"But slater's just i don't know everything about it. Has he given up a sack yet. I think shocks handling myles garrett one on one this is the best edge in the league in my do you like myles garrett we've already seen can dominate teams dominated the bears e putting he literally hand like handed the bears and embarrassment vows bat. Also worse. I think i heard that was the worst performance by team in the nfl or super bowl era. I believe it. I mean he was making jason peters look like he was just a swinging door like he wasn't even there did. It was bad like in just as a rookie doing that. Plus you have corey wensley Which signing that they lost. The packers lost austin exciting. I wanted him honestly. I when i thought we were gonna lose trent williams. I wanted corey lansley. The charges are good. They look really good in awesome dude but also the chiefs look bad. Look bad if you read the article you would see that. I asked if the chiefs have a serious problem before this game. They're going to have a tough time against the bills. And while i was writing them like Let's come back to bite me if they if they finally click here but they do a lot. And i've also talked about. I think i do. I have this on here. I think one of my game reviews was going to be the bills chiefs. But if you watch that game it it looked like the chiefs looked so sluggish. If you've watched the chiefs this whole year what they do their defense sucks. They're like they're probably the worst defense in the league. I feel like them in. Seattle are on the lead evans. Seattle are up there. Like they're they're fighting and then like If you the combination of the chiefs this is why they're doing bad is because patrick they figure them out. You can't have a team and this is kind of like i'm pulling back the packers 'cause you know they're i feel they're the biggest example of this if a team if you know a team's only gonna pass the ball you just drop back like every person and just rush to like especially if you have great rushers eka just rush two or three and have hoped to have that. But you're going to force a quarterback to try to make plays and if you just know that you can't win a team you have to keep the fair. Let a defense. They're definitely but we've already known chiefs her only pass team and the torch you over the past. I mean you look at. I thought edwards hilar- was gonna take a huge step forward this year. I thought he was going to be awesome. Took a huge step back where he dominated the bills last. Remember and lewis good game in this game. He ever listened to yards a carry. Their leading rusher was mahomes by a significant margin and there are a couple teams who can win with their leading rusher being their quarterback the chiefs are not one of them. Yeah we will get into that. But it was patrick mahomes. He looks like he's in. This is the thing with these new quarterbacks. Like an all talk about this. With the mar- these new quarterbacks are looking for the trendy thing they're looking for it to be trendy and patrick mahomes trying to look for new sidearm pass. He's making these huge risks. Which now. I think he's just aggressive..

"There to be a weather delay in LA in an indoor stadium. I'm like huh, apparently because the sides are open, that counts as an open air stadium. Come on. I don't know. We have malls here in Hawaii, where there's no walls, but it's your covered, so The Rain, I don't know, very bizarre. I don't know. All I will say, though, as I start about every I start every game about an hour after they really begin. I wait, I record it. I start every game late that way, it can fast forward through commercials and maximize my time. And I felt very validated during that moment I turn on Monday Night Football about an hour later. I'm like, oh, a 45 minute weather delay. Weird. I'm just going to fast forward. Goodbye, and I didn't miss everything and if there was anybody who had to sit through that terrible coverage on ESPN I apologize to you. That's really horrible and hope at least that good food or something. Now, no number two, Darren Waller got a really, really tacky call where he made a big catch on third down. It was actually the first raiders first down of the game. I didn't even mention that the Raiders didn't have a first down, and they had one burst down in the entire first half. This legendary so far in the season, the Raiders offense has been incredible up until this game week four. And we saw I knew. I said that's going to come. They're going to come back down to earth at some point. But for a while, the Raiders are the number one offense in the NFL. No longer. Anyway, Darren Waller makes a big catch down the sideline. He spikes the ball, it wasn't. You clearly was not intended to be taunting. It's a celebration. And this new taunting rule is so annoying because apparently the NFL wants people to be robots. You catch it. Oh, yes sir. Just turn it into beep boop, we turn walk away. Like it's so stupid. What's the line here between taunting and celebrating? They talk about how we love celebrations want to embrace celebrating and then when Darren Waller celebrates he gets a penalty for taunting. I've said multiple times, I think the NFL looked at what happened with Myles Garrett, a supposed racial slur was said, they're like, we never want this kind of situation ever again, so we just want you can't say anything to the other player and they're very sensitive about it. But it's just like, it's just really affecting games now. This call that you can't how do you define a celebration versus taunting? Because it's not working. It's very, very wrong and broken and this game was just another example of many, many games this year where there's no clear distinction between celebrating and taunting. It's just like it's a broken system that is driving me nuts to watch every week. Okay. Let me drink some water real quick. I got a big story to we will talk about Tom Brady versus Bill Belichick in a moment and we'll talk about the rams and.

"Be back in the lineup. You got a young guy ingredient williams. That's coming off injury back in the lineup so when you think about the secondary and the pressures that they bring it can be incredible flood young quarterback on the other side and that was keys top-five ups during week one key. I want to let key in on so to speak on. The browns secondary versus achieves wide receiver tight end group or or vice versa. Because to me. There's i i love that match up to me. That's the one. I'm looking forward to but i'm also thinking about that. Kansas city own line that they revamped in one off season they brought in member both tackles missing three offensive line and they were getting destroyed in the super bowl they went orlando brown junior on the on the blindside joe -tuni- at guard can't do better than that they brought in from the rams and then drafted kris humphry fell to them so like live doesn't even start like all of the sudden you look at that line and then on the other side myles garrett myles garrett said during a wide ranging interview with the akron beacon journal quote. Well hell i gotta prove lebron. I before anything i gotta prove playmaker at all levels. He's in the top three any debate. You have myles garrett saying he's gotta be lebron james of defenders. I'm also looking at that. Cleveland defense against that revamped kansas city. Oh line jay. Can i defend. Because i know when people here you know how it works. Whenever you hear lebron james in the same sentence with another athlete people what the hell you. Doin' why would you ever compare yourself. Lebron james so the way myles garrett looks at this whole thing's lebron james was that guy. When he came back to cleveland he needed kyrie irving and kevin love to help them go the next level to bring the first championship to cleveland cavs organization. I think we'll myles. Garrett is talking about. Here is addition of june debbie and connie. And you think about guys like me right. I'm drawing a blank on his last name. Me help me ocoee. You talk about a melik. Jackson accent jackson on a defense in right. And i think when you think about a guy like myles garrett to be healthy has been the question. It'd be healthy. He had a suspension never played sixteen games throughout his nfl career and in last year. He had kobe but we think of the top tier players as far as defensive player of the year. His name has to be in that conversation. Obviously you're going to have tj water nut conversation. I was just talking about aaron donald but myles garrett is in that conversation if he can have. The best. Ability is availability. If because they durable he will be he is myles garrett like like i think about. Jj watt. once upon a time. He was different than everybody else. I think about aaron donald today. Just a different dude. I'm looking at myles garrett. He's excellent but he's he next that way. Is he a different dude. Look he's a red dot guy. Okay no no question about it when mean by red dot com when you're sitting in the film room and you have the laser printer and the coaches are telling you we've got a block this guy. He's going to cost us a headache. That's true but he hasn't taken that next leap like that. That von miller that. Jj watt demarcus ware. He hasn't taken that that leap. Where you're like. Oh my god this is about the have twenty five michael strahan sacks on him. It just hasn't gotten to that point now. He's still young too had several defensive coordinators teaching him so i think in time he will take that next step. He's certainly a guy that would concur completely cause havoc on the defense side of the ball. You've got to pay attention to who he is. I think this year is a tail tail on whether he can get to that. Aaron donald level where all of a sudden no matter where he lines up at in what he does. He's going to make a major impact on sniffing out the football jay. When when i hear von miller i get it. 'cause von miller is also clutch player When i hear demarcus. We're i'm not even thinking beyond where i'm thinking like. Jj watt because jj watt and arrand. Donald when i think of the best front seven i could ever make you have to consider those two on the front says ever like all time but demarcus. We're walking into the yellow jacket though that key. That's what i'm saying. There's even a different level. Like i don't doubt myles garrett could get to that level that you're talking about now i'm talking about. Are you in the conversation ever all time. The dude i see right now like that is actually chase young where i think with everyone apple. They're playing defense. Who do i see as being a dude where we'll tell our grandkids. Yo you had to see this. Let me let me bring you inside a little bit though max when you start talking about. Jj watt yes. He's defensive player two year all sorts of but a lot of other stuff comes with the hype in you. Push up the hype. You get a little bit more when you talk about a guy like chase ya. Jason came from ohio state. We saw a chase young was able to do at ohio state. It was ridiculous so when he walks in you sit there in that that sizzle. It's almost like zion basketball dude. He came in with such high praise that it was like. Okay we're waiting the seat myles garrett then come in like that maoz gear came in. Is the number one guy. But he didn't have all of the fluff in yeast around him so nothing will push up. Who's things up it. Gary came in like macho came in with yeast based but but when you talk about it though he is on a trajectory i believe to do greatness but his name. Is it going to be popping like that miles. You're saying his name. It's just not going to book like that. Don't you see this year is not between first name to pop like that. Considering all the start sunday can yes it can. That's what this game has look. I'm thinking about the browns. By the way he thinks chiefs. Her mind is six at home. I mean i don't even know what that means less than a touchdown key but they're not they are there many favorites on a neutral field They'd be favorites. It'd be even money. No no they'd be favorites anywhere but the point is this the browns offense you mentioned earlier. How often do we here. That's the number one pass blocking offense and run blocking offense. You almost never hear that. They were number one both last year and independent of that key they got to dudes who can run the ball and who complimented each other in the back that the best in the game really overall when you look at the tandem and now you have odell coming back like as much as you as you can talk about. How's the browns defense going to match up with the chiefs new offense. That brown's offense if bakery talked about paying baker like an elite quarterback if baker takes a step here if odell and him get on the same page coming back to just convenient possible..

"Yeah and making his debut and the top one hundred seven the first yeah you stay healthy continues to dominate continues to be him. I think he'll continue to grow. And that's what. I'm saying. Like the fact that leonard got the extension. I think devon white will probably rake dad number. but we'll see hopefully. He takes a hometown discount by tag on the i i was. I'm surprised to force. Buckner is over devon white. I am surprised air but divorced buckner has always been a great player Even you know at his time in. I believe he went to oregon. If i'm not mistaken and then going to the forty niners who was already stacked and then bullishly being traded to the indianapolis colts Is is really ridiculous. But he's a great player. Obviously nick chubb of course thousand happy about that. Yeah shove you went up. I wouldn't have been surprised if he makes if top twenty obey the only reason he didn't make twenties because he's sharing jerry's bobby wagner. I think he also has some injury issues. Plus the all defensive started to decry. he's pretty. Yeah yeah talking about decline lamar jackson falling down. He's still making great. Plays though so crazy that by now. That's all i'm not sure. Hopefully he takes his personal and he goes up there and really show them what he got. plus it was him. And you know you had. I'm sure mahomes and you had a couple other exciting people on ear. So we'll see what happens but he also had an. Mvp candidate year eight. So we'll say so the to keep that round off dismissing the top. Twenty decay metcalf. Fred warner warner. One of the best middle linebackers in football. Hopefully the forty niners. Don't let them get away. Vicky metcalf deserves everything from the combine To what he's been even do college so in college he was he was trending he was. He had a projected. You know great hit a good projected trajectory right it was. He was projecting forward but it wasn't until that mind-blowing higher by where it was like. Hey he really put the focus in on but then coming in to seattle and actually giving them a viable number one receiver something that they need it for a long time and helping russell wilson Really get his his thing. Get his passing game on even though they had some really great receivers before But we'll see exactly what happened. What happens next. Hopefully he he progressively gets better and in twenty three eleven. Obviously dabbing cook. Who fell one slot Again i mentioned one of some of the better safeties. He went up a slice. Use me getting cracking into the top twenty in. Probably if he didn't have some injuries you probably would a crack team hands now. Buddha baker better lot better safeties again. Obviously we already talked about that. Last week surprise shawn watson still the top twenty but that's neither here nor there right We mentioned avian. Howard who held out clearly for a reason myles garrett continues to dominate despite missing some gains with you know helmet gate. You know that's that was years ago. Okay so it seems like last year things are going. So he's got he's still dominates tara. Being number fifteen surprise about the bucks game without sequel loved that part. Now i know i know you said it. I mean because he only got the chance to throw up to do sign at one time but no got him back. I commend not being in a top. Ten is also amazing to me. Yes wow jalen. Ramsey tenant this stockton wrestle west yup yup russell and stefan digs. Okay so this time ten and how to be amazing for me. My fancy sees right so the top ten is about to be on tremendous. Oh my goodness. I mean obviously mahomes and brady. We know we're going to be on their club. And obviously you know a guy in green bay even though this things going up. So i'm interested to see who else is on their guam barclay possibly be on the list. I don't think he made the list. Yes tops he might be up there yet. "The last couple years, and I think they're still adding pieces to it. But this offseason, I think they really bring everything together and they get guys like Grant, help it back who can contribute? Have a good quarterback. They drafted another really good quarterback Greg Newsome going to be able to play he can cover for sure he's he's willing to get the run. If he's able to get in there and compete right away. They've got a good secondary, and they've always had a good front seven. So you it is adding Jadeveon Clowney is of that. I understand. He's a mob. That the high player that everyone wanted him to be when he was coming out, But he's a good NFL player. You don't mind a guy like that on the other side of a superstar like Myles Garrett. So they're they're good defensive team and they were Biltmore to be an offensive the last year and you are talking about a team that could run the ball. Just leave a brown. They have a water weakness. Is there gonna be a very tough time to be and people sleeping on them now, in my opinion, are looking at what they have there looking what they used to be, And that's just simply not the case anymore. On by its eye again, As I said at the beginning, this is all talk until they start keeping score. Baltimore Had a very interesting draft were shot Bateman I, You know, this is big 10 country. We see a lot of, you know, Big 10 football. Lot of Minnesota games on the Big 10 network shot Bateman's The real Deal. Another weapon there for the Ravens on offense. I can't sleep on the Ravens, either. I think this may come down to Baltimore and clear. I don't want to short sell the Bangles. The bangle is not a lot of work to do in the off season. We'll see. This may come down Tol to more Cleveland. It may come down to that final the final month of the season..

"Benjamin Albright while we were away, the Jacksonville Jaguars drafted Travis TN the running back out of Clemson, the teammate obviously of their first pick in the first round. Quarterback Trevor Laurence. Cleveland is on the clock. In fact, the Cleveland Browns pick Number 26 is in. Ben. What hearing? I'm here. It's gonna be corner. Greg Newsome out of TCU. Wow. Yeah, they did. It's interesting because Grady Williams, you know they had some injury problems. Last year, they got them to award. You figure they're stacked in this secretary. They got help it they had a John Johnson for the Rams Help. Delta didn't play. He didn't. But they all these guys are getting back this year. They're gonna add another corner. That's kind of interesting, Although I'll tell you why defensive coordinators Joe Woods, we know how he loves to play out of the heavy nickel and have all those DBS on the field at the same time. That pick makes up makes a lot of sense. Jeremiah will sue Coral Maura still sitting out there it pick up will what will be 25 after they're done? That's hard to believe he is. He is still out there. In fact, I really thought the Browns might go to the edge pass rusher here. I know they signed clown in the off season. They still have Myles Garrett. Here comes the Commissioner Goodell, You'll hear the Cleveland Browns fans reaction as he announces the first round draft choice. Of the hometown that they hold the draft in this year. "Yeah we we think about him and context of kind of the draft grades. If given out andrew luck his only quarterback. I've given a higher grade to going back to three and for context. I would say. I had just a little bit higher grade on myles garrett so miles gird musician we say probably the best player his position the nfl. I have a little bit lower grade on trevor lawrence than myles garrett. But he's in that conversation which is a pretty select group is easy to put big raise on players that not only were you see the talent on film but when you dig into the background. It appears that they are very very committed to be the best that they can be. And i think with trevor all signs point to this guy be an outstanding pro player. Now sometimes we can never guarantee that it's going to work out like that but you get the sense that he is going to do everything within his power to make sure that he performs at a high level and that he's worn to bring his teammates with them. I'm willing to bank on a guy like that. I'm willing to grow the diced at a guy like that figures it out. Yeah when you get a elite traits and elite intangibles. That's when you get conviction on players you know that's when you feel confident and comfortable pushing your chips in. And he has that so he's got everything you want from skillset standpoint and then you add all the off the field stuff that checks out so Yeah to me. He's pretty easy evaluation. And i think it's like that for most of the league And i'm excited. I cannot wait to see him get on. Nfl field and see what he can do. You know you'll have tremendous success. It may not happen immediately But i think when supported in the right environment this guy is going to be a star at the next level. Everything that he's done to this point suggests that he'll be a superstar can imagine a changing right now. No i'm with you. I hope you guys have enjoyed this. "Being said there's been too defensive players. In the last seven years to get the M V. P. Von Miller for the Denver Broncos and Malcolm Smith for the Seahawks when they went to it was actually in New York, but they beat Peyton Manning the Broncos. So my thought processes. I think if you take a long shot, there's been some sharp money on Sandy walking that 200 to 1. You never know kind of thing you back from injury kind of off the radar. But other than that, it's probably gonna be the q B. And if you like a long shot, I would go defensive player. Maybe like a shack. Where did you get a strip sack fumble, one of those kind of things. Well, it's not gonna be like a wide receiver who's also part of tonight connected him. Holmes. Something must back. Let's stay with the defensive side of this for kind of like, you know, a prospect. We've talked a lot. Sylvie and I have the last couple of days about sack totals. I think the total is four for the game You've got. No, you've got backup tackles, playing for Kansas City. You've got an immobile quarterback and Tom Brady. Is there something there with the pass rush where you think we could make some money and there's value. So that's the conventional thought, right? And that's why the numbers on the high side of four more home does have mobility, though, and Brady can get rid of the ball. I will say that Bill Barnwell join me for my podcast this week, and he does a wonderful job. If you just looked at the Cleveland game when Myles Garrett was wreaking havoc in the homes of limited mobility than any was in there. And he read is a genius. I don't think he gets talked about enough. Just think about what he's done with some of the quarterback he's had over the years finally gets an a level talent like moms, and he went at all. So I will say that Andy Reid knows how to counter act. A battle of the line right he runs the jet sweeps runs the guys in motion either fakes. The pop past does the podcast and that just kind of freezes the defensive end and make them honor that speed. So it's almost like just having another almost like a chip block by just having the speed going in this direction and horizontally. As much as vertically. No, I don't think Andy Reid's going into this. Just like pretty like a high school team would like. Well, this is our offensive line Blocking must be what happened. I think he's doing things to counteract it now, you would know better than I want to like. Can he do enough like that? That's the question, but I don't think If there's something that that simple, I'm pretty sure the oddsmakers have thought of it, And if they have it, there's been sharp bettors who thought of it and made wagers and those flagged accounts will move the odds accordingly. Something that's like that big of a headline. I think it's already baked into the marketplace right now on those props. What are some of the other ones that you like? Profits are? They're cute ones. Are you sticking with most of the ones that we know? Give us give us some of your favorite wagers that you're playing. Okay. I'm gonna go off the grid a little bit. Okay? We'll just fire away and got me when you've heard enough so virus Pringles like the 15 wide receiver for the Chiefs when he's had some gains, But those who win Sandy walking just hurt. The entire season. He has one catch when Sammy walk ins is active walk into supposed to play that would move Pringle lower on the depth chart. Now he was 18.5 receiving yards for the game. I've seen his lowest 7.5, so he's been pounded. But if you could get like a rogue number of 12.5 or some of the shops out there, I would do that. Someone also mentioned no first down on the first play from scrimmage minus 2 40 kind of speak for we were talking about earlier about. You know, not going for the home run. Just trying to get the four yards. I like it, but minus 2 40. That's no fun. Right? Cameron break the score touchdown at any 400.321. Brady does love his options around the goal. I'm kind of thing he break is going to be in a weapon because The Chiefs have done really well this year against wide receivers, but not so well against received the tight ends and running back in the passing game. So 3 to 1 on in any time touchdown. Probably pretty good. I'm also gonna play Brady under 12.5 yards for his first touchdown pass. Why don't love it, But I like it 47 touchdown this year, including the postseason 18. That's it. There were 13 or more now he did err it out a little bit more in the playoffs, and his arm does look sharper. The back end of the season from week 15 on the stats show that he's more accurate downfield. So the little little pod there was still 18 47. I've been over 12.5 I like under 12.5. Um Would focus on the tight end as well. Like Grant may have a big game. I don't think he will, but I won't be shocked if he does. I mentioned Kringle. I think you know some of them some of the bizarre something across sport props. There's one for Joelle indeed, who plays tomorrow against the Brooklyn Nets. We now know how bad the net defense is on being could go for 40. The prop right now is Indeed, minus 1.5 or minus 2.5 against Tampa Bay's total points..

He may have a concussion. They're gonna have to take him out for an evaluated. At the very least, they're going to take him out for an evaluation. Trent, you're right because he went to stand up and he nearly fell over my homes. In fact, it's so Rubber legged right now that his arms draped around the athletic trainers because he was trying to regain some weight on each leg, and now he wants a way under his own power, like he's just shaking the cobwebs free walks to the sideline, but he's gonna have to leave Dallas. Scary, Very scary moment. Soma Holmes goes into concussion protocol Chad Henny comes into the game. In any weed figures out a way to win that game. And no, I'm not here. Tilbury. Kevin's too fancy for punting on fourth and nine from his own 32 with 4 19 left in the game. I mean, he was going up against Chad, Henny, Henny. Just wanna pick on the last possession. It was a terrible picket that so if you're the opposing team, you want to get the ball back in his hands because good things are bound to happen for you. And sure enough, the Browns defense gets to third and four almost immediately. Ah, good thing was about to happen. And yet somehow Andy and Eric managed to avoid those good things happening for the Browns. Instead, they managed to make great things happen for themselves. Henny completes a pass for five yards and a first down. In Cleveland gets that huge Myles Garrett sack on second down, Then you've got them third and long, exactly where you want it. 13 14 And then somehow, some way this miracle happens trying.

I guess he's not getting a medal of freedom to me. Oh, anybody come on, champ all about Bela Chick in the middle of freedom here, he misses the playoffs. That's incredible More from Mike Vrabel here, the Tennessee Titans get picked off. Wait the game on their final drive there. Ryan Tannehill throws a pick his wide receiver just sort of falls down as she's going into the kind of it was Malcolm Butler, who picked him off anyway. Picks him off ends. The game gets the W Mike Vrabel your thoughts right after that, and don't forget when they played earlier this year. The Titans danced on the Ravens logo before the game. Ravens went out in chancellor local after that interception might very well, you have any thoughts on that? No, our coach Titans, not the Ravens. Okay, already, coaches, the Titans, not the river. So so let's say they sign off if you sign the player, let's say to a hundred million dollars. Huh? Allen Robinson. Allen Robinson is probably going to get twenty over. Let's say a hundred million dollars, you might get more than that, but five year at $1,000 if you sign with the Patriots, let's say let's do that 13% of that. Let's just like 13% of that. We thirteen million dollars would be his 2021 cap number. It wouldn't be twenty million dollars. So so that's how the pictures could sign several. Elite players to the deal if they continue with the structure. It's really up to how much cash the Patriots are willing to to allocate this year two thousand this year and I'll say this 2021 is the first year of the three of a the cash spending requirement. Right? Right. They know and I you know, I'm pretty sure they had they had to have met the 89% been requiring for last for the previous four years. Without the most expensive typically the most expensive player on their roster to QB right now is we difficult for the patience to get to that meet that need a spending requirement for the next three years without if they have a rookie deal with a rookie on a quarterback for a frown rookie such thing. So you want to so if they have let's say they exact trade up and get a rookie quarterback, right? He's still be on a rookie deal. Now that you guys still spend cash to read that cash that minimum. That's where you spend the money on on the other place.

"The cleveland browns. Two thousand two. The last time this franchise was in the playoffs but they beat the steelers yesterday's and they get in and dan. They started out running the football with nick. Chubb that power. Run game with nick chubb. You see that offensive line. Kind of changing. Denting the line of scrimmage and then chubs depth pig playmaking physical and not between the tackles but also got big enough speed and baker. Getting don is looking for tight. End up ten nine on first and goal in the third quarter this afternoon. Yeah the fact that they went back to this he missed it in the same play gets his is. Backside finds often prefer touchdown. No ben in this game mason rudolph way had some good moments. And then he had this one really good blitz packet by the browns defensive drop myles garrett into and then that safety to sit there like all right. Don't leave the ball mason. Rudolph shoots turner for this defense. Need mental switched sides on the field because it went to the fourth quarter and then it went to jarvis landry and the browns were up twenty four to nine not love this play. Call you kind of get. Landry sideline to sideline and you handed off for the touchdown. And then finally you get the ball out of pittsburgh's defense something that chase claypool done. So well look at his ability. Go up kind of contest for that. Catch over jumped. The fence and back touchdown pitchford. That made it twenty four sixteen and then under two minutes to go in the game and this is juju smith schuster and all of a sudden. It's twenty four twenty two dan. How about the two point conversion you gotta make sure at some point. This guy's got the opportunity to go high point of all scrambled around. Give them a chance to go get his hands on that. Football fewer still had chances stephen. Carlson somehow manages to come up with this on side kick. he's eighty nine cleveland. There for a moment there was kind of between the wickets. If you know what i mean. But he manages to hang onto it. And then dan baker mayfield runs with the first down the isis. The player not love the play call by defense came look at the emotion from baker mayfield. You don't kind of representing that city. Just look how much it means to him to finally get that done in cleveland. Good for him good for them. The browns are in the playoffs. The afc wild card round will kick off saturday.

"Back of every time you do that, And so there's this one's interesting because if you remember Mason Rudolph's gonna play quarterback today, how's he going to respond to going back to the scene where he got into that? I don't know if I can even call it a scuffle. Just all out. Brawl Fight Miles carry swing from defensive and Myles Garrett. I mean, that was stunning. How that all went down to Mason wrote off and prevent her office. Burger as they're going to arrest him, moving into the playoffs to the Browns have a 57.6% chance to make the playoffs. Banking clinch with a win. Or an Indianapolis loss. There's also the scenario in which they can make it in if the Ravens cults and dolphins all win, but the Titans Luzon Steelers, they locked up the F C North, but they're eliminated from the chance for the number one spot in the conference. They can clinch the second seed with a win and a Buffalo lost today. Cleveland's winning today which will be crazy because they have lost the tin straight week, 17 games overall, the last time they won a game in week 17, which is nuts. 2009 just goes to show you kind of the mentality is different. And I think now pressure burst pipes. They haven't had pressure before. But I think Baker Mayfield lives for these games right now, If you take a look at what this defense is going to be able to do, they're getting a little bit closer back to a little bit normal string. I'm or concerned about the direction the Steelers are trending at this point. I mean, they have just been a dumpster fire on offense, and I think Cleveland has too much for him a little bit later today, all right, let's head to the NFC. Give me the game that you're looking at which one we're going out. Cowboys at Giants counter.

You let a man come off the tall it the week before, and then you come down and you lose to the Jets, and then you lose the big brother. The dog Pound must feel like they're cursed. Yeah, He's got to get a win right. Mason. Rudolph, who will start for the Steelers under center, says he has not heard from Myles Garrett since the team's brawl last year. "Vince Quinn in for J. R. And this is the love shack tonight. Um So Speaking of something very lovey. Let's talk about Myles Garrett and Mason Rudolph Shelley because here's a fun little element that's been added to the game. It turns out that Myles Garrett. Is going to be Cleveland's team captain. He's going to go out to midfield. You will be a part of the coin toss. For the game this weekend against the Steelers. So, of course Myles Garrett, representing the Browns as they go against Mason Fruit off it's just It's hysterical, and it's one of those things you love to see. And for a couple of reasons, I mean one. It's a great move Beiste of fancy. Apparently, the background of this was basically The fans get had conversations with Myles Garrett earlier in the year. Gary thought he might be the guy that was gonna be the team captain in a game against Dallas. That didn't happen, so they asked him what game he would want. He had picked this game week. 17. They thought they'd be competitive anyway. And so is the fans. He goes. Yeah, let's go. We'll give you that game, and he wanted to trust his guy and let him be a face of the team and a big moment. And now you get this hilarious coincidence to go with it as he's just supporting his Young leader on the franchise that he's representing the TV this game against my Mason Rudolph, which obviously the whole relationship is hilarious because Miles Garrett And for some people I had to just blow steam about nobody caring about offensive lineman and how that bothers me. I Myles Garrett is most notably known. Recently. For ripping the helmet off of Mason Rudolph's head and trying to beat him with it. So That's his reputation right now. But here's the thing. Miles Garrett as much is that something that's really stuck with him, and I'll admit that I've talked about it A good deal. The guy's an amazing player. Let's not forget how good of a player Myles Garrett is and for what he represents. It's not just the face of the Cleveland Browns as a guy that's a number one overall pick. That has lived up to the hype and the expectation, but he's becoming a face of the league. I mean, if we're talking about this guy, by the way, hard knocks notable personality on hard knocks, writing poetry and stuff. He's just an interesting dude. So you've got this really fascinating young guy with the status of the number one overall pick got this ugly incident attached to him, But he's a Walter Payton, man of the year if he's somebody that represents the turnaround of the Cleveland Browns. You're gonna be hearing a lot about Myles Garrett. So little things like this, giving him a spotlight in a game that matters immense live. This has to be one of the most important games of the Cleveland Browns have had since they returned as a franchise like this game is a huge deal. And so for Garrett tol that little nod there. It's a nice thing for the Browns for the league for Garrett. I just love seeing that move. So anyway, a 55 to 1 to 4 to 27. That's how he joined the show. Go to Dave in Florida. Dave, what's going on? Hey, what's happening, bro? Thanks for taking my call. Yeah, I'm old school, So I just wanna I just wanna take you back to a day when the hogs because I'm listening to you Talk about your offensive linemen Don't really get no love anymore. The hogs back in the day with we have big Joe Jacoby. We had Russ Grimm. We had Jeff Boston. We have Raleigh McKenzie. We had George Stark. And they put all offensive lineman on the map back in the day, and everybody should love so I'm just gonna hang up and let you talk about that. Because that was days I grew up there. Yeah, we were the hog. But, Dave, I appreciate it. But That was the eighties. That's what point that's like, I'm glad because I remember like, I'm not gonna say I remember Rusk Rim, but I've heard a lot about Russ Grimm over the years because he was a part of the hogs. This iconic group of linemen, but How many iconic groups of linemen are there? How many exists for all of these great offenses that we've labeled over the years, right? Like how many times we've been like, Oh, this elite unit of offensive linemen that was so good that everybody knew about them and they had a nickname. It doesn't happen. Their offensive lineman. People just aren't interested. Unless you're holding the football and actually scoring touchdowns or getting sacks. Nobody cares. It's just Oh, these guys didn't blow the game. That's why you'll never see because here's the thing I feel for offensive linemen, because think about the work that you have to do. You're doing a job that is the most physical job in the most physical sport. You have to fight people. Every single down with major consequences If you get beat, your quarterback is going to get killed. If you're the guy that leads to your quarterback getting killed. Nobody is going to like you. Right, right. That is a bad spot to be. If you don't get rewarded much you don't get praised much. It's mostly negativity. So I feel for those guys to see a guy like David Bachtiar e. Go down for the year, and everyone just kind of shrugs at it. It's like that's sad man. It's It's a sad state of things for the sport. When you've got a guy that's this high profile, and people just don't seem to really be interested. I don't know how many people know who he is. Before I said the name David Bachtiar and explain that he's with the Packers. Did you know about him? Do you know what position he played? You know what I mean? Like it. Just it kills me. It kills anyway, Let's e gotta end that right, Let's go to Ah, Let's go to Gary in Jacksonville. Gary, you're on the air. What's up? Happy New Year event. I think my daughter's in the perfect season. The early seventies, they had three that went to the hall saying that Jim Langer, Larry Little Bob Kuechenberg horse numbers. Mm. I like my dad. Just like tents. I'm just convinced that last week that miracle comeback against the laters Bess isn't like all about who's gonna have a huge day. "It would be nice toe get in wanting the same thing can be said for the Browns. But now there is no the news that for today in the NFL is that Ryan Fitzpatrick has tested positive for Cove it he is not available, not the starter, even though he's come in twice the season for For two up. So you know, In theory, there's not that big of a deal. But you know, he is definitely coming when the Dolphins Nina, given the spark does that affect the outcome it all to you. A little bit because there's no way that the team didn't feel better, with Fitzpatrick being able to play because they have confidence in him. He's done it twice where he comes in, rallies the troops and they end up winning because of the way he plays, And so now, I mean they're not down onto they obviously think, too, is their guy, and that's why they made their switch. But you'll have your binky anymore. You don't have your safety blanket that it's okay for struggling because Ryan can come in and Sprinkle that it's magic honest in the fourth quarter. It's all it's to a time. So I see that's this thing with the Dolphins that I think that the team If you ask the players and the coaching staff, they would want Ryan Fitzpatrick in there. They think he's the starter. Given the best chance to win, too, I think is the that's a call by the owners, and it's Honestly, it's probably a little bit too early. I something that was reason to give up onto a But there is a weird dichotomy. There are division between. I think the Bangles is one of those 123 Cancun games. They're just like, Let's get out of here and start the off season. I know that's more of a basketball, but, yeah, I don't think the Bangles put up much of a fight, though they have won their last two games, so they might be feeling themselves. But I just don't see them doing anything. Verse. The First the Ravens. I hope the Bangles don't go, too. Can't cure like who who? Who was traveling to exotic locations of this time? Come on. Digger, Jason. I'm aware I was kind of Ravens. There are should you know when this handedly Lamar Jackson's come out the perfect time. Next up is Browns, Steelers Browns or a nine point favorite? Against the Steelers. This is gonna be the Mason Rudolph versus mild Myles Garrett gain the first time I've been rustlers out. I would imagine anybody of importance for the Steelers is gonna be out. Watts out. Yeah. Whichever of there County. Yes, he's out there on the Steelers. That guy's out. Um, but the Browns are still dealing with the fact that I don't have any wide receivers. Do you fight back? Can you look at film and see if anything was said. I've watched the film over and over the NFL's watch the film a budge, they said. There's no evidence of anything being said. You would think someone else would have heard it. They weren't the only two players around. Yeah, And I also think that, um It doesn't matter if you want to go and fight it in court, and I think it ultimately becomes for your own personal pride. Because the story was he called him the n word the people that believe that to be true. Probably aren't gonna change their mind. And if a court found him innocent, I don't think that changes anybody's mind either. The public of the Court of Public opinion has already made their decisions and you suing him and possibly winning. I don't think we'll change anything. So it goes to court and then Year, two years down the road. There's a blurb in a newspaper that says, Oh, Mason Rudolph won a lawsuit. It's not going to do anything for his public image. That's a good point, and they're not gonna be able to prove it anyway. So it's gonna be one dude's word against another dude's word. Myles Garrett seems very sincere and very contrite about what he did, but at the same time doubling down and saying, Yeah, this guy called me V n. Word said he called me the n word That's hard to believe that a quarterback in the NFL Is the NFL's What? 70% African American. I believe. It's really tough to believe that a white quarterback is going to utter the n word out there. I'll tell you, who is not happy is is Mike Tomlin because he's pretty much going on a media tour and he's He's upset Nazi Pittsburgh Steelers coach. Yeah, I got a little bit if you want it. Oh, yeah, please. I took offense to it to be quite honest with you when it first transpired during the season. We don't have a lot of time to pause and fight battles of that nature. We said our piece we were completely cooperative with all parties involved. The Cleveland Brown organization and the National Football League office, and then we had to move on way had another game await nous and when we're to be singularly focused, But when these allegations returned this past weekend, I thought was appropriate that Mason is properly defended. It wasn't thorough investigation done by us in the National Football League. I don't think that that was represented during that piece. Um these accusations are serious, not only in terms of Mesa, Rudolph's character, but his professional pursuits nobody on that feel a zoo member of the Cleveland Browns or the Pittsburgh Steelers corroborated what was said by Mao's guarantee that was founded by US in the National Football League. What's up, Okay or not Okay to sue if you're being called a racist I think it's okay to sleep. But I think I think Garrett is almost forced to lie about this because what he did with that helmet is one of the worst things I've ever seen in a football game. He could have murdered him easily. Sin, and it's just so weird because, like he needs a way to justify the rage that he showed, But but from the vibe that I got He doesn't strike me as a guy who would do that unless there was an extreme reason for it. And that might be the white quarterback saying the n word, You know, I think when the adrenaline's pumping, you're going to do crazy things sometimes, and he knows that swinging that helmet. It's so bad that if he doesn't come up with some kind of reason to justify it, other teams and coaches and his future, his career are going to question if they can trust this guy to have him on their team. He's got to say something crazy to justice by that, because it's not just football, but all sports one of the worst things I've ever seen. Yeah, it visually. It's so it's just shocking to see a player picking up his helmet and going after a quarterback with it. Adrenaline is one thing, but like do you He does. I don't know. What the hell do we know about him? But he just doesn't look like the kind of guy doesn't come off as a kind of guy Who's going to chase a quarterback down with the helmet for no reason. And I mean, this is this isn't just some guy maybe you know will be Signed or not signed here. This is an all pro player. This is a guy who is really good and has a really good reputation around the league. This isn't a repeat offenses type situation. So, um You have to ask yourself. What the hell happened? 7275791125 and 807 71 wanted to five. You really do because he lost it. I mean, he absolutely lost it on the quarterback. And does a guy do that if he's if he's not called the n word. Scott. What's up? Welcome to grab alive. Hey, Thanks for having me guys. I'm gonna say it's not okay. Uh, sue anybody for Words, you know whether it's Myles Garrett suing for somebody saying the N word or it's Mason Rudolph soon for somebody saying he's a racist, you know, but then today is just where it sticks and stones, right. But then Johnson and I wanted to also say, I'm pretty sure if the helmet has a green dot on the back of it. It has a radio to the play calling box upstairs. I believe it's a one way radio. And this is this article that someone just sent me taking a closer look at Miles Garrett's explanation of the Mason route off incident. Goes into detail that he said. Um most quarterbacks where Mike's in their helmets, Garrett said, ignoring the fact that quarterbacks where speakers not microphones in their helmet. So I think it is. Think the middle linebacker on defense can too. I think you have Ah, play caller on both sides of the ball there. Um, but, yeah, I think it's a one way I think you're right there to the thank you. What do you think about public? Some not okay to anybody for the words that come out of your mouth Got you thinking. 77 5791125 and 807 71125 to grovel live below. What's going on, guys? And there's a brawl going down inside the ten yard line and getting in there was myles Garrett and took the helmet off of Mason Rudolph along it and that David Decastro and Marquees pouncey came in and they started really laying in so it was myles. Garrett took the helmet off of Mason Rudolph and slammed him on the top of my head dunk. Oh boy miles. We're going to get one too. That'd be suspended. Oh my goodness wow luxury what happened. I mean come off the edge by ten years less than fifteen seconds. 'cause I should've have and I usually have in that situation. Just wasn't there and not just reflect the myself and allowing myself to never know being the situation but if I am to to handle it better. What did he say to you? Call me the N. Word Kami a stupid and we're I don't like I don't say the N. word whether it's not a he are to me personally just shouldn't be said and whether it's known by family friends anyone and I don't WanNa use it because I don't want to find the appropriate around me for anyone to use. So when he said it kind of sparks something but I still tried to let it go still walk away once he came back. Kinda Kinda reignited this situation and now only have you know escalate things. No Pass what it needs to be no with a little time in the game left. Now you're now you're trying to know reengaged and start a fight again and no. It's definitely not entirely his fault. Stephanie both parties. Doing something that you shouldn't have been doing so. He denied that he said what you're alleging. And then after your initial appeal leaked out and you said I wish this didn't get out at all. My was because I didn't want to try to use it as justification for my actions because there is nothing to justify like there's there's nothing I can say or do to justify what I did on that day. I'm not saying there's no to justify than I didn't do anything wrong and I know what I know what happened. I know what I heard. People say things when they're heated aren't the full of emotion. I leave it on the feel.

"The clip of Mina kimes interview with myles. Garrett Cleveland Browns Defensive Lineman. He reiterates the racial slur claim against Mason Rudolph. Here so he says that during that melee back in November that Mason. Rudolph used a racial slur and here is a portion of that interview with me crimes and Myles Garrett I mean come off the edge. Ten letters less than fifteen seconds. I remember that I didn't WanNa be on the field but now since I was already out there and they were throwing the ball sales going to play so he started the Baugh. He's he's wanting to throw. I'm going to hit him in the strike zone. I'm not trying to do anything illegal. I go to take him down. He says some worry that we're going down. What did he say to you? I mean he called me the n Word Kami stupid and we're I don't like I don't say the N. word whether it's a PR to me personally. Just shouldn't be Sir all right. That didn't want to use it as justification for my actions because there's nothing to justify like there's there's nothing I can say or do just what I did on that day. Browns' Garrett reinstated after helmet-hit suspension
"The NFL has reinstated Browns defensive end myles Garrett You may remember. Garrett was suspended indefinitely after ripping someone's helmet off and hitting him in the head with it was that wrong shouldn't have done that. Visit frowned upon Danza. Yes This was on Thursday football back in November so this suspension ended up really being six games. that why that's what my question was going to be to you. Is that enough of a punishment for on national television ripping a quarterback's helmet often hitting him over the head with it. I think more punishment would have been making play. Wait for the browns. The rest of the year so Yeah finally like it was. It was bad yes embarrassing yes. Was He punished. Yes we over yes. I'm getting there also is. I mean I'm surprised. They may be ruled so quickly could have waited until June to renew. There's nothing really going on right now but by the Thai comes back right now I mean look the the only reason I would hold that suspension to be longer now is I believe he made up the racist thing and I would punishing more right I would. I would be but that would be an additional because what you don't know that I don't but like you don't mention it immediately afterwards to anybody you you had the microphone in your hand and all you had to say was look. I'm not gonNA say what he said but he said something that set me off. None of that was mentioned so I would have been okay with an additional suspension. Because that I believe he made it up. I believe he made it up. There are play other men around and only he was the only heard. It didn't mention it until a couple of weeks later when he was going before the. The Commissioner's office trying to get out of it. He claimed he went racial that one I would have held the suspension the greater but six games like whatever for whatever reason. It's okay to make up that that. Why do a racist just just just note K one? You can't take those things back that you said to I. I know that social media wants to believe that there's this high level of white racists out there there's not we are ridding them slowly slowly from the earth or at least from America much. It's like we're ridding ourselves of people who say Washington instead of Washington

Myles Garrett's Appeal
"Is additional information on me myles Garrett Mason Rudolph incident that occurred last Thursday and Thursday night football and Josefina. I'll ask you right now just to add what we learned today. Yeah sources telling me and Adam Schefter that myles Garrett made as part of his defense during the appeal hearing yesterday Per what he included in his defense that Mason Rudolph allegedly used a racial slur during the incident. Thursday night. Football as we're watching right here last last week and that he wanted to have this as part of the context as far as what her you know what happened and and that it created a argumentative exchange range during the appeal myles. Garrett had an opportunity to speak at the beginning of the appeal and also at the end. It's also my understanding that hearing officer James Thrash asked him if T- were to have something like this happen again. How we handle it differently? Hypothetically and Mas Garrett said that he wouldn't want this to escalate in this way and given the opportunity he would have tried to walk away. So we're still waiting for the decision for James Strache into basically figure out how this impacts if at all you know the decision from the hearing hearing officer with regards to the length of the suspension which right now is at an indefinite link. Good thank you for adding not myles. Garrett has been suspended indefinitely at the very least the rest of this regular regular Susan. Here is the response of the Pittsburgh steelers mason that is of course. Mason Rudolph vehemently denies the report of being accused of using a racial slur during the incident. Thursday night in Cleveland. St They're spokesman Bert Lawton said on Thursday. He will not discuss this accusation any further and his focus remains on preparation for Sunday's game game against the bengals. We're joined now by Adam schefter again Josefina and Adam reporting this story and Adam again additional information the accusation and the use of a racial slur. Well Wendy let me read to you. If you don't mind a statement that just came in moments ago from Mason Rudolph Attorney Timothy Younger because I feel like this is an important part of the story to get out there right now I'm just calling it up right now. We're getting into this as it's breaking here basically basically he says according to ESPN is appeal. myles Garrett myles Garrett falsely asserted that Mason Rudolph utter a racial slur towards him prior to swing a helmet of Mason's uncovered head in a desperate attempt to mitigate a suspension. This is a lie. This false allegation was never asserted by Garrett in the aftermath method game never suggested prior to the hearing and conspicuously absent in the apology published by the browns and adopted by Garrett then malicious use of this wild and unfounded unfounded. Allegation is an assault on Mason's integrity which is far worse than the physical assault witnessed on Thursday. This is reckless shameful. We will have no further comment that is from Timothy Younger. The attorney for Mason Rudolph when he heard of the allegations here this afternoon. Now the Pittsburgh steelers are out on the practice practice field as we speak and Mason Rudolph was scheduled to speak to the media following the practice session. We'll see whether or not he still does. But obviously we've you've got two versions of the events that have now unfolded at the. NFL appeal for myles Garrett indefinite suspension. We've got myles Garrett alleging that Mason Rudolph said something to him a racial slur that preceded that fight on Thursday night and we have Mason Rudolph strongly deny at least as attorney strongly strongly denying it and ruby up to the NFL to sort through this to determine what is real and what is not Adam Schefter. Thank you again to your point. The steelers have also released a statement saying that Mason denies any use of a racial slur. He did addressed media yesterday. Adam report he would have spoken again today. It appears unlikely. But here is what Mason Rudolph said yesterday definitely didn't say anything escalated it but like I said I do a better job. Keep my composure. And those situations uh-huh unfortunate situation for teams love again. The Information Shen this after noon is that during his defenses appellate hearing myles Garrett alleging Mason Rudolph used a racial slur that precipitated. What happened in that incident Thursday night? Let me just ask it. Simply if that is the case does it change in your mind anything that transpired after the fact no I still think regardless of what was said to you or regardless of you know what said racial slur was said. You still have to conduct yourself in a way that is conducive to others. Yes and not swinging a helmet isn't the way you combat that right swinging a helmet in the heat of the battle isn't the way you combat someone giving you a racial slur in that moment now how I can see where he would take it to that measure. I can understand that but this is the right thing to do. No so it's unfortunate. Obviously that that you know were here at this point in this in in this whole scenario are feels like it's just dragging on and on and on now But if there's racial so did occur. It's tough because there's one wins word against another. There's nobody else that's confirming coming. This is just someone saying it and it's just tough to kind of wrap your mind around all of this because of everything that's transpired up until this point would vick was saying the swinging over helmet and hitting somebody else in the head with that. I think that's where the the biggest issue was in the big shock factor that everyone saw that night. was somebody getting hit with a helmet right right if the helmet was never swung. There isn't the suspension for the rest of the season. I think that's it's pretty simple. So the whole racial thing yes. That's it's a very serious allegation and it's a serious thing thing but at the end of the day it's swinging a helmet at the violence of that is the reason that that he is suspended for length of time that he's suspended for for and just to be clear here one more time. The facts are simply these myles. Garrett has alleged that Mason Rudolph used a racial Slur Mason Rudolph via the steelers and his representation tation has vehemently denied that. And that's really where we stand myles. Garrett has been suspended indefinitely the very least the remainder of the regular season we. I do not know yet the outcome of that appellate hearing and. That's not the only thing that was stated you guys talked about yesterday. The precedent that was mentioned with regards to the Antonio Smith with Vincent with Richie Incognito at instance. You know being different when you're talking about distinguishing whether helmet hit someone on the head and in one incident where that did not happen now when I was talking to sources last night about this trying to say you know well if it's not a complete apples to apples comparison you know. How do you necessarily bring that up? As part of Malls Garrett's defense offense and I was told well players have an expectation for somewhat similar disciplined with regards to somewhat similar instances in my retort back was I could see how the NFL would come back and say well especially now that we're in the age of the NFL putting an emphasis on ahead being hit that they could make that distinction in that. There is where the difference is now with regards to your question to you. Know them and you know how does that. Add to the context of the situation. Obviously Fli myles Garrett should never have used a helmet on Mason Rudolph had that said any racial slur in and of itself is also important and is it's not something that should be tolerated in any workplace during any scenario as well. Well we will continue to follow this again Anderson. Adam schefter reporting that as part of his his defense and his appellate hearing myles Garrett is alleging that Mason Rudolph used a racial slur prior to the incident. That occurred Thursday night. We will have much more on this to come. Ah

Beyond the Helmet Hit: Who is Myles Garrett?
"Myles Garrett delivered enact that will define him for the rest of his. NFL career from now on no matter what he does people will always remember myles Garrett Eric as the guy that could have killed football player on a football field by taking his helmet and swinging it like a weapon. Brown's defensive end myles Garrett has appealed suspension for striking steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph in the head with his own helmet. Who is the player behind that violent image Mitch burned into fans minds? ESPN's Ryan Smith sat down for extensive interviews with Garrett before this fateful season began today today. The story of mild-mannered pass rusher. WHO's now at the center of a football firestorm? It's Thursday November twenty first. I mean this is. ESPN daily presented by Dell small-business yesterday myles myles Garrett went to New York to appeal his suspension. What happened but let's remember this all stems from the game Thursday Night Ryan Smith is a correspondent and legal analyst for ESPN CLEVELAND Browns? Pittsburgh steelers and in the final seconds Mason Rudolph and myles Garrett get into who it and myles Garrett pulls off Mason Rudolph Helmet and hits them with and getting in there was myles Garrett. Ain't took the helmet off off and slammed him on the top of the head. Oh my goodness data and Garett an indefinite suspension at minimum suspended for the rest of the season and the playoffs offs myles Garrett is agent his lawyers they all met in front of an appointed artless common arbitrator for this James Thrash. A person I would hear this case former. NFL Player and presented his case. Any argued from precedent. He basically said that a couple years back. You're a player for the Texans. Antonio Smith swung his helmet at then. Offensive Lineman Richie Incognito for the dolphins and that earned Smith a two game suspension during the preseason and a one game regular season suspension so for Garrett and his people the arguments simple. That's what happened the last time something like this this happened. And that's what should happen for me. Knock a lengthy suspension. I'm getting right now Ryan Myles Garrett. Wasn't the only player involved in the news this today. Mason Rudolph also gave a statement from my involvement. Last week there is no acceptable. Excuse the bottom line is I should have done a better job keeping my composure. In that situation and fall short when I believe it means it'd be a Pittsburgh steeler a member of the NFL. What did you make of that? Here Mason Rudolph is on the day that myles Garrett is having his appeal hearing and he gets up in front of everybody and he apologizes for his. Is Babe you're in this. I found this stunning here. You've got a guy accused of attacking another guy getting lengthy suspension for it and on the day of the hearing the person who arguably I guess you could say has been victimized comes up and talks about his part in it and almost in some ways exonerates the aggressor and in a way showed that. Hey we all had a role in this and nobody should be excused. Everybody has a little bit of blame. I have no ill will towards myles Garrett great respect for his ability as a player and I know this you know if miles could go back you would handle the situation differently Ryan part of the reason I wanted to talk about this story with you is that you spend a lot of time with myles Garrett. You interviewed him for sixty this summer. You got to know him so I was wondering wondering where were you when you first saw the incident. And what was your reaction. I was at home and I was just kind of hanging out flipping through the channels stop by ESPN. And I see something involving myles Garrett and I. It doesn't really compute to me what I'm looking at. But then as I looked closer I realize is exactly what he did. And and I'm hearing the commentary I'm hearing the outrage but the first word that popped in my mind was why I would never ever in any way. Excuse the conduct. It's just an excusable no matter what happened but I spent better couple days with them in our reporting for east sixty and this was a guy who's introverted. This was a guy who in some ways is mild mannered. Heard if you can believe it and this was about as far as anything I would expect from myles Garrett based on the Guy I know what is it that brought him to this point. Well who has the guy you knew. What was it like when you met him? You know what's so interesting. I got to tell you the very first time I met him. He walks downstairs to sit in our interview chair. And he's wearing a queen shirt. He starts talking about Queen loves the group loves. The music is imploring me to go see the movie that kind of is myles Garrett in a nutshell he's exactly nothing like what you would expect from a guy who replays the way he does who appears the way he is his interest are so wide ranging. It was nothing like anything I ever expected. He loves poetry a tree. He's been writing poetry since he was a boy emslie. He walks among the missed unseen. Two most he doesn't exist. He loves COMEX. He's going to comecon this year to attend some events somewhere down the line. I left to go and not to species for. Hey I'm just here to house and finally the costumes. Maybe one day no just myself. He wanted to dress dragon. Ball Z. Character he he loves anime things like that at the beginning of the interview he said to me I was a boy who report Mama for other man to play Publ Myles Myles Garrett. The person is far different from myles Garrett the football player what did you learn about his upbringing. I mean this is a guy who came from a family of athletes so much talent athletically. His mom was an all American American in track. His sister won a national championship. In track is brother played basketball for the nets. And I'm not just talking about average athletes but really really top level athletes another flight. You can do anything like do whatever makes you happy. But you're going to play some sports. He had sort of this. Love hate relationship that that was more hate when it comes to football playing football at that time even though really didn't want to but at that time I really didn't care for bod playing coming back are you can't play vic so played off of the linemen definitely not for me. I played the game and good at it but there was something missing was Kinda and that passion for the game so it was kind of hard to be okay amounts. His First Love was really basketball and at one point when he was in high school athletic director wanted him to play football. so He's a look. You can play basketball as long as you play football. So how does does he go from being a kid who wasn't even sure if he wanted to play the sport to being the number one overall draft pick and it's a really interesting story when he was around around his sophomore year coaches sat him down parents in the room and they sorta gave him an ultimatum. So you're GONNA put your heart in it or you're not what you're gonNA stop waste of People's time laid it all on the line or you can bring your hips almond bus. Sit Down and do I really want this. Do I really WANNA play football. I'm all my life and they say this the get it. No you could be one of the best. It could be the best player in the nation. This guy is a competitor like he wants. That's to win. And I think when he heard that that it could be the best in the country that SORTA gave him permission to sort of go after people to be the aggressive to be fiery on the field. It wasn't about hurting people. It was about showing people that he is the best that he can be the best best and from then on his play chains really started piling up sack numbers by midway through his senior year. Now you got scores scouts else coming in to see him and as he says. Nick Sabin

Will Myles Garrett Get Lengthy Suspension for Helmet Swing?
"Fight. That is GONNA be remembered a lot longer than the Cleveland browns. Twenty one two seven victory on Thursday night football over the Pittsburgh. steelers I am Greg Rosenthal alongside Chris Wesseling in your beautiful house. Chris unfortunately has got to go to bed. She's got an early shift to get to. And you know we've got some wild things to talk about because this game was secondary and we'll get to the game in a bit was largely forgettable big win for the browns but the last ten seconds in which myles Garrett through Mason Rudolph to the ground and then wound up taking his helmet off and Hidden Mason. Rudolph in the head with the helmet is obviously something we've never seen in. NFL history trying to think of similar circumstances Albert handsworth stomping and kicking. Andre Garard the the Cowboys Center in two thousand. Six comes to mind. He was suspended. Five Games for that But it was about as ugly as it gets in the immediate thought is. Can't browns fans just enjoy anything. And then what is the NFL going to do with myles Garrett. Yeah I think we both mentioned the Albert Hanes worth thing to each other and then I think to me it also reminded me a little bit of that west of his playoff game tobacco with the bengals and steelers just losing control at the end of the game. In this case it's really marquees. POUNCEY will be suspended but it's really hard to blame the steelers for much of this. They lost two guys two receivers to helmet-to-helmet hits from undisciplined browns team and then Myles Garrett just lost control just he went outside of his body. It seemed like Doc. He hit brewed off late on the play. which I don't think should be lost in what happens because immediately fans say hey? Rudolph was grabbing his helmet. He was trying to take his off as if he was starting. First of all. It doesn't really matter if that was true and he started anyways but Gary knew what he was doing. It's eight seconds left in the game. Rudolph clearly let go of the past and Garrett was getting in an extra shot in Garrett has such a smart guy writes poetry. He's he's such a smart player the way he plays but he has has a reputation of getting those little extra shots like. He has a little of a reputation among players or broadcaster. He pushes the envelope. And you like that sometimes as as a player but as a fan. But I don't know what it was in this case He. He felt like he had to get that extra shot. And then what happened. And he felt like he had to take Rudolph's helmet and I don't think there's anything you can really do to explain it. It's just a question of whether we see him again this year and everyone immediately after the game is saying we can't see him again. This zero we're trying to protect players and that's probably true. There are six games left in the year. I usually just go off precedent. There's really no precedent for this to me. This is a lot worse than Hanes. Were didn't hanes worth got five games gear obviously has no previous problem with the League. But it certainly wouldn't be surprising if that's it for myles Garrett this year
