For the dynamic duo experience yes you got it so so yeah we. We've been recently. We've been bringing on some podcasters to to talk about issues that are important to them to say what needs saying to talk about the things that are often ignored in not talked about. So we we want to bring this platform to people where people feel comfortable talking about whatever it is that they need to say and not feel afraid of being condemned for their thoughts or their views or what they are deciding to talk about. You know things like that and so we get into some of these sensitive subjects and source objects. That people don't like talking about so. I want you guys to kind of bring us into speed immigrants. So what we're going to be focusing on. Today's men suck taking care of their mental health. A let it slide. And they look after their families if they're married or they look after their significant others or whatever the case may be men for whatever reason by nature are horrible when it comes to taking care of their mental health. And what do i mean by mental health. I would say the thoughts that go on in their head about who they are what their role is in the world That they may be carrying around with them. Perhaps there's even some depression all these things. Doubts fears anxieties tuition. We live in a world. That's that men are just supposed to suck it up and show up and make it happen and never deal with that stuff. And i'm fed up about it. You know yeah. I completely agree. I mean there's so many times where these the my community. I hear a lot of people say you know. Just people like people express their you know their perspective as means now and i saw one. That says a personal say. I'm good until they're in a dark place a depression. But are you are you okay. I'm good no matter what it is you know. You said you're not supposed to be crying. Your man are you out of your mind. What type of hostile. What level of hostility mrs harbor. Or you know what level of detriment comes from harboring this level of emotional expressionist being. What's your jason. Yeah i mean. I have to. You know i saw brandon. Real quick and brandon is black. And so i know in the black community. Mental health is worse in the community. So that being said. I'm kind of flip the question on you. Have you experienced that a little bit member. We're we're fellow podcast sir. So we're gonna flip it and you experienced that kind in. Do you feel like it's like that and in the black community. I'll give you this. I recently because this valentine's day coming up this sunday. yup. I saw post that Why are men now. This is from the communities from other african americans or other black they said why are men nachos yvonne times day is for women and i quote that this gay that is specifically for women and that term alienates any feminine or even you know quote unquote especially your insider liking hours of wanting chocolate or one. Should you take more money in the flowers back. There's always the joke to the serious side of really such a pivotal point because it affects. How people even correlate love and responsibility to their kids and to their why into their spouse and men not even being emotionally available for me to be you know. Do they even get so point of marriage or are they even able to sustain a real relationship with their kids so you can follow us really. Show love to the show. A love should look like you know what i mean. I think. I think they can show love to their daughters. They struggled showing love to their son's. Yes just because all. You're a man your boy. You're not so sure. Show those feelings going back to the gift of valentine's i mean yeah. Do i want flowers for my wife. I wouldn't be like oh this. Is you know you had said like. Trevor Noah Doesn't Want To Hear Your Vaccine Excuses

"Hundred thousand covert deaths a number that. Nobody wanted to see and as painful as that. Is you have to admit you have to admit it is nice to see. America's president actually take a moment just a moment to recognize the toll that corona virus has taken. I mean the only time the previous president showed any sadness was when he accidentally deleted fox news off of his. Dvr what a day for americans. What does that day. My sweet hannity has gone. The good news is that the number of new infections has plummeted in the last few weeks. But what's interesting is the number that they've plummeted to is where they were lost july. Which at the time. Everyone thought was so horrifying that the country immediately started locking down again. And this just goes to show you that your perspective can change based on where you're coming from. That's it's like. If i go to tech right now wolf i'd probably be like this is my life but if i went from being attacked by full wolves to one wolf. I'm probably be like what a relaxing way to stop the week. So look this is why it's so important to get people vaccinated as quickly as possible. And don't give me any excuses about how you're too busy or it's not convenient last weekend and nine hundred year old. Seattle woman walked six miles in the snow to keep her appointment because the roads hadn't been plowed. Which is incredible. Although if you believe people stories walking miles snow is what they do all the time. They love that shit but still if a nine year old woman can do it. You can do it too. I don't tell me but trevor. I'm not ninety years old too young to get the vaccine right now. That's also no excuse a strange story now. Showing the length to florida women were willing to go to to get the vaccine. They're caught dressing as granny's just so they can get the shot now. Here's the thing it worked for. The first time around officials say the women are thirty. Four and forty four years old so you can see one of the more abundant and long cardigan. Didn't make much of an effort to cover up a vaccinators thought. They looked funny so they were stopped before getting their shots. And that's when they found out both women had faked their birth dates. Now officials want to know how they were able to get away with getting the first shot. The women are not facing any charges but police did yell at them calling their actions selfish okay. This is outrageous. You call that dressing up as a granny. All that woman did was put on. Its own and that other. One didn't do anything to wig hunch over or even easier just download the facebook phone. I mean if you got that you're seventy five minimum. If you want to teach away to the vaccine you at least have to put in the work. No one would have booked charade. I'm pretty sure. Mrs doubtfire wouldn't have gotten the kids back if he's just showed up like hey. It's me mrs doubtfire nanny. How did they even think that they could pretend to be old women at that age. I mean personally. I blame porn. You know they start putting women in the category of twenty six. Of course we have unrealistic ideas of what granny's look like but what's crazy is they would have gotten away with it if the doctors hadn't gotten suspicious. Hey wait a minute. If you're a grandma how come you haven't tried to set me up with one of your grandkids yet.

Disney Plus Launches Star, A Streaming Outlet With More Grown-Up Fare

"Knew that star was launching february twenty third which recording this yesterday. I am in canada. So i have access to it along with australia. New zealand parts of europe in singapore. So a few countries have this new section on their disney plus app. And it's a big deal. It's a big deal for me. Because we get all the wes anderson movies. It's a big deal for some other people because they get like twenty four and richard devine from window. Central is tweeting about how much she loves. Twenty four and jack bowers back baby and all that so. I just wanted to talk about where we are in terms of streaming. I know disney or marvel disney made a big bunch of big announcement this morning On when the next set of mcu in star wars shows will be released on disney plus. And then there's all the other services right. There's hbo max there's peacock there's discovery plus there's Paramount plus. I guess if you want to call that new and all this leads to confusion for people who just want to find the show to watch. So let's start with disney. They now have ninety five million subscribers. They are doing really really well. In terms of expansion into new countries. This new star lodge is a big deal so give us the t. l. Dr if you will of why star launched now and why. It's a big deal for people outside the us lawyers. It's always the lawyers. Yeah i say why did it launch now because this is when they could finally agree on. Okay here's where the contracts in so we can pick things up. Yeah the the. The really oversimplified version is this in the united states. We have hulu and hulu has basically everything. That's not under the five pillars of disney plus in those disney star. Wars marvel pixar in national geographic. Anything outside of that. you what. You're forgetting well. I was gonna say you're forgetting the pillar of twentieth century fox and twentieth century fox which is on hulu so so virtually anything outside of those five pillars in the. Us will find on hulu yes. They're exceptions the problem is hulu is not anywhere in the rest of the world. It's a decidedly american phenomenon and so disney needed a way to get all this content to everybody else in pay by the way they get to charge a little more for it too and that became star the way they first announced it they do it. What other earnings calls last year It was a little like just weird. I didn't even fully understand it at the time and it took a little while to sink in and then the developer not developer days there investor days into simmer november december whenever that was explained. It a little better really. It's just that simple if it's if it's content you can probably find on hulu here in the us it's going to be on star everywhere else. So given that disney twentieth century fox. They bought a. They bought that from fox which was previously a shareholder in hulu disney is now the majority shareholder of hulu. Why can't they just bring hulu to the rest of the world. What is that. I mean i don't know the brand well who owns. Who is the issue there although disney now entirely owns who if i correct right they finish tying their last pieces of hulu like two years ago for for all intents and purposes and there might be somebody with a little sliver but it it's a disney joint partially owned by comcast but they're buying it slowly over the next few years right. Yeah that was an agreement that was made a couple of years ago but But that's why comcast is okay. All of our stuff is leaving hulu at this date because we will no longer have a share in it and it's all going to peacock But yeah the reason that who didn't exist in all these other countries was media streaming lauzon like entertainment and streaming laws vary by country by country. It takes a lot of money to get the rights to a decent amount of shows in places other than the us so it was a matter of hulu. Didn't really have the time or the or the money to spend on investing in trying to build up a catalog and other countries the only other country that hulu is in outside of the united states is japan. And i'm not sure how much longer is going to be there since they're probably going to roll it into star but it's disney had the clout to roll around the disney also already had rights to a lot of these things or the released they in contracts and have the rights back right so it's just easier to bring a new sub domain umbrella underneath disney plus put all the twentieth century fox content in there called star and make it a separate kind of expansion for everybody who already has disney plus. All star is disney. Plus for grownups. It's harder to always you know proper phones not anymore. But that's a. That's a good analogy. Yeah all right. So we we have star. It's got all the twentieth century fox stuff. I think it's got more than that. That's also where a lot of like. Abc television stuff ended up. It's also where a bunch of other like indie stuff that disney and fox had bought up over the years. Anything fox searchlight his ended up in there. That's why it's it's a huge a collection of content. I'm amazed that they were able to get the international rights for those together quickly. Enough for star for the international launches. So the question. I have is is disney. Plus going to host new content in star is that is this where they're going to compete with netflix and hbo for adult viewership or are they still kind of not really aiming at that audience. No actually. I think you've got that right in. It's going to get a little weird because contents can vary by country but you can see that a little bit in the in the Release lists you get you get stuff that is decidedly more adult in there and and part of that is just from the content. That's coming out of those houses in the first place. If you look at specifically fx stuff here it's called fx. Hulu it is it is. I don't know that. I'd go so far as to say it's r rated but it's pretty damn close. Fx is yeah fx is definitely not child-friendly content like ninety percent of it like isn't fx. Were archer lives yeah. Fx is is archer archer archers ethics original sort of But yeah we look at the. The new exclusive stuff like fx on hulu like depths. Was one. I loved last year. I thought it was excellent right up until the end and it went. A little off the rails. Mrs america was on there as well. I mean there's stuff that the you wouldn't even otherwise necessarily see on cable but that they're streaming in that fashion. lets them. do you know just a little more than they. otherwise would have And it's not something that you would see on disney plus so this gives them another conduit for that stuff as well. Yeah and the brand new original content is also going. It's going to vary by the audience category. 'cause like anything that's marvel or star wars is not going to be listed under the star brand period. If it belongs to one of those temples it's still going to be disney plus branded and everything starts going to have the both labels at the bottom whenever they're advertising it but it's a matter of if we're going to do original series if it's pg or if it's pg thirteen below it'll probably be disney plus branded and if it's not pg thirteen disney and pg thirteen and up will probably be star

Shaking Up the Lower Grade Curriculum with Writing

"Let's talk about writing. Yeah because i know there's a passion of yours. How do you find passion and a love for teaching writing in the earliest grades like it just seems like that usually happens with teachers that are in the upper grades. What would you in the grade levels that you love to teach it writing. Also become a passion. The i've seen such exciting writing pieces. Come from my students. Because i don't want to sound like my head is big or anything but i just can get little kids to write. I just can the system. That kind of came up with for my students where i basically spent a month. Indoctrinating them with the process. They could say forwards backwards upside down. It doesn't matter in their sleep. There is a little chance that i taught them. And bay internalized it and it was like it's just initial and then i talked to him what to do on each level of writing process and also became like a game right right right i had a display on the wall and it was almost like okay. I did all the things i need to do. On level one like the picking ideas as like they had success checks that they had to do before they can move the level two and it became like a game. They're like. I did this and i did. This did this. And they didn't check with me they check with a friend like the idea was that i could get out of it. Let them depend on each other or themselves to produce a piece of writing and if their friends like you did this miss you can go to level two. They're running up to the law and they're moving their picture to level two and they have a new goal sheet of things they have to do on that level and i talked them so explicitly what to do on every single level that by the time they got that they don't need me. Why do you need mrs tab. I don't know what to do next. I have to pick an idea. Okay monopoly i did. I have to plan it out then. I gotta read the thing that i have to edit it out to revise it in the not publish it and then i go back and pick a new idea. Have you know and so it just i mean even the boast roebuck writers because so many kids. They hate writing they. They don't know what to do. There's anxiety there. It seems like this big beast of fame but the way to get writing anxiety to go away is to teach them how to like system get something created all. That's taken care of. So i spent all my time working on the crashed right because they had the process now so i was actually able to get in there and help them improve the quality of the crafts instead of running around being like us. You don't even know how to said it's you didn't even put a capital letter here. Oh my goodness you just look. Although eat how kids periods all the way down to the paper they just what they think essentially is all that it was gone because at top them explicitly and once they had can pretty much anything i asked him to write in. It's just the best love

Aunt Jemima Has a New Name

"Oh what a difference. A year makes in the breakfast food. I'll at least and jemima brand of pancakes and serbs has a new name as we previously reported pepsico announced that it was overhauling the breakfast brands name and imagery which was under intense. Fire for being racially insensitive. The new brand will be called the pearl milling company. The products still look a lot like they always have. The company kept the packaging design with its signature bright red and mouth-watering images of pancakes drenched in butter and syrup but the image of a smiling black woman is gone and so is the name. The name is the original moniker of the missouri company that i developed the self rising pancake. Mix the company patented the product under the aunt. Jemima name you'll start seeing the new packaging on store shelves in june. You'll recall last summer. When the black lives matter movement shined a spotlight on inequality in brands were forced to do some self examination during that time. Many companies that were using racially insensitive or racist imagery vowed to make changes. During that time. Conagra brands switch manufacturers. The mrs butterworth's brand of syrups and pancake mixes issued a statement that it was undertaking. A complete brand review of its mrs butterworth's lines but unlike its competitor the company stopped short of saying it would drop the name and image critic said that the syrup bottle shaped like a matronly woman was also based on a racial stereotype. But there is no word yet on agra brands plans for mrs butterworth or the state of the review process.

Iran Demands U.S. Lift Sanctions Before It Reenters Nuclear Deal

"Iran has set a deadline off Sunday for the United States to lift the sanctions imposed by President Trump after he pulled us out of the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement. But Biden administration has indicated that although it is prepared to ease the measures, it'll only do so if Iran first returns to compliance with the nuclear deal. Over the past five years, Iran has resumed enrichment on development activities and alleged violation off the nuclear agreement. Head of the UN's nuclear watchdog, has arrived in Tehran today to find out more so both U. S and Iran of staked out their position ahead of Sunday's deadline. The Biden administration is also agreed to return to nuclear talks with Iran, with its European allies, raising the prospect of the U. S. Rejoining The 2015 agreement, however, is the new secretary of state, Antony Blinken told the BBC's yelled at her Quim. There were conditions attached to any future U. S engagement with Iran. We have a policy in recent years of so called maximum pressure on Iran that has not produced results. In fact, The problem has gotten worse around is now much closer to being able to produce on short order enough fissile material for a nuclear weapon that so called breakout time had been pushed past one year. By the nuclear agreement. It's now down, based on published reports to just a few months and meanwhile, Iran has been not standing down but acting up in the region with various destabilizing actions, attacks on our own forces in Iraq and elsewhere on our partners. And so the problem has gotten worse. Not better. U S Secretary of State Antony Blinken and earlier I spoke to Professor Mohammad Marandi of the University of Tehran and former nuclear talks advisor Firstly is Iran in any way, please, to see a change of president. In the United States. I don't think anyone in Iran Mrs Trump, but I don't think that anyone really has any expectations of by them. We already see that Biden and his administration is pursuing the same policies of maximum pressure. And instead of being apologetic for what the United States has done to Iran, he has expectations from Iran. The Americans left agreement, but it's the Iranians that he expects to comply by the agreement instead of the United States, making up for the harm that it's carried out against ordinary Iranians. Or, for example, the United States has murdered a senior Iranian general who led the fighting against Isis and Al Qaeda and the region. Yet the United States is speaks of its concern about Iranian behavior, So it's a sort of extraordinary situation where Trump leaves. But the legacy of Trump is still there in many ways, But with all due respect, you're not getting Maura of the same with the Biden administration, for instance, it has already dropped to push for more sanctions at the United Nations crafted by President Trump, and it's also removed restrictions. On Iranian diplomats a credit to the United Nations in New York. Maybe these are small things, but they're indicative off a different approach. Do you not think No, I think they're zero the movement of Iranian diplomats in New York. It's just a very small irritant. It has no impact on life for ordinary Iranians and the withdrawal of the U. S letter to the U. N. Security Council makes no difference either because the U. N did not accept Trump's claims that those sanctions were back in place because the United States left the P five plus one. They didn't have the authority to write that letter. What is important for Iran is that the United States has not abided by his obligations and neither have the Europeans, whereas it was the Iranians that remained within the framework of the P five plus one and committed itself to its obligation and on Lee after a long period of time that Iran decrease its commitments because the other side was not abiding by any of their commitments. So you would acknowledge that, as of now Iran is in non compliance with the 2015 nuclear agreement. I mean, it's resumed enrichment and development activities. No, it's the other side that has been in noncompliance for years and within the framework of the deal. I think it's article 36. The Iranians have the right to when the other side is not carrying out its obligations. It has the right to decrease its own commitments to its obligations so the Iranians are on Lee risk. Implicating but with great delay. In fact, many in Iran are saying, Why did you wait all these years? You should have stopped applying Iranian commitments to the JCP away when the Americans stopped, But the Iranians who waited because the Europeans promised to do something about it, and they didn't and then gradually, Iranians like decrease its commitments. But Iran has never left the deal. And Iran has always said if the United States returns to its commitments will reciprocate. But so far the United States has done nothing. I mean, you set this deadline for the United States to lift those sanctions against Iran. What's around going to do when that passes and you don't get what you want? Well when the Americans do not remove the sanctions, That means that the United States will continue the maximum pressure campaign, which means the United States will not abiding by any of its commitment within the framework of the nuclear deal, and therefore Iran will end the remaining commitments that it is carrying out with it. The framework of the nuclear deal. In other words, if the United States implements the deal, we implement the deal, but for now on, we're not going to implement part of the deal. When the Americans are implementing none of the deal. The Iranian law that was passed gave Biden a month and a half. He could have just used his pen and reversed Trump's presidential decrees, but he did not make that choice. If he chooses to make that choice that the Iranians will reciprocate, But the Americans cannot expect any changes to the deal. There will be no change is the side that can make demands is Iran, not the United States. Iran was hurt by American maximum pressure campaign as it was committed to the

Are You Glad You Are Not God?

"To the lord of families of the people's ascribed to the lord glory and strikes som- ninety six seven. Here's at least part of the experience. That the sole mrs referring to when he says a scribe give to the lord strength. What are we doing when we ascribe to. The lord strength i by god's grace we give attention to god and see that he is strong we give heed to his strength then we give our approval to the greatness of his strength. We give due regard to. It's worth we find his strengths to be wonderful. But what makes this wonder that we experience a giving kind of wonder give to the lord strength is that we are especially glad that the greatness of the strength is his and not ours. We feel a profound fitness in the fact that he is infinitely strong and we are not. We love the fact that this is so we do not envy god for his strength. We are not coverages of his power. We are full of joy that all strength is his everything in us. Rejoice is to go out of ourselves and behold his power as if we had arrived at the celebration of the victory of a distance runner who had beaten us in the race and we found our greatest joy in admiring his strength rather than resenting our loss we find the deepest meaning in life when our hearts freely go out of ourselves to admire god's power rather than turning inward to boast in our own or even to think about our own we discover something overwhelming. It is profoundly satisfying not to be god but to give up all thoughts or desires to be god in our giving. Heed to god's power there rises up in us a realization that god created the universe for this so that we could have the supremely satisfying experience of not being god but admiring the godmanis of god. The strength of god there settles over us a peaceful realization. That admiration of the infinite is the final all satisfying and of all things.

Thirteen james harden a triple double with twenty points twenty three fourteen. Eleven hardens been fantastic playmaker. Those who've called him a selfish player have always said my beef with harden is. He doesn't knock down bigshots when it matters most in the playoffs. It's never been that. He's selfish by the way. His defense is underrated too. It's never been that. He's selfish. He the reason he took so many shots is. That's what this team needed him to do now. They need them to do other things. He's doing the other things. He's a great player but to be a you know an all time great player. He needs to hit shots in the playoffs. So those guys played really well. Kyri irving went for. That would have tied the game in order for the for the nets to win wide. Open three hundred. Another guy doesn't need clutch shots. Paul george mrs or else. Maybe the nets don't win. EU Reverses Move To Restrict Export Of COVID-19 Vaccines To Northern Ireland

"A mistake. That's how British Cabinet Minister Michael Gold is No describing the use sudden decision. To impose vaccine export controls of the Northern Irish border. The European Union quickly reverse that step after was loudly condemned as a violation. The key clause in the E U's Brexit deal with Britain, in other words, that there would be no hard border on the island of Ireland, but this crisis isn't over yet. Northern Ireland's First minister, Arlene Foster, Vehemently criticized the U. What's absolutely incredible act of hostility towards those of us in Northern Ireland. It was nothing to do with making sure that Northern Ireland was in a peaceful state and all to do with the European Union's vaccine, embarrassment and mismanagement. The prime minister and I need to act very quickly to do with the real trade flows that are being disrupted between Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Arlene Foster with you more, but that vaccine makes management shortly. But Mrs Foster also called on the British government to abandon and replace the existing post Brexit protocol for Northern Ireland. Agreed with you up until now. We've been trying to deal with these issues on individual bases, but the protocol is unworkable. Let's be very clear about that, and we need to see it replaced. Because otherwise there is going to be real difficulties here in Northern Army, Alan Foster again with us get more details on this. Richard Morgan is the BBC's business report. Hurry Northen Ireland, he explained the background to this reaction. This Roy is really as a result of the European Union looking to trigger what is known as article 16, which is ah clause within the Brexit agreement, the Northern Ireland's protocol. That essentially change is hard up protocol works and what was going to happen here is that if article 16 had been triggered, it was to control the supply of vaccinations. Throw it the EU and there were real concerns essentially that vaccines arriving in the Republic of Ireland. Could basically get into great Britain using Northern Ireland as a backdoor because Northern Ireland is still part of the EU single market for goods and there would be no checks, but one article 16 would have done Is created a hard border on the island of Ireland when it comes to vaccines. The whole point of preventing that hard border was to protect the good Friday agreement and to protect the peace process on this island. So, of course, it has escalated as you mentioned beyond vaccines. With Arlene Foster, now, basically calling for replacement of the Northern Ireland Protocol. Is there any chance that that would happen? Well, I think unionists it's worth saying or absolutely furious. They view this as Brussels about to hit the nuclear option. They already here the Northern Ireland Protocol because it has essentially placed a border die in the Irish Sea, requiring goods arriving in Northern Ireland. From Great Britain to undergo some checks and processes to prevent those checks happening on the island of Ireland, where the border currently is, and I think, essentially unionist, they're saying, Well, look, what process was willing to do At the first sign of any trouble of any problems on this was to do with vaccines. What could happen down the line? I has this set a precedent and could we see Article 16 being triggered for anything on any concerns that arise on what uncertainty will this create for businesses and for Northern Ireland's economy Because we'd already bean been seeing pictures of empty shells and Northern Ireland Linds supermarkets, So this comes at a time where there already were growing trade issues. Yeah, Things haven't been smoothed over the last couple of weeks. As you say Supermarket shelves have bean empty. There have been issues around getting certain goods across the Irish Sea Jew to those new checks. We have retailers, well known high Street stores, who have simply stopped selling goods to Northern Ireland on the online retailer Amazon. It's currently drawing up a list of products that it will no longer offer to customers in Northern Ireland's and this is really concerned business on politicians, particularly unionist politicians, who have been calling on Boris Johnson, the British prime minister, and the U. K government. Trigger article 16 themselves in order to ease the supply chain issues on. Many are saying that if solutions aren't find that tree, a disruption is only going to get worse as we get further into this

Why Todays Career Changers with Service Skills Can Find Opportunities Working in Tech

"What are some of the biggest tectonic shifts in the jobs landscape during those past two decades. Where are the opportunities for people now. Just starting to get into tech for twenty twenty one will over the next. Let's say ten years twenty twenty two twenty thirty. There's much faster than average growth expected for. It jobs overall in some of the greatest growth areas are still in the self development cyber security analyst spectrum girl by twenty eight percent over those ten years it support. Thirteen percent sa- last year in twenty twenty there were over eighty two thousand job postings for. It support specialists the number of job postings for it support specialist actually grew by a greater percentage when compared to software developers for example from twenty ten to twenty twenty it support. Specialist job ed's grew by one hundred twenty four percent a lot and compared to software developers. They still grew a lot to quite significantly They grew ninety eight percent ola to period but that was ninety eight percent for software developers versus hundred twenty four percent for support. Are any of those jobs. You think it'd be working from home in the newmarket is most of. It staff guam back into the office. Before i didn't even notice burning glass with track remote work at home opportunities at all in the job ads. And now i noticed they're always tracking it and we're always publicizing those type of numbers. So is that like a new phenomenon. Cova are we really tracking those numbers. Well we started looking at a few years ago and burning glaze his his at data going back to two thousand ten so we saw it trending up a little bit in prior years for example in twenty ten five percent of all. It job postings cited that either remote or work from home compared to last year in twenty twenty jumped to twenty two percent but it was already trending up like grow by one percent from twenty ten twenty seventeen two thousand eighteen eight percent of it. Job postings were remote work from home twenty nineteen there is a pretty big jump even from two thousand eighteen to twenty nineteen to fifteen percent but it was a significant drone from twenty nineteen at twenty twenty. After the pandemic i started it went from fifteen percent to twenty two percent so pretty considerable portion of it job types being worked from home or remote and from member bowls that we've run looks like the majority are considering even going forward still more employees to work remotely. I think that's fairly significant. If more than one out of every five. It jobs a rope from home right now. That's it the the ones being advertised. I should clarify that. Not just the ones in the market but also the ones being advertised that are open for people to get major changes l. Go back to how employees work and access. It wherever it may be from 'cause with that through cyber security concerns Data management in the skills that the. It employees intern need to be able to support all employees because of the effects of the pandemic last year we did see a majority of our member firms. Most of them are technology companies. They were going to continue to invest in technical training for their employees. In some of the top areas there were cybersecurity that was a top area. Sixty four percent of our own member companies. We're going to focus training efforts and cyber security cloud infrastructure and cloud locations technical. It support were the top areas. Were they can expect to see training support for employees. That's good to hear from the members especially because we do our own custom training program with amazon so they do a really good Career program for their own employees where they help pay for the tuition for them to get trained by. Come to you so that they can move from maybe the warehouse floor into. It jobs either. Four amazon or for other companies. Whichever works best for them. We always tell our graduates allowed him to be start on the help desk. You're gonna learn a lot of places where to go with intact but at that point then alive the more forward thinking employers and especially i would hope. It employers would be in that list. They'll help you get the certifications and the training you need in order to keep growing in your career. So it's good to see a lot of our own member. Companies are taking that same philosophy. Yes definitely a lot of different areas to grow into depending on your interest especially Various emerging technologies or save working for a different type of industry. You can really go after what you're interested. In business. intelligence data analysis networking there are gray salary opportunities for someone working in tech or wanting to move into a tuck position for example. The median salary for all occupations as the overall media and mrs according to the us bureau of labor statistics for twenty nineteen they Number was thirty nine thousand eight hundred and ten in so we're looking at just the tick patients. It's much greater median. Salary eighty eight thousand two hundred forty salaries range depending on location of course or companies as irs. Maybe someone's years of experience or The job role if we're looking for example at it support to decisions. The median salary for an it support specialists is fifty two thousand. Two hundred and seventy and that is thirty. One percent greater than the average for all occupations combined

"It really didn't make much sense to me, but I think that's all they know it's You know they don't understand that. Hey, these kids can do this work independently. Mrs Just, with blindness, we've seen it with other disabilities as well. It's it's kind of a cross before I think. and. Even with kids who maybe don't have disabilities. Are. Struggling in school they kind of just get pushed through and Sev- actually getting the health need which. Year. See made this point before that blind students and other disabled students should be learning the same things. The same skills that their sighted peers are learning at the same age. Yeah. The pace should be at the same at the same level. So if a second grader is doing keyboarding and working on a computer, then the second graders bondage on parents. You know should have had the hands on the keyboard not not even know what a computer is or Campbell was saying how hold she was before she learned that she would even turn it on. So you know she's fast catching up, but you know the the competition in the market for employment, the unemployment rate for disabled but blind visually impaired is phenomenally high they. They've quote figures well, above seventy percent. Well, I, think we're hitting it on the head of Y if we literally quote handicapped someone because we're not giving them the skills they need for employment when they're thirty or younger we're not doing them a favor giving them an assistant. Like lies with saying, they're not gonNA have that when thirty years old if they're able to get a job because as an employer, you're not GonNa want to hire somebody who's going to have a co person walking around with them. "The daycares were okay. I think for that. Some of the ground marketing on that thing with the crowd is student. That was a little later I think that's after Through your video pedo course when that came out on a sales in October and then you had some info net like how to talk to people on the phone so that help with that so before that I was a little skittish about calling other businesses you had like some for urban stuff now. That was pretty hopeful. Get so you. The first. Few months was kind of slow and steady. After about a year things seen we were picking up Steady now decently full schedule new patients and all that before Kobe. We enter best months so far and then when covert hit you know production just like cut in half because we're just doing -mergency Because of today sedation. You know I'd still 'cause the kids would come in and pain by the time they get to me. I could still see a chunk of those kids. A lot of the patients were understanding but moving their appointment. One or two was very upset. They there cleaning in their kid. I'm sorry it's ordered the governor in the CDs but yeah they're very upset like we'll make sure rescheduling we prioritize the ones that we had to move but yet we still had. I mean. There's two solid weeks. I saw him no patients. And you know the other because when if I'm relying on referral services in everyone else's closed than they're not referring anyone because they're not seeing anyone anyways and so I've noticed soon as things opened up we are referrals of spiked. Were Yeah we're definitely more than we did beforehand hand. I'm giving the other offices around and guesting have a backlog so they might be like wildest refers out so they can focus more on the adults. They haven't told me that. But that's Kinda my assumption that process. Yeah wh what has been so far like pre pre nineteen to you like your best production collection wise that that'd be March Because I was right before coded 'cause things every month would bump up two percent in our production numbers and then come April basically cut March and house all the CASK. What was in March like a re arrange? I mean we're startup. So we did between sixty and seventy how good. Yeah and then. It couldn't have said in April so then we just under thirty so then when they ordered like everybody to like okay close only emergencies. How were you feeling? What was your thought process in the sense of like how am I going to? What am I gonNA have to change in order to get through this? Yeah like everyone else. We're just constantly watching the news. Entrenches forgot what exactly is going on. How bad is this going to be An then trying to check in on the like a check. The governor would have an update every day at two so at watch that live every day. You'd have you know either on food like a facebook live or through his own website Or you know the governor stage and then Trying to get updates on that as you know is really unclear about what we you know. Could help add things we're going to be in the very early stages like I mean I was looking at like. Are we just going to be emergency? The next three months You know there's just so much unknown. We weren't really seeing any patients other than those emergencies. you take temperatures. We'd go history. They had any symptoms at all remotely would have to. We wouldn't seem for two weeks just in safe start. You know if I get everyone else. Anyone be fair to my team to get them sick or anything like that either. So but with all the downtime or accounts receivable like super high. That was actually a good time to be conned insurance companies. Because they were there. They picked up the phone a lot faster. So I've been told by. My Front desk came that they were able to clean up all those Claims and rethinks so we basically got caught up at the time. We can reopen And so that was that. Was You know big bird into get off because there was some claims like an address was wrong or sometime? There's this random issues that took a bit of research and the early stages you know we have a pretty small team so you know Belinda my front desk person that she is You know gets a phone call for a new patient. Even though she's in the middle processing acclaim you know. She doesn't WanNa make them wait. And then you know you might not get back to it or something like that was good to be able to clean all that up and I basically saw it as like a second second first day you know to try and now we can kinda putting the policies we wanted. KINDA REORGANIZED. A lot of stuff in cleaned out some cabinets. Why do we have this equipment? Mrs Just a waste of space Redid some standard operating procedures And then ordered a whole bunch of pe. Got The gowns masks. We can do a level. Three with the shield happened to have a few end and ninety five so my house. That was just like one box to have had really quick. Did you for low anybody or no earlier. Anybody your team. We had one play who Very concerned and so she kinda voluntarily furloughed for two weeks was concerned. About what like the WANNA get sick? Yeah with getting it from patient So you know. We discussed that and she went home for two weeks. The other patients Also when she was gone like way had one of the the people working from home so I set up a computer at her house and she was calling claims stuff from home and then when the other employees you know if they want work from home. I gave an option if it made sense particularly for front desk. "Risk youth. This is a thirty five year. Old Stresses Gender Male and an east coast city calling about a financial relationship question so I have a friend maybe a decade younger than me live somewhere out in the Midwest and over the summer I I lent her and her boyfriend some money because they were waiting for a settlement to come through they just needed twenty bucks to grab food stands for the weekend so I sent them two hundred and said go to town. Have a have a good weekend. If you're if you're okay let me know later ever since then pretty much toward the end of the month. Every month it has been frequent social media postings. Oh we need fifty bucks for this twenty bucks for this. This settlement from injury never came through. I'll never get the job etc etc and it comes into private messages over my social media asking if there's any way I can help and it just feels like the mounting drama is always a part of being friends with this person and feels like the financial need is always going to be a part of knowing this person reach out to my mother who is in a very similar situation. She's done a couple of grand from a big brother. Big Sister Program that she had to cut that family off after three years when group that they're never gonna be able to save a dime of whatever she lets them and I feel the same way of every part of me wants to help this person out however I can because I know personally how hard and expensive can America it is to be broke into. How hopeless it can be with a mental disorder and having landlords come at you for money but it breaks my heart when I have to tell this person no and I kind of just want validation of M. I. Right to cut the personal after a certain time or a certain dollar amount of you can't keep coming to me every week because every months. Your landlord is threatening to kick you out or every month. You got disapproved for food stamps or every month I. I know that I'm not being played heavily. Suspect I'm not being played but it also breaks my heart to not be able to help this person out as frequently as they want to. What do you think I should do? Is it time to cut this person off or should I just sit up a weekly twenty dollars donation page just to give them a hand? Usually when I get a financial relationship question these days. It's finished on. This isn't Phinda. Mrs Just Opportunism. Some people think domes the kind of opportunism but I think this is opportunism on your friends part you asked or they asked if you could spare twenty bucks to help them out with a little bit of food and you sent two hundred and told them to go to town and they had gone to town on asks on hitting you up for more and more money when you set the two hundred. In addition to the money you sent a message that you very generous and that you had money to spare and that you could make it rain as they say and so they've continued to hit you up for money. I think you need to reassess this friendship because they live in a different city. You only hear from them when they want money much of friendship. Is this right now? And Is it worth to you to keep them in your life if having them in your life just means these asks these requests and the guilt and anxiety that these requests in these asks of the rate they come in and how predictable they are at this point clauses? You and sounds to me like the answer is no sounds to me. Like you're calling seeking permission to end this relationship to cut these folks off. You have my permission. You have been more than generous for a long time. And in that time. They should have done whatever it is. They needed to do to get themselves into a position where they wouldn't have to be hitting up a generous friend in the way that they've been hitting you up so tell them you have no more money to spare. Tell them you wish them. Well tell them you hope that they can get it together but you are tapped out. Door DASH has something for every lifestyle on the go..

Okay Larry Construction Larry Yup today returned from working and outing at around date. I set my work computer and my personal computer on the dining room table now. She talks about eating her dinner and talks about her recipe. It's fucking really but she'll go. WHOA hold on what? What was she tell you? Here's here's another she asking for help or I mean but she's like she's like she's weaving leaving this this narrative here. Here's what she says. I set both my work computer and my personal computer on the dining table. I wanted to get some work done and also some quick cooking. I put rice in the pot and washed my Broccoli for steaming more. Gosh that is an incredible level of detail about thirty minutes later. Larry comes into the kitchen. He asked to turn off the lights. I'm a little confused by but I say that it's okay. I'm working in the dining room anyway. Plus the dining room is connected to the kitchen so the light of the dining room leaks into the kitchen. A bit later he has something is mine. It's a watermelon with mold on it. I say it's not. He throws it away in the trash. Okay this is rather normal. Okay okay this yeah. This is some roommates shit right. Yeah okay so far. Everybody's playing by the roommate rules. Yes one hundred percent a couple minutes later. He has to help me with something. I'm I'm sorry a couple of minutes later. He asked me to help him with something. I asked him what he wants. I can't hear him so I moved closer to him. He's about three feet away. He says says something and I still can't hear so I asked him again. He tells me that he wants had I tell him no and he asked me why not I tell him that. I'm not interested in him. He asked me if I have a boyfriend and tell him that I do. I also tell them that were roommates. And I'm just not interested he leaves. I'm feeling really uncomfortable right now. I can't really think straight I don't know what to do. I feel like I can't tell my sister or my mom. They're going to be upset with me. I just moved here and I don't know if I can tell my friends either. I I was thinking about maybe getting coffee with one of the girls in the house. I could ask her if she's had problems with Larry or anyone else. I don't even know what I would do. If I learned learned that he has done a things to people here for me problem like where do I go. What is the process and could things get better? Guy Was just having a joke. It didn't really feel like it but I'm also not the best humor. I have a hard time watching. STAND UP COM- Jesus. "One of the biggest months in, in wrestling at a very long time because AWOL would've Ori. Yes. Thank you. Yes. We'll get the impact maybe. But this is a big deal. It's a big month and it's it would be a big deal, just with AWB deal just with FOX, which you combine the two of them. Wow. I mean just clear your calendar, if you're not just a wrestling fan, but, you know and shows like this, I think people are wrestling fans but they're also fans of just following the industry and the trends in the ebbs and flows the ups and downs and the personalities and the drama behind the scenes. And, and, you know, the, the, the east coast, west coast, sh digs that are taken by different personalities at others. And that kind of thing this is going to be fun. What, what is a successful? Viewership number four eighty w on TNT TNT doesn't do a million viewers very often smackdown and raw do consistently above two million raw this week. You know, the, the third hour barely stayed above two million two point zero eight million. It started at over two point five million smackdown this week did one point eight two seven million. The lowest viewership total in the show's history this week, by the way. What's realistic for aid? And what's a good number for TNT, which, again for context, other than the NBA rarely does more than a million viewers, unless it's like a marquee movie. They buy rights to Lord, I don't, I don't even know just haven't had time to really wrap my mind around that TNA did seven hundred thousand on in that million range for a stretch on spike different era. Big names, part of the show during some of that stretch, although yeah, so I don't I don't know what to expect landscapes different. I mean one TV industry source said that he thinks a million is doable on the first week and TNT would love it and seven hundred thousand our above would be a success for TNT at this point. I think if Awa does that and it's not a disaster and a disaster would be three hundred thousand like impact, you know, level numbers from a couple of years ago, custodian just can't have a show doing that number on their on TNT as. Much as TNT once they're shell other from herself. But there are just a greatly reduced network at this point compared to the nineties, my take an with the TV industry source seven hundred thousand plus out of the gate. Good something to build on a million great deal. AWS should say, let's negotiate right now for a better deal. And, but I'd say five hundred thousand or below is, oh, this could be the plug could be pulled this, this the popularity of the product, you know, for the YouTube videos for being the elite doesn't, you know, doesn't translate can't project that out by ten or five to get the viewership numbers for weekly TV. I don't know. I mean I can't wait till mid October. When we get these numbers. It's so hard to say I mean, I so much of it's going to depend on the marketing push to how are they willing to both Awa and Turner, get behind this, and really try to spread the word. I mean, you're gonna have your core wrestling audience for sure. What can you get beyond that, you know, how many casual fans can you attract to this, and, you know, being in the heart of, of NBA see early on in the NBA season that's going to help if you don't get their swimming that they're willing to deliver some promotion for the for show or hopefully beyond that I that can only help them? I mean, I gosh, I mean, I think a million is doable. I mean I, I know it airs after the smackdown show but I mean, the, the mizzen MRs show is topped two million viewers last night, or on Tuesday night at and that's kind of crazy. When smackdown does one point eight two seven million. And for some reason, MS and MRs. Just below nine hundred thousand the week before. So I didn't expect it's kind of been like win smack downs numbers down. So as MS and MRs and for whatever reason this week that wasn't the case. So I mean that and then you mentioned impact, I mean, they would top a million viewers at one point. I think if you the key is just letting people know and.

"Other thing to note, and you know, knows much better than I do with that has been just like very continuous upward trend. You know, the seasonal swings. But there seems to be like a very smooth for trend over the last years, and it's continues to be up. What's continuous trend this out? Yeah. So that's, you know, so if you look in the survey data, so the openings labor turnover survey, you can just see. Yeah. Enough for a trend over the last several years, but I think, you know, something special I think about this year where just just one hundred thousand more job openings this year compared to last it's it's really this is kind of upper trend with with like, wow. Twenty eight teen is going to be a big year. I think in terms of capital invest. I think it's also really interesting to see that, you know, some companies are taking different approaches. So I'm even mentioned most companies are hiring more seasonal workers part of their shadow G. But y'all see some businesses like wal mart also saying, well, we're going to try last couple of years they've tried instead. Converting more part time workers a full-time, and then also trying to use more fulltime and also saying, well, you know, this may not get us all the way there. And so we're going to try to use more capital investments to try to save on labor. So it's kind of interesting to see how this a lot of companies have different strategies for how they're trying to to just a seasonal demand. And and what's remarkable if I'm really curious on Yvonne's take on this. But it'd be like a one best way to create a worker. You know, it'd be surprised that you'd see like some companies. Like, Amazon, we're going to get rid of MRs just waiting to our hourly wages and others that say, you know, we're going to try to raffles or or or or things like view to our bigger discounts to try to to to lure workers. And dissect the variation of of what different companies are doing even though the competing in the same space. Really interesting. Yvonne. Yeah. It is you know, that that's companies often trying various things so. But also what what what people have to appreciate most companies really don't do their own hiring. You know, they use other services who do the hiring for them. And at the big scale like this and not just the hiring. But also the whole payment processes, you know, I'm not really done in house anymore. So and that's what that means for the hiring. It's it's I often find that companies are more creative and versatile in terms of the hiring practices, and these external companies who basically servicing a lot of different companies, depending on who needs employers. So yeah, but Amazonas big for better worse. And it was interesting to see that they have committed to increasing the wages and it because they're such a big player. It will be interesting to watch for me in the next year. All ready the season, but other other companies have suit and this kind of employment. This it, you know, it's interesting on because, you know, even though Amazon is is increasing their pay. I mentioned that they're still going to have about one hundred thousand holiday workers during this upcoming season. But that number's actually down from from a year ago. So should there be any concern that that overall number of holiday workers is declining a little bit? It's it's not to talk to say what to make of this data. You know? You look at one data point and various ways to look at it. This is an early sign that you know, because of the as I say because of terrorists, and I mean, it makes clothes are big chunk of holiday sales and most of these items where traditionally or upper used in China, and because the price of these commodities increase and the profit margins have deaf all shrunk, you know, they might see that we actually don't need to use as many people as before. But you know, I don't know whether we can attribute the drop in the hundred thousand dollars to to that on thing is to say now. Yeah, I think it's also like whereas really hard to tell you know, different companies are going to have different strategies in terms of how they're like when they're bringing in work hers..

"If may be bundling system updates with apps in the same interfaces may be being a problem in terms of performance as for example now us you do not get the irs update our within the update tab of the apps or but on the mac you get system updates you get security updates and you get beta saw for updates from the makeup store and i have asked myself whether diseases may be a problem because it complicates things any makes the entire thing slow and prone to these problems yeah that's an interesting point and really thought about that but i mean the the issue of the of the spinners so bad that we had an article on and i was a year or two ago really is tj the walmart added how to fix that while how to get past the spinner yeah it's it's not great the other thing i found it is really hard to deal with and mrs just because of the way i have my apple ids are set up is that i have a separate apple id for mind stuff on the on the app store and for some reason the mac app store to log me out and because my email for both apple ids is very similar if i don't notice it defaults to my i cloud i d two login on the store and i've more than once logged in with wrong apple id and then bought software fortunately you can still use all that software doesn't make it unusable if you have to apple ids and download the software under each of them onto your on your mack but to get the updates you have to kind of login and log hour that and making sure terrible every time there's there's certain apps that i use fairly frequently that i unfortunately bought under my i cloudy male by mistake and then after slog out of my main story d and it's just it's just one of those things it's it's a it's kind of a bad user experience because it first of all shouldn't log me out just just randomly and second of all why it should defaulter whatever whatever i last used i think in terms of my my lagen i remember from a couple of years ago there was this problem.

"Mmm so cnn money had an article about foxconn mrs just from a few days ago knit cited the unemployment rate in wisconsin at three point two percent which is very very low so it's interesting that uh you know that in a state that has a large rural population you know in his state that we're hearing about these kinds of issues about you know healthcare and things like that that it's a state with such low unemployment do you think there's anything that that number is may be hiding a little bit our wages still fairly low despite the low unemployment are people working the kind of jobs they want to be working i think you're nb immune unemployment number it doesn't talk about that wages have been stagnant wisconsin since governor walker was elected people can have a job but if you have to work sixty hours a your job or have chewed jobs so that you can afford to have your house and pay for your health care that it's not really the job that really takes care of you and your family and i expect governor walker to be touting that number a ton but he's not gonna be touting the fact that the average middleclass family is not do any better today than they were the first time he ran into the unemployment numbers vary greatly depending on what area for state urine so if you're on the north side of the milwaukee that unemployment numbers you know twenty percent or better.
