"Joining us Now is the other half of the holding house 19 0 to bed and breakfast in Mr Welling Clark. Welcome to the travel planners show, sir. Good morning. It is And may I ask, I am thinking after speaking to your wife. That you may be the one who says yes, dear and writes the checks. Actually, I say yesterday and I give her my paycheck. Oh, well, there you go. That's a happy happy. Happy Women Trouble, Wade. Ask her. We work. We're working a team. Yeah, I'm sure we'd ask her about the pressures and Idiosyncrasies of running a bed and breakfast and more, particularly for 35 years, takes a certain kind of individual, doesn't it? Yes, the daily grind. It gets it down. And in the most of the industry, the smaller ends 3 to 5 or 36. Years is 50% life expectancy. I don't know die, but so will the end being get out. You're done with it. You work work. It is. It's almost around the clock, isn't it? Just about your on call and at at a small end, whether you have staff or not the guests I have 24 hour access in case something goes wrong so you can fix it in with Three houses that are turn of the century Victorian Life can be interesting. Was the main house built in 19 0, too. Hence the name. Yes, that's based on our history and records. The nurse we could find was in 1902. And when they turn the water tap on, Okay? The idea of keeping all of those people happy, as they said, is An occupation unto itself. Besides just the daily thing of keeping people fed and keeping the place clean, etcetera. You're also the president of the bed and Breakfast Inn Keepers of Colorado. It's a statewide being be association. I wasn't aware they had those. In retrospect, I probably should have thought of that. But what do you do as the president of the B and B innkeepers? Well, it's actually a lot of teamwork with my wife on myself, and she is an electronic guru. I will say that I'm just Average rocket scientist might say way founded the State Association back in 87 year after we established our end, because if we couldn't accommodate guests, we wanted to find other quality and throughout the state. Look close by and far away that we could refer them to. And so the better. Breakfasting keepers of Colorado has gone up and down and the B and B industrious contracted a little bit in college actually, significantly in Colorado. But if gets are traveling anywhere in Colorado, the website for the State Association is called Hands of Colorado that I and and S o F Chico L. O. R A. D o dot org's That's all one All one word, right? Gotta work Super and then we're all different, but we do provide personalized service and Anything about it. Being B is you have built in concierge service. Our assistants are dynamite. I tell our guests my wife, Ann doll, our assistance or the 18 the cats, the B team, and I'm the C minus team. You gotta have a lot of what's what's the hell Yeah, he's fit on the back chair here purring away and she's a little ham. What's her name? She's usually her name is Ming toy. She's black, the rescue kitty, and he is a sweetie. But I just told my previous guest and this is off topic, but I just saw a video yesterday they suffered cathedral had an adopted the cat adopt the cathedral for 11 years and managed to sleep through the queen's visit, by the way. But after 11 years she passed away and that gave her a funeral and buried her in the churchyard. In your copious free time. Check out dork and D O r k I and Magnificat And you'll love it. It's more than 7000 people have looked at her funeral. Oh, well. Well, Ours is alive and a lover and she's the official greeter of the bed and breakfast. Yes, I see where it says that there's a perfect hospitality. Good. What is it today of the end? Current capacity is we have six suites two per building. We're authorized for a total of eight. But if that this operation works out real well for us If we wanted to expand, we could What we've done in the past because Victorian bedrooms were that large. We've actually combined two together into like a large master suite. You know? Nice. That bedroom area sitting room and all that fireplaces. Tubbs for two. And what that does actually compared to the hotel industry is given gives our guest will get more privacy. If they want to stay in and vegetate stay away from the world they can do that they could go out. It also gives us with the three structures two per room. Or common area. You might say I know for our B and B. We have a high percentage of common areas so people can get out. They don't have to feel trapped and in the pandemic. Frustration is really setting in on a lot of people were saying they're getting out there more than usual because they just have to get away. And any thing about that is our staffers all around here, working there. Calm staff. There are assistance that keep me out of trouble. But they're building concierge service. They love talking with the guests, and it's very, very personalized as well as they live in the area, so they know the ins and outs they can pass on to travelers. So you are open right now during the pandemic. Is there anything special that our listener should know about packing to come there? Well, Colorado is the end the pandemic and definitely bring your own mask. Most lodging properties will find out about us we provide are And sanitizer. Things like that, with most of us have mass per sale of people needed. Are they required? Are cleaning procedures have been changing, adapted to the beat the pandemic requirements, and so we've adjusted for that Another example is operational. We have used to be there by eight of one large table at eight o'clock, nine o'clock, and now we have individual tables scattered throughout the different building nicely done with the social distancing at all. Then for the wine and cheese Social in the evening. Where we have vegetables, cheese crackers, glasses of wine. We now provide individual trays, and the guest can just come pick them up and either sit outside. That's good weather. It's nice now. Few days ago, it was snowing way. We got some of that in Missouri, actually, about halfway across to Columbia. We didn't get it here on the eastern side, but Yeah, It's a little early for that here That way we've had to go and you do have Ah, evening snacks or ah, for lack of a better term. A happy hour. That's pretty cool. You have to say it's we call it a one achieve social hour and we've actually had guests it in different rooms talking to each.

"Maybe couldn't get a babysitter. I mean sure, but, like couldn't have postponed. Was there a time limit? I don't know. I really I can't pretend they can get into the mind, Mr. giambra all I can tell you is this is not a person who makes good decisions for a living. I'm just saying. I mean, the good decision was that he actually didn't just leave a child alone. Is it though? I mean, would you have wanted him to just leave the kid at all right now, we are, that is nitpicking to sit and argue about whether it's better that he went on the burglaries just trying to find the silver line's. Beautiful. Right. Thank you, heal. I'm gonna put that in a book. He'll steal it for me. We're going to berate Hollis willing. There you go. That was where again, Florida now I was going to tell you about a Florida man who placed bodily fluids in a mug of water for a female co worker who ended up getting a slap on the wrist. But I won't thank you already talked about Tony Robbins. Oh. This is worse. And I read it and I was like, I can't in good conscience. Tell the good people of the mytalk one zero seven one listening audience about that because they will just barf. So instead, I am going to tell you about something that had happened at a wal mart. Okay. Walmart, visit WalMart pretty frequently. The WalMart is it's well, it's hip hop in place. It's happening. Can't hop happen in place. Right. And this particular wall to the mart is in Houston, my old stomping grounds. In fact, this old, WalMart, no. We didn't have a WalMart in the city from what I remember this was out in the suburbs, and a place called cypress. Okay. Here's what had happened. Apparently. There was a guy by the name of Craig Valentine. Okay. Okay. Mr valentine. Any relation to Donna. No. I don't think some good could be guess we should ask her. Well, apparently he tried to leave the store with some stuff now hit apparently bought some stuff, but he also bought like eighteen pack a Gatorade. And when he was leaving, I think I don't know. I haven't been to a WalMart. I will confess in a long time. They do this at the COSCO's though. Oh, they check your receivable. Check your receipt. Yeah. And apparently, a guy by the name of mo-, Hendra rata. How wa he's seventy five years young. And he went to check the receipt from Mr. Valentine's purchases and found that that eighteen pack Gatorade was not only. He didn't see it right? Mr. Valentine told mister rata halwa that everything was paid for it's fine snatched, the receipt and kept walking, Mr Rod Howard, remember seventy five year old Terada. How says, well, here's the thing I don't think you paid for that. And you're gonna need to pay for it. At that point. Mr. Craig did something dumb, Mr. Craig Ballantyne? He beat the crap out of Mr. rutta our he punched him right row in the face. Chest bumped him dropped him to the ground with a right hook all over Gatorade for an eighteen pack a Gatorade he left the fifteen year veteran of WalMart. Mr Rod, Howa, seventy five years young with a bloodied lip a bump on his head and Blinn bent glasses. So now here's a delicious part is if that wasn't the Gatorade. Yes, no. Mr. Valentine claimed that Mr. Ron Howard attacked him. What? In what world we believe that. Right. So you want me to believe the seventy five year old man. Can you pay for your stuff? Please. All of those injuries after attacking somebody else. No. In fact, they knew that, that's not what had happened and he was charged with causing injury to an elderly individual. That's off. All in addition to stealing eighteen pack of Gatorade which has to cost about ten dollars. If that. Yeah. About road for an ex story. We have to go to Louisiana and we also have to remember yesterday. Do you remember yesterday? Pocked. I know we talked a little bit about 'cause but we didn't know the whole story of the guy who stole the security camera. Oh, yeah. Well, I have the whole story. Okay. And I'd like to share it with you. Here's what happened. Forty three year old Franklin wells Bacher junior was told by his neighbor that his that he could borrow a paintbrush from his garage. Right neighborly thing to do. I love that. So Mr. Franklin wells Bacher, junior forty three years old went into his neighbor's garage. And instead of grabbing the paintbrush grabbed. The surveillance camera. Okay. Meanwhile, his neighbor being having been alerted now to the fact that somebody was in his garage, watched it on a livestream. The whole thing happened. He watched Mr. wells Bacher junior grab the surveillance camera, walk away with it, and then turned up next theme with all the belongings, and Mr. wells, well, boxers house. So on the live stream he sees Mr. wells Bacher, take your camera. And then he sees like, you know, jostle like you see, like a little bit of shirt a little bit of ground a little bit of the sky. And then the next thing you see, is the inside of Mr. wells, Bacher house. He then called the authorities and said, excuse me. Impress their like of what he was like the camera that is, catching the thievery tennis, so weird. Anybody thought that was a good idea. I mean, there are things you can steal that are good idea. The camera that it's catching new stealing things. That's not one of to be those stupidest things that, like, there would be no record of that. Yeah. It's actually keeping record. That's what it does. My favorite is. There's a video somewhere online that you'd have to Google, and don't I wish I, I apologize. I'm pulling this out of my rear end proverbially like the Tim Hortons lady. Yes, boy, I watched that video the other day. It's delightful, the uncensored version, Tim Horton hears Apu. Yes, Google Tim, Hortons pooper, and you'll. Anyway back to video. There's a video of a guy who was some somehow there's a story about why he did this. Somebody was ceiling something off his front porch. And so he literally created this like device that not only would it looked like a package. But so somebody would steal. And it looked like I think new iphone. Or some kind of apple device, so very expensive. Right. And he would place it on his front porch, and then wait and somebody would take it. And he built this thing so that when you open the box it would do kind of, like, remember how we they used to tell us like, don't steal clothes because they have those in games. And if you try to pull it off the Inc would spray will he created it with glitter? But like an insane amount of glitter, like, like ten pounds of Glenn. With the camera so that he could capture it all on. And just to watch a video of all of these people reacting when they think they've stolen this thing. And then all the sudden this just bomb goes off, essentially, and they realized there that they've been head. Yeah, it's kinda delightful. Look at glitter bombers that idea and my heart wants to do something like that. But I also afraid of retribution. Oh, yeah. I would never do it. I'd be afraid, they'd come kill me. Exactly. And we already have two people on our tail. Yeah. So tolliday when we come back on the Colleen and Bradley show to forty five every day we play a little game that game is called the throw back live. Hollies gotta face. I don't know what it means yet we'll find out fairy tales. We'll find out after the break. Oh, jeez. After this just over a week left in the mytalk food for families Dr presented by Coburn's delivers and green mill we'd love to see you out. Live broadcast where we're collecting food donations for second harvest heartland. There's just three live broadcast left and clean. I have the next two tomorrow afternoon at Klein Nissan and Maplewood than Wednesday. The twenty sixth at fantastic. Sams in Saint Anthony on Thursday, the twenty seven Donna and Steve will do our last live broadcast.

"No spoilers, please. I'm still in last season. Thanks, Tom Busby. Twenty-five after the hour now on first light. And what is this nineteen fifty four Kevin car joins us. Now, they do with the debut of a new movie from are you kidding me? Orson welles. Good morning, Michael. Yeah. It seems kinda odd to say let's talk about the new Orson Welles movie, though, he passed many years ago. This is one of those infamous movies that have never been finished. He started it in one thousand nine hundred seventy s it's a movie called the other side of the wind and through re-shoots shooting problems. I ran all the way you production through nineteen seventy six, and then it was stuck with legal battles. And eventually he passed. And this is one of those infamous movies that never got finished. We'll finally the people who controlled his work and some of the producers got together and said, hey, we're finally going to finish this movie in two thousand eighteen they showed it at Venice. It's called the other side of the wind, and it's a somewhat introspective. Look at the way Hollywood was back in the nineteen seventies. Which is when he shot this. And it's about a director played by John Huston who had been kind of self imposed exile for years and came back to finish his own movie and have a big comeback and then gets killed in a car accident. And it's the story of them trying to put that together, and they cobbled it together from various pieces of footage and various behind the scenes shots of it. So so it is put together almost as a as a fake documentary style stars some of the some big names in a not just John Houston. But Susan Strasberg Senate and Peter Bogdanovich, there's a lot of names that you'd recognize especially if you were following Hollywood in the early nineteen seventies. Oh, how many Oscars do you give this one? Well, I don't think he's gonna win any Oscars. Let's give this one two statuettes out of five. Well, I'm glad Mr. wells isn't around to hear that. Thanks, Kevin car. Twenty.

The right time in the right way listening intently and exuding an aura of relaxation and confidence his whole. Attitude was one of having already made the sale and he was here to simply help, Mr. dasher in whatever way he could at the end of the meeting Mr. dasha was as happy, as Harry and their final handshake. And words were extremely cordial Harry knew he had a lifetime customer Harry of course, was elated as. He headed back to. The office, with. The, signed order so happy over making the sale he did not, stop to figure out what is commissioned would. Be when the thought did enter his mind he quickly shrugged it off knowing you would probably still be behind on his advances anyway. And he did not want to ruin the way, felt by thinking about the state of his. Told him that. I, Mr.. Wells sounded surprise but that quickly changed to a tone of delight that is wonderful Harry congratulations I knew you could do it Harry beamed. And lean back in his chair nodding his head and thanking Mr. wells for all the compliments he, hung up and just sat for a few minutes allowing that. Good feeling to flow through him. Then called his wife and told her the good news Harry sat quietly for a few more minutes. Than looked at his watch started calling and making appointments having no trouble. Getting appointments with the people and before. He stop is calendar was filled for. The next couple of weeks Harry, little candle, the following morning not wanting, to break any part of the routine that led to the previous day success but. His. Attitude was different he did not kneel and. Beg like a condemned man going through a ritual for the sake, of propriety knowing all along that it was useless and. He would be led to the gallows anyway but rather like a friend bringing, a feeling of gratitude for the gift he knew he would be receiving, naturally Harry had lunch in the same restaurant he. Was even on. An, order. Chicken egg drop soup and shell main but thought it safe to deviate slightly in have want on soup and sub gum chummy the big. Difference today was again his attitude he sat at a small table in the middle of the restaurants, smiling and ate the food with deep enjoyment and relish When the plates, were cleared away and the waiter brought. His fortune cookie he leaned back in the chair, one arm over the back of the chair nonchalantly toying with the fortune. Cookie feeling warm glow inside pick the. Cookie up smiled as he rolled it. Around in his hand tapped it on the, plate spun it around playing, spin the fortune cookie and eventually leaned over and snapped in half an extricated the. Fortune. Today is a day to assert yourself he. Pulled his shoulders back yeah that's right is back with straight as, he walked from the restaurant and self-confidence exuded.

That the government is looking into it they're investigating, whether there was a, break in the local radio station. With someone is doing this and it goes on for about six nights and each time, there's a short message from God some people react with, fear and others with scorn and and. Yet Joe Struck by the intrusion of the supernatural into his life and so he starts thinking about. "You know and you so you have the sort of bond with other parents when you wonder when you think about the pain of the loss of child but there is a very big difference in life how you die there is a big difference and there are parents of children who were living but have done nothing with their lives so life is very complex so stephen curry mark christopher wells in afghanistan a word about afghanistan my column this week is actually about afghanistan because that butcher who who carved up the army drummer in britain last week he stood there boasting with his hands filled with the blood of the man he had carved up alive well this is an eye for an eye because of what the british army doesn't afghanistan you kill muslims so we kill you the point of course is the the upside down nature of everything that this man in the only reason i'm reacting is that a lot of the world believes that they don't condone terror i'm not saying people can donate although there are people who obviously but they buy the argument that well hey we in the west or killing muslims so that's why some of them are killing western civilians but that's not the point it's the opposite we are dying for muslims in afghanistan if we leave and we are going to then the taliban might take over and the taliban kill muslims the taliban's throw acid in muslim girls is if they go to school they murder western nurses who inoculate muslim children against polio that's what his son died for as much as for american freedom he died four muslims that's the lie that your by the way your kids are taught to college your kids are taught this lie they're not taught to support the terrorism but they are taught the lie that the terrorist is reacting to americans or brits or anyone else killing muslims we are killing taliban now tally von is the same as muslims then we have been lied to we have been told the whole time that the taliban representative perversion of islam right you can't have it both ways muslims ought to be sending mr wells in texas a thank you note afghans ought to be having a memorial day for their own and for us as unfortunately you may come to see if the united states pulls out and.

"Criticisms that putin is an article that journalists and dissidents are routinely killed within his reign and you can see it's kind of obvious it's almost hiding in plain sight that one reason he has for saying all these kind things about putin is that he was always interested in doing business deals there and he had to know at some level that if he was out there criticizing putin would make it very hard to hold miss universe there and even more difficult to proceed with a trump tower and of course in the beginning of his presidential campaign year and a half later twenty fifteen he has yet another deal going to do a trump tower in moscow which he's not telling the public about and at the same time making again positive statements about putin so so let's dial back a couple of years again so after the miss universe pageant the daughter of arizona lara of the billionaire real estate developer who partnered with trump on the miss universe pageant and try try to partner with him on a trump tower deal in moscow so he his his daughter goes to the miss universe office in new york with a gift for donald trump from putin and you're right it was a black lacquered box inside was a sealed letter from putin what the letter said has never been revealed i think that is the most tantalizing part what was in there it is it is a mystery and a mr well worth resolving but just to take the story even further so putin delivers this gift courtesy of the agalarov and then cut to january two thousand fifteen and this is a new revelation in.

"The honor he was gonna get he say is they're going to trigger the military veterans advocacy in louisiana and he got the people's how champion and award given a saints home games to recognize the exceptional achievements of louisiana residents sixty five and older again in the award he declined he said the ongoing controversy the nfl players disrespecting the national flag force meter declined to participate in the presentation since this award is tainted would the dishonorable access to the nfl is players i cannot accept it the saint stand got in on it and respectfully we chose mr wells for the award blah blah blah blah blah he has chosen very publicly not to accept this on a very publicly so in other words they didn't like the way he went and did interviews about it right they didn't like mr wells that much after they honored him now they now they like sliding him in their press releases let's be honest that's what they're doing right i mean let's get down to it we respect his decision he has arrived but we're still going to slide him in this press release and say that he's trying to make himself vamos by doing all these interviews then they went on to list all of their community appearances and financial commitments and their donation instead of military and organizations and distress how wonderful they are so bottom line is they picked an old man to win an award and he gave and the return of serve facial and said screw you fingers up i'm not doing it because you guys disrespect the flag and veterans and now it would appear to me that the uh the old guys got the saints all ruffled under the collar and now the saints are bragging how much they do in their community to help people and no one cares but they really care about is pretty obvious now is people are getting sick and tired of these football blair's sitting in kneeling during the national anthem as that map pretty clear at this point i think it as there's a lot of people turned off by it and they're just not having it and you know it's funny is these players don't care what people think have you noticed that they're going to do whatever they want and they.

"Mean big dave sat down like a bunch of tasks like five five knows five in the first half uh that's been the big thing for me and matthew fumble in the ball late in the second half 10 seven at the time they were already in field goal range he was stretching to get a first down just under a minute left in the half fumbled the football caused the bill some points and now we sit here down 10 and they need to get something going so the saints released a statement today saying it's unfortunate and disappointing that a retired navy commander who declined an honor at sunday's game during the bears game has been telling media that he no longer supports the nfl football because a player protests rather league before entering the national anthem and then they came out with a statement the say will matalau mr wells decision and subsequent media appearances to drag repairs an organization from continuing to honour and support our military and veterans the st said in their statement unwavering commitment to honour support recognize our servicemen and women and veterans the saints also emphasize our players have stood at the end of every game since franchises inception in sixty seven with the exception of the week threegame at caroline carolina what have you of our players did say and quote so the bottom line is they did neil they did said they have blown off the anthem stopped selling it like they've never done it before when they have done it it doesn't matter if they've done it this year they did it right is that the truth like try not to sell that you've always done it when you haven't evolve is done it until now when you're players are doing it now now they're doing it since then the saints players have been doing it before the them during the anthem in in every game they're doing it every week now still minivans abboud the nailing players in the superdome even though the boeing has not taken place during the anthem several of the players continue to write about it the carrow cameron jordan touched upon this camera jordan said we said it's disrespectful said neil we kneel before why are you nailing still continue to ignore the y what am i we miss saying he says i'm not mad only motivated to do more in our community than before one day i will have the desired impact wells declined.
