Almost six times with drivers are currently paying now by twenty twenty five suggest in the next four years is going to increase exponentially pepsi has stood by their offers. Saying that it's fair. And one of the bargaining units ratified the agreement before the strike But since striking that unit has struck down in supports renegotiating. I'm gonna ask a stupid question. So if the premiums are increasing by sixfold in the next four years a what are they increasing pay. No they're not just have like some notes here in the podcast outlined. They'll just they're paying about fourteen dollars a week right now for healthcare premiums by two thousand twenty five they'd be paying eighty one dollars. Okay so it's more than fifty dollars a month which isn't terrible right now. I mean. I don't know what their wages are But no it right now. They're paying less than fifty dollars but they would be paying eighty one dollars. A week is what. I'm getting at that. So so that's quite quite a three hundred dollar. Yeah so bonneau. Also told the times we shouldn't be paying for it in the first place. This is a multibillion dollar corporation. damn right tom. Damn right to come on the show. Tommy god damn right you gotta say this is where we're the employees your this giant three hundred dollars a month. Fuck you pepsico okay. The truck drivers also had the support of indiana state representative. Mike andre who added. They need to not raise the premium. Maybe in a few years it can revisit it again. But at this time there shouldn't be any reason why they're wanting to raise the premium especially coming from a multi billion dollar corporation in the middle of a global pandemic. Fuck you pepsico. Love a state rep getting involved. They shouldn't yeah. I'll mention this just again real quick in case y'all weren't paying attention a few episodes ago when we talked about the frito lay strike. Pepsico is d- largest globally distributed snack. Food company here in the us they make up about forty percent of all. Savory snacks Salt here in the us and thirty percent of non us market last year in two thousand twenty the pandemic year september. Someone last year of the happened. "Homes and hops at the homes and Hot Spot cast Studio sippin on some numbers Oktoberfest with Brock numbers. Hey, bro U, good. How are you? Wonderful. Thanks for having us. Thank you for coming. I'm super excited. I feel like it's been forever since I've been able to interact with number right? It's been a long time. It's been a minute and you know, certainly all of this covid-19 helped any of us in our know get out and mix up and socialize. No, definitely and I'm definitely going to get into that with you. But first I want to start an and this is this is the biggest thing about like the home stops whole idea of between the podcast first doing the videos is the fact that everybody's story takes a lot longer than five minutes and we all know that people when they watch videos they Trail off after 2 minutes and then it goes on and on until five minutes and then you're there typically out. And that's why I wanted to start the podcast because I do think the stories behind the Brewers are extraordinarily important and inspiring very inspiring. I don't know if ours inspiring but it's it's neat. It's Unique. So Jeremy and I my original business partner, we went to college together and played football together pledge the same fraternity wage and when you're done with that pledge process things weren't as politically correct then as they are now we're going to date ourselves a little bit, but that's all right so that they're going to do a roll number and that roll number granted you a certain level of seniority. So it you know, we handed out chores on the weekend if if I pulled off the floor and I wanted to do the dishes if the guy that got do the dishes had a lower row dumber than me. I could call numbers and switch him drawers. Wow, you know if we were going into town To get a drink or to buy beer for the weekend. We could say numbers you drive. I'm not driving. That's awesome. So something that that we heard in that period of Our Lives. No joke probably three hundred times a day. Where did you go to school? Bethany College? That is that's a smaller College here, isn't it? Yeah, Bethany's probably an hour and half from where we're sitting right now about a thousand students private school. What were what was your major sports management and I ended up falling up with business administration because the the Penguins weren't really as excited to hire me as an agent as I thought they should be now. They they definitely miss their opportunity on that one. But so business administration though is extremely important. I actually wish I would have probably had a minor was a political science major so really as they joke the BS major out of all the other Sciences, but but I do wish that I would probably would have taken some off. Horses anything along the business line. So that's that's extremely important but getting back to the numbers if you will, I'm assuming that's where the name of the brewery from. That's where the name came from it it meant something to us and rang a bell to some people that were important to us. It was catchy enough and it allowed us to name beers relatively simple. So we'd we didn't consider ourselves marketing Geniuses by any means but was pretty easy to correlate a number to a beer. So that's true. A lot of I would say at this point. Ninety 6% of our beers have some sort of correlation to a number. Okay. A lot of those numbers are as generic as that number meant something to us and we hadn't used it yet. But oh it also makes sense. So it's not necessarily so when you go to numbers, there is the screen that had that split up with all the different numbers with the with the beer that's associated with it. So those numbers aren't like in which job Probably after beer too. I probably was like, hey, wait a second. Those are in in numerical order. So, you know the 8th witbier was wage assigned wholeheartedly exclusively for my wife. She challenged us to take a few of her favorite beers and and combine them into one. So it's the number eight would-be or because it was her favorite number one start brewing. I would say we got serious about Brewing 2009-2010. Okay. I had gone on to India for my day job. Okay and ended up going to three Floyds. I love Three Floyds. They do some fantastic mirror off some of the best I've ever had of different styles. And this is a very locally it's a brewery in I believe Munster Indiana. Oh, wow. Okay, cool. They do some really cool things. They're really unique dog. And they have some big Flagship beers that people in the Youngstown area pay big money to get really what are some of these Flagship beer Zombie Dust. Oh, I've have heard of that wage. Yeah. So zombie has has their big Flagship and then they do gumballhead and Alpha King and their their strange very comic-book very wage. If you ever go there they play be level horror flicks on all the oh wow, and all the big screens and it's fun, you know, as you can see, I'm fairly tattooed and I'm not tattooed enough to work their job, but it was but I spent $70 on two bottles of beer. Oh, wow. How big were the bottles are they just normal? They were 22-ounce bombers and well, at least it's bigger than her sixteen-ounce Jeremy. I was so excited to try that beer and so excited that I got my hands on it and it was terrible. Oh no, and excuse me fellas if any off From from three floods and a pair this but you know, I love their product and and those particular beers were just so disappointing and I don't even remember what they were is this when you utilize the the the on tap tap? Yeah, absolutely and they probably already know what you say problem. I don't even think we would have even said anything other than to your rate the stars, but it was kind of inspirational. We adjust started to play around brewing and it was kind of like hey if if what we consider to be the best in the business could make a beer that wasn't fantastic and it's still solid and people are still excited to buy it just like we were that maybe it was worth giving it a shot. So we started really seriously around that time. We set up a time you looking back and it elaborate setup in my basement and complete with a lab and night we went all in and we would brew and every other weekend and log Have parties and we invited our friends and family and we asked them to try our beer and give us honest feedback and to bring a six-pack of their favorite beer and would ask them to kind of tell us why that wage favorite beer and what they liked about it and what they didn't like about it or what they liked or didn't like about ours for someone with no background and Market that is exactly market research that needs to be done and you did it in such a way that you actually you worked smarter not harder for it. It was pretty awesome. So we did that for probably three years and and everybody when I say everybody is people that were close to us, but they you guys should do this. You should try this you should so we you know started formulating that plan. I actually bought the building and Lisbon in 2014, and it took that long, you know, we didn't open the doors until 2016. So how long did it take place? To find the right building we searched for a while. We actually kind of lucked out we had we had bought a building in East Liverpool and there was some Redevelopment going on down there and one of the redevelopers needed that piece of property for what is now a high-rise apartment high-rise for East Liverpool. Yes, you know an apartment complex and our building is part of their parking lot and we did we did well on that real estate transaction. Luckily. I worked out and our our other business partners, you know, Nate and Julie decided that they really wanted to see it in Lisbon. There was a lot going on in Lisbon at that time as far as the drilling and you know the days and was always full and there was nothing, you know, nothing comparable. So I lucked out found a building and started renovation processes. Like I said about 2014 and at that time the influx of new breweries in, Ohio. Particular took a long time to get through the government paperwork and actually get the doors open. Yeah,.

"Getting new experiences and something that you never would've? Dreamed of if you stayed in that box. Yeah. Totally and You know exactly where we are I, think that a great read for anybody listening in really like diving into this is called the big leap and we're talking about taking a leap and being at that threshold and and what you were sharing was about when we're in our career that we've chosen because we think it's going to be the best option for us and we're really good at like good student good athlete competitive. You know how to get the a you know how to follow directions. Zone of excellence bright were really good. Were excellent at doing those things, but it's not the zone of genius. Like are true in nate genius and so what do you like just in hearing the difference between those two? Like how are you now living in your zone of genius? I really like that I because it was a good student, I loved being evaluated and being tested But when you say you're in that mindset, you're living in a world of just comparing yourself to other people. And I, think when you get out of that mindset of What you're capable of that's when things completely open up again when I was an audiologist I was I have to hit the sales goal. Let's just. Focused on hitting this arbitrary thing that's been set for me rather than. Again the sky being the limit of of what I'm. Capable of yeah. Yeah, and it's really beautiful. Something else that you were saying about. The I call it adulting one. Oh, one. Once we do it out of school and we believe that okay, this is it. We have the lifestyle long attitude about career and I think that you know you're from Munster Indiana I'm from Whiting Indiana I personally think it's like mid West mindset right and although I I'm finding out like it's obviously it's all over the world is that's just an outdated. Would have to stay in a certain lifestyle or lifestyle also career. So now you were talking about your Diet and you also you promote how it's different like diet like fad diet verse says true healthy lifestyle tell us about the difference between those two. So I think that that short-term mindset is something that a lot of us fall into with everything you know get rich quick. Pounds in five days you know really. Both of them really unsustainable ways of hitting your goals most of the women that I've worked with have been on that diet roller coaster over and over and over and over again, and they're done because they. Want that quick-fix they want that short-term excitement that we get when we do something that's too extreme. So I really try to promote. And the idea that consistency doesn't always mean perfection because again I got everybody does it. But especially when we get in our heads that we're going to adhere to this diet and if I stray from it I've ruined everything and that's a very short term mindset. You know your life isn't a series of seven days or thirty day challenges it is your entire life. So a really try to teach women that again eight they have control completely over how they treat their bodies. But if they decide to treat their bodies by having an ice cream Sunday, that's okay too in that long-term mindset of. Being consistent versus being perfect. That makes it. It totally does..

"Just tweeted this multiple NFL teams made inquiries on north western coach, Pat, all inquiries me. But he Jim Brian Harlin FitzGerald said he will not be a candidate for any NFL openings, including the pack thought he made that clear at the end of the wonderful holiday bowl. I think that's what coaches do on that stage. And then a lot of times they'll change their mind with him. You know, he's got it made. He's the king of Evanston and beyond. They love him, and he loves them. And like you say is one of the most perfect sports. Marriages of all time, he can go seven and six and no one's going to say anything next year or bad years where you can go, you know, ten and two and will once again be you know, which will probably be this. Do they went how many games do? They win this year nine was this nine with a bowl win was at nine something like that. Yeah. I mean, they're always going to go to a ball game. I think because there are thirty four bulk one like fifteen sixteen or fourteen out of fifteen big rally in a game like that. And come back and convert to fourth and ten great. It's the perfect sports marriage. It really is they call you and say we're interested in the coach of Aaron Rodgers in the Green Bay Packers. So listen, you don't you can always go back to your can't, you know, that's more headaches. And it's worth at this point in Green Bay. And you're gonna have Aaron Rodgers telling you to go take a hike, and you know, I love fits a love him as much as I love Vic Fangio, which is a lot. He's he's the greatest guy in the world. But he's kind of rough for the pros. I think and I think a lot of players would say, hey, back off, man. I mean, but a lotta Brad Stevens. Oh, he's the Butler coach he. Listen to him. He's really an exception to my argument. He really is look I mean, I would never begrudge him for wanting to at least listen, but I I don't know that it gets any better than exactly what for your standard north. There was a two time. All american. Yeah. You know, I mean, he's and you're actually coaching people you're teaching you don't have to deal with divas egos. Like, you have the perfect Jim Phillips is as good as there isn't a league. The shooting. Hero as as I mean. Yes, they I mean, they just building four hundred million dollar the entire sports. Green Bay's got I know probably get another raise after all making over three million dollars a year. Evanston, bigger than Green Bay. He's thirty two thousand. Bigger. And I I just to me it's the perfect sports marriage. And I'm glad to hear that he's going to stay. Reinforced think it works. Yeah. Rick Zils of Munster, Indiana was caller fifty three. He is qualified for the bears tickets against the eagles, courtesy of niller lines to call him doubles, e maybe would you call zoos on zoos. He's still he's been.
