Kamala Harris Named Border Diplomat, Math is Racist, and Amazon Takes On Leftist Senator

"Bill o'reilly here. Welcome to the no spin news. For tuesday march thirtieth two thousand twenty one. Stand up for your country so you don't want a surface is kind of a slow news day but it's really not because we have a bunch of stories we're going to advance and give you some information you'll get nowhere else. So let's begin with president biden scheduled today Not too heavy fact. You only had one thing to pm. He signed the extension act of two thousand twenty one into law what that is give small businesses until may thirty first to apply for loans. If you got hurt during cova she can apply in government and they give you a loan and it's kind of a no interest loan. Sometimes you wouldn't even have to pay it back depending on your circumstances but that's all the president entire day now. I'm sure did other stuff but was schedule now tomorrow. Busy day goes to pittsburgh on his help. Is here tour. I wish i had thought of that. Because i could use it instead of the no spin. News help is here news. That what nice ring to it so to help is here. Tour goes to pittsburgh all right where the president will promote american rescue plan right. That's more spending between three and four trillion dollars more. So i emphasize that because we're gonna get whacked the middle of this year and next year with taxes. And if you believe that you're not gonna pay more taxes than i'm glad you live in the land of oz. It must be a happy place. I do. I remember all flowers and the yellow brick road and all that all right. Let's get down to the border. Jr is i mean. I've seen massive problems in my time covering news. But this one's up there so you remember that connell. Harris was appointed to oversee the border. But now she's not gonna do that because the vice president doesn't want to do it because she knows it's not going to get any better so behind the scenes. I understand that very mad that Prison biden gave her this dumped in her lap. So now she's not going to be the problem solving the border. She's going to be the quote diplomatic lille zone. Let me get that again. The diplomatic liaison got my claude rains. Going on here all right. What does that mean really doesn't mean anything but she's going to be the point person in talks with mexico and the northern triangle nations. I do you know who the northern nations are honduras. Guatemala el salvador. All right. I know all three countries. Well i didn't know. They were the northern triangle nations. When i was down getting shot at but they are so apparently vice versa. Haret's going to be a charge of diplomatic efforts. I don't know exactly what they will lead to. But i suspect it will lead to nothing. In fact shouldn't even have a trip down there. She might go but maybe she will. So this is all a facade. A ruse yes. Presume biden and congress will send billions of dollars to those nations. Will it be money. Well spent one word haiti. Okay one more all right. The latest stats sunday or two days ago. Five thousand seven hundred sixty seven children take it into border patrol custody one day. Five thousand seven sixty seven but it's not a crisis and now the projection. A month ago february twenty six. That's the biden administration administration. Said we think by. May we'll have thirteen thousand migrant children. Now it's twenty five thousand. The real number will be thirty five to forty thousand children. Because if you get here and you're under eighteen you stay forever so parents are trying to get their kids here. Anyway they can pay and the cartels people-smugglers a lot of money. Get the kid here because then the kid stays and subsequently the parents will be allowed to come did you a child so humanitarian thing sets. What's going on but at cnn. Then they're not so concerned about the border crisis is will the tape and now the new fox narrative is when will biden the border. Why hasn't he gone there yet. Why isn't there right now. We're going to hear that every day by the way until he takes the trip that is how right wing narratives trickle into the rest of the press. And they divert attention right. we narrative. That's what this is all about side about millions of foreign nationals. Going to come to the united states this year about that right wing narrative. So if you know anyone that watches cnn can you just ask them why they do. And then report to me bill o. Bill bill bill o'reilly dot com bill at bill o'reilly dot com. I would just like to know why anybody would that. Why would you voice your time watching that. Not many people. Do you know their ratings of cratered since donald trump has left the scene. But you know maybe a million and our do what what are they thinking all right. The trial in minneapolis. Okay so we told you yesterday. We're going to be very fair. We're not gonna cover this on. Tv not gonna do any of that because that's not fair. I'm going to tell you two things here. Actually three things. The left wing media that includes cnn. Of course they've already convicted. The police officer derek. Chauvin he guilty. We don't really need the trial which is basically have electric chair. Setup at cnn nbc news. And just put a minute. That's it really nothing else to talk about. We'll tape if this is considered legal conduct from police officer. If you can do this in broad daylight and not go to jail is it will be perceived as open season telling police officers from coast to coast view. King literally get away with murder in broad daylight black man at thirty eighth and chicago Where the whole world side right. Afterwards on the video i just. I can't imagine they're not being a conviction at some point. Did not become intentional. You would not lead this man. Pay that you wouldn't step above and release unique from his throat. Okay so he's guilty right and this whole trial thing out of why we bother with this now contrast what. I just showed you to my message of the day. Put it up on a screen. I'll read it to you. The trial of the minneapolis police officers. Whose actions led to the death of george. Floyd is obviously necessary but will end badly for the country. No matter what the verdict. I am keeping track of people who have convicted the former officer on television and in print they are due process deniers but it is also wrong to disparage mr floyd. Even though he was involved with destructive things the simple truth is he did not deserve to die that way. All good people should agree with that statement. We will cover the trial events in a fair manner. The jury is obviously under immense pressure. The black lives matter organization will exploit this terrible situation no matter what happens and so will the white supremacist groups will update you on this. And we'll have the latest on racism adas public schools which is coming up Okay so that's my message of the day. I think that's fair. If you don't think it's fair please let me know again. Build it bill. O'reilly dot com so black lives matter already had one demonstration. The apple's two hundred people. Aren't they gather outside the hennepin county government center and I don't really know why they're gathering. The justice system is underway. The three police officers involved in fired. They're all going to stand trial. So i guess it's america's bad i guess that's what it is but this is just the beginning. Let's go to washington. Dc there's a story you may not know about because none of the networks or cable news covered it except fox okay. So on tuesday last tuesday one week ago two teenage girls aged thirteen and fifteen their names being withheld by authorities tried to hijack a car in washington and the car they selected was being driven by an uber eats deliver okay his name mohammed and war. He sixty six years old was sixty six. So the girls Hopped in a car with a stun gun. All right and tried to drive away. As mr anwar is delivering food. He ran out grabbed the door of the car. And the girl zoomed away overturn. The car and war was killed. The two girls are being charged with felony murder and armed car jacking. Okay so this might not rise to a network story or a cable news story because it happens so often however the fact that they were two girls ages thirteen and fifteen african americans who killed an immigrant adds another layer onto the story. So here's what happened on. Fnc go you got these teenage girls. I mean they're little kids not they're not gangsters. They're not hardened criminals. I don't think they intended to kill anybody. They were looking for. Have a joy ride and it just went way wrong way. Out of control ended up in gross tragedy. I mean this is unbelievable. Their lives are ruined will run so usually you don't bring a stun gun. Yeah joyride correct. I mean it's like kids signing guns in their parents. Say jesse it's awful. It's terrible situation okay. So trying to diminish what happened now so williams should know because he lives in the city of washington dc. Twenty-three us ages. Twelve seventeen have been arrested this year on carjacking charges so this is a trend. This is what's happening and this happens in san francisco. It happens all the places where law enforcement is broken down. Young kids have no fear the police or the system. They want to steal the car. They're going to steal a car. They want to shoot you with a stun gun. They are so somebody's debt. I think it's a pretty worthy story. Now if it were the reverse. If two white youngsters jumped in a car driven by an african american the african american was killed. He thinks he and networks would it or would you ever. I know it. We all know it so we're living in a country that doesn't have any kind of fairness at all on the political or media level none zero and that's frightening okay One more and then we're gonna get to our guests. We have a good guest tonight. You're gonna be interested to hear what is so. The oregon department of education like many state departments of education very worried because minority group test. Scores are not good okay so instead of basically concentrating on lifting the test scores by giving minority children who are at risk. More attention and tutoring they're going to knock out the courses so in oregon they may put in something called a pathway to equitable. Math instruction quote the classes described as an integrated approach to mathematics centers black latino and multi-lingual students providing opportunities for ongoing self reflection as they seek to develop an anti racist math practice. So forget about math not doing that. We're doing the reason you don't know math is because society's racist and in any math problem there wouldn't be a right or wrong answer any answer that you put down his right now. The course guide says this quote white supremacy culture infiltrates math in everyday teacher actions. Couple with the beliefs that underlie these actions. They perpetuate educational harm on black. Latino and multi-lingual students denying them full access to the world of mathematics. This is just certifiably insane. So you're not gonna teach minority children anymore. You're gonna tell them they're victims of a racist culture thought. I don't have to learn math or english or history or anything joining us now. Jonathan butcher he is a skillman fellow. In education at the heritage foundation company was from greenville south carolina. This can't surprise you mr butcher because it's happening all over the country is it not. That's right it is part of a cultural shift going on in our schools right now. This equitable math can be linked to what's going on in california with the new ethnic studies program. Same things are happening. North carolina with social studies in illinois with a teacher training certification program. And they're connected by the idea that you just outlined that there is no authentic truth that finding the facts don't matter that experience matters more and like you said that teachers train students for resistance. They're being trained to be revolutionaries effectively and here even in the case of math. So what this is going to do. Ultimately is turn out a bunch of american children. Who don't know anything that correct well and not just with math. But it's turning math from a technical skill into an issue of civics or even ethics which transforms us from having a shared american culture from having a shared experience where we treat people according to character into something where we are divided by tribes. And where we have to treat people differently. According to their tribe and that america really doesn't belong to any of us. It's a scary thing. This is a cultural shift. That's been ongoing now Especially in the past few years and should be troubling really to everyone and not just because of the focus. Away from facts okay but it isn't troubling to everyone because number one. Everyone doesn't know about it because the media is covering it and number two if you oppose this a sanity say you were in portland oregon and you went into the public school of school boards. Look this is crazy. I don't want my kid not to know any math. I want you to teach my child traditional math. You'd be branded a racist. You be called racist if you did that. So the people who oppose it many of them are frightened and then the others don't know because it's not covered by the media. Am i wrong. Well i think you're exactly right. I would add to that that what we can do is say that those who are promoting these ideas in it's critical race theory is is what is driving this equitable math. As well as what. I mentioned from north carolina in california. But we can say to them is that these critical theorists have abandoned what the civil rights movement accomplished. And that's what they're after. They actually say outright that the critical that the civil rights movement was too slow and even that are representative. Government doesn't move fast enough. According to and the only way that their objectives of disrupting our culture can happen is through this disruption. It's through a complete departure from our shared experience of values independent independent value by persons and civil society. Okay but the president of the united states is encouraging this by his equity program. You say tribes and that's exactly what's going to happen ok. Well he's saying my administration is going to favor certain people we're going to give them things that other people don't get in america because this is equity right. Well that's why the seventeen seventy six commission under the trump administration and the sixteen nineteen project from the new york times. That debate is very important. It's not just about history and civics. It's about shared ideas. It's about what it means. For america to have a shared identity and when the biden administration took the seventeen seventy six commission's report and especially made it disappear shortly after he took a president biden's took office. That's a cultural statement right. That's not this isn't an issue of Your inaccuracy this is an issue of how we define what our nation means to each of us look the progressive left. Doesn't wanna shared experience and they don't want any traditional values in america. They want socialism. And if you don't sign onto that they don't want you to have any say or any power that's what it really all comes down to their training these children in oregon and california north carolina. They're not going to be able to make a living. These children are not going to be able to make a living because they're not going to be able to speak. They're not going to be able to right. They're not going to be able to do mathematics. They will not be able to do it. And they're not going to get into the ivy league schools no matter how much biden says he wants. Equity ivy league is going to look at their scores and go no. So it'll be going at community colleges with. I don't know anything. And i'm not running down community colleges. This is a pathway to independence. That's what this is. He's always going to be dependent on the federal government which is what the progressives last word. I think that katyal schools are reflecting. What's been happening in higher education for decades now. These critical ideas have been there forever even since almost the turn of the twentieth century so these critical ideas are being taught in colleges they have been developed there and now it has trickled down into k. Twelve and that should be as we look for what the next generation is going to look like. We need look no further than the free speech riots and the violence on college campuses in recent years. All right miss put your thanks very much. We really appreciate your time today. And i hate to put a such pessimistic face on it but it isn't the rich white kids that are going to suffer here. Not my kids go to private school right. They don't have any of this. That doesn't happen. But i gotta pay all right and a significant amount of money so my kids are going to be educated. They're gonna be able to do tasks and hold a job. The poor kids are not. You're about to hear a preview of the jordan. Harbinger show former national security adviser lieutenant general. Hr mcmaster who got fired by tweet. Do you think are divisions domestically right now are one of the greatest threats to our national security absolutely tour. They are and averaged doing everything they can to exploit them when we were attacked on nine eleven. Al qaeda didn't target democrats or republicans right right targeted americans the fact that were driven apart from each other based on these divisions in our society. Social media's doing driving art with these algorithms to show you just more extreme information at based on your credit elections the fact that you know if you're of one political persuasion you watch one tv network. Somebody of a different political persuasion watches a different one. You're creating two different realities. It's real tragedy for more on lieutenant general. Hr mcmaster stance on immigration and climate change checkout episode four ten on the jordan harbinger. Show okay sarah elizabeth warren and one of the biggest socialists in the country. She's attacking amazon. She says amazon doesn't pay. Its fair share. What's the fair share. Whatever warren says it is whatever. The federal government says it is is fair share so she lambasts amazon but amazon to its credit fights back quote. Here are the facts. Amazon is paid billions of dollars in corporate taxes. Over the past few years alone in two thousand and twenty we had another one point seven billion in federal tax expense and that's on top of the eighteen billion were generated in sales taxes for states and localities in the us congress designated tax laws to encourage investment in the economy. So what have we done about that. Three hundred fifty billion in investment since two thousand ten and four hundred thousand new. Us jobs last year alone amazon. Okay so elizabeth. Warren wants to destroy that why because amazon is a capitalistic corporation. Elizabeth warren wants amazon. Run from washington wants the federal government to one it thereby looting the company and its tax its shareholders taking forty fifty sixty percent and putting in the government treasury so they can dole it out to other people. That's what socialism is. But i'm glad amazon's fighting back pew research center poll. How much time do you spend on the internet now. I've told you that this is a huge growing problem. In america so eighty five percent of americans say they go online on a daily basis. Thirty one percent say they're online all the time they never get off forty eight percent logging several times a day. Six percent say once a day. seven percent don't use. the internet. Only thirteen percent of american adults are not active on the internet. It's unbelievable unbelievable. And when you're young you live on that internet. And you're not experiencing the world pay a price cancel culture another poll harvard harris nineteen thousand nine hundred forty five registered voters sixty four percent. Say there is a growing cancel culture threat to their freedom. Sixty four percent thirty three percent. Say there isn't who are those people who are thirty three percent who like the cancel culture. That's the progressive laugh. Now that's a pretty big number so it can't be progressing. I put the progressive number at about twenty percent. The other thirteen i get. They're clueless but i'm happy to see the sixty four percent understand what this cancel. Culture thing is saddleback college. I didn't never even heard of this. But this is great. Saddleback colleges in mission viejo california small. Obviously their nickname is the gaucho gaucho. Is there's there's a mascot at saddle back out show is a gaucho is an argentinian cowboy. They're called gauchos and they are in. That pappas who you remember your geography now. Gauchos also a cookie. It's got a little peanut butter flavor in an eight thing. Okay so the gaucho is just a cowboy but saddlebrook is saying no more gaucho got up again. he's got why because using the name. Gaucho is a cultural appropriation. It's racist and it's noninclusive inclusive of female athletes and women in general because they're cowboys gone. Gouge i'm sorry. I'm sorry they're gone. I mean i you know if somebody if some martian came down again. This is a satire. O'reilly's doing a satire. That's how insane this country is today. All right here's a here's a good story so there's another college And it is. Let me find a college. She to To shawnee state university shawnee state portsmouth ohio so shawnee state says to all its professors. You have to address students by whatever pronoun they want. It's no longer he or she. Whatever pronoun and give you. That's what you gotta call him. You don't we're gonna punish you so a professor named nicholas. Mary weather twenty-five years teaching. Okay a fee. Teachers flossy religion ethics and the history of christian thought he sues because he says the chinese going either fire him cut his pay or do something bad to him and the suit goes his way he wins. It's protected speech. If he wants to say he or she in a classroom he can. And that's the sixth circuit court of appeals ruling was handed on friday. You will hear this story nowhere else. It will not be reported anywhere else and this is part of the stand up for your country so nicholas. Mary weather and amazon. They stood up against the madness and nicholas one. So as i've told you before. I'm sitting here on long. Island avowed eight miles away from new york. City from queens. Twenty two miles from manhat- last week in new york city population eight million crime was up. Forty percent four zero over the week in two thousand and twenty. Why because the entire criminal justice system has collapsed in new york city. Why because governor cuomo signed a no bail law even. If you're a violent criminal you are not held on bail. Go right out and mayor de blasio is a communist and has no interest it enforcing any law. Nothing so let me prove it yesterday. We told you about nineteen year. Old rock kwan wilson. Okay who has been arrested five times for carrying a powerful hand gun five times. The latest time he was led out without bail after five beefs. He pled guilty to one. He's another one is going into court. He was convicted as a minor that sealed because that was in two thousand sixteen. So that's five years ago. He was fourteen carrying around nine millimeter. Okay the bail nobel. None walked so yesterday. I had to show up in court and they remanded him. I think because a me could be wrong. But i think on. Wabc we made a pretty big deal out of it. That's a powerhouse radio station in new york. And now he's gonna be sentenced on april twenty seven so he's at rikers now. Because he knows he's going to have to do state time. But if you're gonna let a guy who's nineteen and his gang member all right. He's in the faith something gang. I don't what folk folk nation. I'm sorry folk nation gang gang member. They know so they let him out five times. What do you think is going to happen. That's how new york city is conducting its criminal justice today and now the legislature in albany and remember governor cuomo signs. All it is stop. Now they're going to have a new situation. Where criminals can sue police. Very though anybody. That's arrested turnaround sued. The people the cop wrestle had indemnification the trying to knock that down. So now you're not gonna have any law enforcement. Not if is in new york city cop and my grandfather was. i'd find a job someplace else. Why do you want to go to work every day. If you make an arrest for is going to turn around so you y- magin how many bloodsucker lawyers are going to be lined up to take those cases from free trying to get money from the individual cop in the city. It's a total breakdown now. The poll pew research poll twelve thousand adults was donald trump. A good president ready seventeen percents say. Mr trump was a great president. Eighteen percents as good. That's thirty five and twelve percents as average so it's forty seven row k. With the trump presidency fifty three percent say he was bad or terrible. Eighty nine percent of democrats. Say seventy three percent of republicans. Say good or great stay in history. March thirtieth nineteen eighty-one president. Reagan shot. I wrote a book on this. I think it's the best book you'll ever read on. What president reagan when through John hinkley shot him also shot white house. Press secretary james. Brady a secret service. Agent timothy mccarthy severely wounded district of columbia policeman. Thomas delahunt severely wounded. Reagan was in surgery two hours. Almost i this close this close and a lot of people. Don't even remember this forty years ago. They don't even remember now after came out of surgery and and the guy was making jokes does the president. I mean it was incredible. Handle it but he went downhill. And i write about that and twenty fifth amendment. So if you're interested in any of that read. President reagan's ordeal in killing reagan. And i got criticized for writing this book. Because i told the absolute truth which the american public never hurt and ronald reagan. The end made amazing comeback. I think i'm using the word miraculous comeback. I do believe. And he believed to he believes the hand of god that lifted him up from that grievous grievance. He's seventy years when he got shot. Okay we'll take a quick break. We got a really good male segment and a final thought. About what do you do if you hurt somebody right back. Don't fight the irs. alone there is help. Tax defense partners has been in the industry more than twenty years specializing in tax. Prep defense and tax controversy tax defense partners help businesses and individuals with tax problems. So don't fight the irs alone call defense partners at eight eight eight three one eight two eight seven four male. Norman orion walt. Do you believe president biden should be impeached. Even though democrats will do it. For what i mean. President biden hasn't done any high crime or misdemeanor. He's not enforcing border law. Okay but that's not a crime. Unfortunately i mean. I think he should have to. But you can't charge him with anything. So i think that would be a travesty. Thomas roy atkinson new hampshire one. You say joe biden does not know. He's lying he's in decline but he's not impaired enough to believe that trump let children star. My point is this. he just read stuff reads it. He doesn't know what he's reading in my opinion zane connor at tripoli illinois. Would you please. Slain the difference between an executive order and the law zana executive order applies to federal. Property federal jurisdiction. So president. just write a law. I want to outlaw. Tylenol can't do that. But in anything to do with property or jurisdiction a president can writing executive order. Okay lucy spencer sandusky ohio. Bill is a reason saints of texas new mexico. Arizona cannot build their own border wall. Yes because the border is the sole exclusive territory of the federal government. That's why biden was able to shut down the xl pipeline because it went through federal land and he stopped drilling for oil on federal but he couldn't stop companies drilling for oil in midland taxes. Can't do that. So the borders are the subject of the federal government and the states cannot true. James lick gatesville texas a normally agree with you ninety nine percent bill but today you said the cruise industry require a covid vaccine car to take a cruise. I disagree. I mean i respect to send but for public health and for business. If the cruise ship says only vaccinated passengers number one more people take the cruise and number two. You are knocking out. Most of the spread of covid. So that's just the morality freeman thirst in woodbury connecticut. Bill will you stop calling the gas price attacks. It's not attacks yeses caused by biden's policy but it's not a tax. The price of lettuce goes up because of something president said it's on a tax. It's artificially driven. It's a tax now. If you want to just split hairs freeman which. I think you're doing okay. But you know it's a tax. If joe biden hadn't attacked the oil and gas industry the gas prices wouldn't be going up. They're going up so that those corporations can stockpile cash. Because they know that cars are gonna be outlawed gas driven car and everything else to stockpiling. So that's an indirect tax. Maybe i should have been more precise indirect tax linda viral. Terre bonne oregon. I think i'm saying that right. Linda bill enjoy the news. It's honest now. My gas last fill was three dollars. Thirty cents a gallon on march second. I paid three zero five and on memorial day. You'll pay three fifty and for the july. Maybe four not going to stop. Jim young castlerock washington. Thank you bill. Saying out loud that the vietnam war was not lost by the military. That meant something to me. Look any historian. who's honest. Anyone knows the us military actually won the actual fighting but because it was so screwed up by politicians that we fought to a stalemate as far as a treaty was concerned. The north vietnamese could not take over south vietnam because of us. The at conwy wiped out early on in the conflict. Okay once we left day violated the treaty and it was all but there's no way that any responsible historian could say the us military loss of vietnam ivy gene sky eagle arlington texas so whereas the dorm report sadly i trusted. Turn the light on Jay light is here Jay hi hello do Jay light is one of our favorite comics for those who don't know he's been on this show before he is just one of the best joke writers. We know it's one of the reasons why I love the comedy store and I missed the comedy store so much in this time so much because it was. It was an opportunity for people like us who do the road and and headline clubs and whatnot in all over to also interface with a whole new generation of up come up and coming comedians doing the roast battle fruit. We I saw you on the roads battle. You were amazing. We saw you do three minutes to stand up in the show before the rose battle and we're like this kid's really good and then over time we just became friends and started like help each other with each other stand up and writing and roasting and all that stuff and you've been so good us throughout the years we appreciate you. Appreciate y'all so much. It's it's been real pleasure to get to to know you guys and work the all and and and now we're here. We're here you've done the show in studio and you understand our philosophy that the world is dumber. The pandemic hasn't stopped that as a roast battle comedian. That's what you you immediately just turn on the I got a roast the world, right? Exactly. That's that's the only way to cope I mean. That's what that's what God's doing with the with all the fires in the West Coast. She's Alad. Got We're seeing the world through rose colored glasses. While the world is getting dumber and I know you believe that too because we've talked about it at length Daniel van Kirk is here. Hi Dan. WHAT'S UP BUDDY It is time to just jump into a story. We'll get an historian midway through and we take a break. We'll come back and talk about Jay lights new comedy album, which you're GONNA want to check out but let's jump into this. Okay, ready. Yes. A boy in New Zealand though this was sending by curling McDermott by the way at she be car lean to isse she be Carleen. Toys R. US she, Charlie. Your excuse for somebody's behavior well she. Carleen right. Carleen sounds like nickelodeon show doesn't it? She carleen tonight at nine right after that. So Raymond Yeah. Boy In new, Zealand finally had a missing piece of Lego fall out of his nose after he pushed his nostril not I mean. Now, if you don't watch your kids these days and I know Jay Light, you don't have kids that you know about. But if you watch your kid if you're not watching your kids stamp dance set out video I, highly recommend if you're not falling down on twitter, you must learn instagram on instagram Dan put a video on twitter that we immediately sent to her mom that was making us laugh. So hard have you seen this j the kid trying to make cupcakes are candidates yeah, and eating all. Right out of the ball he. A whole stick of butter but. It's an Ano, he has an animalistic dry. It's a compulsion. Not Be able to stop eating the thing and the second, the authority figure, the MOM or the grandma grandma turns away for one hot second. He's got everything a handful of. Like raw egg, and that is what kids are lead. Shoving it in. Double Fisting it Roy. Ingredients. We never want to hear the term double fisting when referring to a kid. Unless Lesser Punch. Punching the muster punching Well I was GONNA ask you guys. Did you guys have any like up the nose in the ear I swallowed it. With your kids your kids but my dog one time when we had an English bulldog, our old one virgil like he we fed, he just started throwing up like every time we would feed him he would it would go in and then it would. He would throw it up more like Jesus. What's wrong we took him in and he had like a the the doctors put down like a tube that also had something that could retrieve stuff that might be blocking because they're like something's blocking it. They pulled out like a this was like about a inch, maybe three inch high like action figure with a pedestal base of a rooster and I'm like we don't even own where did he get that? Then it was like that has just been hanging out with other kids and other. was like who wants a three inch high rooster as a toy to play with? That's the dumbest idea. So then you're now you're just shaming the kid. Here. And there was also like a belt yet about I can story. Yeah. So Vance. We was Thanksgiving probably like, nineteen, ninety. Two maybe ninety three. Vance was born with his esophagus didn't connect to his stomach. So when he was like this is my younger brother so Like hours after being born, they had to do life saving surgery obviously, and so there was a kink where the the fake tube at the Asaf against and so food wasn't like chopped up enough. On it and we get stuck in his in his ASAF, esophageal? Whatever. Cough it up right and so this was like nothing new you get used to it at while you make sure his food is. Another. It'd be a little kid like that's too big of a bite. Vance. So. One thanksgiving. Vance starts coughing up but he hasn't eaten anything everybody's like okay. Advances token. And I know it's Kinda like Brandon, Wade, in Christmas store. Hang it up about as hour. so He's like Jokin. Call. An outcomes a wheel like A. Motorcycle and my Uncle Cans Dad. Clarence never he goes. We sit here long enough that whole Goddamn bike. That's. killed he killed by naming waiting he. He was a bad ass crush. Hilarious. Did you ever do that and eat food toys or shit? I never ate toys I do feel like, I, mean I can see eating a hot wheels car or pine her car zones do look like candy they look very appetizing. Yeah. I did definitely get too far out of my like trying to be an adult when I was way too young. I tried to help my parents fill up the car once at a gas station I was like five or six years old maybe and I pulled the gas pump out too quick. And I sprayed myself with gas extremely arid the gas station. My God terrify. Fitzsimons. fitzsimmons joke was that he was. He worked at a gas station with an ex porn star and the Star would always star filling up the tank at. The anti take. Spray. It all over the hood of the car. It's great. but yeah, man that's Jesus Yeah. You GotTa Watch your kids thing I, watch your kids watch your kid. So. He has finally fall out of his nose. After he pushed up their seven year old Samir Anwar of Dune using Dunedin and I've been there and I'll tell you I never seen word I'll tell you why. I like tuned and more. Sounds cool. Dude sounds like he's going to help the mandatory in. Character on she carlin. What do they do? Need it. So Dunedin is a town not far from Queenstown Okay Queensland Queens no Queensland Australia. Queen's or Queen's Christ church. Now it's in south part. So we'd be Carlin our flight couldn't take off and we had to our flight couldn't take off from Queenstown because the weather was so bad and there were like hundreds of people in the airport and they're like Oh this happens all the time. So it was just a disaster we rented a we got into a car and drove two hours to this other town. Okay to Dunedin and we took a flat out of Dunedin and this is my wife and I this is in two thousand. This is a baby moon so it was like two, thousand and nine. And I, and I remember we went to the airport and denise this little. Town I you could go through the airport and even if you didn't have a ticket was a small airport Kinda like Burbank. and. If you like family members go all the way to the gate old school and so people were coming off the plane and getting like hugged by family members and stuff like that and I'm like, Oh yeah. Remember when the airport was nice. Place that you like went and saw happiness all around. Yeah. Now it's just misery and I'm like that's really fascinating and we ended up getting to fly out of their up to Auckland and then. You got your own happiness. Dunedin wended the Lego fall out of your. Right, as we were about to leave. Okay. He was taken to a local general practitioner by his parents after he inserted the tiny toy part into his nose doctors were unable to find it. Lego piece unexpectedly fell out of Samir's nostril after the child sniffed a plate of cupcakes over the weekend. Wait a minute. How do doctor? How can they not find it? Do they not have the right medical equipment there if you know it's there and the doctors I we got no clue. I'm gotta go to a different doctor. Let's get a second opinion. Well, how do you do an extra know? Just. Around a little bit. Shook. Around a little bit. About six dollars and forty cents in change fell out. Very least put another Lego up there and see if it connects pull right. Now fast forward. He's smelling cupcakes over the weekend and it falls out why are they are they we? You're talking about sniffing cupcakes like that's a normal thing. Is You? Re cupcake with me just cupcakes different cupcakes. You Still Hey, I'm more of a mini pie. Fine. Dan. Dude I want to try that one so good you're from. Texas I am from Texas and that does sound like a fine dessert. You're from Texas where I grew up outside of Dallas. Okay. All right wherever wherever one played football teeing up for your bit. Man Everybody played football I was on the C team maybe C. Says even coordinated kids. See Standing for CTE Wait. So you are on the because you were explaining this to us, and then we help you are we sort of bouncing ideas off to write this bit with you about the fact that everyone was forced to play football right? Everybody you if you're a kid going through public school, you have to play football just one year. That's. Tom Green talking about hockey hurting talk about hockey that he had to play. No. Then he was like well, yeah, I mean it's like you had to play but he also quickly found out that you could do whatever you wanted if you were playing hockey like you could stay out as late as you want it. So he played hockey just because. He wouldn't have two kids who didn't play hockey had to come inside. It's nighttime right. But if you played hockey and you want to stay outside as long as you were playing hockey, they let you stay out and do whatever you want it to do find a dead Moose on the side of the road there or humping it kill a moose yeah. Alright. Doctors unable to find any smells cupcakes young boy was brought the doctors by concerned parents out that their son had lost a piece of Lego part legal characters arm up his nose arm up to the up the nose track one day he told us he had slipped a tiny piece of Lego, and then we tried our best our best to bring it out. But nothing came out what would you try vacuum cleaner straight to the? Vacuum probably this is that sounded wholesome. It I the legos in the cupcakes bit of he's dismembering Lego mini figs. Mind Hunter, that's an early sign. Get what you deserve. Samir's father. MINDHUNTER to and I didn't think it was back right what the TV show on. Good. It's a slower burrows. Did you like Man Hunter? Now? Michael Man William Petersen move now I'll be. Mind Hunter was just what we talked to the the football kids after when they trying to figure brain injury. After having a thorough examination local general practitioner failed to find miniscule piece of black past classic inside the young patients. Knows the doctor advised that the parents to the parents at the peace may never have been up his nostril I love that when the doctor's like I think he got. On Your Hand Kids Government some Waco attentive. At that point you'd be like I'm sorry. Is that your official diagnosis my son, a Liar Liar Itis Dad do you know the doctors your Eliah Bec- I mean. A line from our old from back on time? no, the Do you know that when doctors are predicting we? The gender of your child they tell you one thing and then they write in their chart the opposite thing so that if they're wrong, right For like when they come back, say I don't think I told you that like no. No We'd remember what you told them. Totally. Well let's see what I wrote my chart or have it right when you know for sure and then you're like, oh Well. That's weird. It doesn't matter anyway. You got what you wanted. Yeah. So. Then he says, you're little kids Aligarh and that, and even if he did do, it may have moved through his digestive system naturally. So he saying it went up the nose. Throat, but skipped the air passage and went into the digesting. Susan throughout advanced coughed it up. Yeah. Can ever trust a doctor New Zealand ever again. Yeah. There it? Again, it's like getting a medical degree in the Caribbean the parents soon, forgot about the missing lego pieces and Samir showed no signs of pain or distress. Since then it's an animal, he's never complained or anything Mr Anwar said he told the Guardian that his son was quite playful animus Julius character. Yeah. I'm Wolf Blitzer. You're in the situation room is C._N._N.. Breaking news breaking news embattled title Labor Secretary Alex Kosta public to defend the still shocking plea daily oversaw a U._S.. Haas Democrats are scrambling to get ready for next week's testimony by former special counsel Robert Muller. They're trying to make the most of limited time but some are already cautioning against expecting too too much from the hearings but testimony is seen as a make or break moment for Democrats pushing for an impeachment Inquiry House Speaker Senator James Langford of the House of the Senate Homeland Security Committee and our correspondents and analysts they will have full coverage bridge of the day's top stories. Let's begin with the breaking news our chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta standing by Jim. The president's battle Labor secretary is defending his actions as a U._S.. Attorney a decade ago. That's why wolf in an update eight so far officials over here at the White House believes Labor Secretary Alex Acosta handled himself well at that press conference earlier this afternoon as we saw as he came out in front of the cameras there were no apologies no regrets in the embattled labor secretary regarding his handling of the Jeffrey the Epstein Case Secretary Acosta also claimed he still has the support of the president. Even though Mr Trump hasn't always stood by cabinet secretaries who faced intense scrutiny in the past under fire over a plea deal he wants cut for multimillionaire sex sex offender Jeffrey Epstein Labor Secretary Alex Kosta defended his handling of the case during his days as a federal prosecutor. No regrets has a very hard question. You always look back and you say what if with new victims coming forward questioning whether a cost it was too lenient in the case the secretary was asked whether he would have reached the same agreement today time and again he pointed the finger at state prosecutors in Florida claiming they were going to allow Epstein to avoid jail time today's world tweets victims very very differently. Today's world does not allow some of the victims shame that could have taken place at trial. I don't think we can say you know. Take a case that is this old and fully know-how play out today. We did what we did because we wanted to see Epstein go to jail. There is a value to a short guilty plea because letting him walk leading what the State Attorney was ready to do. Go forward would have been absolutely all the secretary made it clear he's not about to resign talking up his relationship with President trump while working in a plug for the administration's record my relationship with the president outstanding <hes> he has I think very publicly <hes> made clear that that I've got his support I serve at the pleasure of the President <hes> I thought yesterday he was kind and he showed great support. We are here because we are part of an administration that is creating jobs to senior administration official told C._N._N.. The president's first instinct was to fight back against Democrats calling for the secretary's resignation officials said Mr Trump's attitude was quote screw them the secretary also blasted reports that he's on thin ice with acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney. Our relationship is excellent to and then any articles to the contrary are in his words he s a little true trump administration fashion. The secretary took a swipe at the media. I've read this and one of the things I find interesting is how how facts become facts because they're in a newspaper her. Thank you very much. The question is whether the secretary's performance was enough to stay on one of Mr Trump's. Close friends was betting that his days were numbered. I think the plea agreement he did is indefensible. I think that he's not going to stay for long wrong but for now it seems secretary. Acosta may be able to stay on for now but the secretary may want to look back at how other embattled cabinet members have fared in the past one senior administration official. Put it one day you're working for president trump and one day yeah you're not there was one other departure here in Washington that was welcomed by the White House as the British Ambassador to the U._S.. Announced he is stepping down after some of his past criticisms of Mr Trump surfaced in the news media one top White House official told reporters earlier today that that was. Was the right course of action. That was one departure over here at the White House. They were welcoming Jim Acosta at the White House for us. Thank you very much. Let's dig deeper right. Nasi curious canal is here in the Situation Room Out Carrie. You've been going through the legal documents around this two thousand seven two thousand eight case Sir. What did you find out he'll have been combing through the record in this case and we found a number of letters between two thousand seven and two thousand eight just after this non-prosecution agreement was reached where lawyers Jeffrey Epstein reaching out to Alex Acosta still trying to get him to knock two of his prosecutors off the case end to end the prosecution completely when that failed <hes> at stearns legal team brought in Ken Starr the lawyer who prosecuted or went after Bill Clinton in the Whitewater Investigation Monica Lewinsky had him appeal L. to the Department of Justice in Washington he reached out to the Criminal Division the Child Exploitation Division and the Deputy Attorney General's office and believe it or not in one of those claims they actually said that the prosecution of Epstein was politically motivated motivated because of his close personal association with the former President Bill Clinton now the deputy Attorney General's office one of the assistants there had responded saying that the prosecution was quote appropriate now remember this prosecution wasn't even one that was ever really supposed to be made public it involved no jail time and no actual federal charges well? It's interesting because when Alex Acosta Labor Secretary was asked today to look back at his handling of this case and I want to be precise he didn't appear you to accept direct responsibility in fact he repeatedly appointed to others right I mean he he pointed to both the state prosecutors on the case and then he even was passing some of the blame onto his line assistance mentioning you know specifically one of them and the conduct and the actions that she's taken in this case now that runs counter to the record you see in the court filings that cost a was involved that he did have meetings with one of his former law partners who is representing Jeffrey Epstein and that it also runs counter to the other cases that pastas office brought during that exact same time period where they prosecuted people for one person one victim that they had assaulted not what was alleged dozens of victims in that case puriscal doing some important reporting for us. Thank you very much. Let's go to our senior congressional correspondent Manu Raju. He's up on Capitol Hill. No you just spoke with the House figure Nancy Pelosi. What did she have to say about? Secretary Costa's news conference while Nancy Pelosi been very clear that she he wants nothing short of Alyssa Causes Resignation as Labor secretary she said in the aftermath of the indictment of Jeffrey Epstein she also made that clear and the days that followed and as she was leaving a briefing earlier this afternoon I asked her about aw the press conference and a cost of making it very clear that he was not resigning and she said this so the question is what do Democrats do from here. Nancy Pelosi made clear to me yesterday that she didn't really have much of an interest of launching a full scale investigation into this plea deal that was offered back in Florida to Jeffrey Epstein. She said that they want to focus the legislative agenda instead but there are there are some interest from one Committee the House Oversight Committee were sent a letter to Alex Cause to ask him to testify later this month to lay out the details of this plea agreement no word yet about whether or not cost will come and whether or not it will lead to a subpoena from the House Oversight Committee so there is still some interest on Capitol Hill to get some more answers to why what has happened here whether outs a caused a properly move forward with that plea the agreement more than a decade ago bottom under what are you learning about the Democrats Strategy for next week Robert Muller testimony behind the scenes Democrats are scrambling to make sure that they get the most out of their time will have only that you two hours in two separate hearings and it'll be split equally between Democrats and Republicans so for the House Judiciary Committee which has more than forty members each side will have one hour only to ask questions of Robert Muller Than Thousand Intelligence Committee. We'll have a similar to our arrangements split equally between the two sides of Democrats behind the scenes wolf. I'm told are trying to figure out an exact strategy to get the answers they want to their questions. Beginning meetings tonight tomorrow as well figure out exactly what they want. I WANNA ask to bite up there among their members effectively stick to the script but what Wolf I'm hearing from a number of Democrats. They are concerned that just two hours won't be enough time to get exactly what they want. which is more information to get the special counsel detail all the allegations in a more than four hundred page report and already Democrats are saying that look we need them to come back because that's just simply not gonna be enough time so right now? Democratic leaders are sorting out the logistics try and divide up how they want to ask their questions but you're hurting some questions as the whole world will be watching and people who are saying that this can change the dynamics lead to an impeachment proceeding of this president but some saying there's just not going to be enough time to get all of their questions answered so at the Moment Wolf Democrats doc is trying to figure out exactly how to maximize limited time with a special county. I'll give it a little bit of time the Democrats and the Republicans for that matter they all have to be very disciplined and asks questions rather than make speeches which they offered like to do in these kinds of hearings Maharaja. Is Your Open Capitol Hill. Thank you very much joining us not Republican Senator James Lankford of Oklahoma. He's a key member of the Homeland Security Committee senator. Thanks so much for joining us going to be what he will do so we have lots to discuss but let me begin with the breaking news should the Labor Secretary Alex Aleksic Kosta resigned over his handling of the Epstein Case No. I don't think he should resign. I think we should allow the Department of Justice to do their investigation in the background work on this. What I'm disappointed at is so much of the coverage the last really forty eight hours on every network work has been about President trump cost labor secretary and we've not really spent a lot of time talking about these girls that were abused in the process and traffic and about Epstein? What the horrific accident he really did this horrific crime? We need to keep the focus on. It being horrific. Crime led the Department of Justice do their investigation. They're now in their second investigation. Obviously what happened in Florida decade ago and now in New York to be able to finish this out with new additional witnesses. Let that go. Let's get this person prosecuting go through the process and get justice a folks folks and then allow that investigation and go forward into into go back and review what happened ten years ago I think it's appropriate but the focus needs to be on those kids especially and and actually getting justice about those those girls were fourteen fifteen years old who make a very important terrific traffic they clearly were abused and that raises the question. Why do the U._S.? Attorney at that time Alex Causton South Florida give this very lenience bleed deal with with upstate and I think those are all legitimate questions asking I think department injustices going to pull that up. I think that'd be a normal investigation when they're retrying some of these issues and bringing up additional people with additional witnesses to go back and find out what did the state of Florida do why was the state of Florida struggling to be able to prosecute this case had it into the US Attorney's office and then how is the plea deal made very reasonable questions and I think those answers should come out because a federal judge as you know said Alex Akasa violated the law by not telling up Steen's victims about the prosecution agreement that was worked out the plea agreement that the government signed onto doesn't that alone warrant an apology from Alex Kosta Yeah. Let's get all the details out on that individual find out from Kosta again. He's got to be able to go back and review this with Department of Justice and to be able to make it right in any way that we can Dan my my my impression is a lot of the push right now is because he's a trump cabinet member not because of the case might focus would be let's focus on him as an attorney not as a cabinet member and a U._S. Attorney and find out what mistakes were made. How do we never do this again? And how do we make sure that aren't some other individuals and other places that we had a prosecution that was not fully fulfilled. Would you make an important point. These were fourteen fifteen sixteen year old girls who were abused. It really awful ways. Would you like to see a secretary AKASA. Come before Congress. John Russel lawmakers like you and others can directly ask them questions about the decisions. He made a decade ago. So actually what I would like to see is the same we would do with any other U._S.. Attorney let the Department of Justice to go through the process on this let them do their investigation buying closed doors wars as they would for any other U._S. attorney to be able to get those hard questions a deposition or a closed-door meeting. We'll get much more out of it than a hearing. Would the only reason a hearing is even being discussed in this is because he's trump's secretary labor otherwise this any other U._S. attorney earning any other question on a case we'd be going through normal protocol so I I would ask we go through normal protocol first and then if we don't get good answers then elevate judiciary committee was he properly vetted in his confirmation hearings by the U._S.. Senate voted to confirm all the Republicans. I think voted to confirm eight Democrats opposed it. One Independent Angus King of Maine Democrats supported his confirmation. One Independent Angus King also supported his confirmation whizzy properly vetted only only Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia even ask questions about the case so that's what I was about to say yes because that information was available people could see Tim Caine was able to ask information of Em- personally on that so the White House had looked at it but Democrats and Republicans in the Senate and it had looked at it there was the questions that were asked everyone thought they had sufficient answers had to be able to go through the process. Now we have additional information additional witnesses that are coming forward now that allows for a renewed prosecution in that case which is a good thing for those victims able to go through. Let's talk about the Robert Muller coming testimony next week. One of bowlers definitive conclusions right at the beginning of his four hundred fifty page report was that the Russians directly interfered in our two thousand sixteen presidential election but at a briefing everything today up on Capitol Hill top administration officials wouldn't even say whether president trump has even received a comprehensive briefing on election security looking forward to twenty twenty. I know you're too sensitive briefing on this issue today as well does that worry you know that doesn't worry me because I was in a briefing today with the head of the F._B._i.. With the Office of National Intelligence with Homeland Security multiple leaders from multiple different areas and our government and to be able to get an update of what they're already doing to protect sector elections for twenty twenty what they did for twenty eighteen lessons learned from two thousand sixteen twenty eighteen what they're applying for twenty twenty so there are a long way down the road they were very clear. They've had interaction with the president and the White House they've had go on all of their work behind the scenes to be able to make sure they were both working with individual states and all fifty states now have an additional cyber protection on their election system. That was not there for years ago Aso dealing with Cybersecurity is much more advanced now than what it was four years ago. There's a lot more or awareness interaction state to state and then interaction agency the agency so our questions are really focused on twenty twenty. What are they doing resin the politics behind the scenes on it and I was very impressed with what has already been done and what they didn't twenty eighteen which we saw go off basically basically without a hitch in two thousand eighteen because of the aggressive measures they took you make a very important point <hes> senator Lankford because all of the top national security intelligence cybersecurity people in the administration and the government they all all on the same page? They have to do something very very serious to stop the Russians they talk about it. Openly they have no complaints about what the the Muller report came up with on that specific issue but why do we never hear the president of the United States speak about not this <hes>. You'd have to ask him on that. One or his spokesman on my perception is that he feels like there's still folks that are out there saying the only reason he's president is because the Russians were trying to interfere he would obviously vehemently push back against that and say worked very harden campaign and got more votes and all that process so I I think he his perception is what I get from him is. There's there's a sense that some people are trying to de-legitimize his election based on that we have no evidence of any votes being switched during that time period. That's been very clear. Have I'm very consistent with all of our intelligence folks that have gone through the process and we need to continue to be vigilant to make sure that we continue to protect the system so that people can trust the system. We gotta go but you have no doubt. The Russians interfered. I have no doubt the Russians tried to interfere in twice sixteen. They started early two thousand fourteen. I have no question they did that and I have no question. Our government is standing ready to be able to take him on for twenty twenty. Make sure they can push back on anything now and you have no doubt that their intention was to help. Donald Trump got elected. Oh No I have lots of doubts on that because even. Things like the Christopher Steele the the famous dossier that was out there. I have no doubt that that was rushing generated as information that was countered to trump so there's a lot of things that were helpful to the president. There were lots of things that were hurtful to the president there route the Russians were playing both both sides of this trying to be able to create a stir as they went to the election which they have certainly been successful at you know they they all conclude the Russians wanted to sow dissent political dissent here in the United States that was their goal. That's why they started this but in the end they really went <music> out of their way to try to help trump and hurt Hillary Clinton yeah they did more to help candidate trump no question than they did Hillary Clinton but they also had information go in the other direction they all said Pro Bernie Sanders things they had green party things out there and when you go back I can see a breakdown of the things that they were doing and social media by far. They were doing more anti Hillary Clinton but they had a lot of other information including as I mentioned before this famous dossier that's a Russian document that was anti candidate trump at that point that they were getting out into the open so there was quite a bit to go both sides all right Senator Lyford. We're GONNA continue this conversation. It's really important down the road. Thanks so much for joining us. You bet up next labor. Secretary Alexis Kosta rejects calls that he resigned defending the two thousand eight three daily arranged as a U._S. attorney which gave multimillionaire Geoffrey F._c.. A very light sentences for sex crimes plus a hurricane watch issue for part of the Louisiana Coast Right now heavy rains are already causing serious problems along the central Gulf coast stand by for the latest. I remember to create an ad like this. One visit pure winning dot com slash C._N._N.. Breaking news the Labor Secretary Alex Dacosta this afternoon defended his actions and as a federal prosecutor negotiated a plea deal with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein a decade ago. Kosta says he has no intention of resigning. Let's bring in our experts our correspondents and analyst to assess Caitlyn you were there at that news conference at the Department of Labor earlier today and you've done some serious reporting on the pressure behind the scenes from the president on Alex Acosta to do something tell us about that president trump was the reason he came out today and did answer those questions from reporters because they got on the phone yesterday and the president told him he needed to defend himself and do so ERNA press conference maybe taking questions because he wanted him to go out there and defend his actions as he oversaw that plea deal now we do report last night that the president had been privately telling people he had confidence in secretary cost essentially making the same argument he did in the Oval Office yesterday downplaying his role in the deal saying that there were multiple people involved and also stating that it was eleven years ago the president was saying it was a longtime ago so that is why he wanted to come out and forcefully defend himself and a lot of people in the West Wing were saying that this performance was really going to determine whether or not he stayed on as the Labor secretary. It's interesting because during that news conference Susan the Labor Labor Secretary repeatedly sought to deflect he was blaming others whether the state of Florida or career prosecutors he didn't take responsibility right so he was certainly ready to throw just about everybody under the bus intimating that the state was going to pursue lesser charges with the responsibility lay with career prosecutors but keep in mind. This was not a deal that just happened to occur at the U._S.. Attorney's office while a cost happened to be the boss a cost of personally met with Epstein's lawyer not at the US Attorney's office as one might expect but instead set at a Miami Hotel which goes to how incredibly irregular this was it was at that breakfast meeting but they hashed out this deal by which Epstein served only thirteen months in prison with essentially allowed to sort of come and go at will essentially unheard of they also agreed to immunize unnamed co-conspirators so really an astonishing deal considering the strength of the Evanston Dacosta that that seventy a breakfast meeting with the lawyers representing Epstein was done after the plea deal had already been worked out so the Miami Herald is reporting contradicts that and I do think that one thing for Walla cost of deserves credits for answering an hour worth of questions today <hes> you know he he was not forthcoming on whether or not he fully informed the victims right. He was a vase on some the key details so it's hard to say whether or not his account of the story is credible at the point well. He said we didn't inform the victims because we were afraid that if they knew about money that might be coming to them that it could be used against them by Epstein tourneys I mean it seems to me that they were Kinda. bludgeoned by epsteins lawyers some pretty famous lawyers upstate some high powered lawyers certainly did include including one of whom was a former law partner of a Costa's us but but a Kosta as Susan was saying was blaming everybody else for this and saying you know that arrangement was B F he shouldn't have been he shouldn't have been allowed to go to work while he was serving his jail time I mean who did that and he didn't really say what new evidence there is that he was praising the southern district of New York for finding what what is their new about this. There were thirty six victims at the time I mean wasn't that enough enough and also in this question of immunizing potential co conspirators. He didn't really explain why that occurred did he. I mean I'm not much of a liability for the president. That's the thing we never know with us. President Right. We've seen this over and over again with people who work for the president even either in the cabinet or in the White House there is a lots of scrutiny a lots of damaging scrutiny and sort of damning evidence against them in terms of wrongdoing or in this case sort of I think what I thought was a bit of a pompous in week performance by a Kosta and seeming sort of just go along and be railroaded by Epstein a lawyer so we've seen this play out. It's all up to the president ultimately. We don't know if at some point he changes his not mine mind we do know that his instinct is to fight right. His instinct is to draw a line of between a folks who want to see folks in his administration. Go folks who want to take him down folks who want to take people who work with him down and so he taints to kind of. <hes> defend them at all costs. We've seen that over and over again. We'll see if this press conference made makes a difference. I thought it was a terrible press conference of the sort of blaming the timing of it saying Oh you know this was a very very very long time ago. It was only eleven years ago in these victims are would have been treated differently than they would have been now. I thought it was a terrible standby. There's a lot more we need to discuss. Nancy Pelosi met with the Democratic Caucus in the House of Representatives senator today she pleaded for unity at one point saying quote you got a complaint you come to talk to me about it but do not tweet about our members and expect us to think that is just okay clearly. There's a rift emerging between her and some of the more a liberal younger members emerged am. I don't blame her quite frankly. She's a leader of the party in the House and what she is saying to them is not that you can't complain. You sure you can complain but how about coming to me so I don't have to read. Did it on twitter I and I think she's she put out the word there look you don't have to stand in line behind me all the time but we have to have a united front because we're dealing with these usually important issues and of course this comes on on the heel of a heels of her saying Maureen Dowd your rights they have four votes and by the way she was also right about that they have four votes and so I think she's kind of saying to them. You know I'm not GonNa roll over for you and you need to understand where I am coming from and how important these issues are and so yeah. There's a rift in the I mean that was a low blow. I thought for Nancy Pelosi to go in talk to Maureen Dowd in this pretty big B.'s in the New York Times and sort of trash rash of these younger members do have a following and do have a perspective and it's not just on twitter. It's an entire wing of the Democratic Party US heard I think to come and say oh. We should make nice. Well you know Nancy Pelosi. You were trashing them in the in the pages of the New York Times. I'll very publicly there's a serious rift yeah that has emerged house the White House Caitlyn viewing all this with glee short. Aren't they love any kind of division within the Democratic Party that is par- part of it is saying that the president should be impeached other for half of it is conducting widespread investigations into the president and then of course there are over two dozen ish around that <hes> Democrats running against Donald Trump hoping to beat him in the presidential election so any kind of division like this between a party that is center left and a party that is way more to the left that something that the White House and the trump campaign wants to not only see but also exploit over the next year and a half as they didn't try to make the argument for why trump should be really does Nancy Pelosi Susan. She's been a minority leader in the House of Representative and she's been speaker of the House so representatives. She wants to stay on as speaker she wants the Democrats in after the next election to maintain that majority and not go back to the minority I think she recognizes that any internal divisions among the Democrats are going to help trump get reelected and that's what she's up against these tweets from younger members they might be popular on social media with one wing of the party but at the end of the day they don't actually help advance a progressive agenda they don't get bills drafted or past and so eventually people are going to have to decide whether or not they are playing a team sport here because if they are divided they are not going to unseat an incumbent prosciutto. She's got these thirty moderates. She's she's gotTa worry about who were elected and trump districts and she you know she's kind of giving them a masterclass here and how this place works and saying to them. I want to remain in not so many words I need to remain speaker of the House and you're not helping us and you have to figure out which side you're on and she said you know sometimes you need to compromise is dirty word and you may have to learn that just like she had to learn it when she had to compromise herself so but that said she's also she's not just resisting this far left wing Pelosi's also resisting major calls for impeachment or basic oversight oversight into things like Alex Acosta's handling Epstein until she's finding ourselves further and further not just from the very progressive wing but even from some of the centrist that the consequences are enormous in this feud that has emerged guy stick around. There's more breaking news a Hurricane Watch. It has just been issued for part of the Louisiana coast. We have the latest forecast hi everyone it's poppy harlow in this week's episode of boss files and exclusive interview with Google CEO Sundar Pichai his remarkable story growing up in India with little access to technology to landing the top job at Google job. He'd never raised his hand for for the first time Google response to news of a possible anti-trust antitrust investigation of the company and lawmakers calls to break up big tax plus his pledge to do more to curb the spread of disinformation and he on Youtube. We sat down with him at Google Data Center in Pryor Oklahoma Oklahoma or the company is adding hundreds of jobs as it invests across the Midwest subscribe to boss files today and listen to our exclusive interview with Google CEO Sundar Pichai. Where'd you news? Hurricane Arcane Watch has been issued for parts of the Louisiana coast ahead of a storm that isn't even fully formed yet. Let's go to our meteorologist. Tom Sater Tom. What's happening in the Gulf of Mexico? We don't even have a tropical depression yet but how. How this formed is extremely interesting? This came from a bit of energy inland and then drifted south into the Gulf of Mexico hurricane season started on June. I could be a hurricane as we look at the weekend. It'll be the first landfall during the month of of July in the Gulf since two thousand eight and that was Bonnie Dali. Excuse me that moved into Texas Tropical Storm Watch from the Pearl River to the mouth of the Mississippi in pink is a hurricane watch from the mouth of the Mississippi across us all the way over toward Cameron Louisiana. There's a lot of uncertainty of where this is going to make landfall but there are a couple of things we know for sure a precursor today tremendous amounts of rainfall two tornado watches a flash flood emergency with over two hundred and fifty emergency calls today as the system brushed through the area. The river system can't take anymore right now just to give you an idea the broad circulation and still well off to the West in the next twenty four hours we could have a name storm Berry and then as it makes its way through this bath water. It's like a hot tub in the Gulf. It's warmer than it should be wolf. We're expecting some intensification gets a Category One hurricane but it doesn't matter the category right now. This is all about the rain. We had nine point four two inches. This is one in twenty fifty year event following the one and one hundred year event you had up in D._C.. But it's about the warnings when Hurricane Katrina made landfall the levy on the Mississippi River in New Orleans was just over three feet right now that same levy is at sixteen expected to go to twenty the record is twenty one. This could be the highest level at this Levee System in ninety years at Twenty Feet Wolf. We're looking at this rainfall and this level to be right at the top of the levy system. That's going to be a real test on this system as we watch the system move in for the weekend but it's all about ten fifteen maybe twenty inches of rain to come in next month. It'll be fourteen years since hurricane. Katrina hit that Louisa <hes> area Tom Sater will stay on top of this very serious. Development indeed coming up a former U._S..
