"It's endless fact check ding. You're not getting paid a lot. We have gone through it on the producer side and those experiences especially when you're young in the media business aren't always the most like affirming ones. I think that there's a lot of questioning and what you're doing and you really have to love it when i look at you. I'm like you are someone that knows your value. How did you start to develop that sense of self worth or you have to love it but you also have to believe that you can do it. You know even when it doesn't go according to plan. And i've had plenty of times where i've made mistakes on the air but i ultimately believe that i could learn how to do this. I did believe that. Where does that come from to me. It just comes from doing and redoing and never letting anybody say no you. Can't it no one ever told me by the way that you can't do this. You know. I had a really good lesson when i was in my early twenties and i had applied for a reporter training program and it was at the station where i used to work so i knew all the people they knew me. I had a good report relationship with everybody in there. Were only two slots. And i was one of the finalists but when it came down to it. They didn't hire me. And i have to tell you i was shocked. I was so stunned because number. One i thought. I got inside track because i know all these people they know the my work skills they know my work ethic blah blah blah blah blah. So when i didn't get it. I was shocked and dare i say hurt so i went into the news director. He sitting at his office with his feet up on the desk. And i walk in. And i said hi mr snyder and he goes. Yeah which is a very welcoming i said..

"60 wjr. Well, listen to this five years ago today this day five years ago Governor Rick Snyder, in his state of the state address, again pledged to fix the crisis over Flint's lead contaminated water. Today. Actually, yesterday, The Wall Street Journal. Pointed out. Nine people, including former Michigan governor Rick Snyder, were criminally charged last week in connection with the years long crisis in Flint's drinking water. The public indictments are terse with little evidence, so it's difficult not to wonder if the case against Mr Snyder especially, is politicizing the tragedy. Let me help you with that. Wall Street Journal. It obviously is politicizing. The tragedy, but that's not the first time nor will it be the last time. That the people of Flint have paid A very sad price because of that situation that decision first made by their city Council. And then somehow or another lead to flow without treating it. By the Water Department, which had switched over to the Flint River. Before. For different occasions and apparently Had done the right thing with the right chemicals. Anyway, It is nothing but political persecution at this point, and it didn't really make the people of Flint very happy to hear that. With all that was made of all of this, and we were talking misdemeanors with the possibility of a fine up to $1000. That's Those that were looking for blood didn't get it. So all a very bizarre thing again. It's all a part of the cancer culture right now. The cancel culture and the Sad need for some reason or another to keep looking backwards instead of looking forwards and fixing things and making sure that they are fixed and finished in Flint, which should be done. And that it never happens again anywhere because, of course, as we've learned, it's happened everywhere. Not just Flint. Where there were some water issues. I hope and pray, Marie, as I'm sure you do that we have Ah, safe handing off of the mantle in the Inauguration and the ceremonies tomorrow. Let's show the world how it's done, and we should be able to do that. We should absolutely be able to do that. And that's why I always done in the past. Yeah, I hope so. I know that the news media loves to keep saying that, as of tomorrow they'll be 26,000 federal troops in Washington. That's more that's in Afghanistan, and they name all the places and Adam up and all of that that does not really help. Our standing or are good feelings in this society or the societies that watch us many who would like to see us fail from around the world, But it's what the news media does. Now That's what they're doing. So let's show them as you say that we do know how to do this, and we will do it and move on from there. I understand. The president has created a goodbye kind of ceremony or pomp and circumstance, leaving the White House that does that happen tomorrow. Also, like in in the morning or how's that work? It's my understanding that that will happen in the morning. I can get you more info on that. But it's my understanding that that will happen in the morning because the key here Is to not have a moment without a president of the United States, as I understand it well, isn't that though officially then at the noon hour when the actual oath of office has taken I would think so. I mean, that's just gonna be official. Whether someone's walking down a red carpet to their helicopter flying away and you know, right, that's the official time is when that happens. Let's look at some more positive news. It's sometimes difficult with relentless, positive radio. But that is our mantel. That's what we aim to do. And When you look at covert. Even with all the mistakes, the government is made certainly a statewide basis and earlier on a federal wide basis Uh, there are a lot of people who have stepped up first off, just like in the past is the arsenal of democracy are automakers stepped up, our auto suppliers stepped up to help. "Technology decisions aren't black and white. Think red 7 15. Here's Dave Johnson. You know, this time, it will be different against the Giants. Of course, the Washington football team is looking for a win. They should have one last time. But anyway, Sundays gave a FedEx field will be different because there will be some fans in the stands. Head coach Ron Rivera. I do look forward to some roughly 3000 fans. You know that one of the things that Mr Snyder and Jason really want to be very aware of is really the safety of our fans and making sure everybody six to the protocols. It really kind of cool the slowly integrate fans back into the game because we truly do miss the bully Me. I would have loved to have had a full house last week against Dallas that would have been energized. And speaking of energizing second year why we see returning McLaurin comes to mind would land in college on injured reserve players asked for McLaren to be named one of the team captains when I was drafted, I know that I had leadership qualities and and capability that teams coveted. I didn't come in here day one thinking. Hey, I'm about to be a captain Hammer. Prove this and then I just want to be a guy that came in and worked hard. Didn't say a whole lot in practice really hard, showed up on time and it was asked Woman was productive on Sunday, and McLaren has done all those things play the Giants on Sunday. Now This guy is going to make it better. Always does. He is a Super Bowl champion. He's a four time pro Bowler a 16 year NFL vet, a member of the Washington football Team Ring of Fame. He was undrafted at a John Carroll University. He's an analyst for Tops on CBS Sports Network. He's an analyst for the Washington football teams Post game show. He is in London. Fletcher, London. Good to have you on before we get into everything before is to ask you. How are you doing? And how is everybody around you doing during this pandemic? London? Hey, Jim, we're doing Ah, we're doing great, man. Just, you know, adjusting to What? What society, you know has right now. I think it's difficult times for everybody. But you know, we're making the most of the situation. Our kids are Are back in school somewhat. You know, my older tutor or doing a hybrid situation have virtual happen School and then my youngest, she goes every day. So it's ah, some adjustments. I know that life. London. I know the hybrid situation. We've got a couple in school as well. So I understand that really Well, listen, What was that, like? Get the season started again on tops on Sunday. How did that go? I went phenomenal. We added a car along to the to the crew this this year and I thought, Man it was, you know, the best show ever. You know, we had. Ah, great chemistry. Just phenomenal show. Deb Gillman, our producer. She put together a really, you know, phenomenal run down, and you just was just, you know, out of shot. He's the best is the maestro. He controls everything. Um, we got to talk about football. We talked about the Social injustice that has taken place. We talked about the protest. I mean, we talked about everything, but it was. It was a great first show. It's a great show. It's great show of the great crew. London Fletcher is joining us to ask you about Kyle along. He's a tremendous guy. You and he were talking on tops. And he was talking about how special Patrick Mahomes DeShaun Watson are, which is true. And then you hit him with and the Bears pick, too. Maybe later when Watson in the homes are picked behind him. Exactly. How does Mitchell Robiskie ever get over that? He is the only way he gets over. This is the place like he played in. Ah, you know the fourth quarter against Detroit. If he does that, you know, maybe another. 15 times in his career is being a bear's long time a quarterback and he has to win the Super Bowl. But you know it's going to be judged by by those guys. Jo's against those guys because They were drafted after him, So that's that's kind of the way the way it is. Yeah, I didn't see that happening. I mean credit to him for coming back on Detroit the way he did, but he's got to do that a whole lot of times before anybody forget that those guys were taken after him. London Fletcher is my guest. London is I mentioned at the top. You are the postgame analyst for Washington this year. There has been a ton of change in the organization over the offseason as a former member of that team. What was it like for you? To watch all of that unfold. You know? I will When I play for the bargaining and go, you know, for the Rays can't I mean I I wanted to represent the franchise of former players. Um, Mr Sided owner, my teammates. I just always want to represent that. That organization to the best of my ability. I took pride and coming on plan for the For the fans each and every Sunday when when the changes took place, starting with the name. Um you know, I thought it was. Ah, thought it was necessary. No. Here I am. Is an African American man wanting Ah! Social equality for for us as a people of color. And then if the native Americans data views they don't view to the risk. His name is. Ah, you know, honor them Then you know who are my Tio? You know, wantto hold onto something that dated like was on or so. I applaud Mr Snyder and his wife, Tanya, for for, you know, making the change and making a lot of changes. I thought the the hiring of Jason right at the new team president. I think that's a phenomenal move. And even if you go back and look, think about it before the name, change and iron of Ah, Robert Baer is the head coach. That was Ah, home run hit so A lot of changes have taken place. I think the organization in the franchise in a you know, headed in the right direction. I'm really excited for the future. You know what? What The Washington football team has In the future. London Fletcher is joining us here in the jungle London When you look back on your time, they're like culture and leadership are words that get thrown around all the time. But you're a guy who made an impact in every locker room. You ever stepped in this example your teammate Washington. Santana Moss has said that he changed how he approached the game because he watched you what was your approach to the game? And how Where were you the guys on offense? We're noticing and modeling themselves after you. You know, I was not aware of it. I think you know it was one of those things where I just I really took took a great deal of pride. And and just, um, my approach to the game, so I just went about You know my business on a day in day out basis, just trying trying to be the best player that I could be not just for myself, but for my teammates in the franchise did I represented, you know Santana for him to say that? You know, I appreciate it. That and and that's just I think is one thing of your leader. To kind of talk to talk, but you have to walk the walk and guys respect. You for what? You do more so than what you say. Talking London, Fletcher letting you mentioned Ron Rivera. Last month, he announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer..

"Zero mistakes There never are. At least not committed. By May. Mr certainly informs me that he has had sex many times with witches, but not in his dreams. He's handsome, but our whole budget witches, and it had been any doubt about it. And he doesn't think that Dr Emanuel is in any way weird to point this out because it happens to everybody now and then. Backs nerd. We sent me. I defy any guy to tell me that he's not had sex with a witch at least once in his life. Course It depends on how you define which Let me get Mr Snyder, please. Point here is Gerard in Atlanta. Great to have a Gerard Glad you waited. Welcome to the network. I thankyou. Rocks. It's great to hear your voice. Thank you, sir. I have a question for you. Are you starting to get a frustrated as I am that the public and leaders on the right still don't understand. Who would. The far left is and what they're dealing with. Gerard. I've been this way for 25 years. Gerard. Maybe longer. Yes, exactly. I have I don't understand. Why so many people on our side of the aisle do not understand or see the genuine danger and radical nature of the people who are political opponents. I It's been a frustrating thing to me for. I can't tell you how many years And we're not really The reason I bring it up brushes If I see one more story where he may be, ah, preacher or a minister who is shocked or appalled that Oh, my God, they're allowing Protest, but they're not gonna allow us to have church services. I just want to say, Well, that's what the left is. There is no religion on the left. And so why is this so shocking to the people and just kind of scare me? But it just You scratched my head that they're not in tune with. What do these people really Well, you know, the clergy a za group the left wass. Very smart. Years ago in co opting a significant number of priests. By equating Welfare with charity. When they successfully built that bridge that government welfare like a F. D. C is the equivalent of charity. Then they converted these corgi men. And women too big time supporters of government And from there, it was a very short trip to them becoming Leftists and liberals, and it was all rooted in the idea that they were being big hearted. And charitable and they were helping the downtrodden and the thirsty and hungry and so forth. And they thought they were scoring points with people this way. All the while you're exactly right on the left. There is no religion permitted. No religion has allowed except there's which is the climate or some other wacko aspect of their agenda. And their their their purpose is to wipe out Religion that that the state Is going to be the replacement for God for Christ or what have you and it's frustrating as all get out, but it's not just limited to religious people for me. I have to repeat stories. I've told a bunch of times, but it is amazingly frustrating to me. This is why I've said I don't know how many times over the course of my career, Gerard That I think everything is ideological. I think we wouldn't be here today. If there had been a proper education and understanding of liberalism by a majority of the American people. Now I've done my part to educate people on liberalism and a bunch of other people in conservative media have, but some haven't Look at this bunch of never Trumpers. Who haven't been able again. Anybody elected they are. They couldn't get McCain elected. They couldn't get Romney elected. There are bunch of absolute losers. Now they're trying to get a Democrat elected because they got their noses out of joint. These people are the exact kind of people you're talking about. They look at the left and they don't see a danger. They look at Trump and see the danger. They look at Trump Trump supporters and see the problem. The fact that so many people on our side do not recognize and have not recognized the threat posed. My standard ordinary everyday liberalism. And some of the people that have fallen short. Are people who have maintained that they are conservative intellectual leaders and that we need to go in there cruises and give them money and buy their magazines or subscribe because they are responsible for carrying forth the conservative message, and they won't even tell the truth about the American left. Because they don't want to make enemies of them. They want to be accepted by them. Because they think the left runs everything. I once asked a prominent conservative editor. I'm going to mention the names because I'm that's not my point could pick in there. And it was it was in the early days. This program and I'm feeling we're making progress. This is good. We're gonna have some real success here because the program was taking off and there were other show's starting in Fox News was picking up Fast. This guy So how long do you think it's gonna be before we end up becoming the majority of the ideology of Russia? I don't think that's ever going to have us What You don't think it's ever gonna happen? No, no, no, that's too much ground to cover. Not enough liberalism is always going to be there. The dominant ideology. All we can do is try to make it this. Here's somebody who's asking you to donate to his magazine or subscribe to his magazine. Whatever it Wass contribute to his think tank, admitting that he didn't think it was ever possible to overcome the left. Well. I'm sorry that that that's not Lam here. It clearly, wasn't they are people who need to be defeated. So, yeah. Long way. Answer the question. Gerard's a great question. I've been frustrated for a long time. I've told you. The story about had a dinner party walked out on one of my own dinner parties. Was a couple of people who were guests. Started trashing Sarah Palin on the basis that she was worthless because the media had destroyed her. So we need to throw her overboard. I said, you ever think about defending her? Did you ever think about the things they're saying about her are not true. They said, Doesn't matter. They've destroyed her. We need to pick somebody else. I said, Well, they're just going to destroy the next person we pick well, so we have to pick somebody. They're not going to destroy. We have to pick somebody they're not going to destroy that means picking one of them. Are these guys? They didn't They were clueless..

"You know, one of the things that I thought it was almost predictable, but unfortunately, I was just talking about this. A few minutes before you came on is The news like like yesterday strikes and in the sports world. The first response for many is to go. How is this going to affect Dan Snyder? Does this mean he's going to have to sell the team and I'm like That That's the sports answer, and that's the dance. Snyder answer. That's ignoring the actual issue that's taking place. And so what's happening is a lot of people are going. Oh, this happened in Washington. And I'm thinking that this probably happens everywhere. So seeing as you are around multiple sports when you if you go toe, you know Washington. Whatever's games on there on the road. I mean, I would imagine. I mean, is this pretty much consistently the experience many women in this industry and many industries have So I worked in Miami, Merrick City, Boston and D. C. And this has happened to me in every single market that I've worked in, Um, you know, and it's never been to a point where I have said okay, I need to go to HR and make comments. But I have had people that were fired for comments that they said to me because other people went up and you know, I spoke up for me because I was very early on in my career. It's like you don't have to tolerate that. You just don't even have to put up with it because a lot of time I think again. It is the same in this business. You build up thinking like you have to accept it. You just have to put up with it. It comes with the territory when you're in there on DH. I love the fact that now we're getting to a day when we're saying no, I don't have to put up with that to do my job. I don't have to put up with those comments. You know, however demeaning they are or, you know, you may think it's a simple anything common, but no, it's it's still if it's inappropriate, so, yeah, just look. Washington has the spotlight on them. You know, they This week started terrible for them, and they address an issue with the team name that has many people have been clearing for them to address for a very long time. So that's how the week started. Two spotlights on them. They're being called to be on the right side of these issues. They're being called to stand up and take a stand and make The right path going forward, because the decision for the path to come too slowly for a lot of people. But this is something that I wholeheartedly believe happened all across the country, and it's not just import. Um I guarantee you that, and I guarantee you this is this is not the end. There will be more women that will come up and be able to feel safe thing. You know what? I was uncomfortable. I was the same time getting those comments. I just when you feel two isolated, you don't feel you have the drink. And now I believe that they're getting their strength and they're getting their voices and action is being taken and you're seeing that result. Coming from that So, Yeah, This is a problem across the country, and I hope that it's something that a lot of corporations take a good hard look at. How do you feel about the response that the franchise has has given and the action they have taken so far? You don't know, Mr Snyder Dance cider put out a statement today and here's what I also know it was. They brought in Ah, females to come in and take a hard look of legal legal part of it and make sure that things are operating the right way. I know that they're looking at the rearranging entire structure, the people that you know these allegations were against Oregon. They're no longer in the building. Head coach Ron Rivera comes in. He brings his staff his daughter, 24 years old works on the staff and is in the building. His wife is often in the building, he said. He will have zero tolerance for this and that will not be accepted. And I think that's one of the things in the past. If it doesn't If you don't have strong leadership, then anybody feels that they could just get away with what they want, you know, and and you have to have strong leadership in your organization, and people have to know who they have to be accountable to. And I believe Rivera's bringing that. But it's not his responsibility to be the one that says, OK, you're going to take care of this on every level. I mean, he's got to run a football program that had three wins last season. He has a lot on his plate that is coming in at some of it. From what I've seen from him. He has broad shoulders. He has the steady hand. He has the authority. He is handling himself in a way that people are falling in line. So I do hope the organization and I know that they have taken the steps to make sure that this is something that doesn't continue. Because it has gone back 12 years over five head coaches, So that's what you say It's not the head coach's job. But I do believe Rivera is changing the way that we're looking at things. Julia Donaldson, NBC Sports Washington with us on on the name change, how our fans receiving all of that right now. It's a lot of the look The die hard fans hate it. A lot of them really Dio and a lot of them are having a really hard time digesting this because to them, it's memories that Super Bowls But guess what, you haven't won a Super Bowl without naming a very long time, and a lot of them are saying, Look on the other side, a lot of them saying it. It's time. You know, A lot of people gave up on the team because of the name and because they didn't feel like it was acknowledged. But here's what I do believe that I believe that anybody that were any Redskins gear and cheered for the Redskins and did the chant in H T. T. E. R. Babe, you that term as a fan as a word of pride and environment, because it was there came and they took pride in their team, but by definition and buy her something people want to fight. You could look at many different definitions, but by definition in today's society, it is used as a floor and that is unacceptable. And, you know, look, I said the name doing on the broadcast for years and I used in the same way we look at how I view it, but I had to open my eyes and I had to listen to people thing. Okay, That's how you view it. But this is how it's viewed in a different light. And you have to really listen to those. I think, though Congress have conversations and really listen to what being set on the other side, and tonight that Okay, you know what the way I the way I Translated it not necessary, how it's translated to others. Therefore, it is It's time to make a change. But people have a hard time with change. They'll eventually get behind. It's gonna be the burgundy and gold. It's still their team. They're still playing for them. Whatever the new mascot does become going forward and hopefully winning. With a new culture will just bring everybody back around. What do you think the new name is gonna be? I have no clue. I mean, look, I know fans were having so much fun with this. You know, the red wolves, the red tails the warriors and you know, Look, you got the warriors out there. You can't call it the Warriors. We don't have stuff Curry Rice, right? Got you know kicked your heads off our warriors. Julianne. I really have. I have no clue, you know, I mean, I think they want to keep the colors they want to make sure Look, it's got the tribute to the military and the Native Americans. I know a lot of them want to keep our just that curly are, you know, Honestly, I don't really care, You know, I mean, it's just going to make sure to me that you know it's it's hopefully something that I think a symbolic of Washington, D C and being our nation's capital. On DH, You know, give this this organization the franchise something to be proud of. For the next you know, 100 years that they don't have to worry about any of this again, Julianne, just for those who did not tuned in the last time you and I talk to you want to let everybody in San Francisco know how awesome Trent Williams is going to be. Boy, we That was that was pretty wild. Right? You put up that..

"Years. Then the calls got louder from activists. The nickname of Washington's NFL team was offensive and should be changed. But when the corporate world spoke, Dan Snyder listen, and today, the team announced it will retire the Redskins name and determine a new name at a future date. Earlier this afternoon, we got reaction to this historic D c sports moment from the man whose voice was most associated with the team's greatest years. Former double d. T o P. Anchor Frank Horizon's somewhat the Redskin story in one word money. Money. That's what counted when Fenix, Nike Pepsi. Target and all these other retailer said. That's it. We're not going. We're not gonna merchandise them anymore. That turned the tide. As far as Mr Snyder was concerned, I'm not surprised that he's changed going to change the name. I think. The process has probably been going on for a couple of months. He's a great marketing man. That's where he made all his money. He's got the NFL marketing people helping as well. The only thing that surprises me is He's gone ahead and picked the name. I thought they might have a contest. But other than that, not surprised at all. Now you were around here covering sports. When a Poland the then owner of the Washington Bullets, changed the name to the Washington Wizards. How these two compare Money. Mr Snyder's Mr Snyder is going to make more money than Mr Poland it because it's not 97. It's 2020 but he's going to make a fortune on merchandise. Hey, all these Redskins fans have got to go buy new jerseys and new clothes, a new hat and new banners and new details. And new coffee cups money. What's been the feeling from the people connected to the organization that you've talked to here in recent weeks? Well, I think I think it's kind of melancholy. I mean, it was a certain sadness because it has been a tradition for so long. And those years in the eighties were so magical, but the reality is it has to change. We're changing as a nation we're changing is the people and it's time to make that change. Former double d. T. O P. Anchor Frank Herzog, one time Voice of Washington's NFL team talking with me earlier this afternoon, up next on Double D T O P will talk more about the team's name change its 6 14 Your favorite.

"Stories and you the Larry O'Connor shell. Yes, it is. And we're talking to you about the Redskins or the team, formally known as the red skins as they announced today that they will be intact. Ending the legacy of that name. What that looks like exactly we don't know. What do you think? Triple 86 30 A. M A. L. David McClane. What's your response? I think dance if he does change him eventually or maybe drag his feet longer. He should shame the Nike and FedEx to the op ed piece. Seizing the fact that they have all the NFL gator built, you know, made in the sweatshops in China and take his business elsewhere, make a statement. Make a statement. Yeah. Yeah, I guess I hope you let's see. I mean, listen, Dave. He's been fighting this fight for so many years against so many odds. I mean, I I can I can sort of forgiven for throwing up his hands saying enough. I got other fights I want I want to win a Super Bowl. I don't care about this anymore. I mean, I don't think he doesn't care about this. I'll sing the song even though I'm an Eagles fan. I'll sing this song. All right, Dave. And and I support you even though you're an Eagles fan, but it is Thank you, Dave for the call for Nike to throw their twos times into this, Considering Nike utilize. It literally utilizes slave labor in China to make all of their profits for them, that they in some way have any sort of moral standing in this conversation is despicable. I don't know. I don't know what Mr Snyder should do. Dan Snyder should do in terms of an op ed. I don't know how you shame. FedEx At this point Ah, Nike. Go ahead, but make in Fredericksburg. Make your next up onto via email. Larry, I gotto. Ah, definitely sure they're going to go for the Washington Warrior named being that Dan Snyder already trademarked the Warriors with his arena football. And then he's already saying he's returning the logo. So I have a feeling he's going to go for the spear on the head. But my thing is is When are they going to change the name of the Cleveland Browns? That's a sense of the New York Giants is offensive towards dwarfism. And if I remember right, the Cowboys ran the Indians out of Texas. So that's offensive to me as well. Yeah, everyone will find something offensive, but you've got to be there. Right person that's offended by the right thing. I mean, what about the fighting Irish? I've never been in a fight in my life. Well, I'm from Orlando. So Tampa Bay Buccaneers used to be my team. And if I remember I pirates weren't exactly nice towards women, and they were robbing everybody. It's true. Absolutely thank you for that. It was a good movie, though, with that Johnny Depp guy, although he's got his own problems. Yeah, the spirit on the logo. Thank you Make they did didn't didn't The Redskins have that for a season or two, and I know that I've it predates me. But that is It's not a bad look, I guess, but it's not as classic is what we got there. How about Deb and Fredrik? Go ahead, Deb, You're next up on me. I just feel like it. If they do change it, who in their right mind is really going to call it that name? Nobody. I grew up off the D C line. My brother played for them for for a while and maybe early eighties. And I don't care what they call men. Calm, solid man. I'm gonna call him the Redskins because that's who they are. They'll always be the Redskins. And if everyone calls him that, who cares if they I mean, I understand it. It is really irritating because we'll never stop. They just never stopped it. Because because sports is a fabric one of the fabric of Ah, the American culture in the United States, and they want to destroy that. I think that's why they're going after it because it's such a, Um, uh, American thing. But I mean, listen, Thank you to have your right. Anybody who studies Marxism and the goals of cultural Marxism will recognize that that is the larger play here. Anything that was foundational to this nation must be upended in reoriented and look at the boy Scouts. That was the Boy Scouts were all about that as well. And the war on the Boy Scouts. Anything that made America and I'm not saying the Redskins were part of the American fabric, but anything that is traditional that can be relied upon as part of something that was ingrained in The traditions that made this nation great and something that was so successful and superior to any other country on this planet. And yes, believe it or not. Our professional.

It's a very difficult situation being, but it's one of Mr Snyder's on making arguably back to April John Maggie, 1948. I believe the technical analysis book that everybody reads cover to cover in that trade. Gaps. Always close gaps. Always, Phil. I'm counting a minimum of four gaps in Tesla's for since the middle of April. Yeah, exactly. Right. It's just I don't think I've ever seen that. Yeah, I mean, you know, they make a couple of cars or they they actually deliver some vehicles and 1/4 and that's enough for another 2020 30% move so It's just a fantastic story for the Bulls and the end of the short, just a brutal time. "Other, but you know that was something that we didn't do and see out of that calls us. A bunch of games have assure that I know would have been totally different in New England, you know, But I exhorted Seattle was a first class organization. I enjoyed my time because Homer was amazing Time enjoyed my time with Coach more and a little time that I had with Pete Carroll enjoyed that as well. The city was everything. Um, you know, not only just when you speaking about The coaches. You also gotta have the actual players around. So where where we select at? You know I can't stuff they were selected the coasters on a player. No, our cancer. We didn't win every game. Everybody set out to do that. But that don't happen naturally. But those certain things the attention to detail the point of that coast political stress. We can week out those of the different things that separates you from different teams and the difference between winning and losing. You know you wanted to get paid Deon Branch, and that was a major decision and why you got traded and why you You wanted to leave when you look back at that situation. Is there any regret there on not getting a deal done Or is that just how the way that it went down? No. I mean, I want having regrets. I've just always wonder how things would have saved out that we We've been able to get the deal done. You get Stan and when I When I was traded, it was It was a mutual thing. We both understood where I stood with organization was coming from They understood were amazing and myself were my agent and I will come from far. Contractual. You know, trying to get a deal done and by me, Leven. I think it's set up the reunion. It made it that much more special upon me Coming back way. We made it to the Super Bowl, but we didn't actually win another one. You know my last 34 years with the Pacers when I return It was such a great moment in time, and I think I thought everything was perfect. Uh, we both we both. I mean, I had a conversation with everybody in the front office about like, man. One of these four years would have been that we've got this thing done. You get him, saying how many Super Bowls would we have won? Well, you definitely wouldn't want another one. Deon. I want to finish. It came in 2006. You guys probably would win if you're on the field. Yeah, you know is that I would think so. I wanna leave hope that I had enough to contribute and four support that game off. In operated. It was on this. You know, both sides. It was very cordial and respectful. You know, That's why straight return. It wasn't a big deal. It wasn't a big case you it wasn't hard. It was just trying to figure out the nuances. But as far as getting a deal done, that was the easiest part me wanting to come back the organisation wanting me to come back. All of that was intact. Did you ever have a conversation with Bella? Check about what happened in the past. What? When you brought back or was, it was Hey, we need you on the field. We just got to get the business. Ah, you become a back you saying what? I was trained when you were traded back to New England? Someone I was ready. But, yeah, I mean, that was the that was very It was just all about, Can you? No. Can they come too size as faras? What They're going to give up for me and what Seattle was willing to accept. You get tan? Ah, faras having the conversation at once It was done. It was unusable. You know, you know, Coach Carroll called me in. And you know, Mr Snyder, you know, that was a very respectful conversation. We had a great conversation and you know, and the trade was done. You know, and I respect those guys did upmost Before we let you run. Deon Branch Cam Newton go into New England. Now. What do you expect that I can think anything you know, I said this earlier last week up I'm just excited to see what Josh McDaniels can come up with this type of athlete, you know, he's he's been having, Tom argues, not argument, the greatest quarterback to play the game. That's the easy part. But the pages has never had a dual threat Quarterback such Cam Newton Had to him. So I'm excited to see like man. Josh is a brilliant officer Courtney. This is going to be excited to see what these guys can create and what they can come up with. And you can We make this work in New England. And just to see what it looks like. I'm excited for my no camera, excited for the another opportunity. You know things that paying out the wayward in Carolina. I'm sure he's leaving a legacy there and going off to start another woman and we'll see what it looks like. I'm sort of the city The state of Massachusetts. Everybody's extra excited just to see what this looks like, and the person as a fan. I can't wait to see it, man. I'm curious to see what Julia gentleman's going to do without Tom Brady. What type of years Jules gonna have All right. You know what you thought was I think about is the work that those two guys put in. I mean, these are veteran players, cameras, diversion quarterback experience, Um and and Alice back up because I don't want to jump the gun and then just say that camera's instance started Just know that Brian Hart, who's got who's very for me with offense, and then Dad who's Who's done amazing job, and so many of the veteran players out have about form, so there's gonna be a great competition. Let's just put that on the table first. So whoever the quarterback I'm sure that Julian and all the other receivers were going to put in a lot of work with these guys. So what is going to look like man? I don't even know that I wish I could tell you, but I mean person, knowing that these guys going to invest a lot of time. I'm sure they're doing it now as well with each other just to see what this is gonna look like in AA. Is their job to kind of help. Take a lot of load. If Cam is the guy who selected to start is up upon these guys to take the load off. You know, you can only do so much being this is his first year in this office. On ly. There's only so much You won't be able to get.

I don't know. I I think that's a tremendous name. I give you one more that you're not gonna like good. The senator's Bring That knows. No pick students is the one to meet. Actually, that's a gimme. No, baby, I grew I completely agree with you, You know, And you could. I don't know You could put a little if you want to put a hog on to help it. I mean, I know you're right that what's wrong with that? It's a very good name. I remember that. Craig used to say when he worked here, and I got a tweet from bro's around globe that tweeted that ideas Well, and I've seen other people mention it. So it's out of bed picks kids picks gives works on every level is far as Officer. So, Daniel. Mr Snyder, if you're listening We here at the fan. We are endorsing publicly, pigskins. Let's go. Yeah, I like that. That's a good one. We will talk to the general manager of the Brooklyn Nets marks the red. It's been a while there's a lot of how soon would he hang up on is if I said, so. How is it working for Durant? I think he probably laughing. You think you would laugh about that? At first he would chuckle. You. That's my dad Hang up. Eventually he will hang up. There's a lot of it just depends how long he thanks himto, Right? Is it five minutes of 30 But there's a lot to discuss because we haven't talked to him since they made the coaching change, which came out of a complete shock and surprise. And now there's even a report. Adrian was in. Urowsky thinks that Jack Jones going to get the job, you think, Jack, maybe able to hold on to really Yeah, Uh, so we'll pick Shaun's brain about that amongst other things, and we should be joined by the manager of the New York Yankees Aaron Boone in the five o'clock hours, So there's certainly Ah lot to dio guy. Brandon talkto. You got, of course, right now because you got about four guys now living on deployed. I know the shampoo was one he's done for the day job. He finishes seven under par three off today, So I guess he shot a 69 today, so he is four shots off the lead going into the third around Correct and the other guy that I'm watching very closely is Victor have land who had a very solid day today, too. He's eight under par. So he went five under for the day. He's only three strokes only shots back, so it's very, very good spot going into the weekend. Yeah. Oh, absolutely very tied at the top. I think there were four guys or five guys. You know what that line is? What is the cult line like, two over something like that? I read the projected cut line is two under. So I mean, you want that's what I meant to other sounds right to other sounds right? Right now, and by the way, should point out early is working from home and we were joined by the great Paul Rosenberg was with us all roses with Rosie's with Oh, my God. And Rosie the Rose. It's okay. Gia. You know I love you, man. I didn't know what I know. I only only working very well. But you know what? Rosie supplies, no offense, turning cause we love Ernie. Rosie all over the golf too. So he is. I know. You mean us that our hotline is for under all went down to four O's. Yet for a lot of low scores today. Yeah, obviously. So can I ask another dumb golf question? Why does it seem since I've started watching over the last three weeks and watching all of this? Why is everybody playing so much better in terms of the cut line and what the final score is? We saw back on tournaments ago minus 21 minus 20 to win. I think two things, I think number one. I think the conditions in the courses have been very, very favorable. And I think they're making the course a little easier for these guys to get the scores lower. You know what I mean? I think that I I think the PGA knowing that pretty much the only game in town right now, Okay, So you know, you're like the only outside of NASCAR, You know, M m Maybe they're really the only sport that's playing, you know, wrestling. At this point, I think they want to have people think this is a good time for us to really get people watching all game that would not necessarily watching. I mean, they're you know, you're the perfect example. Right. So with that said, we don't want guys stumbling around, you know, shooting, you know, over Pa Ra one on the part of win a tournament. We don't want these guys struggling. We want these guys to play well, so I think it's a combination of the conditions. You know, the weather conditions which have been pretty, you know, good in these tournaments and the fact that they're making the course probably a little more playable than maybe they normally would. That kind of keep the scores you know really low and keep people. Maura, you know. Ah, paying more attention to it, You know, a little more excited about Watching guys give parties that guys get bogeys. You know what I mean? One other guy I should point out. Obviously, cause people care not for my own selfish reasons. This Terl Hatton is also having a 11 didn't finish 11. Other than you know, He's right now he's still going. He's on the fourth hole any seven under Seven only right now, and he's He's only on four. That's right. So he has a chance to make a big move tonight. Yeah, I'm like this golfing and told you like it, Miss. I understand we'll come back. We'll get your phone calls. You mentioned Sean marks coming up. A three aren boon later on. We'll talk some baseball the updates from Metz and Yankee camp, which is absolutely happening here in New York Yankee Stadium in Citi Field, but in going Roberts here in the afternoon on the third of July Hey, Boomer. Twenty five years old is, when you're prefrontal cortex finishes developing. So I have no chance of further development. No. No. Well, yeah. And that part of your brain, what about growth, can I grow your to itary? No, you're done really. Yeah. You're prefrontal cortex is what's your what you, it's your decision making part of the brain. Oh, oh, I'm definitive in decision making. But my, my mom keeps telling me, I'll grow well, maybe someday, thank you. So we have a snarf talk. I do you know what it is? I know I don't know what the first is. It's light out. Oh, yes, it light outside for the first time. I don't know. I feel that's it's technically the second time that we've recorded in daylight Karbi. Did it one time? We did at one time on a Saturday. But I know we recorded here, Saturday while in any case, why Mr. Snyder we recording so early. Well, well, it's not early. By the way, there's like one shredder. Right. It's not that, but the sun is going down and basically down can barely see it. But there is light left. We are recording early because we have an old man here. Yeah. It's eight twelve. It was in two thousand eighteen your first appearance of two thousand nineteen. Congratulations. Thank you for coming. I I feel feel so honored. honored. Thank you. All right. What are we starting out with now? The news. Yes. All right. You got some news for me journal, let me let me look it up. I actually don't think I do really, I don't think I've researched enough while I will. I will start out. We got some new trailers going on. Yes. Which ones? The first one I saw was a new trailer for bat girl that woman that woman that woman, it's called bad woman. Trailers fan. Yeah. Horrible batman. Well, it's bad girl. And no, it's not difference. Well, in any case, we got a bad woman, because they would never make show called bat girl, right? Oh, no. You can't ever say, even though they got supergirl. That's true. It's not superwoman. No wonder woman. So have you seen the trailer? Yes, I have seen the trailer thoughts. Where do I start major probably you will line? I see what you're doing here. You're setting me up. No talk about talk about this so that you say, sexist years sixes, it's not so much that sexist. There's one point in there in the trailer, if you haven't seen it logic because for she goes, I'm not gonna go. I'm not going to. A man get away with credit, that woman did the job or let me look up literally stealing Batman cigs, act, always, and Quinton, suit and car identity. I'm not about I'm not about to let a man take credit for a woman's work. Yeah. She said after she broke into batmans cave into his suit, his equipment, his car's his so during you onto who bet woman is for people who don't know. I mean I don't really I don't really think it's necessary at this point, just because I'm so aggravated with what the trailer is so like Christmas saying, and some text messages, we had earlier, it's, it's literally just pandering. It's pandering to the like the way society is right now at the moment of backup music as I'm a woman it's, it's just overboard on, she's a woman. She's a lesbian all of those things are fine. That is absolutely fine. It just that in this one trailer, they've crammed, maybe the show isn't like this, but in the trailer, they've crammed so much stuff saying about how she's going to be better at this. Like she's a woman, she also guy says the bat the bat suits little perfection. I can't change it. And she says it will be when it. Fits a woman. Yeah. I mean. Log, so hokey all of this is fine like it is fine to have a woman Centric show. Like I think it will do really well, but like you said in multiple episodes about stories that involve women if the if the writing is good. The story is good. Then you don't even need doesn't even need to be said that it is all women, or, or that a woman is the hero here, like it doesn't need to be said, because the story itself is good enough to support all of that, which in your going to enjoy it, the comic is good. I mean, I'm back on the two thousand six when it came out, it was pretty revolutionary. I mean it's a lesbian, she's. Yeah. Is that the comic to yes, from two thousand six? Yeah. She is. Bruce, Wayne's first cousin. Okay. I don't know anything about the character. Oh, I know that there wasn't just beedon writing that for a while. Supposed to be no one. Writing a movie. Yeah. That's right. That'll be may be still is. But I think it gets scrapped. Yeah. I mean, the CW Canada's whatever they want, right? Greg, Greg Berlanti. Does whatever why are they doing St. w shows now and just not doing onto? I don't understand. That's a good question. I don't know their rights. This was Warner Brothers hates their fans. I mean that's on there. This has been in this has been in production for a really long time. They'll so I think character appeared in one of the other shows, it was the spin off of the aero flash, crazy world or something else world's else worlds. And they did a aero flash crossover called else worlds. In it, aren't they doing birds of prey to? That is being developed as a movie in the fall movie. That's right. I know we've talked about it before, but I couldn't remember, if it was a movie or a TV show because isn't Margot Robbie? And yes, she is your anyway. I mean, I'm all on board. I think it's a cool like outfit and the production looks direction. Quality looks good. It looks super hokey the, the dialogue was cheesy, and like some of those shots were really cheesy. And she looks joyless. Oh, absolutely one hundred percent. Yeah. She's like a miserable human being apparently and I don't know again maybe point of her being there. She kicked out of the military for being a lesbian. She can't be who she wants to be right. So I she takes on the persona bet woman, and maybe the show won't be bad. I'm gonna out probably check out quite a few episodes of it just to give it a chance. But if even if the first episode is so like forward on the lesbian. I'm I'm a strong woman and lesbian and nobody gets me. And I'm going to be better than everyone else because of this. Like if that's if that's all this is going to be about give me a break. I mean because comic books have been doing this with women for such a long time. Not not putting the, the woman, Specht forward, just like writing good characters and making them the star of the show. They've been doing it for such a long time. I don't understand. Why TV is taking so long to do it, and why they tried to change it to be like a pandering show like like you were saying, make some of those lines and I could totally be just the trailer because, like, hey, we want to go out and grab the attention of this audience. And that in that's totally reasonable. So that's why I'll give it a shot. I think it's cool to do like there isn't a lot of representation for gay characters so that's awesome. And I don't think that was like, in your face or anything like that. It was more just the background music of. I'm a woman and then those two lines that she said about. That suit and all the bad suit, I was pretty healthy. So I mean it could be cool. But I just wish they would I hope maybe they will make the show have it be what it is. And don't have to throw that store space because that is what's in powering. Yeah. To see female to see gay character. That, that doesn't the isn't the only thing that defines them it just happens to be something that they are. That's the word that the way they are. And don't make it all about that being what defines them, although we don't probably have the best perspective to become enting on it. I don't know. I'm none of those things. But I don't know. We'll see. It doesn't necessarily just because we don't have the best perspective on to talk about that doesn't mean that we can't talk about, like how in your face it is in the trailer. You know what I mean like the trailer is very forward on that stuff. And I think anybody would see that from watching. I mean if you've read, I've read the comments on the those trailer the that trailer and it's one hundred percent that. How negative let's talk more about how she's a woman, let's talk more about how you don't she's mad. Let's she doesn't. The big party is like I understand the comic book is that way. But in a TV show, it's really hard to watch somebody, that's just miserable and doesn't like it's kind of that way, you know, to the comic, the captain marvel comic, the popular one two thousand twelve on. Yeah the new run. She was very unlikeable character. And I think they tried to translate that in the movie, and I just don't think it worked for me personally, but. No, it didn't work. I like I like marble do like the movie. It's one of the lesser marvel might talk about it later if you like do our top ten list. He just wrecked it. We've just said, maybe it's gonna be in the description. Yes. Well, yeah. That's true. It will be in the description, so we're going to do later is a top ten worst comic book movies. Yeah. That we have picked as a as a trifecta here. I got some more news. Yeah. Go for there was a new another swamp thing trailer. Yeah. I didn't watch it. You told me to watch it. When did it come out? Didn't you put it in that kind of Senate to you, too. I thought you meant like another one since then I think that was a different one..

"mr snyder" Discussed on The Accountability Call

"Sixty six get you five thousand one fifty a day. We'll get issue forty five hundred. What is Dick? I'm sticking with five thousand because of the extreme outside of our comfort zone that enables us to you. Do I think we will grow more from the harder to achieve goals. So I'M GONNA say five thousand I like it and here's what I'm GonNa do. I'M GONNA do one sixty fifty six right. I'm GONNA do sixty six in the morning like right when I get going I if I get those sixty six out of the way that I know. I've got a hundred mortar. Do throughout the day and I got the rest of the day to get one hundred which is really kind of easier for me to do twenty time five times or maybe just ten quick ones here and then start the microwave. Get my soup out. Do another ten. You know whatever that's how I was doing it to myself became a game in December. It really did head. And the travel was tough and switching to a new place in Denver just for a few nights. There wasn't a real great place as space to do. It was cold. I couldn't do it outside. Sometimes that would be outside pulling a couple of weeds grabbing mail and I just drop a few burke's in the front yard was cold in December. I wasn't outside did it. Has This funky. It's the elements elements there's challenges there's traveling on a day and it's like flying in airports and trying to do Burke's in an airport and stuff it was wacky. That was able to do it and everyone was laughing at me. 'cause they could hear me making noise on the floor upstairs in the spare bedroom in Colorado pounding the floors. I'm doing my verbis naked. Hear me me at the House here. Oh Yeah we can hear you verbalize what you could hear me. Because I'm like you know two hundred and twenty pounds slamming into the ground but it does it does push you out of your comfort comfort zone and I like the challenge of it. Mix It in with my other fitness and maybe riding a little bit you know. Just try not to be a A slug at sixty. Guess I WANNA make sure I'm still. I'm put myself in a position to keep the pounds off. I think the pounds is what. What really hurts you taxes your heart everything if you carry a lot of extra weight at times? It's tough it's tough on the joints and I don't like the feeling you know. I know you haven't had to deal with that too often. But you definitely know some people that have and yeah. They don't feel as good when they're carrying the weight. So it's it's one of those things to kind of keep you on track and maybe if you could just lose one pound a month after twelve months you're down twelve pounds. That's helpful you. You know what if you can make two pounds a month. Then you're down twenty four pounds at the end of the year and think about where you'd be you'd feel a lot better so doesn't seem like Kalat but it's you know over time it really is. Yeah I mean every little bit helps right that one step forward every day and finding that balance of a realistic listed goal but also also challenging and. I think that we sell ourselves short sometimes and thinking in limiting beliefs versus limitless beliefs and five thousand. Burke's is a you know it's stupid little thing that we're doing but there are people that have goals that are more important to their long-term Physical mental spiritual wellbeing that That yeah I mean and if you if you go into something saying you I'm GonNA I'M GONNA lose two pounds a month every month for the rest of you know twenty nineteen then that begs the question like all right. Why can't I lose five pounds a month for the rest of the months in two thousand nineteen right so what what is it that really really truly does push us outside of our comfort zone not to the point of you know everything else has to take a back seat but I think sometimes we can be a little little bit too easy on ourselves and Nike Yourselves Enough Credit for human the human nature our ability to accomplish things if we really set our minds to it which sounds so cliche but there really is a lot of truth to it right. Yeah there is has to hurt a little bit too has to push she out of the norm. It's gotTa hurt a little bit. It has to be. Here's just a little silly thing. I'm not gonNA eat after seven PM. I'm not having any food after seven PM at all. All that's it and so that hurts a little bit you may you're out socially and you're like everyone's getting somebody or you're like I kind of feel like someone just bake some cookies I could have. I said to myself. I'm not eaten after seven pm for this month and maybe the next six months and so you have to hold true instead like you said people pardon themselves selves and they Kinda. That's okay. I'll get back on track. Well that's where the slippage hits right and you cannot allow it to happen. It's sort of like a smoker. Who wants to quit smoking and I can have one? I can have a couple of six tonight. You know. It's a special occasion now. You can't the whole deal was you can't so don't and hold yourself self accountable. Easier said than done. But that's where it hurts so make it hurt a little bit and then when it's hurting know that hey this is what I chose to do and and and this is why I'm doing it and you know you'll see the results if you stick to it if you don't stick to it. There's you have so many reasons why it didn't happen. But if you do used to it. The results will follow and the sense of accomplishment. That great feeling that you're going to have if you see that goal to fruition to the end and is going to be far greater than the feeling of Mantis. Cookie was delicious that I had at seven thirty PM. I mean think about it in those terms like that's going to be a great feeling much greater so much greater than that momentary feeling of sugar rush delicious chocolate chips whatever. Whatever it might be that you're talking about? Are I got an idea if you need to have cookie because it smells so good and it would just be fantastic. A moment on the lips forever on the hips. Drop down after that cookie. And do one hundred therapies appease maybe fifty therapies and burn cookie. Right back off if you like. I used only have dessert Chris. If I worked out that day I could have dessert if I earned it and really all I felt was I just gave back my workout but I earned that desert that social setting. We're having birthday cake. Whatever because I worked out out that and it's not a bad little game I played for a while? I've been able to keep some of the weight off but I do think I think it's harder as it goes and you pardon yourself a little bit I just have one cookie and then you have another thing like oh I'll work out tomorrow. Well you gave it back tomorrow's tomorrow. Oh you know so maybe two workouts or maybe one and a half to earn some of that back so just hold yourself more accountable if you WANNA keep yourself in good shape and it gets tougher and tougher as we get older and you don't feel like it sometimes. There's a catch twenty two. They're like where people don't WanNa work out because it doesn't feel good they're not motivated but if they don't do it they won't lose the weight but they can't lose away because they don't feel motivated so you gotta get started and get to that almost runner's high where you miss your workout and you know that feeling when you feel like you get my workout in now. You're you're in that realm while you're you're clicking and get to that because you know you love that feeling it's just getting there can be tough when you stopped or started or added weight or had an injury any of that stuff. It's a cycle and the cycle works both ways that once you start something and you get the feeling of how it makes you know you see whether you see results or whether you just feel results that feeling ruling of progress propels you to want to continue to do it and simultaneously the other. The other side is true as well and that if view have that feeling of I didn't do anything. And then he add on top of that like a big meal or whatever. You just have zero motivation to want to do you anything to break out of that cycle and so yeah it's a IT'S A. It's a matter of kind of getting into the positive cycles. And getting those feelings means that will motivate you to continue to have those feelings instead of leading yourself get to the the opposite cycle. which is like you know? This laziness is going to force me to want to watch this show on Netflix. Which is going to force me to want to have these cookies over here and I'll start over tomorrow so it goes both ways it really does? That's our good friends. Mr Snyder said he was eating a bowl of ice cream. You know laughing at the biggest loser people Loyd he's like I'm watching the TV eight nine scream laughing at these people you know like event you lose weight as I. I'm on the couch eating ice cream here. I thought you cut yourself so true so true where he eats armchair quarterback right. It's easier said than done but every little bit helps helps make the effort. Go for the walk you know. Take the long walk Park Way Far Away from the store get less door dings and you can walk and walk and walk walk. You know it's to me. It's those are the kind of things that all add up and I don't know I like to be an outside sometimes to get caught up inside so much like I just need to get outside outside and do something because I want a different. I want my mind to see something different. And it's get some different area so keep keep yourself moving a Some of our friends who I've noticed have been doing a lot more hiking of late posting on social media and I really love seeing that because I know they're outside and they're getting something out of it you know they're getting a high going up the mountain and then I'm like there. You go go hike. That's good so whatever. Whatever works for you repeat? Yeah and also I mean you made had a good point there where you're talking about setting goals that push us out of our comfort zone and hurting a little bit. Going outside. Doesn't necessarily hurt. But you had to put a little bit of effort into it right like if I I live in my neighborhood and it's not a great sidewalk system so I have to go a little bit further away to get a safe flock..
