"Detective detective buyers instead of choice unfortunate my favorite detective peak. It's you spin off the coming soon. Yes so that's what's going on with them. They're going to go and they're gonNA find somebody in Illinois. Roy Who's very annoyed. WHO's very annoyed is very who's maybe a little bit? Ill as well. We're GONNA talk about the stuff happening with parties separately but there is this really cool cool seen it doesn't really impact the hopper storyline too much where eleven sees that hopper and Joyce are going to Illinois and like we see David Harbor in like that like the black all black upside down adjacent type of thing that was really really neat. Yeah really fun if I thought you were excited aided. You're like Oh this is this is incredible and then like it didn't really turn it yeah. It looked really quiet thought for a second that like maybe the mind flair has dropped hopper into some sort of weird like dreamscapes. I made the comparison to Matt Parkinson beforehand. Maybe the resources some sort of mullet mental manipulation population going on there though it is interesting because like we said <hes> singer things like sort of I compare it to get another musical theater referenced the Song One day more from Les Miserables Wherever Gimme starting everyone singing their little snatches melodies and then they all come together at the very end in one and big cacophony of music and I feel like now we're starting to sort of intertwine lines into one another here but it is so interesting that you know Mike is sort of on edge for the vast majority of this episode and one of the reasons is he feels like the adults have deserted them in both of the previous season's the adults do come in in some perspective to assist them and now they really do feel like they're alone for the first time so while it I've no idea where the storylines going necessarily it looks like there is some cross contamination with the super trouper storyline considering. That's it's also russia-based it does seem like this sort of off on their own which is going to bring new circumstances in for these kids that are not so much kids anymore. Yeah the dolts are acting like kids to some degree as they raid seven eleven of all of its wares chugging new coq there in the desert for four days they were walking through the forest for like two hours got a slam tab man. They're choking down new cokes. Dr PEPs Alexi just like pounding the slushy machine gene hoppers going to snap into a slim Jim at one point while he's carjacking Todd Todd father. I love what did you think about timing. I mean it's another. It's it's potentially to some degree another little bit of a terminator thing where Terminator Two's Andrew Berkeley Plays Todd John Connors Stepfather or foster father rather. There's the great the great line. She's not my mom Tad. John Connor says to says the tight as he drives away on a bike and he didn't get stabbed in the face through a milk carton at the very least this guy so I don't know I don't know what Arnie Arnie could've done. Something carjackings probably fairly innocuous comparatively. There's a fun scene again. It's just like I don't know there's this is strange. Things season one was funny and endearing and I feel like it wasn't nearly as gaggy. You know what I mean like a gag. There's been a lot of gags this season Erica who's amazing but she had like the whole like the pro capitalism speech which was a gag. Just the whole ice cream scene was a gag. The Todd Jacking is a gag man and it's not quite making me gag but it's just it's just not my favorite thing. It's just so weird stranger things. It's just become very totally strange to me. It's it's skirting the line I would say while I do love comedy especially levity and things that scare me. I do agree that the first season might have had some stuff grounded in characters. Yes and I feel like the characters in the first season. We're pretty grounded as well. I think maybe the more characters we've gained more notoriety. They gained the more that we have taken the charcoal of these characters and blurred them a little bit with our palms and as a result you can make more fun stuff happened like you know Steve Quibbling that he's not a nerd to Erica right now all hopper sort of varying between bad ass cop and complete. You know do fee dad from an eight from a T._G._I._F.. Sitcom like doc it's on to watch what they do with some of these characters but that being said like they do have some really fun moments as well. I do feel like the hopper thing while a bit cartoony was still rounded grounded in that bad cop thing with him sitting yeah. I'm a police Liam chief of police. Even though this is not my jurisdiction I'm GonNa take your vehicle here. Take the slim Jim by right not even giving any sort of reasoning behind it or location which to find him so I think that there are still things in there that make hopper a fun character though I could see that this especially with I think Joyce being on board. Maybe makes it a bit more cartoony because she always seems like I don't know someone that wouldn't necessarily be in on like pulling the phone out from Klein Secretary or hopping in pretending to be detected buyers looking carting this child murderer off to prison. May maybe her involvement forger Yeah Desire Dri. I mean hopper full bloom with his great. I feel like not I feel full. Bloom would have been worse. No let's not test it again. No Stranger Thaw let's not let's not go there. Please started forget about that so they drive off at the top father. You called it pretty quickly that they were going to go and visit your boy Murray. Yes my boy specifically you wrote. Oh you of Murray Murray Murray. I think you've gotta change in hairstyle. It seems a little bit more feathered out so I'm happy about that. He's gone from the bathrobe. Now we're seeing summer. Murray fetching pair of shorts turns out the Marines and never nude. He's got so he's got the cut dozens dozens. It's great so I will see exactly what the involvement is. I mean he'll speak Russian so I'm assuming that are they just going to use him too cheesy Alexi whisperer right and like you know he's he seems like he has very frosty relations with the Russians this being this series taking place during the height of Cold War tensions so I imagine I mean obviously they've already introduced Alexi as a character who is who's going to be a source of comic relief. We don't know what he's saying helps with that that he's running off wildly that he's just like crushing soda that he's in the back of the car looking like a total psycho when we know he's like not that level of psycho like or at least we assume I like getting that comedic energy mixed in with Brett Gelman is going to be is going to be fun. Here's my prediction. I think Alexi is the season three dart the season three dart where he gets introduced in one of these the middle episodes <hes> becomes is technically part of the enemy but becomes so tied into the main characters that he'll save them in you know abuser moment of weakness. Yeah I could see that I could see that for sure that like he somehow becomes friends with these people. Alan does something to help them. When it's against the greater cause I mean we've we've seen him before and we saw him in the very first sequence of the season right where he's the one who's given one year to do what his predecessor could not in Russia which seemingly has done so good for you Alexi but he didn't seem like he was entirely excited about that prospect and probably quite terrified at the fact that someone had just been choked out and murdered in front of him so him making some sort of turn towards the side of of of Hopper and Joyce and Murray that makes sense to me? I'm excited to see where that goes. He seems like a fun character. Yeah I think it's it's some fun comedy to make whether or not you want to say it's you know reaching the pinnacle of camp. Lamp or not even though destined ironically came back from camp or camp right. Let's go quickly to the scuba. Troopers go back to the elevator Steve's Steve The number one at the group's going to take a number one off the side of the elevator. I thought honestly for a second that's Steve's P was going to reveal something. Yeah and I guess it was just to your point very that would be a very trolls too. I must I must there's no old man and telling Steve that while everyone was frozen thirty second elevated Green Green would be linked because the trolls that love that maybe this is the secret to reference Double Decker Baloney Sandwich. You haven't unseen trolls too by the way the documentary on it the same if not better value for your for your time so so Dustin is talking about how Steve at Robin have been talking all night long. We didn't get to see any of that. Apparently they've been in the elevator waited for hours and hours and hours at this point Erica still somehow just like iron stomach which is so impressive admirable doesn't been missing from his home for like two days at this point because it seems like he's staked out the mall overnight and then they were in the elevator overnight overnight as well yeah. I don't know why no one is coming looking for Dustin. At this point. Everyone should be very worried that he's just totally missing in action and you literally in a Russian bunker right now and the other. I mean his girlfriend especially. He's probably most worried about her. If she exists if she exists the interesting thing as well as the last time he left the party is he was like pretty pissed that everyone abandoned him on the hill and which sort of caused him to seek out Steve specifically and that's the last time that Dustin saw the rest of the part and they haven't really talked about much either so he's really really been on his own journey as they like to say. Do you make anything of the fact that Stephen Robin were talking on night. Are we being groomed for for a showman's between Stephen Robin one hundred percent. I think we're looking at like I think Steve's tries to painted as UH. She's all that moment but it's really more of like an American pie type of thing where they're both Kinda dweeby but I absolutely think once they defeat the monster it might not be a full out make out session the middle of Star Court Mall but I do think that it's going to be at least a kindling kindling that they're building at this point because otherwise you know why make reference to it we had an episode three now. We have an episode five so let's look out for it and seven so the so the Green Goo is not gonNA turn you into a teenage mutant Ninja Turtle. It's GonNa Liquefy you if you if you try try to drink it which Erica says she's going to do the choices die of thirst drink the green goo. She's drinking that Shit. I mean listen. I think Eric has the early producer on who is it. The Bear grylls show Oh God versus wild yeah I think so yeah still drink the green in Goo. It's not it's not a Green Apple Gatorade zone so you gotta be very careful with this stuff as we come to find out because two soldiers they roll up they open the elevator. Everybody gets the top they're watching their spying on them and just when they have the chance chance <hes> Steve takes the canister from Erica and use it to prop the elevator door before it shuts on them and they're able to escape the elevator and just in time for the door to shut on the Green Goo which causes it to explode and there's there's like again another straight out of the aliens page 'cause aliens the only source of acid in fiction yeah other shows are very basic..

The nuggets actually built a seventeen point lead by the third quarter only to see it whittled down to a deuce with under a minute to go in the fight for the rebound this. I haven't mills guessing ahead of Forbes Forbes all away in a two hands slam. It's eighty six it's a two point lead for the nuggets with fifty two point two seconds remaining in the game. "Goes to the free throw line here for Denver. Two free throws coming up here for the blue arrow kinda crazy came in the first half. I mean Millsap had twenty. But after that Barton nine Yokich to Harris four and Murray five just nobody else, really boring wise anyway. Free-throw number one for Jamal is up and you'll have one more. Joe-marie shooting eighty four percent from the free throw line. Second one is on the way that one is good. And the nuggets are down by two sixty two fifty eight. And here comes Luca Danni. Don, Chaz it up the high right side hands off behind him to Hardaway top of the key Powell left side back into Vicki Novitsky top the key Don-Shik guarded out. By Gary hairs over the Brunson for triple that one's good. Gets the Mavericks back in the late sixty three to fifty eight. It's five points breath. We'll Barton's jocks across the timeline. He's lobs it inside the arc opening a Colo Yoka chains off the Murray Murray stops cuts against the grain does the left hand jumped past behind him to Yokich you'll get in the corner Millsaps for three. Dot net nuggets. Get the lead back down to two. Again, another great heads up play by Nicole. Yokich catches the ball at the free throw line drives and draws the defense. Great kickout Fennell sap dodge drives on Yokich beat him gets down the lane. Layup is up an end boy they hung out to dry there. Nobody helped him out after Donncha got past him at the three point. One Murray has atop the key over the Paul Millsap. Throws it over to yoga she'll get back over to Millsaps Chhaya three talents. Too strong rebound down a Mikkola chips. It out to Jamal Murray Murray gets from joker moves off to the elbow back out to Yokich had fake on the three drive. In addition to the corner over to Gary hair shot clock at four Harrison Cannes scotch Chataway takes a baseline jumper that won this and the rebound saved from going out of bounds by Bronx and off the legs of Paul Millsap. Hour 2: Mel Kiper Jr's NFL draft predictions

"Mel kiper junior into the show. What's up melt? Hey, guys, how you doing? Good. All right. So number one overall. Mel you have Nick Bosa going to the cardinals. You've heard the things cliff Kingsbury has said about collar Murray, he's a big fan. But he's also said Josh Rosen is our guy. So how confident are you about the cardinals going Bosa at one do guys with a mock draft you call around and you get different opinions. You try to build some type of a consensus. Steve drafted Josh Rosen. I thought he held his own for getting no help you seems like the players in that locker ROY believe in him you move forward. Josh Rosen would have a higher grade than any quarterback in this draft. If you go basically apple apple, and you try to reject a year with a year experience where they would be. But I think they're happier with Josh Rosen than they would have been a quarterback including Tyler Perry. Tyler Murray is still five nine five ten and size body type or still some things at the combine and pro day, and he's going to have to answer to give up on Josh Rosen and go that direction. I don't see it happening based on the people have spoken to. So I went with both. Over Josh Allen. That's going to be the debate the trait outta there. Do you tape boasts Allen right now, it seems like Bosa may be the lead who knows internally with their thinking. But trading out of there for team. Let's go out and get Askins. Maybe something maybe interested in listening to Mel. I'm very surprised by that draft. Order Nick Bosa is the is the foolproof, right? He's going to be a stud, but people felt that way about Nick last year. Sorry, Bradley Chubb last year, he's the best Pash rusher by so much you might as well, get them. There question marks about everyone including including. Cleveland Browns quarterback acre Mayfield, including Gregor Mayfield. Sam darnold everyone. So they're going to go, Bradley choke with not only didn't go Bradley Chubb. They went to the talented quarterback, you know, out of the big twelve who they had questions about right? Isn't that Keiler Murray this year, and isn't Nick Bosa basically, Bradley up? Well, Trump had a great year and shove ended up going to a team that utilize him and put him out there with Miller and he's a tremendous player. Tremendous young man, he's going to have a huge future and the ratio that I think when taken the war, Denzel word overcharged was what Cleveland was kind of debating there. Do you take the corner the pass rusher and put him opposite Garrett? They thought Ogbeh would come on. He didn't. But that was a decision obeyed word played well till he got hurt. I think we look at at Murray Murray is different in that he's five nine and a half. He's not six foot and a half to twenty like Baker Mayfield was and is I think that body type when you think about we've never seen before we've seen Baker Mayfield types. Okay. Before we haven't seen Cuyler Murray fight go this SARS, no conflict Kyle Murray. Guys. There's none. So I think we've talked. The number one pick four pick even a first round pick for that matter. I've at thirteen to Miami you've never seen this ever happened before. So I think some answers may become at the combine when you see him as he looked like he can hold up. It looks those guys in the eye. Does he looked like an NFL quarterback putting on a board? You know, it's football IQ should be really good the hand size people. Always look at that nine is that is that there you can do it or you can't will see hand size with collar Murray comes in at so still some things that'd be determined the answers. I got back from that question. This week is was leave Cuyler Murray at thirteen don't move him up that seems to be fair for right now in the process is that you say that Mel just this morning. We learned we got some news. Peter King was speak into Lincoln Riley, the coach at OU, and he said that ninety one percent of the past column Murray through from the pocket while at OU last season ninety one percent of this passes were from floor from Nepal. So when you look at him in comparison to Dwayne has its handicap that us was break that down. What makes? What one quarterback better than the other for the next level in light of that ninety one percent there column, right? That's a great point. Because I think you look at how do you compare? I don't remember one man's L came out. I said he's a wild card even out liar. I don't know what he's going to be Baker Mayfield. Last year was the wildcard big three. We knew it was Josh Allen Sam darnold. Josh Rosen maker Mayfield was the wild card this year the wild card again is Kyle Murray. So you compare him to Haskins asan's as a traditional guy. Everybody knows what you're getting there. Even though he was one year as a starter. We don't know we're hoping I think if you draft him say at thirteen or wherever in the first round, you hope that today's NFL okay with the shotgun so deep getting that shotgun snap not under center, basically in space Todd mcshane's but talking about the statute great set more passes batted down for six foot and over quarterback than six foot and under quarterbacks like Cuyler Murray. So today's NFL makes this happen. It's kind of the perfect storm for him coming out at the right time and the right situation. So there's going to be able to protect his body. He can slide. We know that we know how lightning quickie. Yes. That is in the back. Of his Eddie senses things that nobody else. Can't you mentioned the pocket of build? That's underrated part. He will sit in that pocket. He will wait he'll go through progressions. And he's tremendously accurate. His completion percentage. Was right. Where Mayfield was and he accounted for more touchdowns this season. The Baker Mayfield did during his great year two seasons ago. So I said three months ago collar Murray six foot tall five eleven. It's no discussion. He's the number one pick. But at five nine and a half, it makes it interesting. So let's go to the other quarterback that people are talking about many projected to the giants including you at sixth Wayne Haskins. You said something interesting to me earlier, you said that that Sam darnold. Did you say Sam darnold would've sorry? Josh Rosen would've graded out as the best quarterback in this draft to me Dwayne Haskins looks like a better prospect than Josh Rosen or even probably Sam darnold does not as mobile as Sam darnold. How what do you think of where does Haskins rate and all this? Why wouldn't you give him a great underwear? Josh Rosen was less. Year. Well, they were better quarterbacks coming out. I think that those guys were elite we had talked to years ago about those guys even before they were in the draft that they would have come out earlier. They would have been highly. They were they were considered special. And they said back in August prior to those kids coming out last year that in August that it wouldn't set up well for those and they were Josh Allen, Los everything around them. Sam darnold loss a lot around him. And Josh Rosen was that UCLA where they didn't have a ton of talent. So it wasn't set up for those guys to live up to all the hype in terms of the numbers and the way they were expected to take over and dominate gains and be spectacular. So people were kind of wondering over radium. No, you weren't there. Great quarterbacks. And I thought the people in the league is that these guys this year be thankful if you're those teams you got those quarterbacks they're better and every team in the first round from Lamar Jackson won the Baker and everybody in between those guys are thrilled to have. And they don't have to worry about this Dwayne Haskins a one year starter. That's it. And he had a little trouble struggles rowing the Penn State game. But I like the fact he got better. He learned a seems like he's going to be all in to be a quarterback. He loves the challenge and the pressure that comes from being a quarterback. But so criticism of him to say those guys better those guys were considered super elite and special entities for a two year period. So that's not a critique Dwayne Haskins or or taking a shot. Joe Dwayne Haskins on that's a fair thing to say those three. And then you throw Baker Mayfield John Dorsey number one. Look what happened. He emailed that pick. They can own that division for the next ten years because of this draft and because of getting Baker Mayfield Bubills love Josh ninety five and five they weren't a games. He started to finish. You can Nate Sam darnold. Look what he did in the last month of the season. Look around more Jackson games. He wants those teams guys are thrilled that they know they got the right quarterback for a long long time. And hopefully for Baltimore. Lamar Jackson the passing has improved. But from from winning, and the attitude they're all in on the March access by those teams are really happy where they are right now quarterback

We just use to turn up at six, try and put something together, leave a and maybe not turn up next week. Whereas for them, it's at yoga from ten and then working on your body and eating very minimally at lunch and carrying on just not more of a lifestyle over there. And so by the time he came back, all of us would I know I'm too serious now to even maybe about to youth theatre where Barnes for ocean. Yes. See how or the people which, yeah. Yeah, and it was incredible for all of us. It really made us the adults. We all whether we stood acting or not someone's going to business and that we, we've all used that trick. My friends now mazing father of two. He's not an actor, but he still talks back to that trip and how much learned as a man. So even things like that and that was funded and then the year after we got invited back three of us to to like build on what we've done last year. But of course the funding site. "Well w how would you feel about semaj ap ryan if he round with start why i just think that you're going to get bids working in passing situations were gross appearance healthy or not and so my expectation would be is that he's gonna get a very heavy workload and so especially working the passing game so steadier leaks probably not so much but i think he could be a sleeper npr you think he'll get a lot of touches i think it's like what we would not to the same level of talent but the same level that we talked about chris thompson when p ryan was hurt in iraq kelly was her youth you'll get a lot of numbers i think he'll get the decent amount production so you're drooling over bibs half said it as our eyes game to be played against daylight with him last years i had what would you howard had outweighing government or bibs if it's just bibs i'll take nibs all right but appearance there you'll take allman yep and it's the championship so probably people aren't starting these guys have other wide receivers starters at jameson crowder hate the match up four eight the matchup role washington's receivers are going to be going to be tough for cousins that hit them sit your redskins and then cj anderson which is start cj anderson or um well all the good the odds we've only really talked about great running back so far today so let's go to an afc home game guy cj anderson ortelius murray murray murray was close citing anderson's atop twenty running back yeah yep if he scored touchdown based on the work what he's gonna get you're gonna get a top10 production type again i'll have out cj anderson or jj anderson yep.

"Want selfishly as a fan as a person does this for a living i want football to thrive and i believe very much that if we ignore this and don't address it and don't take it from what it is we don't take control of our own sort of destiny as football fans than it will this disease will have they dramatically negative impact on the sport operate you for the call let's go to syracuse were fred is listening and hanging out fred what's up man you're on cbs sports radio a headed as gone well chicken different earned work underground and what you're saying that uh murray murray probably at the end of no mid a prominent and nearing kurt hoechner an and he everybody critically and hear it here and now nothing can in any kind of duty at their born in ensuring they're clear for the hermitage peter line editor for early no it's eight hundred nine or respectfully and i appreciate the phone call there's no doubt that there was a time when the nfl was in a state of denial and there's movies about it there's history there's you know that that that is true but at this point i think the nfl has done a pretty good job you could say too little too late but i you'll give him credit they're addressing this head on there actually one of the most important voices pushing for youth football to have a lot less contact they're trying to actually have it you know do both which is the which is the symbol that i have and i i think at the same goal out of us have for football to be protected and for players and their brains to be protected again we don't have enough science we don't have enough data idea amount of scientists right so i'm my doubts still matter i doubt very much that not having contacts football player until high school prevent you from ct but we don't know maybe it will maybe the cut the rate down by a huge percentage maybe it will not but to be fair to the in raphel they of actually acknowledge that c t exists and is a problem and to be fair to you they did not do that as soon as they should have let's go to.

"So within their couple reasons i think the reason that he shares with bunch for other libertarian enthusiasts for this kind of idea um michael tanner out a kiddo comes to mind is that if you grew this at the rate of inflation it wouldn't fro as the size of the economy that the us like most rich countries is has a growing share of the government because of population ageing and because healthcare grows as as a cost much faster than the rest of the economy and so by cashing out all these health care programs in these parental seniors your for your brief seen a gene and healthcare inflation as reasons for for the government getting more expensive and growing and so for a libertarian a confessed attractive if it prevents these were natural forces from growing the government but murray murray's a weird guy he he has this very distinctive view of how human society should operate an this belief that that eighth very negative thing that has happened is that the government has usurped roles and communities that might have in another era been fullpage churches or mutual aid or or to stir your neighborhood and there's there's really interesting segment when he was a when used to being basic income at intelligent squared we're his scribe being what a world of basic income would look like you'd say that the now if someone is like a screw up in your town who who doesn't work on who serve please video games or does drugs all day they can begin always plead that they they don't have the resources they need they'll have have the jobs of the health care and they they would love to work and and be productive but uh but they just can't make it and that the base game removes that excuse answer gives you permission to berate this person in say like get your act together you have money we all money like do thing it's it's not like what i view the good society look like is for me as sort of naive about what people in those situations need but if you look at people were working age and not working like many of them are disabled and you can't just like.
