"I do wonder whether you know next year we're going to see that as that in front of Marcel Harris. His name on the roster changed to nlb whether that will be More permanent switch, and that's what he does just sort of that. That quasars I player and we've seen that in the past. You know, the Panthers have had 202 £118 linebackers kind of flying around there. But Harris is good. He's Um, you know, rough and tumble guy, um, puts his nose and there is great around the line of scrimmage. He's not great in deep coverage, and it's the reverse for our various more. It is amazing when you look at this defensive front how much they've lost a defensive and we found out today. No D Ford? No Ronald Blair. As far as the return, they've already lost. Solly. They lost poster. They lost answer. It was five starting defensive ends. And yet, you know, the defense of front I thought was really impressive in this last game, Givens look good. Daniel's look good in a rotation. Um, kin laws getting better Now they're getting DJ back. Willis comes back as well. What? To me? That's kind of the interesting thing is that you had Marcel from safety. The linebacker gives you a lot more of a speed look better coverage Look. But up front. They sure got a lot of bodies and I would imagine we're going to see an aggressive rotation. Yeah, For sure. I thought Derek Armstead didn't play very well in New Orleans. And you know, it was if he was, um you know, his energy with sapped and then the next day we find out he went on the Colbert list. I don't know if that's related or not, but my point is that he had that energy again. Against Los Angeles show he was better. I mean, like I said Carrie Haider, Um it probably has made himself a lot of money. And that's sort of the irony for the 40 Niners that he might be playing his way out of, you know the money that they would free agent money that they would like to pay him next year. So he's a question, Mark. Um, and this is right up your alley. Larry. I just wonder whether it's gonna be yet another year in which the 40 Niners used First round pick on a defensive lineman because you could make the argument a strong one that defensive end eyes is going to be the neediest position, especially the way the 40 Niners kind of see defense, their defensive philosophy being that it all kind of flows backwards from that defensive line. They don't have a lot of options there. And you know, that's including Nick Bosa, who's coming off in a C L, um every 40 Niners fan oughta know by now that It's Daisy. The year after the guy comes off the A C l. Sometimes he'll make a full recovery and it'll be like, you know, nothing happened. Sometimes it takes two years for the guy to make a full recovery. So Even that, I think is up in the air at the moment. Rub some dirt on it. Let's go years enough. Get to a CIA out there. Yeah, did you? I did not know this is maybe something you stumble across. I just stumbled across it because I was gonna ask you. One of the Niners do so well against the Rams passing game and Jared Goff and I looked up his stats in the first game. 98 yards this game 198 yards past for exactly 190 yards in both games, 19 completions in both games. He was 19 for 31 this 1 19 for 38. In the other 12 touchdowns in a pick this 12 picks, No touchdown. So oh to page two touchdowns, three interceptions for the season against the Niners. What is it? They do? What is there something that you noticed that the They're just able to kind of lock him up because he's had some really good game. In fact, he threw for 3 55 3 or two and 3 76 the three games leading up to the game against the 40 Niners. He threw for 309 the game before he threw for 1 98 against Anders last time, so It's not like he's having trouble gets everybody. It just seems a Niner seemed to have his number. Well, I mean, they practice against that offense all offseason, you know, in training camp, So it's like they're playing themselves and a lot of ways and and you saw this on Sunday. I mean, those were all coverage sex. Really? I mean, um we've been complimenting carry hider and all those guys and they deserve it. But It took them all How they get to golf. Golf just had nowhere to go with ball. Ah, lot of times. So that's um you know, it's just a good defensive game plan. It's knowing I'm sure Shanahan is is part of this. It's knowing what the Rams want to do. And, um, you know, having a great middle linebacker like Fred Warner. I mean, he's so good and coverage, and that's something that Um, you know, he doesn't really get credit for it. It's not, you know, as glamorous as a sack or a tackle or things like that, But he's dropping back, and he's covering a lot of ground. So That you know that clogs up the middle of these, um of these passing lanes, especially for a team like the Rams, who like the 40. Niners like to run, Ah, lot of crossing routes and slants and things across the middle of the field..

"If you're wondering if Donald Trump is coming this weekend or not for the rally, he's coming. Yeah. I just spoke with Chairman McDonald and, uh and it's being reported here. Probably thinking what he was talking about. You know Donald Trump scheduled this weekend, or he at least, was scheduled this weekend to come up to Reno. On DH, then to Vegas to do some rallies, But I don't know if you know this or not. It was cancelled due to Corona virus restrictions and governors to select and I had no knowledge I come on. One thing that we know governors. Aslak is you are not a fan of this president and this president coming to Las Vegas. This president coming to Reno is a big problem for you because the Hispanic population is pro trump. Trust me When I tell you this, I just talked about this yesterday. Polls are showing that more and more Hispanics in fact, right now The surge in a Hispanic support for Donald Trump is more then it was in 2016 and is now equally matching the support that George W. Bush had with Hispanics in 2004 and George W. Bush in 2004 had a hell of a lot of Hispanic support. This is why the left is flipping out. But in any event, the rallies were cancelled. The rallies were canceled, and Donald Trump said, Pound sand still planning the Nevada campaign trip. Despite these cancellations, so that's being worked on. And as soon as I know, I'll let you know. It just brings me back to governor system like for a moment. Governors to select says I didn't know you know, in this 50 in person, Voter, this 50 person Corona virus restriction. Look, I understand every state has mandates. And I understand governors dislike is making his mandates based on what he thinks is best. But I don't think he knows what he knows, is best. I mean, think about this for a moment. If protest. Ng is going to go on without fail, and hundreds are gathering together on Las Vegas Boulevard as they have Isn't that Circumventing the corona virus restrictions. Of course it is. But this governor is selective in what he believes is a violation and come on. I have to just be honest, It's funny. I was reading the Las Vegas insider and sometimes like to read that, and it's pretty much an opinion piece with some pretty good material in Las Vegas insider just goes out there. Does investigative journalism when other journalists that are supposed to be investigative journalist don't do their job. But this this article brought up a good point. It was yesterday and the article said nightly, beat downs, ghetto fights and assault the new normal in Las Vegas, and there's some truth to that. Because we're starting to see samples of assaults and problems happening even in high class establishments like the encore. I mean, there's been some fights. There's been some assaults. It's happening not only on the strip at the high end properties it's happening downtown on Fremont. So you know, when we basically turn away entertainment, we turn away trade show business. We turn away business as a whole, especially being the entertainment trade show and business capital of the world. Then what happens? You get what's happening, And that is a total destruction off our city. This is what happens when your band business. This is what happens when you shut down the entire convention industry. He closed bar's It's hell locals to stay home and you invite this this ghetto belief system. That burning down, looting, breaking glass stealing Is what is necessary. To make a point. Regarding police brutality regarding the so called hoax of systemic racism. And it's a pretty good piece. So if you know you visit network in Vegas dot com and see the Las Vegas insider, write this I mean again an opinion piece. But is there some truth to this? Are we now in the new normal in Las Vegas? I hate to see that because I love Vegas so much, and and I love the multiply and multiculturalism of Las Vegas. I love the different walks of life, ethnicities and people of Las Vegas. I've always said that when I see Las Vegas and I see all the different walks of life and people, colors, creeds and everything else. This is a little glimpse of what heaven's gonna look like because in case you think that heaven's just one color heaven is just not one color. Heaven is multiple colors. It's every color in the crayon box. So when I see Las Vegas when I see that I see a little glimpse of heaven in terms of the different walks of life and ethnicities. What are we now? Walking down a road where the new normal is, In fact, this I mean, my God. The NFR has moved from Vegas to Texas for 2020. And I understand there's shutdowns, but I think this governor's gone too far. And I think this governor knows what the hell he's doing. Tell you the truth. And what am I talking about? I'm talking about the National Finals. Rodeo is going from Vegas to global I field in Arlington, Texas. Why? Because Texas is open and welcoming that business. Do you understand how Vegas is being hurt economically, because I believe that this governor is over his head in terms of how to deal with Corona virus. My God. If Governor Doug Ducey in Arizona who's inept can actually get things in order? Why can't Steve Cecil AC But Donald Trump, rest assured, according to My sources, is coming this weekend despite what governor sister lack and his draconian measures were saying, I'm opening up the phone lines so you can wait at 702257. 5396. "Maybe one of the guys are a couple of the guys were out. Maybe they went to the grocery store and pick something up. Maybe they went to a coffee shop like Derek Jeter said happened with the Marlins. I have no idea. Somebody was not being diligent, I think And and it wound up that they got passed on to the rest of the team that nobody has any idea how it happened, But I am certainly not ruling out the possibility that somebody went out to a bar or something and brought a fact. Everybody else. Chris's anybody in ST Louis organization worried about them, shutting the ST Louis Cardinals down for the rest of the season. Well, I think they have to be at least a little bit. I mean, MLB to this point has been pretty adamant. They want this season to go on. And you've probably all played Rob Manford quote from a week or so ago that I'm not a quitter. And so I would take that to mean that he doesn't want to have to tell any team that they are done for the rest of the season. But if you're the Cardinals You still have to be kind of concerned that maybe MLB is gonna look atyour situation, which is now way worse than what the Marlins were dealing with. And I remember when that first started, it wasn't that long ago. We all made a lot of judgments of that team in like, Can you believe these guys and then looked like 20 other team teammates are unable to play in What a terrible circumstance that is. Now The Cardinals are kind of in a worse position because they will have been out for longer now, and I think today even marks To the point where they are out for longer than the Marlins. Wilby and they're still not going to play for at least another three days. So I don't know how long a team can sit out without MLB, then saying Alright, guys, it just it's not going to do any good for you to get back out on the field. So we're not going to do it. We're just going to shut you down for the rest of the year. I don't think they're to that point. But if you are in the organisation, you have to be at least a little concerned. That's a thought process that Nlb is considering Chris Rogers from ESPN. One on one in ST Louis. Joining us, Carmen and you're calling ESPN 1000 in the ESPN Chicago APP. Has there been any talk about Ah, like a minimum number of games. They would have to get to to be postseason knowledgeable. I mean, the idea that they're going to make up all these games is there just aren't enough days on the calendar, so like if they heard about, you're going to have to play this and many t qualify. Not that I've heard, but there has to be. I don't know how so if they want to do the thing in the end, where they know there's going to be an uneven amount of games that every team plays and not every team's gonna play 60 And Manfred's comment was well, There's this new thing called Win percentage, which I think he was being snarky with me that it was all right. So there's this new thing called Win percentage. That's great. But what if you only play five games in your three into your win? Percentage is 66 and you get to go to the playoffs. Well, there has to be a threshold they they have to say. Okay, Here's the designated amount of games that you have to play in order to qualify, because if you don't it's not fair to all the teams who played another 10 to 15 games and, Yeah, that sucks for you. So if they tell the Cardinals You have to play at least 52 games, but they only get the 51 they've done really well with the remainder of their games, their two and three right now because they've only played five, which is amazing to even think that because it seems like they've played more than that, they haven't so they having played a week's worth of games. What if they come back? And they do really well from here until the end of the year, and they make up the games? They can make up, but they're only at like 50 or 51 games in the threshold of 52. Too bad about your luck. I mean, it sucks, but they have to make a threshold because you can't penalize all the teams who were able to do this safely and get through to play 59 or 60 games. You can't punish them for it. And the other thing to think about is So if the Cardinals have a dove, a bunch of double headers and I think that before this happened, they had five scheduled It was at least it was at least four. So I think they had five scheduled for the remainder of the year. That's a lot even with it only being seven inning games. It's still a lot. I think, but you're not just punishing the cardinal's. You're punishing all the teams that have to play them. So now you're adding double headers to other teams schedules, and they probably don't want to do that. You know, tigers don't have to play a bunch of doubleheaders because of you. I don't. I don't think that you can force all of the games that happen. I think baseball has tohave a threshold. It's the on ly smart way to do it. And the idea of fairness this year is In some ways out the window for me, because this is just a stupid year. This entire season is just not. I'm not saying I didn't want it to go on. I'm just saying it's everything is done, You know, so you can't really worry too much about fairness, but you can't You can't make it to crazily unfair for some of these teams who haven't had outbreaks and you know, forced them to play extra games. I think you have to tell teams like the Cardinals or if there is another outbreak. But you have to reach a certain amount of games. And if you don't do it, you don't get to go to the playoffs and it sucks. But that's the situation. We're in real quick Before we let you go. Chris, who answer pretty rabid fanbase, obviously, were the fans upset with players and they'll be like how how is that going for you guys when you talk to fans down there? Honestly, I don't think they're upset with anybody with the team is probably more with the league than anything else. I think if it had come out that we knew for sure that a player or players went to a strip club or something. And they contracted this thing and brought in fact, everybody, then I think people would be upset at them, but we don't have any solid evidence. That's what happened. We don't know for sure. So I think people are kind of sympathetic with the team that they're having to go through this. And they're more upset with MLB than anything else, but I think what we really should be upset about is the fact that they're being asked to play in this environment. I mean, this is Ah, you know, they chose to do it, but It's I don't know how teams we're going to be able to pull this off and do this when this virus is everywhere, and it's rampant and then they have to go in travel. You know, there are protocols and they have to follow the protocols, but it's a pretty tough thing to ask them to do this in this environment. Course we appreciate the info in the time today Be well, buddy. You guys to take care of yourself. Be safe. Thank you. Good catching up. "But when you have young guys, when you have a revolving door of a roster, you're trying to rebuild an organization. It is so much fun to see those guys have some fun. I don't know if the Padres are surprised. But they're who we thought they were. They have done a great job. The last two years of accumulating talent signing veterans, and they are that shortstop Fernando Todd Jr is as much fun to watch as any player in baseball. And maybe the biggest surprise of the Rockies pitching great. I don't know if they're gonna have enough runs. But they sort of made you take a look at the NL West and say, Wait a minute. You know if they're in the mix If Arizona is in the mix, we could have some fun out there. Now the Yankees come in with the best record in baseball in the early going there six and won their riding a five game winning streak entering tonight looking for a three game sweep against Thes Red Sox, and they're hitting the ball out of the park with regularity. 14 home runs in their 1st 7 games. Aren Boone chattered about the quick start with John Shambo? Here with the skipper of the New York Yankees, Aaron Boone, and let's start with offense. This teams off to a very good start swinging a bat. You lead the majors in runs per game last year, and yet you did it with all the injuries. Is there a chance this year's offense could be better? I hope so. You know, we were always looking to be better, you know, and feel like there's always room for us to continue to improve. I agree. I feel like we're off to a good start where we got a couple guys that are off to a slow start, but I feel like her. Are rounding in and you know, I think when you look at her team right now, where we're really hole, I mean, you look at the depth of our bench and you know and trying to get those guys You know, look every now and then, so we can keep them regular and keep them playing, knowing that at any time they could be pressed into an everyday role. So I'm really pleased about where the guys are where they came in from Just from the physical standpoint, when we started summer camp, and I feel like the intensity and the edge of the these guys have had, really since day one of summer camp now carried into the season. I've been really excited about. Are you worried you're hitting too many home runs? No, Never. Never. Um Ah. Homer's air are a good thing. You know, I'm sure on a day we don't score. A lot of runs will be overly reliant on him where I'm always ready for that one, but no were were in a good place right now as faras. You know, by a larger at that quality up and down What is Paxton need to do differently to produce better results. Obviously, the line wasn't what you had hoped for. But what needs specifically to be tightened up. I think it's you know, it's continuing to unlock him mechanically. I think he's been a little bit off. Mechanically, which which is holding back some of his power you know, with with a couple of post moments that we had last week, it allowed us to juggle our rotation a little bit and Push packs back, so he's he's been ableto have to pretty aggressive, heavy workload bullpens in between his last start in this one where you know he and that Blake are kind of working on just I think it's subtle. But hopefully things that will help unlock him and we'll see where we're at today. I You know, I think there's still work to be done there. But, you know, I feel like they're there were some productive sides that hopefully, you know, bear out some fruit tonight. Thanks for the time. Good luck. James Paxton last year got it done against the Red Sox, A three in one record 3.28 earned run average in four starts against Boston. Those of you that watch both shows know exactly what I'm talking about. Let's switch gears and lets talk a little bit of major League baseball on the Harrison experience with Jim Meme alot. He does radio for serious Exim. Nlb radio. Jim, how you doing today? Doing pretty good. How are you doing? Fantastic. Who was your favorite character from saved by the bell? You know, Honestly, I'm a little bit older than to be in the demographic that watch saved by the bell. But honestly, my kids watch it. So I watched. Ah, I I'll go with Zach honestly ago, Zack. Zack was always trying to do some scheme to get over on his friends Act in real life is probably a terrible friend. And maybe realize now the hate has the real actors bounced around. I know that I kind of get a kick out of what he plays like middle aged rolls, and he has a beard and I like I'm old. So I like when, when young actors play like high school rolls, and then all of a sudden they're old, too. I get a kick out of that. Right now we're talking to Jim Meme alot He does radio for Sirius X M ine l B radio Jim, we're almost here We are less than a week away from the start of the Major League baseball season. How are you feeling about it? You know, I can't tell if I'm excited because baseball back or I just haven't had anything to look at for four months. And so I'm gonna go hungry man will take anything for a meal or or I'm I'm really interested to see what baseball looks like, in short form in In a 60 games season that I have said on MLB Network radio, You know, because everybody, there's a baseball fan, so they want to play 162. Unlike most of America, Doesn't have the patience for 162 and we have to much There's always rationalizing lots. April. It's too early. It's May It's too early. It's June's too early. Now there's nothing early. It's 60 games. And if you have a bad week to start the season, you're in trouble. Right now we're talking to Jim. Minimal. Oh, he's with serious Exim Satellite radio talking a little bit of baseball. That's what keeps me optimistic. So I host radio in Kansas City, and my stance has been very clear. In a normal year. We wouldn't be having this conversation. This is the team that have no chance of making the playoffs. But because this year is going to be so abnormal, basically, everybody has a chance to compete. What seems? Are you looking at as possible sleepers in the American League in the National League? All right. So I would you know what I'll do. I'll go from the bottom up like the Orioles. No. Go. The Tigers. They've got some really interesting young players, but my biggest intrigue with tigers is that they're going to bring those kids up. Even if they do, I don't think they make any inroads. The Mariners are not gonna be in the mix. Exacts it like the Blue Jays. I could see if they bring up there, stud urinate Pearson. They could. They could make some waves and maybe sneak in there. The White Sox Everybody's Talking about to the point where they're not even a sleeper anymore. The Texas Rangers, you know 60 60 games into the season last year, the Texas Rangers Would have been like 1/2 game out of the second wildcard spot and in the National League, All right, the Giants forget about it. The Pittsburgh Pirates forget about the Miami Marlins. Forget about it. And then if you want to talk to me about almost anybody else, like the other 12 teams in the National League, I'm good, So there's there's like 24 teams. If you want to push it for me in 60 games up, I'll buy into it. That's where I met again, Man. I really look at this like you could make a push for so many different teams. Speaking of push, we have seen some players off down, push themselves out of the season. Whether it's mark price whether it is Buster Posey, David Price cuse me whether it's David Price or Buster Posey, Do you think that's the end of it? Now that we're so close to the season? Do you think we'll see a scenario where here in the next couple of days, another player opts out. Yeah, I do. I do. I think this is going to be a fluid situation. Nobody could be blamed if they want to opt out of whether it's because they've got enough money in the bank, and they're just a little worried about it or or that they've got a health situation in their family circle. Whatever it is The biggest concern for baseball is if guys start bailing out At the end of August because the team's stink and there's no reason to stick around. And and that's okay. A baseball you know, in the N B. A. If you had, like the top stars bailout opt out. The embassy is in trouble. Nobody's going to watch the embassy. If the bottom seven guys at every roster on the court somehow baseball will get away if you don't have any any of the stars that people watch it. It's not a star's league. It's a team league, but they're going to be more opt outs. And the real problem is. Are they going to be a wave of off doubts when it becomes evident that a lot of guys teams just just are going to compete? That's a really good point. We're talking to Jim Meme alot a serious exim satellite radio for a couple more minutes talking Major League baseball. I kind of feel like baseball is waiting and hinging on the decision of Mike Trout. He's the best player in the game. He didn't express the whole lot of certainty at the very beginning of this thing. I don't know how you can call it a legitimate season. If the best player in the game just simply says I'm not playing this year. Except for this the best player in the game. His team has been in the playoffs, three games in his entire career. And again, this goes back to you know the NBA's star Lee and the The MLB is a is a team Lee. It's my trout ops out tomorrow next week, two weeks from now, it could happen. He's got a baby coming, and he's already pasta that you might do it. No, he wouldn't. Honestly, nobody's gonna lose any sleep if half the Yankees out Del Yeah, that's a problem of happy Astros bailout Opt out. That's a problem is half the Dodgers. Do the test positive for opt out. That's a problem that you'll notice..

"At Great American Ballpark and Pascoe Park in Mason. We are a little less than three weeks away from the start of the season and joining us now to discuss the first few days of workouts in the latest Reds news is Mark Sheldon, who does a great job of covering the Reds. For nlb dot com. Mark. I have not been to the ballpark yet for any of these workouts describe how you are doing your job these days. And it's certainly different than we're used to. Um, you know, In some sense, it's like the regular stuff. You're watching batting practice from the press box or you're watching somebody throwing or whatever. The one difference, of course, is that we can't go down to the field or the courthouse to talk to anybody. So we do everything on zoom and that takes some getting used to, But it Yeah, we were pretty, ah, pliable people we can adjust and we're figuring out as we go along, but so far it's been pretty good, and we've been working in the new press box to the new experiences. Well, you do what you've got to do, and that's exactly what you and the other reporters are doing. It's been fun to read about the Reds for the last few days. I see that show go. Akiyama spoke to reporters on a zoom call today. Did anything interesting? Come out of that conversation. Um, just that he did not go to back to Japan. He stays in the United States. You went to Los Angeles, actually, and it always work out three hours a day, five days a week. State of the home of Ah, fellow Japanese player Kenta Maeda, formerly of the Dodgers, now planes. And you know he's got his work in. He's finally seeing Cincinnati. You've been a great American ballpark, certainly for his press conference, but he's kind of experiencing now for the first time as a player, and he's Learning his way. One of the interesting things you mentioned that he's not used to playing on natural grass. So many of the field in Japan, including his former home ballpark is after filters. And he's been figuring that out and just kind of learning his way around. We're talking to Marc Sheldon, who covers the Reds for MLB dot com. You can follow him on Twitter at M underscore Sheldon s. H i e l d. O N Baseball put out this huge manual. I think it's 110 pages on how to deal with Corona virus. Players and coaches can't spit. They can't get in arguments with thumps. They're supposed to wear face masks in the clubhouse. How are they reacting to all of that? And do you see the players and coaches sticking with these protocols? You talking to Joey Votto or Tucker Barnhart. The last couple days once, they pointed out, is very different for them. When they're inside the clubhouse. They are wearing masks. They are keeping their distance. They have, like 25 guys in the regular home clubhouse, the other Tanner in the visitor's clubhouse. They have things kind of think, spread out smaller hitting group smaller, throwing up something like that, but they more or less when they're on the field. It's pretty normal. The only thing you can do that, just for my own eyesight that you consider a little different is some players wear masks. Many of the coaches wear masks, but they're not like all huddled together, but they're doing their work. It looks pretty normal on the field. It's just behind the scenes stuff I can't even see Is where they say it's different that the master being worn at all times. They have to follow everything to the letter of the law, certainly having their temperature taken what we do when we come into the ballpark, so there's Obviously differences, but it's somewhat the same on the field. The old saying in baseball mark is that it's a marathon, not a sprint with 162 games during the regular season, while this year it's a sprint a 60 game regular season that's the equivalent of a six game NFL season. So every game takes on added importance. How much do you think that's going to impact strategy from game to game? Time. I think it's going to be, especially with the pitching sometimes, especially if you're worn out bullpen or they want to give a starter every chance to work out of his own mess. Uh, that's not gonna be available to them this time. I think you're gonna see pictures not doing well or doesn't have it. I could see them having a pretty quick hook and going to the bullpen they're talking about. Maybe panda start having two guys ready to go for the first time, maybe throw three seconds through three or four. And then you Bridget, your bullpen. Certainly the th will be a different strategy. The way they end up figuring out at work, so there's going to be some changes and how they do things. I certainly with the pinch hitter with th There will be need to pinch hit a lot, so there's gonna be Some subtle differences with some major differences and James strategy. The game's gonna move a little faster, nontrivial fordo it but go on too long or what guys work out of mess. Is there going to be pretty on task right away? We're talking to Marc Sheldon from MLB dot com. Trevor Bauer came out publicly a while ago and said that he wants to start every fourth day instead of the usual five. I don't really think that was connected to the Corona virus. That's what he would prefer to do anyway. Any chance that the Reds take him up on that. It's possible. Derrick Johnson, the pitching coach, yesterday said that was 100% on the table That's hoping that they could do Possibly like he would be the only one that would maybe pitch every every fourth day instead of the normal every fifth day, and then the other pictures would work on the regular rest. They would move things around, and certainly they might. I have to do tandem starts here in there, too. So, uh, it's definitely a possibility. Whether it actually happens. We'll have to see Nixon's Elena. You Hani! Oh, Suarez likely would've missed the start of the season with the injuries. How are they doing now? Uh far it looks 100% talked the other day and he fought on admitted that if they opened on March 26 wasn't going to be ready. You still having trouble with the following He was just hitting and th ing it spring turning when everything shut down, but He says the extra time gave him ah, the opportunity he needed to get healthy and it normally says, for at least a month on feeling good throwing, and it looks like you've got no limitations and is also Of fine, no limitations. The first year he was very little effort looked like hitting home runs. Bonnie practice look pretty good, and I've been watching him field so it looks like he's so far so good as well. A few more questions for Reds reporter Mark Sheldon, who covers the team for MLB dot com. The Reds have put together an outstanding rotation. Do you think that That gives them a bigger advantage in a 60 game season, then it would have been a 1 62 I think it does. And I also think that the depth they have assuming no one gets hurt. That's obviously a big X factor. But you have the five guys in Greg Castillo our difficult funny and Miley But then you also have her like like Kyle O'Malley. You have weak Sims on there's some other arms that could happen to you. Even Nikola Dolo, perhaps their first round pick from last year That could be utilised in either bullpen or tandem start situation. And I think that death in general is going to help him. I think you guys are also pretty good Save Castillo. Through two innings today and simulated action. But he said the other day that he'd go out for 67 innings right now, and I think a lot of these guys are in pretty good shape. Driver. You know Trevor. Power, of course, is always in shape. Sonny Gray was throwing in Nashville like and it's like sandlot pipe games, maybe three or four innings, So I think a lot of these guys are further along that maybe we would have expected certainly wasn't the same intensity is a major league game. But I think a lot of you guys kept in shape pretty well. Mark. The Reds have 57 players on their list of 60 possible players in the player pool. What happens to those other three spots? That's a good question. Way know that two players. We don't know who they are the custom positive for covert 19 and they're not here in Cincinnati. I would imagine that maybe those spots to go to those two players, whoever they are. We know they're Dietrich is out there in the universe somewhere. He's still part of the organization that they chose not to Adam At this time. I suppose we could do that. And then then, of course. Like any spring training or summer camp..

Iowa was when claims it was won with Danny Ford just went down and down and down without with other schools, and they used to go around and try to sign up schools where they could brag about having these shoes where their apparel It was very important that you could you had the world this apparel and where would pride and and do the different things And as far as a friend, we would have You know, different type of board meetings where we were travelling mean Maybe Father School West, You nlb at Las Vegas. I would have to travel the farthest for these meetings, but most of the schools were mid West or East Coast or South. East or wherever So we would travel cost country And basically, most of our corporate meetings were in the Bahamas somewhere where it was a long trip for me, but a short trip for them, and we always had it in the spring, when the weather was beautiful and We'd sit around and talk about the different types of equipment, different things we need in coaching. And how did the shoes where And what about the coaching shoes and all the different things that would enhance their catalogue? So it was a great Ah! Opportunity for a week for a bunch of head coaches with their wives. Your wives always invited to go and sort of in clinic type of bored, maybe with about 15 or 20 coaches about their programs and the product, which you sponsored where So, Chuck, That was a great opportunity. Wilson. I had what Wilson because of the Wilson footballs that will you sew with Wilson football. They had gone on that other products to that We were able to work out, Uh, trade with his father for my staff and for different people Buy me representing them. So And then again, you meet other people along the way, where you start sponsorships of other things, cars or other products and you wear the sunglasses and all the different things that these people give you. Uh, you give them exposure that you were their stuff and they get what they need out of it. It's far from television. Coach with that said, having that chance to be inside, you will, And there's so much work and networking that has done it All Star Games and Golf tournaments and shoes. What was something that really you drew out of that experience that really helped you in regards to looking at college football from the different leads? One thing it did. Check. It taught me not to play golf. Because once Ah funny story. Because of AH, being affiliated with pony I would get invited to different golf tournaments is a celebrity of people would pay. Play with you Pay $500 or $1000 to play with the head football coach from UNLV. They had football coach claims and that football coach Of the different places. We'd have these fundraisers for different charities, and I'll never forget the one we had in Santa Barbara. I thought golf was something easy it and play golf. I had attended clubs will set the whole thing. Brand new. You could tell. They've never been used before. And everybody said a coach News out of clubs and, Yeah, I got a new set of clubs and I remember stepping up on the first tee, and there was people in the crowd. People there they don't Now stepping is a coach RV hide from you and I'll be the football coach and I'll never forget. Taking my swing, which hadn't done before and topping the ball of watching the ball just dribble. Dribble down the hill in front of me the first week if I could remember correctly, Chuck, I think I missed the ball and all of a sudden I was a humble person. Finally, about halfway through. The A round of golf. I think the guys paid whatever amount of money they did pay to play with me. Said, Coach Why did you do it all in favor? Why don't you just pick up the ball and throw it because we keep our game going? So that was one of the experiences I had as far as playing golf, Chuck and And I would never really played much golf after that, because I was humbled, humbled and I knew what a tough game it wass and it took a lot of time to play golf. I didn't really have the time to play Gossett bars at the level that I want to be successful at so I sort of put the golf clubs in the closet and call. That is a good experience. You know one thing I didn't do Chuck to and I went out to your question that you asked me during our first question. You asked as Faras, USC and their shoe Company, which is Nike, and so on. I believe their year is now coming up as far as the new contract. As far as with another, you know, could be it Adidas or Nike. Here under armour, Whoever Because of this year being a bad year as Faras financially with these cos I think it's going to be very difficult for any university to cut a big deal for anyone. So why don't we take it up the short time about its 1st 1 of the evening, Anna it should be I should have taken this awhile back, but I got talking with you, Chuck.
