Final Season (MM #3986)

"The NASA minute. With Kevin mason over the last 24 to 48 hours, the Internet has been freaking out just a little bit. Because some of their favorite television shows have announced the final seasons are coming near. Stranger Things getting ready to release season four has announced a two part season four and then season 5 and that's it. Now when we see season 5, I don't know because we haven't even seen season four yet, but everybody's freaking out. It's going to be ending. Same thing with The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon. They announced the next season or is it the third season? I don't know. I don't watch. Well, it's going away. That'll be it and of course, because it's so popular. Everybody's freaking out there. And then Donald Glover announces his TV show on FX, Atlanta will be ending with its fourth season. The one thing for these shows, while I love them, they're so sporadic. I never know when they're coming. I know I watched Stranger Things when it first came out. Misses maisel don't watch it, don't care and Atlanta, love the first season, not so much the second season and well. I'm not sure if I'm going to go back and watch again. A lot of people's TV viewing habits going to be changing all because their favorite shows are going away.

"One. Kimberly johnson who i've never heard of. But she has got seventy seven thousand followers. She is apparently the host of the start. Me up paycock podcast and the sexy liberal podcast network So i i find that amusing. She writes it's time for the washington post to stop allowing traders like hewitt spread propaganda and misinformation packaged as conservative opinion. She's reacting to my column in the washington post which went up on the landing page yesterday after the show. Is it time for dr patchy to step aside. This has touched nerves on the far left. I don't know why. But i have a theory. My theory is pretty simple. Dr chee is not a public health official in there is he is a brave hero against donald trump now dot not dr vouch e throughout the first year of covet. Dr chee was part of the covet response team. I know there's very well. 'cause i know a lot of people on the code response team very very well including ambassador. O'brien alex as our in peter. Navarro and many many people very well on that team and doctor thought was a respected and productive member of the team doctor. Fawzi opposed the travel ban from china. Dr she wanted to tell the noble lie. That mask were not helpful because doctor was afraid. That masks would vanish from the ers and hospitals. Where they were necessary. It's actually the opposite of what. Americans did touching mrs hewitt for example. Took every mask. We have in the house as a matter of routine preparedness in california and drove them to the local hospital where they were ninety five match. Because that's what americans do. And so dr has consistently underestimated what americans doing gets it wrong. And while he does not run the cdc or fdi pointed out. There are thirteen families there that are never going to get to see their children against the we have to remember that as americans zaveri high-cost and not only those thirteen people. The over seven thousand lives that were lost during this twenty year war and the depending on the data that you look at the anywhere from thirty to one hundred thousand one hundred thousand suicides that have gone on because of ptsd in unrelated issues from the war. "I'm up with very little sleep this morning because we had a blast. Last night i came out to california with the fetching. Mrs hewitt so that we could celebrate with three hundred of his closest friends and staff family. Admirers donors supported governor. Pete wilson's career. Originally we had scheduled this at the nixon foundation at the nixon library. And your belinda. For the thirtieth anniversary of. Pete wilson governor of california in nineteen ninety-one and of course the virus got away to postpone it to april and then we postpone it until last night which was serendipitous from the perspective of the fetchy. Mrs hewitt i as we met for the first time on the same time i met. Pete wilson for the first time. That a pete wilson fundraiser at mission bay hosted by the san diego young republicans in one thousand nine hundred seventy eight. What behind the ears. Ohio kid thinking no. This is a pretty good place. Look at all these cute girls in that went over there. And pete wilson was working the crowd the only campaign out at ten. He went ten eleven and the one that he lost was the one that i won. Because he had an event which. I met the fetchy mrs hewitt but we worked with bob wide. His longtime chief of staff and the room was full and rocking yesterday. Great reception the governor was there. Mrs wilson wilson is a star people who live in washington. Dc new gail from people's time in the senate remember peak is a marine yearly. But we be leftover that he's a marine enlisted became. An officer is older brother. Let him there as listed managed that you know break. You're on if you joined the marines. And pete did anyway right out of jail after that law school after that. Advance work for a young richard nixon running for california governor in nineteen sixty two. That didn't work out. Well for president nixon but eventually it did for the country and for president nixon pete went and became an assemblyman then. He became the mayor of san diego for twelve years. Then it became the united states. Senator for eight years and then he became the governor of california for your great governor is a great senator largely responsible along with dan. Quayle and ronald reagan for the passage of star wars sti which many credit with the collapse of the soviet union. Finally governor wilson was just in federal. He doesn't change that age. He's the same guy and there is a tribute videos. Very funny thing. They can either be terrible or great. This was great

How Thirsty Was the FBI for Michael Sussman's False Trump-Russia Claims?

"Just to kind of sum up where we are now. This break in the SPI geh case on Friday was important because it shows Hillary Clinton working with the FBI and a group of attorneys to fake these connections between Trump and Russia. And it shows an FBI more than willing to take the information in and eager and looking for an excuse to get in front of a judge and say it was real and the problem is, they kept flooding the zone. Hillary Clinton, with all of these sources say Trump's colluding with Russia whatever, and they kept telling the FBI they were working with the DNC and Hillary And it created a problem for the FBI because they couldn't tell a judge that So they needed a clean source. They needed a white knight to come in there. Someone clean as the driven snow with a clean C B. Oh, no, no. These people are just in here to tell us about Trump. They have no ulterior motives whatsoever. How do we know that? Because we know On September 19th of 2016 this white knight showed up. According to the allegations, the FBI and the indictment on Friday Michael Sussman, who is a lawyer working with Mrs Clinton, this is why I'm telling you, it's a bigger deal than you think. This guy is connected to everyone. There's no way John Door, um, locked him up for nothing. So he comes into the FBI office. And he says, I have information about Trump colluding with Russia. And according to the allegation, he says, Oh, I'm not working with anybody. I'm not here on behalf of any client. I'm just here giving you potential information about a criminal conspiracy. And the FBI is like yes, finally. Finally The FBI is like this is just great. We gotta sources clean. We can put his information down in a fight application. We can spy on Trump and we won't have to lie and tell a judge, you know, uh, cover up for Hillary Clinton or anything like that. So, it says. In the end I and the FBI's press release that suspects showed up September 19th 2016. Why is this suspicious? Because you learn later on If you watch my show today, the podcast you learn right now on the radio show. If you read the Inspector General Michael Horowitz report who looked at this entire story. There's a really interesting nugget in there again. Hat tip. Our friend full Nelson on social media is all over this stuff. Here it is. Remember, I want you to pay attention to something right here. The date The lawyer walks in. The FBI office is September 1920 16, where he meets with the FBI. And this is their clean source. Finally. They've been hearing all summer about Trump and the Russians and all the sources are dirty. They're telling people that working for Hillary, this is the one guy who said according to the indictment. No, no, I'm not working for anyone. They felt like they had it. How do I know the FBI is in on this? What I think. Let me read to you a piece of this footnote here. From the Horowitz report. The only express direction. We found that Andrew McCabe, who was the deputy director at the time gave regarding the use of a confidential human source concerned. A former confidential human source who contacted an FBI agent FBI Field office in late July. 2016 to report information from a colleague runs an investigative firm hired by two entities, the DNC as well as another individual to explore Donald Trump's long standing ties to Russian entities. So in of this part, one of the footnote, McCabe, the deputy director of the FBI knows that people are piling into FBI offices as early as July of 2016 who are working for Hillary and the DNC. Got it. Okay. Moving on. Good footnote goes on. The former confidential human source also gave the FBI agent a list of individuals and entities who surfaced in the firm's examination of Trump, which the former CHS described as mostly public source material. In mid September. 2016 Andrew McCabe told senior Special Agent one to instruct the FBI agent from the field office not to have any further contact with the former confidential human source and not to accept any information regarding the crossfire. "I kind of wish my step in there like dean like get your crap together you know. It's not getting wasted and going to parties and trying to make out with girls. I kinda messed up. And i mean if i think that happened i think that My relationship life would've turned around a little earlier and i. It's funny to say. But i don't think podcasts ever would have sprung up if that were the case not to say that like you know i dating because none of my friends ever stepped up and said anything to me but i do think there. Especially at the age of twenty two. Like you are super impressionable. You have a lot to learn really. Nobody likes you. When you're twenty two or twenty three right listen Listen swift. And i think that's blink one eighty-two right. Nobody likes you three right. What's the song terrorist things about age. I think it's like fifteen anyways. That's beyond the point. My point is twenty two as a young enough age to where you're allowed to make mistakes but you're not you shouldn't be vilnai's for calling your friends out for making those mistakes especially like if you have the maturity to call them out for them like i think one of the reasons. None of my friends called me out. And what i call my friends out for it was because we all lacked the maturity so like if we had maybe like mature friend or to have like. Hey like this isn't right. We've just got word from rally that it was t- swift sings fifteen. So i was only seven years off. I was just about to say dean. Is this going to sound familiar. I don't know about you. But i'm seeing lynn. Twenty two. that was terrible. That's what it is. Yes okay thank you. Thank you jerod. I knew i wasn't that okay. I appreciate that twenty two. And hey i'm blake. I'm a big blink. One eight two fan so a little that miss that reference but anyways There's no shame calling your friends out for that. I personally like wouldn't be mad at you for separating yourself from your friends that are making those bad decisions because at the end of the day. It's like they're probably gonna make those bad decisions towards your friendship at some point so you have every right to to say something and then if the need to separate yourselves as friends comes about. I think that's totally find it. Here's a question i have for you. So anonymous ends emailing us about her friend. Do you think anonymous should go to the boyfriend and say listen. I love my friend. You can't keep doing this to her. Yeah that's really a question. I think she should go to the friend. I.

"May be in the waning days of summer. But they're still plenty to do and as we do most fridays. We are getting some recommendations for arts and culture events. This weekend brendan kiley. Covers arts and culture for the seattle times. Brendan welcome back. Hi thanks so much for having great to have you okay. Your first pick is for a campy lounge show we like camps and we like lounge so tell us more about this right so it's called. Mrs pacman breakout. It's at the west hall of the century ballroom on capitol hill and it runs Thursday through sunday and The character is based on the iconic eighties video game character. Miss pacman by this fantastic comedy actor. Scott shoemaker who anthropomorphized her But made her sort of a bitter and angry trainwreck. Oh that's hilarious brennan. I used to ride miss pacman for like forty five minutes on a single quarter. I'm giving myself away there. But i want i which she can't be a train wreck. She's miss pacman. Well i'm impressed by your video. Game skills But yeah the ideas that she peaks in the eighties and has been cratering ever since and now. She's trying to resuscitate her career as a lounge act. But she's a mess you know she sings. She dances sometimes begrudgingly. But what she really wants to do. Is tell us confessional stories about her divorce in her pill problems her affairs her wreckage and there is a dose of schadenfreude in there which makes it feel like a bit of a guilty pleasure but his entertaining is that is. There's something else going on here. Who was all about cruelty and making fun of her. The show wouldn't work You know there's something relatable about her and her frustration with the world. I think if you ever feel like your life has been one long blooper reel or people aren't taking you seriously as you like. You have a friend in miss pacman.

He can trace the key. Logger can say exactly what you type in a hold on dan. You gave me a whole earful there. So you're saying my. I don't have apple i've gotta android because i'm cool and my charger. There's a key logger in the charger in no in. The cable is in the cable self. And i'm looking at one of these cables. It's about eighth of an inch thick. Hold on in my existing cable right now or is this something that aftermarket. He's got deep. He puts them in. He does he can. He can take your cable kitchen. He like cracking the flight. The cody stick. He's putting a crack in the cable inside the cable so that he can run a spyware on your machine by fi he can create a wi fi hotspot and get into your computer. I have no idea how that works. How would you do that. The cables only. He's putting he says he can put. I've seen a picture of the cable and seen a picture of the hardware he's going and i physically don't think it can happen. I mean if someone did do that they'd have to be within three hundred feet of your house to be able to do that and crack and get your password so You know the guys got this thing. Say that's going on. But i i'm i'm i don't look. Does he have to cut the court open an inserted he can cut the cord opening inserted and put it all back and i mean i can't take something out of a cardboard box and put it back the same way i i just. I don't know i'm i'm just calling bullshit on this. I don't think it's i haven't been able to find any body you know. There's about six sites that say it's happening and i haven't seen anybody say they couldn't do it so you think or hack. Yeah i think it's scat when you take the vcr and you get all those nice goodies out of it right. That's that's old school but yes what else go the touch. Id sensor on apple devices on your iphone your ipad. It measures both electrical capacity and uses radio frequency to terminate the finger pressed against the read. The reather is attached to a living person. So that means that you know if it means you know you see in the movie where they cut. Somebody's finger off and they stick it on the censor and it opens up the volvo right. Well you can't do that with you may be able to do it with one of these fancy security systems. What about your. I if you or your face where they do face recognition. If i get your face off. Dan can open up your phone. Yes well that was that. Was that movie with john. Travolta the faceoff movie but you know they say if you're gonna if you need to unlock somebody's iphone or i pat do it. When they're asleep and then kill him later. Just do it in the radar so knock him out knock them out and have their phone or put their finger on the phone and then go from there. Yeah you can do that. But if they if you've already killed them you're not going to be able to get into the fingerprint. That's to eliminate a whole lot of theories behind movies like this could actually happen. It's kind of like mythbusters. If the i've seen movies with Like i dunno. They're breaking tom cruise. You know he gets the fingers. And that's it's going to eliminate all that well if it's done by apple android alarm system million dollar alarm system but it's also i love when they break into a car and they smashed the window and then the guy goes any cut. Some wise anita dashboard on anything built after nineteen eighty and steering wheel locks right. Sorry you can stop the car up and they still pull it down and take you still have to pull it down and drive in no matter what you do with. Starting the engine the steering wheel call them has a lock on it and maybe they think that maybe. That's why the screwdriver that you stick it in the ear of the column. I'd just see him reach a neat to dashboard and grabbed two wires and take off. Yeah and they're hooked on nine volt battery probably okay so he's a little interesting tidbit if you're if you're using the youtube app or actually The netflix hulu the disney and other video apps. If you're watching the video and you tap on the left hand side of the screen. Double tap it. It goes back ten second tv. And now if you if you plan youtube on your phone oh okay. If you're on your phone on your ipad if you're watching the video you double tap it on the right and it moves forward to ten seconds. Triple tackett moves twenty-second so if you're watching the video you can just tap it a little bit. I see my white. I see my wife do it all the time and then i'm go because she does that kind of stuff. She watches the videos. And she'll tap the screen and co own a new recipe. She'll tap the thing. And let's get to the par- doesn't that look good. And then i watched like video so i can cheat at whatever video game. I'm playing and tap the screen. And for whatever reason i tap the screen i go to some other commercial or something so i don't know if i'm tapping the right partner with controls that's right on the left hand left. Hand side goes backwards. Right hand side goes forward. Tv had touch screen on my big one hundred six inch tv in my movie studio. Well walk up. Hey hold on. I want to go back and hit the screen a couple of times. No but that doesn't explain why you got fingerprints all of your screen. We saw that. It doesn't work that way sa no. It doesn't work that way. But it's i think that's kind of cool with youtube videos on. It does on the youtube app. Hulu one disney one. Well i guess. Yeah i don't know i mean there's a little kids run around with tablets and stuff all the time and they get confused and they touch the screen left and right and the parents don't know what they're doing there you go. What else you got anything. Don't be apparent. Don't be apparent and did you have any jobs this week. Gemini a yard or two words. What apparent parrot apparent. No a seward's okay. Do you have any computer jobs or anything. That happened exciting this week. I don't know if it's a totally exciting. But i'm working on that digital recorders system in a maintenance building and We haven't had placed higher drive. Put all the software in. And now once i do that. It doesn't recog- the cameras are all password protected they were. Someone put a password on before i started working on them and ilna way reset. The password is physically. climb up a pole. Open up the camera and press the reset button. You can't have a sticker. Something retaliate with a nail on the end of that lower. Fortunately is only three cameras. Imagine if you went to a place that had you know fourteen fifteen cameras and all these different because there is no software way to do that. They probably have android sesame. You could just do you know touchscreen or something. Yeah but that's just kind of a different thing that people don't realize happens. Hire these cameras Probably like fifteen feet high. But that's not too bad at all all right but just the fact you've got to. You know get ladder thrown in the truck drive down there and climb up just to reset password is kind of weird so okay all right then and if you want to know more about dan you have questions for dan you can email me at deacon it profit radio dot com if you have any kind of it questions for him and the way you find that email is go over to profit radio dot com while you're there get some free stuff and follow us on all our social networks backup. Is Racism in America Causing the High Rate of Black Fatherlessness?

"The moment that we all of a sudden de-emphasized fathers being in the home and subsidized fatherless-ness. We saw all these other trends increase so in the one thousand nine right before the civil rights act passed about twenty four percent of black children. Were born without a father. Now it's upwards of seventy percent you guys can look at the washington examiner. It's seventy seven percent. Let's say it's sixty five percent so something has to explain that forty point increase back yet. Just let me finish yet. And and it's not necessarily that. America got more racist. It could be the cocaine thing which you know is a common issue. It could be operations of all these things. But a forty point increase. I would point to a culture. Fatherless-ness really bad government run public schools and then subsidizing behavior. That isn't good so there are a few things that i can agree with you. On first of all having to people in your house to raise you pretty essential You absolutely this is undeniable While i don't believe in shaming single parents even if they're single parent did mrs bad decision making. It's still good you need. It's up in this economy one parent honestly but with that being said there has been research shown that the rate of black fatherless-ness is somewhat over exaggerated in large part because that number only applies to married fathers so husbands raising their children. It turns out when you account for unmarried. Black couples taking care of their kids. The numbers actually rise to those just think just below white couples. I think there was an article on that. I don't know if i remember sought advice but attracts back. Some really big study. That was done back in two thousand sixteen So that's one point but you are right. There are perverse incentives for example Many welfare Stipulations cut off With a shared income which is only a few thousand dollars per year higher than the necessary. Cutoff for the single income. Meaning that if you're a single mom You can apply for the welfare just fine but then if you get married or otherwise file jointly you get you go above the cap for welfare. This is a horribly program undeniably ended incentivizes bad destructive

For Someone Who Checks His Watch Constantly, Why Can't Biden Address the Nation in a Timely Manner?

"Yesterday was the day that president biden bellied up to the microphone eventually to give his address to the nation on afghanistan. Now that we were finally out after twenty years as he put it are forever war that he wouldn't end to my question always with biden before we get into his actual speeches is. They're not somebody in the white house. Mrs biden or i guess major. The dog has been booted out is back in delaware. But couldn't somebody get this guy in front of a microphone on time. And i'm sitting here in the studio this morning and Doc morgan is going mike gallagher. Show down the line. You don't hear this but affiliated stations. Here the mike gallagher show begins in three minutes and twelve seconds. The mike gallagher show begins in two minutes and twenty seconds. Things that start on time have to start on time. Except in the biden administration and i found one of these at one of the network. Tv operations but they use it a lot. It's he's late again. That's why we never carry biden anchored coverage on our radio network. The salem radio network we feed anything that he's saying. It's important to hear the president of the united states. But we're not going to put an anchor in front of a microphone at two o'clock eastern time. Which was when the speech was supposed to be yesterday and then have them tap dance at dance. Tap dance tap dance than the white house goes. Oops wait a minute. He's now going to make it to forty five. Eventually he showed up. I think about three ten. The guy literally can't get anywhere time for a guy who likes to check his watch as much as he does think he could get somewhere on time. But that's a whole nother topic. We could get into but it's weird that he can never get anywhere on time. I i never understand

"What happens to the Afghans are left behind. Now we know what happens, huh? But here's Matt Bradley, NBC news foreign correspondent. In the morning Schmo show, And by the way, the morning Schmo thought this was all great. He and Mrs Smith. I thought this was fabulous. Cut 14 go and we know Matt. There are still some Americans left in Afghanistan with one day left of these evacuations and many, many Afghans who would like to leave the country. What happens to them as this deadline is met as president Biden has promised on the 31st, which is tomorrow. What happens on Wednesday on September 1st to those left behind? Yeah. You know, I don't really know. And I've spoken with some young Afghans who were trying to get out, especially spoke with a young woman. Last week. She was on a bus trying to get Into the airport. She sat on that bus for about 10 hours. The Taliban came on and we're looking around inspecting everybody. It's tough because they have to get through the Taliban checkpoints and in order to do that, they have to identify themselves to the Taliban. So if they do you understand they had a practical reason we had shared interests. We had to be pragmatic. Go ahead. Into the airport. If they don't get out of the country, then they have to return to Taliban occupied Kabul, knowing that the Taliban has their names, their contact details all their information. But where did they get their names, their contact and all their information from NBC? But it had such a tremendous success. We've never seen anything like this before. Have the name and contact numbers. Wow. They have the technology to To look into somebody's eyes through various devices and so forth to know who they would They get that from

What the fuck is wrong with these guys. Check them out iron on wrestling. You gotta see this picture. Chemmy up about what's going on in real life You're having fun. We've talked a little bit about Some some pot roast stories and whatnot. But i think you've told me a story once upon a time that Scott armstrong started tagging land with you guys to right. He's your opponent on tv but in real life you guys become pretty close. Well what i got there. The one i spent two nights. Jerry stubbs and Second night scott. Armstrong comes over to me and he goes it room here. You're looking for place to stay. I've got a new condo with two beds. Really need somebody to help me with the rent. You know you're welcome to move in. Its move in ready. Yeah we talked about that in gulf breeze. Right yes sir. So scott and i lived together and pretty quickly thereafter brad. Was there as well. Okay and tim. Horner got booked and tim lived in the eight plex. Right around the corner. Brad bought a condo also and it was it was a group of eight places and brad was like down to our right. Tim was in our building so a bunch of young guys own tv. None of you know with the exception of tim. Horner had girlfriends or wives so hell weather. We took out led out and went to the beach and timana and discovered holy man. This is awesome and then we started to meet some bartenders and one of them was a young lady named jackie. Who bartended two thousand one. And she was the head bartender there on wednesday nights. They would have quarter bar brands. You know what that is. Don't you sir do. you've never drank it. I don't what it is though. it's cheap she yup. Yeah and you have never tilted glass with cheap shannon. It adopted down your neck. I'm sure of that. Well kabashi listening royal that type stuff. Maybe i'm a tito's guy cheetos well that's that's the hip brand these days. The young guys stalemate. Okay so ma'am we started going out now. I'm living with scott. We're having a good time. You know at that time. Scott was about two hundred pounds and we're going out and two thousand and one on wednesday night was supposed to be for a quarter bar. Brands in some type of mixer suddenly became because we all knew the bartender. Jackie and she was poor crown and seven. Oh for one quarter. That's a different deal for two fifty. They will take you out in a wheelchair and was part of her deal. Gentlemen prepared to be wheelchair bound here in a couple of hours. Oh and scott man. He was a guy. I didn't know who was a naturally small guy but had jacked himself up and worked out and had been eating really really good and live in the way. You should live prior to me moving in and he got up to about two hundred pounds. We'll man he started dropping weight and in just a couple few months. It could have been a couple of help. Lamont's man he dropped about thirty pounds. So i was a rep door. One day and bullet. Bob darkened our doorway each. I was in the bedroom and giving them a privacy and he pretty much told scott. Pack your shit and get home all that weight that we worked so hard to put on you. You have partied off of you. Look at yourself. Scott jesus christ skied inaugural bullet right. He ended up moving home And it was one of those things that happened so quickly you didn't even and i didn't even notice it but i guess it was true because russia scott did not argue. I guess he had a hard time putting a way. Look great but it one seven these big dipper since two hundred pounds. Yes it is so and so scott move back home and now the scramble was on for another roommate. I had budgeted now my my party money. I mean i didn't have any girlfriend wife. And you know for god to put on probably forty pounds. Which i would say or fifty you know. His head grew with his body. Yes it did you go back. That does not look like the same person at all nickname buffalo head. There you go. I didn't give it to him. So boris don't get hot at me. I'm wondering when you're going to start pushing the ronko egg scrambling from eric in mifflin berg. There once was a man who made toast of its quality. He surely did boast for ten cents a day. You keep burn bread at bay if only it did a steak or a roast. That's really good isn't it. And i'll do one more from joshua's zentner in jacksonville. Florida while listening to friday's podcast. I finally had david aldridge moment regarding the revolution toaster. I shouted out loud. I know that toaster. You see a few months back before the nfl draft. A few people on twitter in the jacksonville area looked at the wedding registry for trevor lawrence and his bride to be marissa maori that included the revolution toaster jacksonville. Jaguars fans donated money to get this toast for them. Toaster for them and in fact raised over eleven thousand dollars which trevor has since donated to local charities. The story doesn't end there. When you said that. Bruce levenson is not in the business of sending stuff for free. This is in fact not true. As revolution cooking decided to gift a revolution toaster to the people who helped organize the gifting of the toaster for trevor. Lawrence and marissa mallory. Additionally do you think. Trevor and marissa can now use their toaster to toast waffles. Instead of having to any of jacksonville's famous waffle houses. Thanks for the years of laughter. Keep up the good work on the show. Yeah and so that that was probably dropped. One hundred bucks so but i'm saying if the whole thing about the toaster. I'm totally in favor of the revolution toast. But the whole thing about it is if you can get a toaster for twenty bucks forty bucks or sixty bucks and a real high. Toasters eighty bucks. How can you spend three hundred four and my position is of course you can. Just don't buy other three hundred dollars thing you were going to buy. You would get rid of in an hour and a half. It doesn't absolute. I know people who will drop choices. Three hundred bucks on a bottle of wine..

"Hundred thirty million dollars is a huge investment I don't see how silly doesn't offer him the deal. They may try to get the protection on injuries in there But we'll see how that goes but as you know. Would you sit down with your franchise player to discuss a contract extension. You're going to discuss the state of the team and one girl more iran. The houston rockets. He he you know james harden he had his hand maybe not on the joystick. But certainly in the copilot's seat. Daryl morey allowed hardened to have input and I suspect joel. Embiid and daryl morey trish job since he got there. It joel On a gun is good side and he has done that. They have a very close relationship. And so this this this deal may make get resolved that you wealth goes in there and says look i'm gonna sign but i'm not signing up for five more years trying to make this work. I don't care if we get a lesser package. We gotta move on. That could happen. And that's we're going to be watching for okay. Let me go to the nets who were done in by injuries. I mean durant was great. Obviously harden was. He wasn't what he was in. Kyrie irving didn't post last two or three games. Only real question here is at what point if you think this is possible. Kyrie irving will go to management and demand. That steve. Nash be fired. I keep asking a good job. You know and i think that had okay tyree not landed on his foot even with a hardened dragon that leg to mark this went to overtime in game seven. The nets would be in the conference finals. fourth quarter. three of them play that. They're the best team in basketball austin about that and also don't forget spencer dinwiddie wasn't there i know he hasn't been there in six months so it's easy to forget about him but if the nets house spencer did what he they win the series. I'm pretty confident of that. So i think what you do you know sometimes tony i i compare Basketball season sometimes to poker hands. Sometimes you have a really good hand. You're holding a couple of aces and you play all the cards right. And things don't go your way to get cracked pat riley. Kind of taught me. He didn't use a poker analogy. But you know he had name teams. You know in la that he kept coming back and like some years. The rockets got him dumb years. The celtics got him. But he wasn't telling magic johnson james worthy or kareem abdul jabbar. Get outta here. He was saying okay. Let's make a little adjustment and go back to the to the game. And so i think you know it's hard as that is to say right now. I think you you hold the hand that you just had and you get back in the game next summer you have our next year. You have some adjustments you wanna make but you bring back the same core team and you get health. You may have the trophy. And i think that's really what the nets You need to focus on. So you don't think kyrie will be an agitator and we'll try and get rid of nash honest like why do you think he doesn't like nash. Because he said when. Nash was appointed that. We're really the coaches and we don't really need a coach. Yes but that would be first off. Kyrie day to day is all over the place. And i think anybody who's on this team Psych let's get kyrie on the court will play basketball and then when he gets off the court just sort of weather and go get it do That they had read auerbach in there he might say and read. Auerbach probably realized when cari steps off the the line. I'm not gonna listen to what he says he gets on your all that he's gonna do it and we're gonna be okay. I let me let me get out of this thing and go to something else. That interests me enormously. Chris paul does he in fact have cove it. Would you expect to see him in the second he does. Well how does he have it. if he was vaccinated. How does he have it because because it wasn't vaccinated. I farted i know. He was vaccinated in february with pfizer. That's okay you know. He has a break. What they call the breakthrough infection Could happen to anybody who's vaccinated now from what i understand. He is very light. Symptoms racist dramatic. I would say not being a doctor that the vaccine didn't job that he contracted the virus and he is okay and he's going to be fine and he is not going to be sick or have to go to the hospital or have serious symptoms so evacuating works but but the thing about it is if if you can still get infected with even if you have the vaccine that means you can't have an infected person around your basketball team. You have an outbreak and and the season's over so he has to be sidelined for ten days or until he has to negative teff and he clearly hasn't had to negative test. Tony if you looked at the players who you came down with kobe during the year and there was a handful of very severe case. This is not very severe but serious cases jayson. Tatum being moved to the top of that list and there was dozens of very very minor cases. But almost all players who tested positive for covid out about two weeks because it was just hard to get back to back negative test before ten to fourteen days. So if chris. Paul is indeed totally a symptomatic which has been reported. I haven't been told that that's been reported that he's looking at a ten day situation. He was tested positive last monday. You can use your fingers. He's looking at you. Know today would be like day. Eight or nine right at a good enough to play in game two but if he has no symptoms he should be able to play in theory and game three now. Maybe had a sore throat for today's and the symptom clock didn't start to last wednesday. I don't know that By that all affects it. But if you go back and look at the regular season people missed. Most of them is two weeks. Maybe twelve days so the difference between ten and twelve days. Here's difference between missing two games three game so But that's what. But that is. From what i understand what happens and the the nba without one hundred percent vaccination has got to protect its players. And that's what they test them every day. Even when i would say that. If you lose chris paul from phoenix which is an enormous loss because of leadership. But you lose. I leonard from the clippers which is an enormous loss. Because he's the best player on the court whenever he gets on the court unless durant is playing. Dan i mean that's that's that's even isn't it. That's an even deal if you lose them both. Yes but chris. Paul we have a good feel is gonna come back and he may have one hundred percent you challenges but his knees are gonna be work you know right. I'm so so the sun. The funds actually benefit tony that. Espn has the western conference finals this year. And here's why. Espn or was on. Abc was guaranteed contractually sunday afternoon game for their sunday afternoon audience. Okay and some years That is eastern conference series and so if the if the fbi had the these they would've televised philadelphia atlanta game seven on sunday afternoon. I know this is in the weeds but it matters but because this year because tnt in espn flop back and forth with east and west conference finals. That's sunday afternoon. Game had to be game one and they couldn't be sunday night had to be sunday afternoon. And as a result the la clippers after winning that grueling series with the jazz had thirty six hours between series. And i believe that fatigue played a factor there in so while the sons it a bit of bad fortune that That chris paul goes out with this Cova positive situation They get good fortune and that the clippers have this quick turn around and they're able to jump on. I do believe fatigue played a role. They a jump on. I'm looking at milwaukee. Milwaukee unplayed till tomorrow. You don't play tomorrow. They you know they they get all these days off because tnt you know had the east these playoffs and so they have atlanta You know the atlano game seven and they you know the lottery is locked into today and the lottery is on. Espn so lotteries always going to be before one of espn game so here. We have the western towns playing two games before the east. I know that's why in the world but that and help our son's getting victory without chris paul's almost worth of winning the house. I agree with that. I do thank you for getting up early in doing this. And we'll talk soon. I appreciate your thank you brian. Thank you. Brian windhorst just great. He's just great. We'll take a break news when we return we'll talk about the ncaa's and if there's any room after that. Apparently nigel has some story about a bear somewhere. I'm tony.

"She plays in. Brian windhorst instead of our nba preview nba playoff preview or nba playoff review. Or something like that. The thing brian that that stands out to me is that all four teams that are still alive. Clinched the next round on an away court. I maybe that's been done before. I don't i don't know. I don't know that statistically it matters but i found it really remarkable and i think the first question to ask you and i hope you agree with me and if not we'll just move on to a different part of the interview. What was the most like surprising result to you in the second round. I like to say atlanta Because obviously the nets were upset but they but they had injuries yes oh atlanta atlanta is number five seat yes and atlanta is a team that has very little playoff experience. I don't think any of their starters have appreciable playoff experience and they go into philadelphia in game seven and their star player. Trae young shoots five of twenty three terrible game. Yeah we could argue who their second best player is but i think bogdonovich is argument. He gets he's got a bomb. Lake shoots two of eight and shuts it down. The second half can't finish and they win that game That is a You know that's an all time. I remember like in two thousand sixteen when the cavs one game seven of the finals in golden state teams on the road in game seven. We're and we're like a a ten ten or twelve percent all time. It was almost overwhelmingly sense that time. We've seen a handful of this happen. But the bizarre circumstances of atlanta pulling this out by the way. They've won five wrote games in the playoffs. This is a huge number for any team in history in two rounds for a team that has no playoff. experience It they amazing number. So i have to say they are in what's been a year of surprises. They are a leading surprise. Right now. good. We agree on that and that allows me to just go in the in the order that i prepared these questions because the next question is poor doc doc. Rivers loses in game seven all the time all the time. Sometimes he's been up three one and loses in game seven but he loses in game seven all the time. What does it mean would they fire. Doc rivers fired. Brian brown was that his name. Would they fire doc rivers. It's but bad week. For doc rivers tony. You know earlier this week tyron lou. Gets you know the sixers or the clippers in this remarkable comeback and. What's everybody if the clipper lan saying. Well last year they got three one and you know. Let go of the rope and completely made no adjustments and this year tight luther everything in the kitchen sink and it worked and they advance boy. Are they glad they have tyler which is code for. Aren't they glad they got rid of dock and then this happens and the thing about it is. I realized that joel embiid was Limited because of that need but if you watched him play he was playing it up very high level and so there is no excuse And you know just you're straight exit knows standpoint Tobias harrison. Seth curry are two. Very good place. Are they going to be hall of famers. No but they're very good players. And in the last round against the wizards when joel went down. Doc went to those two guys and said we're going to run a two gig. 'cause he couldn't go to ben simmons right so he goes to those two guys and they were great. They carried them out of that series. Not that washington was destined for greatness. The washington did win game four and having hopes of a comeback and it was almost like he forgot that those players were in the playbook. We're watching this team. Come down the stretch of a game seven and he's running nothing for them and i'm wondering tony. What's he doing these time outs. It's not quite as bad as the mike. Good holzer timeout. That will he. He was saved from goat horns for a long time by kevin durant being one inch inside the three point line. because that's right to your brook. Lopez came out of a timeout. Without knowing that there was only two seconds on the shot clock which i absolutely cannot believe and that will be lost history. And those guys are damn lucky. But that's digression as i'm watching this game go down. I'm like what about your other. Your other guys. Who got you the number one see. They didn't get simple and see just going to joel embiid. And that's what happened last year in the in the bubble when the clippers were just melting out there. You're like why won't they do something and you got the same sensation. Why won't the sixers do something. Why won't they fight. Why is there nothing coming and you know. What are you gonna say. Doc rivers was the sideline both arms. So you can't fire the gm. Because he got the after doc and he didn't put the team together and i'm not saying fire dog. 'cause i like talk. Everybody likes doc so now. It's all landed on ben. Simmons and ben simmons now everybody wants to trade immediately. Well you're not gonna get anything for ben simmons near what. Ben simmons is worth. If ben simmons could go to a psychologist if he could learn how to shoot foul shots if he could shoot seventy percent from the line. All of this goes away because then he's not reluctant in the fourth quarter to take any shots. He's a useless player on offense in the fourth quarter. And you can't have that right not in the playoffs. I mean i. I'd like to say to you. The useless is too strong of a word. But i don't think you're wrong And so you you you sum up there conundrum. perfectly ben. Simmons could be treated absolutely. I think if they put them in the market they would get off. There's a bunch of teams who really want him but the ever the not what he's worth right or not paying the premium and the reason they not paying the premiums. Because yeah if i'm in fourteenth place ben simmons he may help me get to be a fifth-place team and now i'm worth paying for but he's not gonna get to be a first place team and so i so it's a conundrum. And here's what makes my might break the conundrum joel. Embiid is due for contract extension. This summer he is qualified to sign what they call the supermax five years..

Brian brown ben simmons seventy percent kevin durant Tobias harrison two guys two Ben simmons five tyron lou last year joel embiid bogdonovich Brian windhorst joel Embiid Lopez brian two rounds fourteenth place

I'm not sure but that's a good story. Can i mention book. Forty did make the olympic team. So we're happy for that much. Congratulations to the family. Can i mention that. That i'm sunday is the saddest day of the year because it's it's the longest day of the year which means all the days get shorter from now on. Has we go from now. To december twenty first. From the summer solstice winter solstice. everything gets shorter So sad summer solstice s s s s. And because we took so much time in the intro. Sorry no it's okay. I can't tell you how much. "Vacation day, you still are getting up at six o'clock in the morning nuts marrow because you are feeding the horses in the morning. As they move my lesson to noon, horses are going to get a full, get they'll. Down there my boxers. They don't care as long as you feed them. Well, one of things living here on the French we have twenty some odd acres here. It's just a my wife and I did you know? Sure you are having problems. First AMAS planet. Yeah. I. Think. So. So speaking of I on this planet, a lot of people out there are having a hard time with figuring out she we were and we not wear masks now here the French were pretty much isolated. So we really don't have to worry about being enclosed on in the house you know sometimes you get cabin fever sometimes, you get scared not scared, but you just want to get out I, want to get out and do something we'll hear the franchise always something to do. There's always a tree to chop down. There's always Always a field demo-, there's always something to do. So we don't get really claustrophobic and stuff. Now, the news reports and stuff for people are not trapped at home, but trying to stay at home news articles are out there. Now, there's something that everyone puts out now, I don't know if you know this or not. There's A, there's a company of an AP that writes a script and then send it its affiliates to all the affiliates use the same terminology depending on. Okay. I, see what you're saying. So you know you can watch a report New York. Story, it's a story and then you watch something in Tennessee. It'd be the same thing I want you to listen to this report that's gone out. Tell me something kind of rings, your ear, a little bit sticks in your. So once you here, you can't hear it and I'm going to tell you what about, but it's about the story of everyone wearing a mask. So here you go. Kobe cases mouth across the country. The mass debate is intensifying. People are very passionate on both sides of the Great Masturbate Masturbate is heating. Masturbate. Bates growing president is trying to have a cover, the masturbate CVs target and Walgreens are getting in on the masturbate masturbate. Now, taking center stage at local restaurants. It's nine minutes after six. Now, there's new video of a raging math debate debate in Georgia is getting ugly the great masturbate in. West. Virginia might soon be coming to an end. So what does that sound close to the word is a little too close to certain word. South Pledge Ring? Yes. Correct. So. But they're saying they're saying it free Leslie and happy free. They're saying it. So there you go. Now, I was saying that you know we here at the French, we do our own thing we enjoy going out. That's why we're going on vacation. We have isolate Beach House that we're going to on the was. Or whatever fairbanks the Outer Banks Outer. Banks, and it was some kind of banks. Near Kurla where all the way horses roam free. That's where we're going, but we isolate as well. I mean, it's. A little, Beach House. Now, some people are going out and getting on the river. We love when we lived in Florida getting on the St John's and relaxing and getting in the boat and just going and just just people even though in those areas. Now, this is your daily dose, your weekly dose of Crazy Karen this woman actually brought a tape measure and is yelling at this Latin family. They are not six feet apart. Now I'm gonNA play the video. It's going to have a little bit of music and the music stops. There's a little bit of music they're they're listening to radio. You can hear the tape measure. Goodness. Beneath. White woman is crazy. The lady screaming and shaking the tape measure around. She actually pulled the tape measure. The see if everyone was six feet of. Mongla on Komo intoxicated. People like you that are ruining it for all of us. So there you go. As she shakes her tape measure at her is she tanner's is she just insane? Is She just it's you know. who was she close to the video picks up after the lady is already freaked out. So we can't really I mean the lady where. Maybe, maybe there's more to it. I don't know, but looking at that video I, mean, it didn't look like the woman that she was gone. That was close to where they were sitting though what if she was sitting with her home family? Her husband had to pick her up. So it's not I. Mean. He's definitely within her six foot radius. It's what is she getting upset about? She's maybe Maybe. There's a part of the video that we don't see. Maybe she's yelling at the Latin woman, that's there with her family and their altogether and there, but that's fine there. Altogether, their family, that's how this is working, right? So. If you're if you've been isolated with your family and nobody's sick pay, you stay with your family, I don't know I don't know I think there might have been more to that situation that we can't see people I. Mean You and I, we've walked Walmart and stuff coming man I get I. Get I. Get borderline you too because. Well, first of all, you guys since March. So we're now what in August, my? Gosh, five months now? Yes, I maybe maybe gotten out once this week I. I think I've been out more this week than I have in the last three months altogether. You know you do all of the shopping. "At high single digit and July across the fast food industry breakfast sales have dried up, of course because what I said. Now, when reports Wednesday the same store sales in the second quarter, we're down four percent because of knowing going out there and buying stuff. Stuff tap on their way to work right breakfast is made up roughly eight percent of the Wendy's system wide sales in the quarter despite the chains moving the morning menu launching its first week of March. So they've only been in the game for since March and already they're seeing a bump of eight percent. But I don't know they don't have. They don't have you don't. They don't have. They don't have hashbrowns. I Want Hash browns. I didn't I liked their breakfast potatoes I really did, but that's my kind of thing seasoned. They're like season potato wedges. Garlic fries. No, they're not like. Don't know nothing. They're like fries now. Here's something else. That's keeping me fat look at. We were talking about macaroni and cheese. Gosh, macaroni and cheese is now a thing with fans and they are freaking out cheetos has now teamed up with National Brand. Pen, they're making cheetos, MAC and cheese. When I say Cheetos, Chester Cheetah. You know what? I'm talking about. They've got three new flavors out. They've got the crunch on. Sorry. They have the CHEETOS MAC and cheese flaming hot. They had the cheetos Mac and cheese bolden cheesy, and then here's my probably my favorite, the CHEETOS MAC and cheese. cheesy. Jalapeno, will be really tasting. The real cheetos. It sounds like it just might be the ingredients call for Chester's top-selling seasoning which happens to be named after the spokesperson. Chester Cheetah. Frito lay North American partner of quicker foods. North. America home of pasta-roni is to create a new treat which is available in a single box or cup format and plans to reveal it and release it all. In the Walmart stores, August eight. So you've got two more days to look for these. Do me a favor if you seem in your stores, take a picture. Picture and send it to Deacon live. Just go to begin. You could send send a photo to a deacon that prophet or email me at deakin profit radio DOT. com, and you can send us pictures because that's GONNA be on my list. I'm I'm to have try you have to try but I I had to lose thirty pounds because you're not going to deal with. that. That's for sure. The reason why I have to lose thirty pounds and I say thirty pounds I. I could probably lose ten and still look, okay. Thirty pounds because my wife ordered new clothes for our vacation trip coming up and she was like, well, what size pants you wear, and I'm like Oh God. In the forties already. Shit. Yeah going. Give me those you want the stretchy side. Do they come stretchy side? Yeah. So what you're saying, if I get a forty construct him out to forty two. Yeah. Let's go with those. You know what they say. Well, second won't when your mom always bought your closing, they were too big for you'll grow into it. I'm going to reduce into my class, meet you because I bought myself some new stuff as well. And other things coming out this week in Food I. Guess another thing that's coming out, that's GonNa kill me as well. Right for this I. saw this now, your your dad like the Vienna sausage did, and so you don't like much. You don't like the sausage. Someone has deep fried sausage in bread crumbs, Pinko, and kind of made them look like if you're watching us here on the tenth video here, breaded weenies. They look like bread Mozzarella. Do they do, but I'd be interested in trying them. So someone on on the facebook, Vigo's taking Vienna sausage to a new level, and they deep fried them batum with a bread crumbs and done some kind of like, Panko, Brennan them. So that's you know what? A three dollar horn putting a hundred dollar dress on earth. Right. When we come back, I'll dive into a little bit more,.

"Mrs. So anytime you say will it's always questionable. Of course, trust me on this. It will impact your retirement so myth. Number two. We're on. We're on things that just aren't so today. It makes no difference. When you take social security. I think it does make a difference, does absolutely makes a difference. So here's what happens. Here's we're justifying bunch of people case, you've ever, you know, you, you wanna believe your own PR. They say right? We. It's just it's just funny, how the human mind behaves. So people will wait to take money out of their IRAs and 4._0._1._K's until they're seventy and a half. And the real reason is one most people who saved it don't end up needing the money number two. They build up an account size that is finally grown to a figure that they can't imagine reducing writes that you've gone through forty or fifty years of accumulation and now on the set and you have to take money just doesn't feel natural. Right. And then the third is some people are afraid of running out of money, but the average American will wait until they're seventy and a half before they touch. It's over seventy percent of the people until they touch tax deferred assets for when ks IRA's, however, according to social security, ministrations, seventy percent of people take social security, the minute, they can get their hands on which is age sixty two. Right. So can I'm fifty two years old. So my full retirement age, f r a is, is the initials that they use it for, and you can go to social security dot gov to find out where years are, by full retirement age is sixty seven and. It doesn't matter what the amount is. But let's say my social security would be two thousand dollars a month, if I waited until I was sixty seven years. Now if I wanted to take it at sixty two. I am going to lose six percent of the value per year. So the, the money I would have taken it sixty six the money I would have taken a sixty five sixty four sixty three six percent.
