"I've like Thompson, but he's been Miles and Miles better than Thompson has and are in the Night Like This rebounding this weakness, but he had a strong rebounding night here. So what do you have been the perfect big? What do you have solved fam? What do you solve them be all those different things? Who knows but he's playing fantastic this year. He looks like he does things up a topics need and on top of it. All you could flip him later. He's more tradable than it seems than it seemed at the time which is an argument. I made then even at eighteen million dollars you would rather have them Turner and Doug McDermott who wouldn't be a forward-facing crate option, but would be helping this team right now as wing. There you have a Jimmy. They should have done the deal. And when Dany Ain says they were things we could have done. I think this is what he's talking about. So they have it off. Honest to God. That was a good apology John's going to be upset that he missed it. But I'm sure he's going to be watching it back again. I expected a lot more from Thompson Thompson's defense is disappointed me to a point where life you have a bad Defender at center right now versus the defensive player of the year at Center. I mean that's just undeniable. You would pay nine million more for the defensive player of the year, mentioned how you don't like how issues threes though. I don't I mean come on you saw it again tonight. He hit him early missed them late missed the free throws and the crunch crunch time. I have my gripes about and but he's young. He's not he's not twenty-eight million eighteen pretty high, but it's fine like he's worth it and he nothing and he's got upside. Yeah, and we we talked about like the possibility of improving his job. A system which was certainly a possibility and now it's gone, you know, he's he's improved so much this year that the pace is probably just going to keep them. Right and the other thing that I forgot to mention is like dead one of the reasons it didn't the subjects bring in Brad Stevens so that he I mean he could fix a player or improve improve a player just like this. I mean if you don't have faith that a young player like Myles Turner if you had with him at age twenty-four twenty-five, however old he is. I don't know exactly I know he's young. Let's put it that way..

"Go ahead. No, it's a real quick. He never shut it down. Whereas Victor Oladipo you remember like a week or two after the initial reports. He's just like I don't know who saying these things, but I haven't heard anything about me getting treated miles to never did that. He never shoved down. Okay, so I don't know what like you guys I don't know. What's true. And what isn't I don't know if Danny Ainge had the deal on the table. Yeah, let's just pretend it was cuz it probably was to make it. All right. Let's for the sake of argument to say that it was they could have gotten Myles Turner and Doug McDermott back and coordinated were goes to Indy which I'm stunned. He didn't go to India because I just assumed Robin was calling all the shots and if she was like yo, we're going to Indy he's gone in D. So maybe that extra maybe that extra money was determining Factor. I'm sure it probably was but God if the question is did Danny Ainge make a mistake if that was an offer. I think the answer is very obvious. Yes, you're basically talking about you could have Myles Turner and Doug McDermott or Tristan Thompson and a tpe that you may or may not use right. So for all the fan off. And for all the Celtics reporters who were saying Myles Turner is not even any good. He stinks like here Tristan Thompson and the TV is way better than Myles Turner. I just hope that you guys take a freaking lap because you're wrong you're wrong and you're so quick to defend Danny Ainge and Brad Stevens and Celtics their Celtics that and you want to poo poo the fans who see a good player in Myles Turner see what he's capable of being a stretch big who's young and are pretty good contract of which I heard many times was untradeable. You're going to sit there and off right now Bobby that Myles Turner contract is untradeable. I don't think so. So it's very funny how quickly The.

"I know they they were you know, something like they needed. I know they need it. It's just a matter of what you're going to give to get it. I mean again, are you are you doing it for this season again? Bobbie? Are you are you still alive? Thought would be all about this year. Well, no way you got them on three years, right? But you know what? I mean by that Bobby like you want it for the Celtics you're doing it because you know, it gives you a chance to get mix it up make it to the file. They're not dead. And thinking I was going to make us a little better know you make this deal saying okay, we're giving you a rookie are you know top pick a little last draft because we want to win now and later, you know, you make that move because you think if you don't make it you're not you don't have a chance to get to the NBA finals. So I'm going to can we skip Turner? Is that fine know we're not gonna head home quick buck head turner quick little circle back to this cuz ain't talked yesterday. But if you want to hit on Taryn, it will do that for a few minutes here. So Miles Turner great game tonight, you know hits us three boxes off Defensive Player of the Year caliber player all those things. This situation is hard to read because I've heard every story Under the Sun about the situation Washburn had all those reports over the offseason that they wanted this guy from them. The negotiations were such that he was able to identify players that were on the table miles birth. And Doug McDermott was the package. He threw out their Zach Lowe who was one of the most connected reporters out there says every single podcast. He's on that the Celtics if they wanted Myles Turner all she had to say was yes, and he's coming but then since Gordon Hayward went to the Hornets and every interview, he's been in Santa he says, oh, I wasn't even thinking about the Pacers. I'm a hornet for life. Like I never was even considering that I think a lot of people have assumed that the reason the Celtics didn't do that trade is cuz Hayward wasn't going to Indiana, which if that was the case, obviously they couldn't do a deal like Hayward header approve that way. I think the truth somewhere in the middle. I do think the Pacers were probably offering a little less than the Hornets. It sounds like a hundred million compared to a hundred twenty million, but it does sound like there were heavy negotiations and Hayward was playing ball enough to make both teams think that they could get a deal done there. So did they change balk at McDermott internet and want more and that caused Hayward to Walking Dead? To take a different offer or was that Hornet's off-road was going to overrule everything it's helped to say but let's say that Turner was a possibility for the Celtics. It would have been OTP. It wouldn't been fought a silly but maybe you could put Turner in the future for a different piece and have him and McDermott be part of this team. Now..

"You know, open up your options and that's why I said I've been saying if you hold on to that tpe, you might be able to pair a proven asset like birth. With it in the offseason where he's worth more in the offseason than he is today. If he continues to have the run that he's having and if he does average 20-plus minutes a game and he does put up similar stats, you know often than you know, like he did tonight more often. I mean that becomes a legitimate asset and so that's what you need in order to have Orlando pick up the phone for a player like lusetich. Right? I mean ultimately that's what you're looking for. So if Danny's looking and Danny will do it. I mean we've seen Danny do much bigger trades than Rob Williams. So if he can if he can if you can flip Rob and some pics for an All-Star level Center like Abu Savage you're damn right that he would do that. So what's the ceiling on him? Just like that's the question you ultimately at the answer here John was throwing around Clint capela. That's been a popular name and Clint's a great player like a high high end Roll center and he's not a Anthony Davis a Karl towns or anything by those means it's a great player to have all dead. Know if you get a piece that makes sense. Now there is kind of an argument. They maybe would give that up if you think it's really going to be a move that moves the needle on the team or is it sustainable in the future all those different things right now with all the stuff I mentioned that like you can extend them for cheap now probably it was just such a hit in the draft he fits so well with hate him and brown and all those different things. I'd really be hard-pressed to give him up. And I think that ceiling could just keep getting a little bit higher year after year. Has it plateaued yet? Yeah. That's a good point. I mean, I just think about Rob. Yeah, I just think the value of life if.

"I don't know what's going on. I don't get home. He was like, it feels like Stephen shorted Rob and like all the everyone else is just buying up Rob and Stevens is now having to like buy back Rob in order to make Rob not paying like go to the moon. It's like it's a very complicated situation. So that's how that's how the Celtics relates to Reddit memes box right now, but long story short. Analogies long story short, Rob needs to play more than I thought tonight was a perfect example of that if he's getting low 20s in the minutes. I don't think anyone's complaining about his minutes Rob stock. Thank you. That's his nickname off and it goes up. Rob only goes up just like Stomps only go up, you know, it's funny because we talked about, you know, Brad Stevens and obviously the conversation of his future in Boston and all that, you know a couple of nights ago, and it's interesting. We give him so much profit or at least in the beginning right we talked about that to the narrative was we give him we we give Brad so much props for being able to reach certain players right the guys. Underdogs the ones that just need that opportunity to shine he can get it out of them. Right but with Rob is different, right? We are almost like wait no. No, we're not trusting your judgment on this one Brad, you know, no Rob is better than wage. You think he is right. So maybe maybe we jump the gun maybe we should have waited this one out. But again Thirty games in is 30 games in so he's doing it now. So I guess that's the most important part of it. I wish he should have thought he was doing but I don't think this is one of those what happened like a month ago where it was like, oh no, he's in there. He's a lot and then he played like, you know, seven minutes against the Lakers or whatever it was, you know off your team where you're like, okay disappears or Brad's not quite sure if you submitted to the rotation or not. I don't think we're there anymore though..

"I mean, I think a lot of him taking a taking on the blame and taking on accountability is directly into the correlation is directly with those two signings. I think, you know, I think his daddy saying look I messed up, you know, people can think what they you know, but the whole Gordon Hayward situation and how we handled that but I think Danny is really kicking himself about those two sidings and right now Brash the two of them are just trying to fix it at this point, you know, it's it's interesting. Letting Rob Williams out the cage a little more as a big part of fixing it. I think it's interesting you say that because he was on the radio as well yesterday asked a million different questions. Oh, well, it's nice talking about Rob right? You're not going to switch the topic. Are you it's like the parade know but on Thompson real quick cuz Joe sway is talking about buyer's remorse a he did say there were a couple of things he wished. He could have done better thank goodness long ways to rectify it traces. We could have made that maybe would have made somewhat of a difference. I don't know Thompson and Thompson to you. I fucked up guys my Battlenet like you say no phone service again. Again. We're harping way too much on Teague of right the rotation setting. That's really that's true. I listen. He might he might yeah, maybe a little buyer's remorse Johnson, but I would actually thought that he was talking more along the lines of like Hayward maybe just huge maybe he just feels like we should just paid a word more. I have no idea if that's I have no idea what you know what I use. That but now I'm thinking he's like man I could have milked that before Jordan came along. I don't know. That's my thing. That's yeah, or maybe maybe he was talking about Pacers trade if there was one..

"You know, obviously the last couple of games here is paid off Wednesday to he proved it out there. The only capable player. And that disgraceful game. I don't think any of us watched that one too closely. I don't think we jump back into the film. But if he did it was probably a lot of positive T stuff there too. That made him feel happy. You could be the first guy off the bench and this one and I love that rotation. It was all this talk. How you going to get the ball pop in Zack low rates that they're 28th and assist percentage NBC's pulling out the hockey game that I guess they were almost last or dead last and that's that. I don't really care about how hockey assist but you saw you saw unit. Yeah secondary assess. They only have two again. So paying Pritchard Jeff Teague Jayson Tatum, Erin E Smith, Rob Williams, when I see a line up like that starting a second quarter that's activity that's movement in cutting which is what Brad emphasized pre-game and a couple different guys who can handle the rock between protruding and pay him and when you have multiple ball hang out on the floor and even a center drawn who can pass a little bit now ball is just going to start bouncing all over the place. They saw a nice transition 34 Nesmith. You saw Tatum's nice dump off to Pritchard on the back line cutting off. Ron Richard ton of activity in that pick-and-roll between them the ball just started flying around everywhere with that group and the bench was awesome tonight. It was like one of the smoothest bench transition point that we've seen all season really as a whole the Celtics looked like that team that's already in three for the first time since that stretch all all all in all tonight. We need to dig a little bit more deeper into the bench and talk specifically about maybe the player of the bench and close to the player of the game. Thank you very much. Robert Williams. That's a that's a nice that line. Look at that snow everyone. Can we just take a moment to think of his middle name? And you realize he doesn't know you're right. I thought you said Robert. I was supposed to make it up and I was like, I can do that Robert Williams the third Jack game last night guess his middle school, you know, the funniest thing is we first name first name is thing that happens was a week ago when Ernie was talking about it was half time. He was like, oh, you know, but I am Pascal been doing this thing. What would you think Shaq is Jack goes? I don't know about this Pascal guy, but she outcomes the one doing it for me. I believe that his first name and then and then to make it worse. He's like, oh, come on, man. Everyone calls everyone by their last name. No one says, what's the same guy said it was Malik monk, which like okay. That's that's probably what you're saying. You do you call them Eli? Yah, Eli monk Immanuel quickley was hard cuz that's like the second best rookie class. You can definitely know who a manual quickly is among but then when it got too I mean who was the obvious one Michael Munger something something with an M..

"Thirty two points a night like he used to when he was with the you know, Charlotte Hornets because obviously he has other other weapons and Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. So I just think when he's out there, you know swarming like wage sure. It's it's obviously a good thing for the something's they need a whole lot of that but his facilitating is equals equally as important for the team because when he's getting other guys involved and instilling confidence, it makes a difference in tonight is a great example of that the day no ties make that three-pointer if Kemba Walker isn't giving him the ball throughout, you know, all four quarters. I'm not hundred percent sure of that, you know, and obviously it's not just one game, you know, when he's out there Daniel theis in fact that he's looking for, you know, it's not just Daniel theis it's looking for the best option and he gets arrested involved. Yeah, he's freedom you can roll down low getting it getting it to the spot where he needs it, you know, you know that that makes him so special and obviously, you know, if he's not scoring feel like he's going to give you some of that but when he's scoring this is the end result of that, you know, seeing him put it all together the way he did tonight in the influence he has on his teammate wage. Is what makes him so valuable for this team? We talked about value outside the Celtics it diminishes, you know, it diminishes in a big way, but on this team, he's very valuable, especially when he's this official right? I mean, it's be careful what you wish for is a lot of Celtic fans and I've you know, even at points probably on this show. I'm not going to say who but maybe certain people didn't want him a walker dead on the roster or you know, taking shots and and what not. And again you need like Jos we just said you need his office because there's not a lot. There's just not a lot of there's not a lot of thoughts on this team. That's not that's not hot take that's not breaking news. Especially the way that Tatum struggling right now with his shot. Jaylen Brown is coming back down to earth. If you don't have Kemba Walker shooting, you know, the way he is and again, I mean, he's not going to drop three 2 at night, but he's going to need to give you 20 plus a night if you want to compete in these games because that that they're they're not a deep team. They are top-heavy team and yep. But Walker needs to be against Kemba Walker. So it was good to see tonight. And the thing about Kemba Walker that I love is that he's he's been there done that he's cardiac Kemba for a reason. He didn't just earn that nickname overnight. I mean, this is a true veteran in the NBA guy who has led teams in the past. I'm not saying he has a long history of playoff wins and all this stuff. But you know, he's made a name for himself in college back in Europe gone all the way through the pros and Charlotte..

A Deep Dive Into Rudy Gobert After the Jazz Lose To Denver

"Talk about Rudy. Gobert. What? What do we want to know about mr. Gaubert because I thought before today and obviously today is Sunday. I thought before the day that he was running away with the defensive player of the year award. And then today happened today happened. I would not go as far as running away with the defensive player wage. I thought he was running away. I thought it was a significant gap between him and everybody else. So I totally understand why you would say that their top five and defense coming into town today. They're really really good team Utah. They are arguably playing better before today than anybody in the NBA just point blank. Especially now that the Lakers have hit like off a bit of a bit of a malaise having said that I'm still saying Anthony Davis Ford Prince of player of the year because they've number one defense and he's the one the keys the number one defense in the NBA off. He's by far the most versatile defender in the NBA Rudy I think is a reasonable like honestly probably would be second for me right now Myles Turner has a case sneaky class that I've been advocating as much as I can Larry Nance would probably be in my top five right now. He is the whole reason that the Cavs have a reasonable defense. Yep. Right now a top-10 defense, but I digress nonetheless Rudy gobert has been very very good for the Utah Jazz this year and I thought that Utah's games this week. We're kind of a perfect encapsulation of the Rudy gobert experience against Dallas. He was the reason that they just come holy month and utterly annihilated the Mavericks in both of those games and I watched the first one close cuz I bet on Dallas because Utah was without Donovan Mitchell was without a favors and Dallas was getting back Dorian finney-smith was getting back to like Powell. I thought that they'd take that energy and catch you too on the back end of a back-to-back and be kind of run away with that game and that absolutely one hundred percent was the wrong side to be on and in large part. It was because of the incredible grass. City that Rudy gobert holds as a pick-and-roll offensive threat, he is completely obliterated kristaps porzingis in that in those two games like butterwood obliterated him like wipe them off the face of the Earth on both ends. He averaged 23 points and 16 rebounds. He had like three blocks. He had a couple of steals. He was dead thing that people who are Jazz fans and that yell from the rooftops about Rudy. Gobert. He was everything in those two games that people say about Rudy being like a top-12 impact player in the NBA. You'll hear sometimes in this game today against Denver Nikola jokic made him look like a parking cone on defense and

"Hoops hype podcast. I'm your host Michael Scotto joining me today on the hoop side podcast is one of the top shot blockers in the league in the NFL. Center miles. Turner Miles appreciate you coming on the POD with us today you've been in Orlando for a little over a month. Now, how would you describe life in the bubble so far? Not. That bad. At all I think that you know people who? Outside looking in. At first, it was like all the food is terrible. At these public onto the space, but Jonah show anything, THEY'D BE A. Disney player association everybody involved really good job setting this up. Now the food is as great of will probably the safest place in US right now. We're doing what we love. You know National Spotlight to highlight things that we want to get out so I. Think it's been good about. Knock on wood you guys continue to have success with the bubble. Always good to see each week when no one test positive that's a blessing at this time in global pandemic. I would imagine though you do have a decent amount of downtime. What apps and games do you and other players using the bubble? I mean everybody's playing college city right now warzone. That's huge. A lot of remember on that analysis teams play. there. We're GONNA seem dinner the lot. Finally after games, I mean everybody's also obviously Maybe hers Lepetit have a whole bunch of puzzles knocking board. HAS HAS TIME As a whole and everybody says around. Thank everybody. On the roads and Practice know about two thousand of the rest today do whatever you want or your game was thanks. To. The day the. Day So. How about social media and whatnot I mean I. was guys are on Instagram twitter and whatnot How how for you social media affected your daily life as a as an NBA player. While the has it using patches because you know now they were born as much time. A lot of us are on instagram twitter of just seeing what you've got to say about certain issues, the certain things ourselves. So it has much impact. You let it real some people negatively. Brother people myself I just use entertainment purposes and also Like he's just got a chest already may with that you got to control which without of. We've seen a little bit of the Petty Wars with Pat Beverley Paul George and dame yesterday going added on. Instagram what do you think when when you see stuff like that a around the league and and guys going at it in social media once they're outside the lines of the court. Like I said, I used parents, hemant purposes I think it's funny. You know some people get added a little bit more than others but. The main. The main. Argue. For the most part you take you on the court. Now, that's where everybody talk their masks or. Say They. WanNa saying electroplating did talk you know social media's going up but You turn on the court you say anything was out there doing. Individual you've got I think over two hundred, twenty thousand followers on Instagram you've got about one, hundred, thousand on twitter. Do you ever use social media to. Help in the dating game at all maybe slide in the DM's or or have even some girls slide in your the obviously, you're a popular figure. What's that like for you? My first couple of years in the League I was heavy on that just because it was it was a new thing. Anybody bought the blue check and I've say race come eyebrows by now here and there I'll slide. Bar I kind of just show. Bro Like is. Out there chase it. You know more likely. It's not for you. So I just I personally like to you know be out arson actually be somebody person's social media's all. Everybody looked the filter. With certain angles there and actually gets A. Tells you conversation with somebody and actually being around the game as it's coming in the long no escort. Look at here they're. Certainly. Makeup can do wonders for certain people at Times. And you know obviously for for you even having people sliding your DM's I'm sure that's always An adventure when when you are off the court and you say like you're trying to meet people, you know in person what is it like dating an NBA player? especially you I mean you're not a small guy, your center, your seven feet what what is it like for you dating as an NBA player. The social. Media. Roaches. It is what you make it. You know for some people really love on out there at the end. you know being around most women like all the time of the real low key with it. Now, we're all we all have our you know. What we do, we want to do, but I think that. You can be you'll open yourself up to so much more the more and more people up to. My first covers in the league pilots got freedom of nineteen twenty years old about policy. Think you're king of the world out there chasing a bit but now I mean I just I'm not gonNA say Oh Janet Game and only twenty four years old. I kinda just don't like over the chases much chases desk on from. Out in Ghazi. Selected. Yeah. Let's say so but. I just don't go out like looking forward to seeing for so. I've seen it women get a Lotta guys caught up his league at edited NFL and other Professional Sports Leagues. So women can meals downfall for a lot of people trying to make mistakes predecessors. It's funny. They always tell you on the court sometimes let the game come to you and it seems like off it you have that same approach in a way. You know even for you guys especially in this day and age. Social media really growing over the past I'd say fifteen years or so and sites like TMZ and whatnot. Do you have to? You got to move differently at all as as a person and whatnot and do you feel like people always innocence? There's like eyeballs always watching your every move because you are a public figure..

"Indiana Scoreboard update here on Indian A sports talk when we told you about the 53 point outburst from T. J. Warren tonight in the Indiana Pacers, 1 27 1 21 win over the Philadelphia 76 years tonight. Let's take a full look at the box score. As of course, who has worn 53 points, four rebounds, three assists, but also Nice knights from a couple of other Pacers is keep in mind. The Montecito bonus and Malcolm brought did did not play. The Pacers will believe with without Sabonis for the next foreseeable amount of time. Malcolm Brogdon will see. Victor Oladipo, who said he will play in the N B, a restart, scored 15 points, had seven rebounds. Aaron Holiday got the starting point guard. He dropped 15 as well had 10 assists. I also get five rebounds off the bench was Doug McDermott with 10 points. TJ McConnell had 10 points against his former club because Sampson is Myles Turner picked up a couple early fouls of Samson had to come in as the Pacers went a little bit smaller without Sabonis, and also go go, But Todd's a available so Sanson came in, played some cellar defense. He had 4.6 boards, but Something you want to look at off the bench. Samson was plus 20 on the floor first. Plus minus l'm. The Pacers are certainly gonna need big guys to step up your car. Samson could be one of them in the absence of demand to Sabonis and as I mentioned Go get the Todds and Alyssa Johnson. Both did not play other Pacers appearing in the game. TJ Leaf four points for four boards. Edmond Sumner, 13 minutes. He scored a point. Tonight for the Pacers with network India. This is burning. Saturday night. Time to talk, racing talking racing. Talk to Adam Alexander from FX one. Hello, Adam. Hey, Bob, How are you? I'm.

"You mean? That's that's got to be part of a conversation. What is it that you mean by that? But he continues the fact that I'm giving this platform the fact that I have a platform. I'm gonna get Cindy to use it to educate. That's the biggest thing to was his educating the people out there who don't really know where we're coming from. Now let's stop again. Who are the ignorant people? The ones you don't know where you're coming from Lex. Does that mean Let's utilize, for example. The term black lives matter. Well, I know its origins. I know the organization. I know there are Marxist organization their leaders like Petraeus colors are trained in Marxism, wanting the end of Western civilization, not believing in the nuclear family believing in eradicating fathers and the patriarchy they're not even mentioned. I can share with you prayers. Actual prayers said before BLM events where fathers are completely omitted. So I know am not down with black lives matter the organization because I will never be down with Marxist. I will not lie to myself and I will not pretend Marxism is evil and destroys everyone and everything, including people who are Jewish, including people who are black, including people who are I don't know people. So when you say ignorance Because I know what black lives matter. The organization is and I'm not down with it. Is that what you need? But maybe it's not personal. Maybe I'm taking it the wrong way. But it's something that miles should be asked not with anger, but with curiosity. What exactly did you say here? What exactly did you mean here? Because if you were to take that at the quick Oh, How is that awesome, insulting stuff. What I'm trying to do is not take Myles Turner of the quick He clearly has thought. Right? His words he has gone through this. It weighed heavy on his mind. Let's hear what his mind has to say. I have the open invite point. The season's over year. You're doing a thing right now, unless you got time..

"Gets ready to resume its season in the Orlando bubble, the league is using its platform to help players address issues like racism. Rob connote report one of the ways they're doing that is allowing players to put phrases on their jerseys instead of their names. Myles Turner of the Indiana Pacers revealed he will have respect us on the back of his jersey. "That's awesome man that that'll be utilized. Well there are a lot of people who are in need who are struggling going through a kind of figuring out the next steps This is this is definitely a terrible situation To be into health risk of leaving the house and then not actually being able to potentially provide for family. I can only imagine how how I would feel in that situation now. We have a special guest call again. He was drafted in two thousand fifteen first round eleventh pick. Nba Blocks leader in two thousand nine hundred all rookie. Second team. Two Thousand Sixteen. Let's go back to college a little bit third team all big twelve and two thousand fifteen big twelve freshman year. Mcdonald's all American First Team Parade All American two thousand fourteen hours and over twelve points seven rebounds this season for the Indiana Pacers special guest. House turnaround appreciates you call into the pull up. Doubtlessly you doing. I'm doing great man trying to hold up. He's like everybody else. Arthur good Jordan. You said that he has dogs. I have a dog. It's only right that we kick off the conversation you know. Besides what's going on in the world right now. You have dogs and cats you have. You have a mini animal shelter at home I I do. I'm a new dog owners so it's been an interesting adjustment for me. I'm two weeks in right now. we're trying to go through the potty training stage and it's been a hit or miss for the most part but mostly hits. He's only use the bathroom in the house. Four Times in two weeks most notably today. She left a beautiful yellow stain. On my wife plush carpet so That was the the morning news So to speak during these times not much action happening in the house but providing us with all of that you have any dog stories for US early on in your childhood. I know you said you have had dogs. Yeah so I had a dog. I really grow the cats and house. My mom loves cats wooded reason and my dad's like tape animals like he really does he. To keep on Chemo. Happy Whatnot so I got a little dog. Little fell on the dog. I'm sure you prefer bill a Maltese. Yorkie eighth grade. I think he'd like thirteen years old. Maybe and still spry as ever so gone a long time. I think he's actually get more with us and then we use do with him. I think he's used to having to help them. So kinda roaming free now. We're just constantly home. I mean you can kind of tell with dogs. They have ads. When you know what's interesting for us for me and we have. We have two dogs two cats. I feel like the animals are more irritated that I'm home now that it's like this whole process of they don't they don't have their alone time so it's been a big adjustment for our House. S. C. J. said we we have basically a mini animal shelter. It's very You know it's quite hectic but I my question for you with that mind is like now that you have all this time and obviously it's not time we any of US anticipated. What have you been doing differently throughout the day to not only escape from basketball but also like stay productive? Well the biggest thing and being a professional athlete obviously see drinking a little bit as well as it's routine that I think During the season even all these you have a certain routine you get into the first couple of days. I wasn't going stir crazy like just not having anything to do workout and dump everything by like ten o'clock then you know the entire day so I kind of just got to retain wake up now. My workouts in legal per run a little makeshift Jim. Mike Araj I mean. I'm pretty much got everything on eating their Do Yoga as well. Actually just back from that And then after that I kind of time to to at least study was going on around the world as far as Obviously the current virus right now seeing what's going on parenting come came up with that and I try to learn something new every day. It can be used to be random subjects like whether it's all about politics about the stock market something about I don't know some of my family members they're gonNA try to like just learn something new every day and night easy in the day gift you hours of video games that smart and that's something. I've told a lot of people to try doing during these times is step outside the box. Do something you wouldn't normally do whether that's reading a book that that you would normally read if you'd like nonfiction may be venturing into fiction and for you learning different things that are happening around the world and just kind of adding skill set. I think that's crucial invite because as an athlete we're used to challenges we're used to being able to compete and do certain things and I think when you step outside their comfort zone that's when you see the most growth you talked about yoga. I know you've done a big transformation on your body understanding the importance of nutrition diet and just kind of finding that overall mental wellness. When did you start practicing yoga consistently and how have you been able to kind of keep it going? I know there's a lot of virtual stuff gone in. Some places may still be opening and allowing people to practice at six foot Social Distance Minimum. But how have you been able to kind of keep that ally? Because with the with this season the schedule we travel so much. It's hard to consistently do it now. We have this huge break to where we can do. Just about anything within the home confinements. Yeah so the biggest thing with me. You centers is that they like to challenge myself ways and that's like yoga is on thank you. There's no peak to it like there's not like Baxter like Yoga instructor out there. There's always something that you can get better at a job. You can do so with that. Being said like translation. My body was huge for me. You know I came in the League. You know Kinda rookie free frail and you know you're going against guys like White Howard and the data Jordan. The real strong is the league so I knew I had to do something. You can let all the way she went. But it's all about function -ality and In the flexibility especially being a guy like me who you are but I'm on the perimeter lodge around running a lot so This time has been perfect for that. You know I have a private instructor. We usually meet up at this park outside so I mean it's pretty funny. It's the opens. People will just walk by. You seem big Black Dude. As Yoga in the middle of this park in this neighborhood the look. I get are quite hysterical. But for the most part Yoga's into the moment work on your breath and whatnot so nothing hughes this for me was probably my third year in the League. That's when I really start doing it consistently Not as much during the theme with the schedule The whatnot. But I'm like this is perfect hunters go back in Quite routine maximum. Lose power wouldn't be able to do Within a given off season see. I know you've talked a lot about yoga. And and how beneficial? It's been miles. Can you speak to the benefits? You've seen mentally to Because obviously physically your body has change and and we've seen that without question but I'm curious mentally the benefits that you feel you've gotten from it or it makes you lock in relation really focus on the breath. I think there's a lot of things like like like like my my yoga teacher. She's crazy by likes me. We do a lot of unorthodox stuff like she her studio. There's a whole bunch of Wassenaar find quite legit wash. That are flying around right and I thought that was like the weirdest thing but it actually intentional to put in there to make you lock in and knock focus on the WAAS 'cause like you don't let them know message you there's this weird like energy balance thing that she's trying to preach to me But I'm not sure how true that is but it is what it is anyways Yeah like that or like show tape my mouth shirt. I have to briefly my nose and literally like makes you just focus in on the moment. You can't think about anything outside of your practice. Did you can be in a fool pogues and you. It takes like all your body strength and you start thinking about something else you slip one. Little Muscle can Clip you up. You just fall like on your face. Oh really maybe locked in on the side of things. When I'm in the month the free throw line. Kinda just focusing a little bit better than I had in the past or in the fourth quarter in my kids don't know keep his ass or something like that. I'm able to focus on my breathing. A little bit more as opposed to gain tired so if they had a lot about benefits to so you're in your yoga class and they're literally lost flying around the room. Lots of wasp legitimate bro. Like straight straight misogony type stuff like I explain to the people they all come back with the same reaction but now it's to the point now like I don't even know that they're just trying around you hear them one of Landlo- me one time I just couldn't even stay on pose but that's just a focus. You put up over time just getting better with it. You've never been sung. I've never been sung to know and it's like I'm knock on wood. I'm never been stone Cj I'm trying to picture near Damn near seven foot miles in this class with wasp. I mean you don't you don't mess with a Waas A. B. is is is its own entity but a wasp is different. Cj Can you? Can you picture? This would never participate in something like this and I'm the type of person who really enjoys yoga like I really like Yoga especially high yoga. But I don't like those types of creatures insects can't get down with them an alum of I'll be able to to focus In a room like that but I think I think I get what you're saying from a from a mental wellness standpoint. If you can really just concentrate and be president with what you're trying to accomplish in Rome understanding you're just there to get yoga done. I can see how that can make things better for you especially in the sports world and Segue into the game where we played you guys. You hit a big three down the stretch. We needed that went to. I'm still thinking about it. We needed that went badly. We're getting stops. We're in Indiana one possession. Game you hit three may make it into a two possession game from a concentration standpoint. You said that it helped you with free throws would you say that it's helped you with your overall ability to not only perform during games would be able to block out the media because we we live in a world where we're constantly criticized and receive constructive sometimes not constructive criticism from fans Yemen. I think that you know this season was really big for me. You know I transitioned from. I've been the five like mine are life and I'll play it a little bit of foreign college but this year full-time like power forward and that was a huge adjustment for me. But I'm used to shoot three in an opponent of out of the printer and the entire game thousand announcement. I just didn't see coming off season so obviously I struggled like the first like month month and a half the season just to kind of find my niche out there if I'm a role and just in from like the pro- productivity standpoint a lot of criticism you know especially you know from fans from national international and then you know even coming off the team. Usa stuff this summer in obviously that was a big thing as well so does here in that criticism from everywhere. It was suggested for me. And I I I went to the point where I deleted like all my social media like out of state off everything but then it kind of to me that you just let these people win in a sense and I kinda got back actually a full conversation with my yoga teacher about it and I think she kinda got me back into back in the swing of things not real like are obviously. I'm a mentor. People I talked to she really helped me out. During that time you know going back to that That center of Focus and then like the the what you're trying to accomplish in the long run. You know not the moment so the criticism you know suck to this part of the business you know the price of fame in a sense but Kind of getting back to my roots and getting back to what.

"I'm not saying that Milwaukee is Indiana's on the same level, even with the depot as Milwaukee. But what was the difference because they're pretty good defensive team? And now is it just a matter of strategy. Is it a matter of kyri as you mentioned regressing? What's changed with the very least an equally aggressive defense? I res definitely cold. He's on a cold streak right now. Milwaukee's defense is longer. I would say they have Jaanus who's been incredible. Not. But the thing is that you know, Jaanus and Myles Turner for two guys might even end up being I to multi they're all defensive players right shows. The anchors of great a really good defense and Turner was was good in that Indiana series. But the difference in the speed and intensity with which Jaanus rotates over stuff shot is almost unmatched in the NBA and Janas turning into with amazing is like he's probably the most softball player in the NBA right now. And he might be becoming the best defender. One of the best defenders the MPA. So he's serving the best in the game. And he thought tonight that there were just so many times or look Blake Celtics have broken through Milwaukee's Wong and physical defensive permettre and then yon brook Lopez. Who was also is also had really good in this series but come over and a race. And you know, there weren't a ton of blocks tonight. But there were. At least from Indiana for ninety the watches perspective. But Milwaukee did spend a lot of shots at the rim. Very well. And I just don't think Boston has been able to like their wings have been able to finish comfortably at the rim. Al Horford has been able to get his post at the rim, which is something they go do their often struggles just the thing that the Celtics can usually find really happening for them consistently. Let's look at a specific. And despite the game on Monday, which wasn't necessarily a great one shooting from the floor. But Jason Tatum, how how much would you say fans to media? It's just people watching this series with an interest with the Celtics would be frustrated with the the play of Jason Tatum. And I'm not saying that, you know, it's milk crate level where you know, you asked where is he like, you know, Kyle Lowry for a couple of games and the Rafter series. But it seems like he's been disappointing more so than not. Yeah. I mean, I think they were probably be the guys that you're looking on the car. Paint them was really good for the first half of the game. He had like fourteen and nine early another quarter. I believe so he was putting up numbers. He had one or two good drives the she just has really struggled to get to the rim. And he was kind of the guy that I was thinking about an answer as far as guys that are having trouble getting to the usual finishes. But you know, Tatum has fallen back on those bad habits that keeps her head out early this year, and they tried to do them out over time. And then they just kind of kept creeping back in over and over and over, and there's just no consistency to the eight of us when playing this year, and you can really say that about pretty much everybody on the Celtics offense. He will. I wait you much on his turn around fatally seventeen Twitter, which is it's kind of like what we say about Tyree shots election. It's like those are terrible shots. But also if you can hit it pretty routinely. Then I get some terrible not terrible shot. But the degree difficulty the shot so unnecessarily high that it just kind of seems like a complete waste, and he he just call back on that throughout the series a little too much. And I thought he did a pretty good job of game for trying to persist that trying to be smarter by the shots election. But it seemed like him and just kind of everybody else faded later in the game. I guess, you know, second half of the third quarter in the fourth quarter in. I think it has to do a lot with just there wasn't the word. They were moving the ball or the retrying move the ball. But they didn't seem to know where they were trying to move the ball to they didn't seem to have competence..

"Yeah. Absolutely. And fourth fourth and east. Yeah. Myles Turner democratise Abon they've got a nice to who's the clippers of the the least amount of stars of any team in the playoffs. Credit to doc. I mean, they play really hard. And so and they got what seventy million dollars spent July with Jerry walkout with Jerry West leading the pitch and luck out. That's not good makes why doesn't Jerry West work for us. I think he wanted another challenge you mean like for seven ten. Is he doing after noon for no, why are great? Why don't we the Lakers have them? Well, you know after a while it gives me a feeling of unease because Jerry, I think Jerry thought his mission was complete and I want to go onto other challenges. See how tough this mission is now. Well, you've got magic in there. So he doesn't wanna come in and step on Magic's toes, where there's you couldn't have both of them because they're both gigantic type as all right? And you would have to have one of them make us he went to Memphis that Bill of that franchise, which he did they said Golden State needs my help helping them the clippers need this Lincoln's be more like the dodgers dodgers. They've got like five former general managers in the front office. Treatment has final say, but Andrew Friedman is not afraid of any of them. He wants every single smart idea in the room. And there's no way you can say the Lakers wouldn't be better off with Jerry West being in the room. Well, that's what the Lakers have. They've got magic Pelinka Kurt Rambis. I've lost a fair amount of confidence in magic in plink. Really why? Because I saw who they signed last summer. It was working till LeBron went down with an injury. We before they're under five hundred with LeBron on the floor. Yeah. But Wanda went out with energy, lonzo's been a huge. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's important. Look the clippers traded away their best player look where they are now. Yeah. But they got a bunch of you know, they got a bunch of guys who who veterans who've been there done that with the Lakers have a bunch of young guys trying to establish themselves. Big difference. Yeah. I not. I'm not buying it. I'm not buying it at all. I would feel a lot better. If Jerry West was on our side instead of their side. All right coming up for you next. How about how about Tennessee back in control, by the way, sixty to fifty five now they lead. All right coming up next. Something great Mason in Ireland ESPN. It is. Pretty loose around here today. Thank Michael hanging out. We're watching the NC double A tournament and John after work today. I'm going to do something scary gonna go to the return of DO. No, oh, I'm gonna go. See that movie us. Oh, the Jordan PR view one get out. The ghetto Ken same guy is did get out. It's supposed to be unbelievable. But here's the thing. I don't make generally through scary movies. I hate scaring. Like, did you watch get out? I saw that. Yeah. That was more mysterious and scary. Yeah. I thought that was more mysterious. Wasn't. It wasn't like a grind house that I love that. "I assume there's something we can we're we're going to have to talk about this and whether or not he's actually on the team probably not just based on different things, but Sapone has been really really really good. And when we talk about improvement from one year to the next or you know, over the last couple of years to now, I mean, he's been pretty incredible off the bench for them. I thought that the Kylo Quinn pick up for them would be a really nice one. They haven't really been able to play them because they haven't had a reason to give an Elsa. Bonuses played. So there have been a lot of things kind of had a Thad young renaissance the last couple of days, I think he he was player of the week. I remember thinking, man. But then you look back at those games. And you're like, yeah, he deserved it there on a win streak, and you know, he's taking on different defensive assignments. You know, just because it's been really fun to watch them play. They've been relying less. You know, I wrote last year on the mid range jumper that they were taking way way too much. They're down quite a bit from that. In terms. And how reliant they're on it? They're still not taking as many threes as you'd like to see. But this is this is a nice team. That's not quite as reliant on victor's. They were last year. Other guys have kinda shouldered more of a burden, and it's been really nice, see. Yeah. One thing that has carried over as they play hard as all hell, and they got a lot of mileage out of that last year. And there was some skepticism that they would a maintain that level of urgency and be catch people off guard with it. And I don't know if they're catching people off guard, but they play hard and Myles Turner. You know, he plateaued and everyone was like, well one is the leap coming. It's and I don't know that the leap has really even happened. I don't like he's not shooting. Well from three he's not his rebounding. Still just okay for his size wrote. He's just playing better. He's playing defense better. Footwork's a little better. His rotations are better his passing. It comes in such little increments where in a game you'll see him throw three of those little. Pick and pop it. I'm gonna swing it to the corner passes. And then you'll see two games where he doesn't pass it all it's it's coming in the last three weeks it started. And he's going to be a very good player. That's that's been my issue with the Pacers going back to the team that we're referencing earlier with the, you know, the the crazy defense with Hibbard, and Lance and they've never really struck me as particularly great passing team. And this team kind of feels that way a little bit to where there looks kind of like who cannot dribble past. And so if and when they do have nights where they're passing really stands out. It's a good sign because it frees them up to do a little bit more get some better shots with with miles Turner. I've been happy with the defense. Like, I said that they've been I don't even think I in the league in terms of how well how efficient they are defensely on drive there. I league by like a pretty decent margin. When you look at second spectrum data on what? Dr official defensive how well they stopped. Dr. Gotcha with how many points per drive. They give up with Turner. We wrote a story fivethirtyeight earlier this year. And I think it was the most consistent hitter in baseball history. And it was talking about Chris Davis. And how I think he's hit two forty seven for three out of the last four years or four out of the last five miles Turner. I was looking at it on the way in here. I think he's averaged anywhere from sixteen point one points per thirty six minutes to sixteen point four points per thirty six minutes over each of the last four seasons. So he's like exactly the same number every year..

"But Mark bartlestein strikes again. They're baby wow, but but I also got Kylo Quinn who I I like I liked their moves in the off season. We're low key impressive to me and guys they should've. They should've beat the cows in the playoffs. Last year. Old depot was the real deal to way dominating player. I couldn't believe how how good boy in bogdonovich played. I can't believe that we carry over, but D'amoto bonus fits into what they want. And we'll see if miles Turner extends before Tober fifteen deadline. I don't know if he will or not. I haven't seen a lot of reporting on it and I don't really have any insight. But let's just say for the sake of my point here that he doesn't extend you're gonna have Thaddeus young and Myles Turner playing. On. And I think bogdonovich and Darren collison. All playing contract years. I think it's primed for there to be. I, I just think that they're sneaky team. I think they're very well coached. They've been smartly, put together and I really liked their off-season guys. What do you think the thing I liked about the offseason is you know they could have said, we had this great year which spreads everyone. Let's run it back and they can. They work content to do that. I mean, they did bring back Donna vich and call us into a non guarantees calls in particular being at a really good number for them. But now they can have is you mentioned the benefit of not extending Turner is his cap. It's going to be relatively low next summer. So they're looking at. You could have the core of Turner and Ola depot in Simonas and have max money next year. Not that Indiana's destination for free agents, but you know, that's great flexibility or you could could decide to run it back at that case resign those guys. I thought it was a great. Number for them for Evans, if I were running the Lakers he would have been my number one target after signing LeBron. I thought he was a perfect fit for their because not only can handle the ball in play point guard a little bit. If you need him to is he has early in his career. He's also become a really good spot, three point shooter and someone who have to defend out there. So I think he's a great fit either playing with Ola depot or kind of running the show with that second unit didn't love the McDermott contract since we went into, but I mean shooting they needed shoe. Yes, but and they got it in both McDermott's two million dollars. Hey, I have to tell you, I. Live in Omaha. Oh, you don't do it. They, they loved it out here. I'll just leave it at that. They did. Team is going to be. Yeah, go go for why I was gonna say, I see the Pacers and they want thing that scares me is it seems like the hype train for this team is off the charts, and maybe it's the ovation at me guys and losing so much money out there with Mr Hahn. But when everybody's jumping in on of this team's gonna be great. This team's gonna get it. They're ready to take the next step. That's when I start to go, wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Did they just get hot last year? And did they get to a place where they just overachieved a little bit? I'm not certain that all the depot can be that superstar player that he showed at at various points last season and certainly in that playoff series against LeBrun. I mean, this goes back to the trainer sending out that Instagram right after that that calves. Series ended all man. He's ready to get even better, and that's all well and good, and I liked the pieces. They have employees, but I, I'm with you. I mean, sometimes you get one of these teams that that over achieves one season and everybody wants to anoint them the next year in for whatever reason whether it's a talent just isn't the same or isn't playing well together or injuries. It just seems like they're, they're never able to live up to expectations. So even depot is the same player as he was last year. I'm in look the optimism. I see why people would have, and I understand why you'd have to be, but the Pacers as far as a team that can really challenge in the east and make noise to a point where you think they have a legitimate chance at the end..
