"Skits and music. Saturday night live. Are you a big fan of us enough. Not a huge fan of snl. But i have seen some of the skits. Recently they're they're really good. I mean but to be fair. Another big fan of comedy affirm me. There's so many songs on there. I can't i'm going to can't even think of the song. But the one with jimmy fallon and that's fun. Yeah where they keep breaking Go it's tracy. Morgan jimmy fallon. They're doing they're stupid. Little dance song. All i remember is the dump dance husband. That's like my husband every year. Seeing that song is going gonna now. We're going to spend all podcasts trying to the song and then it's gonna come to us after it we're gonna be emailing was this song can see them. I can picture singing on the left. The three of them are the right. And it's christmas time. Whatever yeah i think. They've done it twice. They didn't updated version. Just shredded balls. That was the classic the delicious dish in all that. I know that was like christmas episode. Basically and that's that's hard to get out of your head. That's always sort of funny. The back their sort of roaming around. So yeah i feel like i'm thankful to have like little. Snl when they do the specials where they combine all the holiday to see how. It's progressed over the years earlier wins. You're like you can get away with some of this stuff nowadays. But the only reason is because we've known about it for whole time reich. Yeah that's not can't do that but no i mean. They pushed the the they used to. At least they definitely pushed the envelope ally and trying to get away with what they could. I feel like they've aired toward one side much more these days Which would still piss off after country maybe But yeah it's you know. That's that's what comedy's for that's what any Satires for especially. And that's that's supposed to be in a lot of senses is pushing it as far as they can go into where we see aware breaks and then you know establish new understanding of how that stuff works. That's the point of it. All as far as i'm concerned that could be set up for anything in entertainment like people are widely too tightly like the point of any form of media whether it's tragedy comedy or drama is to push the limits of what we can think about in all reality. Yeah yeah totally agreed i. There's a little bit eddie murphy. Usa say like you know when he was a kid obviously he was pitching comedy from since when he could talk and he.

"I didn't want him to be the target. I didn't. I didn't want the defense to be able to say he did. He did Because i still thought. And i still think like a defense attorney so i had to do is find out when the bodies would when when people were missing and we did and it turned out that he was in prison for at least two of the merge so i felt a lot more comfortable in dealing with them at that point in time because you know he obviously had nothing to do with it And gave us information on one three young ladies and gentlemen And what was that information. Where bodies were and where. Where did you ultimately first thing we did was. We went to staten island at the meet with the district attorney in staten island. And we did guy by the name of murphy. Usa recall bill murphy. He was a good guy. Real good friend of john case and myself as i like them a lot. I like them a lot right And through him we got a search warrant for his mother's house in staten island. We went to his mother's house and there were a couple of new york city cops there that thought we was a joke. What it was. You know what's what's this all about. You know this is just silly and You know if it's general bodies worm. We dug him up and sure enough they were he had. Cut them up They were in plastic bags But we found two bodies and as soon as the first body was found one on the cops from new york. Moustapha just alerted. The media was in within minutes and so the two bod the two female bodies that were found we had discussed them in the previous episode. Was maria chela. Chela and deborah osborne. So they were killed by bagan wall to. Do you know the the manner of their death. One was stabbed. God's in god's warren was stabbed. I honestly i don't recall jello. She was shot. "This is time capsule episode one sixty nine and i'm tony to lauda fifteen chatelain and i've appeared on sanctuary and i'm playing sunrays. I'm ashley eckstein. Also known as the voice of a so qatada from star wars the clone wars colin cunningham. Also known as major davis says. She wants stargate as i should say. I'm robert j you go award winning author flash forward matthew bradley run co writer of fat kid. Good hell i. This is charles pico. Co-creator todd three will and you're listening to sci-fi talk. The movie season has slowed down a bit before halloween fall. Television season is here and the calendar has also indicated that the league will be falling soon as well one of the most anticipated shows. I'm looking forward to this. Year is the flash. Tim byers of a great site. The full bleed dot net sat down with other reporters at san diego comic con with grant. Guston who has berry allen the flash. Well he'd be leading. His own team is implied in the pilot episode as berry was in a coma for a reason. I won't share. Just yeah well he definitely needs. I mean if you woke up from the coma and was just by himself. But i don't think it would go very well so he definitely needs them right now but is very kind of stubborn because he's always done his own thing a little bit. He's always been an outcast and now he has these friends but they're his power and i think he's gonna be he's gonna let them kind of drive the car for a little bit but yeah i mean he. He may end up becoming the team leader. Because he's incredibly bright They all are though and but he also stubborn. So i think sometimes he's gonna not listen to their advice. We want the raiders to connection that during their and the flash has. We've got sue broadcast there to watch the yeah. So what do you hope that they do. I hope we can incorporate some time travel sooner rather than later. So yeah i mean. We've teased it With with harrison wells character but. Yeah i hope we can start to develop that more sooner than later. That would present an endless possibility for story. So that was tim. Byers fool dot com and his new cool site. The full bleed dot net asking that last question. What her berries. More relatable sympathetic qualities. He's been his whole. He lost his mom and eleven news. Awful but he's he's just kind of use a strong character because of it which is cool. I mean he's got this optimism this hope and he shuts people out pretty easily because i think he has kind of a hard time trusting. The actor is adjusting to the tv schedule of the flach number one on the call sheet and work every day all day pretty much and i'm still adjusting to that and win the fitting in my training when i can and just really just adjusting to a very drastic lifestyle change now. What kind of training did he do to prepare for the role. I'm i've always been fast. But as a kid. I always beat people and racist and everything but i quit soccer's kit. He's thought running was ridiculous. I thought running back and forth was reading. Ironically yeah trying to sign you up to murphy usa track and field coach in high school always tried to recruit me. But i was i was doing theater was passionate about doing theater so but i'm fast enough to do it. So what is it. You like about this role as a. It's obviously as of now. My favorite role i've ever played and would only scares me about it is it might always be my favourite complex. He's just so nice. And everyone. I mean he's got a lot of qualities. I think that people can relate to and. I think that's why people are excited about this. Show this character is just really likeable. I love playing. And what quality or qualities share with barry allen. His optimism is probably the most similar qualities quality. We share the most in this career. I think you have to be optimistic. Or you're crazy In the only reason i do this is because how much i love it. And i guess i just haven't time in my life acting in theatre. It's just. It's what. I could see myself doing anything else and i think. Optimism is necessary while that Going to be going. Yeah well first of all. I hope that happens i mean. Hopefully that'll happen in the near future. Too but yeah. I don't know that'll be a daunting task for barry green appeared on glee and he was asked which of the two roles was more physically demanding. Those kids bust their ass. And that's a hard. Yeah i mean. They work harder than most people on. Tv i was just in the suit for thirteen hours the other day. Doing a fight scene and that takes a toll on your body. The next day. I felt like i got hit by train when i woke up to talk more specifically about his training for the flash nothing too drastic. I mean i. I've always like as a dancer. I've always trained. Keep my body in shape. And i'm naturally thin and there's not much i can do about that so i haven't had to change anything drastically. It's fitting it in with shooting schedule. Has been the hardest part about shooting those high speed elements of the flash. It's containing my legs says long lanky person i've always reached as iran and i. I worked with the track and field coach. When i got the job and learn to kind of keep it all under me. A little. Bit more and articulate my feet be reach with my feet and my leg rejected just trying to contain lanky body. Thanks guys who don't wanna look for the flash on the cw. October seventh episode. Starting us off will be city of heroes. And if you're like me and one of the lucky ones associated san diego county com. This summer you know it rocked. The series has a lot of promise. And there's some of the justice league in the pilot. You'll see what i mean for those who haven't seen yet special. Thanks to tim byers. The full bleed dot net and full dot com for being at the roundtable. And covering that for me. I'm glad we're able to bring you guston's interview a forty to enjoy the flash. There's more sci fi taught so stay tuned back on sci-fi telecom tony tomato. I had a chance. Recently to speak to claude voisey composer of wrong turn six and he also composed scores for wrong. Turn three four and five. Here's part of our conversation. Well you know it's if anybody knows scoring the wrong term franchise to you you certainly have been involved with it When you when you you just did the latest one. And what's the challenge keeping the music. Fresh you know each time you do one of these. Yeah that is definitely a challenge. has not just for that. You're but even for yourself as a composer you want to always find a way to make it fun and exciting. You know you can. Even you didn't a selfish way because it's much more interesting to to come up with new ideas and it just hits your your need of juices. Barnes are really that it's a.

"They have more than enough go android and that's why I've I've for the first time. I've had my iphone now more than I decided after a year of paying off when I'm eligible for an upgrade. To upgrade, it's worse right the because I've got the iphone Ten are the iphone eleven the iphone twelve to me I don't think it's a big enough jump to warrant the extra expense for me to upgrade to those phones. That's a good point I'll continue using my ten for the time being sometimes the various models had major improvements and you thought, oh, I got to have that. So you would make that jump to take that leap but in this case, not so much a WHO knows maybe I'll keep using the phone I've got. Now I think nine months before this phone has paid off and then maybe I'll just enjoy having a paid off phone hoping paying interest. Now there's no interest. It's just they've divided the payments equally or what have you for however long right Yikes, pretty bizarre. That's the only way to afford these thousand dollar phone these. Well, that's true speaking of phones the phone carriers are dying for your business with the new iphones especially at and verizon are offering free iphones to selected buyers of the new seven hundred ninety nine dollar model by providing monthly credits with verizon limiting the promotion to new subscribers at and T. will provide the phone to anyone who upgrades from an iphone eight or later model or any handset worth at least ninety, five dollars. Okay while t mobile will sell the iphone pro for one hundred dollars with trade ins if two of the devices are purchased by new customers. So that they're all dying for Your Business and trying one way or another to get your business and since there are now. Three carriers in spite of the prepaid stuff, they're all they all use one or more of those carriers. It's just at and T. Verizon and T. Mobile. Now, there is no more sprint. So that's how that all works but they're all going to continue to have deals of some sort. And try to get your business. You can just call him sucky carrier one sucky carrier to carrier three years. None of them are really better or worse than the other. They all suck. That's probably the best way just suck less in certain areas. Very true and five gene nobody has nationwide coast to coast five g. yet don't let anyone think that they do and we talked about that on the first hour when we were talking about the new iphone because they they released the first iphone with five G. Connectivity and finally, and really it's just future proofing yourself because unless you live like an area here, we have it in Miami in many areas because they were trying to get it in time for last year's superbowl. Yeah. Because the new. A lot of five G. Towers near our studios even on the main drags out here and they're just those tall cans basically. But if you live in a smaller metropolitan area, you have five G. for another year so more and more that's that's very true. If you're into shopping on black Friday especially at Walmart they said they will still hold in store black Friday deals the day after Thanksgiving starting at five am but instead of the usual chaotic crowds, they claim that they will be single file lines. Good luck with that stores will provide sanitized carts cap the number of shoppers at twenty percent of regular capacity they claim and offer Omni channel sales in three phases in November. So. Yeah. I don't know if that's GONNA. Make any difference with people who will probably still camp out on on Turkey Day for their five am opening but it'll be single file and only twenty percent of regular copaxone go to Walmart on a regular desk. Go there black Friday same here and we talked I think last week on the show as to whether or not. It's worth getting their Walmart plus and ultimately off the air, we were talking to looking into it and saying it's not worth it there. There's really no perks right now the the perks have ever is that you can get free limited delivery. Of Groceries and stuff. But I live literally five miles from your house almost almost exactly five miles your your address qualifies for Free Delivery my address for whatever reason does not some very. Well. No. Because you know I I can't take advantage of your membership. Yeah. Oh that was your plan. What made you think I was going to buy the membership because I let us my prime membership. I don't order stuff I use it for the video. One of the other things which can only be helpful if you shop with your own shopping bags or whatever is you can check out or as you're shopping scan items with your smartphone as your as your shopping so that when you then get to the checkout line, you just scan secure code in the APP and then pay for all your all your things at once but you still have to go to the checkout line obviously wait in line to get there. Then you still have to bag all your stuff. So that's not really a person. One hundred bucks a year to be able to do that ninety, nine dollars a year they're charging for this for Walmart plus and you get five cents off a gallon of gas at the at either the Walmart or Murphy USA gestation which they own. Jeez so that to us wasn't worth the one hundred dollars a year. And if that's the only perk because where everybody else is offering video. Streaming services, things of that nature and I've talked about before I'm surprised because they own Voodoo. Yeah. I was really surprised. I was expecting that because they want to try to compete with Amazon, prime that they would include some kind of streaming service with blue in there but they don't they're not in in I. Wonder if at some point when they don't get very many people. Signing up for the Walmart. Plus if they say, all right, what are we gotta do we gotta give away Turkeys or something or or I know it let's give away Voodoo. We owned it anyway make it part of the deal or cut it in half if somebody's questioning whether or not they want to have voodoo find give them fifty percent of they're already a member or something. But at the moment, our opinion is don't spend the money. Yeah. Not Worth it. Google assistant will soon be able to book a haircut for you call Salon and requesting a time on your behalf. This feature was announced two years ago when Google first unveil duplex, it's tech for having a human sounding system call stores and make requests for whoever picks up its first and only consumer feature was making reservations at restaurants and that launched in late two, thousand, eighteen in the US you can tell the service at time range too. So it can make adjustments if needed. The feature only supports booking three basic services though a men's haircut or women's haircut or a general haircut what the heck is a general haircut? Or figured that would have been covered in men's or women's that pretty much covers everybody. But you know what I guess if you identify as a general maybe. then. You would be getting a general haircut. Oh, my gosh that's pretty bizarre but it's all robotic body. It's all artificial intelligence calling. Barbershop. So I guess you would tell the APP or whatever. General store right the time range that you want, and then guess it will call for you and try to make an appointment within that time range you sit and it'll no doubt be calling in saying I am calling on behalf in a robotic voice no doubt. On behalf of Dave who wants to book a haircut on Tuesday between six and eight. PM. What time can he come in? And then it'll hopefully get the time correct and thank them, and then it'll put it on my calendar. Probably if it was somebody like me that answer the phone, the other I don't talk to machines and I. Actually will go very well what did you want a mentor cutter or women's haircut because we both now one in general I want to general haircut. But I'm sorry you're only a captain. "And only twenty percent of capacity go to Walmart on a regular deaths go there on black Friday same here and we talked I think last week on the show as to whether or not it's worth getting their Walmart plus and ultimately off the air we were talking looking into it and saying it's not worth it. There's really no perks right now the the perks they have or is that you can get free unlimited delivery. Of Groceries and stuff, but I live literally five miles from your house almost almost exactly. Five Miles your your address qualifies for free. Delivery. My address for whatever reason does not some that right there was saying well, no, because I can't take advantage of your membership. Yeah. Oh that was your plan. Oh, what made you think I was going to buy the membership because I let us my prime membership. L.. Yeah but I don't order stuff. Well, I use it for the video one of the other things which can only be helpful if you shop with your own shopping bags or whatever is you can check out or as you're shopping scan items with your smartphone as your as your shopping so that when you then get to the checkout line, you just scan secure code in the APP and then pay for all your all your things at once You still have to go to the checkout line wait in line to get there. Then you still have to bag all your stuff. So that's not really a person you have to pay like one hundred bucks a year to be able to do that ninety nine dollars a year they're charging for this for Walmart plus and you get five cents off a gallon of gas at the at either the Walmart or Murphy USA gas stations which they own. Yes. Jeez. To us wasn't worth the one hundred dollars a year. And if that's the only perk because everybody else is offering video. Streaming services, things of that nature and I've talked about before I'm surprised because they own Voodoo. Yeah. I was really surprised. I was expecting that because they want to try to compete with Amazon prime that they would include some kind of streaming service with Voodoo in there but they don't they're not in I wonder if at some point when they don't get very many people. Signing up for the Walmart plus if they say, all right, what are we gotta do we got a giveaway turkeys or something or or I know it let's give away Voodoo. We owned it anyway make it part of the deal or cut in half if somebody's questioning whether or not they want to have voodoo find give them fifty percent if they're already a member or something. But. At the moment, our opinion is don't spend the money. Yeah. Not Worth it. Yeah. Google assistant will soon be able to book a haircut for you. What the heck is a general haircut I don't know I kept for your Lama or figured that would have been covered in men's or women's that pretty much covers everybody. But you know what I guess if you identify as general, maybe then you would be getting a general haircut go. My Gosh that's pretty bizarre but it's all robotic robot. It's all artificial intelligence calling. Barber shop. So I guess you would tell the APP or whatever. General Soar Right. The time range that you want, and then it will call for you and try to make an appointment within that time rains you sit and it will no doubt be calling in saying you know I am calling on behalf in a robotic voice no doubt. Behalf of Dave who wants to book a haircut on Tuesday between six and eight PM. What time can come in? and. Then it'll hopefully get the time correct and thank them, and then it'll put it on my calendar probably somebody like me that answer the phone and the other i. don't talk to machines and I. That will go very well what did you want a men's haircuts or women's haircut because we do both now one in general I want a general haircut. Yeah. But I'm sorry you're only a captain. It gets a bit confusing. Doesn't it does Jeez Michael in Tyler Texas listens on K. TBB. Point Five FM and joins us into tomorrow the IPADS the APP phones, even the galaxies, the charge port so much things Bamford amount of time it's you keep those and use them. They just don't hold up. I was hoping that maybe they could put some time in economic zone there but that's probably not going to happen but anyway your thoughts on that thinks well our pleasure Michael but we actually. Haven't heard complaints about the ports themselves lots of people complain about the cables even though those put up with a lot of abuse but we hadn't heard complaints about the ports themselves until your call you may be in luck though odds are your phone already has another way to charge that is harder to break and that would be wireless charging. That's what I use all the time even in the CAR I. Don't I don't plug a cable into my phone ever. Yeah. Same here I mean you probably a good candidate for charging pad that can charge your phone and you get one or several of those. You won't ever need to plug anything it. You can just rest your phone on the Mat and it will do its thing I've got one here on my desk at work like you I've got one in the. Car I've got one on the side table in my living room and I've got one on my nightstand. So everywhere I go I just set my phone on an charges saint I prefer the ones that are tilted because I want I don't want to just lay it flat I like to see if I get a notification I also have in the case of my android device I've got always on clock. That also shows me notifications and it just moves around on the screen, but I can at a glance I can see the time if I don't have my watch or if it's at night and I wanNA glance. Thing but even that is wireless at my desk, my nightstand as well. My car. It's wireless. Versions that you can buy for your home, your car, and even some that are part battery pack. You've got one of these. Yeah that you carry in your pocket. He should really never need to plug it in but if you ever find yourself having to do it at least your port will be brand new and likely to work. Yeah. That's very true. So Michael, definitely. We suggest the wireless charging that she or Q. If you will. And you can get them very inexpensively. There's so many different brands available. Now that you can get, you can get the brand of your phone most likely would have wireless charging pad, but probably would be more expensive. So you can get any off brand and just do it. Now keep this in mind we had this experience too though if you've got a really thick case. It could interfere with the charging wireless getting to your phone. So keep that in mind if it doesn't work very well, you may have to change your case still do a protective one, but maybe not as thick. And some people like to put those little pop sockets on the back or something of that sort if it can't lay flat even with the case against the charging device for the pad, then it might not charge very well. So just keep that in mind that should help. Yeah. Let us know what you think or maybe you've got some additional input for Michael let us know at eight, hundred, eight, nine, nine into or even better the audio.

USA the gas station owner has advanced twenty one percent earnings beat estimates for the third quarter after coming up short for four quarters in a row and do common taker deseo has also climbed twenty percent the aircraft parts makers third quarter profit another and revenue top ten was highest projections Dave awesome looks at center thank you twenty dressing up before holiness I'm just gonna be all right that is good enough has plenty good ad please they get some exciting it ties let's switch gears now to the missile bond market interesting story especially in light of what happened after the two thousand and sixteen election we saw a lot of volatility in the mini debt markets are now what is it Wall Street preparing for if president trump wins or loses the election joining us amid all right out Bloomberg news because the bond reporter so how are people positioning ahead of the twenty twenty election yes so it seems like a mini market investors are actually looking forward to twenty twenty they're kind of starting to factor in higher taxes under the democratic candidates and they're also kind of saying that they don't see taxes going any lower so the reason why this is important is because obviously knew needs are tax free so people tend to seek them out when they're worried about their taxes going higher which is something that we've seen play out you know all of twenty nineteen thanks to the new limit on US state local tax sections housing Unimog bond market performed in twenty nineteen so far so the mini market is doing it started off pretty strong but now were underperforming treasuries even though we do have all this cash coming in you know the story points out that this has been kind of a record year so far for me by and flows but basically the past few weeks we've been kind of way down by an uptick in supply how often do people get these election calls right I mean it was a story on the Bloomberg terminal this week about how everybody says this guy's gonna fall the matter who wins and they're always wrong and it's a great contrarian indicator is the same true in the meeting market it's funny because the story mentions this report in twenty sixteen from Barclays and you know the report you know mentions that maybe a trump when wasn't price in in twenty sixteen and it said that it expected a violent flight to quality if trump was elected that's exactly what happened in the muny market in November twenty sixteen it was the worst month since two thousand eight and you know the way that investors talk about that month if they're still pretty traumatized by it but people seem a little bit more optimistic about twenty twenty because you know basically they don't think that taxes can come down anymore just given where you know the federal deficit is so what kind of individual individual investors buying mini bonds is it just the the wealthy looking to cut their tax exposures or is it pretty much across the board yeah so it's more of an asset class favored by the wealthy and that's kind of why we've seen so many inflows this year you know a lot of people in New York New Jersey California those are kind of the notorious muny bond lovers and so they've been kind of the ones that have been flocking to the media market have one right here yes this is all cases not a big fan so no is it so I have a question yes we have here a test case right Mister Sweeney from New Jersey and are you planning to buy or sell depending on the outcome of an election I'm just a big fan of the municipal bond market for myself always has been so it's a big part of the portfolio but you know I can tell I've just known in the written the tri state area a lot of people are talking a lot more but you know since the since president trump the tax bill about municipal bonds as a way to try to offset a little bit of the the changes in the salt taxes the state local tax deduction but it's Amanda one of things that in the midst of a bond market I don't really have a good handle on as a taxable municipal bond market it's in it's almost like an oxymoron what's going on there yeah so that's more of something that institutional buyers tend to favor retail doesn't really seem to care about tax bill Yunis they really want that tax exemption and so you know if there has been this huge surge in taxable issuance this year but maybe not so much on the tax exempt side which people like Matt Dillon who I quoted in the story you know they're saying that they see the tax exempt units becoming really scarce because of this phenomenon where people really I want to protect their money from Texas how is the prudence on the part of the Saudis that are selling debt right now other words how good he is the underwriting right now so it's an interesting question we've written a lot about high yield deals this year you know in just kind of concerns that investors have raised with covenants you're seeing a lot of big investors say that they're sitting on the sidelines you know they don't want anything to do with the high yield deals that have come to market I think you know in the investment grade spaces it does seem prudent to some unique because interest rates are so low and it's a really good time to borrow but I I think on you know the below investment grade cider unrated side you know we've seen all basically all year and you know last year to just people raising concerns again and again with the protections on these deals are made espouse rushing out to issue debt at these low levels we've seen states in hospitals and and bigger size issuers they're the ones that have been floating the big taxable deals I'm in the media market and they're doing that to refinance debt issued about a decade ago so that's kind of accounting for a lot of the surgeon and bond sales this year man all right thank you so much for bringing us up to speed on the municipal bond market demand on break covers all things municipals for Bloomberg news so just getting a sense there what's going on it's you know it a lot of people were a you know crowding into municipal bonds and we seen a lot of fun flows into missile bonds in the as a menace that they performed a generally pretty well so an interesting part of the fixed income market that that maybe not a lot of investors are as couple with no other getting a lot more come get let them I mean honestly I definitely I don't really understand why individual would buy a taxable missile bond to Amanda right point but interesting to see how to becoming a comparable fixed income instruments for institutions yeah absolutely just real quick check on the market we have the S. and P. down eleven dal down one fifty right now let's head toward ninety nine one studios in Washington DC for world and national headlines with Nick and your name the watching the votes role in Paul on the U. S. house floor resolution that would lay out the ground rules for public impeachment proceedings against president trump house speaker Nancy Pelosi is calling this a sad day I doubt anybody in this place or anybody that you know comes to Congress to take the oath of office comes to Congress to impeach the president of the United States White House counselor kellyanne Conway says there is nothing Congress can do to make the Enquirer illegitimate it was October.

"Now, let's hash out the day's events. This is the drive with Leigh Matthews. Hey, good evening. Let's reset the scene and revisit some of the topics on the old topic buffet are you watching the Super Bowl this coming weekend. I am not. Sometimes I do even though it's a team. I don't really care about. But not only do I not care about the two teams. I think it's a counterfeit Super Bowl. I just do. But are you going to at least watch it for the commercials? Little bit later on. We'll get into how some legislators want a five day week back in schools. What do you think of that? And we're also talking about Kendra horn and Kendra horns nubile she's calling it the shutdown to end-all shutdowns Bill basically stripping money from the president. If there is any sort of government shutdown as though those in the legislature just sitting there with a little halo over their head. Nobody's to blame in the legislature. No, I mean, not not legislature the the house of representatives. Now, if she were more comprehensive and that nobody got paid. In government. I'd be all about that. A dispensary was robbed. Probably don't have to look very far to find the culprits and a little bit later on our Democrats bringing anything, and I mean anything to the table when it comes to borders other than we don't want. We don't want Trump to have any anything. We don't want him to have anything no border. No, nothing. In fact, the the more the borders, look, bad and the more porous. They are the the worst the president looks that seems to be the philosophy. That's coming from Democrats in the house of representatives. Yes. I mean, Nancy Pelosi. And anybody who's going to put the security of the United States at risk? For political gain. I don't think deserves to be in that position. All I know a lot of politics allot of congressmen and senators get into office and realize what the gig is and like it, and they wanna stay don't blame them. There's a lot of perks. If you're doing your job, right? There are a lot of perks. But there's a lot of work a lot of work. In fact, I wouldn't want it. I told you about my visit to Senator Lankford office. Do not plastered all over Senator Langford office. The the recurring motif, pictures and sculptures and little trinkets here and there. Of Jesus washing the disciples feet. And I asked him I said that one of your favorite themes in the bible. He said, yes. Service. Jesus. The Lord is serving his people. I said, you know, I like that. I said I'm wondering if I wanted to the senator's office of any of the other senators here, the democrat, Republican, whatever I would see that kind of dedication to service. That's why I think Senator Langford deserves to say there. Congressman Russell was kind of the same way. Of course. I think congressman Russell was brought up in service with his service to the nation. He was a Lieutenant Colonel. Many want to be a member of the house of representatives because it's a cool job, dude. And everybody looks at you and listen to you. And that sounds to me like what Cossio Cortez's attitude is. Anyway. Your thoughts. Eight four thousand star one thousand on NewsRadio one thousand Katie. Okay. To own one and to be walking around the streets with one is massively expensive to do. It look legally you have to have a class, three license. You have to maintain that class, three license. So if it was a MAC ten which I doubt it was. It's more expensive to walk around with the money. He was using to if he's doing it legally. But then again, oh, wait a minute. They're supposed to be illegal. Dave rights Lee. You are almost certainly wrong. As is channel four and reporting the machine gun was used in a robbery the semi auto version looks just like the full auto and the full auto fires from an open bolt semi on top full auto Mack second. Oh, he's showing a picture of the two. It has a collapsible stock and there's about seven thousand five hundred dollars so data agree with you. I doubt that was the weapon used to. Because that's not something you see why it may be looked like it. But I doubt it was onto national news as the deadline approaches for the government shutdown again and everybody's racing to try to get the president to stop from doing that. But making laws against it. But Michael Bowers joining us from twenty four seven news who is pressing the president Michel and are the Democrats come. To the table with anything. So far, the Democrats have remained pretty on the closest thing we've seen as we've seen dick Durbin who's going to be on this big seventeen person roster. The all star if you will for bipartisan panel of negotiators has said that he trysted in funding border patrol barriers. If there was an immigration reform for doc on the table, and he's looking for yellow full reform in regards to Dhaka. Now, that's the closest we've come to. I don't know that that's going to come into play whatever the final negotiation or multiple negotiations may be or whatever kind of in the middle meeting. These guys can come to Galveston come to in the seventeen member bipartisan panel, but it's going to make their start today. That's when they've had their first hearing is ready to go today. It's going to be the conference committee that has until February border security package, and they are legitimately going in there for the sole purpose of compromise. Because you're seeing these most senior members of congress involved in your. You're seeing a lack of vocal immigration hardliners there. So this doesn't sound like it's going to be the politics as usual. This is going to be the politics of negotiation and trying to come up with a compromise here. And and then I guess and and and cross your fingers at the president or Nancy Pelosi would both be interested in signing off on. This is Nancy Pelosi threatening any of her members who are also part of this committee, if you cave, I will make sure none of your bills. See the light of day. It's interesting. If that is the case, I don't necessarily know dick Durbin would have come out and said that what you said about it. He would be interested in funding the border the border security at the border, okay barrier element of it. But that said it's very possible that that was just the the open door policy. And then what we're going to hear behind the scenes going to be something totally different. So we know that in the past Nancy Pelosi has gone out and reached out to some of those individuals who are part of these negotiations. We also know the negotiations went on behind her back that actually during the shutdown were legitimate negotiations that had some level of merit to them that neither she nor President Trump would sign off on. So it's interesting because you've seen the only way to really sort of reflect what's happening this sort of look at the polling element, and you can find polling for every narrative out there. But in regards to that you're seeing President Trump's polling go very poorly just before the shutdown and here afterwards, people are still placing the blame for the President Trump. But you also seeing Nancy Pelosi have really poor ratings coming out of the shutdown for people believe. That she didn't do a good job in negotiations. And the she was as hard headed as President Trump was through that. So is that something that you are you expecting either party sort of softened up here when it comes to these negotiations and compromise. I don't know. But it would seem as though they both feel like they should recognize that the American public is not too happy with the way things went down during the shutdown now. And and it's interesting because you know, the legislative branch that is what they are supposed to do. They're supposed to compromise debate. And and make deals and the fact that she's not willing to do that right now in it appears on any level speaks volumes of what actually is behind this whole thing. Yeah. I mean it definitively. I mean, listen to you you had on both sides nobody bending, but I do think that you know, if if this is gonna come down to language if that's what Nancy Pelosi hinging this all in like if she's willing to go all in on border security. Or some form of twenty-first-century border wall. That's more of a high-tech element. Then you took a whole hell of a lot of time during the thirty five day shutdown to really get to the point where you're willing to be flexible on that because you should during that shutdown that you weren't. So if you're becoming flexible now, that's good news in regards to preventing another shutdown from occurring. But at the same time, you held this all up over language that would seem like a pretty damning moment for Nancy Pelosi here. So I'm interested to see what it is that this party can come up with. I have no doubt that they're gonna come up with some level of compromise. It would be difficult for somebody on either way from. But it's really going to be telling as to who it is that is more flexible and willing to bend and who's going to come forward with. Hey, look at this great deal that we've got meanwhile, there's a couple of books coming out about the Trump White House as the Muller investigation may be winding down. Of course, we've heard that before Michael Bauer I feel like I've heard about every month since solid go back to October was one. For the first month. I can remember hearing it recently and that came from the lips of Rudy Giuliani. Yeah. I don't think we're any closer. I don't I think you're seeing legal experts that are kind of pointing to a very sweaty Matthew Whitaker and saying I don't know that he necessarily knows what he's talking about. Not sure he was ready to or prepared to answer the questions he was asked on Monday. And that reality is just look at what happened with Roger stone pleading not guilty yesterday. The charges of the Russian investigation. They the FBI went into Roger stone's, home and collected computers and phones and the high tech world of forensics takes a very long period of time. You could have a phone that just has thousands of documents on his health and they've got to go through the phones they've got to go through the computers to try to track down. What it is that they're looking for..

"Okay. Oklahoma's place to talk. The workdays over. Now, let's hash out the day's events. This is the drive with Leigh Matthews. Good evening. If there is any sort of government shutdown as though those in the legislature just sitting there with a little halo over their hair. Nobody's to blame in the legislature. No, I mean, not not legislature there the house of representatives. Now, if she were more comprehensive and that nobody got paid. In government. I'd be all about that. A dispensary was robbed. Probably don't have to look very far to find the culprit and a little bit later on our Democrats bringing in anything, and I mean anything to the table when it comes to borders other than we don't want. All I know a lot of politics a lot of congressmen and senators get into office and realize what the gig is and like it, and they wanna stay don't blame them. There's a lot of perks. If you're doing your job, right? There are a lot of perks. But there's a lot of work a lot of work. In fact, I wouldn't want it. I told you about my visit to Senator Lankford office. Do you know, it's plastered all over Senator Lankford office. The the recurring motif. Pictures and sculptures and little trinkets here and there. Of Jesus washing the disciples feet. And I asked him I said that one of your favorite themes in the bible. He said, yes. Service. Jesus. The Lord is serving his people. I said, you know, I like that. I said I wonder if if I wanted to the senator's office of any of the other senators here, the democrat, Republican, whatever I would see that kind of dedication to service. That's why I think Senator lifer deserves to say there. Congressman Russell was kind of the same way. Of course. I think congressman Russell was brought up in service with his service to the nation. He was a Lieutenant Colonel. Many want to be a member of the house of representatives because it's a cool job, dude. And everybody looks at you and listens to you. And that sounds to me like what the Cossio Cortez's attitude is. Anyway. Now, your thoughts. Eight four thousand star one thousand on NewsRadio one thousand Katie. Okay. Police are seeking information hoping to locate a man who allegedly robbed a metro gas station and convenience store with a machine gun. It's about ten o'clock last night at Murphy USA near south western and one hundred fourth Cording to policeman walk to the store asked the clerk for a pack of six while the clerk was getting the cigs.
