"Normally, if you interview 15 people, you're cutting it down, but hey, I guess they're being thorough. And they're processed. Yeah, I mean, that's the thing. If I'm a jazz fan, I'm looking at this and I'm just saying, great. Because it doesn't hurt you. To interview all these people. And you want to leave no stone unturned. You don't want to find out, oh, this great candidate was out there, but we just didn't bother to interview him because we only wanted to interview 6 or 7 people or something like that, right? So it makes sense. It also makes sense from a relationship building perspective. We talked about this in terms of the draft about bringing in as many players as you can, even if you don't have a pick, where they're projected to fall because you want to start to build that relationship a little bit that may become a factor down the road. Same can hold true for coaches. So I think this makes a ton of sense. Even if my headline didn't. Yeah, no, hey, I'm not going to pick on you too much for that. You're the one right. So you took that work off my plate, so I'll take it. All right, let's move on to let's look at the Detroit Pistons. So they are expected to bring back Marvin Bagley. Of course, they made that trade mid season to get him from the Sacramento Kings. So not a surprise that they're looking to bring him back. But what is surprising is that they are pursuing Dennis Schroeder. Ayton will get to him in just a second, but Dennis schroder has potentially a cheap option on the point guard market, you know, I don't know what Schroeder's market is really going to look like this summer. Obviously didn't have the market that he was hoping for. Last summer, and then started off the season with Keith's Boston Celtics. They got treated midway through to.

"Riding on game four on this one. All right, let's move to some news. On the jazz, willing to listen on trades for Rudy Gobert, but not so Donovan Mitchell that is pretty consistent with what we've been hearing. That they would consider moving him. Of course, Rudy Gobert's contract is something that teams will have to factor in four more years. Max deal, that's some teams will be willing to pay that, but still very, very high impact player. There's going to be suitors out there. It feels more like we're going to push towards a Gobert trade being executed here this summer. Maybe it doesn't happen. Maybe Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert are both on the jazz next season, but this franchise, the coach changing over, it feels like there's more change coming to this team. Yeah, you know better than anybody how I feel about this stuff when there's a lot of smoke. I tend to be all right. There's something here. We're hearing. I mean, it's now getting to be just about every day. We're hearing something about Gobert. Part of that is, I mean, whether you put it on him or the people work for him, then he doesn't exactly always keep things closest to the vest. I will say, though, when he does make moves, they generally tend to come a little out of nowhere. So Gobert is Chicago, the vucevic stuff that we've heard, I don't know about all that. But it was a surprise at all if he gets moved. It wouldn't shock me if there's some different team that jumps in on him that we haven't heard even worried about. And says, hey, yeah, we think he easily guy. I do think though it's going to be important if you trade him. It can't be for like a rebuilding package because you still got Mitchell so you're trying to still be competitive and keep him happy too. So we'll see. But I think you're right..

"I think that the whole out, but yeah. All right. All right, moving on. We do need to get to the nets. Potentially trading Nick claxton. Yeah. And it makes some sense from the salary cap perspective. They are way, way over the cap way into the tax. I want to say tax alone. I'm going to talk about their salaries. Tax alone, they're well over a 100 million. They've got to be what like a 110 ish? Let's see, they're at, they are 35 million over, which puts them in the yeah, you got to be up over a 100 million total what's especially what you combine. That's in penalties plus salary. Yeah. Like the salary cap is what one 13 this year. One, yeah, almost one. It's one 12.4. So right about there. Their luxury tax payment could is more than a full team's salary, right? Which is amazing. So let's do some math because this will be fun. So they're $35.3 million over the tax line. So that's not even that's not the penalties. That's just the initial number there over. The if we just count guys on roster for the Oklahoma City Thunder right now, there are 46.1 million for guys on roster. Now their number is higher because they have canvas for that journey on their boats and stuff. But just their roster players right now they're in 46.1 million. So they're about 11 million higher than the nets. And then just for reference, the nets are not the highest in the league. That's the warriors at 39.3 million. But still, yeah, it's a big number. But in any event, though, they are considering trading neglects. And part of that might be salary cap related. I think more for next year than this year. Because this year, he's only at 1.8 million. He's finishing up that contract. He signed with them as a second round pick. But then he's a restricted free agent this summer. Unless you're really committed to giving him something around mid level money, I think some team might want to throw that number out there, you'll probably somewhere 8 to 12 million, starting salary. If you're the Nats unless you're really interested in going there, you're probably looking at insane. No, we got a we won. Again, not exactly like the Lakers because they have a couple other places, places they could go to to create trade. Avenues. But he's probably the young player that's actually tradable on the roster as the most value. My question would be, don't you kind of need him?.

"This is a really good Christmas Slade full of what should be really interesting games. So you know what I miss? I miss the Christmas jerseys. Yeah, yeah. I kind of like them. Some of them. I liked when they got a little too ugly Christmas sweater looking out on that but yeah, the special Christmas jerseys. Yeah, those were fun. I mean, but God, these teams already have like 19 different jerseys. And that's why. That's why I would get rid of some of the alternates that they've got one of them or something like that and then just rock the Christmas Jersey one day. Yeah. Because some of them are getting pretty ridiculous. But I'm not a fan of the Lakers alternate truth at this point. But you and me, that's me with most of what they've come up with for the Celtics alternates. But how nice was it? We didn't talk about it because we were both a little under the weather after, but the Celtics Lakers game the other night, one thing I will say it was really nice about it was Celtics in their traditional road greens because of their home yellow. It's exactly what it should be. That's how it should be when they're when they're in LA. That's what it should be and when they're in Boston. Should we boss them in their whites? And Lakers and Brooklyn. Yes. Off we go. Yeah. Why did we change this? It just looks still. And I wish I feel like old man yelling at a cloud, right? But why did we change this from anything other than you have a home Jersey? You have an a wager, mix in an alternate every now and then and call it good. Why are we doing this thing where you can get whatever like the one that's really driven me nuts and this is just because obviously I covered the Lakers, but Lakers wearing yellow in Golden State wearing it just looks wrong. And you see those kind of matchups all the time around the NBA..

"They're more of a an additional piece to a trade. I guess if you wanted to move nurkic, you could put one of those guys in, that pluses up your salary, pluses up the value of your package and go get something there. But yeah, I think they're bigger challenges. Gave me Lillard's out for probably at least a few more days. I was going to be reevaluated. I think it's going to be this weekend, is when we're going to hear a little bit of news on him. CJ McCollum is indefinitely. He's got a new mole thoracic collapsed right loan. There was funny I saw some people saying like, is this just because he's really just holding him up because of trade stuff? No, he got crushed on a drive against the Celtics and went down hard barely was able to get up and it was initially ribs, which is one of the things that gets presented when you have a collapsed lung. They often think you have a rib issue. So yeah, and then Anthony simons is out. Day to day with an ankle injury, Cody zeller is out. So it's rough right now. And that's the thing. Now, this is an MBA two K where one a player gets injured. You can't trade them. That's not a thing that happens in real life. I don't know why that game has that restriction. That's very stupid to me. But which is probably why I don't play it. Because I go on my soapbox here. But I think the bigger challenge for the trailblazers is I didn't realize that it had gotten to this point, but they're now 11th. They've slipped behind the kings. In the play in race here. Congrats kings, your plan team. You're no season team. Okay, sure. Let's be clear. But much like it is in the Eastern Conference. There are 11 and 15. They are only four games out of home court advantage behind the Memphis Grizzlies because that's things are still super compact. So it's easy to see them get healthy, go on a big run and really push up the standings. Here, but yeah, I don't know where this goes. All I know is them in Indiana, everybody's going to have their eyes on them now for the next two months until it's a deadline. Yeah, absolutely. They're a team that can 100% make the kind of NBA altering move, whether that's not probably not Damian Lillard now, but CJ McCollum certainly an interesting piece that could land a lot of different places. Of course, we've heard the Simmons rumors with CJ McCollum being the centerpiece of the Portland package, whether or not the 76ers are interested in that is, of course, up for debate. But you mentioned the injury thing that the collapsed lung and are they just holding them out for a trade or something like that. That's not the injury you go to if you're holding out a player for a trade purpose, right? That's where you go with something nondescript like, oh, he's dealing with a back issue or something like that. You don't go to collapsed lung to keep a player out because they're in trade dogs. Yeah, absolutely. You don't, yeah, you would say always got a sore ankle or you just get back soreness or whatever. It used to be for a while they would use a flu like symptoms. I think we've gotten away from that one for good reason over the last couple of years. So yeah, it's there. But yeah, trade deadline. I really just realized two months from today. I was trying to find as we're recording this on December 10th..

"So that makes sense that they would go land a couple of players like this that they can just kind of plug and play wings that can help get them by. At this point, you could probably include demar Derozan in there. I mean, he's been rumored to play for the Lakers so many times. So he's trying to do it's just never worked out. But yeah, yeah, I mean, tough for the bulls, right? They're just going through right now with COVID and then the actual injuries to Caruso, Patrick Williams. Poor Colby white gets back. He's only back for like a week, and then he's off into the COVID protocol. So yeah, it's going to be a little bit touch and go for them right now. They're really going to be working through it's going to be a lot of Levine and booch. They need Lonzo to step up. And then this is where that bench depth is tested now. I've been critical of their depth in the past. Anybody would be in rough shape with this many guys out 5 players in the health and safety plus two injuries. Yeah, you're going to be doing rough shape there, but yeah, I'm very curious to see where this team looks like in a couple weeks before these guys are all back. Yeah, it's something where the bulls, again, when they're healthy, this team is fantastic. Yeah, they're as good as the box and the nets, I think. Absolutely. And which has been which has been amazing. It's been amazing how good they've been this season. Not certainly not what we would have projected for them, but they got to get healthy here. And yeah, it's been certainly a disappointment. We're seeing this around the league where we've got the more and more cases that are falling into health and safety protocol. Speaking of which we're finishing out the show here with Rick Carlisle, the Indiana Pacers even have a cancel practice, masayo giri. There's also a canceled practice. Good news audit Toronto reports are no positive tests among great players. So that's good. That is indeed good news, but this is something that is starting to rear its ugly head again as a bigger and bigger issue. We're not at the point where we've lost any games or had to postpone any games like we saw last season, but it feels like that may be kind of the direction things are heading at this point. Hey, let's talk about doubles for a second just because I wanted to pull up what their schedule looks like. So they play the heat on Saturday. And then it's pretty light Detroit, Toronto. I'm promised I'm not taking a shot, but the Lakers aren't, but we thought they would be. Then Houston, Toronto again, in Indiana. That gets you just past Christmas. And by that point, these guys should hopefully be back. That's 16 more days. So even if it's the full ten day absence and then a handful of days on the back end, for reconditioning, that should get you back to these guys back. So that's fairly favorable. I would say, especially this year where it's just hard to cherry pick wins off anybody's schedule just because they're so few truly terrible teams. Right. I think getting Toronto twice in their Detroit Houston, they do get the Lakers at home and it's an afternoon game on a Sunday..

"That's why that is working. So it's kind of become that two guard spot. If anything, they really need offensive creation because it's Darius Garland and Ricky Rubio and nobody else. It's no one else can create anything for themselves or their teammates. And that's what levert can do. Is he a perfect player? No, he's pretty inefficient at times. What do we shoot? He tends to go through these turnover, binges, we're throwing it all over place. But here's the other thing if you're the calves. If you've decided, yeah, we're not going to resign Colin Sexton. Just the money is going to be too much or whatever the reason being. You could put Sexton in a guy like jetty Osmond together with a pick and go get carousel of art. I would imagine. Because if on the pacers, then I'm looking at it as, all right, now we can resign Sexton, probably to a more team friendly deal because he's coming off the injury than what it might have been otherwise. Osman is okay, I guess. And then we get a pick and we start to this rebuild retool reset process, whatever they're going to call it. Yeah, and you know what? Let's say both players were healthy. Who would you rather have Colin Sexton or Keras liver? Colin Sexton agreed. So if you're the pacers, you're selling yourself on that, right? If we're going to start rebuilding, then this season doesn't matter that much choice anyway. So if we lose the production of Karis levert, okay, that's just going to increase our draft pick. This coming off season or increase our lottery odds anyway. And then in the long run, which is what you care about more now if you're in a rebuild, you get arguably the better player. I like that that deal a lot for both sides. I like that for the pacers and I like that too to give a boost to the calves. You know, you look at the cabs, they're 5 and 5 in their last ten. The teams ahead of them, though, the heat and the wizards are both foreign 6. There may be some opportunities for them to move up, but they've also got some good teams behind them the 76ers. The hawks, you have to imagine these teams are going to continue to improve your Celtics are going to get jaylen Brown back when that starts to happen. The cabs have got to make sure that they're keeping up with the Joneses so to speak. So landing a guy like levert, even if it means sacrificing arguably, again, the better player and Colin Sexton might make sense for a Cavs team that could really jump up in terms of the perception of them around the NBA if they solidify themselves as a playoff team. So I like that deal a lot Keith for both sides. Yeah, I just think it's one of those things to you have to factor and it means a lot to Cleveland to be in the postseason. They haven't been in there in a long time. And ideally, you'd want to beat 6 and be in the actual playoffs, but even to get to the play into the play in. I think this is also a deal that it's not bad long-term, because then you have levert next year too, because he is under contract. You could really kind of then what do we look and like? Do we still like the three big grouping? How does this work with levert here? Can we upgrade and maybe move him into like a super 6 man role where daily just can kind of do his thing on second units and cook off the bench for us? What does that look like?.

But Turner would still average more blocks than really go bear if he had four block less games. So he gets the title And this apparently, is a longstanding little used rule book work for the MBA that you can kind of do this backwards math, and it keeps Myles Turner as the block shot champion for the season. Nadia. We just ran through the Tony LaRussa situation. What? "Deal with Boston to get Gordon Hayward to bring him in had to do a sign-and-trade get Gordon Hayward in and they were willing to part with Myles Turner and the Celtics there's two different versions of this. If you hear the Celtics version of it, they'll say that well here we got a bigger offer from Charlotte then he wanted to go there so we couldn't do a job. Deal with the Pacers the other version of it is but the non Celtics based version of it is that Danny Ainge wanted more from the Pacers and tried to squeeze more out of the deal and the Pacers said no way forget. This is guy. That's probably that's leaving you in free agency anyway, and then that fell apart and so he would went to the Hornets which one is true. I don't know everybody Celtics side that I talked to says, it's the same it's the first one but the bottom line is that Myles Turner was to some degree on the market this last season. He is the league leader in blocked shots right now, which is I mean great the Lakers need Rim protection and he's a guy that can certainly do that. He can also go out to the three-point line. I was only shooting about 31% from deeper right now, which is not good enough, but for his career, he's 35% So if there's a little bit of positive regression to the mean there you guys know my favorite phrase. I he he could very well wind up being a real threat from behind the arc enough potentially to stretch the defense the same way that Marcus all theoretically would the only problem is he's dead. 18 million and so in order to pull this move remember I talked to the beginning of the show about opportunity cost in order to make a trade for Myles Turner. And by the way, there's several teams in the running, right the Knicks are also they're off the clippers. The Pelicans were mentioned. I believe there's one other team as well. All these teams are interested in him. If you're going to make a move for them and you're going to get that 18 million dollars in salary, you're going to have to include kcp and trez you're you're going to have to include like Dennis Schroder at sixteen million and then throw in like th t or something like that. Are you willing to give up all of that to get Myles Turner or would you rather go a cheaper route? If you decide you're going to trade for a big and go after Hassan Whiteside with the Kings which certainly would not cost nearly as much or go even cheaper and just keep Damian Jones. Myles Turner is clearly the best player out of that group. But are you willing to pay what it costs to get him compared to what it would cost to get his own wage? Side compared to maybe you can get Andre Drummond on the Bayou Market compared to just keeping Damian Jones. There's lots of different options there and lots of different price tags for these guys..

"You're going to get away with things against them that most teams don't give you right you're going to get driving lanes that most teams will close off. So Taylor Horton Tucker was not as pressured tonight. So perhaps they're not allowed him to slow down a little bit but still it feels like there was a bit of a maturation in th DS game over the last two games. That doesn't mean it's going to stick that doesn't mean that he's not still going to be a roller coaster where we're going to see some bad games or or to see a few good games, but I felt like this was one of the first times this season were the only times that season where we've seen tht look like he was very very under control for almost the exact. Our game and he looked like the game had started to slow down for him. You know, there was a season I believe it was what two or three three seasons into the Brandon Ingram is a Laker experience off. We saw things click you saw the game start to slow down and suddenly without having to put in as much physical effort. He was still getting to a spot wage because he was reading the game differently. He was processing things differently and I'm not saying that to you. She's making that leap right now. That was when Ingram went from being hey, this guy's kind of underperforming what's going on here to suddenly things click then they continue to click when he got traded to the Pelicans, but for THD, it felt like that. Again, I'm not saying he's making that leap. This is a bad team. He did this against but it was a good sign and I'm really excited about seeing that from him because I think eventually not even not happen this season, but eventually that's going to be more than Norm as far as what we get from him. I think his touch his read passing. The ball is really really impressive. I think he's I kind of feel like he's a better passer than he understands then he knows he is because he can really pass the basketball still make some mistakes out there, but this was a very strong performance from him. Back into the chat Tyler Hanes from YouTube piggybacking off of what I'm saying. Here's the Trevor with this recent stretch from tht. Would you bring him off the bench before Caruso when he comes back? I you know, I would not I would not I would not bring them off the bench before crew. So I think Caruso has proved himself. He's one of the best defensive players in the NBA now, I would play tht over West Matthews absolutely suck. So I'm looking at my bench back court as being Caruso and then and then tht those are my two guys, but I'm not playing him over that like, I would trust Caruso in a situation to the fourth quarter more than I would touch trust THD and ghd is a much more versatile player than Caruso is a much more Dynamic player. But Caruso is a guy that's just steady and just makes winning plays so given the fact that the Lakers our team that's contending for a championship..

"But I mean you raise three freaking dollars. I mean two of them are going to be in the office for years and years to come and I'm sure he's like the most annoying dad in the world. It sounds you get that vibe that Lanza's like just like, all right, Dad like just like back back like get out of my you're bothering me like I'm embarrassed to me like go away you get that Vibe but like at the end of the day like I mean, you gotta got a tip your hat to them like you did both fantastic. Yeah, they're great players and want to say life. They seem like good dudes to I mean, I don't know them personally, but I have no reason to seem like I said than they're dead, right? Yeah. Yeah, they probably spent their entire challenges like apologizing for dads of the probably pretty nice guys. They they they had with the marketer cuz honestly those two novels are the new program, right if I'm not mistaken. Yeah, Mel had a game that like I gained a bit. Usually spoke to people. There's only there's only one mellow bro. Yeah, he's a man or he's a man of many words. Yeah alonso's, you know, very very quiet his gains flashy, but she quit neither of those guys are going to ramp up a bunch of noise and Fanfare around themselves. So and maybe even two dad and like three times ever dad took some took the he probably like took the distractions away from the players maybe a little bit but also like kept them in the Limelight a little so know he created some distractions. But yeah, we definitely you know, just a marketing it was the market thought. He I'm not going to get parenting tips here cuz I'm not a parent but like I guess now he probably needs to just like sort of like let them do their thing now, it's like you you did your job dad like, you know, you did it like you should just like sit back and enjoy now kind of like, what do you guys do and I think that's a good thing cuz I didn't I didn't expect that at all. I thought at first I thought he was I thought he was here to stay, you know for at least the first few years so I think wage Well, the media was like letting them to the latest got to and they they the Lakers and LeBron once a week came. It was like that's it. We're done with this. No more distractions. LeBron was a you see Alonzo with a conversation came up like months before it even happened about you know, how hey your son is a is a key asset for this team, you know as during this throughout this rebuilding process off or they would never trade my Sunday. Well actually like you sort of disappeared right? You just didn't see much of them, even though disappearing before that. It was little by little but then it was just like you could please okay, my son has to really focus right now because he's not in La anymore. It's not about marketing anymore. Like he's made it. It's a yeah, right. And so I ended up with the tough entry into the way you going to La and having to wake yourself and all that and now he's moved on the less scrutiny in New Orleans and Florida. Yeah for lamelo. What were some of the options he could have gone to number one was Minnesota number two was Golden State. So again, Minnesota would have been pretty low-key too. But Golden State it would have been you know, that would have been something we do. Yeah, so they goes to Charlotte and no one watches them and there's no there's no Fanfare around them at all. You know, it's I some highlights and all that stuff..

"Which is insane because if you didn't get traded God forbid they would have they would have never known crazy and they kept him they could have went back in the whole deal. But you know, you know, we're going to we're going to ride with this dude. Yep. Yeah, he's coming back soon. They knew it was treatable and all that so they decided I will keep them. Yeah, I'm still going to Brooklyn though, right and and he's a great player for them. So, I mean they're going to get better mileage bonus man. He's like a polished veteran already. I mean his dad is arvydas sabonis. So what do you expect right but and he's an All-Star now, they named him of the team. He gets his million bucks to start off slow post moves like man. He's just I mean, he won't talk about Rob Williams. He you know, he worked Rob Williams. So I mean there's certainly, you know, we talked about Rob Williams, but there's certainly a lot of room for growth for Rottweilers. When you look at a guy like supervise us at such a young age and like the stuff that he's already doing. I mean his passing is a big man. It's not a surprise cuz our Vita sabonis was an absolute Savage on the Trailblazers one of the best European basketball players of all time and he gave me away so it wasn't even his prime. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. This guy's is he the most underrated player in the league. He probably is Sabonis. Yeah, he's up there because he's in Indie so he's kind of buried and you know, hello, who's the most underrated player right now just like that's funny. I was just thinking about it. I feel like it changes every couple of years right A couple of years ago. It was yogesh. But now the Secret's out, right, it was kind of that guy for a little while. Then he got hyped up big money Booker was you know, those first couple of years in Phoenix thoughts pieced now when I finally got in so that's a good question. Yeah, you know what? I think that's that's fitting. I think that that label fits in for this for the season at least but the choice it's out this I think the secret silly coming out on him to write I mean, yeah, if they make them bigger playoff run this year if they really their hump has been the Celtics the southeast just keep beating them in the playoffs. So I have a chance to meet again this year in India will get a chance to really Hammer home the fact that they didn't do that trade. I think that's good for tonight guys does change sets and stuff yesterday, but I don't think it's worth. Passion. I was a lot of the same stuff a lot of this is good. Yeah, so we got Sunday, it's Celtics Wizards. I want to say it's a night game dresswe. Yes. We're going to do wizards again. Yeah, here we go. Another under five hundred team that could try to break that straight. Yeah, they are closing in on a playoff race. And in fact off yesterday before the Celtics got this win Boston was only one game of Washington and the last column so they were one game from falling 13th from 9. And that's in June is supposed to be the the easy part, right? Cuz after this Gee's Clippers Raptors Nets Rockets Jazz nine games and 14 days Raptors on fire these games these go along way for the Celtics not only you know in the standings now because we have to keep a close eye on the standings because they want to fall under five hundred, you know, but also heading into the All-Star break..

"Smith like you made a sound like Thursday. You mean like something small like that can really help this team. But like let's say so there's different levels to this like obviously wouldn't give up Robbie young that's just on a wait on that if if it was Barnes, you probably still say no right like barns were really help this team, but let go a rub hurts your future kind of hurts you now, too. I don't know. Sacramento would do that even luge Avec. No. No, I don't think this would do that. Yeah, that would help you pretty significantly you're talking about an all stars been doing it for years. He's you know, so you wouldn't do it for him. I would strongly consider it. Yes, totally definitely. Absolutely. I mean Bobby what is Robert Williams is ceiling is he going to be better than boosted bench know but I think he fits better off. If if that makes sense you please twelve minutes a game but I mean into the future like Brad said you have this expectation that Brad's going to play in like 20 forever, especially if he keeps getting better now, he might Plateau this might be like the quintessential Rob luckily. They probably have a better idea of where that's headed we do but if this is upside here and he projects to be the future starting a cost control like again, I think what's really awesome about Rob right now is you can probably extend and for what like ten to twelve million a year just wait like it wouldn't it wouldn't be all that much and who traffic May 28th, right? So who can fix pretty much better player at this point. I was what kind of rebounding what I don't know what you want. I'm saying if you can if you can If you can package a bunch of pics, if you can package a bunch of you know, lower-level assets package a bunch of 25th overall picks and expect money. I mean, that's what the Thunder did the song Rocket said. That's why we're teams are looking for now. It feels like yeah, George. I mean when Bobby let's set up a booby trap for the CP conversation. I didn't see coming. I didn't I didn't expect to see there. But here we are, it's Rob again. It's just it all circles back to rub the point being you have the tpe but you need I in my opinion you need to prove an asset to go with your pics for obvious reasons. And obviously you need to match. You know, I just think a team wants a player back to you can't just be a complete sell. They want to get a guy that they that they can at least, you know bring on bring into the fold build around have you know, some sort of effect..

"I mean, I think a lot of him taking a taking on the blame and taking on accountability is directly into the correlation is directly with those two signings. I think, you know, I think his daddy saying look I messed up, you know, people can think what they you know, but the whole Gordon Hayward situation and how we handled that but I think Danny is really kicking himself about those two sidings and right now Brash the two of them are just trying to fix it at this point, you know, it's it's interesting. Letting Rob Williams out the cage a little more as a big part of fixing it. I think it's interesting you say that because he was on the radio as well yesterday asked a million different questions. Oh, well, it's nice talking about Rob right? You're not going to switch the topic. Are you it's like the parade know but on Thompson real quick cuz Joe sway is talking about buyer's remorse a he did say there were a couple of things he wished. He could have done better thank goodness long ways to rectify it traces. We could have made that maybe would have made somewhat of a difference. I don't know Thompson and Thompson to you. I fucked up guys my Battlenet like you say no phone service again. Again. We're harping way too much on Teague of right the rotation setting. That's really that's true. I listen. He might he might yeah, maybe a little buyer's remorse Johnson, but I would actually thought that he was talking more along the lines of like Hayward maybe just huge maybe he just feels like we should just paid a word more. I have no idea if that's I have no idea what you know what I use. That but now I'm thinking he's like man I could have milked that before Jordan came along. I don't know. That's my thing. That's yeah, or maybe maybe he was talking about Pacers trade if there was one..

"You know, obviously the last couple of games here is paid off Wednesday to he proved it out there. The only capable player. And that disgraceful game. I don't think any of us watched that one too closely. I don't think we jump back into the film. But if he did it was probably a lot of positive T stuff there too. That made him feel happy. You could be the first guy off the bench and this one and I love that rotation. It was all this talk. How you going to get the ball pop in Zack low rates that they're 28th and assist percentage NBC's pulling out the hockey game that I guess they were almost last or dead last and that's that. I don't really care about how hockey assist but you saw you saw unit. Yeah secondary assess. They only have two again. So paying Pritchard Jeff Teague Jayson Tatum, Erin E Smith, Rob Williams, when I see a line up like that starting a second quarter that's activity that's movement in cutting which is what Brad emphasized pre-game and a couple different guys who can handle the rock between protruding and pay him and when you have multiple ball hang out on the floor and even a center drawn who can pass a little bit now ball is just going to start bouncing all over the place. They saw a nice transition 34 Nesmith. You saw Tatum's nice dump off to Pritchard on the back line cutting off. Ron Richard ton of activity in that pick-and-roll between them the ball just started flying around everywhere with that group and the bench was awesome tonight. It was like one of the smoothest bench transition point that we've seen all season really as a whole the Celtics looked like that team that's already in three for the first time since that stretch all all all in all tonight. We need to dig a little bit more deeper into the bench and talk specifically about maybe the player of the bench and close to the player of the game. Thank you very much. Robert Williams. That's a that's a nice that line. Look at that snow everyone. Can we just take a moment to think of his middle name? And you realize he doesn't know you're right. I thought you said Robert. I was supposed to make it up and I was like, I can do that Robert Williams the third Jack game last night guess his middle school, you know, the funniest thing is we first name first name is thing that happens was a week ago when Ernie was talking about it was half time. He was like, oh, you know, but I am Pascal been doing this thing. What would you think Shaq is Jack goes? I don't know about this Pascal guy, but she outcomes the one doing it for me. I believe that his first name and then and then to make it worse. He's like, oh, come on, man. Everyone calls everyone by their last name. No one says, what's the same guy said it was Malik monk, which like okay. That's that's probably what you're saying. You do you call them Eli? Yah, Eli monk Immanuel quickley was hard cuz that's like the second best rookie class. You can definitely know who a manual quickly is among but then when it got too I mean who was the obvious one Michael Munger something something with an M..

"Thirty two points a night like he used to when he was with the you know, Charlotte Hornets because obviously he has other other weapons and Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. So I just think when he's out there, you know swarming like wage sure. It's it's obviously a good thing for the something's they need a whole lot of that but his facilitating is equals equally as important for the team because when he's getting other guys involved and instilling confidence, it makes a difference in tonight is a great example of that the day no ties make that three-pointer if Kemba Walker isn't giving him the ball throughout, you know, all four quarters. I'm not hundred percent sure of that, you know, and obviously it's not just one game, you know, when he's out there Daniel theis in fact that he's looking for, you know, it's not just Daniel theis it's looking for the best option and he gets arrested involved. Yeah, he's freedom you can roll down low getting it getting it to the spot where he needs it, you know, you know that that makes him so special and obviously, you know, if he's not scoring feel like he's going to give you some of that but when he's scoring this is the end result of that, you know, seeing him put it all together the way he did tonight in the influence he has on his teammate wage. Is what makes him so valuable for this team? We talked about value outside the Celtics it diminishes, you know, it diminishes in a big way, but on this team, he's very valuable, especially when he's this official right? I mean, it's be careful what you wish for is a lot of Celtic fans and I've you know, even at points probably on this show. I'm not going to say who but maybe certain people didn't want him a walker dead on the roster or you know, taking shots and and what not. And again you need like Jos we just said you need his office because there's not a lot. There's just not a lot of there's not a lot of thoughts on this team. That's not that's not hot take that's not breaking news. Especially the way that Tatum struggling right now with his shot. Jaylen Brown is coming back down to earth. If you don't have Kemba Walker shooting, you know, the way he is and again, I mean, he's not going to drop three 2 at night, but he's going to need to give you 20 plus a night if you want to compete in these games because that that they're they're not a deep team. They are top-heavy team and yep. But Walker needs to be against Kemba Walker. So it was good to see tonight. And the thing about Kemba Walker that I love is that he's he's been there done that he's cardiac Kemba for a reason. He didn't just earn that nickname overnight. I mean, this is a true veteran in the NBA guy who has led teams in the past. I'm not saying he has a long history of playoff wins and all this stuff. But you know, he's made a name for himself in college back in Europe gone all the way through the pros and Charlotte..

"We saw that a lot throughout this game. So I think you know, I have to mention I had to start off with talking about Daniel Tiger's obviously we'll get into the meat of what what happened. Celtics win the the top three things that happened that really push the team to win this game, but I had to give a shout out to Daniel theis because I think he's a key part of the starting lineup and so is that confidence and he and you know, we've been talking about it the last couple games but he really showed out tonight for sure like for for all four quarters. Yeah Daniel theis that's that's Celtics. They give me one word that came to mind when a taste hit that three in the fourth quarter crap done. It was no no no, no, no, no, no, no, no as the shot was going up but I was just stunned that it went down Bobby. You said it before we went on it might have been the biggest shot of his career. I mean, yeah, it's up there. I mean obviously it's it's, you know, it's raised using game and missed a lot of big jobs. That's that's why you're saying no no. No, they're just not a big ones. He had been called for a couple of fouls like right before then, you know, I thought were you know, one of them was a stupid file on his part the only one I didn't think he fouled them. Right into the basket there. That was kind of a BS call but it is Ty. So so it is what it is. Just what you said one thing when you started tonight that you said the Celtics didn't revert to their old selves. However, there was one player who did revert to his old self and that is Kemba Walker the player who needed to revert to his old self because his old boss awesome. That's right. Although that's what I said a couple of shows ago. Was that Kemba Walker needs to be Kemba Walker. Stop trying to make Kemba Walker somebody else. You don't sign Kemba Walker to turn off Alonzo ball or turn him into some point guard that you know, can't shoot her won't shoot and is only relying on you know dishing the ball to other players. Who by the way are in the midst of a serious struggle some of them. I won't name names Jayson Tatum Kemba Walker needs to take the reins and be Kemba Walker and I thought that's exactly what you did today. He looked comfortable out there. Yep. He has been the shots were falling and that's why I apologize last week or earlier. I forget when I actually did it was a few games ago. I said listen hand up apology. Can't hit me with it because he looks like basically off like, he looks like Kemba Walker and then he struggled, you know the next game obviously and everyone was saying, you know, you should have apologized. I apologize because health health wise physically. He looks great out there and off the production like you did tonight was just a matter of time before it comes more consistently that's been the issue right is consistency with the shot and comfortability with the shot not physically. He looks good. Yeah authorities you're playing a sec. But I was looking at the numbers on Campbell coming into this because of course it losing every game he sits and I think it's not four or five straight that when he's on those back-to-back save loss..

A Deep Dive Into Rudy Gobert After the Jazz Lose To Denver
"Talk about Rudy. Gobert. What? What do we want to know about mr. Gaubert because I thought before today and obviously today is Sunday. I thought before the day that he was running away with the defensive player of the year award. And then today happened today happened. I would not go as far as running away with the defensive player wage. I thought he was running away. I thought it was a significant gap between him and everybody else. So I totally understand why you would say that their top five and defense coming into town today. They're really really good team Utah. They are arguably playing better before today than anybody in the NBA just point blank. Especially now that the Lakers have hit like off a bit of a bit of a malaise having said that I'm still saying Anthony Davis Ford Prince of player of the year because they've number one defense and he's the one the keys the number one defense in the NBA off. He's by far the most versatile defender in the NBA Rudy I think is a reasonable like honestly probably would be second for me right now Myles Turner has a case sneaky class that I've been advocating as much as I can Larry Nance would probably be in my top five right now. He is the whole reason that the Cavs have a reasonable defense. Yep. Right now a top-10 defense, but I digress nonetheless Rudy gobert has been very very good for the Utah Jazz this year and I thought that Utah's games this week. We're kind of a perfect encapsulation of the Rudy gobert experience against Dallas. He was the reason that they just come holy month and utterly annihilated the Mavericks in both of those games and I watched the first one close cuz I bet on Dallas because Utah was without Donovan Mitchell was without a favors and Dallas was getting back Dorian finney-smith was getting back to like Powell. I thought that they'd take that energy and catch you too on the back end of a back-to-back and be kind of run away with that game and that absolutely one hundred percent was the wrong side to be on and in large part. It was because of the incredible grass. City that Rudy gobert holds as a pick-and-roll offensive threat, he is completely obliterated kristaps porzingis in that in those two games like butterwood obliterated him like wipe them off the face of the Earth on both ends. He averaged 23 points and 16 rebounds. He had like three blocks. He had a couple of steals. He was dead thing that people who are Jazz fans and that yell from the rooftops about Rudy. Gobert. He was everything in those two games that people say about Rudy being like a top-12 impact player in the NBA. You'll hear sometimes in this game today against Denver Nikola jokic made him look like a parking cone on defense and
