"As that the director apparently didn't even know about it is actually one of the most incredible um like subtext homosexual movies that i've ever seen now let's emets as such at suraj apparently uh but here is that but that's the one where he freddie's ad hoc he ever i forget the dead what's the strict with the pontiff at one free it's the one where there's the the high school boy who cut of take a he'd be gump becomes possessed by france ray at at the gym teacher is like forcing him to shower and unlike his but it's it's all areas us all very so it's interesting so the screenwriter an odd were digress in like a through it is as long as it is oh my can get longer than my friend north are oh y'all draw the right show talgat i'll get will not gate at so the screenwriter and the main actor were both in the closet the time of interesting uh and according to the documentary wa that i watch we'll never sleep again we're both very aware that this was a young the texas movie was this kid kind of wrestling with his homosexuality freddie being that demon inside of emin worried about what it was when the dude everyone around him a pair of the director had no idea and their stuff in this movie with a look at and go through there's no way you didn't know how did you when you how did you not know and the funny thing is that the movie kind of falls outside of the night murnau's street cannon much not quite as extreme as halloween three does but definitely doesn't doesn't fit with the rest of the plot like goes from nightmare one a nightmare three in terms of the overall line but dumb but again aside from those kinds of movies where you can really you'll see that the something else going on yeah a lot of the sequel to these slasher films especially in the 80s uh you would find just decreasing dividends utility begin a became to fall in more with their pattern eating and less about creating something new and interesting about with.

"Revered filmmakers you might expect it to have a pretty meticulous visual look in this film certainly has that was that for you the biggest strength of the movie now the biggest strength that's how it goes a step further rat it's not just exquisitely framing these exquisitely designed to buildings or spaces at spent a lot of time gives a lot attention to interior spaces as well but it's taking that and putting it into service of actual cinemas so the way the camera moves among these spaces the angles that it yikes of certain details and the way it does work into the story of these two characters as well maybe the best example i can give is where it's at night and casey has taken jin too this building that's in a strip mall nondescript strip mall otherwise but it's an office space that's been built above it it looks like and it's illuminated it's very modernise so clean line straight lines and she describes how she comes here because it makes her feel at peace it soothes her and there's a lot of talk here about house spaces and buildings can either sue their unsubtle us and if they can it can but and the movie shows how they do no by putting these characters in those spaces and in this particular instance her hand comes into the frame and starts to trace those lines for him as she's talking about what a surprise of what a wonder it is that this building exist i think she says something about amidst all this masses me and here were getting the movement of her hand that brings more cinema into it i guess sir than just showing these locations so definitely that elevates columbus for me and really puts it up there with some of the the more significant films about architecture this is a real it this is a subject on her that appeals to me quite a bit and you get masters who have done this light from murnau to lang um too little oneoffs like the international which is a tom tick ver.
