"Video stream make sure you stop by glad to have you along for the ride. Was cool having Betsy DeVos on cheese, the secretary of education. She is in the cabinet in the Trump administration. It's always a pleasure to have somebody like that on. And the Michigan connection is big by the way, the rest of your stations in Michigan. I know all of you. And I love all of you. I was just talking about the ones that are in the area of Michigan from from which the DeVos family emanates. And again hearing devices always been positive. I don't know. I don't know how it'd be negative suddenly because became the education secretary and Kerry I've often wondered. Why not let her be good or bad? I mean, that's an idea right on January twentieth. Two thousand nine I wasn't looking to how I could criticize Obama. I actually said, and I I reported this many times since on this very show clean slate. Let's go. Let's see what he does. And and as he did what he did. I disagreed with ninety eight percent of what he did. I thought he was a very bad president, policy wise. But when he got it, right? I said he got it. Right. But a media remember like he was named. And she decided let me go to school and go make announcement. And here's the education secretary. Whereas Arne Duncan who is a radical leftist socialist idiot who promoted and push the promise program, which actually led to the murders at MSG high school in parkland, Florida when he would show up they couldn't wait to play basketball with them. But when when Betsy DeVos showed up she had a good trying to go through the back door and protesters you're still blocking her a lot hate. What exactly where the blocking her from doing? She couldn't go speak to students. She's the education secretary for God's sakes. It does it just doesn't make sense the the immediate and free. Planned hate is. What makes me crazy, look if you've got a problem with the policy, the Donald Trump puts across ROY something that he tweets or says, that's appropriate. That makes sense. If you've got a problem with the fact that he exists that he's not Hillary Clinton that doesn't make sense. And makes you look like an idiot about idiots. There's a picture that James woods, very tight James Jimmy, and I very very close. But also follow me on Twitter. No know, could you could you said he a private direct message Twitter. I'm sure so Jimmy sends out this picture people who know him calling Jimmy woods. Actually what we're just hanging out by the campfire. We call him Jimmy in the woods. Just now. You've never Jimmy would by the campfire. No. You haven't either. Now, I've thought about it. Hello that you have not Hello. So James look at a picture, and there is Andrew Cuomo signing the Bill in New York. With a big smile on his face and is a woman sitting next to with a big smile on his on her face. And then there are other people behind them mainly women smiling as well. And carried me, I know that you've got a whole story. And then we'll give you that. If you don't mind, but this this does allow partial birth abortion, doesn't it? Yes. Okay. If you don't mind give the story from CBS, New York state has enacted strong new legal protections for abortion rights. The new law signed by governor Andrew Cuomo in Tuesday's safeguards rights laid out in Roe v. Wade and other court rulings, including a provision permitting, late term abortions. When a woman's health is endangered at the state's previous law, which have it on the books for nearly fifty years only permitted abortions after twenty four weeks of pregnancy. If a woman's life was at risk going to Cuomo celebrated the passing of the Bill and democrat led Senate and assembly on Tuesday, which happened to be the forty six th anniversary of the road decision and the face of a federal government intent on rolling back Roe v. Wade and women's reproductive rights. I promised we would enact this critical legislation within the first thirty days. Of the new session. And we got done Cuomo said in a statement interactive state landmarks like the spire of world one World Trade Center to be lit up in pink to quote shine. A bright light forward for the rest of the nation to follow. We're saying here in New York women's lives matter, we're saying here in New York women's decisions matter Senate majority leader Andrea Stewart cousins said Sarah, wedding, ten the Texas attorney who successfully argued row before supreme court was that Cuomo aside when he signed a reproductive health act into law. A new law moves the section of state law dealing with version from the penal code to health statues and also authorizes midwives and physician assistants to perform some abortions. CBS news, New York reports abortion rights supporters pushed for years update the law. Democrats gained control the state Senate this year, the act became easier to pass in both chambers. Supporters said the election of President Donald Trump and the nomination. Of conservative justices helped galvanize efforts to pass this law. Wow. The reports from from New York, we're that they applauded in the chamber when he signed it. So thinking. Now, if I if I heard you, right? In New York. You could have gotten abortion up to twenty four weeks after twenty four weeks. You couldn't rank and now you can yes. Now, you're saying the mother's life has to be in danger. Right. So what's to stop somebody who believes vehemently an abortion, who's a doctor, and you shouldn't be able to be called a doctor? If you do abortions, in my opinion, but that's just me which to stop that doctor from saying well, clearly the woman's what life was in danger. I mean, my grandmother. Had h. Having a baby is the closest thing to death. You ever have in your life. Imagine passing the biggest watermelon you ever saw. And I she said passing probably said the word. Because she just did that was that was informing Joey what it's like to give birth to a child the picture. So let me just sit back and pontificate on this for a second. Because if that literally is what it feels like. Couple of things come to mind. That's one of the reasons why God never had men have the ability to do it because we couldn't even look. The second thing that comes to mind is if I'm a doctor who loves abortion, I can make a case that any pregnancy is putting the woman's life at risk could night. I suppose you could. Yeah. I mean any pregnancy other than like a disease or like an accident? This is a medical trauma to the body. When you go through this thing. I think it's a slippery slope. I think this opens up now the ability for abortionists and people who love exterminating unborn children to just say. Oh, yeah. I know it's thirty six weeks and the child is definitely viable, but we should start to deliver the child and kill it. Which is what partial birth abortion is. And and people cheered. And what it tacky thing to have the prosecutor from Texas in the Roe v. Wade case when we know that the original plaintiff row who's now died, and he was carrying something I've forgotten, but we know that she spent the rest of her life. As one of the most pro-life advocate you'll ever find. I'm gonna make that upright. I mean, the woman who brought this case changed sides. So why would you have the prosecutor sitting it when I saw that picture that JJ Jimmy woods posted JJ Jimmy. This is it's a cute thing. We do around the campfire cute. Enjoying some ginger ale. "To the website, also ablaze radio network. It's the weekend with joepags. Glad to have you here. Really glad to have back. The father of meadow it is Andrew policy lost meadow. Last year eleven months ago now at MSG high school in parkland, Florida, there's been a lot of changes caused by Andrew Pollock positively for our students our teachers those who need to be protected while on campus. Andy appreciate you. How are you? Arrogant. Pretty good job doing a lot of traveling throughout the state just trying to make sure kids are safe and a teachers I'm doing what I can do it on my daughter you've done amazing work. And I know that you're making her proud. There's so much. That's changed since we talked and we talked like a month ago. I mean, it wasn't that long ago. This antithesis now the governor good we wanted him. We pushed for him. He has made a move on Scott, Israel, the is can we call him the former sheriff now because the people are reporting these been suspended, but he's always been replaced, right? Yeah. He's been replaced. And I think it goes if he wants he goes through the Senate where the Senate is going to have anything to do with this guy. You know, how incompetent years and how arrogant, right? I don't think it's any chance with the Senate in Florida the way that the officers or the sheriff's deputies were responding had to be speeded the leader that had come down from him. His leadership sucked the the SRO. There was an absolute joke who is a deputy under Scott, Israel and Israel's response and his reaction afterwards. I she said it was era Ghent, it was narcissistic it was weird. And in this guy really proved that he probably should never have had the job for the beginning. You worked hard on that fr from the past hold eleven months. I think you would have worked with him had he shown a little bit of compassion. But the guy didn't do any of that. Did you really think that you would you'd get to the place to where he has the job? Well, it started months ago when I got behind the governor disastrous campaign he ran on on accountability. And when I heard him speak at the Lincoln day dinner in Fort Lauderdale that's talked about. And that's why I'm Ron Ron doesn't win that election. We didn't all get behind him. Oh, this doesn't happen. There's no accountability. And Browett Gillam would have had a parade which sheriff Israel down the middle of Fort Lauderdale. They would've had a parade together. Runcie would have been on the float. Yeah. Raunchy would have been on the front while waving his promise program. Nelia? Israel's gone Scott Peterson has gone. He tried to get that lawsuit thrown out that didn't work. So you still have the wrongful death lawsuit against him. Who's the other guy? Medina. He tried to get what was his position at the school, eighty Philipson. So first of all we had that hearing yesterday. My mom was great my mom showed up, and my my wife was there at the hearing and Medina is that monitor that sexually harassed the girls a year before one was my daughter, and it's interesting because Craig Nicholls who went against the confessional standards committee that recommended Andrew Medina be fired. Craig Nicholls who was once Runcie's HR guy overruled just gave Medina a three day suspension. So he resigned now Joe Nichols. Medina's was. Yes. But not only was it Peterson Joe at at the school. It was about eight deputies. Boils down to. The sheriff protocol that he changed that a lot of people don't know about in Broward County sheriff Israel changed protocol from the the deputy may go in every other probably department in the country. It says shout ship changed may which his deputies could have just been following his policy, but not going in the building that day and save those kids. So it was his policy that sailed those children that day. It's it's Andy Pollack losses daughter meadow. In at MSG highschool. He's been working as hard as anybody. I've ever seen to to right this wrong. And bring Justice I know that you're honoring your daughter's memory the memory of the other sixteen who died that day. What's interesting is a and I'm very familiar with Coral Springs, Florida. I never heard of parkland before this, and I actually did a lot of work in Coral Springs. It's such a small place parkland. But the Coral Springs officers any didn't they show up and do the right thing that was the difference from from deputy sheriff to police was so strange to me. I was. I didn't go through everything until we saw them reports. Yeah. But in that building Joe, they ran past these Broward sheriff deputies and a lot of them. I'm friendly with them, we became friends and were affected to this day. One guy, I'm friends with Assange and ended up retiring. Well course. Just the fact that I'm so much looking in that building that he he's on the road with his kids in an RV traveling. God bless him. Some other deputies that went through the building friends with their sick to their stomachs about this. What they witnessed when they pulled up on that building. It's Andrew Pollock. Of course, he lost his daughter meadow, you've been active working so hard to fix it. Hashtag fix it a used that every time you tweet anything about school safety, you're on this board. Or what is this board called that? You're on now. On the port education to the state of flow, your vacation, I thought you're on the Safety Board of some sort. It's actually the board of education education. Governor Scott now Senator Scott appointed me about a week ago and Ron had to approve it to governor. So he approved it and I'm looking forward to working with everyone on that. What we had our first meeting yesterday. Good good bunch of people. And I'm going to bring to the sport safety. You know, what could is education. If your kid doesn't come home at the end of the day like who cares about the great at the school? If he doesn't come home so school safety. I take it very important. It's very important to me. And I'm going to be able to look at these recommendations that came out recently from and also the president just had a commission recommend. I wanna see how we can implement them across the state and make our school safer. Any of you figured out your most private moments? What exactly the the opposing side is up to how can? Anybody argue that our kids should come home after they go to school. How can anybody argue that it shouldn't have happened last year, and it was absolutely avoidable? There are five six seven eight ten different levels that this guy got past that he never should have gotten past. Have you ever figured it out to say, well, at least I understand where they're coming from. Because I can't get. Joe, I if you could figure it out, I don't get it either joke because I'm fighting like from the get-go I said, look, let's just let's put the gun to pay assigned. Okay. We can all agree on that. We want our kids safe at the school. You know, we want the single entry points. We want the properly trained guards at the square. We want them healthcare. All these things we want us to make our kids safe. And there's people out there that wired so differently than us. They can't control themselves. They have to make it a gun control debate. And I don't want to go there obstruction Pelosi's to Schumer other people on the when they bring the gun debate it they're obstructing keeping kids safe. And it pisses me the hell, and I don't blame you when you were sitting next to the president you right to his right hand. How series is he about doing something about this promise program that promises nothing except that our kids are in safe. Joe he did the greatest thing that anyone could ever do that the mainstream media didn't cover. Okay, he actually rescinded those Obama era policies that aid and unsafe environment for our children, and our teachers, but the media didn't come. Know. And it's so important to me that now there's going to be no crushes on schools out there. In these programs. So he put an end to it. And I thanked them from the bottom of my heart. And so did all the other families that most kids and parkland Robert Runcie gets to continue as the superintendent because the school board there remained left and remained stupid to be honest with you what else can you do can be done about a guy who was celebrating the promise program after this massacre happened Joe, the governor said it really good in his inauguration speech. He called it a social experiment what they brought with. Because it started in Broward. You know, the whole story mardi Dunkin education secretary, so Runcie growth that social experiment. The governor calls it, and that experiment. Got my daughter killed what he brought the brow and the other victims. So we're gonna put an end to it. The governor knows what's going on with it the Commissioner the education Commissioner of. The state of Florida knows about it. And we're going to see what we can do at a local level. But each each local, governor governments. Dangerous control everything it's really hard. It's like they're all little they're all little country that they haven't Browett, but I'm gonna work. I'm working you little by little chipping away at the sheriff. We took the sheriff out and little by little I'm working different avenues to help. Make the kids and teachers say for Brown because we got a few bureaucrats that arranged charge that adults take white bonded. Like we do. They're wired differently at one point. And it's Andrew Pollock losses. Daughter meadow. At parkland in parkland, Florida at MSG high school at one point you were going to pack up and leave the state and just just go in and take a breath. You're in the middle of this, man. You are the like the guy with the gloves on your in the fight. And I'm glad that you're still on on on board in Florida Florida's such an important state and the rest of the country. Obviously, I think we'll follow suit. Once we see the safety measures that are put in place. Are you dedicated to stay right where you are you're on the school board? Now, you're working hand in hand with the governor with the with the new. Senator what's the plan? I will we see you for years to come fighting. This fight. Yeah. Joe? My biggest fight right now is to put an end to that social experiment that Robert Runcie grow to Broward County, though because it creates an unsafe environment for every kid and teacher in the country. You know, we're losing teachers left and right. It's not just close the page. Oh, it's also because of the environment that ABI and not safe in the classrooms with no respect the plea. They don't have to respect the police officers. They don't respect the teachers. Right in Broward. So I'm on a mission for kids that kids like me, and you should have ice than these kids that Iraq these at risk dysfunctional criminals that go to school. You know, I'm not saying, let's not take care of him. Right. There's a certain. You know, we wanna do the right thing for these kids, but we need to have an alternative plan. Then just not holding them accountable. They need to the needs to be somewhat of a medium where we could help these kids and not sacrifice arcades that just want to go there and learn and the teachers that wanna teach so well said and so smart anti go and follow him at Andrew Pollock NFL on on Twitter re tweet and like everything that he tweets out put in hashtag fix. It. Also, follow his son hunter Pollack think. It's hunter I think is is what his name is on Twitter. Follow these guys because they're not playing around there in this to make sure your kid goes to school gets a great education becomes a productive American that enjoys this life of liberty and freedom, and they don't face the barrel of a gun or a knife or a bad guy. Well on campus. I appreciate everything you do man. I'm honored to have you as a friend and keep up the hard work always here. And you know, what you've been there from the beginning with me, and we're going to keep fighting to make this school. Stay for their. Kids, and the teachers spent look we're going to get away from those policies that social experiment, and we're going to create a better environment for every kid in the whole country. One hundred percent believe you, Andy, thanks a million, my friend. We'll talk soon. Back after this in the Joe pags show. Stay right here. San antonio.
