Clifton Truman Daniel with us talking about the 75th anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshi Emma, August 6. Nagasaki on August August 9th. Mr Daniels, also the honorary chair. The board of trustees of the various Truman Library Institute. You've also written a couple of books about your your grand parents. Your dear Harry loved best. Did you ever Did you ever ask your grandmother about the bombing of Hiroshima? No, no, I did not again and and going back to whether I asked my grandfather or my grandmother when we saw them. I mean, they were Gambian Grandpa, and we saw them on family vacations. And these were also vacations from school. So the last thing I was looking for was another history lesson I was and my grand mother the same way I I didn't. I didn't ask her about the bombings. That said, I don't think that my grandfather, certainly or my grandmother would have told me anything differently than they would have told you or anybody in the audience. My grandfather was remarkably open and consistent in his views, and there was nothing that family was I've learned that the public would not know that he died. That written or spoken. Let me go back for just two seconds to say to Joe and Wilmington. It was nice to hear from somebody from Wilmington since I lived there for 15 years before moving to Chicago. I worked on Star news, and it was in Wilmington at the end of a day full of ceremonies marking the 50th anniversary of the end of the war in 1995 that I first met Pacific War veterans and they were actually trying to get ahold of my mother, Margaret Truman. They were trying to assuage left an event they were. They were trying to snag her sleeve and talk to her and they didn't get our sheet. The crowd moved on, and she she got pulled away. But my wife and I stayed behind and asked if there was something we could do for them, And both of these men had tears in their eyes. Way asked them what's wrong? And they said nothing. Nothing. We just wanted to thank her. If her father hadn't dropped that bomb, we wouldn't be here. Pacific War veterans understand you are also very vocal and encouraging. Former President Obama to visit Panin, 2016. Why was that? Because again in the interest of being open and honest about it, decisions were made horrible decisions in a war. Dan Carlson, historian and podcaster listen years ago to one of his podcasts, and one of the things he said struck me, He said. The atomic bombings were certainly an atrocity, but they were the last atrocity in a war full of atrocities. It was a horrible Devastating more people make decisions in wartime, that air fatal to thousands and thousands millions of people. So if we're if we're going to learn from this, you have to keep talking about it. You have to be open and honest about it. And what do you think President Obama accomplished during that trip? I thought that I thought he did exactly the right thing. He went and he listened. He paid Hey, laid a wreath. Hey, visited the peace park. Spoke to survivors, one of them one of the survivors that I believe he gave a hug to Shigeaki Mori and Mr Morey was a survivor of the bombing but also spent about 25 years of his life and a lot of his own money. Finding out exactly what happened to the 12 Americans who were killed in Hiroshima. They were prisoners. They were they were airman. I think Navy and Army Airman Ah mixed group who were prisoners in Basement cells in the Chugoku military police headquarters downtown in Hiroshima. Nine of them died immediately from the explosion, but three survive severely poisoned by radiation. They died within a day or two. But not much was known about what happened to them and their families back here in the states didn't know Mr Mori discovered that that a lot of the people he was interviewing for for other survivors for other stories were drawing pictures of Americans in Hiroshima, and so he tracked down every lead and was able to find out what happened to the men both to let their families know in this country but also to memorialize them with the other victims of Hiroshima. About 10 more minutes left with our guests will get to your calls. Go back to our call. Violin Newjersey Mickey. Good morning. Good morning. Uh, I don't like tell you my father on Ah, for seven of mild horse where a World war two when they fought, you know theaters from Europe away through the Pacific and all of this, In fact, my father was normally Brought in a barrel bulge. They walked in the Germany into a concentration camp in Germany, and they told me even though he had for two of the biggest battles in history. They never realized how terribly human being can treat another human being until we walked in that concentration camp, But this here about the atomic bombs, I like to put that in perspective what the atomic bombs dropped on Japan did Was it ended a war. Where was an estimated 70. 85 million people were killed during that war and those atomic bombs put an end to it. Uh, thank you. Okay. Thank you. Yeah, Again, the debate goes on. I find myself thinking. I said earlier that in the middle of this I I cannot will not tell the Pacific War veteran that those bombs were not a good idea. They had been through so much already on and fought for their country and had endured a lot, But I also can't tell a survivor of Hiroshima, Nagasaki. The bombs were a great idea. They too suffered and it's that's what I try to look at. It's the human suffering and, you know The sacrifice on both sides. You have to look at the human stories and understand what happened. And what that means is Caroline Isa Talk it New York Good Morning and hello. I just want to tell another side. My saw. There was a there. Corman in New Guinea. "Not thin skin that way. I have no, the best guys in the business and they're on this show. I'm always amazed when I can get in the course of a year's time. 80 or 90 very positive emails on one of my friends on the show of this dealership, and one person writes with a bad experience. But again, I get involved in that because I was part of that transaction. Because I said, that's one of the best people in the business. And if you doubt that I have the last email I'm going to bring you today. This guy wrote me and I messed up on it. But I think his email is going to be valid for a lot of you, he writes, may hope you're safe. I bought my GMC Train because of your show from classic in Arlington. 2018. I've already driven 120,000 miles on it. Wow, he said, But I have a problem. The radio interface. The issues are the presets are great out on the FM and am preset classic states. I can't fix it until the manufacturer General Motors Has a fix in the software. It's been over a year now and nothing I tried to take care of this before the warranty ran out, but there is no fix. Still a fan and I answer back. You put 120,000 miles on this drain in two years. Yeah, I'm still not quite sure what you're referring to. So he explained it a bit more and again. I was party to this. I told him Darren Lancaster and his kids run the best beer GMC store anywhere. They're just great people. And so he has a problem, not with them. But with his train and a GM that seems to be dragging their feet on a fixed for it, So he wrote me back, he said. The infertile the info interface that controls radio Bluetooth connection camera while backing up Sits in the middle of the dash, and it's just great out. So He talked that he talked to brand over there a game a print out. That all GMC is with this particular system have the same problem so I want you to know I messed up. It was my fault. I don't know how I did it. But whenever somebody writes me with a complaint Or an issue. On someone on this show for any reason. I leave it active in my e mail file. I answer all my e mails and I'll leave it active. Just what I do until it's resolved and the guys on the show. Ask any of them. If I asked him about the deal, I may ask about two or three times. Let's get this fixed. What is the problem? What are we waiting on? We're actually waiting on a fix from General Motors that they seem to be dragging their feet on for over a year. Somewhere along the line. I did delete that email. While we were still researching what the problem, Wass. And so he wrote me back, and I had to write him and say, I'm glad you wrote. Because I had forgotten about it and for the record Any issue like this. I keep in the active email window, so it's always there to remind me Until you wrote me the other day. That's the first time I realized your email was gone. That being said. I shipped it over to Adam again. Adam Lancaster, the general manager on Friday. I'll follow up on Monday morning and I want everybody to know. Okay. It took a while. But Adam wrote me back, he said. We may have actually found the fix for it. And we think we can re flash and fix it. And he wrote me back and said, I'm sending you an update. Classic GMC. Contact me Bring my vehicle back in. They ran that update for the radio software on all my presets are working again. E said many thanks for helping me out on this. Wish you all the best and that is what I do with friends on the show. When we have a complaint they don't happen happened. How often hardly ever But I'm party to that because I told him these are really the best people. Now we got a problem. Jim Heartache will tell you had an issue with his store that day. Got the border Jeep Gladiator from him. And guess what. I'm party that I'll be glad to help. But if you go elsewhere to buy a car, that's wonderful if that's what you want to do, great. But for legal reasons, I don't comment on issues with other dealers. Dave Lieber, The Dallas Morning News is a wonderful consumer advocate. But I don't know the people who get both sides of the argument. I don't even sometimes know the people there to get somebody that may or may not care about whether your problem gets fixed and some of the dealerships or just Horrible by reputation. But what really gets me is when I get this and you answer it, and then all said, everybody gets put out like somehow. We're the problem. That would be wrong. Mr Daniels will tell you on his drain that was wrong. Almost everybody will tell you that's written me with a problem over the years and again, not many with anyone on the show. We take it seriously and I get it handle period. But for those who don't think we do that, by elsewhere Don't get mad at me because you use the dealership out of convenience. Those of you that we're out on the road with us throughout those concert years, and he was there at many of them just amazing man, and it was reflected in his music, and it's reflected and how he lived his life. By definition. I mean, great and faithful servant. They were John. And Yes, sir. You gandered formation. You're picking the patch. Yeah, I'm gonna go with the Hawks. You go in the Hawks. It's always what? What? Well, I just thought before we get into the business of Mr Daniels, the legend here I was also was going to introduce my buddy. My friend, my pal, The great Patriot. The great football fan, The one of the greatest country only haven't done early manuals is here. I love what I did, and And when you love what you do, you don't mind going to work here? People say I have to go to work. I never had to go to work. I always looked forward to a fictional stage people, but I take it you're being detained, and that's what I do. But only another plant the songs that I believe in. But somebody has my pain because I'm a stated that everybody should this be a totally completely different country. If everybody would just express their opinions and not some piece of stuff. They've heard. Somebody repeat, how much stuff you get your email. That is nothing but just a rewrite races and things you know. And if you found the word racist, and the word is the word bigot. The word fascist don't mean anything anymore because it's used by people who have no idea what it means. And you've been a good friend. Thank you. So of you. God bless you, Charlie Daniels. When the devil finished, Johnny said,.

"Hey, I just passed away and now I'm trying to get you. What's your name? My name is Charlie Daniels. And I'm a musician. It says you you beat the devil in a fiddle contest is a true that's correct. And it also says you spend your life Helping military veterans and making people happy. That's what some people say Yes, it's quoted impressive Mr Daniels. Will you get to go straight to heaven? You do not have to wait in purgatory, Your friend's Wayland, Johnny and Merle. Are already waiting for you inside. Enjoy the rest of eternity. Mr. Daniels. Devil went down to Georgia. He was looking for a soul of steel. He was in a bag He was way behind and was willing to make a deal. When he came across this next song. I was at a story with a beginning a middle and an ending, And I wrote a lot of stuff that would that would be swell kid Devil out of Georgia and a lot of songs that just worked Story's not mind operated that way. And one good thing about a story song that kind of time. This is not, you know, It's not in a bad or style that will go out of town. The next generation had chance to understand. Like women have songs like that has been good for us, Matthew 28 night to commands us to go forth on evangelize, make disciples of All nations. We all have different skill sets. Talents. Were all placed into Different situations. A workplace, a school, a church? The Little League field. Professional sports organization. Some of us are on stage and some of us are running sound of some of us are running security and some of us are in the audience. Some of us are waiting the tables and some of us are cleaning up afterwards and some of us are taking tickets. But we all have a role to play. Charlie Daniels took that role seriously. If every one of us does our part It's not going to solve every problem. We get some real systemic problems in this country. And it ain't racism, at least not by white people. Get some real systemic problems in our universities in our schools. Our households. And in the streets and we've seen it. If we all do our part Wherever we are the way Charlie Daniels did. If we use the voice we have in our household in our community. Will solve these problems. Rest in peace. Charlie Daniels. Your work here is done. So sports has become. Not what it once was. Which was a great get away from the real world. Left said No, No, we're not gonna We're not gonna let you have that either We're going after it. We're going after we're going after it Hard to do it in the MBA. They're doing it in the NFL. Tucker Carlson had a great bit on this where he quotes Former NFL player Now Fox Sports one commentator Marcellus Wiley. Talking about Black lives matter, and then he goes from there, too, And he's talking about the MBA. Then he goes to Jason Whitlock, speaking to This black national anthem being played at the games. It's It's all crazy, but I'll let these guys and this is what we need. We need more blacks speaking out, we need more whites speaking out, we need more people speaking out. And telling your truth as Charlie Daniels did. Here we go. Well in these ideologically perilous times. It turns out that some of the most daring truth tellers are sports commentators. You wouldn't have expected that it has turned out to be true. After the N B a announced it plans to paint black lives matter on courts when they resume this year from NFL player Marcellus Wiley did what almost no journalist has done in the past month. He directly criticized BLM watch. I don't know how many people really look into the mission statement of Black lives matter, but I did. And when you look into it, there's a couple things that jump out to me being a father and a husband. That's my mission in life right now. How do I reconcile that? What I just told you with this mission statement that says, quote, we dismantled the patriarchal practice. We disrupt the Western prescribed nuclear family structure requirement. Children from single parent homes vs two parent homes The Children from the single parent homes this's in 1995 hours reading this five times more likely to commit suicide six times. More likely to be in poverty, not talk more likely Drop out of high school 10 times more likely abuse chemical substances 14 times more likely to commit rape 20 times more likely end up in prison and 32 times more likely to run away from home. I knew that. You know why I knew it because a lot of my friends didn't have family structures that were nuclear like mine, and they found themselves outside of their dreams and goals and aspirations. Both Is a brave man there. One of the reaction was internally to them. Is anyone listening in professional sports? NFL now plans it says to play the song, lift every voice and sing a beautiful song. So called black national and before every game, along with the anthem that you're used to hearing nothing against the song again, very pretty song. But does this mean we have separate anthems for separate races? Is that a good idea for the country or not? Nation. Whitlock is a writer and partner at out kick dot com used to host with the man You just saw on Fox Sports weren't happy to have him on tonight. Jason..

"Purdue University president Mitch Daniels Mr Daniels the big question that it's on everybody's mind right now in the midst of this corona viruses will Perdue returned any sense of normalcy coming of this August I don't think anything will be entirely normal is Paul Walker Nigel and in some ways maybe not there after but will be here will be involved in the process of of teaching and learning and developing young people wouldn't be doing it in some different ways that protect them and protect those around them and you know it them at Purdue and whatever else we do here we think of ourselves as problem solvers not just our engineers that everybody here and so we see this is a set of important problems to tackle so our our freshman disappointment but incoming freshmen are still accepting offers for the fall for progress they are and although we don't fully understand it for the moment for the moment are enrollment looks as strong as we expected it to be we thought people might wait to hesitate we gave families an extra month as many schools did and so somewhat Dara the Spanish meant enrollments are very very strong here and we we look forward to welcoming yet another record class perhaps this fall Jason hammer here how was the online the learning going right now at the college level my wife is a teacher at the high dose elementary school level and I know they weren't prepared for this many days of E. learning how's it going at the college level Jason better than we might have expected we had a little head start I think we've been pretty active in this area do for some time and so it wasn't completely unfamiliar to us that our faculty use their spring break to transform over five thousand different courses to some form of remote learning and we managed surprised pleasantly so so far it's how smoothly it has seen to go now we have to think our students for their patience and forbearance and rolling with us on that but I really feel for our friends in K. twelve because we couldn't be expected to have a being as experienced as as we were and so you know bless them for the the efforts and they're making what they're going through speaking with Purdue University president Mitch Daniels on the hammer Nigel show Mister Daniels is there I I'm assuming you form some sort of of a corona virus task force in their meeting daily to try to plan for some sort of opening of the campus once the once abandoned occurs over to is there a task force that's been formed and and who is on the task force and what kinds of things are they talking about I'd say we have two groups what one is it operational group is working right now on the nitty gritty issues of finishing this semester strong and getting everybody it to them to whatever finish line of credits for graduation they were headed for and then here correct hi I did ask a cross section of some of our most talented people and we got a lot of smart people appear to help us think through all the ways I we intended Purdue be the best share the safest and best prepared campus to manage with this a virus which is unfortunately still going to be with us this fall we won't all have natural immunity by then we won't have a vaccine and so the question is how do you reconfigure the way we teach the way we house we we feed the way we operate so that we absolutely minimize the incidence of any disease and we if if somebody catches it we make them comfortable and protector of any else from getting it from them what message would you like to tell those seniors of this year who unfortunately are not going to get that you know moment in the sun of walking across the stage in front of their family and friends to grab that diploma yeah it is it is such a darn shame units in a special shame here Purdue did you all may know this but for about the last school our size that gives every single individual that moment and we go all out six six ceremonies in the spring to do it and so it was especially poignant us that nobody really can have that kind of a massive anymore then in here what I think is a typical boilermaker response our folks at all right fine who does some cells all said we can't have put on the best commencement America let's put on the best virtual commencement and so we will there will be a Hey broadcast people can watch it at the time and place of their choosing there will be a what amounts to a party box somebody called it and and our graduates will be able with their loved ones around them a time and place of their choosing to see here their own name called here the same music and speeches where the cap and gown and receive their diploma it'll this happened at home or somewhere else as opposed to here now it all through university president Mitch Daniels here on the hammer and Nigel show have you had a chance to speak with governor Holcomb lately I would imagine you guys are in communication in regards to what's happening around the state just playing a little Monday morning quarterback here as somebody who has literally been in that seat how would you grade a governor Holcomb Indiana's response you know I've been very careful and I'm going to continue to be not to be a second guesser or not really comment on it I need any my successors I do believe the state is handled this very responsibly and is certainly doing those things they think are are best for us all I mean I don't bother anybody there had occasional conversation but not not not not really privy to anything that you aren't but no I think that David made the a best call they could based on the advice they've been given and the situations involving and so I believe will their policies Mr Daniels what what is a sports looking like a party of the football training camp coming up here before too long and certainly work with lots of other areas in the sporting world it have you had any discussions there may be having games without fans what kinds of conversations if you had the long those lines well I'm worried and yes we talked about it a whole lot here and has handed down elsewhere and once again we can hope for the best but the the whole list of things for the moment is against the idea of large crowds gather together and so I'm but I do hope we can do something about it but the they won't be our decision to make obviously they'll be it'll be that's when it'll be made it's not a national level at a at a Nancy double a in conference level but again huge disappointment first of all for our spring athletes who lost the season and now we do have to worry that this thing whatever else were able to do come August September October it might not involve you might not include thousands and thousands of people in a confined space and best case scenario let's say by September things are okay they are allowing fans in the stands is the I. you suck chants still frowned upon is that still frowned upon what we're concerned about well it is you know I'm I'm a free speech advocate I was glad when it when it and of course because they wanted with our students really taking the lead on that because that you know it's time to move to something else and I didn't think it was I didn't do it reflected the best of our of our character appear and Mister Daniels just so I'm clear but just following up on the sports question and I know it's not the most important thing but it's something I'm I'm curious about or are you more leaning towards possible the the possibility of having having games having contests between teams just no fans in the stands or is it all on the table at this point terms of possibly not having a season what we have to take a safety first approach is as society has up to now and I just for me to imagine games with no with no fans some people talk about limiting the number of fans so you can have lots of distance right still the issue of the players themselves with coaches who takes a lot of people before the first fan comes in through the gates his takes a lot of people to put on a game and so you may know I'm I'm in an incredibly into the S. exports fan and so they'll be nobody more disappointed than I if we have to skip some we have an abbreviated season is another idea that's been floated but I just don't have any special insight I'll just go back to where we started and say that is looking at this that the factual situation I'm worried last question here for a Purdue University president Mitch Daniels it's a tough time for a lot of people financially right now you look at the unemployment numbers this outbreak has just devastated the economy hi how was tuition going at Purdue right now we you may know it tuition it is the same here as it was in twenty twelve room and board is cheaper with I think we're the only school around it I can say we're we're less expensive now than we were eight years ago on and so we believe that that kind of policy now looks especially important and we intend to continue pursuing it we'll do everything we can to make this an affordable accessible place that's the kind of place produce always been and we want to remain that way so however else we manage your affordability will still remain our priority university president Mitch Daniels thank you so much for taking some time and coming on to him or not it'll show with us anytime thanks ramming thanks a lot thank you so much great show things thinks.

"This was still a classic sound coach Luis in the studio tonight. He assembled multitudes. And you did a Facebook. Right. And it was fans that you had posted. And the idea was for people to figure out which one you were lying about ever seeing in concert. Right. So you listed, or the Banja listed, rush, steely Dan fish, which most people don't believe, like why would I go see fish paid hippie so much? What do you look like that? Then I this is this is. I don't care. I'm donating my hair to locks for love. Oh, that's about a year over the other bands iron maiden. And then Chicago. One person. Got it right. Dave Bartlett, from the Adirondacks, a good, buddy of mine said he had a very deduced sort of way of algae. Yeah. And he, he nailed Chicago. I've not seen Chicago but I play in a band. It's very similar. You know what we have something in common? I haven't seen fish either. No. I've seen Chicago. Yeah. Great great. Absolutely great time J ever seen Chicago and concert, your Mike's not on. I have not seen probably a good thing. I have seen Casey and the sunshine band horn section that surprises me. For free down at Sawyer point like seventeen or eighteen and we thought there would be a good time there and Huma bleejon we were hammered drunk before we even got there, and there was a dude playing saxophone for money outside of the park. And we stood washed him for longer than we were in the concert. Oh, I've seen that guy. It was it was. He was good. Was he the roster guy? Jason goodall. You've seen any of those bands. I I've seen none of those, but the one I remember half ways the moody blues, I've seen them. After the concert, but I don't know. I saw rush with my wife, Chris two point. Oh, the first time we were together, so flare cool like three times. Steely Dan, the first time they toured in like forever. Nineteen ninety ever seen lamb of God. No. At the good Christian band. How about bare naked ladies? That's a good band. I have seen bare naked ladies. No, you haven't you just thought about I've seen bear. So, yeah. Nick in Hamilton. Hello, nick. Tonight doing fine. What, what's his about Chicago cover band? Cocco cover band out of Russia. I have seen them. In fact, you may have called me on this last year. And we actually. We dredged them up and found him on YouTube and played a little piece and they sounded just like Chicago. Fantastic. You know, I'm a musician myself. And I've had the pleasure music like in, in high school my junior, high school we did a Chicago, sweat, and tears half talk show and that. Thanks. Chicago was pouring in Cincinnati. That got a hold of them other manager, and they donated three hundred tickets to bring the two hundred forty member marching band down to remember, Ben. Join a show to now Nick I have a question why the tube? You know, if you look at me, you probably wouldn't affect question, but it's just something I always wanted to play you. It started out. You always wanted to play the to hold on. Hold on, guys. Nick, you. You're lying. Nick, you took up the Tubassi, get laid chick MAC. Oh. Here tiny thing in the marching band and I saw the script Ohio and I thought, man, that's a cool. Looking thing isn't that the oboe oboe player the next thing. Thanks for the call, Nick. Player in the marching band who's n J Armstrong. No way. And you took it up to get laid, I know it worked. I was like a layer. And my, my band director was, like, hey, we need somebody to March for baritone. You can read either treble where basically for baritone. Do you, would you mind? Fingerings are all the same. And I was like, yeah. I'll do that. And then the next year, he was, like, hey, we need a tuba player. And I was like, I'm not really interested in playing the two or learning based cliff, and so Mr. Daniels, re rewrote all the music and treble cleft from you play onto fantastic. Daniels name. That's the consequence of Jay's highschool decisions is courage shoulder. Now, I feel like those are unrelated, but my shoulders do sit differently because we didn't have sousaphone we do with them like marching adapter for the mouthpiece. Which so you had to hang on one shoulder. Just as extravagant. Quit playing football. Though when you were in school didn't the chicks dig the tuba player I in the marching band. I mean that's, that's the first place that chicks co. I thought it was a fluke player. Yeah. The guy the guy that's blown the tube. That's what the chicks dig they go after him because they know he's clean. Are marching band? Insane. I would say probably a third of his or felons now. Wow. Fairfield? Mcken independent. Absolutely. All right. Morrison more of this riveting conversation when we return, it's the nightcap on seven hundred wwl w with the iheartradio app, you can listen to.

"Me. And Chris rock is just so funny, so sharp if you've seen him live you going to one of his live shows is terrific. But most of us live stuff's been now it shot, and then turned into some kind of special, but he's a great. He does that kind of thing, and he'll broil many a high profile figure with a sort of social commentary. That's very funny now to Saturday Night Live now, again, this is a departure for them. Right. Usually, they do a lot of Trump stop and all that. So here they jump on the Jesse train. So this is an office where jesse's agent is there with the top people at the show empire Daniels among them. So this is the SNL sketch. The bottom line is we don't want to work with your client anymore. Just give Jesse another chance why he doesn't care about this job anymore. He's two hours late for this meeting me not to mention what he's already put us through. Just Malek was a victim. Oh, police Mr. Daniels. I have represented Jesse his entire career. I am sure. There is a very reasonable explanation for why he's so late right now. Well, I just hope it's not some crazy if you. Oh my God. You guys you are not gonna believe what's happening. I I know what you're thinking. But it's not that. Okay. So what is it? I got a text again exactly what we were thinking. Oh, okay. Good. So you believe me know, what is wrong with you, man. I just told you I was attacks. Jesse? Don't worry. Some hits into I'm still the gate to. Nobody knows what that means. What does that? I don't know. I think it's a bag ACLU's Jesse. "Nine three seven zero zero zero three when we left I was talking with Chuck, and Chuck they're still. Yes, sir. Sorry about that. No problem. And you know, what you were saying about the fence and using the concrete one thing he was actually putting a PVC pipe in the ground and concrete in it in. So he had a good stable base there. But yeah, you you're selling him the same warning. I was giving them that grab a will hold water against that wouldn't post. So it will increase the rotting of it. But even at that it's going to last a long time. Well, it it sounded like what he was done was going to hold water against the poll. Yeah. The other thing is the Asian factor for the concrete now for the chain link the metal post is a whole lot easier. Walk because you got all the attachment hardware. Yeah. Bowl, and you can also scratch, you know, you've gotta scratch that fabric. And and the powers and stuff that she had moved to stretch that fabric were better what the the steel post sisters. It's it's a more common while you're doing nothing. It just looks right to have steel posts with the chain link fence that too and and you can put those little metal caps up. So that you don't have water in there. But yeah, that that was how I want my wife through junior and senior I was ride what Botham the summertime and Bogota best fan. You know, that's how I possibly much summers is the kid. Yeah. And learned a lot in our few knuckles. What's the big problem? These days, you know, you can't get kids to do anything like go borrow one hundred thousand dollars to go to college. And all and they don't have the work experience. They don't you know, that experience is so valuable you gotta get that as a kid. You know, Chuck, you're so right on that. I will tell you. I made all of my kids work in every single one of them got their first jobs because of the work. They did. While they were being educated and stuff. The kids who don't work. They don't get a leg up. Well, they don't really they don't understand the work. If the Malian concept, you know, working in the Royal World War near through college. You know, when you get your first really good job. You've got that work ethic that experience I've got you understand. You know, you know, you're you're you're it's just completely different dynamic. I mean, you can spend your entire life going to college. And then that does Willie prepare you for a Royal world job. Well, and Chuck I'm gonna tell you. I think we are at a turning point where you're gonna start seeing the people who work with their hands who actually learn stuff like air conditioning, and plumbing, and Trish, and even guys who, you know, do Rufina and different projects like that. They are actually going to be making more money. Than most college graduates because fewer. You wanna do that kind of work and they start off so much earlier by not going to college. But just a knowledge that they have is making these these people worth so much more money. Jim may already on. Go out there and find a Famer a roofer on crush go. Try to find any your skill. That's a skilled trades. You know? I I grew up. I had an uncle who was only Christian. I learned from him undertook VO class on my life. By the time. I got out of high school. I could build a house from the ground up weren't vomit the whole nine yards. Yep. Just from working with relatives neighbors. Oh, one of my best friends had was a plumber. I've worked with them. Mr. Daniels down the street was a mechanic, and I go over there. And then, you know, hey, kid come and help or not help him. Do a brake job will the next time. I need a break jobs unless dangerous can borrow those tools. Yeah, they're right there on the bench there and get on the garage. You know where they are. Sound like a job hopper. Well. You know, we used to be able to do all that stuff. You know? I mean, we can work on cars houses. That's how we grew up. We were constantly, you know. Idle hands are the devil's workshop. I think we'll stop. Yep. What's your man? I enjoyed catching up with you. But I'm going to have to move on. Well, thank you have a good day us. Well, we'll talk to you later. And let's see here, Tim, I normally end up interrupting you, but let's let's see if we can get the question out before we go to break.
