I can't emphasize how important it is to make sure that this is your product or service. Otherwise, you're making things so much harder for you and your customers and your ability to make regular sales. Let's start with number one. What the hell your product fully addresses the problem it solves. There are no holes. There are no yeah buts. A good example of this is Amazon's Kindle. The problem with Amazon Kindle solves at its core is that it allows you to be able to travel with thousands of books. You have thousands of books in the palm of your hand. You can read it in the day, you can read it in the night, better life 40 days. It completely solves the problem of being able to travel with a library of books. What does this mean? That means when your customer learns about this product, like the Kindle. And they like to read. And they like to travel, this solves this problem. Too many products out there, too many services, halfway solve the problem, or require them to do other things, or buy other things, to make the solution complete. But a hell of your product solves the main problem fully no questions asked. It's just super clear and doesn't leave the customer hanging. Number two, a Helio product has a unique selling proposition. A USP. It has something that allows it to be special compared to its competitors. For example, my software webinar ninja. Its USP is that it allows you to create a webinar in ten seconds flat. It's fast as easy. That's how I differentiate myself from other webinar software. Other products, other services have so many steps, it's complicated. And for those who are not software engineers, it's an intimidating task. So I have a USB for my product. You should have a USP for your product because it allows you to easily say, hey, this is a big reason why you should use my product over other products. It's clear it's unique, it's valuable. The third aspect of a helier product is that it communicates the solution clearly. You might have a great product or service. It might solve the problem completely. It might have a unique selling proposition. But if you don't communicate that solution, clearly where people can fully understand that, hey, you have the solution. This makes total sense, then it's not a hell yeah product. Let me give you an example. Before the iPod, remember the iPod, the music player from Apple before the iPod came out. There were a lot of different MP3 players out there that played MP3 files in music. One of them was like the zune by Microsoft. And before the iPod, these MP3 players like the zune would sell its players by saying, hey, it has X amount of storage has one gigabyte two gigabyte three gigabytes of storage. Now, for the company like Microsoft, they thought this sounds great. We're telling them how much storage is in the device. But that doesn't actually communicate the solution clearly. That doesn't really mean anything to the average buyer. Apple comes in and says, hey, buy the iPod. And their tagline was a thousand songs in your pocket. This clearly communicates the solution that you can have a thousand songs. A thousand songs on the iPod and you can carry with you and you can take it anywhere you go. Now guess what? Other MP3 devices like the zune actually would allow you to have more songs, but they communicated it with gigabytes. So people didn't actually see the value. Apple understood people understand songs. They understand how many songs can I have on this thing? How many gigabytes equals an album? And therefore, they said a thousand songs in your pocket, that clearly communicates the solution to the problem. Another attribute of a Helio product number four is that they market themselves. Real, valuable helier products will grow will sell without any marketing. A good example of this is Tesla to suspends no money on advertisement. No Facebook ads, no billboards, no TV commercials, no radio ads, nothing. You'll never see a Tesla commercial. And yet they're the most profitable automobile company in the world. They've sold more cars than any other company in the last few years. That's because their product is so powerful you need all the things I mentioned. They solve the problem completely. It's clearly communicated. That when people buy it, they can't help but tell ten, 20, 30, 50 people they know. And that word of mouth marketing becomes more powerful than any ad, because it's a recommendation from people you trust. So creating a product that is so good, people can't help but tell other people about it. Number 5, a Helio product doesn't seem expensive at any price. What does this mean? That means when the product is so good, it completely solves a problem. It's clearly communicated is just amazingly perfect for the ideal customer. Price is not the factor here. Price is not the deciding factor. In fact, they're asking themselves how can I afford this? What do I need to do to make enough money to save enough money to buy this thing? Good
Celtics snap Nets' 4-game winning streak with 103-92 win
"Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum each had double doubles as the Celtics won for the 17th time in their last 19 games. One O three 92 against the nets. Brown got Boston started with a 20 point first quarter. Just being aggressive, you know, I seen one go in. I gotta have another good look. Another one in and it was on and cracking the best one. He finished with 34 points and ten rebounds. Tatum chipped in 29 points and 11 boards as the Celtics ended the nets four game winning streak. Kevin Durant led the nets with 31 points and Kyrie Irving added 18 with 8 boards. I'm Dave ferry.

"I'm a voter for the Heisman. Very proud to be able to vote. I've been able to vote on a lot of different awards in my career. And I was able to vote on the NBA awards with MVP and rookie of the year, first, second, third team. All of those things. When I was covering the NBA. And it used to be that there was a mail in ballot with the Heisman. And I know that there are a lot of people just wanted to get it out of the way because there's what over 800 voters. And my point is now all you have to do is fill out your ballot online and then you just send it in. But if I'm the Heisman committee, why am I not saying you have to vote after the conference title games? The voting should be open last night or Saturday night at midnight, let's say. Games are over. Now you can vote. And maybe you don't change your vote. I mean, Caleb Williams, max duggan was wonderful. I think those are the two top Heisman candidates. But if you open it up, why open it up early? Why are we in a rush? Why not wait be fair, everything that happens, but you know, in the old days you had to fill out your ballot and actually mail it in. Now, you can do it instantaneously. And I just thought, if somebody already voted and didn't see what max duggan did in defeat, that's not fair to him and not fair to the Heisman balloting. Caleb Williams, once again, in defeat, didn't want to come out of the game was injured through for 300 yards, three touchdowns. He didn't play defense. But he ended up losing. He's still your Heisman Trophy winner in my opinion. Max duggan, it felt like every week was putting in these kind of performances. He was unbelievable. In a moment where you go, okay, go out there and win a game. I don't know why they didn't have him run a couple of times there on the goal line, but we can talk to him tomorrow about that. I think he's scheduled to join us. But that's what you want to be fair to an entire season. We've given out the Heisman in September before. In October before, and November before, but I think you got to be fair. CJ Stroud, he had won the Heisman, right? Best odds, best bet, CJ Stroud Heisman. I'm like, no. He's got a stand-alone game. He's got to win Michigan. Caleb William had a Williams had three stand-alone games, and he played well. He played unbelievable in those games. And the fact that he was injured and still put up a heroic effort against Utah. And Utah credit. Utah was a force. And they did not blink. Because it looked like, oh, USC is going to run up a big number here.
Alvarado's 38 points pace Pelicans past Nuggets, 121-106
"The pelicans picked up their fourth straight win by thumping the nuggets, one 21 one O 6. Jose alvarado delivered career highs of 8 three pointers and 38 points. I think my high is in college was 29, 28, somewhere around there. So to get here, I ain't bad. He came off the bench with the pelicans trailing by 14 in the first quarter. Alvarado immediately scored 8 points during an 11 one run. Nikola Jokić had 32 points and 16 rebounds for the nuggets who have dropped two straight since a four game winning streak. I'm Dave ferry.
Fresh update on "nba" discussed on Yeah, That's Probably an Ad
"I think DraftKings maybe FanDuel Caesar's, they have a bunch of like you mentioned the mannings and the ad with JP smooth. MGM. So it's like, that has really just, I mean, if you watch any sporting event, and it really doesn't even matter what sport it is, if you're watching basketball, football, anything. You're really going to be attacked by sports betting ads. You're probably going to see one at almost every other ad. So I think that that's going to continue to take an even bigger leap this year. I do wonder though what will take the place of crypto, especially with what has gone on in that situation. But I really do think sports betting has become, I mean, it's really tied into even when you look at the NBA tying its leak pass app for people to watch games online, tying it to FanDuel, a partnership that if you sign up with FanDuel, you get a free three months to watch basketball. Or I think it was $5, or you make a $5 bet. So I really do think sports betting is going to become even bigger in this upcoming year, Super Bowl. As I currently edit an article about a sports betting ad, I'm going to go ahead and co signer. Colin, what about you? I feel like with all the, on the horizon with economic uncertainty, we're going to see a lot more of the Squarespace type that really help people learn new skills are really hone in on their small business or really turn whatever that hobby isn't to a full functioning business like I mentioned the creator economy is booming. Everybody's doing it and I feel like we're now going to start seeing a lot more businesses invest in how people can take that hobby or whatever that skill is and really push it forward. So I feel like we're going to see a lot of different like Adobe. We're going to see a lot more Adobe marketing Squarespace. Different stuff like that. That's really kind of brilliant observation. I think that there is going to be a much more robust presence of that as well. And now it's kind of odd because the Squarespace ads sound like seashells was my favorite ad of a Super Bowl. I would not have guessed that that would be an ad that I'm looking forward to if they decide to participate this year, but I'm really looking forward to how they're going to plan to follow that up. They had Zendaya with the Andre 3000 kicker. How do you even begin to top that? You have to just get Beyoncé. I don't know what I think. I don't know what else we can do. You have to get Beyoncé. It's going to go back. It's all goes back to can someone get Beyoncé and a Super Bowl ass so that we can shut up about it. Ideal. Beyoncé and Rihanna just randomly doing product demos in the same way. The Internet would break. That's too much, I can't stop. Shut it down. That's too much.
Giannis-less Bucks cruise to 105-96 win over Hornets

No problem, Bobby portis led the bucks with 20 points as Milwaukee cruise to a one O 5 96 win over the Charlotte hornets. Everybody sacrifices everybody works entirely, you know, extremely hard on this team. There's no egos. Everybody just wants to see everybody wearing. Jordan Mora added 17 points and Brooks Lopez and javon Carter each scored 14 for the bucks. Terry Rozier led the hornets with 26 points, but Charlotte had its three game home winning streak halted. Chinese Government Shows the Same Evil as Soviet Union, Nazi Germany
"Also encouraged that the nightmare of what's happening in China is causing the Chinese people to stand up. But I want to say that if you want to know, I think I put out a tweet this morning that a lot of times people say, well, I wonder what I would have done if I was alive during the rise of Hitler and the Nazis. Well, you can find out literally now right now because what you have happening in China, it is no different than the worst evils perpetrated by in the Soviet Union. Under the darkest days of communism and Stalin, it's no different than the worst evils perpetrated by the Nazis under Hitler. It is absolutely evil and how people react tells you everything about who they are. And so when you have companies like Apple, apple is basically a Chinese company. It would be like in the middle of the Cold War, somebody making money off of the Soviets and basically siding with them never criticizing them and criticizing the United States. Apple, the NBA, a lot of corporations, the Biden administration, the left leaning sort of Marxist leaning apologists for Chinese style authoritarianism have been muted in their criticism. This is astonishing. Imagine if Ronald Reagan were president, or if Donald Trump were president, what would he be saying about what is going on in China right now? And I think we really need to look ourselves in the mirror and understand that if you want to know what you would have done back then, look at what you're doing right now,

Tatum hit 8 of his 12 three pointers on his way to his third 40 plus point game of the season, a mark which he only needed three quarters to hit. Just kind of being in a race spot. You know, especially in the first couple minutes of the game the way we were just moving the ball, you know, and you know, I've seen a couple going out early. So, you know, just shooting in rhythm. Golden State Warriors' Coach Dodges Question on China
"I was watching the coach of the National Basketball Association Golden State Warriors. Steve Kerr. Steve Kerr. And he was asked about a news conference about what is happening in China. The NBA hates America and loves China. It's a scummy organization in the NBA. Who's the head of it? Is that Adam silver who is that? He's really another one who. To the extent that he will ever be remembered it will be for harming the cause of liberty on earth. The NBA seems to attract pretty scummy people in its high echelons. And not a few like LeBron James and its among its players. So he was asked if he would condemn what is happening in Chinese. Well, I'm not, you know, they don't ask me in China to condemn I'm paraphrasing. To condemn all the AR-15 mass murders in America.

"Like playing at a local gym, playing at a local park. And that like genuinely brings me joy. Yeah, that part's great. I'm just saying that there's a level of due diligence where like, you know, there are some there are some non NBA games. Okay, we both live in LA, right? LA is like the epicenter of off season NBA. And there are pickup games all over the city, including and especially the games that they run over at UCLA, right? There's floors are okay. It's not what, and they're not worried about mansions, yeah. That's what I mean. That's all I'm saying. Some level of due diligence on what kind of where are we playing this game and has anybody pulling the fire alarm ahead of time? That's all I'm saying. Wow, really coming in like the Grinch here on the crossover and pickup game. You want to humidity check? I just don't want guys to be breaking ankles on what floors in August. One of my favorite things about cricket, like watching cricket with my dad growing up is like before the match, one of the commentators would go onto the field and he'd be kneeling down on the pitch, like squatting down here and like touching it. So really dry pitch today. You're going to want to bowl first stir. Blah, blah, blah. This is why it's a batter's pitch today. They need you doing that. They need you going down to the court touching it. Yeah. You're like, you're like the humidity percentage on the floor right now. There's a reason why they got during the regular season, those kids with the squeegees and the towels, right? I mean, come on. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, maybe that's all they needed. Maybe they just need. A more legit squeegee slash towel operation. There's nothing
"nba" Discussed on The Crossover NBA Show with Chris Mannix
"Again, apply by August 31st and pay no application fee, certify to operate by chef. What up? It's the crossover pod Friday edition. I'm Howard Beck, senior writer for Sports Illustrated. We just had one of the most cherished sacred days on the entire NBA calendar, I'm talking, of course, about the release of the NBA calendar, the schedule. It's out. Maybe you heard, which means NBA grievance Twitter, NBA conspiracy theory, Twitter, and all the other weird subsets of NBA Twitter got to kick into high gear about which teams got snubbed and who got disrespected and the secret hidden meanings behind who's playing on Christmas, all that fun stuff. And of course, on this podcast, that means another sacred tradition, the return of the schedules ours, Evan wash and Tom corelli of the NBA are back and this year joined by a third Tsar, Jean Lee. Yeah, I know, three czars, it's probably violating some rules of how Tsar ship works. I don't know political historians you can reach out straighten me out. On this podcast, I give out the titles. We're doing kosar's three czars. They will, of course, explain how they construct the schedule. How they decide who plays on Christmas and opening night and other tentpole days and how the Kevin Durant saga impacted the entire schedule making process this year's spoiler alert, it absolutely did. These guys also will explain how they streamline the schedule once again every year nipping and tucking a little bit more, making it less onerous on teams. This time they reduce travel by an average of 2000 miles per team, which is incredible, some other new wrinkles, which I think you will find interesting as well. Before we get to all of that, a programming note I'm off the next couple of weeks, but I will be back in early September, maybe by that time Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving and Russell Westbrook and all these guys will have been traded. Who knows?
"nba" Discussed on Open Floor: SI's NBA Show
"Probably my favorite guy in this draft. Very cool. Yeah, everyone loves him. And he's like the exact type of player. Classic spurs pick, right? Everybody on NBA Twitter, everybody who analyzes the draft. No one's really saying anything bad about him. He's a modern player, fits defensively guards multiple positions, selfless can go into any system. Plays with an edge? Yeah, so I love that pick makes a lot of sense for where the spurs are and who they also already have on their roster. And not trading Dijon Murray. Also, big win for the spurs. It's really crazy how many rumors his name is popping up into. I don't like that. I'm not surprised you don't like it. I don't like it because it's like, I don't think the spurs are trying to squeeze value out of digit Murray. I don't think that it makes any sense whatsoever. To get scared about paying him the max when his current deal expires. He's young he just made an all star team he improves every single year. He's exactly what you go down the line. Every team that's good is like, I wish we had Dijon day Murray. How do we get to John T Murray? He's just a cultural tone setter for the spurs and a team that's trying to build itself back up. He's the last player I want to say. Yeah, he is the last player from who's played with Manu and Tony and was there when Tim Duncan was on the sidelines and around the organization every day and I think that matters. So I would just be stunned if they moved him. I don't think they're trying to and to see his name and all these rumors just like, I don't know, it's kind of a silly. It's a bummer. I hope they don't move on from him. Yeah, it'd be nice if they could find a way to get a star. In San Antonio without having to give up too much because like sohan, Dijon, those are nice pieces. Those are nice pieces. I liked what the hornets did in just getting their center. Yeah, got the center they wanted. And then moved on the other pick and yeah. I like that Mark Williams, my guy, my boy. God, they desperately needed a center. Yeah, and they got one who I think could be maybe the best defender in this whole draft. We'll see. It's actually a 99 mantra now might not be playing..

"Sometimes the bucks don't make sense and it's not bully ball, but I'm just like, what is this? The sun's just kind of like make total sense to me when I watch them play. They're beautiful to watch. They're kind of like the spurs in that they are perfect in there, the number one seed, and they're probably going to win the championship, and we're going to look back and be like, why didn't we spend the entire regular season talking about them? All right, well I guess that's it. We have the sun's winning. We have dock leaving. We have Carl towns and Luka Dončić getting ejected. We have Memphis crumbling under expectations. We have all of it. I'm not on next week, sir it's got Friday sewer self. She'll have a guest next Friday and then I'll be back the following week. But I hope everybody enjoys the first weekend of the playoffs. So what's a game? What's the game that you have circled? Like I can not wait for game one of this series. Honestly, I think it's Boston Brooklyn. It's probably it's the closest series. And it's the one that I have the most questions about. And I think it's probably the most controversial in that everyone kind of feels a different way about it as well. And there's so much potential for things to explode there. You know, I'm really excited to hopefully watch Ben Simmons play again. We haven't had playoff real playoff Kyrie. Healthy. So yeah, I'm excited for that one. What about you? For my sins, I'm excited for Toronto Philly. And then I think I'm really excited for Memphis, Minnesota. Yeah, it would be a good one too. I think Memphis can or Minnesota can give him a given actual real challenge here. Also just like a really two really fun teams to watch. And watching ant not know that he's not the best player on the planet. It would be really funny against that with his team. Sarah, thanks so much for joining me today. Chris Sutton was our producer. We'll be back next Friday or syrup we'll be back X Friday. Until then everybody enjoy the NBA playoffs..

"I'm going to talk a little bit about the team the sixers beat last at the Lakers really quick. I feel like they're a little bit of a drag on the NBA this year. I was thinking about how Tom Brady might retire. I don't want LeBron to retire, but I do want to retire legion. I want to retire this idea that LeBron as puppet master LeBron as team roster constructor and that LeBron is somehow like taking meetings in the middle of the season to redo this roster that by all accounts was his choice to put together in the first place. So the midseason what trades will LeBron make thing has become a little stale. As someone who made a lot of bones and wrote a lot of blogs in praise of Russ, I officially tap out of the rust wars. This is like I bend the knee. I can't do it anymore. I can't talk about this anymore. I mean, it was cool, I think, at certain points when he was in well for me personally. I enjoyed him as a wizard more than I enjoyed him as a rocket or as a Laker. I wonder whether or not if you could go if he could go back if he would have just stayed on the thunder. I wonder like if it would have just been better for him to spend 5 or 6 years getting eliminated in the first round of the playoffs and be like a franchise legend and making $55 million a year or whatever. And then I don't know. I mean, I think it's cool that he went out looking for a ring and used in like they obviously wanted to completely tear it down. But we've taken someone who was just like a really, really special electric NBA player and made them this weird political football for debates about the game that I think kind of sucks. And then also like, is just now like, gets blamed for every franchise's problems that you ever steps foot on. So tired of the rusting tired of LeBron trade watch, like who's LeBron going to deal? Who's he going to swap? What insane return on nothing? What THT is going to fetch on the open market? The Lakers are just bumming me out and talking about the Lakers and reading as much about the Lakers as I do as bumming me out. Would you be bummed out if John wall was book trade actually happened? He went back to Houston. Is that going to happen? He left Houston like abruptly. It's not his choice, so. I mean, I imagine it would be like, I think it would be a bio situation. Sure, sure. Wait for Russ. Does Houston do buyouts? I got the impression. Why not buy out Walden? Well, they would want to trade walls so they could try to get that Lakers first round pick that they've been I think it's been reported that that's what the deal would be. Yeah, this is the funny thing is like wall is another guy who is just like one of my favorite 5 NBA players for the beginning. The last decade and is now become this weird albatross and just think it sucks like he was an absolutely amazing player to watch. And Washington wall was like, it was so good before those injuries. So I don't know, it's just like, I feel like we get fixated on the Lakers because of the franchise and also because the LeBron. But this is the 9th best team in the Western Conference. And it's just like when they do their surge when they get LeBron and AD play together and they rattle off like 8 out of ten, I'm sure it'll be back in the championship mix. But right now it's just I wish there was just a moratorium on talking about them. Yeah, I'm with you and it is kind of transitions into my next thing that I've been I've been annoyed with all season is just like the absurd synchronicity of all of the Lakers and that's injuries. Yes. So that it's all like their entire seasons are like theoretical, basically. Yeah, exactly, exactly. We're still it is January 28th, we're more than halfway through the season and we are still in that place. We still don't really know what these teams would look like. They played this week and the Lakers were full strength and they looked really good and Anthony Davis looks like he looks like he lost some weight. He looks like just like he looks a lot better defensively. He looks more engaged. He's been really physical. I think he's been kind of like the AD that people were hoping to see. And then the next day, it's like LeBron has an E sprain. And we only get Lakers nets for that particular moment. And then in the 6 years game, hopefully it's not like he played through it. Hopefully it's nothing, but then the sixers game AD hurts his wrist. It's just like, come on. No, his x-rays were negative. AD x-ray watches another thing that I could never I'd love to opt out of. Well, that's good. Yeah, that's good. No, they're right, though. I mean, like we've got these two teams that I think a fair amount of people were like, yeah, Lakers nets, like that'll be the finals, right? I'm sure there was plenty of people who were like bucks and stuff like that. Just need both plots to move forward though at this point. Yes. Yeah. It just does seem like and we'll probably this season not get optimized nets team just because Kyrie is only going to be playing these away games. So the rhythm of that team is going to be compromised. I was going to ask you whether or not you wanted to weigh in at all on the hardened stuff this week. Well, you were talking about it before the pod. So you know, this is event session. Let's go. Let's get it. Yeah, I mean, I guess I have like galaxy brain take is that I think that the original like the sixers are waiting for hardened report felt a little bit like a response to Daryl morey's 97.5 interview that we talked about last week on the show, which was basically like we won 1000% would welcome Ben back, we're way better team with Ben. He is the perfect fit for Joelle, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. And then there was a lot of cryptic stuff about if this, then that and we're not trading them for 30 cents on the dollar. Everything we talked about last week. And then pretty much right after that, I think in the beginning of this week, there was sort of this renewed the sixers are holding fast for James Harden, who they think they can get James Harden's a free agent in the summer. And it would have to be like a sign and trade essentially. And quickly that was a shot down by a road report that was like the nets are not entertaining offers for James Harden and also think that the James Harden Kevin Durant Kyrie Irving thing that they moved heaven and earth to put together that Kevin Durant and James Harden both were like make this happen is not going to be broken up this season or next season and that the franchise they want to go forward with. And then it got into a whole like if your James Harden, why would you go to the sixers? And if you're Brooklyn, why would you let him go to a division rival to the extent that that matters? So I feel like there was like a lot of through the media like manipulation going on between like basically a clutch and the sixers in this story without knowing anything like behind the scenes. It just felt like the order of operations of that narrative where it was like Daryl's interview, the James harder and trade rumor, the James Harden trade room were being shot down and now we're back where we started and we're 12 days out from the 13 days out from the trade deadline. I don't think Simmons is getting dealt before February 10th. I think this goes in the summer. Do you think that there's anything real about a potential hardened to Philly for sidman scenario pass the trade deadline? You know what? I've learned that never to say never about MBA stuff, but it would be really surprising to me and also like I just, I do actually wonder whether or not that's the bet you make. I guess if it's just for Simmons and Simmons doesn't want to play in filling anyway, go for it. But, you know, Brooklyn gave up a lot to get harden and I think that they would probably be like pretty hard pressed to just be like, yeah, sure, go ahead two hours, then go play with a generational center that we're gonna have to play. You guys 5 times a year or whatever. Yeah, I don't really see it from the net side either, which is I feel like it would have to be happening right now and I don't think it will because, you know, once the off season comes, you know, how's that even going to work, right?.

"Time watching the as well without loud horns and music and bells and don't even get me started on what's going on with team dancers, which just really makes no sense in the 21st century in a lot of ways. It's being executed right now. I just have a lot of issues with it and I think it's like genuinely a bad product and maybe people would go to more NBA games if they weren't still out in it all. Yeah, I have a lot of thoughts about this. I agree first of all that they're way too loud. I do not enjoy. The volume of whatever it is that is just blaring from the sounds. It's like we can't have a single quiet time out to turn over and talk to your friend who came to the game. I tried to I tried to transcribe an interview at a recent nets game with noise canceling headphones. And I couldn't do it..

"Not even the right word but on some level kind of respected. His commitment to just being chaotic In a way that. I'm like yeah you know whatever. He doesn't fit into a box and like those people are kind of interesting to me. But this is this is so far beyond. You know an posting a weird photo on instagram or cryptic tweet or whatever this is like it's publicly dangerous and you know people like him are who at the end of the day the reason why we continue to live Under these strange circumstances that we don't know if lives are going to get back to normal in just sad when you have someone who is Public facing him just just whipping this entire waiting on this as a good is a good way to describe it. I mean it doesn't have to be this way. Is that thing. I think you know. Doctors virologists Just met medical professionals have said for the past. However many months it doesn't have to be this way We don't have to have particularly just speaking about the nba for a second. We don't have to have such a like this doesn't have to be a bargaining issue like there is a there is a world where nba players are thrilled to get vaccinated. One hundred percent of them and the nba is thrilled to promote nba players Through psa's through Other means to kind of get the word out that getting vaccinated is the best decision that you can possibly make as a human being in two thousand twenty one. So when i read the article it was i felt depressed. I felt exhausted. Frankly that we're still here Private companies all over this country are enforcing vaccine mandates with termination as the result. If you do not get it so the fact that you know as one of the few nations on earth that has access vaccines Where still kind of toiling around and totaling our thumbs here and not a radical it It's just such a bummer..

"I mean they don't even need all three rather than the dvd katie healthy. And then to me. It's like harden or kyrie. It's probably enough just because how good. Kb look Obviously it's gonna be interesting to see. Katie can do as the follow up to that acts where he seemed kind of reclaim that best player in the nba title and then goes right. Team usa dominant on that stage as well. So big year for kevin durant but a lot of fun running through that any any final takeaways you have from the running through. This definitely really enjoyed kind of putting it all together. No i think we hit the nail on the head. I know it was good to have some disagreement on find getting. Yeah getting some perspective on on where we think some of these teams line up but Yeah i think it's going to be a dogfight especially for that middle. Pack there that we talked about that six or that five through nine even the even the play in tournament team so definitely excited to see how this eastern conference shakes out and i think they've there's there's been a lot of great Roster upgrades for a lot of these teams eastern conference all matches excited for for the season to get started here real soon. Yeah pumped up for berry. Ron episode today moon. Af- where gonna people find you on twitter. Anything else you wanna plug for. Nfl thursday night football tomorrow. Yeah What else you wanna share that people. Yeah no just look out for Nfl in all dropping. The article for thursday night props also. Dan and i will be recording show tonight. Mlb plays on their Nfl week two plays or props will be up in our podcast and on the website so definitely look out for that but a lot of fun one more bed. I will be making for nba as a bed to kind of sign off here. I think that the Miami heat at ten to one to win. The conference is very very intriguing to me. Okay i mean. I think that that's interesting Definitely a good bet on the health of brooklyn nets So they go tend to win east for the miami heat for me. You'll find me on.

"And if he's healthy biggest question mark ever for victor oladipo after all that he's been through over the past couple years he's gonna be a great addition to this team whether that's going to be interesting where he kind of comes off if he's going to be off the bench or a starter but You add a kyle lowry with you know dunkin robinson resigning jimmy butler b. j. tucker bam out of bio the depth on this team is so good you add it. I believe marquis morris on this team Tyler heroes still they're like i said victory depot so And they have a great head coach again. I think we we don't give erik spoelstra enough credit for being the type of a head coach that he's been over the so many years for the miami he since from lebron days to guiding them to the nba finals when they were in the bubble So a lot the construction of his roster. I think you know pat riley in the front office has done a fantastic job of getting guys on this roster so if healthy. I think that this is a big question for a lot of these teams. Is that if miami. Miami's able to stay healthy. This is definitely a top three seat in the eastern conference. So i love what they did in the offseason. Yeah you also jimmy butler with a chip on his shoulder. Which i think is gonna be awesome to see. I'm excited in air exposure a chip on his shoulder as well And thing i think we saw for the heat last year. I mean they kind of they took the regular season. They didn't take it easy. They were going up and down throughout. It won a ton of games late. They were eight to in their last ten games of the season to kind of make this record even better than it was but we saw the bubble how much the lack of homecourt advantage for that top seed right. The bucks didn't have the homecourt advantage in that series on the heat of their ass And then last year you know you go down to oh and it just changes everything right and i think you're going to see how important it is especially for these big big contenders to try to get as much homecourt as possible in.

"Who were your four also wanna check. I mean i think different books do it differently for the to make the playoff odds to finish the top eight in the conference or that to make it after the plane. Tournament already happens. I think you'll have to be like a top eight seed ride because at that actually when the playoffs like start one three eight. I think the playing tournaments just an extra game just for ratings and things like that for the nba. But i think you might we. I think that's a great point site. But you wanna make sure whichever book your betting on to make sure you're either rules on on. Make miss the playoffs. Because that's a great point that you brought up. Yeah definitely and i think i. I've seen it. I think i. I think i agree with what you said. He doesn't want to check in on that. Because it's going to be tight in this. You know ten thirty six area of the conference so you wanna make sure that you know exactly what you're betting up. Who are your age through five..

"Acquire someone like that So that could be. That could be an interesting move. They have obviously a lot of flexibility. Lot of moves. We made but definitely going under here anything else on the thunder entities teams in north west vision moon. I think this might be another like a team like thunder that her the some. They're young guys like the doored. Are the bazeley zad. They're going to be playing really really. Well get their stock up during the regular season and then a team that has a roster spot or needs a guy on the bench Contending team that are willing to give up first round pick that they do that with door or Or dairy based. You're someone of somebody else. So you know who knows they might be still trying to choir even more draft pick so That that's pretty much it for the thunder and You know i think we have three great teams or you know one great team the utah jazz to good teams with the With the nuggets into in the blazers. And you have to in this league or in the league in the western conference so Yeah what is what else. Where else can you say about these teams now. Nothing i mean. I think this could be a competitive division. Obviously the divisions don't really matter that much in the in the nba how it's structured solid rivalries here. I was nuggets. Blazers nuggets jazz Recent playoff battles I think i think you're looking at the division. I mean you're going to have solid teams here and that to me is emphasizes kind of more like if you're the thunder lead all these teams beat up on each other. Let them beat up on you and you know. Go collect your your lock at the lottery. C. wolves a really interesting year to kind of see where they go. Karl anthony towns. I think he the guy who could be a sneaky like if you were high on his t. wolves team like i would love sue. Maybe like car on the towns like mvp that because he's the one who's put up crazy numbers really comes down to like do a win games as he stay healthy that kind of thing but other than that. I mean it's fun episode and a lot of fun going through these teams here. Yeah hundred percent man and we're like day by day we get. I know we're getting closer to the nfl season but day by day. We're getting closer to the nba seeming season and training camp starting. We're seeing all these videos of guys on on twitter and gyms in you know putting in the work and it's starting to get ready for the season so You know another division that we've talked about our no. "G. p. r. comeback off the break the portland trailblazers win. Total at forty four and a half blazers. Last year were forty two and thirty. Obviously lose in the first round two the nuggets epic series for dame. But the rest of the team didn't look great around him now. Obviously off season with a lot of questions bringing chauncey billups moon af-. Are you still a believer. In in dame i had not fully committed to the anti dame Voice on the on the podcast. But i sent some tweets into the slack channel over the summer. Where you at where these blazers team. Yeah this is going to be a tough man because we don't know what the situation with dame is going to be It's just off. I think he's bought in for at least this season with the portland trailblazers because i think daimler's one of the more loyal guys in the nba right. It's gonna take a something catastrophic for this guy to be like okay. You know it's time for me to move on to another organization and right now it's not going to be the. La lakers anymore. Because they did get russell westbrook. So it'll be. I mean philly's has been the popular name with damian lillard but i i kind of like low key may like the offseason moves that they made right got picked up ben mac market. He's a good shooter. But then i think cody zeller. And larry nance junior at the ad depth. I think it's pretty significant that we're not talking about I don't know man. I kinda want to get your thoughts on it is. I think i think this is eighteen. That's going to be a stay away from me because who knows if this team has died doing well when the trade deadline comes around dad either. Cj mccollum or damian lillard lillard mega traded. Yeah i it's very similar. What we saw houston last year. Like i would make an. I was making the case last year. Like okay if they keep hard in like they actually would. They should have gone over the number line. A five hundred team is okay if hardens as you like it over. I think you've dame's day is over sixty last year. Forty two and thirty thousand williams. Cj getting hurt a lot of injuries all over the place. They had that kind of a late late. Push to get up to where they work. So i think all the pizza right there and chauncey billups as someone who very respected coach. Obviously there's a lot of issues Urges public you know controversy surrounding his hiring and whether or not dame endorsed a hiring looks like that's all been puts a bad and they're kind of focus. Cj mccollum new president the players association congrats to him I think he's geared up for huge year getting healthy. So i'm i'm with you i. They're all season. I liked his. Larry nance move norm powell with someone they had to bring back the got him back Hopefully nurk and be healthy. But if not cody. Zeller the minimum. I mean that is a really really good value. signing cody. zeller game You now have nance does doesn't simon's take another leap That would be nice but you know they have a lot of pieces on this team. And i i think damon cj healthy. They're gonna be a good season. I actually like this over forty four and a half..

"And i'm joined for this episode going to be fun lot of teams that we maybe asked disagreements on in this division here to break down in northwest division win. Totals moon off our bro. Well man how's it going know a you're talking about you took a week off in a little Trip hope you had fun Recharge your batteries a little bit. There i was at that trip was great. I did actually. I have a picture that i meant to send you. I got a picture outside. Ball arena really untouched with the nuggets. So the nuggets organization. You know little breckenridge breckenridge brewery outside stadium. Actually like it was kind of like now much going on really outside the arenas. I walked over there just to get the picture. Yeah but that was cool. Yes i see. I see a couple of the rina's division but yeah was out west. Seeing some of the national parks out there really beautiful time and gladdy back the nba. Talking with you. I i we were saying for his show. It's like just yesterday. We were that middle. Nba finals but did see tweet. We have Maybe less than two months so the nba regular season starts now young man. We're getting close. I think it's about forty five to fifty days away. I know it's gonna creep up on his real quick because we're going to be like head deepen in football season when argument notice that it's here but as always almost excited for nba sees a man. It's it's with all the player movements and trade that we've had over the off season and in all the signings and all that good stuff mandated can't wait for the season to start absolutely. Yeah definitely been you know looking at some of these guys from summer league now starting to see some teams coming together. Obviously we still have. Ben simmons damian lillard those type of names that still could maybe be in the news as we approach the season Plan bell. We're gonna get into some of these win totals and talk about teams in the northwest division. So again those things. We definitely have the nuggets in there. We're going to daimler talk. I'm sure the Anything nets call. Your is in the news recently. Hasn't been much really going on Other than you know the the lakers now get radon rondo today. Also we have that. We have that lowery marketing traders. Well what'd you think of that. Yeah that was involved. Well was that a separate trade from larry nassar's at three now. So that was that was larry. Nance to the blazers. Okay lowry market into the cavs and the bulls getting a first round. Pick and i believe about their jones junior. Yeah i i think the first thing was at marketing wanted to be traded or he wanted a fresh start somewhere else right. I think where he was going to get more minutes. I think cleveland is a good spot for him. You know you have your young guys with colin sexton. And gary's garland is a coro-. They signed jared allen too big contract so they have pieces there right. Evan mobely obviously so. It's going to be a good fun young team to watch out there in cleveland. I think this is a underrated. Pretty good pickup for the portland trailblazers nano. We'll talk about players. Union a little bit but i think just the versatility the athleticism the links..

"Luca turned around. He saw that. It was kobe bryant so i think those are the little things that the life skills in the so many languages at kobe. Kobe spoke in his life was absolutely incredible so You know. Just wanted to touch on kobe a little bit grabbing his forty third birthday But you know we miss toby. Being brian mamba i mean did the legacy that he left on. His game has truly been incredible. Yep narrow much more than that. He's one of the most influential players that we've had and probably will be in arguably ever hundred percent so one more note i wanted to get to was. I think this came down. Last week was Lebron getting zero votes on being the best player in the nba scott. What are your thoughts on this. You'd think lebron is no longer the best player in the nba. And after that news kinda came out. I think you know. Typical lebron post stuff on social media. Hashtag washed up. Hashtag will see what happens next. What are your thoughts on. Lebron not getting any votes as the best player in nba today. So i'm a little bit confused. Because not because the actual voting and how broke down but will bronze claiming that he's allegedly washed because he doesn't get respect that as the best player in the world anymore. Didn't he just say about five six months ago that he's never going to be the same again because of an ankle injury. Can you make up your mind to missing something. Typical brown right. I feel a little bron which is kind of an issue that i have not even just about him. Comparison jordan or anything like that. But i don't think i've ever seen a player who's as talented at his respective sport that goes out of his way to make himself a peers. Underdog more than lebron. You get it. People think that durant yasser better than you. You have the second lowest odds twenty title like why it's fine. You don't have to be the underdog your favorite to come out of the western conference like there are more important things than the media picking other players to be the best player in the world but yet lebron might be looking for motivation and everything but the guy tries so hard to be an underdog in every single situation and it's really annoying because we've seen him do stuff over and over again than most other players if not any other players in the nba could do now. Can you just keep your opinions about being underdogs to yourself or maybe like a week before you open it back up being harsh. Would you agree with me. And i agree with you. One hundred percent. He's always trying to take on that victim role. I guess you could say. But i don't know man. I certainly top five in the league today for sure right and nobody said he wasn't exactly but i think that yeah. I think kevin durant today healthy. Kevin durant is better than lebron. It might too crazy to say something like that. I'm not sure about jaanus. But kevin durant for sure i think so durant i think is i think. If you're going for the overreaction from the rest of the media. I think people would vote. Yawn is over lebron. I don't know i would. But i do think that because of the title and everything like that people would pick yang us to be better than lebron. I grew durant. I think durant the best player in the world. Just one healthy. Just because the fact that. I know that's lost the series to milwaukee when you look once again at the supporting cast that he had or the lack thereof for the last couple of games and the fact that durant had two huge games where he put a basically fifty any at that crazy shot where if his toes behind the line. That's one of the best shots in the history of the nba. Yeah and unfortunately now..

"But we're about forty five days ish away from the nba season tipping off joining me today to break down another division and talks through some nba news. The man who does it both on and off the court for s g. Gps scott rice. Shell scott. It's been a while since we've gotten together man. How you doing bro doing pretty well looking forward the breaking down the division also taking a stroll down memory lane for a separate topic. We're going to have but as a whole happening back on the podcast happen. It'd be talking about the nba and even though football season's coming up around the corner. Don't forget basketball seasons also coming up in about a month and a half so if you wanna get some down early you can and hopefully we can help you out with. Yeah it's been it's been crazy. Man is almost like the. I know the schedule was different from last season. It's it's been a quicker turnaround. Summer league is over and now we have Like you mentioned the nba about a month and a half away of. We're starting to see some maker. Miss playoff beds dropping. On some sports books we have regular season. Wins total drops. Oh we're gonna be grinding. No were both doing. Nfl things and an nba is kind of like my baby also. I know you'll be running away with nba also But before we get to or let me go with the show with the plan. Plan of the show tonight is Worked on a breakdown. Another division dan myself in zag believe we did the atlantic division But scott and myself. We're going to break down the southwest division. Something's happening around the nba. But before we do that. I would be remiss not to mention that it would have been kobe. Bryant's forty third birthday today. I'm often asked what that eight to four stands for on my twitter On twitter handle and. Brian asked me if it was a birthday when i was doing the nfc or the afc south preview with them. And it's pretty much a tribute to kobe. Man and as a rockets fan. You hated kobe bryant player because he would always always torch the rockets. And if we were lined up with the rocket or so with the lakers in a playoff series i automatically cobra playing. We're we're going to lose that series but not only the contribution allen the game On the court..

"Silver bronze for years up basketball olympics. let me see. Let me pull up the bracket again. I think you will find a way to get to the finals. I mean when you have kevin durant owner another list. Yeah the nba talent. There's no reason that you shouldn't get to the finals. I would love to see slovenia versus usa in the in the nba finals. Luca versus the world. I think will be crazy. That would be a lot of fun to see. So i'm gonna go with that team. Usa led by these nba superstars. Luke daunted Bedia against a team. Usa in the final on saturday. That that's something that. I'm gonna be rooting for thing. Could for sure happen opportunities to get down slovenia looking forward to it again so you some gains tonight and then throughout the rest of the week. "Against that you know. Do you think that there's a move. Where since they have this glut of wings I i like collins. I would want to keep him around if i can within reason. But since they had this glut of of wings Do you do you think that they could sort of parlay that for an all star a guy who is like a big time creator or do they need to do you want to follow the suns game plan hair bringing a great veteran is that is that what you're proposing there who would that even be. Who who would even be affordable at that point. I know they've talked about like mike conley. Potentially being on the move. I know but. I don't know that who would be out there. That would be a good fit in that sense. I mean i think we did see the game plan though the two teams in the nba. Finals chris paul and jae crowder. Add to the phoenix. Suns to veterans to a younger team helped complete that roster and then for the box of course added drew holiday before the season got. Pj tucker before the season at brook lopez with a couple years ago. Who had some awesome moments throughout this postseason dominated offensively in game five dominated defensively for long stretches in game six. I i'm really really excited. Kyle for buxton's. I'm really really excited. For the series. I none of these players either. Auster have ever won an nba finals or seeing some first timers in the finals. That are legends. janas will play at some point. If that chris anes report is accurate that he could have gotten the green light for greens game seven. At some point we are going to to janas playing in the nba files two time. Mvp finally gonna get an opportunity. We're going to see chris. Paul and year sixteen and steam years. Chris paul is going to get a chance kyle. I'm to stoke. There's so many likable players are both sides. Chris middleton's fun to watch drew holidays awesome. Pj tucker plays the way. I would hope any player wants to play. How could y'all wanna play like pj. Tucker with the intensity he has in the phoenix size. You get mckell bridges with eight foot long arms andrea and going from a guy who people say. Oh it doesn't try hard. He doesn't have intensity to being one of the leaders of that defense. Anchoring them being a constant enforcer on that end of the floor yet devon booker going off. It's just so many likeable guys campaign. Kurt kyle this is. This is a very likeable nba finals. You really got jazz there for a second man. This is gonna be good. This is gonna be good. No i mean it is. I'm really really excited to see the the wink. I think it's it's a wing driven match up that's going to be. It's just gonna be fascinating to watch because yeah well. My wires crossed there for a second. But yeah i mean who. Who do you think that they're gonna put drew on is going to be a question you know. I think that that's going to be interesting. Drew drew guard at all. Five positions tonight was insanely impressive. Defensively that Do you think who do you think the matchup is even even though we expect them to kind of go towards like switch heavy scheme who who who do. We think they sick him on is going to be. Booker is going to be c. P. three i mean i kind of feel like it might be c. p. three to be honest well during the regular season holiday defended chris paul for forty. Two possessions defended devon booker for twenty five possessions and the primary defender on booker was chris. Middleton we did see in this series specially in that fourth quarter at times dogs. They'd try to attack middleton a little bit maybe we'll see them alternate. I could see a situation in which it's giralda you stick on the hot guy. If it's a chris paul night drew holidays on them. Devon booker night drew holidays on them but that does get back to one of the things we talked about earlier. Kyle with the switching scheme. I mean drew holiday very well might star possessions on chris. Paul can't imagine a scenario in which the that we see the bucks switch a one five pick and roll if de'andre and screening for chris. Paul and then brook lopez goes onto chris. Paul and then you have the andrea and be being defended by jrue holiday. I don't see that but you never know like we. We very well could because this is sort of been a theme here. We saw the clippers. Do this against the jazz. Trying to limit rudy gobert. Who could not beat them. We saw the clippers tried against it worked at times would that switching and we saw that in this series of the bucks switching against the hawks at times taken clinton capella because that rim running in the gravity when it forces the defense to suck into the paint it can open up shooters and a whole slew of offense of opportunities so i do wonder if maybe we could see that even if it doesn't make total sense on paper you have chris paul on an island against brook lopez. I'm intrigued cry. Because i'll tell you what kyle brook lopez's did not look like a liability duty. No he did not at all. I thought that honestly. I think brook lopez made a ton of big plays in this game and i thought that they they were really. They really dictated their own pace really well and pick their spots. I thought i'd i never really felt like i. I know charles was kind of busting their chops at halftime about them. Settling and not get into the rim I thought over the course of this game. They did start to pick their spots.
