"Nobody's trying to 80 because everyone thinks that Pelosi's power comes from the father, who was the politician, but he wasn't a you know, it wasn't a big leading You will be the bearer of Baltimore or something like that wasn't it at the time, probably a moderate Democrats. Right? And the party machine Democrats just my dad, but he wasn't as fanatical as this woman. This woman is a fanatical crazy woman. So she really isn't the power. She's part of the power structure. That runs the state and a very important part of it. We don't have to go into Ah Blower Gate right now they're getting, but she's trying Todo. Better match with that one of our arrogance. You know what from let them eat cake left and get a hair hair. Do you know I mean Even a local news turned on that I turned it on Friday, they were all turning against during running the poor women. Ooh! She's attacking. What happened, said that It's the the getting money that's behind all of it. So far as I can tell if they were benign. If they had done a good job in the state, I wouldn't care. I understand how politics works dollars money, right? Sure they're not benign. And they're not good managers. They destroyed the state. Long before covert. The state was already running into a stone wall. Member of the Jerry Brown Railroad train to nowhere, Right. Remember that? Where that money go? There's so many things that were being done just for pure, unadulterated. Green. So then Chapter two off the book. I'll fight for America also answers the question. It's cool the virus profiteers. Think about that the virus profiteers fortunes are being made. On this. Public health disaster. And The book ends with the chapter staring into the abyss, which is where we are right now. Staring into the abyss. Are we also going into the abyss? We don't know where this is going to go. We made in our hearts. We think it's all gonna work out because that's how we are as humans. We have to believe things will be okay, right? From the French revolution. To the American leftist revolution from climate history. It's a racial hysteria. That's the last chapter. And it says America is on the precipice of an abyss. We're staring into a self made oblivion where everything that has previously defined the greatest nation in human history is erased. Rather than fighting with a last breath to avoid it. We are running headlong into the chasm like lemmings stampeding over a cliff. One last line, Josh as he wrote, quote when I fall into the abyss. I go straight into it, Head down, heels up, and I'm even pleased I'm falling. In just such a humiliating position. And for me, I find a beautiful unquote. I don't find it beautiful. Not at all. But we're going to relive the nightmare. So many hundreds of millions of people have lived through around the world after capitalism was erased. And after the radicals took over their country. Remember the red Guards toppling statues in America. Remember the red Guards? The used toppling statues, Remington renaming universities all of the landmarks. This is how the Communist operated every country they take over. They erased the culture and they replaced the culture. And so when no one stopped them from knocking down Confederate war scratches except a few voices. What? Oh, I can't I didn't fight. Mr Ward doesn't mean anything to me. Okay, but when they came to the Confederate statues You said nothing because you weren't a Southerner. Right? Then, when they came to George Washington statue, you said nothing because it's only a statue. But then when they beat up the grandmother in the streets of New York as she went shopping the packs of wild teams There was no one there to help her. That's what we're living through. Right now. It's just outright Communist revolution. Josh, do you think Dr Savage that if Trump wins reelection, the rioting and violence that we see now is going to be incomparable to the destruction and chaos? If Trump wins, persons yes, yes, 100% feels like we're staring into another. There's no winner here. There's no real winner here because everyone thinks that magically of Biden winds, you know, give a hand signal. And all of these violent dlm. Marxists are going to go home. They're not going to go home. Where are they going to go? This is their livelihood, destroying things. So I don't see a winner here. I don't see how how it how it winds. The on ly thing here is that if Trump wins and the violence increases He will then have to crack down using the military to do something more pointed. Do you think that if Trump wins reelection There could be A potential civil war outbreak because of the temperature being so hot right now, and the Democrats laying down the tracks of trying to be legitimized the election. Kamala Harris today Russia could intervene and Biden could lose. You've got the transition project with Podesta. War gaming out what happens if Trump doesn't concede you've got hot, A Bloomberg You got a Bloomberg lieutenant from Mohawk Fish, which is his secret tech organization going on Axios the other day, and Trump's gonna win by a mile on election day, And then you gotta wait a week later with the mail in vote. I know that if I'm asking a very heated questions, so I respected if you want a baby. You now, but could be potentially see something Civil War as if Trump wins because the temperature is so hawks A lot of people fear that they figure even though I hate Biden and Mala Harris, they can talk to the rioters and tone it down. I don't believe that's true. I think that the rioters and now Dentally unto themselves. Look at what they just did to Ted Wheeler, the far left mayor of Portland. They turned on the light turn on the far left governor of Argon. These anarchists, communists, Marxists. R. A machine that could only be stopped the violence. So, no, I don't think that this is the magical stoppage remembered my 2040 that published a book called Stopped Coming. Civil War. You may recall that book and people said, Oh, yeah, right. It was a best seller for a reason I saw what was coming after Obama, Obama laid the seeds down for a civil war. Like a little good Marxists. He left all the way to the bank. You know him and Michelle made hundreds of millions of dollars. While professing their their their roads. Their philosophy speaks so no, it's not a good time. We're on a bridge. And if Trump wins, that will be more riots initially, but I think at that point Trump will have the mandate. To expand on that a generalization. Join those savage nation.

"This is the first year in my 12 years in Oakland Unified that I'm actually not teaching a class. Instead, Zalman has a new job. Tech support guy He'd been doing some work on top of his teaching duties for years. But now it's all texts. A port all the time. Do you have the computer in front of you? He spends his days on phone and video chats, helping staff students and families navigate the transition to distance learning. First thing, what you do is make sure you turn it all the way off. What we're going to do is we're gonna totally reset the computer this year. Every Oakland Unified School has someone in a similar role. Some teachers like Zalman have been reassigned to these jobs full time. Others are being paid to do them on top of other responsibilities. Zalman helped get loner computers out to nearly half the school students during the first week of school. Then another set of issues cropped up. Even when families get home with that chrome book in hand or that hot spot in hand. They don't always know how to use it. And then, of course, Things go wrong. Seventh grader Dora Andrews has been borrowing a chromebook from her school since the spring on the phone with Salman, she explains it was working fine when it suddenly stopped recognizing her home. WiFi network languages now are in an attic. He pop it up. And I was trying the leader ofthe there's going, but it wouldn't come off. Well, I'm happy to help you. This is a problem that a lot of the school computers have been having have a way of fixing it. Okay, We're going to put the computer into what's called Develop remote door. I got connected to Zelman in the second week of school because they're teachers noticed she hadn't been able to connect to zoom. She'd been trying to use her phone. But I will not hold for a minute after she and Zellman get the WiFi dilemma fixed. They move onto enrolling the computer in the district's network being in the network blocks kids from gaming sites and other inappropriate Web material and automatically installs browser extensions and APS students need for school. So you're going to type in a special email address, and which I'm sure she can log into her email account where her teachers have been sending messages. She hasn't been ableto access. Is it thing that you're missing? Sing like email in past where you enter, Don't match. Eventually they get things sorted. It works A. The whole process takes less than 15 minutes. Sometimes the problems aren't so simple. If a phone call doesn't cut it, Zalman used zoom or face time in the most complicated cases he meets people in person family is, you know, get frustrated very easily in a lot of the lot of the conversations that I have I'm playing role of both support but also doing some therapy of like It's okay like this is hard for everybody since school started, Zelman estimates he's helped 40 to 50 students and families. Got your computer's working. I'm glad that you know what Don't forget to send the message to Mr Pence, Sir. Mr Ward's They know that you're all set to go for tomorrow. Okay? A couple days after Durai attacked Zelman, the chromebook was acting up again seem problem. Eventually she got another borrowed school computer, which seemed to be working. "Challenge yourself to be the best you can be, and it sounds very cliche, but when you're feeling down, you feel on sad when you feel in Med, challenge yourself to get out of that state very quickly, so the states in which we rest in live in and and become or determined by how we see ourselves, and how we think about ourselves so right there your attitude, your mindset. Your energy determines oftentimes. Your outcome so be very very aware of that, and in terms of just day-to-day tools that I give people is when you have an awareness of where it is that you're at at all times, mentally physically In business then you give yourself a really fair shake as where it is that you really are where it is that you really WanNa go, but I'll tell you just that prime example times in my build of this training facility training brands where I was looking at franchise that was I was bullshitting myself, but I wasn't being honest with myself because I was BS myself. "Has quite the challenge on his hands the latest census figures paint a grim picture of soaring rates of homelessness across New South Wales figures released late last year we showed that crisis services have had to turn away more than half of the people who have asked for help getting a roof over their heads and most people who did receive some form of temporary accommodation a bed in a crisis shelter a boarding house hostel or motel did not end up with a permanent harm that means even with the national help most people aren't escaping homelessness so the thirty four million dollar question ease what happens at the end of the thirty days of people are afforded thirty days inn hotel accommodation what happens at the end of that well hopefully we've worked with people successfully to be able to find them permanent accommodation is a stock available so we have a program to programs actually the social formal housing fund where around sixty percent of the way through the build and or delivery of stock there as part of the thirty four million dollar announcement pile so I was able to extend products like ring choice right choice use stop safely and they private rental subsidies but right now at the end of the thirty day period do you have enough stock available for everybody to be able to be transferred into permanent house well that's what we need more Sushma formal housing and we've a Dodge that that's what we're building more but when you talk about the immediacy of the response there are other products that are available to get picked last is that a commitment from you that everyone who wants permanent housing will get it at the end of the thirty day period I'd like to be able to give a guarantee for every person obviously this is an enormous challenge obviously it's an enormous challenge the stats suggest Mr ward's best intentions may not.

"Remember I. I don't know if it's this movie or it's an episode. But I remember something like like Commissioner Gordon goes and says we're you know we're we're you guys what happened like Oh we made a wrong turn ended up at the dock and the whole time. I'm like you guys are the police of this city. You should know where every turn is an every nook and cranny like you or the police force ever in the history of everything they go from the worst police force to the most corrupt police force like ten years ago. So let's think about this. So Batman movie or a focus more than movie but splinter was this before for the longest time. This is the only piece of home media you could get for the Batman. Sixty six series. You weren't able to get any the TV episodes or anything like that. You couldn't buy them so. I remember my mom bind the VHS of this and watching it and it was great because the show you know. Like I said it had Batman and Robin but it also had the villains. I mean this. Is this movie if nothing else is amazing just because we have joker ridler penguin cat woman all together. I mean and Frank Gordon is amazing as the Ridler darn right he is and best. Ridler Burgess Meredith. This is amazing. As the Penguin Cesar Romero is amazing. The joker and as I was stating before and I know album AC- This brand's GonNa make a smart comeback and I really. She's the Fed my comeback. Once we get there but I feel like every joker has worked for the time it was created and I have a hard time picking one better than the other. Because I feel Caesar. A marriage jokers perfect for this time. I have no quarrel. Cesar Ramirez Joker. I know that. But I'm saying I'm talking about jokers in general and we'll get there. There's only one joker I have a problem with only want. We'll get there but you know that's why people like. Aw Jack Nicholson was better than it's either. Ramiro I can say. Yeah but I can say you know what it was to interpretations of the character and they're both perfectly valid just like Adam West as Batman as valid. Now Gentlemen. Yeah they're completely different. I have a question for you. This is this is a main question. Do we should talk main questions on this. Show but Lee meriwether Julie Newmar cap woman. Which do you prefer? Well I mean the most the the cat woman I remember most is from the movie. Yeah same same here just because I had this to to watch more. I remember watching sixty six to show on fx on reruns. But this was the Batman of the time that I had. It's the only thing I can bring it home. You know and I you know for the longest time. I didn't realize there was another actress as count and I want to talk about birth. Kit came one touch. Didn't know certificate. No but I know the whole evening. Jumar thing was pretty crazy actually and I remember. They filmed this movie like in a break from season. One right up to season one. They made this movie They they they did season one of the show and then it took off so well. And they're like okay. We need to. We need to really Market that's why he didn't really You know strike when it's hot. And then they made this movie and then season now. I don't know if you guys have the BLU ray of the show but If you do you'll notice that she's in two very long season to his exit. Broke up the two parts If you try to get this show digitally or whatnot. So when after this movie was so successful than they had this long season two and then the show can alike? You know. We'll more can we do? And they they try to bring him back girl to spice things up and then they're like okay. We're done we're going to bring on the Brande's comics and change thanks. I think the way you just talked about. The production order seems more at the way they do a lot of animated series. Where they what was it like an initial thirteen episodes and then if it picks up the second season is like sixty some episodes or something and you know and then later when they divided into home release. They really confused to look at like the release order of Batman the animated series. And the order if you buy on DVD right. But I realized that I was reading some stuff. Here that free Gorshenin the mazing Ridler and this movie like does not appear any of the second season he doesn't. He returns in the third season. Yeah they got that Gosh what's his name. The guy that was playing Gomez Adams Adams off yes. I'm drawing a blank. Is John Austin while I have never watched the show like all the way through. I have only seen random Syndicated episodes On television so I mean I can only go by like you know what I've heard for certain things like the dip in production costs for season three You know the the changing of the cat women like I could. I can barely remember Earth a kit as woman ever Lee meriwether for the movie is the one I recognize the most But I also know Julie Newmar. I'm with you for a long time like I knew of things like I remember. Always watching the opening credits getting excited to see if the back girl Batmobile. You know comes. The bat cycle with that girl comes running across the screen Right and I. I've seen a lot of it but I couldn't tell you where where an episode is placed together like except for the only episode. I could probably tell you is is a hi diddle riddle and then the next episode of the first two episodes of the of the series about it. Let's see I have the third season I bought it when there's a special. Mbbs came out. It was ten bucks for the DVD set of season three and it came with a five dollar ticket to the movie. So I bought that one and then I have a have the all the digital files of the series somewhere so you. You'd be happy to do that. I have it on Blu Ray and I have known digital but when I watched it I watched it on Blu Ray. So how is it thousand? GonNa ask you how you're actually watched it on physical media. Yes this is A. This is a flip from last time. We're Brian gave us like heck for For not streaming and being all hippie old school. Yeah he was he was hitting the spring I love streaming but by when it might have been I forget when it came on Blu Ray it might have been within it might around two thousand sixteen because I know there's a big thing that's why they had it out when bbs came out every time. I go to Walmart and I walked through the movie section. I see Batman Sixty six. I'm like I need to get that collection. Yeah how does it look because I feel like the colors pop but does it? Does it like you know I'm watching on? Dvd okay that's what it even then in DVD definition. There's just things you start to notice where we're at the resolutions higher and like sometimes with order things when they were filled with low deaf and all that type stuff just doesn't hold up or like it looks horrible and high read well to put perspective So when that BLU ray box set came out. Tom My mon- my way. Jen went and got because she knew how much it meant to me. So you have a good wife so so in the box it. You know really big. There's a button you can press. Play the Bat The Bat Song who bat team with it open and yes it opens it up. It has a little hot wheel batmobiles. I still have the box centrating cards and then they felt there. There's a little tidbit from Adam. West and all this stuff is fantastic and the colors are brighter in in HD. You know with the BLU. Ray and the remastered stop the sounds great but putting even more perspective I think it was two years two years before Adam West. Pass away I was in Pittsburgh as I'm from Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh at the time and a year prior to when I met him west. Burt Ward Adam how to cancel 'cause health issues so when he came back you is a big deal and I'm in the queue in a room and this guy comes up and the questions for out of Western Burke and he's like yes. This question is for Mr Ward as you knew the Blue Ria set has just recently came out.

Emilio Estevez Talks New Movie:The Public

"There's a movie now called the public which I think everybody should see it's about a public library and sit in that takes place with the homeless people that are there. But why should I talk about it? When I have the director writer producer and star. You must be exhausted. Amelia, I am. I am here is anyway Amelia. Thank you. Thank you for being so much extra. So you know, we talked a little bit before about how you seem to disappear in the right people who are interviewing now are always saying if that was the last movie you made was the breakfast club. Right. True. True. His back in the library after thirty five years. Imagine that they never thirty five years. Yes. True. But you this one really did take some time for you to get launched. It took. In fact, this week is the is the anniversary of the twelve years that it's where I began this this this started April first two thousand seven it began with the LA times arriving at the house. I open it up. I read an article written by librarian who was retiring from Salt Lake City is named chip ward. And the piece was about how libraries had become defacto homeless shelters and Halliburton's were now tasked with being first responders and effectively being defacto social workers. And so I was really moved by the piece I had done the bulk of my research for Bobby down at the at the downtown branch public library. And so I went back to the library to see if it wasn't fact every bit as bad as. Mr. ward was talking about. And of course, it was not localized to Salt Lake City. This was happening in Los Angeles and in really every urban library across the country. And so I started imagining what it would look like if the patrons most of whom were homeless and some of whom are mentally ill. What if they stayed in old fashioned sixties protests? What would that look like on a particularly cold night? They decided we're not leaving how would law enforcement react. How would the press spin that? And how might oh politician who is in the middle of an election cycle. How might he use that event and change their for political gain? You hear about that? And you think oh, there's a sit in its the public library, and I'm not knocking any documentaries that are made about it. You know, who wasteman or actually his great. It's about this. But in order for an audience to be paying attention. You can't give them a sermon and say you can't. Should be doing this. No, it can't be didactic. It can't you can't beat the audience over the head. It is. I didn't make a what someone called a kale salad kill salads. Good free. And you should eat it. I don't want it. Yeah. So so I think this is more like a gluten free cheesecake continue to food analogy wanna see that post. This movie is a rule in free. She. But but we've we're on a thirty city tour. I've taken the film from Seattle down the coast cross the country, we screened at libraries at at at the convention Llabres convention in New Orleans. We did it in up in Seattle at the at the midwinter conference screen it for a homeless advocacy groups screened in homeless shelters, and what's what has been so gratifying for me as a filmmaker is to watch the story unfold for the people I made it for this movie celebrates the misfits and the outcast and the marginalized and the poor and they're seeing themselves on screen and there. Wow. That's that's me. That's and it's inspiring them. They're feeling empowered as they see it. And so that is ultimately who I made the movie for so it's it's been quite a ride, and I believe worth every bit of the twelve years that I've invested in in this like. Just because how many days did you actually have to shoot it? So will you know? What it takes to take independent movie this day and a half? Right. But it takes twelve years to get exactly you're in twenty three days. Again, was I had to be very well prepped, and it was a feat really of the editor of this film because the movie has an enormous cast. And it had we had to make it look like they were all there at the same time. And so you reach out the Jeffrey. A lot of the more are now. Right. So Alec Baldwin. You've got for five days Jeffrey Wright comes in and out of shooting Westworld. And he's got six days and Taylor shillings in the middle of doing oranges, a new black and she's got four days. So and you're looking at everybody schedule, and you're thinking don't they understand don't they get it? But actors they don't unless you've directed. You. Don't totally understand what the director is is going through trying to make all that. And I don't bring any of that stress to the set. I don't they never know what's going on

"Yes. Clearly, this is a man who has suffered. Clearly, this is a person who is overcome obstacles like his girlfriend leaving to go to France. And also his punk bandmates breaking up with him. Just just terrible. Great things were not happening by late nineteen ninety-five mister O'Rourke had fallen into the deepest depression. He can remember he worked for an uncle tech business because it was a job. He spent nights alone listening to his. Sets because it past the time little bit of a sad case mister O'Rourke said more than two decades later lawyering after what his friends describes a quarter life crisis. Mister O'Rourke has has arrived at a midlife. Crossroads of enormous consequence with revealing parallels to his time in New York, forty six and searching after a narrow Senate loss in Texas last year that propelled the former El Paso, congressman democratic stardom. He has been driving around the country alone. Introducing himself to strangers deciding if he wants to run for president. So there's long piece about how it parallels is time in New York when he'd like sit in his room and look at his posters on the wall of his favorite punk bands. And then strum the baseline to smells like teen spirit and just sit there and sing to himself and think about life and the existential possibilities of death. He has described himself as stock in and out of a funk. His compared the present reckoning to moments of rootlessness in the city when he last found himself out of work. I just did never wanna feel like that or be in that place or that position again. So that lately has felt kind of strange maybe with some echoes. And that's when he started. That's when he started singing, smells, like teen spirit. Hell hell. That's what he's been doing around, Texas. He actually is it real weird. He's just going up to individuals on the on the street, and he just pose a guitar knotty. His case he just pulls it right out of his pocket. Like, Mary Poppins. And there's the base, dude. I just need especially if you could help me like change the stories like, no, let's talk about life and whether I should run for president for president. That's that's what I want to talk about man. This guy one of the front runners. So that I love it. He says, I'm not great so low I need people. He's he's great. He's like any other minded student dropbox t-shirt hair pass shoulders and a grim insistence that the smashing pumpkins had grown pretentious. I told you the douchebag man by college frenzy, Mr Rocard settled on the outlines of an identity that would last a rebel in moderation more puckish than unruly.
