NY AG Goes After Trump for Fraud

"I want to talk a little bit more about this attorney general because I don't even know how these people stay in business. How could the attorney general in New York sue the Trump administration? Let me quote something that she said. She said, mister Trump and the Trump organization repeatedly and persistently manipulate the value of access to induce banks to lend money to the Trump organization on more favorable terms than would otherwise have been available to the company. James said, this is, I think, let me see if this is at knucklehead. And it says to pay lower taxes to satisfy continuing loan guarantees to induce insurance companies to provide insurance coverage for higher limits and a lower premium. Now, if you ask me, it sounds like a good business strategy for you to convince them that your network is high. If you have to use certain measures to do so, and you can still be accurate at the same time. You can count this count that, use this, it's called negotiation. And what the attorney general is pretty much saying is that the banks are too stupid to do their own investigation. As if they don't do any investigation into people they give loans to. Like, this is going to give you a loan because you're Donald Trump. And if they're going to give you loans because you Donald Trump, then they were going to do it no matter what you say to them.

NY Times: Polls Often Understate Republican Support

"Here's what happens with polling. There are a couple of places where the polls are overly optimistic about Democrats. Everywhere else, they blow it with Republicans. And the bottom line here is that in a state like Georgia, where Republican voters are more skeptical of mainstream institutions and are less willing to respond to a survey if that's true, says The New York Times, the old gray lady. Polls will often understate Republican support until pollsters figure out how to fix the problem. "It was 27 years ago that the New York Daily News was a major player in the national media, money was no object and we could go the distance on anything. And now that newspaper has a skeleton crew that races around to prop up a one straight newspaper. There's nobody left to lay off and no parts to strip from what's left of that paper, all that's left to do is to turn out the lights. The publisher is no longer the publisher, the editor in chiefs are gone, I'm gone, so on many others, and what's in its place now is a whole different structure of trying to chase the news and an office hierarchy or an office attitude that's just never going to produce the same kind of results it produced for decades before that.

Why NY Is Determined to Put Steve Bannon Behind Bars

"Steve Bannon has been arrested and is apparently being indicted again. Now, the left is really after this guy. In fact, you could almost call him a sort of a little Trump in that they are desperate to nail Bannon on something. And they have tried, you know, he ignored a subpoena and they tried earlier with federal charges. And the federal charges were that Bannon was part of this, it was called we build the wall project. Then in didn't set it up himself, he had some other guys mostly veterans who were part of this project. They raised some money, apparently $25 million total. And this was actually to do private funding to start building the wall. I don't know a whole lot about the details of this. As far as I know, they didn't build any wall. But federal prosecutors said that ban and was siphoning money from this organization. They accused him of taking up to a $1 million. They claim that he bought some plastic surgery. Some jewelry and a golf cart. Wow. He's under federal indictment for buying a golf cart with this with this money. And that case didn't really go anywhere because as Trump exited the presidency, he pardoned Bannon, Bannon, when one of the guys who got a presidential pardon, I guess he joins the pardon list on which of course I am, also, on that list. And so the state of New York was furious. The state of New York, by the way, dominated by left wingers, the political apparatus, but also the southern district of New York, the SDNY. By the way, this is the same office that prosecuted me on the campaign finance violations. Now, this has become a kind of a judicial arm of the Democratic Party. And if you do any business in New York, you can feel sure if you're on the right side of the aisle that you are now a target. So New York is literally become judicially speaking hostile territory. And I think it's a message that if you're in New York, you're going to be in their sights. And Bannon most certainly is.

NY Times: Donald Trump Is Not Above the Law

"Wrote this long piece over the weekend. Basically laying out the intellectual case, their supposed pseudo intellectual case for an indictment. And The New York Times, they're very, they love I told you so. They love being able to write something and being able to say, look, as we said, a couple of months ago, we were right about this. We were very clear about why Donald Trump needs to be indicted all this nonsense. So they wrote this piece. And again, I don't make a habit out of covering The New York Times too much. But this is not this piece is not a mistake. Donald Trump is not above the law by the editorial board. Now, The New York Times wrote this piece probably in collusion and in coordination with the FBI with the Justice Department with people prosecutors, The New York Times can be best compared to metaphorically to a fullback or to a snowplow or to kind of a force forward to try to pave the way for a coming or a looming indictment. You see The New York Times operates to move the overton window. Remember, the overton window is a spectrum of what is once deemed unthinkable to eventually what is acceptable to then what is popular. Overton window moved on issues like marijuana, moved on issues such as defund the police, which was once considered to be unthinkable is even popular in certain communities, not that many. So The New York Times writes this article to try to move the overton window to try to prime the pump for a grand jury they're trying to impanel. Now I know some of you might say, Charlie, none of this is new, we know they're trying to get Trump. No, this is very important because we're now going to go a step deeper because this impacts the midterms right now. I think Republicans are mishandling this. And I think

"And the New York Post editorial board says that this week's tragic deaths of two migrant children again expose the danger and callousness of Biden's open border policy. The kids drowned in the Rio Grande trying to cross the river with groups of illegals enticed here by Biden's implicit promise of permanent U.S. residents once they're over the border. That promise underlies every Biden policy on immigration and it has now engendered a full blown humanitarian crisis. The steadily climbing number of migrant deaths at the southern border proves that starkly. Biden and Democrats paint their let them in approach as a humanitarian response to those in desperate need. The hideous deaths of these two beautiful little children this week in the Rio Grande. Show that it's really just the opposite.

"ny" Discussed on Behind the Bets

"Carlos rodon over 18 and a half outs recorded at plus one 23 against Detroit, the tigers are a bottom third offense in the league against lieutenant pitching and rodan is one of the two aces we have on today's slate on the mound, especially when he's pitching at home in San Francisco as ERA this year. 2.18, one 93 average allowed and the 38 and a half percent K rate. So I like rodon to go deep in that game against the tigers and their anemic offensive. You like one lefty Kyle schwarber to go deep. I'll mention Freddie Freeman. At four to one, the Dodgers visiting the rockies. They shockingly got shut out that Coors field yesterday by Chad Poole of all pitchers. So I think this offense, I'm going to be very eager to get out there and atone for last night's embarrassment. Kyle Freeland is pitching for the rockies. He's a lefty who actually allows a lot of home runs to left him hitters. He's allowing 2.1 homers per 9 to left handed hitters this season Freeman, of course, at the top of that lineup should get his four. We've got 5 or 6 at bats in this game if the offense really starts going nuts. And again, of course, we know we like to tax hitters there and I imagine this Dodgers line up situationally is going to be very hungry to put up runs after being blanked last night by Chad cool of all pictures. So that's what we're looking at on the diamond today. Make sure you tune in to daily wages today. ESPN2 6 p.m. eastern, no doubt about it. It's going to be a lot of fun. "Think the same is going to be said for the ASTRO. So what I'm kind of seeing here is a four two mets win where Karev score is able to go those 5 or 6 innings and the bullpen holds on and gives them the victory, but plus two 25 for cookie Carrasco to earn the win is how I'm looking at wagering. What I think you're right, Aaron is a pretty much a toss up game between the mets and the Astros. On Carrasco. Red Sox and Blue Jays and AL east matchup we saw the Blue Jays get the win yesterday behind Kevin gausman who kind of turned things around and looked like the early season galvin that we saw this year. So this one should be a fun matchup between these two AL east teams. Michael waka on the bump for the Red Sox Ross stripling on the bump for the Blue Jays at home. They're a minus one 40 favorite with a total of 9, anything interesting here. Yeah, I'm actually going to go with the pitching match up here because this first game would kind of talked about. I do kind of think it could be a toss up, but I would lean Boston money line. It makes sense to take them, especially at the plus money, but I'm going to go Red Sox, Michael walker, over three and a half strikeouts. He had 7 strikeouts since last outing against Detroit 5 and owners last 5 starts on 5 days rest. And he's been impressive with a 2.34 era this season of 6 two record and 48 strikeouts in the season. I feel like this just seems kind of low for a pitcher like waka, especially since the Blue Jays they came into the series losing 7 of their last ten games despite this obviously game one win in the series, but Toronto, their ERA over the last 15 days has something great 6.15. So I just think they've been struggling plus you have a great bullpen and things like that for the Red Sox. So I just think that Michael waka in general just going to go over three and a half strikeouts. Yeah, I guess I was kind of correlated here because I'll just take Boston on the money line plus one 20. I agree with you again here based on the pitching matchup. It is about as even a 50 50 toss up as we see. Check out these stats I dug up on the two starters over the last two seasons combined. Michael walker and Ross stripling. Walk of the IRA is 4.12 striplings is 4.21. Both of them have a 21% K rate. Both of them have a 6% walk rate. Walk us ground ball rate is 40% striplings is 42. They are essentially the same picture over the last two seasons, waka and stripling. So with Boston being the slight dog here at plus one 20, again in baseball, I'm always trying to find those bets where my return on investment is going to be more than I invest in what is, you know, small sample size theater within any one given night of a 162 game season. The Red Sox, by the way, they've done well this season bouncing back from a loss again. They took the L yesterday. I believe 7 two is the final. They're 20 and 11 this season straight up coming off a loss. So with these pictures being awash with Boston being hot, one of the hottest teams in baseball right now. And before the win yesterday for the Blue Jays, I think they had lost 7 of their last ten. So they're still kind of cold in the month of June, where Boston's red hot. I like Boston on the money line at plus one 20. So if walker goes out there and strikes out 6 or 7 and is able to go deep, that's certainly would help you. And I am correlating that bet. We can't not talk about the New York Yankees because they are the best team in Major League Baseball right now. They're taking on Frankie montas and the Oakland athletics JP Sears a lefty will counter as the starter for the Yankees who had another come from behind win last night against the athletics. Obviously they are a big favorite in this game because of what their lineup has done this season. You've got to lay $2 on the money line with the Yankees. So the run line is just an even money proposition. Total of 7 and a half though, that seems pretty low for a total given a game at Yankee Stadium with this New York offense, how you approaching this one air. I'm just taking the Yankees team total, we're going over four and a half runs. Now with montezuma, of course, he has been relatively good 3.21 ERA and three and 7 record. And yes, maybe he's able to limit the Yankees beginning of the game. But the Yankees bats are just so good and they come alive at the end of games. And it's ridiculous. Last night, they had 6 runs in the 7th inning. And we know for the a's, they're really pitching is just absolutely terrible. So I think if you like the Yankees just in general to win tonight, obviously with their phone offense, they've been great against right handed pictures. Just look at how many total runs are going to have. I know there's usually typically some alternate markets you can play as well, but I think regardless you can't take over on the Yankees runs because they're a bat's literally.

"The lego factory adventure ride right so in all of our land theme parks. There's a factory tour with that tells you about the history of the lego brick. And how they're made for this. We've reimagined that whole experience. We've turned it into this. Awesome ride We have this character named professor brick. Who who invites you into this fantastic lego factory and you ride through. Its this awesome journey where you sort of find out. You're you're sorta shrunk down really to the size of lego brick and you get like an inside out. View of how lego bricks are made and then at the end of the ride it actually transforms you into a mini figure. Wow so we're we're so excited about this right and it's it's the first time in the world at any legoland theme park that this right has ever been there. Lego factory adventures where. We're really excited about it. And you kind of touched on the next question. So for families that have visited a park in california orlando. Maybe somewhere abroad. What's going to set apart. Legal in new york from other legal landed adventures will besides this brand new ride every time we develop a new legoland theme park and and as i said Like a landmark is going to be the ninth so far in the world Every time we try to make it bigger and more and more immersive so really it's You're you're really just you know immersed in that world of creativity And that's why so. In legoland new york there are two of our lands are have never been seen for an in a north american legoland theme parks. Oh a brick street which is sort of the grand entrance to the park That's you come in. And there's this huge dinosaur model that greets you There's you know it really it really just kind of you know is. Is this awesome. Welcome to the day and then bricks phobia. Which is this sort of celebration of creativity. So unlike some of the lands which which are sort of based on one kind of lego said like naan giaga world. Lego castle brick topa is sort of the the massive masher mixture of all of them. And that's really celebrates you know 'cause 'cause i know. My kids played with like bricks when they were when they were younger. And you know so. You build the lego said according to the instructions but then after that you kind of break it up and and there's you know you've got your assortment of lego bricks and after that you kind of mix and match and build anything you want to..

We're gonna have both kinds and of course when you get into the hotel You've got Bricks family restaurant which is With you know the entire legoland experience is built for kids. Kids really direct. The experience So we will still have a buffet in our hotel Because of obviously One of the changes that you can expect is that you'll be served at the buffet so you won't be able to walk up and take food communally But it will still be everything will still be sort of at At kids level and kids really You know kids are really the center of a trip to land new york resort and any legal team part. That's awesome well. Let's talk a little bit more about the legal land resort. What other than the dining there were kind. Whatever kinds of teaming in amenities can guest expect at the at the hotel Which is i said. There's also gonna open later this year. That's really inexperienced in itself. So you you spend a day at legoland theme park this really allows you to extend that sort of lagos centered experience throughout the throughout really a few days or a whole weekend and a lego land hotel like everything else. At legoland resort is built for kids so each room has a separate sleeping area for kids and adults The kids area has bunk beds and a trundle bed and they're sort of in their own area. They've got their own tv so if they want to watch the lego movies twenty four hours a day. They can absolutely do that while the adults are in there. are in their sleeping area and And can choose their own entertainment You've got a scavenger hunt which you can participate in There's a daily entertainment for kids throughout the hotel you'll see costumed characters and And of course even when you step into the elevator The disco ball lights up and it plays disco music as you doors close which which is one of my favorite features..

"I like your word good and true and beautiful by living the stories. I being true to the insights that that they contain. And I think one of the tasks. Of that I find. Maybe. A work of service is You know some of these stories were told in a medieval language. And they need to be It's that old metaphor of. Pouring old wine into new skins. So we got to kind of bring him into contemporary context and while being true to them. So this is actually my wife's inspiration idea. She's a gardener and she always uses the metaphor of Planting seeds and this was the seed that she planned to and in my soul when the pandemic. Started and the quarantine was announced and we were all. Stuck at home. I think for the first little bit of time I Mo. Ping in wining what do you mean? I can't travel? What do you mean? I can go to different places. What do you mean I can go and give talks and what do you mean I can't do this and that And she helps turn it around and sort of get over myself just a little bit and Look at the same situation from a different vantage point. Which I think is always a really healthy thing to do. and. So she said, well, it's true that we don't get to travel is true that we're not gonna get to do so many of the things that we have been doing. What are some of the things that you've always wanted to do? that. You didn't have the time for because. You're so busy. Doing all the things that you can do now And so one of the things that always wanted to do was to take these lessons. Which I've been teaching for about twenty, twenty, five years and. Make a nice recording of them. And put them online so that people could. Access them. Engage them watch that the own time not to take an exam not right papers. There's no grades kind of given. This is food for the soul. and. So in those first few weeks of of the Corentin united sat down every day NY recorded more or less one less than each day. And we put it up online some called illuminated courses. and people can get online as what is www dot illuminated courses dot com..

"In NY so hand creams that's requested why because you're washing your hands so much think about what's going on and then the whole sanitizing thinks of moisturizing all of that lip bombs all that kind of stuff and I found an email that you can use hospital beauty donations at G. mail dot com and they have a long list of with the you know email them to the list of products you can donate and they'll match up in the hospital so if there's stuff that you have and or you have in a neighborhood that you can collect and a lot of people are doing that so I love the strategy and local people are thinking about figuring out what are the needs not necessarily the obvious needs and it's it's it's huge take care of these people like in the grocery store what can you do keep your distance between you and the other shoppers and help the workers out and and do that cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue that elbow sanitizing wipes for goodness sake always bring them in with me at my store they have them anyway and I wasn't even going in the store until recently and I know there still is curbside pickup for lots and lots of people so anyway love the clap of politics you know big hugs to all of those that are out there on the so called front lines because the front lines have certainly changed Hey speaking of changing in an effort to get people to connect to get out safely how do you do that we're coming up on Memorial Day weekend and then of course this summer and I just had this conversation I was invited to to speak at an upcoming hospitality business recovery summit and I say and I say this here on the show you you all know that refocus reimagine reinvent you know that's what it's about the matter what it is that you do for a living or what you're doing in your life and the I said it's about figuring out ways in hospitality of how can you still get together you know safely so one of the things that is being discussed and I love this taking Yankee stadium's unused parking lot and I suggest these big partners taking an unused parking lot and turning it into ready for this drive in a drive in entertainment location can you imagine what a perfect thing to do so you you you have your car parked it would elevate whatever that experiences right you can have of festivals that could hurt you were you could have movies you can have food because the food can be delivered to the car whatever it is or an X. amount of people could go and I would just be kind of an up town drive in experience and they're and they're talking about making this happen and if I know anything about Marco shaman and his group they've been talking about this since the started this will happen and they'll do it and they'll have food music and all that kind of stuff and I think others will take a cue from this and you could just charge per car right how much you know they'll have to determine that but do it per car and then you have X. amount they can possibly do it you have the cars park about ten feet apart you have a giant movie movie screens right you have to have live music that can go through the car radios and you could even have sanitized restrooms it is a good idea I do instead of not coming up with clever things why not again burn that brain power it's hard to think of ways that we can use spaces differently and bring a matching them and come up with some solutions that could make it interesting for people and get them out in a safe way in a safe way speaking of safe why there's so much conversation about flights right this travel got socked and once you get back on a plane you know are you ready to get back on the plane but once you get back on a plane what do you do to try to do it safely sell sell Southwest Airlines they're bringing back water and snacks but no nobody who's here used to be they give drink tickets some people get drinks because there's so much business flights and that kind of stuff so they can't do that the drink coupons are out for now and maybe eventually they phased them back in but instead what they're doing is they're doing cans of water and a package of snack mix and and that kind of stuff on any flight that's more than two hundred and fifty miles and then is the first service on the short hops of course that's a much different but they think that they're gonna have flights are gonna be thirty five to forty five percent full in June course that's compared to eight percent in April so that's a significant jump and they're saying Memorial Day bookings have positive results that they're starting to see that it's been a couple of months with the discontinued flights for people and they want to try to travel safely so that's an indication that people are are thinking about traveling if there and wanting to travel we're gonna visit somebody or whatever it is if and that's travel if if they're booking if they're booking seats and that means into the summer what about Las Vegas we had so many people on the show for weeks and weeks on end from Las Vegas affected by what was happening with the casinos and shows going down in those casinos and when are they gonna get back online when can you say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas and so they've got testing starting on Thursday for the first time tens of thousands of Las Vegas casino work workers are being asked to come back so job call backs before they re open they're doing that that round of conversations testing all that kind of stuff and state gambling regulators haven't given the go ahead or even a date for lifting the lifting of the the order of closing all gaming establishments in Nevada to prevent the spread of corona virus but they are aiming supposedly for June first for a re opening and that's why the testing and and all of that and the employees of course are not charged anything in the goal is to get four thousand test samples before the code nineteen illness a day and they're gonna turn around within a couple of days and then they'll have more answers of their think of MGM resorts and Caesars they have they have the most hotel properties on the strip they have a hundred and fifty thousand hotel rooms and a furloughed about sixty thousand employees in March so this is a huge task to get everybody out you know to re open to figure out who's being plugged in where and determine all of all of that because you know some people have those mild or even moderate type symptoms in the beginning for two or three weeks and then is when it starts to cause those there's problems and somebody who lived in Vegas and I know that things survive and thrive by what happens on the strip especially the strip the way it was re done in the last decade or so and with pro sports teams both hockey their golden knights who are the NHL team there in the NFL team that the raiders that is expected to play in their new stadium Vegas wants to be able to reopen they wanna open the velocity or they want to open New York New York and it looks like they're trying to to make that happen fingers crossed you could be sitting at the craps table who knows.

M. P. three from destroying your name I'm MP three stands for matrix medal proteinase number three that's an enzyme that breaks down the collagen you need that degrades to college that leaves the bone on bone so when you take the the the five l'action it's blocking genes that cause pain anywhere in the body including like in the intestines or during your menstrual cycle or you know prostatitis any kind of pain but it's great for soreness and stiffness in your joints because it also prevents the degradation of utorrent it prevents the M. M. P. three enzyme from breaking down the cartilage and the collagen and the connective tissue of Yuni yeah what about the buyer curcumin by curcumin is from the curry plant turmeric Bob when I was a kid in Ireland we used to call the tune recalls for an oral most of the place most of the world Kola tomb report here in America we call a charmer and there's a couple hundred ingredients and turmeric that's a great feeling there's the central oils like aromatic her moral there's all these different curcumin noise like this methoxy curcumin and methoxy curcumin and curcumin itself there's a whole bunch of things that it could be any hi Dave compared my bio curcumin two Celebrex diclofenac agile Tylenol it works it absolutely works it actually reduces pain and suffering and once again it gets right into the knee joint sure you could do to college HX one a day were breakfast and take the buyer Kirkman what breakfast and dinner at a really help you with pain but the fire Kirkman five l'action sociale could for neck pain and back pain and muscle pain so they compared buyer curcumin five blocks the Celebrex in two studies and it worked as well as Celebrex it was actually a little bit better but you know it didn't really make a difference I was a little bit better but I mean you know you're not really going to be a little leaders celebrate you do to buy a quick one five options basically the same amount of pain relief but then there was two studies comparing buyer Kirkman five blocks into diclofenac which is stronger than Celebrex and the buyer curcumin worked better than diclofenac so Baylor University Medical Center they're down in Dallas Texas did the first study they gave people with arthritis diclofenac or they gave the buyer Curcuma it was a blinded study nobody knew who was getting the drug nobody knew who was getting near I diclofenac very powerful and the bio curcumin worked as well as the drug for swelling and pain the bio curcumin worked as well as the drug for swelling and pain but it was a lot safer than the drug Christy trucks have some toxicities that can affect the heart they could affect your blood pressure that could make elects while they could trigger as well they could be toxic to the kidneys they could cause bleeding ulcers are they could cause cataracts Dick was ringing in the ears they increase your eye pressure I have a lot of toxicity and other studies if you use the buyer curcumin order five l'action they work you could use some alone but they work better together because they push back and pain from both sides your drugs only work in one direction with the **** two enzyme but when you combine to the by Kirk mortified l'action you doing a **** two enzyme as well as the five lipoxygenase since I'm so much better for paying it works better and as for any kind of pain pain in your shoulder pain in your muscles pain in your neck pain in your back what's really pain in your fingers all through the pain in your knee or your hip sciatica running down your legs plantar fasciitis heel pain it helps any of them nerve pain helps any kind of pain so they feel that by curcumin works as well as the prescription drugs ordered Russian pharmacies thank you could buy those drugs in a gas station which is ridiculous because those drugs have serious consequences you should not be able to buy Advil and leave an aspirin in a gas station they should only be a pharmacist the drug should be really dangerous our review of studies by the division of rheumatology at Tufts University up in Boston eleven randomized controlled human clinical trials bio curcumin Orban's Wally undefined l'action work significantly to give clinically important reductions in pain and improve function and they were as safe as possible she that's the thing there is safe as possible it was a fake took what could be said for the safe pull than a fake pull but the buyer Kirkman order five l'action are as safe as possible and they work as well as NJ drugs Celebrex now percent you know traction sodium which is also called what you want to use a leaf or if your proffer in which is Motrin or or a new Perrin and it worked as well as diclofenac there's no real difference between the amount of relief you get from the buyer Kirkwood filed Aktion or you do from a drug except it's a lot safer I'll tell you another benefited by Kirkwood five l'action brain health I didn't know that at first when I made the product I may refer back aches and stuff done many years ago it was working really well people with spinal pain noted published a lumbar disc puts sciatica put neck pain because they're always looking down at their cell phone and messing up the neck all people shoulder pain muscle pain I mean really works and then study started coming out for the buyer Kirkman for depression IBM clinical trials and how it might help a little bit with Alzheimer's disease but then the study started coming up for you and me I don't know Valles formers but I am older I just turned sixty six by the way I joined a gym I lost six pounds in the past week and a half I'm counting I'm do not point system you know you you well I'll point points to every kind of food like salad dressing or olive oil or dessert or anything a beer and I'm not going over a certain amount of points every day that's really working for me almost going to the gym I joined a gym I joined a gym over in the at the Suffolk County fun having a great time now jobless six pounds in about eight days turned up by Kirk my father actions good from my memory even though my memory seems to be falling because it's it's miracle gro for your brain I turned up the buyer Kirkman follow l'action we stores Merkel coffee break let's go to a break we'll be right back sure he can fight health I'm gonna talk about by occurred.

"Could you send in June things you can do with the NY he can't even solve the killing teen year old college student in fact start to look more like the keystone cops the talk show that's getting you your with Brian Kilmeade Hey welcome back everybody one of the great things about doing a military battle is they be able to talk to great military strategist of this generation so as I do Sam Houston in the Alamo Avengers people focus on how the Alamo fell I like to focus on how it held for thirteen days who better to talk to than a man obsessed with this by to do was a kid he's one of the finest commanders of this generation general Stanley McChrystal breaks down the battle of the Alamo let's get one of the finest commanders of this generation general Stanley McChrystal who also loves the Alamo in the stores or at general well it's a pleasure to be here I know you will be out there you love the military what about your connection to the when I was a kid of course Davey Crockett Walt Disney show came out John Wayne's movie came out but beyond that was also something different is not just about all of it to me good it's about brave people making a sacrifice for something they felt was important so you have to create commanders Gymboree and you have William Travis well Travis is a young man he was head strong he was courageous we was a little more wisdom he was a slave trader as one of the things he got involved in life when he also was a charismatic leader most of the defenders of the Alamo or using rifles which are slower to load a musket maybe one or two rounds a minute Sir if you're standing on the walls and they're not many people around you shoot your round then there's just nothing happened the reality is you know more people on the wall mass to keep up the kind of fire that might keep the Mexicans kind of like a cascade effect I understand the Mexican troops rolled on right the Texas nodding haven't been trained well they've got this commitment for the most part these features and suddenly you put a bunch of teachers together in two and a half high defense and ask him to defend something like a military force and it's a pretty tough they really felt good early on they had the cannons yeah when the flag went up and they ask for surrender right how to Travis answered with a cannon shot that would be the wall here or shooting down in toward the Mexican forces anyways back to bravado and it was something that says we're not going to back off but remember at that point they thought they were going to be reinforced the idea that if they could be strong enough to make you keep the Mexicans for bringing up their full force amassing they get reinforced in the problem with beach fatal we are the Mexican troops for their way gun shop range they would be probably a mile away and close their cannons even closer sure not a great distance to lose more troops Hey Travis is it reinforces the race is wonderful as they live on forever and he ended with victory or death and which is another sign of commitment at that point he knows force any decided not to leave sources cited to make what would be expand right and now as you talked about time the Texans are here and is the Mexicans Raja thirteen days of the standoff right not a daily fights not attacks on the walls but a standoff almost thirteen days the Mexicans you getting stronger removing cannons closer to bring in more forces and the people inside to get tired tell the the war five courage's something it's different every person but most people are not courageous and alone you get coverage from the people you're around at the people around you show optimism if they show fastness contagious you don't want to let you come right down on the thirteenth day of the siege the full tax the Alamo early hours of March sixth the the north wall and they came out in force and there's a belief that that's where the first bridge was they also attacked in the rear and down on the south as well early on in the fight lieutenant colonel William Travis shop man and dice S. is down Sir now command is gone who is not able to give orders there were probably a hundred and eighty severance battles fought in this compound most these people we only see or hear the people very close to the edge of the people in the north wall of fighting against this great idea what's happening at the south I don't have any idea what's happening so suddenly each person is fine in their own coverage in small groups making their own stand is finally in the chapel use of small engagements that add up to the battle of the Alamo the Mexican army takes the out using the captured soldiers including Davy Crockett it was a very serious person for Santana to kill he had become a folk legend some people think he was the original American western hero Santa Ana was full of Pumphrey after the Alamo when he felt like a peacock loses put another feather in his back to eighteen this read the victory the truth is they may have gotten slaughter but they killed more Mexicans than Americans by Santana the slain bodies of the Texas Army piled up and burn it supposed to intimidate Sam Houston's forces they didn't a blood thirsty brutality here at the Alamo sedan at hope to intimidate the Texans to giving up the fight but that's not what Texans do they fought longer and harder with more men when we come back how Sam Houston had to overcome.
