Bassett bouncing from ghosts shema into death because those are two banger ass games. Lot of lot of good shit happening in depth loop. And i'm really digging it and once you start getting a hold of the systems and kind of figuring out everything about it And i know that they're still so much worry. Discover it's exciting. It's just a great time. Hell now kevin's brought up the talk. That andy was talking about where it's andy. Awesome creed doing a was it. A mario world cover. Yeah i wanted to just do guitar. Covers and stuff on my talk. And i saw austin had been playing bass and posting a lot of videos. I hit him up and he his first respond. I'm like hey do you wanna do mario cover. And he's like hell yeah. I just bought this costume amazon for the video and he bought a luigi costume to dress up. Like should i guess. I gotta by mario causing now and This so he bought a what he bought. The luigi costume okay. I jokingly saying his name wrong misheard. Oh no luigi. Go gordon press play. I want to hear this. Also people i saw some hsa dmca if mario rogue emc then whatever you know. I don't think there's that much side. That ruben bates hot and it gets really groovy once the midpoint hits and you get the harmonies when the song changes up. You know when it's not just repeating that it's fantastic and go over to. What's your take at the cortez. The andy cortez. Yeah go over there. Give him the click. You give them the like. Let's blow up his take because this is hi. This is great. Austin creed killed it. I had to. It was one of those things where those a lot of iterations. And i finally thought i had the final one. I was like all right. Let me watch the draft on my phone. I can't hear any base. Because i just don't do baseball so i had to like add a lot of mid tones to austin's base to make it kind of sound more more twinkie. As opposed to just like lo- Low hits you know now to hear me out all right semi the raw faust that and let me ask it some drums to it. Because i feel we can lo fi that issue this shit. Like my body just doesn't want to consume food when i first wake up and so i've tried a billion times where i sit down. I try to have some kind of breakfast. Cryptocurrency Miners Snap up Computer Chips

"On the show. We talked about crypto currencies impact on the environment. Today let's talk about its impact on the semiconductor shortage miners and gamers are competing for high powered graphics. Chips aka gpa use. These are incredibly hard to find right now. Because of increased pandemic demand most are made at the same foundry in taiwan that struggling to produce enough chips for every industry and yes crypto. Minors are snapping them up to so to protect their gpu supply. Companies like nvidia are now producing mining. Specific chips oncho. Sag is a semiconductor analyst. At the tech advisory firm. More insights and strategy crypto. Definitely take away to a certain degree from everything else. Because it makes certain companies that produce the hardware crypto to prioritize more of their wafers a certain type of product and what ends up happening is it does put a little bit of a strain on the entire ecosystem but it's mostly contained within the gaming market like it had in the past but with a global shortage winds up happening is it starts to take away from other places that are needing it and as a result neither are really getting enough supply. Because there's only so much wafer capacity in the world so we're seeing that companies are pivoting to specifically making hardware form mining. Is that just a smart business decision or are they trying to protect kind of the other parts of their business to. Yeah so i think if you look at like the videos of the world. They are absolutely creating crypto specific hardware because their core business which is gaming is not actually getting enough of supply of gps for gaming because people are snapping up. You know thousands of these for mining. So they went out and created a custom. Mining chip that miners would buy that. And also whenever the mining boom peeters off it has in the past they will no longer be dumping the heavily used cards back into the market and causing issues with failures. And things like

Second are bullish on forty six eighty battery production opening up supply for tesla to continue to expand their business both in automotive but particularly in energy storage third tussles brand door shurmur saying quote we can only compared to apple in terms of the brand value tussles driving any energy market and quote in the actual note canaccord genuity says they see tesla becoming the brand and energy storage and creating an apple inc ecosystem with their multiple product offerings so that you actually have tesla energy and their model. At five percent gross margin that would compare to twenty twenty levels of two billion dollars in revenue at about a one percent gross margin but gross margin was suppressed from twenty nineteen levels due to solar primarily solar roof which actually talk about a little bit later on so out actually expect more revenue. That's only doubling from the two-billion-dollar level here to four four to eight. I definitely don't expect that to say tusla for years. Once forty six eighty battery supply comes online. "For we start off tonight with a semi smackdown the gloves coming off in the battle of the giants. Invidia fires of direct shot at intel. Let's get straight to. Josh lipton with all the details josh so melissa ceo jensen wong is transformed into a true powerhouse. With that companies graphics chips these are processors that generate images and accelerate. Some investors clearly saw in announcement as a direct shot at intel with reported twenty six billion in revenue permits data center group in two thousand and twenty. That was a jump eleven percent. that's doctors had. Its worst day since late february. So how bad is this news. Though for pat gelsinger techy. Patrick moore had capturing that his copy still does both certain advantages invidia with his new service is targeting more of a niche market. Patrick says and intel's still the giants dominates about ninety percent of this market. No response from intel on that invidia news. There was also that big one chip summit today remember. President binds infrastructure plan does include fifty billion dollars to the american chip industry. Melissa back to you josh. Quick question on the niche market point. How big is this market. Or how profitable is this to make the such a big deal that they're going after specifically this narrow part of the market. You're going after what it's called the hp hp mortgage so that is a market that would include things like national lab laboratories like los alamos. That's why patrick moorhead. In his point was saying one. These are different. Intel as dominating about ninety percent of that service you market and patrick's point is that intel's focus is different. It's really targeting. More general business uses and cloud providers. But we'll see how it plays out and listen

It's important to note that the network in xbox network is not capitalized not capitalize that ends specifically this is presumably because xbox network is just infrastructure a product or a service being marketed to end users considering the increasing number of activities that no longer require. Xbox live such as streaming services like netflix gene. Soon chad plane free to play games online. It makes sense to differentiate the xbox live service from the network that it runs on. He's not wrong. he's parsing ended a little close. It's a little bit of kremlinology like and the reason it's a lower case in but also i could totally see a group of marketing people brainstorming the name and say let's make the end lower case to sort of indicate that this is really that it's just network no totally totally see that

Arm's new chip architecture boosts security, speed for billions of processors

"Arm announced its first major. What's Going On With Graphics Card Prices?

"Graphics card prices have gone up. We're not just talking new graphics card. Prices were talking used graphics cards as well and that pretty rough here so Both companies have had problems. First of all with scalpers of course Consoles also have had scalpers and quite frankly there has been a huge supply of consoles at the retail stores. I know working at a retail store. We've not had that many playstation five or What's the latest version of the xbox. I can't remember off the top my head. i'm sorry has slipped my mind. But i think you know what i'm talking about the xbox series x. That's what it is that came to mind. Finally but yeah. We haven't had very many of those scalpers have to buy up a lot of the supply of the graphics cards same with consoles and flipping them on ebay to make like probably about twice as much or even more quite frankly because people are just willing to pay those prices But graphics cards especially they've had problems with scalpers and there have been bought created to check windows graphics. Cards come in stock for the scalpers to go automatically by those graphics cards so you the consumer can't get the graphics card so easily and neva invidia or amd rarely like thus. They've both been trying to do things to keep that from happening. Because they know that they're mainly seen as a gaming type of company are both. Amd nvidia now. of course. they're real bread. Butter right now is in like machine. Learning and i quite frankly. That's where the real money is for them but they have graphics cards to at the majority of consumers are wanting gaming graphics cards When it comes to amd and video and if the gamers can't get those graphics cards while that puts both amd an nvidia in a bad lights quite frankly even if they are making a ton of money off of the cards at still does it. look good for either

"Intel fully unveiled at seven th gen core desktop chips also known as rocket lake s these the cypress cove architecture which is at fourteen nanometer implementation of the willow cove architecture also used in ten nanometer tiger. Lick chips for laptops. That's important to note because the top of the line said in the gen desktop chip the core. I nine eleven nine hundred k. Has eight cores and sixteen threads which is to fewer occurs and four or fewer threads than the previous ten th gen flagship. The idea is that the more efficient architecture makes for up for the drop in cores in threads but until would like you to ignore all of that and pay more attention to instructions per cycle because those are nineteen percent better now and that's fair that's fair since most games don't use multiple cores anyway and the new top chip reaches up to five point three gigahertz on a single core until touted a fourteen percent improvement on flight simulator at ten eighty p even on multi core functions to- claims it's eighty eight percent faster than its last gen ed video editing and thirty five percent faster than is rising nine thousand nine hundred x so the independent benchmarks will be important. There are other advantages though. Potentially the eleven gen chips also address sizable bar which is a frame rate boost to compatible graphics chips from nvidia an md. You also get support for usb three point two john to by two thunderbolt four. Ddr four thirty two hundred ram and twenty gen four pci lanes new five hundred series. Prices for Nvidia RTX 3000 Graphics Cards Are Getting Insane on eBay

"Prices for the invidia. Rtx three thousand graphics cards are getting insane on ebay bc. Meg is covering this article. If you're wondering what's going on with prices on even prices are getting kinda crazy Scalpers our in house charging people two thousand dollars to own in videos. Rtx thirty eighty. Unfortunately the ongoing shortage for the latest pc graphics card is causing the prices for the usa. Too disturbing new heights on ebay. Since mid-september scalpers have been reselling the rtx thirty on ebay for around thirteen hundred to fifteen hundred dollars which is almost double. The original seven hundred to eight hundred seventy dollar cost depending on model but in recent weeks the pricing for the in demand graphics card is only got more insane and actually have a graphic kind of showing the graph prices are all over the place but seems to be general medium to understand the full scope of escaping chicago based data engineer named michael driscoll has been tracking a gpo sales on ebay using a computer script on tuesday. He told us the medium price for the rtx. Thirty eighty has now reached two thousand and seventy dollars the median prices for ebay for all the rtx. Three thousand cards began to balloon in february in the case of the thirty eighty costs. Shot up to around twenty four hundred. The rtx thirty seventy any other hand in a high of over twelve hundred dollars. Us and it's like no world is going on. Numbers only began to drop last week. During the same time invidia lodged most affordable entry in the rtx three thousand series thirty sixty which starts at three hundred and thirty dollars. Prices stopped going up exactly when it launched. The i can't be coincidence. Driscoll told us not a huge drought significant by us meaning. Pc not meet for the increases. I have no way of confirming. But i know many employers give out bonuses in february and people are starting to file and receive tax returns which could be driving some of the price increase. The insanity has also carried over to the amd's latest rate on graphics. Cards scalpers on ebay are now hockey enough for about double the normal cost. It's like a grant allowed guys One factor they do mention is the surge in crypto currency mining which might be creating more customers scars on ebay. Still imagining someone to pay two thousand dollars for a single. Pc graphics card is mind boggling ultimately as a dark time to be a pc builder but you can find ways around. You don't have to get the latest and greatest graphics card can still work with what you have or you can forget buying a pc and building it from scratch and just get one prebuilt to some extent. Probably help you out

Microsoft may make its xCloud service available on a browser

"Do you play xbox games on your web browser microsoft maybe working on making its ex cloud game streaming service even more accessible writer chang. This is your daily charge here. Talk with us about x. Cloud gaming expert offering zola's so what is the latest with ex cloud. So right now myself is testing the streaming platform on web browsers report game outset company. Employees are currently testing it. And this comes before the big public preview the expectation for that is sometime in the spring where everybody else is going to be able to play the browser and for our listeners. Who aren't hardcore gamers. What exactly is cloud. Ex code is microsoft's streaming service. It's it's like the netflix video games. You pay a monthly subscription and games are available of via the xbox game pass and that could be streamed to your android device. It's a ciccio like having an xbox in the cloud ryan what games are we talking about these sort of current titles as it sort of back catalogue of older titles is anything is basically a free for all. It's a very wide range. Aid comes so you have. All the microsoft owned properties which includes of course like halo Bethesda games like fallout. So you have those games And also a lot of the newer games What the brand new ones and medium that's available and that's an xbox series access. Gabe came out. And you can play it on there. So you have those you have the bigger titles those you have any titles. You have odor games so we too wide range of what's available on the xbox xbox game pass got end in terms of the devices you know. There's the browser that we're talking about today you mentioned android. What about iphones ipads will. This is where the news of the web browser is the big news. This will allow ex class. Actually play on ipads and iphones will. What happened was win. Marks off tried to get x. Cloud approved by apple For the app store Apple said well since this includes two hundred games. Do you need to submit every game to be reviewed and of course that's a that's a paid especially since they switch out games every every mother's new games that come in and new games at go out so instead a string of Indicates amazon. Luna which will talk about embiid They're doing their service via web browser. And that sort of sparked. The idea of marks off of mike up began working on that. So yes this will allow people with iphones and ipads to play to stream games of the x. Cloud and of course people general that have a laptop heavy Chromebook have a would have any sort of windows. Device will be able to stream xbox games to it as long as they have a subscription got in so give me a brief state of the game streaming world. You mentioned amazon. Luna is obviously google stadia. What's what's been going on with the various cloud gaming services out there so let's with the big ones stadia stadium is going through a bit of a bit of a tough time. At the beginning of the month dugal said that they are shutting down their in house developers. So right now. Google is not making any games for stadia. They did say though last week that they are going to have a hundred four games. Come out for stadia. Twenty twenty one in general though it still hasn't caught on So there's not a lot of excitement for it as much as it was with. Google first announced it that people have tried and it's just not capturing every everyone then like i mentioned amazon luna. That's right now. And the early access phase people could sign up board. And they maybe picked to try it out if echoed x. Claude is the net flicks for video games. Amazon is appropriately. The amazon prime video of video games in that. There is the for the monthly subscription. Seven dollars you will get access to a certain number of games. Then if you want you can pay a couple bucks more and you'll get another you'll get you'll get access to another catalog like. Ub sauce games. So that's how they're gonna do it to where everybody's going to be able to sort of pick choose what they want. But they're sort of base line of games that are going to be available for the monthly fee de force that is for. Pc gamers wanna take their pc games and play it on a their their phone tablets or black or laptop if they don't have a gaming laptop that had a stumble row stumble last year when it launch because they invidia put out all these games available for streaming. But they didn't tell the publishers so the allergies publishers kept just pull their games from the g force now So it took a while for them to serve sort everything out now the services going smoothly It's actually free but you only get to play an hour for free but If you pay if you pay or you'll get a better access better better fidelity as well as well unlimited time. So that's also available of o'clock eighty. What about sony nintendo some of the other big players in the gaming world. Well sony was the first one to do cloud gaming. What their playstation now That launch back with the playstation four and not early on in the playstation. Four lifetime and sony just has not put any effort into it They release a few games for for its They'll they keep it. Keep it moving. But there's maybe a million or two subscribers which is hardly anything in comparison acts cloud It's just not not their priority at all I don't know if it will be. They'll if sony will change your mind in the future but as of right apple station is just stare sermon. Afterthought as for nintendo. They don't have a netflix type. Service yet The maybe that's the planning they do have a cloud streaming though For hey different reasons. So games like control. That is a very intense graphic game. It is just very beautiful looking and wouldn't it wouldn't attend all has done is dave. Dave reached out to a they partner up with a few publishers and developers and they are allowing these games to stream to the switch. So you still get all the scrape the -delity like you would on an xbox or playstation But you have it on your switch and that prevents the developers from having to create a very a very cut down low graphics low fidelity version of the game that we've seen with some other titles duke maternal win borderlands where they just have to cut out so much where it's doesn't look as great in it's on his memorable so that available but again that is for very different reason than say x. Cloud stadium got and we just went through or still going through the launch of new hardware right with the xbox series acts the ps five taco middleware streaming fits into the future of gaming well in the case of marcus off especially they want you to be connected all the time they want you to when you're at home they want you on your xbox. They wanted they play games. But they want you to look in netflix. Or whatever when you're on the goal they want you to be on the app so you could play games while your way And you're you know if you're at work the what you pull up your browser sake play while you're not working but So that's who marks off once they want you connected all the time and they have like they have the best option for that It gives everybody else. They're trying to find they're trying to get a piece of this because they know that there's a lot of people that wanna play games that maybe do not wanna spend for five hundred dollars on the latest new york so they're trying to find a way to get in there And it's they're. They're all taking their stamps at offering their takes on what the cloud services going to be. So are we ever going to get to a point where we can drop the hardware and the console entirely like you said there are folks out there who may not wanna drop five hundred dollars on a new system bogut appoint were that just completely. Needless completely out of the equation. Everybody's expecting this generation to kind of be the The real he wanted to determine whether we go with or without consoles. It's i still think we're going to need hardware. Future especially the way hardware is being developed with nvidia An md they're still producing this great hardware that that is really going to produce these even more beautiful games a blitz. It option is likely gonna be there in the It comes down to. Who's going to have the easiest access to stream to your tv. I mean the. Tv's are getting having more hardware than getting smarter but the only way to play on your tv right now without a console is like chromecast but if the if roku amazon smart tv's if those devices integrate completely with ex cloud and luna and stadia Well i mean crook assery works stadium but if all these other smart tv devices if they all start working together with these cloud streaming platforms where it seamless where you turn on your tv and you just switched to the the x cloud channel app and it starts going with all your without the xbox games that hey that may be it But we'll we'll have to see in the coming years how this generation pans out and we'll see what the other companies do

"Intel also announced stuff that was the day before they announced eleventh gen stuff so on desktop it's rocket lake s which let's just get this out of the way. This is basically a previous laptop architecture ported over to desktop so along with that comes they're better. Ipc has up to nineteen percent higher than ten th gen desktop but also the Laptop limitation of only eight cores and threads backs so the new eleven. Nine hundred k. Is not a ten core part. It's not twelve. corpora park. An eight core part. Now you're getting higher single threaded performance but you are losing two cores. Jim sure is. It's not a great look to go from ten to eight for your flagship. But it's new

"However, so you have a trade off. The quality of the graphics might not be quite as high, but you can render them much more quickly which could improve things like the refresh rate. While in video was working on this. Another company came out with a product that had a big impact on the graphics card industry, and it also lead to conditions that convinced me to get out of PC gaming for quite some time. Not putting blame here just that it created an environment that I got increasingly. Disenchanted with the company and their product was not a bad one. By the way, the company was three d. FX interactive. It launched a year after NVIDIA had incorporated. So he lodged in nineteen ninety four and ninety five. They introduced a three d accelerated graphics card called the do, and this card was different from other graphics cards that had come before it because up to that point, graphics cards would typically integrate two d and three d graphics processing on a single mother board. But three d. FX created a card solely dedicated to three d graphics. So you could not just have a voodoo graphics card in a computer and have that you're only graphics card and have that work. You actually had to make it work with in parallel with a two d graphics card, a really in series. Because what you would do is you would take a VGA cable from your video control Ricard you're, you're. Basic graphics card in your computer, you would feed that cable into your vote. Do card, plug it in on the back of where the expansion card is, and then you'd take another cable and you'd hook the do card to your monitor. So you affectively had two different graphics cards doing work inside your computer, the do handling all the three d. stuff and then gave gamers a new option when building out computers to play games, like doom and quake, which were progressively putting more emphasis on three d models and they were pushing the boundaries of what PC's could do at that time before the do the most common way to keep up with gaming developments would be, you'd go and get an upgrade to your CPU which get it really expensive. So I remember when my family went from having a two eighty six IBM compatible to a four eighty six. And then later on we got a Pentium, but these. Graphics,.

"That's done because it kind of works as fit but what happens when your service starts getting a lot of traffic and it has scaled up basically the activities happening seven hundred times in a minute right so what you would want to package this up in the in the case of postman you can build a collection that's postman's abstraction for grouping together a request and you can run it and one goal using a tool that we provide called a collection runner so you can just the in sequence and essentially similar scenario of like you know sending wonder quest for the other what the collection not also lets you do is let let you it lets you run across like several iterations so very quickly it can send these requests one after the other and you would get some basic sanity in in your simulation scenario now the also have tools that let you can export this collection out and you can run it using an open to grow or to provide using the terminal and you can run multiple iterations off this and you can run them in parallel so we don't really sophisticated there you have to kind of do some basic world there but once this scenario can works for you and you have tested a across in a debugging process and then to like some lightweight automation process you can use a more professional load testing tool that's going to run the scenario over and over again and it can simulate like more professional no testing tool can send requests from different locations so just think of this caused being made from places around the world and once you kind of do that then what what you might start seeing in your several logs are kind of in in in your monitoring service is that the server starts behaving differently than what you started out with it's when you start out building something you have the most pristine kind of of the service but as as your as low testing system stocks putting pressure on the civil your service might start behaving a little bit erratically and you might notice issues of state you might notice things kind of not working well between in the server and between you know that is supposed to receive the data so lots of things can go wrong and you know what it's it's basically a progression of teams one after the other and yeah you you will be read typically recommend doing this before you get featured on hacker news right and that makes sense so basically if if i have a decent user base but i'm going to have this big i'm going to be at a nvidia gtc or something which is a big convention than.

"Nvidia successful from the beginning is the company builds chips to solve important problems and the that are tailored to those particular problems so when invidia decided deep learning is the most important thing that we're going to be using our gp's for the next step was to customize the architecture for deep learning and volt has the first fruits of that effort and so the computational capabilities of volta are really astounding you know one voltage ep can run at over one hundred twenty tariff ops when you're training model and that's you know about ten times faster than the the speed that you would get on our prior generation gp and so that's that's a really exciting capability how does the architecture for something like volta differ from something like graphics volta is different in a lot of ways from our previous gp is it's just a lot more focused on compute workloads so especially the memory subsystem has been beefed up to handle the kinds of data patterns that that are required in in a lot of compute workloads it also has a lot faster injure arithmetic which is really useful for addressing math and more i would say complicated workloads where you need to do a lot of indexing math to figure out what data you're gonna load and operate on so the whole architecture has been revamped and then in addition to all those other features we added tensor chords which are essentially matrix multiply units that can do small matrix four by four by four matrix multiplications and the thing that's really great about tensor cores is that they dramatically reduce the energy cost of reading and writing the operations from the register file because the majority of the work happens inside of this bigger chunkier unit and you don't have to be constantly reading and writing all the intermediate results to register file and so that dramatically reduces the energy required to do a matrix multiplication which then makes the processor dramatically more efficient.

"Compared to a cpu if you were running a neural network for detecting cars for instance and you feted a million images of cars it's gonna go through that process a lot faster on a gpu than it would on it same amount of power given to us a cpu crates or like you can imagine if you have like a hundred the so you have a thousand neurons at the entry level of your neural network and you have a thousand cores and your cpu gpu then it's a one to one you can loaded in and go if you have a cpu with like say four cores neto two of them might be used trump knows you might only have two kors available then you actually have to have those two cores due at five hundred times to two yet just compute that one level with a thousand inputs so yeah it's the idea of being able to do everything as close to real time were all at once as possible and so nvidia sort of stumbled into this and people started using their gpus for the scientific titasz and they realized that they kind of wanted a program so one way that a lot of people will interact with their jeep uses with direct acts or open g l which are these software middle layers that help saaf software developers right to the gpu but actually what nvidia sorta realizes that those weren't those were built for graphics and that a lot of these scientists and researchers actually wanted to use the gpus in ways that they had necessarily anticipated.

"But if you have a cpu that needs to do the you you hit diminishing returns on number of course in your cpap pretty quickly if you're doing something like photoshop or the some of these like video rendering tasks you can get a lot of benefit from it but there's a reason why most laptops are probably stuck around two to four maybe a couple more cores because you just actually don't see much benefit from it because you know you can't if you're typing a document you there's no way to lake you know spellcheck the next word 'cause you haven't type that yet so you can only took one word at a time or you know there's the number of things that you can and then you know the writing software that can kind of synchronize all these cores is is difficult as well so yeah right you hit some diminishing returns on this cpu but the the gpu it's it's it's a very very good task for that so that's why approach has worked really well there and that leads into the big renaissance has been happening and this convergence of gpus and what nvidia has been doing and what had been happening on the academic computer signed side of deep learning and what we've touched on in the past but from nvidia his point of view deep learning is an incredibly new and great way for them to sell more gpus because deep learning as we've talked about you have this massive amount of data that you want to load and sort of.

"I guess the one one sort of big thing is most people know about intel and that they have intel inside and it's this cpu and then there are nvidia graphics cards and the gamers have these cards and they put them into their machines and they make their games possible and like xboxes and things will have invidia processors in them so can you sort of share a little bit of the engineering or sort of behind the scenes of what makes a cpu better for the cpu things in why gp was even necessary sure sure so the the cpu is probably the the main thing people think about when the when they think about the chip that runs a computer um you you really couldn't of modern computer without it it's the central brain that does all of the it runs all of the programming that your whether you're right you're so for you buy or you know whether you're using a browser or whatever everything is is running mainly through the cpu and then eventually we started farming some graphics tasks out to this thing called the gpu the graphics processing unit and as you can imagine graphics is pretty repetitive so you've got let's see however many pixels are on your screen so if you have like you know a thousand pixels across by five hundred pixels tall which is not a real resolution but for the sake of argument that means you would have like what like five hundred thousand pixels and you you know you compute them all one by one and you do this over and over and over again and for when you get into like however many times a second you refresh like your refresh rate if you're doing it sixty times second that means you've got to process all of this and compute what each pixel we'll be in each of those 500000 places.

"Tune for move in hopes of interesting yeah so i found it on was just searching online for driver mood and absent collapsing at their any drinks got to use up your for move i got he's a driver mood so in sort of and that was one of the top wants on i thought that's kind of a cool name time yeah so yeah i actually i should really like it it's actually with only three ingredients it's quite complex and not not i mean i like absent so it's quite measure must be quote herbal within the yup driver move in the gin and the the absent yeah really really tasty almost taste sweet even others absence of them particularly sweet but it's good goal so tonight i thought we could talk about nvidia we've sort of danced around nvidia and lots of our conversations from some of our a conversations to tesla autopilot and autopilot too and so that'll be worthwhile digging a little bit into sort of their history what nvidia is known for why they're doing anything with cars at all and sort of what they have on the road map and how that my affect tesla so tons good all right let's jump in so they are actually not i don't know do you think so they were found in 1993 yeah does that same old or new to you well i mean i think that seems new but that probably makes me sound old so i mean i remember when this new company invidia came out and they had graphics cards for my like three eighty six or whatever whatever pc owes putting it into at the time yeah for me it seems relatively new as well and i guess it's partly because of what they do said they were they were found by three three fellows jensen wong chris mellick housekey and curtis cream and two of them were from sun microsystems which is definitely one of the older computer companies um you you kids nowadays might note as the husk that facebook has crawled into an occupied so if like sun microsystems was a hermit crab facebook has taken over its old headquarters and yes the facebook campuses the old.

"In most spheres of life doing something leads to results that we hope or pleasing but you feel like you should be doing something but i think that our record now shows the benefits of as you said alison buying and holding and holding and holding so there are any number of stories that i could tell right now and i'm tempted to tell like my greatest hits of all time which would be maybe amazon which has been an awesome holden holden hold from three to over a thousand so that's been an amazing investment recommendation for our members but i i decide let's go a little bit more recent this is still a by and hold and holden old but nvidia so nvidia is a fascinating example of this this is a company that i think many of us may have heard of these days but nvidia kind of years ago was making graphic cards for pcs so for gamers for video game or is like me you would try to get a really nice nvidia car to drive the graphics part of your computer that would make the games awesome and over the course of time the business has conceded to diversify they start turning these from graphics cards into being the processing units four the machines and then they took their graphical processing units and they started to do things like hey let's put him in cars and as things become more autonomous for cars we can be driving that and by the way i is showing up and we can we can help with that and and tesla tesla's beautiful screen that you have we can we can participate there and so nvidia today is a monster it is an awesome company but here's the story some of the numbers so i first recommended on april fifteen th taxed day two thousand five it was at six dollars and sixty one cents split adjusted today so in today's terms it was at six point six one.
