably could do anybody, and he was real close on jock on the SU Hermansson. What is his record? And what's his age? He's twenty seven these young guy. Totally. I dunno. I thought that young. But I know I know joggers thirty nine he's thirty Jack. Okay. And that I think is fourth on row. Yes. So he's twenty and four fourth in a row and the only two losses in the UFC. Otherwise, he has he's seven and two now. Lucie. He lost to save fajita. He got submitted and Orrin triangle, choke actually fajitas really good on the on the ground. And then he got knocked out by TI goes Santos, which you know, anybody get knocked up with yoga. Yeah. Arresting Trumper because we got about ten minutes. Yes. You do to Jimmy. Do. We want to say how how we did hear what the the picks. And then you know, how I did. So I went to for five you went to for six four points. Matt Sarah, three for six seven point seven points. I must hit one right on the head. You did you had to Glover and Greg hardy and then Chris Peterson went four for six eight points for this month. Jim is six for sixteen with twelve points me and Matt are tied eight for sixteen. I've seventeen points Meta's fifteen. So there we go. I took a beating this month. Yeah. Not your best. So what is what is the points for the month the points for the month twelve fifteen seventeen Chris's winning your second? And I'm fucking third third is if you don't win you learn that's right. Neither Jimmy still in the lead overall though. So we, of course, we'll talk about that potty break football's a game. But it's not about a collection of talent. It's the building of a team. And how those teams come together is really important. And that's what I've learned from Walsh. That's what I've learned from Davis. And I really learned it from Bill Belichick. Hi, I'm Michael Lombardi. My new podcast is the GM shuffle. And I am going to take you inside the game. And you're gonna learn about football. From a unique perspective football is chess on grass, and I think I understand the chess game subscribe on apple podcast radio dot com or wherever you get your shows. Trevor Wittman, Chris what did you want to discuss? I anything particular before Trevor. Oh, yeah. Just real quote Pollock. What? Yeah, he didn't sheet per se. I mean, you know, it was just he was getting stomach medicine through an IV, and you're not allowed to do that. But the medicine you're allowed to take. So well, he got to Ivy like any saline, drip walk. I don't know. I don't know how the no. But they did an investigation this before the awas Ben bocce fight in November excuse me in June twenty seventeen and then also before the Johny Hendricks fight in November twenty seventeen. I don't know how it came back around. But he's allowed to take the saline solution and the medicine that he took for the nausea or whatever stomach, but you're not allowed to use an IV. So you got a six month suspension for that? Which is over they made no contests or no, no. I don't think they they don't Kate to win. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Now, what does the anti nausea twice having an issue with it? As you have equilibrium problems in the I think that's what he was talking about. So like that cost like said that the reason why he couldn't fight Romero or or why he had a problem with decided was that he took this plastic or whatever which was a nausea medication, which is true. But I think he left out the part where he got two issues, and I'm a little drummer name. Why is he taking it before two fights? And why does he want to take it before third fight? Well, no, I mean, the IV is because of the wake up I mean, the the stomach. Yeah. I don't know. He might have only done it in one one of those ivy's. I'm just saying like it was. I see okay. To that. But didn't say that it was an IV, which is okay. The problem. So but the stomach medication is, okay. Yeah. Both things the IV is fine. It's legal thing. You just can't do it before fight, you know. So anyway, so you got to spend it. But that I think that's expansion is up it finished in on February retroactive, right? Yeah. So anyway, I can't wait he twelve and all that. I remember record. I really wanna see him fight again. Yeah. He's been out for a little bit of a little bit. Now. That's how many four was in New York like beat your hall. No. That was in Vegas. But yes, we were twelve. Yeah. We talked about him at a Sonya. But in the time he's been off on the sun is really skyrocketed. What's he ranked cost? I could probably want ignore my laziness, I'll look at my own sheet right here. He's seven who. Do I wanna see next? Now. Luke rock hold is moving so outta sign. Your Whitaker's the next fight. Jacques arrays number four guest limb. Number five Wiedeman and Pollock ASTA. Who does cost a fight next when he comes back. We'd Wiedeman would be an amazing fight. Yup. Romero's live one that they've been talking about for a long time been trying to put that together. Yeah. But he keeps getting the first with you orbital bone, and then what what did he have less illness? I think he hasn't ammonia UL. I don't know how he's doing now. But then cost I had to pull out because of this whole, you know, so it was a. It's been hard to put that together. But we'll see what happens that would be great fight. How many times Romero has had problem? Wait more than once. Was it? The only time. Yeah. Ramirez had I think two in a row actually his last two. He's age trigger Whitman. Is he talking about narrow nineteen seventy four okay shit. I'm getting old Jimmy so me to do almost the new by six years. You look good. So you thank you. Jimmy miss. Wait. I should've said that. I know she said, well, you know. And you're smiling. Like you didn't want to say. Jimmy. All right. Listen, I think we should I can't wait to see him again. Who Pollock often? We do. I like him. I wanna see you a whole fight again. I love you riot. We as your whole, oh, do we have Trevor on the phone? Hey, Trevor you're talking to Matt Sarah and Jim Norton on unfiltered. How are you? Welcome guys doing great. How about you tell Trevor you would just in Fort Lauderdale. If us I was air, and I feel bad because I was gonna walk over. I think we made I contact once. And then I was going to go on here, and I don't wanna into worked anybody right there. What's that? They're having a good time. And we we kind of time new and having a good time ball go. You have such a good. That's such a sweet geeky. You got there with that analysts work. And I love I love hearing you either. Critique just in a comment about the corner work. I think that's very very smart because that's what I'm doing that home all the time myself long ago. We're like listen to that fucking advice. Not kidding. But how did that come? How did that come about? Trevor you don't get a call from vacuum. You have this idea. Then we're talking about it and. I mean, they they wanna bring in something different just because like on FOX when they used to be on FOX. They wanna show the corners. So they're ESPN Beal going to be the same thing, so pay per views it fine because they're showing the corner. Like, let's bring someone in. And we came, you know, get someone just to talk about what they're saying here in their own if there's something that's really good or or might be a little out there. If someone talking about it. So let's give it a try came out there, and I've been trying to clean from the hidden Finn. You know, now, I can tell you a drama free guy, and you're very likable. Trevor we've been around each other for a while now at the fights and stuff. So I can't see you bring in drama. But this is the thing now doing this like having the job that you have it's only been a little bit. But have you had he buddy any corner come up to you? And be like this is what I met by that. I'm not only getting but have anybody approaching that and been like? And been like. You know, they didn't like I have I have money. I've actually heard a lot of corners come up to being especially Mace's to me. Yeah. I feel like there's motive behind it. But no, I don't I don't think. So I mean, I I I was talking with a New York Sierras like, hey, man. I feel like the best thing to do is say good or bad. Let me just pock about it. And then if there's something that I would do differently. Let me say that sense. And I think we were on grants. But if there's something that's really really out there. And you know, the main thing is that just want people to know when I'm teaching this type of thing. I would not be in the position I'm in right now without making so many mistakes. I mean from meeting mouthpieces m my lap trying to hold around in the world championship fight with Phillips in boxing. I mean, I remember him looking at me defending in the corner and looking to voluntee- and saying that over and over at the corner that face and I'm like look at them. And as I go to put the mouth in his mouth. I'm like, you'll never happen again, and you need to go through palm like that. Where like you? You know, when I've made by in Mexico that came because I didn't stop if I in the WB I was menu parole, but he actually punctured his lung, and we didn't make way because we took it up three days notice, and he went through so many issues that I should have thought that I almost out of under the die and those things or just what you get through experience. So I'm never out there to say doing it right around. I still have fun every night as as a coach. And every night is different. You never know what to expect. And you can't say that they're making a mistake. If you've never been to situation before it's more just like, how would you handle it? What else could you do? And really that's what I wanna talk about is try to educate people through experiences I've been through. So who am I to be out there saying wrong? I got that stuff. Anybody thinking they're out their mind because I'm the first minute, man. It's all my my mistakes that I've made is is is for the reason why I'm in this to this. Now, I have to perform just like the athletes. No what what have you seen? You don't have to say who said it would you consider really bad corner advice like when a fighter's like would like things that you've seen the roof. That's not how I would have him. You know, why it's it's more of a fighter you can tell that. They're they're not in the fight. And they're looking for something. And the in the coach looks at them like come on. You gotta want this shit the face. She like that like, you know, right despite a once away, but when someone is just a step ahead of him and everything that they're doing and there's no technique, even if it's the wrong fucking tech me give them something to think about because their life. And when you're in a fight. It's Matt, you know, this very well. When you're in finest way, it's very hard to think you almost feel like scatterbrains. Are we still people wanna learn what Friday like in a in a in a better sense of not getting killed? Let someone bitch slap you while you're playing chess over and over and see how good you can think what your next move and the key. That is like how how if you can give them. Information. It's hard for them to recover their selves when they're when they're out there, you know, getting smashed and a lot of times I quarters out there saying, hey, man, you want this shit. But if you don't want it gives them something inspiration. What do they fight for the killer? What what's gonna pump them up and take him out of it or? You know, sometimes people say, hey, slapping, the corner is a bad thing. Sometimes I'm like, there's never a bad thing into the paint on what it does for that affects every athlete is different. And that's why it's hard for me to critique the corners. Because a lot of times there's a connection there that you guys have and they can speak code, and they knew two hours each of this. There's there's a lot that I can't speak about and I won't speak about no formulas because I don't have to Stanton. Now, I I felt that I felt that both I felt that a lot during my fights have Longo or hens. Oh, and Longo in particular. Tell me something like listen up against the cage. What about that elbow? What about that certain things where I'm like where I felt like especially between rouser you trying to digest. What is the fighter? Like all. Right. You trying to digest what just happened? Sometimes you might have had a great round. And you think about the the the new interface that happened rolling? Meanwhile, you one it's hard to digest what happened. And that's another thing that I think the corner has to be good at is kind of give you a quick summary. Be honest and kind of keep your head in the game by giving you some clear cut advice. Whether it's you could at that single. You have to go forward or fake that singly go for the right hand, give them something. Because if they have nothing, and you say Amy, do you want it? I I understand what you're saying. Of course, they want it. Finder up. I'm head coaches that when when I was fighting they would piss me off more than I learned in do from me. You you'd saying fucking like I had a coach told me I love every and every time I win the fight. Like, I'd still win the fight. But I love every round. I look at it. Like this like he had to be able to connect you say the coach about Reagan. I consider him best because his boxing, though, it is just so fucking good. And again, you could hear the energy in it. Sometimes he's super smooth. Sometimes he gets high energy pitcher hardly ever gonna. Here's a high energy come outlets as needed. You are a co-pilot to the guy who's driving car. You are in the car. You gotta think that there's danger here. And you've gotta be able to help him out from fight Putin willing to is out in the line and take full credit. When an athlete loses. Then you're not taking the fucking dangerous with his fighter. Yes, there's trauma to like that that the five was taking. But it's the credibility that the coach it take. And then the fighter fighting win. They sent back and don't take no credibility. That's what I love about. Hi, level coaches and Ray Longo speak sex, not to he's so fucking didn't tell him I 'cause he's booze. Sure. Well, hey, buddy. There was a lot of criticism of who's rock hill pennington's coaches after that after round four where she said, hey, look, I don't want to coach you could do it. Now is that something you think was fair criticism? Was that one of those codes that could be were a fighter and a coach kind of know how each other communicates. And he understood think they was unfair people to criticize her coaches for that. You know, it's it's hard to say again, I'm not in there with her. I, you know, a lot of times fighters like say that every time I like fuck, I'm capable Mason negative. I had one guy negative every four to go back like a profession, but if they're broken they're not winning the fight. I think the best time to look at stopping fighting someone who's earlier in their career and they're not at their last couple battles. If it's the last couple of battles that might be a little little different than as your last chance for world championship. I I don't know if that what it was it was a championship. I never been a five under different. You know, there's things that go into play with that. Plus, they were new coaches to with one or two I remember and a lot of times coach about five. I don't wanna get fired right away. But I always say think about the fighter your children, would you allow your fighter to go back in there for that? And one of the most important things you remember when you're thinking about stopping the fight Ford f we is. He's been more damage to mentally. And that's the hard part for a fighter. They're getting asked to they feel like they don't belong in there. Tough fucking battle will take the steam out of a fighter, and if you have a fucking war where you're not man, you're fucking after you for fucking six weeks after sometimes, hey, man, I'm gonna pull the plug on this and also take charge, and and and stop this fight. So that way you go out there and be confident in their next fight, and you can make the excuse for the fight of whatever this come up with fucking shifts but take their back on that. And don't allow them to just go out there get smashed gives fucking humid for everybody, and they'll the jump in. But again, that's every every scenario every every fight is different. And it's really up to the cokes to to care about the ethics of make sure that they can they can make money in this sport. And sometimes pulling out of a fight will make them more money in the long run for their new and again and the lesson more time and and better fight in front of them for two or three. More fights and men and motor fight. But I mean, that's just the guiding. But every situation is different. I can't really comment on their opinion. And and you live it would probably be different. I probably become sure how they like because I'm feeling the entered keep talking about the the mental state of just engage. He comes in. He was undefeated. I mean, so highly touted, and then he goes to a loss, and he handled it really well like a lot of guys their first loss. It seems to throw them off a little bit. What was his mentality like after that first loss because even in a loss? He's still, you know, everybody loves Washington fight. So how was his mindset after that first loss? Mindset was just really a purpose change. He really, you know, his mindset, I my favorite part about coaching is the mental part of it. And I really got into it just because I feel like that was one of the most important parts in combat sports because the injury and you have to build a catered to someone and make them believe that they can still win. If I'd coming off of injuries going into fights. Because many fighters has not knows goes into fights injured. So you're going in there, you know, and you don't got all your tools, India rink certain level KT is a different fucking do. This guy's got a mindset that honestly, I really feel like he could go on in life without having fighting that he fucking love the fight. He loves it. He loves everybody it you'll be back in the back room in the locker room, but people like. This shit and every fucking making it up. I thought so long. He's fucking mended talking shit that don't I ain't scared. I this he has blast. And in the fight with any Alvarez. She got comfortable. We got killed him. The eddie. Guard fight in that round. And it was all because he life is CNN not to take anything from Eddie that up. The middle was per time on some place. He threw two bodies off to hoax. I open up the technical parts behind there. But day to relax after that fight. It wasn't like he really wanted to change. We always talk about it. And he's a great defensive fighter. The guy just likes the fuck and be in the heat of the door. He likes to see people's faces looking at him when he's taking them under water and the second fight when when he had Duston, and he's like the same thing he comes up to the corner. So I look at him. I look at me. Here. There's like you have. He says the quarter that as it somewhere came up. And I was like he's like I'm having a fucking blast. And I'm like would you can continue to body like your body the body, and he goes out there? And actually what I ask for those two the fuck monkey. So the body Charlton down he gets countered because again, he was relaxed through. And I think him he was like I was thinking about getting hard thinking about religion. And I'll tell him sometimes we need that hired your body's gonna do stuff that sub consciously just keeping us going to a fight and Jetson can fight that way. But again, he doesn't his heart as he does when he's on that gas pedal 'cause he's running red line if he fights spots not so he really focused on fighting bonds still being exposed to still having is is is pressure has they've on people. But knowing that if you're going fine grounds know that you're gonna you're gonna have to fight spots and fill the guy you're gonna be. More accurate because he's so for it so damn hard. And he loves the fight. It's taking the fight Adam a little bit and making sure that he conscious and cockatoo yourself to to get him. If again, I'm not I'm the co-pilot make sure you're not hitting red Redline. No fight. Well, did you do anything differently recently? Because I mean these back on track it back all the MAG pull them back and made them fighting spots. And he's actually more cancers about balancing in his shoulders. He's not leaning forward. You've got more balanced level silvers, which is making a more rangy, which is better. Because again, he's he doesn't the gym that wouldn't get into the fight. You dislike? He's chaotic which then it's here. I am the coach always kinda pull them back and I'm a fan too. 'cause like eighty so fun to watch. He's having so much fun. I'm having fun. I mean there need he just a unique guy. He's been just a pleasure to work with. And when he loses smell back in the back like this. He's like terms like the fight fucking like he cares. So much about five fan, and knowing that if you're on the main event, which is been on every time he thought you'll see he's got a show, and he cares. More about people getting their money's worth. And I feel that's why he makes it a little money in the US. 'cause he tells Dave every time it's either on the close the show for your permits. Honey, key matches up excuse me, the matches up with the the champ. How do you think you match could be? I think that is a great match for us. I think it's a it's a fight that his wrestling is so damn big. No one knows about it. It's almost hidden weapon. And he's he rented still still with to go to college. And he's he's got a very fun style of wrestling wash to plan super got he's like to conditioning party likes to Mark people out to know, what could be tired, and you're gonna really to say to be just because could be referenced just that high level. But he throws everything with is much attitude Cam. And the one thing that he's really good in Murphy. It's probably where he's not gonna play roughly back I made scramble hit you anytime on pre phrase. Let's say hesitations. Well, that's the biggest thing Trevor 'cause you know styles make fights. And I I've I've said this before on here. I mean, nobody I mean from what I see nobody's held down. Just engage who's held him down ever has ever been held on his back ever one time when he when he was playing for me. No, no, he live in hell down. He took a break. Like he was like laying with this. When it elbow the candidates and he put his head down. Like, I got mad. What the doing so bad? Twenty four. Yeah. That's that's shared that is. So he's so likable who does he fight next? Is haven't been lined up? Though, it only. I mean, it'd be he's I'll tell you. They gotta give them somebody update because not taking out James Vick. And at Bob owes a back to back the way he did in devastating fashion. I just can't wait to see. What's wouldn't wanna see Connor gay Chee? 'cause I quit is fighting cowboy who would not want to see Connor against just engage you. Yeah. That would be great. I would like to see that one. Also, the one thing that I don't like about that fight that, you know, getting build build writers bills, the recognition that's the great thing. But again, it's just said that the chaotic just is shit talk, and his it'll make data view that. Like, you said marry the likable dudes, and he's going to talk city. It's doug. Meets the class act. He wants a Representative family, and parents, and and when you when you got someone like. Making come out, and you know, swear and didn't want to be in front of the parents and just just make me uncomfortable him from outside of his self outside of the fight. I would love. But again when you have trust doc in Michael take anything from Connor because he doesn't the best. And I I'm entertained by it all the time that's involved on the glasses. Awesome. He does. But again just for data's purpose when going for and this is again he's out there to to face the best put on great fights. And gag do the talking with his hands. And how do you house rose doing we love rose, and she's fighting on drudge to thirty seven on may eleventh in Brazil and how is roses training? And and how is her her mind? Hey, everything is awesome. Were we're ready to leave next Monday. Twenty been great buying been great everything. With straight and campaign. The pay. I guess just 'cause such a good opponent. She deserves the the titles and man she is wrecking ball is so good at what she was cute so damn strong. So it's going to make face adversity. And I'm looking forward to those out there and facing the ears and didn't didn't didn't didn't you wanna say a chocolate to a bad way cut. I'm guessing was the second fight that went the distance. Or did she say she won that? No. I I way caca warranties. She won the fight. So what it is? She's she's a tough girl. I guess she's got a winning spirit, and it's hard to lose. And she turned really hard for that second fight. And she thought she wanted that just means that you've got a strong mindset because when you're in there on the fight like that. And you're still feeling you're you're winning around. That's a strong my girl, especially for dollars. Yeah. I'm always impressed by her toughness minutes, tough tough fights. And and she goes the distance. And she just she sharp all the time. I mean, eating Valentine's like that was sent to fire want so high level technical and the watch Email that at that level with that much technique is so cool to watch Margaret world where I come from. There was never really female, boxers that were like, wow. When you see, and there's so many girls that may that are just so technical so cool to watch. And now how much time do you spend one of my favorite people, Pat, Barry because he's really crazy. How much time do you spend with Pat, Barry? It's been a lot of time with him. And that you know, he he used to drink a lot and on no. Well, that's what that's what made him super-secret. He's got his high level energy. But he it's it's working with him. So freaking intelligent. And you know, he's he's everything full-bore. And now that he's stopped drinking, and like he is he will be making conversation. It's not from one subject to. Like when he talking techniques and strategies, it's like makes fourteen meal most in the world when before I think he was doing the right thing, we found one the other. And man, I'm I'm really enjoying the time fifties during like to not believe how much do you ever late elevated is coaching thirty. And I said backing on all the time what he's done with JJ. I mean, JJ Aldridge scat Girling gotten so much better than three site. Kirk technique and just her pressure in their last night. I know you offered but I was there to watch it. She hymns petrified. She was cracking. Macy Barbara, I was just so and he's doing really good with his efforts of what number the corner with those with with his important question. What does a person do when there is a drunk, Pat, Barry, how does one control drunk, Pat vary? You don't. Why didn't you tell me going to the bathroom and they got a big game? Like ebay. He was entertaining like your job and hurt the next week. And he's like if none of it wasn't like a bad thing as you're still funny, entertaining, no pun, but it's so much has changed so much. He's just on point and to me working with athletes. That's the one thing you have to be on point. All and you gotta be there for any moment. That's just I think that the the athlete deserves that, you know, when you're at the event, I don't feel the coach should be out there giving trashed and waking up with hangovers and and things like that. And not to say that he was, but it will start catching up to you feel it like I'm out here, cutting weight, and he goes out there fun. I'm always looked at it from that way. So it's like, hey, man, we're here to do a job. And then seeing him like that. I might checking myself, I'm like, two months. That's how much Jay's got. And has really impressed me in every area. I've really really really enjoyed votes. Well, thank you for talking with Trevor, and please tell Pat and rose we said Hello. We liked both of those guys so much. He's. All right. Trevor man, thanks to our. Thanks a lot Trevor Wittman shit. Take your. He's doing a great job. He really is me coaches to find people like that kiss his ass enough. In case, I'm on the that's fair. We're gonna corner it's very fair. We're gonna corner to two times this weekend coming up. Let's get thinking. That's right. You know, kiss this little bit against his fighters. Oh, he might be analyzing that ship. All I see Robin regional this weekend. Yeah. That's right. Yeah. Man. I'm so excited. Yeah. That's what Chris and I'll only Thursday. So be shows. Okay. What else? We got gentlemen, we covered everything covered. Everything. I enjoyed Roxanne a lot Trevor lot thankful to. But both first time on the show for both of which was great wrecks on the show. I don't think I thought she was. But then Chris. Her when I see her. Yeah. Well, listen, you know, you don't got a you don't got to leave. But you can't stay here with it. You don't have to go home. It's can't say, okay leave. You can't hear that meal. That makes those hero center. Could you on a one to ten that's his eurocents? Listen. It that out. No, let's keep it the humanity while I'm trying what it makes. It makes no sense to say you can't you don't have to leave. But you can't hear absolutely those. I've heard I've never heard of anything that made lesson Jimmy fifty years. It's true Jimmy zero cents. We'll welcome back. I know I know I know he was doing so. Well, I said that horrible saying that makes those Jimmy not as you don't gotta go home. And either do I, but we can't stay here is what I meant to say. All right. Let's see.
