Chikan your i don yeah But you know obviously being m. I a with cove it for the last two race weekends but no rubber quebec. No robot could hit to this weekend so it looks like he's coming back while you imagine they'll do this weekend. You think that any chance of claiming back p eight or do you think they are resigned to pay nine for now the resigns to unite and i call it the guys behind them getting points hostage just dismal. We've covered somewhat on this show. An said nineteen point got so offer sorry to williams ahead alpha and score three all season three ten places. They need to get good points in brazil a couple years ago to even get close to that and he just call see it. Yeah i mean. Can you know we bought this weekend. That's going to be good team. Cabeza serfaty to stand up job as a as a stand in for reichen while they had grown virus. It brilliantly belt only so much could do without cau- gio you know he's absolutely basic qualified. you know. He's becoming italian. Jesus is becoming the new mr saturday but unfortunately on some taste just just going. A consistent rude is just golden wrong for him. It's not it's not what wants and they just end up near the bomb of running out by the end of it. If gio could get out there and qualified he into q. Three again which. I don't see if he and if he does he has to keep the call going for the whole race in a bit like sonoda alpha tower just finds that difficult so we probably overdriving the call. Because he's trying to make up for. How is you know eric. Denali is not their chassis. Is the engine definitely not there..

This is not research or anything like that. Like i legitimately think that it just comes naturally and a lot of the times. They don't even know that they're doing it until it's happened. I think some of them do it for so long. Even see the reason of doing it anymore. Yeah 'cause at first. I was like okay. He's trying to do this to me. He's trying to impress me. They're extremely skilled at lying. Her first huge lie was when she was in high school. Her first huge. So this person's documented the point where you know the first lie. Yeah damn there's a lot of stuff about her dot. Can i ask who's documented this part of the The mystery it's everywhere. This case is so famous that show many news and all kinds of stuff have reported on this. And i bet check snapper who this is. Yeah i don't. I don't have a freaking clue. Are you serious. My ignorance will enjoy together. Casey stopped attending classes during the second semester of her senior year to hang out with her older boyfriend. Her parents cindy and george had suspicions many times but casey always came up with lies show believable her parents let it go like a modeling. Yeah whatever they even attended. Casey's high school graduation were. They learned that she was several credits. Short of waiting. Casey then told her parents that the school got her timetable mixed up timetable. And it smells like there's been a dead body in the car unquote. Oh no mike. And i hate the story. I told you you're going to get really pissed off the nine one one dispatcher to speak with casey in the call. Casey seemed unconcerned. Almost uncaring compared to her mother's frantic nece. Casey explained that thirty one. Days prior keighley's babysitters zendaya fernandez gonzalez abducted kaley. Casey claimed to have gotten a phone call from zenaida on the day of the nine one one call and actually spoke to kaley for a couple of minutes. "Seat for next year and again. This is something that proves it. We didn't really see much of the tv or russell because the battle was more proud of them. But it's just good good experience for him. At the end of the day you know the next eighteen laps of racing in a say no to that and see us on. I'm not sure. I can call this out qualifying russell but to be on the grid ahead of russell for tomorrow now do he's comfortable to get Yeah i'm just thought to myself that actually put a fine full matt would perfectly suit. David gilford Quant qualify that can race. Yeah championships either. One probably still zero would be running. It'd be rubbing not wanna be loaded liepa of it so after that we've got i mean it doesn't matter for the guy is russell. Because he you know he's got the saints yesterday associate doesn't it doesn't exactly meet previ- saying he see just needs to get see out the rest of the season because it's good for the hates checked out. He's as driving with one hand on the wheel. He's got a per sick out in the other. He's got the gos- catalog rolling around in his head to decide what finish sure he wants to line as apartment with is already lined up as mercedes. I'm kidding i'm kidding it's I think the fact that he's behind the net showers just how well latifi to hold them off for may not just if i can go back very very quickly. I just wanna give a shoutout to nick. Because he's been sort of wholly forgotten about with the the news around george which is also very very exciting. Although wales were coming I think williamite an excellent choice in keeping necklace safety on for another year. He is a he does funds that tours. Dad's does fund that team but he does actually produce sold results as george Yeah good i mean. This is qualifying. Even though doesn't feel i can i. I'll be honest dark particularly like the sprint qualifying format. It just doesn't really doesn't really do it for me. Some light georgia's done well Hayes well you you'd never necessarily expect williams to to do well at a circuit light munzer. I mean i say that. And he a think of what he did spire qualifying but Under normal conditions high-speed track downfalls. That caused a little bit dragging a little bit blow to new areas where it shouldn't be. It's a little bit old fashioned still uses. I'm like a a noise philosophy. That's now three years old. It's just not a huge amount of dynamic developments until very recently because of no money and this year obviously with the target system has been very limited in what they could do. A lot of it was to do with the rear..

"Paris qualified. Pay nine in his red bull. While amaze antonio juvenile sea made it through to q three for the second consecutive race this time on home soil with the italian driver rounding out the top ten. I'm joined by. Jonathan naval mates. Photo comes f. on editor john another ephron sprint weekend is upon us how he feeling for it. We're just saying how tired we are off. The triple hedda think any levels different in a bit low these triple headers are punishing the new mclaren boss undersoil soils require spoken about it saying that when we come to formulate next year's calendar hopefully will be another step past the pandemic that f. One can't keep doing these because he just puts too much stress and strain and tiredness on on the cruise. Really just the packing up and going three race weekends and then you got the complexity of a more compact and late show duel in monza so thinker ever all be sleeping an awful lot. Come sunday night. Yeah we absolutely will be catching up to allow sleep at the end of this weekend. So let's talk about what we saw today. Voucher brought us gang. The speed king award believe it's scored by topping the timesheets today. Of course we have the well. We have lots of drive in news this week but we have the news. He'll be moving out for mayor. Many who is a performance like this out of the bag. fantastic job from him. Is this you know because the pressure's off. Maybe he can just you know. He's not worried about why he's gonna end up next year he's just throwing. It will enter into the mix this weekend or do you think that he was just the stronger of the two From the fast practice session that we saw while something just was walking in his favorite. By the time we got coyly probably combination of the circumstances about his contract You know he's fee trees now salted so that that kind of cloud hanging over him of having to drive his career in the future and I think does tie down away. You down and valerie talked a few weeks ago. His desire to have multi year contract. Something's not had in form long before so every year. He's faces constant battle to to perform. And i think just just not just the pressure up abedin just makes things a bit more intense than toto wolf spoke tonight and said he sends veltri was bit free this weekend. That you on was got on did it. And he had a Mistake at the second chicane in the first running key three and run wide. Haven't been exposed at the front as the man's give louis the to- came back into the pits told the team i need i need to. I can go three tenths quicker. No problem when out got the title of the team positioned him in the middle of the pack I think he was thinking behind mclaren. Buy com come one hundred inshore but i got the you needed and putting out for paul i think also potentially taking his fresh engine could give them a little bit as well because Mercedes winter engine management mode now and fresher engines tend to perform better. And i'll see of it they. They're concerned about engine. Life and potential reliability problem For lewis at some point If louis guests at the nfl. Max wins Often they calculated. It could take four four races of four victories with one to even catch up that tiny gap so they say at the. Nf cannot happen so they'll be dancing to maximize lewis's engine life not putting too much stress and strain of the engine. So it could. It could have been a factor that you know maybe bought. His fresh engine just gives a little bit more performance and nurses slutty. Older engine is wound back a little bit But i think it has set up the five voucher is got this grid penalty. We'll start sunday's race from the back a set up a fascinating scenario for tomorrow because you absolutely nothing to lease whatever happens. He starting from the back to mary and he's got. He's bang in the middle of it big championship. Fight between lewis and max. We've had this narrow enough on before someone has absolutely nothing lease. Yeah he really doesn't have anything to as you said. Great penalty will be taken on the sunday because of the new format. The penalty has to be taken actually at the property. Rice as opposed to the f. One sprint tomorrow. It's going to be really interesting to see how it plays out for him. Actually because like you said nothing to lose and those title rivals beside and behind him. It's going to be an interesting day to see how that unfolds nor any with him with how mercedes play as a whole the teams. I'm very intrigued to to watch that tomorrow. And you spike about the change in his p. Do you have any thoughts about when mercedes might take another engine. Four louis given that worries. Do you think it's something that will be next race race off to. Do you have any ink thing i think. I think a lot will depend on circumstances of race weekends. I think if there's any nothing's the same scenario with red bull maxwell step in because they need to take an engine drop at sometime so now he is fascinating prospect of the to talk to contended at some point. Have to take an engine penalty so that could be a scenario where one of them goes into race. You can take it and then the other team left with the dilemma of du. Not take the penalty. Grab the win and try. Maximize the points and hope you're over doesn't come back. Do you take the penalty the same time. And then you know you're shadowing what your rivals doings. There isn't a disparity of performance. So i think if there's ever if there is a prospect if one of them has a bad qualifying is unlucky to get knocked out in q one or less instant instant. Jump the scenario and slot that fresh engine 'cause it's hard to work out. You know what the race is coming out. Overtaking will be especially easy. And i don't think you're taking his especially using formula one You know people talked about munzer being easy but not not so convinced. That is because you get trapped in a trump's dearest train hair with unable to make the necessary progress Saatchi potentially if you've got the cop performance around the back of the track and you can direct down the main street. So maybe we'll see see one or both of them trying something in sachi interesting facts that brings into the season as unfolds. It's like you said they both got a take at some point And just throw things into the mix. Let's talk a little bit more about the vegetables. And their pace. Today max that he was happy with the p. free surgery down in p. Nine again so now the week where. He's just not really able to match. his teammate. Is not you. But i think today was today was pulled not poor circumstances just. He was unlucky to play in the team player. He didn't have. I mean the lack of to- cost him a lot of performance. So in effect he was almost a sacrificial lamb today that he helped played a pivotal role in allowing maximus tap into You know at least get up there alongside the mercedes. Because it looked q on q to a big danger that.

You can't sign them for van mo like they but yet they know about money and they know about digital currency from video games From every interaction that they have is like with a digital Whether like when i was a kid we were playing with mario with coins. And things you know about digital currency from you know when you're a little kid and even more so now but they don't have any way to deal with it except now with bitcoin they can and they can understand the finite supply. They can understand That it's on central. I mean nobody knows censorship like a kid you know so they can get a lot of They can understand some of these basic ideas of what makes bitcoin useful valuable important. And how the the way things are now just seemed like a convoluted and unfair. If they're not on the receiving end of the benefits yeah. It's really interesting because this is highly relevant at the moment to me and i've been through it all so my kids have a bank account each where i put fifty pound months since they were born so i think it was so by the time they're eighteen they'll have about ten thousand pound. Which was there. Go traveling for money. I wish been in bitcoin. Obviously for the last ten years but whatever but they have that but they can't access that until they're eighteen and that is managed by us. They both have money which they give as gifts from present a from parents and grandparents and brother brothers sisters aunties uncles. That is cash that in a drawer. And that's fine. That's usually fine but we're out and about they want things and they don't historically have console. I always pay pay for it. And my son when he was about fourteen started to talk about wanting one and there was one company where you can get a bank account for the but it's like you opening account they get a card and i just couldn't be bothered with it but he did it sixteen. He signed up for a neo bank and got himself munzer account but neither of them could as you said get account when they were younger and the other point is that you're totally right. I mean my son understands digital money he understands. Reefer points in the stands. Earning them he understands using them bind things and you're limited essentially scarcity within that he understands four nine dollars whatever it is in that. Yep the box that yeah so they understand all that and then today is funny was just totally coincidence. Would drive into town where to go and get some bits and my kids were talked about because we got to see my dad. I've seen him in ages and like we should get him a present about stuff like that and they'll say bite greenwich good presence and we'll have to do that for you when you're order but you wanna lamborghini was saying i can't afford us units stunning if i died. "Schedule. So you're trying to be something filming when you're like. Oh my go. God do this amount of pages each day so it's a little bit more more tv like so we want to make you look like a film but we're going to give you a tv schedule to it all the time. I wanted to know whether or not there were any cliches or tropes that you wanted to avoid while making this because i'm going to get into slept somewhat. This is going to go up the day of the finale going up so hopefully folks will get to catch up. But if you if you're listening to this and you haven't seen it yet you can. You can stop. And i'll i'll end the interview soon. But you know when they're when the group is sort of stuck on this remote island and they're doing some trading with eskimos to get a very bare minimum amount of supplies. The thing that struck me about that whole sequence was there are very few moments where everybody collapses to their knees and says god why have you forsaken us. And there's not a lot of Hysterics going on. These are people who are obviously trained to expect. The worst and i thought that that trickle down all the way to the ways in which the performance to be interacting with each other on the island made for much more compelling made it much more compelling to watch because you didn't have to get through the inevitable like what are they going to turn on each other and now that there's gonna be this and it's like no. It's obvious drax is going to go break bad as soon as you get these handcuffs off but the thing. That's really incredible as you can see sumner sort of rise as a leader as he started shakes off the laudanum and he becomes sort of sort centerpiece of this group. Trying to keep them together. An andrew curious whether or not when writing that when shooting it. Did you really like. We have to avoid certain cliches that come along with men in distress stories. Yeah i think so. I think i'm always trying to find the kind of like a solid dangle into this story the one that slightly different from the story as told and i think that weighed it comes down to trying not to so many cliches about men being together like especially in this economy As you say like men turning on each other men becoming violent like testosterone fueled rage. And i try to find something different than i am. I think there's almost like this. Both the conduct resilience comes out within these people and acceptance and the sort of semi compassion for each other within the which which i like him. I didn't wanted to feel. I didn't want the show a toll to feel to testosterone ni. If that makes sense even though it's a story about men so wanted to find the kind of different nuance in mayo. Relationships. mayo friendships. And how they need each in how they can turn on each other but how they can also support each other. And i think that kind trickles down into how the performances. Aw it's almost like a some kind of club than you might imagine this kind of story. Big and i think that is just my instincts and the way that i wanted to look masculine. I suppose while being kind of It being something thorny even more interesting And i think that leads to the story and then going into the final episode when someone gets back to ho where you expect this huge adaptive ending combat. Happy that i wanted to just to be a bit. When nuance jack on that island. One night zimbabwe base munzer genius. Why why do you find it fascinating. Tell me about it. Just senior to articulate in it relates to cliche just articulate in a way that is was paramount to his own out. There we start. The community is suicide ongoing and in our of playing off those cliches just stopping seniors. No and you know that that that by that same token jack the one thing. I love the most about that that whole sequence of scenes on the island. Is that when you're character. Sumner kind of gets out from under his laudanum addiction. He becomes this leader but the way he leads is is is very got light touch. Because it's almost you're leading as a surgeon. You're saying look i'm not gonna make you walk around but i'm gonna tell you what happens if you don't know and i'm not going to stop you from trying to screw over these eskimos in your trade but if you do like we're up shits creek without a paddle if if this goes wrong and i love how you like your performance almost after you've kind of gotten out from the the shakes from from from having the addiction like your character kind of almost stands up a little bit straighter and he has a different demeanor and gate. It's it's an incredible like switch there. Can you tell me a little bit about. How did you did you purposely. Sort of change. The way this character was once he stopped drinking. "Didn't. I didn't know i didn't well. How did it feel in that. Two thousand nineteen season to arrive at every race knowing that you had a chance of winning or at least a podium that bottom was not really my head's awareness winning winning only winning. But i knew we had pushing. Etf winning every races of methodist was obviously extremely strong. And probably a stronger than as. That's yeah but i. I knew that there was probably an opportunity to win any anyway so it was good. I mean it felt amazing. I mean ferrari first opportunities to win. it was very exciting. Did the success almost come to quickly not willing to quickly nervous. Who quickly leads. You appreciate it how hard it is to get to that point at the time knowing what you know now after twenty twenty and the difficult start that you had in twenty one years came quickly but i think is different ones. You live because you can see every steps you have done in your career. How they've paid off just feels a lot slower. Once you live so from the outside it might seem very quick and obviously looking back. It is very quick because in my second year design with ferrari and fighting for wins. And this is incredible. It was an incredible opportunity but on the other hand wants you live at once. You leave your career. I know so how much work i've done before. That encountering in single seater than in my first year of formula one is not always been easy. And there's also been very difficult moments but Yeah once lit you. You feel while you see two looks lower. It's interesting now. Let's talk about the two victories that year in very different circumstances i'm sort it sort of reminds you of a bad moment but of course that whole small weekend was such a rollercoaster for everybody. Let alone you with. Antoine's death in informally sell. The car wins prayed. He's what he saw when you look back at that whole can now. Would you think it's very difficult very very difficult. Because on one hand. I've lost a friend with which i've raced in karting. I can remember my first ever important traits which was a frenchman. Sheep onto one hundred. One we were we were with esteban and yes obviously on the saturday. It was a big shock once. We've all learned that has passed away and this is probably the image that all keep from this weekend. I didn't enjoy as much as i shall. Have these first win for that reason. Obviously yeah it was just a very strange weaken on one hand. Just like i've when i've lost my father in baku in formula too. I think it's always nice to just prove yourself that you can perform in those very difficult moments. The main point that. I take out of this weekend's he's just a the pain that i hide inside me as a person to to lose a friend into a father. When did you mourn the loss of your friend. Because you can't have had time with that weekend and then of course monza the following weekend did it take a while to sort of i think the week after was the the funerals and these kind of made me realize the whole thing because once you are in the heat of the moment we the racing also. Obviously you realized that you've lost a friend but on the other hand you i was trying at my best to try and think about my race to try and because i still was starting the sunday import position for race and i still had to go and try to win it so i hope to be on it so it was very difficult to preparation until the sunday and try to stay to stay focused. But i'll say the funeral. Then i i kind of accepted The loss and and try to not to forget it. I hate to say forgets but to try and and keep it in my mind but in a in a more positive way how did his staff and of course you'll be hanky before him. Change your attitude to the sport. It never really changed for me. How come. I don't know. I can't explain racing is my passion is my life. It's always been my life. I'm i'm doing that since i am Since i am three and a half years old so since i'm very very young i probably didn't know when i was three and a half years old days was century. Sports probably realized it. At be later but i knew he touched one point. Four centuries spoiled things cooled. Happen by things could happen. Obviously speaking about jewish. I've realized it thinks it and of juice but for me it was. I mean every time i'm putting my helmets milem. No other things in life can bring me such a smile for me. The relationship with the sports this is. I'm happy whenever i put a helmet. I know that there's danger but on the other hand it's what makes me happy. So they are. They are no questions for me. Let's talk munzer full house. Mad to foresee cheering you on pressure lewis hamilton.

"Dan thought twenty fourteen. Yeah thousand four hundred. The warm-up was yeah like two thousand eight dollars you'll like so like that was that was the first first introduction to them. And when i heard that i had to listen to that saddam to state in our and everything from a dollar dream to you know like just yeah so yeah about i get i get which saying because lebanon is down and love yours translate bills it really showed his growth and shit for sure dreams is astounding to me play on words. But he's dead threes along where he was talking about. Saudi like this is the. That's ongo crazy about that. One m stand both and you get storytelling like dat in shot out to juice for the track make believe which is essentially a remix of stand to a certain degree because he shouted that out like mimicry tracks and you start getting into that type of storytelling bro. I mean it's unbelievable feeling and unbelievable five. That's kinda like what i tried to go for. On north carolina was like a field of like you know like you could be crazy how you can be crazy like in the way that they displayed it in a pin. You know they full story. It's almost like watching a movie without even having to watch any visuals to it. So that's yeah dream. Dreams was a great track. I remember listening to that. Soundcloud fifteen still listen to that shit is the gallo was just gonna say. Listen man i. I came out of the gate strong. I don't want you ought to think like you know that it's like that much better than all the other songs. I love j cole. He's got a very expansive and deep awesome discount for sure but for some reason bro. Just 'cause like it's the conway tribune in the lyrics for me and like the just like the way he tells the story bro like he's always a great storyteller but this one's like most of his stories are like from like like a triumphant munzer like like they always have like a good ending or like a twist or whatever this one like. It's just like so painful. Like like you can just hear it in his voice when he's like he's like man like i let nas down you know so that always stuck with me definitely.
