"What was it that made you instead of looking forward stop look backwards and go fuck out on one was i was. I was severely burning out like really severely and a lot of things that i was finding joy. And i wasn't and along with that like glenn i i fell into a very deep rushing that was part of why took those few months off of work to really depression. And you had to start seeing a psychiatrist. Get on medication. And i also got diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder which i came to realize like had pervaded areas of my life if it didn't know because like so many people you think of obsessive compulsive disorder as the guy who has to flick a lights which i'm three times these every door and it can come in so many different forms and so when i started to work through that and come to that realization of how you know i can get very obsessive about things and i think it's always a serves me. Well you know. In some ways my obsessive excessiveness is what lead my career to where it was. Because when i get interested in something i go like one hundred and ten percent in it but it's also what has made certain relationships difficult for me. It's what i think has made at times me difficult person to work with from like you know my staff's point of view. It just really forced me to step back when i started to become in my own awareness and then you know part of getting it in your going awareness as you can start then getting it under control and seeing it from that third person you know when you don't even know when you don't even realize it you know what i mean. It's hard to kind of get like an outsider perspective to step back and watch your ego sort of like you're saying the breathing exercises but the depression was heavy and net. Time away from work was really important. There was a point where i was ready to throw in the towel i was actually..

"I think. I've always somewhat bane that type of person but it helps that. I've got a call aig. Who's very interested in it to sort of rekindle. You're interested in it as well. Because i think that it helps you feel it as a little bit more. I think it helps quite and the noise in your head when you do feel that you can meditate on things and you can reflect a little bit easier which is something that getting to the point in my story is something that i pay all the atf. Students when they come back and do they. Practical block too. Because there's a lot of pressure on them on the final. I and it's a day where i say. An incredible amount of emotion surface where students The nervous to the point where they want it back out. They almost want to throw out. Some people have gone locked themselves in the car over the years where had to go and sit there and talk to him. It's basically like hostage negotiation to get him to come back out and and go through it. And as i explained to them the worst thing that's going to happen to them on the day is delay nothing more. There's no shine tag. That's going to be worn around the neck. We're not gonna ring a bell and throw tomatoes at ridicule. Them will pick on them if anything. We're all day for him. It's the same group of people that bain with along the journey. The clapping them on wanting to support them nonetheless. It's still a very personal journey. And it's still something that people still suffer the slings and arrows of while they're in that journey. But what i do say and what really fills me with passion and just makes my heart's lighter when i can say the relief on their faces they did it and i got through it and not only did they do it and got through it but they did well and it's a little journey that all of them go through we try and help and prepare them to get the but it's a wonderful thing to say and it really is enlightening and really. It's one of the things that draws my passion to want to teach people and still be involved in that education process to watch new people learning the start of a new journey. Where they it's going to be very exciting and it's going to open so many options and possibilities to them. It's just a wonderful thing. Sometimes yeah for sure. Yeah i mean. Meditation is powerful and then just having sense of presence or a sense of self awareness. Just elvis self is such an important thing especially in the dog training industry. I used to be much better about meditating than i am. Now although i've been sort of getting into some different breathing exercises but my mom growing up was always a member of the zen center in rochester. "The start is when. I was very much a hands on dog trainer and i was doing all the time. And that's all. I literally did was trying dogs pretty much six seven days a week. I had my own business. I was doing boarding training private lessons group classes and it was just a round. The clock does a dog training dogs training dogs training dogs and it was just an abundance of trying dogs. Suddenly i made the transition into business arena slash general manager of a group of companies. And then i started to get taken away from that sort of thing. And it's not that i of got taken away from it. It was just the natural progression of way. My life was going with what i had to do. Nonetheless it's like ripping a band aid off an. You'd know that it's gonna come but you kind of wincing at the fact that all this is happening to you and then you thinking am i still going to be involved because i was very much in the spotlight. At that time. I was very much relevant with training dogs. And now i'm sort of in the back end directing new people. I dunno. i found it hard for a period of time. Now i'm much more as with it because my life is quite tumultuous with the group of companies. I'm running at the moment. But i still have time to get in and have a little bit of a hands on experience of i want. Try students if i want. But mostly these days it's more about guiding and setting up and directing the papal. No my transition from like being hands on to being more of the background was really really slow and gradual so it wasn't So much that was more difficult for me. As i'm actually not a good manager like that's not my strong point. Managing people is not a. It's not something. I really want to do that. I'm just not very good at it so that was like the challenging. Per which is doing that and then eventually i realized you know what i need to actually hire somebody to really be doing the management and so now i have a woman named amy. Who's just amazing. And she basically runs the training center. I'm there to provide guidance and direction and support..

Putsch comes to shove: Venezuela

"And welcome to the intelligence on economist radio. I'm your host. Jason Palmer every weekday. We provide a fresh perspective on the events shaping your world. After yesterday's dramatic attempt to oust Venezuela's president. We take a look at coups around the world, what makes them happy. What makes them succeed, and what are the risks for coup-plotters fail? And a surprise raid on North Korea's embassy in Madrid reveals just how difficult and thankless it is to be a dissident against the North Korean regime. But I. In Venezuela yesterday, the opposition leader one Guido made his move to try to overthrow the embattled President Nicolas muddle, he claimed his operation. Liberty would be the final push to depose a man who has retained power only through a sham election. Mr. Guido is supported by millions of Venezuelans or suffering from regime inflicted hunger and hardship. But it's the support of the military. He needs in order to take power. And despite promising early signs not enough of them decided to abandon Mr. Muto. Lobue leniency called Pai tau. In a defiant television address, the president called the attempt of failure lambasting those who handed their souls over to the coup mongering, far, right? I was waking up shortly after six AM by the sound of saucepans being bashed, which is a traditional form of protest in Venezuela. Stephen Gibbs rights for the economist he was among the crowds in the capital Caracas yesterday as events unfolded. And it soon transpired what was going on. And that was the one I do was calling for a military uprising. We went over the us. Lootah bell imprinting gynecology perfume in no fuel inter inter one hundred zero as soon became apparent that. This was by no means a normal day all shops with barricaded opposite. As they usually are when there is a protest, but this was not a typical protest because a Hong wide other was out with soldiers. And they were all standing on this a motorway that overlooks the military basement airbase right in the center of Caracas and those soldiers will wearing blue on bans as a symbol of their defection and the crowds grew and grew. An inside that base. The sort of big question was whether the people inside the soldiers, the conscripts inside would he'd what those outside were saying, which is come and join us rebel against the Madora government. Pretty quick it became apparent that. They weren't going to do that it will far in ice towards the crowns toward us that were just on the other side of the barricade. And then things got even uglier the rebel soldiers. Apparently sort of rattled by something began to fire live rounds into the air. That go to whole lot of people running and it was a precarious situation. And then there was a sort of a standoff that lasted for several hours. One of the more striking things that was was. There was Leopold Lopez. He is Venezuela's most famous political prisoner. He's been in jail or under house arrest since twenty fourteen. So to see him walking the streets. Not balking particularly far was quite extraordinary in in. He managed to release himself by a defection of those people that were guarding him. So it was clear that this wasn't as I say a normal protest. Something unusual was going on that went on for several hours until after the tear gas through gone on bearable. Most of the protesters recapped to the square in out mirror here in eastern Caracas. And there was quite oh and Leopoldo Lopez and several members of the national guard who had defected, and they were being sort of hugged by supporters. They were some of them with. With the family, and this was the image. Of course, the opposition was hoping would be repeated massively across the country. This is what they're trying to do. They're trying to do a sort of fell revolution where the feared security forces. Give up put down their arms and say, you know, we're not going to support Madore or anymore where with this new president and everything's going to change. It didn't happen. It sounds like there was good public supports on the streets anyway for Mr. Guido or the people rallying behind him more widely. The short answer is. Yes, I mean, given that he was a relatively unknown figure last year. And now he is unquestionably the most famous opposition leader in Suada. It is probably were saying that a lot of the support for two is a sort of protest vote against Maduro Midori is not popular. But he given that he is saying that he's leading a popular revolu. Nation that in his last a contested election. The one that you know, Guido and the opposition and much of the international community says was rigged last year in a he's standing for reelection. Or he stood for reelection. In the midst of the deepest recession in the world inflation heading for ten million percent, everyone feeling poor more miserable public services here. Collapsing. So, you know, the idea that he could really come on Syria support seems implausible and what about the military whose allegiance has always been the Lynch pin here. What what support does Mr. Guido have from them? I mean, it might be fair to say not as much support as he hopes since he came on the scene in early January. He has repeatedly said look, I can only do this. If the military come with me, I think there's no question in the lower ranks of the army and the forces people know happy head because they're suffering. Exactly the same way the most. Venezuelan's suffering. The problem is that the high ranking generals and the of Venezuela that notoriously has a top heavy army with with thousands of generals a lot of them on a benefiting from the chaos here from the corruption which Unity's that may afford them a new also the whole forces. This is one of the things that were job is Maderas assisted. Did he politicized that institution? Effectively everyone sort of fouls their allegiance to the socialist, revolution and not just Venezuela. So it is a relatively world controlled institution. As as one guy to is is finding out and what will happen to Mr White. Oh, if this fails altogether. If this fails, which is perfectly probable identing it's necessarily the end of quavo. You know, he will probably continue an hope that the drip-by-drip discontent in the military against Maduro. We'll alternate. Really bear fruit. And I think the other person to watch is there Puerto Lopez. He's now out of house arrest. He's going to be living. It seems in the Spanish embassy. That means he's conceive people. He can meet people he can negotiate and that will be an instinct additional little twist to this long-running saga.

"So either depending on what the draft gives you. And so I've gotten a lot of shares of Gary Sanchez in real Muto and romo's and grand doll. And then I've got a lot of just bottom of the barrel chance Cisco I took as my second catcher in in the online championship that I did this weekend. It took a Cisco on him the pun wrong. No, please. Don't please start that again just time. More Adele upon. You do. Okay. I'll say I'll say, yeah. Yeah. I'm kinda with you. I like in terms of which way, I'm going. I'm not averse to getting a real Muto or Sanchez depending on on. What that price is looking like, I really liked that second here for me BrahMos grown doll and third tiers third or fourth years Jansen, but I I like Ronald Grondahl quite a bit. I'm not averse to jumping back on the post train either. I feel like he's kind of being a little bit. In a few. I think it will. I think there was a lot of thought mean colluded that he wouldn't be ready to start the season. And I think he just had his first appearance or maybe like, it's maybe I succeeded in spite of myself because I didn't know that offseason hip surgery. So I did know that. But I thought he was going to I thought it was slated to be fine. I was still just drafting him regularly for Posey. So I guess originally. The first couple of weeks of the season. And it's awesome to see that. I guess he was talking to Bumgarner and Bumgarner even expresses crazy that. That he was coming. So soon. Tougher the pitchers. So he don't need a hip dog come play right now. And don't feel of ATV came back five days. I'm at a lot of Noah played next day gonna play next day, Madison. North Carolina exit down, Pat. He's staking there. Jason what are you doing catcher right now? What is your goal? We play a lot of to catch leagues by Alpa point that out that Ellen. I can't I don't know if you do. But I know the three of us a lot of the leagues that were in when it's industry or not just happens to be a lot of to catcher stuff. So that's that's the hell that we live. Jason what do you usually do with catcher right now? So it impacted me when the news came out because I had only in the. Have three drafts going on at this about slow drafts. This point at least two and so I took Danny Janssen of earlier than I planned on doing it. Because I figured he was going to go off the board rather quickly. What would my pick up? So I took him and then a great fantasy based on the table. I have the absolute worst catching duo like if you were listening to a long time, you see this like this no way in hell collect draft of these do I have hor hailed farro, Mike Zeno. I'm proud of you. But in the other one the fan trek sleek, that's where I have Janssen. But I also just took allies ES who I've talked about your twenty-second Narvaez about three picks before me. So I was like, okay. I can't let the second catch because I really don't wanna get stuck with the camp Gallagher's integration Greiner of the world. I don't such dumpster fire this year, and I still want somebody who is gonna decent track record of some offense about put which if you listened to the catcher, we talked about the as that's why been targeting I think he is my second catcher in all. But one of my leagues at this point. Yeah, you got me sold on on the as as an interesting second backup guy there Francisco's surly obviously going to be the primary guy. But I think it's really going to be close to fifty five forty five sorta deal there, especially with surveys health and traded the other thing we'd Pittsburgh's not going to contend. Why do they hold on? Bite your tongue. During the the online game just goes in Iran projections through ATC, and all but like four catchers give negative value this year..

"Muto. Wow. From the Miami, Marlin lovely, and they're going to give up a huge package, which will include that six. Oh, Sanchez are farro and other prospects. So it looks like the Marlins waiting pave worked out, and they may get a huge return JT. Division two. They don't care and one of the best package care. They're not competing with the Mets all the time to think about this real mood has got two years of control the Marlins aren't competing in the next. And who knows what team real moves on. You're gonna wind up with him in probably Bryce well. That's why the comments about the division are hilarious Phillies. Are clearly not done the Phillies could end up. This is conceivable JT real Muto Harper Machado Craig kimbrel. Dallas kaikal they get all those guys. The owner said he was going to spend stupid money. So before you declare yourself, the favorite of anything, you should wait until the off seasons over because the Phillies it clearly not done owner says spending money stupid. Money. Right. Stupid. Exactly. Lou in Brooklyn, Lou Lou good acting out the first question Lou. I gotta ask you is Brian flurries. Coaches that left that would work. No. Can I have the same thing with? No, I'm I'm forty four. I'm a little longer than you. But anyway, I look at it. All the pain. I come inclusion until I see what my is. They actually do because they haven't done anything right in two decades. So anything that when they do it, right? Here's what I don't understand. And I'm not knocking. He could turn out to be the best coach. Most people that leave Bella track. Get exposure. I mean, what the guy was. I mean Patricia was defensive coordinator up until this year. And floor is wasn't really even a defensive coordinator. And he became like this hot coaching candidate. This is it's. About this. I mean, it's the Miami Dolphins. I don't expect them ending more or less than them. Well, we almost had Matt rule. So. Based on what on the beta? Listen bales. Very creative. It's quite do. It. Listen. I know we can't use either one. Shia but Jacoby ellsbury as a waste of time. Goodbye later on. I'm not I'm not a trained fan about this. I mean, I'm a fan. I'm not. I don't bother the National League. Thank you, get your brain basil. But Cincinnati leave the only league in the world that doesn't have the D H. You're asking these guys to do something when they go to the minors. They don't do. So he changed that along the way where these guys actually sure. Lou I've been saying that for a while they should change that. I think it's a joke that when you're coming up. You're not learning at to hit that is. Baseball. Now, that's ridiculous. And honestly, I hear that argument. That's that's that's what I always love to hear. We'll every other league. Does this every the league does that you think I give a damn about what they do in Japan. Anything? I care what they do in Cuba now in high school, and in college, I think they should look at it differently. Because a lot of times the pitcher in college is the best athlete. So you should let him hit. I just don't think that it's something that's worth changing the history of baseball and the National League because of the things they're doing at the lower levels of the minor leagues of the thing. They're doing in college or high school. Is he in woodridge? Uh-huh. Is Z Z you you're. Uber. Sex, trish. Thank you. It's going to be a generational kind of trip. You know, and very transparent. Yes. Hopefully, it's an over fund one looking good time. Thank you. I thank you very much. You don't get a government shutdown. Gotta deal with disgruntled. What does that day to fifty on the home? You're good. You get for that. You may not get. No, you'll be okay. Even coming back. You know, what I got this first time. I got that. I may have to deal with it. You may the pre TSA is that what it's called the we're getting that too. Yeah. Just got that. Cool. I gotta prove. I don't care. The question that just me. Got that. You're funny about the full the rule changes to speed up the major league game. It's very simple. You get Bank think three balls. Take your base. Stop the Ozzy Ozzy Ozzy. I know you just screwing around the crime on Ozzy screwing around those only only expert sports guys have that opinion change that rule only the cream of the crop guys. Think the creme de LA creme. I got it. Yes. What? This is conceivable or this is just my conspiracy theory. Go ahead. I didn't trade Donncha. And then I would have the Atlanta unicorns because he wanted porzingus and the hawks would it traded for poisoning because they are so buddy, buddy. Would you have been happy about that? No. Because I would've lost Colin. No doubt. I would have lost. Go ahead. I love John Collins. I want to get and that's exactly what I was thinking. Like John Collins, especially the jump. He's made in year two. And I get why he's underrated because nobody cares about the hawks. Nobody's watching the hawk right. Even there. You have yourself. Yes. You got yourself a study, John Collins. So I understand fantasizing about the possibility that you would have got Luca instead of trae young. But you do have an extra drafting Ghazi. Why became a hook was Dominique comedy. Yes. He did say that. That's the reason. He's told us that before Steve that recently remember that. Yeah. Big dominika. That's how it happened. Brian in Rockville centre wanted to greats. Good morning, gentlemen. Hawaii Ryan has every hey, listen. I got a football question for you guys that while you're take up and let me just say quick, you know, talk about you talk with me. I don't know if I'm gonna do it because of course, being on a lack and everything in between, probably probably retirement item. But don't Cameron at. Cameron or I hear that's like the top ten bucket list. You got to hang out in a tent? That they get the all day. Get the thing. Good. But now. He does a great job calling the Janis. And I'm really that was really interesting. I didn't know about that. That's so my football question. I heard you talk with Michael Irvin yesterday. And Joe, I really commensurate. Thank you for bringing up Jay Novacek who's the forgotten play. Evidently, probably the best performed rebid every bit as good a player is Jason Witten every bit. If argue with that. Definitely the best Super Bowl performance by tight end. I've seen at least my question goes with the Brady and belch. I agree. I agree with you guys on. I don't I don't think he's a hall of fame close, but to gawk rock. Yes. I don't even know where Belcher big the best of now. I was body was dead before I was born with anybody sing checks best out. But that's. Let me make tastes for Joe. And I wanna hear what you guys have to say about this thing with Joe is number one. Joe is great even in losing efforts. We're talking about. Joe Montana Joe Montana. Yeah. Okay. All right right in every game. He was in. He was he not only beat. But sometimes he would call defense is that will foster period than a lot of the ones that had to play against. But my my biggest thing with Joe with the exception of Brady's Brighton to quash. No question, but the exceptional Michael Jordan Joe Montana. Maybe the best clutch athlete. I let me say Joe Montana, certainly up there. I remember one thing about Montana Montana was undefeated in Super Bowls. He won four. Yeah. Brady's one six to nine more. But you're right. That argument isn't I want? To definitively say Brady's better to Montana. It's it's kinda hard to say that I'm not either way. I'm not look I just think that the argument of Montana. Never lost Super Bowl is crazy it saying well he lost the Redskins in the playoffs. Eighty-three, and that's better. Right. Listen to giants couple times. The Zan giants beat him and eighty five the giants beat him in eighty six eighty seven Vikings. So why are we rewarding losing earlier? No Super Bowl argument is flawed. Brady's also lost earlier too. But I mean, we talk about undefeated in the Super Bowl as if it's better that why is that the case I understand what you're saying? But I but again to just definitively say that Brady's bend and Montana Montana's better than Brady. It's very hard to say really it is it really is right now. It's very difficult to argue against Tom. Brady's it especially because it's not even over yet. It's very difficult. But again, like I said, you know, you still you gotta Joe Montana was pretty damn good. Oh, yeah. Of course, only all time greats. No doubt. He's five quarterback of all time. Yeah. The only thing I've always push back on. It's like the Jordan. Lebron thing Montana Brady thing where you're warning guy for not losing a finals or Super Bowl. Going to more is probably still again. There's also more than just Brady Montana and the conversation just like there's more than just LeBron compensation. Yes. That's the thing. Yeah. For whatever reason. The NBA always comes back. Well, I think it's only because it's people tend to forget that there was basketball prior to like nineteen eighty six. I think that's the problem. But you also think though, it's the fact that people just don't want to compare a center to LeBron James or a center to Michael during like, are you gonna compare will Chamberlain? So then you gotta look at Magic Johnson being in a condo. I agree. Magic is more. Lebron and Michael is. Yeah. No doubt. And you one more. Kenny and red Bank. Kenny, how are you? Hey, how you doing Saleh's? How's it going? I was listening yesterday to the pope in the afternoon, and he made statement. France. What he said was about Zion. Williamson he said, you know, this kid's like only eighteen nineteen years old. He's not gonna get lighter recently gonna get heavier and that his size on defense event. He'll be giving up tons of points because the threes and the fours he will be able to it'd be like seven foot walk, right, right? And and I thought that that made a lot of sense. What's your? I do I because I heard what Mike was saying. And I know like one of my friends is a Nick fan was so ticked off. Like how could Mike criticize Williamson? Look, I agree with a lot of what Mike said, I think the differences. I'm not sure. You can't say this guy is better than that guy. Right sign at this point. I think a lot of the critiques Mike laid out about Zayn Williamson we've talked about about hey is he going to be able to bully guys at the next level. Is he going to be able to defend threes? Twos. Fours. What is his body? Gonna look like five years down the road. Can you develop a jump shot? I think they're all really fair questions. The one thing I can't say despite concerns about a player is that he can't improve on a lot of those things and still be the great player people expect. So I'm not as confident that he's not going to develop in something more than he is right now because he is only nineteen years old. He's so different. Who knows? I mean, these guys stop playing in the NBA. We don't know. Here's the bottom line difference, his uniqueness if you will to some people is this extreme, oh my God generational Braun. I've never seen anything like this. Right. One extreme extreme is he so different and unique. Yeah, I don't I don't think he's going to be that good because he's not going to be able to do this or that or this. There's a lot of those extremes when it comes to him. I don't know. I'm skeptical. The one thing I've said about him is. I just don't think it's this foregone conclusion. Like, all right. He's going to come top five player in the league. Right. That's that's how I feel about him. Now, you feel about them. I don't know. I don't know yet. I can't make that definitive statement that he's going to beat his great play. We we've seen a lot of guys who were very ballyhoo college plays it came into the NBA. Now, you weren't that. Good. Let's be real about it. Right. I mean, anything could happen. You don't wanna get hurt? But I go back to guys like Sam Bowie. Go back to guys like Greg Oden injuries occurred. And they never never became anything close to what you thought they were going to be. It's also so what are the expectations? Right. I mentioned Blake Griffin before a number one overall. About Blake Griffin's a five time all star is a very good career. Right. But he's not the kind of he's not that franchise guide is going to be your lead play for championship. Okay. So if we're sitting here ten years from now and zen Williamson for his career averaged twenty and ten right? Pretty good defensive player gets better his three point shot. You know, I it took Blake a long time to develop three point shot. He has Blake Griffin shoots like thirty six percent from the field a lot of credit, but it took a while for them to develop right? Develops a little bit of the three and he has a similar career art to Blake Griffin. Is that a disappointment? Well, I think it depends. It depends. What teams on what his role is right enough Williamson's playing with the Knicks. Let's get there. We say the third guy on the team behind Durant and Kyrie or something like that. Well, now, you're looking at a different situation as opposed to him being the lead player on on. Phoenix Suns has a lot to do. You know who knows? I just don't know what the bar some people are setting..

"To jump off and talking about these guys there's a clear tear at the top. It's only two guys and Gary Sanchez has reassumed the top. I think real Muto went I in my first few drafts of the fall back in back in November there. And now it Sanchez pretty easily. Actually, I I don't know why I said pretty easily. He's not even going full pick ahead. I'm a clown. But he's regularly going there. His men pick is what I meant is pretty easily established as the lowest men pick among catchers, Gary Sanchez at fifty nine point eight eight and then JT rebel do at sixty point zero eight, but Gary Sanchez has been pick of thirty three whereas real Muto has been pick of forty five. So I think people have come back on onto the gear Sanchez train. And I understand it. By the way, I understand why he's the first catcher off the board. I think he's my top catcher too. You know, obviously, he had his he had his issues last year. And despite those issues playing just eighty nine games he still popped eighteen homers with fifty one runs fifty one ribs. Now, he had a terrible batting average at one eighty six. But he was let's see three four tied for fifth in homers for Gary Sanchez. He was on four fifth in runs and ninth. Actually, I think eighth because there is a tie there. So eight highs eighth highest obviously, he was the ninth person because there were a couple of guys at seventy four. I don't know that that distinction necessarily matters to say eighth highest versus just nine th and not worry about the ties. But either way top ten so he was top five top five in the top ten in homers runs Wrigley's dreadful and batting average. But the bottom line is he only played eighty nine games. Did Gary Sanchez anyways still he was still out there doing damage as a catcher that just kind of speaks to to where his bat is. It couldn't have gone worse. So one ninety seven Bab. The injuries. I'm going to say only only in eighteen percent Homer to fly ball rate because I do think that he's going to live in a higher range. So I really think that everything kind of went south for for Sanchez. He still put up a good season. And you should still be taken a number one catcher. Now, it's up to you. If you want to dive in early and be that guy who gets that big lead out there at catcher, and then that'd be where it'd be more inclined to really wait on my second guy. But not too long or else you undercut the value of Sanchez. Right. I think sometimes people take Sanchez real Muto. And then they'd take, you know, Carlton, Fisk as their second somebody who's not even in the majors like they'd just get nothing for that second one. It's like, well, you do kind of chop a little bit off of of what value you're getting with the top guys. So be careful not to do that. But those are the top two JT Muto. I think could could leapfrog Sanchez as the number one come full on draft season in March if you straight it because I mean that's holding him back. You know, he did have a great year last year breakouts. Career the term breakout is something. I I don't know if it's just semantics that I I'm really want to iron out or what? But it's weird when we will say breakout and they've already had a great season before like wasn't 2016 is breakout ear when he hit three zero three three forty three or four twenty eight eleven homers, twelve stolen bases. Now. This year. He popped Twenty-one homers to seventy seven three forty four eighty four..

"Ruis is expected to be part of the return for real Muto. We're Emoto hit two seventy seven twenty one homers last year. He is an elite defender elite defensive catcher he is under team control for two more years at a really good number. And he also led all catchers in wins above replacement last year, which is perfect because he has mining doll who was a decent player, and he's going to Milwaukee. Couldn't hit last year, particularly in the postseason and was was off defensively for the first time. He had a lot of pass balls. So this is yes. Money passed ball. We saw in the postseason adding Pollock plus real Muto at forty six homers to your lineup. So that that replaces some of the poppy sent out when you treated Puig. And when you lost. Yes. Mine and Goodall, right? It's about Bedside bedside. essex. Yeah. That's about a wash. I think what do you think? Greg. I would love JT real Muto. And I'll move whoever needs to be old to make it keep it Ruiz one hundred percent. We don't know what keyboard. We is. Ruis is he was can't say you'll move whoever. You wouldn't you wouldn't give him Bellinger. They I know in the minors. I would move anybody in the miners the miners. Yeah. Well, it appears you're like me now. Well, it's always move anybody in the minors. Right. But you don't you already have enough catching prospects in the minors already of four guys DO Cartwright. Connor Wong Will Smith and keep it repeat. Now, you're just showing off. All right. Yes. Pretty so. If you go around the diamond you've got removed to- catching you've got a platoon of max, Muncie and David freeze at first base. Chris Taylor at second. Cory Seager short JT at third base in right field. Alex, Verdoux go and centerfield AJ Pollock and left field. Cody bellinger. Yeah. I would probably switch and have Bellinger in right field personally. It doesn't do those always been right fielder. Better doesn't. Yeah. If you can play the outfield, you can play centerfield nice left right balance throughout because you've added AJ policy of added removed. Ceo, probably not quite as many of the crazy platoon situations that we saw last year you'll still have it with key. K and Taylor at second in that Jill so sometimes KiKi and Taylor out in Redfield from Bellenger for do go. Okay. So if this happens if they trade for Yamamoto, that's probably it. Right. Definitely that God yours for next year. Tomorrow is fans tomorrow's Dodger's fan fest. So I mean, we're we're here. I think. Catchers and pitchers and catchers report in two weeks. So it's it's on us. I think they'll win the division. Do they go back to the World Series? But that roster. They've got the pitching they've got the pitching. I think if you get real Muto you actually won the off season by getting Pollock and rail Muto to add to the team that was already went two years in a row plus bringing back Cory Seager who is one of the best players in baseball two time all star when he was when he wasn't injured. I think that's the best off season of any else. I wanna I wanted to fend an AJ Pollock has had injury stuff. But did we agree yesterday? That broken bone is bad luck. Yeah. Okay. Pretty much different areas to twenty fourteen broke his right hand 2016 broke his right, elbow 2017. He did miss time with a strained groin last year. Miss time with a broken thumb. So we're talking about broken bones, which is more about bad luck than it is about chronic injury issues. So. So I'm not gonna pencil amend for one hundred twenty one games or whatever it's been last couple of years. I think he'll we'll see more games of him, barring bad luck Faren, bad luck. I Jonathan it's fischel. It's here. What's next Friday? Mason and Ireland half of us live from dudes brewing company in Torrance, noon to three that's all we've got so far. But you'll be a dude's brewing company in Torrance from noon to three okay? Now, here's the story with this place. They don't have. It's not a food place. It's a it's a beer place. You don't have a kitchen. They've got a brewery and all that stuff. So I want to add somehow catering to this. Now, we have a budget of absolutely zero. Okay..

Thousands Of Central American Migrants Stuck In Tijuana, Waiting To Seek Asylum

"President Trump says there's a humanitarian and national security crisis on the US Mexico border. This idea of a border emergency can be traced back to the reports that began a few months ago of a caravan of Central American migrants, traveling up through Mexico to the US many of those migrants are are now stuck in Tijuana, Mexico, just south of the border from San Diego. And that's where NPR's John Burnett joins us from now. Hi, John airy, we've heard about thousands of migrants stuck in Tijuana. What are you seeing? There will you know, this is ground zero of what the president considers the migrant crisis. I mean, you've got central Americans who are waiting in all the major Mexican border cities batik wanna is where you really see them. We started out with somewhere between five thousand six thousand migrants who'd come up into caravan. The numbers are definitely down to perhaps two thousand three thousand. Migrants. Now that are still here some gone back to Honduras some have been deported by Mexican authorities. Some have crossed into the US to request asylum, and then others, you know, crossed the border illegally. They climbed the fence, and they were arrested and instill others went to other Mexican border cities where there's less of a weight to cross. So, you know, the the the numbers are trickling down. So the numbers are down. But still a lot of people for t- quantity to deal with. How is the city copen? You know, it's just it's chaotic what we've seen today. There's more than a dozen shelters here, the big one L Bader atoll, you know, it's it's the best organized by the federal government. And then you have all these others. We went to one that was run by the and Bassedas of Christ evangelical church where you had people a leading intense inside the church sanctuary. But outside was this squalid drainage ditch with hogs all rooting around and children around they're playing and yet people in Tijuana are trying to help the migrants. And so you have these these these shelters that have just sprung up in houses, and with different do or groups, and with churches, and really you just get this sense that they they still don't know what to do with this crush of people who are here. What about Americans you're right over the border from San Diego. Do you see many US people? They're trying to help out. You do there's lots of volunteers. They're over here. They're offering legal advice. They're bringing food. They're bringing medicine summer bringing you know, knitting needles and yarn for them, you know, give them something to do while they're waiting. I mean this morning they called number one thousand six hundred twenty seven that's how many migrant families have gotten into the US to ask for asylum in there. Still many many more waiting weeks. What are you hearing from the migrants themselves? You've spoken to. Well, these are these are single men these are families their grandmothers, and you know, they've been here waiting for so long some for six to eight weeks, and they seem to be, you know, just very frustrated. Some are still waiting in line for their numbers to be called and others are deciding to take jobs here in Tijuana. There's a a labor shortage, and so some are working as a as Masons others are going to work in these fabrication plants Mckee LA's, and then still others have decided to bring caught and Muto to jump the wall. And so they go to this area where they can crawl over one of the lower fences where they're promptly arrested by the US border patrol. But they know that that's a rash decision that they're going to be detained if they do that. And so many want to wait, but they're really getting frustrated here. Yeah. The times are so long just in our last thirty seconds. President Trump last month announced a policy called remain in Mexico where asylum seekers. Would have to wait in Mexico for an immigration hearing in the US any sign of that taking shape. You know that policy has been suspended. Ari? I spoke to a senior government official familiar with border security plans, and because of the complexities of the diplomacy between Mexico in the US. They are not returning immigrants seeking asylum to Mexico to await their immigration cases. The ones who are going to the border largely are being allowed to ask for asylum and then being either detained or or released. All right. A notice to appear and immigration court NPR's, John Burnett Antigua. Thanks much. You bet. All right.
