Matt Peterson Shares His Take on the Weaponization of Government
"Another thing I want to reinforce for our audience though, George W. Bush originally wanted to put Harriet Myers on the court, and it wasn't until conservatives said, no, we've had enough. We want a real constitutionalist. It's a story of also the power of the people, which segues to a question I want to ask you about Matt, I want to spend some time on. And this is a piece from MSNBC. It looked, quote, Merrick Garland is acting like an attorney general is supposed to act as their investigating Donald Trump potentially going to indict Trump going after many Trump allies. What is your take on this outright naked and public weaponization of government against political opponents? Look, Americans have to wake up and realize that what's happening here is extremely serious. And you know, I don't see how you get back to normal any time within our lifetimes. I mean, what you're doing by criminalizing dissent by criminalizing the other side by using the power of government against the other side is you're starting a cycle in which both sides are going to have to do the same thing in order to keep up with each other in order to stay afloat in order to stay alive. And this is a desire for a one party state. And what you have to think is, if you were responsible, a responsible political leader, even if you were on the left, you would realize that by criminalizing dissent by trying to criminally prosecute your political opponents, you are, this is the height of irresponsibility. You are going to throw the country into a divide, a debate, a conflict that escalates.

Democrat Wolves in Sheep's Clothing With John Gibbs
"And there is a great candidate running against Peter Meyer, who, by the way, some of you might not live in Michigan, some people might not even been to Michigan. Some of you say, I don't really care that much about Michigan, we should. Michigan is a great place. But I will say this, you should care about getting these impeachment voters. Out of line and better candidates in place, and the man running against him is John Gibbs, who's terrific from western Michigan, he joins us right now. John, welcome to the Charlie Kirk show. Charlie, thanks for having me on. It's great to be able to spend some time with you today. Likewise, tell us why you're running and tell us what is your message against the snake Peter Meyer. Peter Meyer betrayed everyone in our district. Bayes after being in Congress find literally days in there. His first vote he takes is to impeach Trump. People put in their sweat and their tears and their money to Peter Myers campaign helping him win just as you guys did, Charlie, and he was saying all the right things. People thought he was a real deal. When he got in there, just a few days after he really backstabbed everyone. So he is not providing leadership. He is not representing the people that voted for him. And so I felt that I needed to do it. I wasn't planning to. After serving our time in the Trump administration, I was maybe going to work for a think tank and be out of the spotlight for a while, but some of our friends from our former White House said, dude, Peter Meyer voted in Peter Trump. You should go back home and run against them. So I decided to pray about it, think about it, get my ducks in a row. It's jumped in head first. It got president Trump's endorsement. Got doctor Ben Carson's endorsement who I worked under in the Trump administration and said, yeah, we really need to do this. We really need to provide leadership for the good people here in west Michigan. There's not getting it right now under Peter

"Jeffrey dressed me nuts. $700 million. And it didn't. Right. Well, we should just say that the first Shrek hair was 2001, obviously like all of them, a big box office hit, but also one, the first Oscar for best animated feature, which put Dreamworks Animation on the map, Shrek two is in 2004, Shrek the third, 2007, Shrek forever after 2010. And then basically the years between that and The Pentagon were as you talked about some of these cool smaller roles in high profile projects, whether it's glorious bachelors for Quentin in 2009 or Bohemian Rhapsody, 2018, both best picture nominated films. But I guess, you know, what's so exciting about The Pentagon is that this is really the first time I guess since the Austin Powers films that we are seeing you go full Mike Myers in the sense of playing a zillion character. I mean, how many are how many characters are you playing in this? The 8 characters. Oh my God. And you created it, produced it, are writing on this. And basically also just the concept because I don't know if everybody knows what the word means. But this actually goes back again to so I married an axe murderer. There's a clip that I didn't realize this until I was prepping. This was something that was sort of like a throwaway line for you 29 years ago. I have been obsessed with secret organizations, my entire life. I think it's a little bit growing up in Canada next to America, which seems like this massive secret organization. But also to my mom had a top secret security clearance during World War II, which I didn't find out about until 1985. But it's just, you know, I have been obsessed with the idea of the masons, the Illuminati, and then in the last little while, what sort of.

"I also wanted to be, I wanted to create a Canadian new wave, you know, like truffaut, who was my hero and Jean-Luc Godard, and God, Louis mall. These were the filmmakers. And I guess in essence I would have been a Canadian cast of it, is because in many ways the cast of Eddie was the American director. But I really wanted to have like a film collective and do that. And then I just kept working. So and for second city, I wonder, you know, I think people have a kind of vague idea of what that means with improv and all of that. But I wonder if you can explain because you were doing it first in Toronto, then in Chicago. Yeah, and you said that your hero was this guy del close. And I wonder if you can talk about why that was. Down close was amongst many heroes that I've had del close was one of the founding members of second city in Chicago, and he, along with Elaine May and Mike Nichols, invented the language of improv comedy. More than anything he taught creativity. And he taught just that there's a unity in all the creative arts, you know what I mean? But he had many, many key sort of phrasings of stuff. One of the things that he said is don't invent, remember. And, you know, the end is in the beginning. He had a lot of stuff all our this transformation, you know, even painting for him was transformation to the extent that paint is constantly drying. So it's moving as well. So everything is transforming everything that's made. And this kind of unified theory of creativity, there isn't a day that I don't quote del close. It's kind of everything that I've enjoyed, he wrote stuff down, you know what I mean? Including the rules of improv with Elaine May. And just being a real source of inspiration..

"Hi everyone and thank you for tuning in to the 441st episode of awards chatter, The Hollywood Reporter's awards podcast. I'm the host Scott feinberg. And my guest today is in the words of The New York Times a quote comic genius quote and quote one of the most successful comedians of his era. A Canadian, he emerged from the world of improv, specifically the second city troops of Toronto and Chicago. He rose to prominence in the world of sketch after joining NBC's Saturday Night Live in 1989, and he became a full fledged movie star through his work in three immensely popular film series. Those built around Wayne's world, Austin Powers, and Shrek, in each of which he played the title character. Now, after a long period of taking on few and exclusively smaller parts, he is back in a project which dropped last week, doing what he does better than anyone else. Playing multiple characters in a project of his own creation. Namely, the Netflix comedy series, The Pentagon. Mike Myers. Over the course of our conversation, one of very few interviews he has granted over the course of his career, the 58 year old and I discussed how his childhood in Canada inspired several of his most famous characters from Wayne Campbell to Austin Powers, the challenges and rewards of playing multiple characters in the same project, which he first did on film in 1990 threes, so I married an axe murderer, a film which also spawned the idea for The Pentagon. Why he has taken numerous years long hiatuses from the screen and why he came back for The Pentagon, plus much more. And so without further ado, let's go to.

"Eric. Make like a mister milk toast. I'm sitting here talking to doctor Jeff Myers president of summit ministries, Jeff, you were just talking about the idea of somebody will say, yes, there are two molecules, a two atoms of hydrogen and one molecule. We want to add them of oxygen in a water molecule. So people don't dispute that. People don't dispute that, you know, 8 times 8 is 64. People don't dispute that Columbus landed in this hemisphere in 1492 for the first time. So these are facts. But what's interesting is that even when you're dealing with less clear information, people can twist it. But what I notice is that once you allow the kind of woke thinking, the cultural Marxist thinking in, they even begin to forbid those like they say that I mean, look, the Nazis did this. The Nazis said, that's Jewish science. And you think, what do you mean? We're talking about science. They said, no, that's Jewish science. We've seen this during the COVID madness, where people say, well, we're going to follow the science, and then you think, but you're not following the science. You're following a narrative, and so we're in a real crisis where you could say the same thing about journalism, right? The fact of the facts, what happened, when did it happen? Journalism has been under attack. So this corrosive effect on the concept of truth has come down to the level where it does affect to some extent science. What are you talking about climate change? It's all become politicized. So it's a weird battle that we're fighting. Yeah, I think you're right. And you think about if a scientist is telling you, trust the science, but they're giving you political information. After a while, you become cynical. Yeah. So, in fact, this is essentially what postmodernism has been. My students are telling me that's the dominant worldview on their campuses. The idea that we should be skeptical of all truth claims because anybody who claims to know the truth is trying to hurt you and control you. So what we have to start with the realization, just as their historical facts, just as they're scientific facts, it is possible to know moral facts, okay? So moral facts. Bingo. It is wrong to torture puppies for fun. Yeah, I've never had a professor who would disagree with me. Or it is wrong to torture your professor for fun. All professors disagree. Or they agree murder is wrong. Racism is wrong, but the problem is that you and I know why those things are wrong because we believe in the God of the Bible. If you don't believe in those things, then how can you say anything is wrong? I mean, I talk about this in my book as atheism dead. We're living in a world that's sort of accept some of these things. But now when you say, okay, why? They kind of look at you because they have lost the why. They have been, they have severed the roots to this book called the Bible. And they just, they kind of act like, well, what do you mean, why? Just because they don't, they've ceased to think clearly, or to be able to think clearly. That's why the main battle of our time is not religious versus non religious. It's truth versus the capital T versus the idea of truths, small tea, the truth is socially constructed in our lives. But you're exactly right. Why would racism be wrong? Why is injustice a bad thing? Why should we pursue justice? All of those questions assume that we are talking about the same thing that there is a way things ought to be because we know what that ought is, so we know when it's not as it ought to be..

"Could happen in America. No. The beauty of a biblical worldview and training young adults in it right now is they realize when they go to class, we teach them how to ask questions. We teach them how to identify counterfeit worldviews. They are the open minded ones, Eric. They're the ones who are asking good questions. They're the ones who are engaging in the classroom discussion. And it's the professor who's trying to shut everything down. So we found there are a lot of our students are having incredible opportunities to stand for truth on their campus because they're the only ones who even believe truth exists. Well, I got to say, you know, you have to be insulated from reality to live in a world where truth is an option or truth is an idea that you don't believe in, because in the real world, you have to believe in it, right? If there's no food, you starve. If you can't pay your bills, you get thrown out of your apartment. If you live in the world of reality, you're forced to deal with reality with truth. But if you're in the university system, or if you have a job in government, you can be insulated from reality. And you have a place where you can be insulated from reality and from truth. And not be forced to deal with the disconnect. Yeah. I think a lot of what we try to help our students with is we know their historical facts. If I said, Martin Luther King was killed in April of 1968, nobody would say, well, that may be your truth, but that's not mine. If I said water is made up of two hydrogen molecules in one oxygen molecule, somebody's going to say, well, maybe that's true at your culture, but in my culture, it's true. So we know there are historical facts. We know there are scientific facts. The question is really, are there moral or philosophical facts? Okay, when we come back, I want to follow this line because this is beautiful. Folks, I'm talking to doctor Jeff Myers, president of summit ministries is the Eric metaxas show don't go away. "Dot com. Somewhere. On the sea Fox welcome back, this is the Eric metaxas show. I'm playing the role of Eric metaxas and I have as my guest, I'm at the NRB in Nashville as my guest, doctor Jeff Myers, who's the president of summit ministries, I have been on your show many times. You have been on this show many times. It's always good to see you. You're an encouragement to me, brother Jeff. Thanks for being here. It's good to see you, Eric. Man, I love the atheism book too. I hope you get to talk about that a lot. I've been doing a lot of interviews here at the NRB on that subject. Listen, sometimes when I wrote that book, I have to say it was kind of like surprising to me. I wasn't planning to write a book on science and biblical gar gal. And now that I've written it, this always happens in retrospect, I think we kind of need this. It's so encouraging. We need encouragement. I mean, things are so crazy. We need to be encouraged. So yeah, you interviewed some biblical truth. There are two of the big issues, but it comes back to is there such a thing as truth. That's what the rising generation doubts. And so giving the evidence is huge. Well, that's what you talk about at summit. And so for people who don't know what summit is, tell my audience, because a lot of people won't know. Now, some administration is the organization that's equipping and supporting the rising generation, young adults to embrace God's truth and champion a biblical worldview..

"You know what i mean so we have characters that aren't sharing every single thought that they have however we never got that through michael myers and like i said i just i just gave up just accepted the fact that he's gonna go around killing and he's just killed random people like there was no specific why he was killing people even though he spread out l. o. Cool j that's cool but what. I love about halloween. It answered all of the questions that we had it addressed. All of it and i moved forward as well unfortunately for us. 'cause we knew this guy is a stone cold killer right even as a kid it was a stone cold killer but there was a part of me that wanted any trae her to leave them sort of empathy. He doesn't know his family. But in my head. I guess i felt i felt so in love with this. Michael myers like he's not gonna kill trae like traer gave him a kindness. I think those are perfect woman in the movie because it showed us. Just how truly who truly buckle is now. But i think it's also like no. You're not supposed to be rooting for this guy can print it predict over it. Like there's no his mean people and if he'd be nice no it doesn't fucking and that's what is so impressive about this mood because laid it on a bloody tapestry for us like whether he is a product of i do feel like his mother was very attentive but obviously unfortunately it's all about costlo. She wasn't able to give as much love and attention as she could have shattered asshole partner. That unfortunately became the father figure. You know for him and his sister and he was kind of left to his own devices was zone devices. And i think this because i think this part of me really wanted to understand the box to real michael for all their movies of seen that we never really got any answers for like. If you're going to give us something new. Give us that. Fuck that he tried to see that. There's an angle missing from. The whole michael myers aspect of it. Yeah and he took it to a direction was like you know you could jump in from the foster hollow into this and ignore everything else and you'll be fucking hoppy as allah wieners of branca's. I would argue you just to rob zombie halloween. Ooh sightsee luck. And there's a reason again at the end of the day the bottom line figures. Don't fucking lie and to me it. It grows a lot because it's deal wall was a dying. What is dying franchise. What should just keep some bank. Fluffed up to stay alive when this nothing really then at least for me when i know a plant is dying. I stopped fucking watering it. Yeah just water thinking that you're gonna make five million on top of investment sloughing men small thune well. I didn't really have anything to say about the halloween to robes zombie film. Do you have anything. You want to say octavia spencer in there which was nice lashing blocking five seconds. So i think did cover mall one of these days. Because that was such a fun film it was it was creepiest. Faulk and the film not octavia spencer. And but i thought it was because we had to google at the same time because you very nicely laying sp- said isn't she too big to take a small role like this and i think it came out the same year as the help but yes. We do hold octavia spencer in high regard to the fact that she was just more fucking role she died..

"I guess if we had known that there wasn't really going to be full aspect. Michael myers in this. Maybe i could have just understood that it was a separate sort of film for it as part of a fucking sequence and we try not to watch trailers read stuff. We tried to just enjoy it for what it is that becomes a problem also is kind of a problem. I don't know friends loves if anyone watched it outside of what it came out in nineteen eighty two but it kind of felt very caricaturist and how it portrayed irish people 'cause they even had a versa shannon motel. Can we calm down like short to be sure but still would you shamrock down me. Okay so this is the positive. This is the positive our bring into halloween. Three it had the most kookiest of tunes and jingles And the mosque slow development catastrophically like increase sales because of the mosques that they made as part of promotion of the movie But i loved county down the halloween. Like i knew the kids who are going to die but i was enjoying like i like that element. I really enjoyed it. It was just very confusing. It was very hazy. Coming out of halloween to knowing that luma's dead apparently knowing that Actually apparently for both of them. The michael myers was dead and then not really know what was happening. But that's silver shamrock. Really kept me going but again caricatures portrayal of irish people in on behalf of irish people. I take offense and if they don't take offense and that's okay. Let's move on to the other. I think we've talked about this timeline. The mars we're mouth full five and six as far as i understand. I try not to get too much into detail Especially if i know nothing about the franchise. I just try to enjoy it as it is a recurring theme. In these time lined is like jamie lee. Curtis tapping out shows on occurred angle. Shit like fucking top the now dipping in tapping out whenever she felt like it. So i'm assuming that's why the angle of jamie lloyd came along. Because he came she said the assume are only calming. I wanna come back. If you get killed off within the fos- fucking five minutes of the movie. So in halloween for lowest fucking pops out of nowhere with a fucking scott. Luke may you fucking imploded. Don't explain shit like okay mate. All forgive it with all the focus. Coherent stories fucking overrated anyway. Because the weather's going to get their corners is off going to get it off anyway..

I'm like i just know that everyone brings up the scene. Where what's her name says the ensler he goes freddie the slower to girl from destiny. Shell yes. I think so as her name. Kelly kelly rowland probably i think i think that's her. No i just really wanna watch it though. Because i'm like i know he's goofy in that shit like stupid goofy like how are you going to fight another bad guy. I know when they thought of it though they were like all. This shit's going to fuck laugh. They're like we're gonna both in the same movie too spooky guys they were like. It's like disney channel mashups. Sweet life of hannah montana. Type shit they were like. Everyone's gonna eat this shit up. But yeah i Say freddie's number one. Scary bitch gives me nightmares. Overall is like a two out of ten originals original movie. Michael maybe like a seven because he was just creepy like you would just turn around. Be like someone watching him and he thinking about the first movie. All the time because of the whole voyeurism and everything. I did a very good job. John carpenter's just the best and wes. Craven kings punks clocks. But new michael myers not scary. Just more obsessed than more gory. He just they just have changed his character like yeah he was one thing and now he's another.

"Man who they reveal. I mean there's not like a big reveal of him this was definitely the fire. Better save him kind of this was definitely a filler movie. Yeah like get to the third one. Yeah like which none of this really even mattered. I understand wanting to make a trilogy but at least warranted because the second. Yeah this this all filler. What else. Firefighter i saw today. That talked about the firefighter scene where he just absolutely destroys all the firefighters. They talked about how there's apparently petition to get that scene removed. Because people don't like he kills firefighters and it was just talk talking. About how like firefighters the one sacred job or whatever besides like doctors saying doctors because they're linked to like big pharma and everything and like no one likes cops. No-one likes anyone else but like firefighters firefighters there. We need them. That's why it shows that. He's a villain. He doesn't give talk about anybody. That doesn't have anything pulling out things like kids and shit in this movie to nothing stopping him. So it's not just like oh man he's killing all these bad people He's killing everyone. Yeah he does not give a shit. He is evil. They say numerous times throughout this film. He has evil evil knight. Yeah in the synopsis as well. So it shows that mob of haddonfield that wants to take down michael myers. Because they're tired of him terrorizing the town which doesn't make any sense because he was gone for forty years. I think not exactly terrorized the town physically or they've all lived in fear because he has like traumatize them all. Yeah and they're all old now like oh man. This happen to me. When i was a kid and now i've been so scared. So this whole mob. There's the kids that were young from the first movie grown up and they're like yeah. I'm gonna kill mike myers. What's his name. Tommy tommy tommy doyle tommy doyle and guys suck leslie was the other girl sometimes leslie king. I think it's a whole bunch of characters that were legacy thurs whom first movie survived. Michael attempts yeah. This also relies heavily on the first movie on the flashbacks. Shit which also another movie straight off one in a row with a flashback scene to just give me exposition. That i don't care for. I was venom. Started off with looking clemson. What's her name. Bonds started off with madeline. And now this one starts off with flashback. From the first movie from the cops perspective the guy comes chasing him or the guy yet. The guy who. Yeah whose he's likes friend. Yeah with now Which i also brought brought up so today at work giuliana was like oh. I watched halloween kills. It was so bad. And i was like oh my god yes. I've been waiting for someone to like talk about a movie like watch movie that i've seen night told her ya ya there was. It was the third movie that i've seen like in a row with a flashback scene. To like tell me shit to put into the movie. Like i don't need it i don't want it. It's unnecessary multiple times in this movie. Due to that day or that time event of the day of the cop chasing him multiple times and then like with all the characters from that same day all in this movie.

"This is i rebranded recently. And i feel so much more at home in the new branding so black was before i knew. It is new. It is new. Yeah so i. Before it was much much writer and very. I'm very young feeling. And i feel like my business since grown up a lot over the last year so developing out a brand. That really fix that. I've found that my audience was still pretty pretty similar. But i was wanting to raise prices a little bit so i was like okay. I need a brand. That better fits those prices So i knew again. I was still serving. I'm still serving the same people Which i went through the questions. The things that set me apart again. Are that sociology background. The writing background on the illustration background. So i knew all of these pieces. I knew i wanted to highlight those enduring. The rebrand win nailed down the mission and the values of bridging gender gap. One woman owned business at a time. My sat down. And i was like okay. This this really hones. Into what i'm about and what harrison the bottom of sites yes exactly and then wanted when i was doing this rebrand i wanted my audience to feel confident in in design. Work that they were going to be getting so if you come to me for design i when you come across my website. When you come across my branding i want you to feel confident in what i can do. I want you to feel like okay. This this is professional. I can get a electric sites. Very good morgan. Yes yes so so. Those are kind of how i went through the steps and again the first ones. I didn't have to change much. Which i was really lucky. Sometimes you have to change a lot. Sometimes you don't have to change much But as i went through some of the other ones. I realized you like my previous branding is not making people feel the way i want to feel like. I've got to change this. Yeah like i will. That will do that but not this year. Probably next year. I would bring more gold speak but not this year probably next year makes to. Let's say off. You will bring you into this blow. The urges for the forecast is older than any. Let's listen into this and that she's thinking okay. maybe. I want to talk to seek his. I should regret right now or gust. Because us i think you're listening to this. Probably that the rebranded but just nuts the steps Backs wine need these ideas. Being fussy selection of brandon. But i think movies because it's a new idea. It's in my head and i'm like okay. "Yeah. Anyway, it's rough. I just like if you create a franchise that was successful early on I'm just using Spider-Man like, you know off the cuff, but it's like you can do whatever you want. And if there's a dogshit one, like ooops, we fucked up this issue. Should one. Let's create another. Yeah, and I think that's where the Halloween series is like Halloween can do it at the fuk. They want it was like like Loops that one sucked but Nils pull tabs Ambiance was like in like in and go from there. So yeah, I mean with the latest one Jamie Lee Curtis last year our 2018. I'm sorry because they three years. I was 2018. Yeah, cuz that's the first movie. I reviewed movie reviews. U s s. U s. Maria's. U s movies. U s first one went live anyway, and that was they brought by Jamie Lee Curtis a birth. The original guy who played Michael Myers in the very first movie shoot and they brought back John Carpenter to produce and do the music. So, I mean it was kind of a reboot. But also they they ignored everything except the first two thousand or three or four Beyond they actually had a pretty good job with it. That's what I've heard. And I I've seen Halloween one. I've seen Halloween too. And then I think I skipped for wage and I don't know if there's a v but I watched resurrection and maybe h2ogo H2O and that was sucked. Yeah is H2O which one that was brought back Jaime Lee Grieco Resurrection was the virtual reality tour with or the real world type tour with busted bus so much admires like started getting real sick. Just rough. But yeah, I enjoyed the latest one and they're doing a sequel at some point. Whenever the Cove. So they came out with a Halloween by Rob Zombie. And that is the first one I saw and as per usual first one I saw is the one I love. It's fucking dope. It's it's like Michael Myers begins cuz it shows you him as a young kid for much longer than it does in the initial movie and gives you more insight into why he's fucking crazy and then they did the sequel of that which was practically to give Rob Zombie's wife a paycheck and that just wasn't awesome one wasn't a great. The first one was like this could happen in the real world. Just like some crazy dude gets out of the slammer grabs a knife. The second one is much more. Like how did he survive all that now? He's back up now. He's having weird hallucinations off. We've all been there. Yeah. Yeah, it was fun. I mean like I say it's campy and and you know, and I still we we still picked it up. He'll pick it up and a lot of money those kind of things tend to grow like you say over time. Yeah, you know, it's like I'm always reminded of the Chinatown the villain in Chinatown news, like, you know, politicians ugly buildings and Whores respect both it lasts long enough. Yeah movies are kind of that way to oh, yeah, you know, like if there's a movie that people kind of shit on it first. It's like give it time if it actually has some Merit. Yeah people like get behind a hundred percent off legs. Yeah, and sometimes movies like this. I mean, it's like the first Anthology movie now some American Horror Stories like that's a to do like a horror Anthology. Yeah. So so, yeah. Midst of the one that we did right before this. I don't know if this week ago what the same day fuck that.

"He was like Hey, Mom says 999 Maybe Contra in 30 minutes and yet to say all of those are fuck you did no-one be Contraband 30 minutes of The Game Genie. I did and yet all of his time. She's all his tamogotchi dead. Well, you know, they were full grown my Pokemon TV gone full grown, grown on Pokemon Red unbeaten takeout. Yeah. Well, of course, that's great. Just take your thoughts after re-watching it so second time. No third second. So I watch this with my lady friend. She said we need to watch this film and you know, Sean who is taking a minor height Hiatus. I think he might be ill but he's okay, but when well, all right, he's not invited back but there's a few reasons that we cannot get into. Yeah exactly. I mean, I'm not saying Harvey Weinstein, but it's it's Harvey wage. Ask anyway, so Sean when we were talking he was like, you know, he mentioned this film and I watched it and I was like what the fuck is this film? Because I I'll be honest. I was one hundred percent thought it was Halloween franchise and my girlfriend and her dad had already seen it before and we got about halfway through and I was like, what the fuck we watching. She's like, oh shit. You don't know if this is just like know I I you know, what this is she had seen it before. Yeah, so she knew she's she's Halloween movie freak like she loves all scary Halloween. Yeah, and she's old school. So she already seen it and she just kept saying keep watching keep watching. She see it because of Sean or did she say? Oh, no. No, she's just Halloween from you like Halloween the Michael Myers. Yes. Yeah freak or Halloween. Scary movies were all freaking everything. Yeah, so, you know, but not a freaking the sack which is kind of weird, but however, though You can do that. I don't care, you know better that out Taylor. Is that what she said? So can you but the point is is that it is, I actually liked the film because it is so different and just like with any film it becomes a cult classic. So it is so out of the ordinary of the of the month in films people have flocked to it. They loved it and they were like, oh it's just so different and I think that's why Sean pushed me on it and you know, and I watched it because it was not a Halloween film off and and and I think that's why it's grown in more popularity. Let's be honest. It's 20 20 hipsters. Whatever you want to say people want to say. Oh you haven't seen Halloween 3 months. It was like it's I mean like like like guys we've been trying to do a home improvement like yeah once this entire time. Yeah, none of us off. Had the pitch Taylor fucking did it live right now. Oh does it really is? I don't think so Tim, but like Damn, but it's sort of the stones which like, you know, if you're like, oh you didn't like Halloween 300 you're fucking weird. So I I mean this is one of those films that is only going to grow in popularity and it's just my opinion. Yeah. Yeah. There are those if I may interject before you hop in there are those films that maybe didn't get a fair shake down because of some reason and there are those that aren't publicly loved but for some reason you love them even more because they haven't gotten the accolades they deserve. Yeah. So there's like like like me with tremors. I'm like you don't fucking great. It's a phenomenal film not a lot of people have seen it cuz there's like, okay sci-fi movie month..

"That's the sound of magic. I believe in magic magic sign. All right. Okay, so we watch the third film that's the first film in the series to not be featuring Michael Myers home, which is kind of a gypped. It's it's I always say a chip for sure. It's like, you know your first choose features by that point Michael Myers and iconic horror villain. Now, they completely like throw that out the window. They're going for an anthology kind of a thing which what you know, kind of like Fargo True Detective works. Like it's a different story two different season yada yada, but what season a Season of the Witch? Yes, and if it feels like you're missing something without Michael Myers, so you expect the music the things like Halloween music you expect Jamie Lee Curtis expect Michael Myers music wasn't bad. It was stolen by John Carpenter, but this like everything except for the very beginning was just kind of grammar. Yeah. It was John Carpenter's it was like yeah help out with mainly the game. In score and then I'm just going to take a powder the rest of the time and place. It's in yeah, I think it's like hey, can you guys just give me a couple of hundred G's and I'll just tie a bow on it off and I keep getting him mixed up with Wes Craven and I keep thinking that that he is dead and I get a little bit of John Landis mixed in there too. You have a Landis hadn't done nearly as many see I get off because of the and yeah John John Lithgow mix-up with Charles Grodin all the time and Chad Kroeger thought I could save it was like and John Landis who was making horror movies about that time doesn't work anymore because of something that happened on 12 in the night. Yeah. Yeah off that killed one of his actors to kill memory of his actors on set three. Yes kill the one we need to do a whole pocket on cuz yeah, yeah direct the whole thing that he just log. Direct segments. He directed once the Kick the Can Save and I think it was they they based Twilight Zone The Movie were getting off on a tangent, but it's a horror movie about the same time, but it's like they based which segment wage they based each segment on a famous Twilight Zone had a few sorry. He's not sorry but like The Terror at 40,000 feet or whatever with John Lithgow instead of Shatner who was in the original Twilight Zone sketch in this particular version kicked the can was based on the idea of a racist bigoted dude who gets transported into like Nazi Germany. Yeah in this situation. It was like he gets transported back to Vietnam and he gets he's in the village of Vietcong and so he sees the error of his ways or whatever and so Vic Morrow was.

Yeah, and I'm losing my sense of taste and smell. It's quite a change. Hm. Anyway, we are going to watch Halloween 3 season of The Blair Witch. I don't think I don't think trap. Have you seen it off? No, I haven't answered. So yeah, I think I'm the one that seen it so kind of a flip-flop from our last situation with the midsummer, but like yeah, I think I just hope I don't scream. My high pitched my son said oh, you're a screamer. That's for sure. Yeah, that's true. Well, this is the one film that did not have Michael Myers in it. And I believe they've got so much shit for it. Like they was like, they just berated this film but it stands alone. Really really. Well it John Carpenter did not do I don't think so indirect he came back for the 4th. Okay. Yeah, so it's like they looked it up. Yeah, there were like what because I I think the original idea this is coming from one of our good friends who you've heard and seen Sean he had that like they were trying to like create a different movie series of Halloween for every single like year like we should have challenged. Yeah, they both tried to make everything different and then the fans just were not into that. They're like, no we want Michael Myers, so they were like whoopsie doodle. I know weren't they trying to do I mean they have the name and they were just trying to get Mom. I movie every year. Yeah, everyone is like you have that they had that the name recognition and they wanted their tent pole. Yeah, and they yeah, they just wanted to make money and like, you know, keep a different story line every year and I'm like no, we ain't doing that show, you know, so interesting. Yeah. I know nothing. It'll be John smell. I mean, I'm aroused o double Ralph's who joke on. I miss her Game of Thrones podcast. I miss Game of Thrones. I'm not sucking I miss free covid-19 komed I miss Game of Thrones when it was good. And I also miss home Game of Thrones even was bad. Cuz even when it was bad, we could still talk shit about it. Like I just miss waiting to see a show that had that much like love to it. That was cool. Yeah. Yeah. I just miss them. They're not common. It shows that are that good that that you have to watch them right especially at this day and age works. Like, you know, people are binge watching people like to have that show Psych, you know, sometimes you would even a little bit and like there any leaks. Is there any I mean, is there anything new that I should know about before I watch it nine? Well, that's how storytelling in Hollywood is a dressing is that nobody it's too risky to do your your big Hollywood film as a one-off like it's almost not even worth it. Like rifle have got used to the binging and I've gotten used to character arcs. So they want to see more long-form entertainment. It's done. Well has good special effects, but that, you know tells one or several other stories and shows a full carrier character Arc that you know rap up in 90 minutes..

Reports suggest that Michael photos. Laurie. Strode. Granddaughter. To her house, the fortress in the middle of the woods, it's supposed to be a safe place it's supposed to be. A fortress after all however Michael being the roof Lewis Predator. That he is. Doesn't let any of that get in his way of his final prize Laurie Strode. He breaks into the house where he terrifies and terrorizes Laurie her daughter and her granddaughter with two police dead on the outside and Laurie son-in-law murdered in cold blood Laurie entered daughter and her granddaughter bus fend for themselves. Luckily, Laurie. At taught her daughter. Well, she prepared her for this day even if it were never to come. The events inside the house are a little confusing. We have reports from Lori. We have reports from her daughter Karen and her granddaughter Alison while they all seemed to match pretty well, there's different timelines perspectives. But what we do know for sure is that Lori Somehow managed to trap Michael in the basement of her house. She had it prepared as a cage and eventually sealed off the door next. Through series of propane tanks and piping throughout the house, the structure went up in ablaze. Everybody within. Had to get out. Everybody except for Michael, Myers who was left In the cage designed to send him to hello the last. Lori and her family sees of, Michael. is his melting. Body. Surrounded by flame. However however upon a second look. They don't see his body. Assuming that he fell over. The Kate or just burned up. The family, leave the house. Only for them to hear police and fire sirens off in the distance is a good thing or is that a bad thing? It's hard to say it's all we have four Michaels, reports of Moorer and. Death and destruction, but his his story actually done. That's for us to wait and see maybe Michael Myers will appear again in a year or two maybe it'll be another forty years before he makes his appearance and tries to kill Lori, and her family. However at that point, I believe time. Would do the job for him now while Michael Only had two real killing sprees. He did have a lot of bodies built up beneath his feet. A school over some of the victims because it is important to remember the victims in cases like this we all know that his first victim was Judith Myers who was stabbed nine times. Following, that on his return to Haddonfield in Nineteen, seventy eight Michael also killed Christopher Hastings teams and he bracket Robert Sims. Linda Vander clock and a police officer however when he returned forty years later well, Michael's thirsty for blood. He'd killed off the bus driver driving him to his maximum security prison. E killed a man called Haskell and another one called Cunanan, the father and son who came across the bus crash scene. He killed a mechanic killed a gas station clerk as well the to podcasters Aaron and Dana Killed Gina Penn Chela Andrea Wagner, Vicky Dave Oscar who were all allison also known as Laurie's granddaughters friends Dr Ram near certain who was his? New Physician after the demise of Dr Loomis Asir Richards. Officer Francis. And Ray Nelson. Unfortunately none of these people survived their meeting with Michael Myers. In fact, very few ever. Survive their meeting with the sheep as he became known. Other. Monikers were the bogeyman and all those names do justice for just what he is. He's a monster a shape in the shadows, a figure stalking the night hunting, his prey. What will become of Michael Myers that is the biggest question. With twenty four victims to his name. It's hard to imagine what would happen. Should Michael escaped the blazes of lorries basement? But given his. Houdini, act in the past, it wouldn't be unheard of if he did spring up one more time.
