Hamas Releases Some Hostages, But No Americans
"Well protesters shouting free Palestine as Joe Biden walks through Nantucket Massachusetts after saying he doesn't have any clue when the American hostages may be coming home Biden also saying this about Hamas earlier as he got irritated in Nantucket at his press conference listen since trip to my Israel last month I've been focused on accelerating the delivery of humanitarian assistance to Gaza in coordination with the United Nations and the Red Cross I just spoke with my special envoy for the Middle East humanitarian issues David Satterfield for an update and I've asked him to monitor our progress hour by hour and keep me personally informed from the beginning we put in place mechanisms to prevent Hamas from diverting these supplies and we're continuing that effort to make sure aid gets to the people who need it more than 200 trucks arrived at the crossing point in Egypt into Gaza today these trucks carry food and medicine as well as fuel and cooking gas the fuel will be used not only to power the trucks delivering this life -saving supplies but for desalinization for water wells for hospitals and for bakeries and hundreds more trucks are getting in position as well ready to enter Gaza over the coming days to support the innocent Palestinians who are suffering greatly because of this war that Hamas has unleashed. Hamas doesn't give a damn about them doesn't give a damn about Let's get to your phone calls and see what you think about this the number 1877 38 11 1 8 7 7 3 8 1 38 11 get some of your reaction to the president's word words they're saying quote Hamas doesn't give a damn about the Palestinian people I agree on with him that he also said over the next few days we expect dozens of hostages will be returned to their families now that also is good news the problem is we don't know anything about Americans at this point that is very frustrating Biden also saying this a when asked question listen mr. president you said you were hoping to get cooperation from Eric leaders what are you hearing from them when

The Eric Metaxas Show
A highlight from Mike Signorelli
"Trump calls Florida heartbeat bill a terrible mistake, and Mike Pence talks war with Russia. So I think if you will allow me to speak critically of Donald Trump for five minutes, I will speak critically. No, no, no, no. Look, you know, and I know, everybody listens who to this program knows that I don't think Trump is perfect. I think he ought to be the next president. And I think that, as you know about me and about many people listening to this program, that we are radically pro -life. We think it's a moral issue. And I think that Trump has made, I think he misspoke. I think it was, I don't know. Well, talk about it so people understand what we're talking about. Donald Trump went on face the nation and said that the heartbeat bill Ron DeSantis bravely signed in Florida was a terrible thing, a terrible mistake. And he said that he wouldn't commit to supporting any kind of federal restriction on the taking of unborn life. And he said with characteristic real estate bravado, well, I'm going to have policies that are going to make everybody happy. Everybody's going to walk away happy from the table. That is not how things work. When you're talking about life and death issues, Mr. President, that is how things might work. If you're negotiating over ownership of a golf course. All right. All right. Each of you is going to get nine holes. Okay. You'll each get nine holes. It's wonderful. You got, you've got half a golf course, half a loaf is better than none. But we remember from the story of Solomon, half a baby is not better than none. In this case, we're talking about cutting the baby in half. Literally we're talking about should abortion, should the pro -life position be, we want a bad abortion after maybe 15 weeks, which would only get rid of maybe 8 % of the abortions in America. If that's the pro -life position, it's not worth a damn thing. That's the law in Germany. That's the law in France. That's the law in Belgium. All these countries where euthanasia is now taking over. Having a 10 week, a 15 week abortion ban solves absolutely nothing. It just means the women who are so dopey, they don't even know they're pregnant until like 18 weeks won't be able to get abortions. That's all it means. He's really just punishing the stupid. It's not saving a significant number of babies. I don't know who Trump is getting his advice from on the abortion issue, but they're not on our side. They are like the Jared Kushner. They're not on our side. What Trump is saying is a complete loser position. It's like saying we're going to build the wall. We're going to build the wall with the Mexican border, except every 20 feet there's going to be a gap. We'll get most of the wall built. There'll guess who will come. I think a couple of things need to be said. First of all, I already said it. Trump is not perfect. So he often has done things that I think are harmful to himself. And saying that I think just politically is a mistake. But we also have to say without a doubt he has been the most pro -life president we ever had in this country. Because of him and standing up for Kavanaugh, Roe v. Wade was overturned. I want to remind people of that. I also want to remind people that he spoke at the March for Life. No other president had done that. And so right now, I guess I find everything with him, not everything, but a lot of stuff just funny. It's almost like he'll say anything Ron DeSantis says, he'll say the opposite. I know. You could be triggered and tripped into that. And it's his Achilles heel that whatever Trump, whatever DeSantis says, Trump will somehow try to spin it. Trump even said that Andrew Cuomo did a better job on COVID than Ron DeSantis. That is literally the most insane thing any American politician has said since Jefferson Davis said I want to secede from the union. It's up to that level of crazy. But Trump, I mean Trump does this stuff for effect. In other words, for political effect to drive people crazy. That's why I guess I find it at least partially entertaining that he'll go out on a limb and say something like that just to trigger DeSantis. The problem is this stuff isn't cute. There were thousands of people murdered in those nursing homes in New York. Abortion isn't cute. This is not something funny. This is not like letting Jared and Ivanka turn the White House into their own little party hut. This is really serious. And our only leverage over Trump is right now during the primaries. If he gets the nomination, he can do whatever he wants because he will be elected president unless they assassinate him, which I do not put past that. I do not put that past the deal. Oh, I know that there have been attempts that we haven't heard about, but obviously they would do anything to get rid of him. We have our leverage now, especially before the Iowa caucus. Trump needs to be told if you keep saying this weak, rhino, wimpy garbage about abortion, maybe we'll hold our noses and vote for you against Joe Biden because we don't want to be put in prison camps. But we're not going to go to the mattresses for you. We're not going to go to the wall for you. We're not going to be fanatical, devoted supporters. We will hold our nose and vote for you the way we held our noses and voted for George W. Bush. Do you want to be the next George W. Bush? Well, no, John, I think it's worse than that. I think what will happen, what will happen is many evangelicals, pro -life evangelicals simply won't vote, which I think is an unbelievable mistake because they feel it's principled not to vote for Trump because he said this about what DeSantis's view. On the other hand, let him think that and maybe it's true and let him act accordingly. It's like if we are so on the reservation, Eric, that they know they have our votes no matter what they do, the Republican Party will keep treating evangelicals and pro -lifers the way the Democratic Party treats blacks. That is, you have no choice where you're going to go, take whatever scraps we throw you. So no, I think it's good. Let him be a little afraid that we will go off the reservation. No, that's why I just said that. That's why I just said that. In other words, I actually believe that that's true because when you look at what happened in the last number of elections, there are many evangelicals who are so pious in the negative sense that they would say, I'm just going to sit home and I'm not going to vote because Trump had three wives and I'm going to let Hillary Clinton or Satan or Adolf Hitler take over America because I'm so pious that I won't pull the lever for somebody who doesn't agree with me on everything or who puts out mean tweets or says things I disagree with. That is effectively how we got Biden because we didn't have a serious situation that we're in. On the other hand, Mike Pence is saying that unless we give long range missiles to Ukraine so it can kill lots of Russians, we'll have to go to war with Russia because it will invade Poland. So in order to avoid war, we have to fight a war. It's exactly what George W. Bush said about Iraq, that we have to fight the terrorists over there so we don't have to fight them over here so they won't do 9 -11 again. Now we know now Iraq had nothing to do with 9 -11. It had no weapons of mass destruction. So he lied us into the Iraq war. In Vietnam, they told us we had to fight the Vietnam war so that the communists wouldn't take over Japan and then Hawaii. The whole domino theory is something that warmongers and the military contractors they work for, they whip it out every time they want to get us in a useless war. They say, well, remember Neville Chamberlain? Remember 1938? And I always say, remember August, 1914, when they blundered into World War I and destroyed all three of the main governments involved in it, all based on nothing, based on lies, based on garbage. Sometimes it's November, September, 1938. Sometimes it's August, 1914. And you're the idiot warmonger about to plunge the world into destruction because of your silly fantasies private about being a big man. Mike Pence is one of those warmongers and he's very dangerous right now. There's never enough time to talk to you, my friend. We'll get you back as soon as possible. Thank you, folks. We'll be right back. Thank you. For 10 years, Patriot Mobile has been America's only Christian conservative wireless provider. And when I say only, trust me, they're the only one. Blue Collar Bitcoin Podcast
A highlight from BCB127_AMERICAN HODL: Wisdom For Surviving The Bear
"All of your well -laid plans are going to be put to rest by the Bitcoin market. You know, I was very confident we were going to over 100k, I think a lot of people were. Then we didn't. And then I was equally confident, I was like, well, if the top wasn't as high, then maybe the bottom won't be as low. And then I was like, probably 30k, the bottom would be like 30k. And then it was, it was faster to 16. And that really shook a lot of people out, man. I mean, it was brutal. I knew people personally who were getting faken. Most people were just totally inconsolable. They're addicted to their fear. Fear like gets real close to you and it talks in your ear and it convinces you that it's correct. You've got to just push past that and you just you can't give in to fear. This is the Blue Collar Bitcoin Podcast, a show where Average Joe firefighters explore the most important monetary technology of the 21st century. We talk Bitcoin, we talk finance and we talk shit. Ladies and gentlemen, this is it. This is what you have been patiently waiting for. The inevitable, our run in with the legendary American Hodl. We hate to tug him off so obviously, but he was built to hang out on our show. Hodl would be equally comfortable for an 8 a .m. coffee hour at the firehouse as he would be philosophizing with the likes of Breedlove. We hope we evoked both of those extremes. Hodl has been in this game for a long time. He is a proper Bitcoin OG. This gives him the rare perspective of having been in the midst of his third bear market. Even when you have three under your belt, they are not easy. We talk about everything from raising kids to overcoming your fear of being penniless and destitute because you put all your money in Bitcoin. Fear and greed run markets, and if you aren't careful, they can run your life. Understand your psychology. As Socrates said, to know thyself is the beginning of wisdom. We can't argue with Socrates, but we can say that the beginning of wisdom is getting your Bitcoin off of exchanges. The best way to make that happen is by grabbing yourself a cold card Mark 4 and punching your seed keys into a seed plate. We cannot impart how important this is. All of your research, all of your understanding, all of your effort to obtain Bitcoin means absolutely nothing if the exchange you left your Bitcoin on goes belly up and shits the bed. So get those coins off of exchanges and into the most reliable, most secure place possible, the cold card. And if you want to get frisky, check out the new Q1 and its expanded capabilities above and beyond the cold card Mark 4. Before we start, we have some coupon codes to share. If you would like to attend Bitcoin Amsterdam or Bitcoin 2024 in Nashville, get 10 % off tickets to either event with code BCB. Now, relax, enjoy this rip with American hodl. That's a stack of kids, my friend. Four in the litter. How are you holding up? This is only like a few weeks ago, right? It's it's good, man. I love having kids. Kids are the best. I I think parents like to complain about having kids, but like I do with the you know, it's like there's this George Peterson quote, which is like if you weren't going to have kids, like what the fuck would you be doing? That's so special. Like most of us are. Yeah. Yeah. It's not like I'm going to be inventing, you know, a new a new like equation for quantum field theory or something like I'm not doing any of that. So like, yeah, string theory is just a bit above our heads as well, you know? Right, exactly. So hanging out with the kids and, you know, playing Uno or goofing around is like, that's where I'm at. That's my song, right? The other thing you are, but I think of my kids just went back to school. So now I have like full days with nothing to do, but what I want to do. And you start to realize, like, what do people without kids in their thirties and forties do? There's just, oh, yeah, exactly. Yeah. You basically just get drunk in different locations. You're like, yeah, I went to Dublin and I got drunk and then I went to Istanbul and I got drunk and then I went to Rio de Ignar and I got drunk and you're like, okay, that's I didn't get drunk here. I got beer here, you know? Uh, yeah, people, people end up and I don't want to shit in the mouth of, of non parents here right off the bat, but fuck it. Let's do it. Everybody should have kids. It's well worth it. And I think at least based on my circle, most people I see that don't end up having children really, really wish they did. They get into their late thirties, forties and fifties and they realize, oh, I see what this whole thing's about. Um, highly recommend it. Get out there. Fuck everybody. Start fucking, start reproducing. Let's expand the species. Let's get more Bitcoiners. Yeah. Listen, if you don't have a, if you don't have kids, I consider you weak hands, you know, cause there's no one to get a huddle after your debt. So what you only got like max, you know, 40, 50 years of huddling there. All right. Like we need to extend that out. Seven generation thinking like my boy, Marty bent says, you know, I listened to you with, uh, the, your most recent chat with Peter and Peter was spending some time saying like, I love smart huddle. I like the glasses. I like the refined civilized huddle and Josh were like, Josh and I were like, fuck that shit. We want total huddle. If you don't deliver that today, you fucked up. Cause we need you fully unleashed my friend. All right. I mean, I'll do my best. Let's see what I got. Firehouse humor. Yeah. Oh yeah. I think you'd fit right into the firehouse based on some of the stuff I've heard you, uh, spew over the, over the years, I think you'd fit right in, especially coffee hour, eight o 'clock in the morning, just a bunch of degenerates. I don't know if you guys have seen the new Shane Gillis stand up on Netflix, but that's like my barometer for humor. Just like extremely immature playground humor, the way we used to talk to each other, you know, third grade. Yeah, exactly. Those are sort of litmus tests for like how far you can go culturally. You're like, Oh, we weren't allowed to say that 10 years ago. He just went that far in that, in that Netflix special. I guess that's the, that's the tip of the spear for how far we can go. Chappelle broke some boundary. A lot of people have broken boundaries on Netflix in the last, comedy in general has been regressive over the last 10 or 15 years. Like every, so many things have been taboo to say, especially for comedians, which really ruins comedians and only like Dave Chappelle can get away with it and a few others, but comedy has really been shit on in the last 10 years. I think the left went too far and they canceled basically too many people and you can't cancel everybody because then now you just have like half the country that's canceled. Right. And so, you know, all the canceled people, it's not like you killed them. Like they're still alive and they're just like, you know what? I don't give a shit about being canceled. And that's like where everybody's at nowadays. And so I am starting to see, like, I think the, you know, canceled culture has peaked and now we're on the other side of canceled culture. And there's a bunch, bunch of people who basically realize like, if you don't cancel yourself, nobody can really cancel you. You just, you just choose not to give a shit about it. I think it was actually Trump that taught everybody that maneuver. Right. Which is like, you know, whatever, I don't care, whatever you say about me, I don't give a fuck, you know, whatever. Uh, and you know, he's just going to, he's just going to keep going out there and calling you stormy horse face Daniels or whatever. He doesn't keep a shit. And you can be like, you know, you were the worst president ever. He'd be like, that's false. That was the best, best president. So you just don't let any of it get in there. You just go, no, he broke a ton of clown barriers. Trump did. He was masterful with the way he could do that. And if that guy had one characteristic that I admire, it's his ability to spin move out of any accusation by calling the other person, an ingenious nickname that stuck, like just nailed it every single time nickname ever. I think it was low energy Jeb. Who comes up with low energy Jeb. And then you would look at him and you'd be like, man, he is really low energy. Yeah, these things work a cup of coffee, you know, shortcut narratives are really effective. Speaking of presidents, you guys see Biden the other day and it was a yesterday in Vietnam. He literally got hooked off the stage because he started mumbling nonsense about something that was far off of what they were talking about. They turned his mic off while he was talking and he kept talking. And then they had an announcer get on and basically say, oh, you're done here, Mr. President, get, they got the hook out and they pulled him off stage. It was like, watch, watch this clip. Yeah, it was, it was insane. Shepherd came out. It was full blown, like, all right, get this fucking guy out of here before he makes us look even dumber. Unbelievable. You know, in a nation of 360 some odd million Americans, I think many of us are very intelligent. Uh, the last two presidents have been kind of, you know, not up to snuff, right? Like where are our good people, you know, like, yeah, we're not sending our best anymore, unfortunately. It is comical, but it's also downright embarrassing because, and I've heard enough out of you to know that you'll agree with this, I'm still very proud to be an American, I think there's a lot of wonderful things that this, this country stands for and imbues and, and it's done and it's, it's a downhill slope right now on both sides. And I just laugh at, I mean, obviously like most Bitcoiners and Josh and I are aligned on this, I just, both sides are in full blown, full frontal clown mode and, and anybody that's latching onto either candidate at this point, I almost lose respect for it. It's like, how can you take either of these guys seriously? But we need to dig out of that. Like that, that needs to be fixed to your point. That's not something that that's healthy for the average American citizen to just be resigned to the fact that the leader of the entire nation is a complete idiot, we need to dig out of that and hopefully reverse that trend. Well, you know, in general, I lean conservative usually, but I actually have been, uh, you know, found myself very intrigued by Robert F Kennedy Jr. And it's not just because he's a Bitcoiner, but I think he really has the discourse into the Overton window, right? Like by basically being like, why am I not, I'm a Democrat my whole life. My father was, you know, a president, a Senator, a presidential candidate. My uncle was killed. He was one of the most popular democratic presidents of all time. Why am I not allowed to say this? Why am I not allowed to have opinions or questions? And yet in America, I feel like anytime we lose our foundational principle, which is, you know, free speech, anytime we're losing that we're losing our soul as a almost anything you want without significant repercussions, that's, that's just how things are. Like, obviously if you say something that's very racist or hateful or homicidal or genocidal or something, then people are going to be, they're gonna have a lot of feelings about it, but there's very little speech. That's actually illegal speech, right? And we should be able to, yeah, just get together in a room and discuss things as Americans. That's a very rare thing. Like that's, that's not something that you find in almost any other culture on earth. You know, I was talking to Peter McCormick McCormick about this, but like the British sarcastic, dry humor that they're all known for that is because they don't have free speech. So they have to be sarcastic. That's never occurred to me before that either. Right. They have a shield to hide behind and they can be like, Oh, come on, mate. I was just taking the piss. Whereas we as Americans can just say what the fuck we actually think, which is a more effective system. They, they have to, I mean, I'm glad it happened because I love British humor. Yeah. They have to show a side boob. They can't go full frontal. You know what I mean? Exactly. Gentlemen. I'm sure you guys will both agree with this point as well. So we've got these clown puppet leaders that we're, we're just accosted with every four years and have to deal with the shit sandwich or the giant douche. And we've got to pick between the two of them. But then there's also like every time there's like, I mean, I'd say most times there's a new law, some new bullshit with COVID that happened in the last couple of years, I'm stunned by the stupidity and heavy handedness, which a lot of this stuff comes down. And it's like, it's like, I'm disappointed by how bad these takes can be and how bad these real changes are and how overbearing a lot of this has been, especially in the last few years. But it seems like every time a new law is, is instantiated, it's just feels wrong on its face. And I feel like people are so numbed to it at this point that they just say, they just expect it to be the wrong thing instead of what we would prefer to have. Or I think people from our circles would prefer to have at least. What are your thoughts on that? About how there's just like this numbness about how these people operate. Well, there's, you know, we're recording this on nine 11 and one of the reasons I wanted to record with you guys, cause you're both firefighters and I think not, you know, we're all around the same age. Nine 11 was the seminal moment of our young lives. And obviously like certainly had an effect on both of you, I'm sure. And I'd love to hear your stories about that. Um, but you know, to me, I'm, I'm, I have a good, I have a great memory. That's it's a gift and a curse. And one of the things that, uh, I remember is the world pre nine 11. I remember what it was like, and we're now living in an entirely different world. That's not better. It's a worst world. You know, we have an, a heightened security state, a heightened surveillance state. I mean, you used to be able to just, you know, what is TSA really accomplished? Like, did they prevent any new, uh, atrocities? I don't think they did because one guy tried to bomb a shoe bomber shoes, and now we are going to take off my, I got to take off my fucking band, slip -ons every time, you know what I mean? And your belt crying shame. Yeah. Yeah. Fucking shoe bomber. I mean, it is, it is like, we appreciate you bringing that up. It is, uh, in the fire service, it's, it's the day of the year. Um, and it, it's been said for a couple of decades now, never forget. But I feel like the fire service, Josh has done a pretty good job of not forgetting. Like you still see it on a lot of fire trucks. Every single firehouse around the country is honoring it today. There's a moment of silence that comes over dispatch. There's events that happen every year and yeah, I don't know. This is just a complete sidebar on nine 11, but it was fucking insane. Fucking insane. I was in sixth grade. I remember where I was as everyone does. Um, and wasn't fully able to appreciate the magnitude, but as the years have gone watching back in the documentaries and thinking through just like from our vantage point, um, I, Josh, we've talked about this before with our career. Like there is a degree of submission to risk. It doesn't happen very often. We don't want to overplay the hero card here. And the vast majority of our job where paramedics, we rotate ambulance to fire truck, but when this shit happens, it's real. And you've kind of sworn an oath to not have a choice, but to go into that, if that happens in your career, that second story bedroom to risk your life for a kid or whatever, all those men and women that went into that building, obviously hindsight's 2020, but if we worked in New York at that time and, and had the badge on, we would have had, we would have done the exact same thing. So, um, yeah, the heroism that existed by I agree, like to, to get, to get back off the nine 11 is just like, what, how has the world improved in any way, shape or form since then? And it has not in many ways, it's devolved in the opposite direction and we need new currents that flow the opposite way that, that get us back to a lot of American ideals, which is part of what we've latched onto the most about what you've said. And spoken into this community. Totally. We see, uh, so the Patriot act was instantiated right afterwards, which took away a whole, it added surveillance, took away a whole bunch of fundamental rights. And it was supposed to be sunsetted. I don't remember if it was five or 10 years after nine 11, but they extended it and they've continued to extend it since then. It's again, back to what we were just talking about. Like these, it's almost like a peg in, they get a foothold in and the politicians never relinquish any power whatsoever. It's always another step up. Another squeezing of, of the populace. They peg a shit coin into, into American ideals, kind of like potentially pegging shit coins into Bitcoin with drive chains. I don't know. Maybe we ended up today. Smooth transition there. I can't think of a worse way to honor all of the brave guys, you know, who ran into the towers when they were on fire. Then what we've done in the aftermath of nine 11, you know, I just can't think of a worse world. I saw it. I saw an Instagram post that actually made me pretty emotional. It was a, you know, young, pretty girl. She's probably in her like late twenties now. And she went to visit the Memorial cause her father was FDNY and he ran into the building. He ran into tower two and he collapsed on him and she grew up her whole life without her father. Right. And he made the ultimate sacrifice. And that's something that you guys have to, you know, that's an interesting conversation actually like around risk.

The Hugh Hewitt Show: Highly Concentrated
Former President Trump Shares His Thoughts on Meghan & Harry
"I'm Hugh Hewitt. Pleased to welcome back to the program former President Donald Trump. Mr. President, welcome, good to have you back. Good morning. I want to begin on a light subject. We're approaching the 50th anniversary of the battle of the sexes where Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King played each other. Remember that, September of 1973, Mr. President? I do, I do. Were you pulling for Bobby or were you pulling for Billie Jean at that time? Well, I just was pulling for good entertainment, and it was, you know, he beat Margaret Court Smith, who may have been the greatest woman player of all time, and he beat her. And I don't know that she knew she was playing in a match of such importance, but it became a very big deal. And then she challenged him and she won, and she won conclusively. I watched that night, she definitely won. The reason I bring up, 90 million people watched that. 90 million people. And the only thing I think that might draw an audience that even approaches that would be if you were to sit down with the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry, they don't like you much. Would you do that for the ratings? Well, I don't know that they don't like me. I said that I don't think they're very appropriate what they're saying, what they're doing. And I didn't like the way she dealt with the Queen. I became very friendly with the Queen. She was an incredible woman. At 95, she was so sharp, she was 100%. When you watch Biden, you say, this is a different planet. But they treated her with great disrespect, and I didn't like it. And I didn't like the idea that they were getting U .S. security when they came over here. No, I think it's not a good situation going on with the two of them. But I didn't know that they don't like me. Somebody mentioned it might be so possible. They wouldn't be the only ones. But I mean, that would get ratings, wouldn't it? Oh, if you want to set it up, let's set it up. Let's go do something. I'd love to debate her. I would love it. All right, now let's get serious. I disagree so much with what they're doing.

Judge Sets March 4, 2024, As Trump Trial Date in Election Interference
"Are extreme so I will decide March which 2024 is two months after the Department of Justice asked this is a phony fan dance in other words she gave DOJ and mr. Smith what they wanted this wasn't Solomon this wasn't Solomon a type decision this was a Marxist kind decision and so President Trump's lawyer rightly says we can't possibly prepare proper defense under the Constitution under this time frame well give it a shot she says why because the ability to appeal substantively the issue the President Trump might want to appeal which is he cannot possibly get proper representation legal or the lawyer cannot possibly give him the kind of representation he needs in other words ineffective counsel would be after the fact she knows this she's metabolical now as for moving the venue here's what she says she doesn't even read to comment on that yet but she's not going to she says I'll watch very carefully the jury and what but people have to say and so forth why and why is she doing that it's a setup because she knows Donald Trump is going to criticize the process in her and then she'll turn to Donald Trump's lawyers and say well the jury's it's you mr. president you're the one who's biased the jury against you it's sick it's Ocean Drive in Coney Island Ocean Drive is the only luxury in New York with a spectacular ocean view you wake up in the morning and breathe that ocean air I'll that you're gonna live ten years more when I became successful I want to live on the ocean if you have worked hard you deserve an apartment on Ocean Drive

Mike Gallagher Podcast
A highlight from The Incompetence Of Biden & Kamala Harris Is Stunningly Apparent
"This is your source for breaking news and what to make of it all. This is the Mike Gallagher Show. We always ask people, who do you want to see be the 2024 nominee? And six months ago, Ron DeSantis, he would always come up. He was the first one. If it wasn't Trump, it was him. People don't even mention it right now. They're not your kids, Joe. I'm sorry. And it also took you four and a half years to even acknowledge your own granddaughter in Arkansas. And we really could see Trump and maybe even up to a dozen other people face charges early this week. Now, from the ReliefFactor .com studios, here's Mike Gallagher. What a weekend. The Iowa State Fair. We want Trump. The crowd went wild as Ron DeSantis was literally overshadowed by Trump at the Iowa State Fair. You know, I'm going to say this, I've been saying it over and over again, and some people give me grief for it. In fact, Barbara came up to me at the event in San Diego the other night and said that she wanted me to be all in for Trump and I'm not supportive enough of Trump, which is news to me since I always get criticized for being too far in the tank for President Trump. But I'm sorry, I'm not going to deceive you or pretend that DeSantis is being treated really unfairly. Are you listening to him? Are you paying attention to what he says, what he offers? I believe that he should have waited until 2028. And I would dream of a Trump DeSantis ticket in 2024. But everything DeSantis says is exactly what America wants from a president. He's being treated really, really unfairly. Not a whole lot around that. And let's face it, if Biden is the nominee, I don't want to jinx this, but anybody should be able to beat him. Did you hear what he said over the weekend about the wildfires in Hawaii? Now this has been a devastating event. Thousands and thousands and thousands of people have lost everything. That one historic town is completely wiped out. People were jumping into the into the ocean to escape the flames. It's just a hellscape, right? So there's Biden on the beach again, again, man lives on the beach. He's only been on vacation in the two and a half years or so that he's been president about 40 weeks. Hey, Derek, would you get me a fact check on that for me, please? I want to get the exact amount of vacation time that Grandpa Joe has been taking since he was sworn into office after the spectacularly efficient and effective and pristine election of 2020, where nothing went wrong and people just revolted and a record amount of votes for the guy who never left his basement, who never campaigned, Joe Biden. Let's find out just exactly how many weeks of vacation he's been gone. Well, I'll get you that number in just a moment. But I want to play this clip of you because I saw this report on social media from a Bloomberg reporter covering Biden. And the reporter said Justin Sink from Bloomberg reported after a couple of hours on the Rehoboth, Delaware beach, Biden was asked about the rising death toll in Hawaii. No comment, he said, before heading home. I thought there's no way there's no way he can't be that out of it. He can't be that cruel. He can't be that detached. He can't be that addled. There's no way he's going to give a no comment to a reporter asking about the death toll in Hawaii. Now, this video and audio is a little hard to hear. Adam's going to crank it up as loud as he can. But there is video evidence of Biden's callousness. Will you come talk about the Hawaii response, Mr. President? He stood there. Any comment about the rising death toll in in Maui? And he said, no, no comment and walked away. No comment in his golf shirt with his stupid baseball cap on after he stumbled around the I'm beach. going to get a number here in just a moment. I want you to, I'm going to fact, I'll get a fact check here on how many weeks he's been on vacation. I know it's been almost half the time he's spent in office. Unbelievable. So Trump or DeSantis or Vivek or whoever it's going to be is going to be able to get on the debate stage and say, do you plan to work in your next term? Three hundred and fifty two days. He's been on vacation. Three hundred and fifty two days. I'm just going to divide this up as 50 weeks, 50. I thought it was 40. He's been on vacation for 50 with not 15, 50, 50 weeks. I mean, gosh, no wonder Eric Hanson was gone for two solid weeks. He's following a page from the Joe Biden playbook. You know, hey, if you're going to if you're going to go big or go home, forget this couple of days off at a time, take two weeks off, take four. Next time, Eric's going to take four weeks off instead of two. And Eric, too, has to go to the beach. Everybody needs like beach time. Everybody needs like mental health clearance time. Cars don't work. Stay home. OK. Guess Uber doesn't work. I guess Uber doesn't. I'm telling you what, the whole world's going crazy. If everybody around you is going nuts. What do you do about it? And of course, my wife always used to say, maybe it's not them, Mike. Maybe it's not them. Speaking of family, many thanks to everybody who's been praying for my son, Trevor. He had a surgery the other day when I was out in San Diego for our big event out there. Trevor had his toes amputated on his right foot because of his diabetes, who is always the cruel irony that Trevor is the athletic fit one that really just doesn't seem fair. You know, he loves to be he's very, very physical, very athletic, very active. They thought they were going to amputate his foot because of an infection that he got in his in his foot. Instead, they just amputated the toes. He says he's doing great. I talked to him a lot over the weekend, talked to him late last night. He said, Dad, it's the weirdest thing that phantom pain they talk about is real because my toes hurt. And he goes, I don't have any toes on that right foot. And of course, he sent me some videos and pictures. And I tried to be the strong dad without, you know, fainting as he's showing me his new foot. But he's a tough, tough young man and he's a warrior. And I am absolutely grateful for the prayers and the warm wishes that I've gotten from so many people for our family. His older brother is there. Brian's taking care of him. His daughter, Lily, is taking care of him. My other son, Matthew, is going into Minneapolis today to take care of him. So many, many, many, many thanks to the prayers for Trevor Gallagher. Of course, yep, he's the same one that had the car accident. Listen, when you see the car that he was driving when he was in the head on collision, do we still have that video, that picture that we can send out? Isn't it car at 800 -655 -MIKE? And you send and we'll send you back the picture of the car that Trevor was in, the head on crash in Arlington, what was that, a year ago, year and a half ago? And I knew with all the challenges he's had with diabetes, he was in this terrible car accident and he broke his legs, his knees. I mean, he had, gosh, he was banged up. Poor kid was banged up big time. I say kid, young man, what is he, 40 now. But lucky to be alive. But I remember after when I went to the hospital the day after his accident, I was thinking, gosh, I hope to heck he does not have further complications with his diabetes as a result of the accident. And inevitably that is what happened. So anyway, many thanks to the prayers that so many of you have been have been extending for Trevor. He's going to be just fine. I think it is right. Do we have it? Is that right, Derek? Yeah, keyword car. So if you send the keyword car to the MyPillow text line, which is 800 -655 -MIKE, you'll get a picture back of the car that Trevor was driving. He was in a head on collision. He's going about 50 miles an hour. How he survived that thing, I mean, I see that car and I just get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach again. The car caught on fire. I mean, he literally had to break out of the door and crawl out on his badly broken legs. Both of his legs were shattered pretty badly.

Well, listen, birthday today I'm like X years old so I wanted to spend it with you guys start my day out with you. I'm glad Dr. Doon was on you know we can't talk about COVID enough because I just got through my second case and it was as bad as my first last september and not thankfully you know i'm fully backed and boosted and whatnot right. but it's still out there so for people not being safe and thinking that it's over it's not. Yeah, my no heart broke for that guy that called in yesterday and said you know oh he gets like what is this eighth grade like people give him dirty looks you because very much. You have to tell someone a reason Why you want to wear a mask right? Lonnie got asked no not at all. And we should be spectral of those we don't know what kind of autoimmune problems they have or what kind of autoimmune an problem. That's what I'm Sorry. You don't need to have an autoimmune problem yet. You know, maybe You love someone that does you live with Yeah, I get I mean, I just went through nine months of hell with my sister Being being in the hospital. I remember. Anyway, can I do I have time to say one more thing? Yeah, sure. Oh, so I went, you know, a question that is never asked about of Trump. Two things. One. One, What would he have done if he would have gotten up to the hill with his mob? What would he have done? I don't know if anybody in the media has ever asked him that question number one number two the whole will be wild thing Sir Jack Smith knows that never has he said that about any one of his rallies in his tweets. It was always he's come to my rally at this time this place this location that was the only one that said will be wild because he knew the intended result yeah he knew what he wanted he got what he wanted and for 187 minutes he sat out there and let them do what he wanted. Yeah, he would have done in the words of Conor McGregor. that's what he would. We have had many people asking to not do that anymore. How's that going? Say that again Chris. How's that going? We've had many people ask her not to do that anymore. Please stop. Please stop anyway Leslie Romney, please stop. Yes. All right. Well, thanks so much I'm gonna pretend that I'm not 64 and maybe I'm 34. There you go. It's a day. We'll how old you are. Lonnie was asked why he was wearing a mask at at a grocery store and he said, well, my wife has a cough. So I figured these people are not owed an explanation I know I know them seriously yeah yeah more than just because Yeah, it just say it because it reminds me to remind my own business that's why I wear it. How's that? Nobody is owed an explanation for anything you do because it's not affecting them whatsoever. By the way Anyway, speaking of mainstream media coverage in general. Again, is this just we're so numb to this that this this guy that was just shot to death by the FBI you're like once again it's directly the threats that Donald Trump has made and that, you know, obviously the whole like it's against Biden and Alvin and brag and anyone he perceives as prosecute how many troughs or twants or whatever they're called. Trump does have been about Joe Biden's prosecuting Joe Biden's crooked Joe Biden's prosecuting me I mean it just but again I feel like the media just you know what the El Paso shooter is it could be a Trump Trump and speech what they're just it would be too rude to lay this right at the feet of Donald Trump where it belongs and how dangerous this really is and the next time one of the targets is going to actually be hit you know and it just it's like okay well this guy parroting every threat Donald Trump has just made in last the week right is anyway yes I'm tired of trying to appear rude yes I don't that's I'm not burdened by that no not at all yeah we've been talking about all morning in Provo Utah the FBI shot and killed Provo right making threats against politicians and public figures including President Biden and Manhattan D .A. Alvin Calvin wrong Bragg was his name Robertson allegedly made a threat on Monday referencing by Biden's

Mike Gallagher Podcast
A highlight from MG Week in Review (Season 1 Episode 14) 230714
"Welcome into the week in review podcast here on the Mike Gallagher Show. What a week it has been turning on Joe Biden. The media turning on Joe Biden. When you see leftist publications and left -wing periodicals turning on the 46th president of the United States, you know that something has changed. Headline, it's seven grandkids, Mr. President. And it's an article that takes Joe Biden to task for the callous cruel way he is ignoring the existence of his seventh grandchild. And this of course has to do with, I guess, a child that was born out of wedlock and the family doesn't like to acknowledge her. I think she lives in Arkansas. I don't particularly care. It's family and family is messy and it's very personal, but here's the fascinating part of this op -ed. It's Maureen Dowd in the New York Times. Do you recognize the significance of Maureen Dowd from the New York Times turning against Joe Biden? Wow. He's done. He's not going to be running. There is no way he's on the ballot. Is it that hard for you to understand? Do you see Joe Biden on the beach over the weekend in Delaware? Good Lord. I mean, I really, for a while there, I thought it was some kind of a parody. I thought it was some kind of a, it was some kind of a spoof or something. There's no way that's the president of the United States shuffling around on the beach shirtless. And like me, he's a guy who should never take his shirt off in public. And again, I say that with all sincerity. I shouldn't either, but this guy shuffling around on the beach, looking like he's a hundred years old. And I couldn't believe it. I thought this can't be real. It is real. He is a very, very old man who is not capable of four more years. Everybody knows it. And yet smart people like Mark Davis say, well, how could he drop out? How can that possibly be? To me, it's perfectly plausible. It's impossible to believe that Joe Biden is going to be the nominee. It's got to have to be Gavin Newsom or Pete Buttigieg or somebody else, Michelle Obama. I don't know. It ain't going to be Joe Biden. Axios reports on the New York magazine piece that was supposed to be a puff piece on Joe Biden. And the article really confirms that he's a world -class jerk at the office. He curses people out. He tells people to get the F out of his office. He hangs up on people. He yells at people. He brow beats his underlings. He's horrific in the way he treats people. That's according to New York magazine. You understand these aren't conservative publications turning on him. The liberal media is turning on Biden. He ain't going to be the nominee. Meanwhile, the Justice Department, which many of us believe is corrupt to the core, they have charged the guy who gave the FBI information about Joe Biden's shady business dealings with China. Wow. Imagine that Biden's Justice Department going after another Biden whistleblower. You heard the news about what the US attorney for the Southern District of New York is doing? They announced charges yesterday against Gal Luft. Gal Luft is the individual who provided information to the FBI in 2019 about the Biden family's dealings with China. He made a video that you may have seen. The video was recorded just three days prior to the announcement of this charging decision accusing the Department of Justice of ignoring his information and instead using the information to go after him personally. He was going to meet with House Republicans to provide testimony as a whistleblower. I thought when you're a whistleblower you get a sense of what's going on. This is a guy who's a co -director of a think tank. They're charging him with acting as an unregistered foreign agent, arms trafficking, violating US sanctions against Iran, and making false statements to federal agents. Wow. It's going to be hard not to be very suspicious of the fact that yet another alleged witness to the Biden family shenanigans is being shut down by way of lawfare, legal gamesmanship. This guy was an advisor to the same Chinese energy company that Hunter Biden was deeply involved with. So this guy gets charged but not Hunter Biden. And as Bunchy over at Red State points out, we know that Hunter Biden lobbied the American government on behalf of foreign entities while never registering as a foreign agent. I don't think that Congressman James Comer is going to be quiet about this latest move.

The Hugh Hewitt Show: Highly Concentrated
A highlight from President Biden's trip to NATO Summit 2023
"Welcome to today's podcast, sponsored by Hillsdale College, all things Hillsdale, hillsdale .edu. I encourage you to take advantage of the many free online courses there. And of course, to listen to the Hillsdale dialogues, all of them at hughforhillsdale .com or just Google Apple, iTunes, and Hillsdale. Morning, glory America, Bonjour, hi Canada. Good Wednesday to you. I'm Hugh Hewitt in the Studio North. President Biden went to bed. That's my lead story. And you say, why is that a lead story? There's a lot of news going on. Former President Trump is picking a fight with Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds. We got a lot of John Kerry audio for those of you who want to go back to sleep. We've got questions about the Hunter Biden plea deal and whether or not Judge Mary Ellen Norika is going to do right. Well, Joe Biden went to bed. That's the lead story in the Telegraph. Biden skips NATO leaders dinner to, quote, prepare for a big speech. So, presidents tuckered out. All right. He's got to go to bed at five o 'clock because he's up at 6 a .m., which is not true. I go to bed early. You know, I got to get up early. If I sleep in, it's 5 15 when I get up. If I get up at the normal time, it's 4 30. But either way, I'm always on the air somewhere at 6 a .m. in the morning. 9 a .m. other places, 10 a .m. other places, 1 a .m., 1 p .m. other place. But I have to get up early. So I understand going to bed early. But the president flies all the way to England, which is like a three hour flight, right? It's not like he's gone around the world as Japan. He's got jet lag. You went to England from Washington, D .C. It's actually less of a change to go from Washington, D .C. to Denver. So he goes over to England and he gets completely lost with the prince. He's wandering around. And then the reports Telegraph Joe Biden skipped a dinner with NATO leaders last night to head back to his hotel in Vilnius. I'm sorry, not in England. He went on from England over to Vilnius. He went to dinner back to his hotel in Vilnius to prepare for a, quote, big speech. U .S. official blamed the 80 year old president's busy schedule on his absence at the gathering of the NATO alliance's leaders. Mr. Biden has spent the weekend at the beach before arriving in Sunday Europe on night, had Anthony Blinken, the U .S. secretary of state, attend in his place. That's going to be thrilling to everyone. I like Tony Blinken. I mean, I'd love to go to dinner with Tony Blinken. Very got a lot of good stories. You got every head of state there. There's a war in the middle of Europe. It's like going to the Tehran summit with Churchill, FDR and Stalin and FDR saying, let me send over Henry Wallace. I actually, Cordell Hall, I don't know who it was. And the idea that the president of the United States cannot stay up for a NATO summit isn't about time we had a talk with the president about just showing your cards. You're not running for reelection. There's just no way. You're 80 years old and you're feeling it. But let's give a listen to what he had to say yesterday. Cut number one. President Biden has arrived in Lithuania for the NATO summit. And he doesn't know where he's going. He's looking around. And if you're watching on the Salem news channel, you can see it. Whoever is the president of Lithuania is taller. Now he's turning around and wants to go back on the plane. Then he shakes hand and he moves forward. OK, cut number two. President Biden, Jan Stoltenberg, who is the leader of NATO and has been since I was seven. Keep going. Cut number two. Mr. President, it's great to have you here at the NATO summit. It's good to be here and thank you for continuing to deliver. I am, as I've made no mistake, not at all surprised. I've been telling the fact that I think it's really important at this critical moment in the whole NATO issue that you continue to lead NATO. You're trusted. No one knows the situation that we're facing better than you do. And this historic moment, the adding of Finland and Sweden to NATO is consequential. And your leadership really matters. And we agree on the language that we've proposed. OK, he's really sold on this Finland and Sweden deal. He's got that committed to memory. Finland and Sweden are coming in. Cut number three. This is consequential. And your leadership really matters. And we agree on the language that you proposed relative to the future of Ukraine being able to join NATO. And we're looking forward to continuing to unite NATO. They've heard me say, my American president heard me say many times, I still think that President Putin thinks the way he succeeds is to break NATO. Not going to do that, especially when you listen to us. So thank you for the moment. I am reminded of A .T., my beloved grandfather lived 101 years old on his own wheels in his own house. And I love the guy so much, Gramps. And he was a fireman, so of course I looked up to him like a giant when I was three or four. But A .T., as he got older, was always a go get him kind of guy. Didn't really, not very good on the details. Where are you? Are you at Yale? Are you at Columbus? You go to Ohio State? Not real long on the details, but great on the love, right? That's what grandparents after A .T. do. Not long on the details. They're at the baseball game. They're not sure if you're supposed to steal second or not. They're not even sure if it's a baseball game, but they're there and they're cheering for you. And Grandpa Joe is just great. He's there for Jan Stoltenberg. But it gets a little bit worrisome when he tells the Lithuanian president cut number four. Our pledge to to be with you has not waited. It didn't take us long to get thousands of troops here to want Russia invaded the second time. So we'll be able to be assured that you're going to have all that you need. If you have sector defenses today, you can send him along. It's all kidding aside. All kidding aside, that's after he jokes about Russia invading Lithuania.

Mr. President, if you're not the big guy, according to FBI documents and the business partner to a deal involving your son, then who is? See what he says. His friend, Rudy says it's Russian disinformation. That's going to be his response. Get him on the record. That guy's lying, too. And you're saying the email about the big guy refers to another guy. And yet amazingly, no one in your family knows who it is. So you're telling me your son was doing business with someone who took 10 percent of his money and nobody knows who that is. Is that believable, Mr. Biden, or is that your cognitive enhancers aren't really working as well as maybe you need some relaxing to sleep at night. Right, Jim. Do you want the numbers of people who've reached the age of majority, who went through these prophecies and wish they never did? Do you want to call them and tell them the administration has their back too? Of course not. It's disgusting. In fact, you're disgusting. The way you talk about it, it's quite disgusting. Cut to go. "Going to talk about today has a bit of a setup and it has to do with when you join me on my Iowa radio show coast to coast in my state last year with regard to a hidden camera investigation. So tell us what that was about the time that you spent in Iowa and what you found. Well, we found the same thing in Iowa. Unfortunately, that we've found in district after district in state after state across the country. Administrators are lying to parents. They're deceiving parents in an effort to break the law in many instances and push the principles associated with critical race theory into public school classrooms. These are school districts where kids can't read at the great appropriate reading level. They can't do math at the grade appropriately reading our great appropriate level. But rather than focusing on those essential priorities, these districts are more focused on social justice.

Christina Bobb: We Cannot Continue 'Minding Our Business'
"Have to do what you can in your corner of the world. I mean, you could sit back as a listener to this program and say, the system is rigged, I can't do anything about it, or you just kind of take care of your little corner of the world. And if everybody does that, we can actually have a fair system. That's exactly right. And I've heard so many people complaining saying, oh, it's rig. I don't want to vote all this stuff. Well, the people that I talk to when I was doing my investing in one woman, this is an example I've used before. I talked well, I talked a few women, particularly in Detroit that were outnumbered, they were Republican polls challengers and of course there were Democrats, they're supposed to be one Republican one Democrat with them at all the different tables. This is in Detroit. She was outnumbered a hundred to one. There were a hundred more Democrats old challengers than there were Republicans in her area. That is unacceptable. We can not sit back and say, oh, it's the system is rigged. I don't want to vote. Fine. Don't vote, but go secure the polls for everybody else who's going to vote. You know what I mean? You should vote. I don't take me seriously on that. But we can't complain about it, not do anything, and then just say, oh, the system's rigged. Maybe this system is rigged and I certainly have some information in my book to suggest that it is. But the other part of this is Democrats are just better at being involved. They're all activists and we all mind our own business. And that needs to change. Well, that used to be the old joke that you could round up a bunch of Democrats to protest because Republicans were busy working and making a living and keeping society going. But to your point, it's a one versus a hundred. That's not an example of a rigged system that's an example of one side not taking advantage in mobilizing, right? Exactly right. That's exactly right. And so that's my frustration with our own side. It's yes, there are aspects of the election that are rig or what I would call feeding all of the corruption. That's certainly

Christina Bobb: Election Night Didn't Look Right
"In full disclosure, you and I talked on my program in Iowa yesterday and this topic is so important that when I learned I was going to be filling in for Todd, I wanted to make sure we could arrange to have you on. And remind us of how you first started looking crosswise at the 2020 election, you were serving in a role as a television reporter at the time, correct? Yeah, that's right. I was reporting from The White House on November 3rd, 2020, election night, and I think I kind of came to the conclusion the same way the rest of America came to the conclusion. Election night didn't look right. You know, there were a lot of weird things happening. And a lot of people trying to steamroll over it and calling Arizona so early when Fox News did that was the first time it kind of sparked me going, wait a second. Are they are they trying to do something weird here? And then of course they stopped counting and all of the weird occurrences that all that made all of us question it that I mean, I was right there with you trying to figure it all out and report on it and it just didn't smell right. The stopping of the vote count, you know, and again, I first started covering elections. I guess it was a little more than 40 years ago. As a teenager. And, you know, the concept that election night is stopped and then started again when it's convenient, that was just unheard of. In my view anyway, never mind chain of custody of votes. Of course. Of course, and never mind the obvious problems that it creates in causing people to doubt the process, because the whole point of having a result on election night is that people know that that's what came in on election night. If you give them three, four, 5, 7 days to go find more votes, we can't trust the fact that those votes were legitimate votes and that they didn't just go find them after they knew how many they needed to go find.

"Left word with my broker. I want to sell all my AT&T shares. That's a fantastic option that we hadn't talked about. Is this going to cause you some financial harm? Probably. But there's a bigger purpose, isn't there? Yes. What was the last straw, if you will? I mean, because you don't just make rash decisions, you sound like you're you've got a good sense about things. So what was it about this action that led you to take the step you did? I just got fed up with DISH Network. I don't have cable anyway. I have over the air TV. And I got root on my TV. So I still can get newsmax. So I never wanted cable in the first place, but when they start shutting down conservative platforms, why should I buy stock in the company?

Understanding the Fees Dispute Between DirecTV & Newsmax
"Idea was that you run the cable till your house, you pay the cable company announced satellite, but it's the same principle, and then you get more programming. Well, the programming that was put on these channels. Some of it came from your local stations, some of it came from channels that developed as pay per channel like HBO or they started up and became cable channels. Originally it was just they were bringing in broadcast channels, but the signal was better. And then it added an added and the whole thing was so that they could sell you a premium movie channel like HBO Cinemax, et cetera. Well, the local channels said, well, this isn't fair. That we're providing you with a way to make money. And you're not compensating us for it. And so all of these cable and satellite companies got into arrangements with your local TV channel. So if you're the, if you watch the NBC station in a market and let's say it's channel 13. Well, they've made a deal with the cable and satellite company and in exchange for running channel 13, then they may also carry 13.2 or 13.3. One of the other channels that the over the air station operates. Okay, so they're getting something for it. Well, what about these cable only channels as we called it? What about ESPN? What about Fox News? What about newsmax? Well, they want to get a little action on this. Why should AT&T and direct TV make 2.7 billion with a B dollars in profits last year? Why should DirecTV make 2.7 billion in profits? And then refuse to pay a channel to help them make that money.

Marylin Monroe singing Happy Birthday, Mr President. Singing well, kind of Rumors of an affair between JFK and Miss Monroe were in the air but not reported by the American media, which was generally in the tank for JFK. However, Miss Monroe and JFK were seen together in L, a Palm Springs and New York City. As I write in my book, killing the mob quote. On May 19th 1962 at a gala Madison Square Garden celebration. Marilyn Monroe publicly and somewhat scandalously. Serenades John Kennedy with a breathy version of Happy Birthday. The actress is just months removed from divorcing playwright Arthur Miller, her third husband, dressed in a backless sequin dress, so skin tight that she had to be hoisted into it. And wearing nothing underneath the gown. Monroe's slinky performance is a very public signal off her desire for the president unquote that's from killing them off again. Less than three months later, Malin Monroe would be found dead of a drug overdose inside her Los Angeles home. She was just 36 years old. Now, Several conspiracy theories have surrounded the case. Some believe John F. Kennedy and his brother, Bobby, ordered Monroe murdered to cover up the love affair. Others blame former husband and baseball player Joe DiMaggio. Many thought unhappy Studio executives might have paid the Mafia, but those theories are not true. And here's something else you might not know. On the night, she serenaded President Kennedy, Miss Monroe was considered Hollywood's biggest star. Over the course of her 15 year career Maryland start in 33 films at the height of her fame. "We're told of arguments on this constitutional question of whether the trial should be taking place at all. After President Trump left office on January 20th all 100 senators were required to be present for this proceeding. And as we wait on things to get to get going, Tamra Keith, let's bring you in, after all, and talk about who is going to be addressing. And now Patrick Leahy has stepped up me again. Let's go back to senator later. In council for the former president. The United States. Mr President, Majority leader is recognized. Mr President in a moment. Will call up a resolution to govern the structure. Second impeachment trial of president of Donald's Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer, John Trump. It's been agreed to by the House managers. The former president's council and his co sponsored by the Republican leader. It is bipartisan. It's our solemn constitutional duty to conduct a fair and honest impeachment trial of the charges against former President Trump the gravest charges. Ever brought against a president of the United States in American history. This resolution provides for a fair trial. And I urge the Senate to adopt it. Mr President. I send a resolution to the desk on my behalf. And that of the Republican leader. The organizing of the next phases of this trial. Marchal report. Senate resolution 47 to provide for related procedures concerning the article of impeachment against Donald John Trump, former president of the United States. The question occurs on the adoption of the resolution. I asked for the ayes and nays. Is there sufficient second? Appears to be there is a sufficient second test clerk will call the room. This bombing. Baldwin. So they're taking a round eyes and days on proceeding with this impeachment trial, which does give us an opportunity now to go to camera Keith and talk about who's going to be on the floor who will be addressing these senators who serve in effect as the jury in this trial, right? So the House impeachment managers are all representatives. Democratic representatives led by Jamie Raskin, including also Diana to get David Cellini watching Castro, Eric Swalwell, Ted Lieu, Stacey Plaskett, Madeline Dean and Joan a goose to so that is on the House side. The Democrats representing the president, We have Bruce Castor, Bruce L. Castor, Junior David shown and Mykelti Vander Wien. These are not lawyers who have represented President Trump in the past. In fact, they have And added to his team on Lian about the last week or so, Ondo. These air not going to be familiar faces these air, also not constitutional lawyers they have experience in in. In the case of Castor. He was a prosecutor. He also is now doing personal injury and defense law. He is most known as the as the prosecutor who chose not to prosecute Bill Cosby and and then defended that choice. David shown represented Roger Stone and his appeals. Stone is the Trump associate. With a big Nixon tattoo on his back, who was ultimately given a pardon by the president. He also has a met with Jeffrey Epstein. The disgraced financier who ultimately committed suicide in prison who was accused of sex crimes. Has argued that Epstein did not commit suicide but instead was murdered. This is not a mainstream view. Certainly on Ben Vander Wien is the latest person added to the team and his bio says that he is a personal injury and criminal defense attorney in Philly and I guess we should just note there are signs of haste in the work that they've done since being added to the legal team. They've had legal briefs that have been filled with typos and other other signs of short time. Well, you know, I'm not one to criticize spelling errors and punctuation problems. I'm in radio for a reason. But yes, these These briefs in many ways read like, uh, President of the United, the former president of the United States, wrote them carry before the Senate gets to the question of President Trump's role on January 6, they're going to debate this question of constitutionality. Can the Senate even be having a trial for someone who's already left office? What is the Trump defense team's argument against having this trial? The Trump defense team claims this entire proceeding is unconstitutional because Donald Trump is ah private citizen. He's no longer the sitting president of the United States, they say under their reading of the text of the Constitution, you have toe in order to convict and remove someone they have to be in office. Donald Trump, of course, is no longer in office, so there's no basis for this. However, this is not a view that is subscribed to by a majority of legal scholars. I do. I don't want to say that people have written on this question over the years are have been operating in a backwater, but it wasn't exactly top of mind. What I'm hearing from some of these scholars is that things question of constitutionality is not a slam dunk. But the better reading seems to be that a former official Can be tried in to make that case. The House Democratic impeachment managers are going to point a text in history. They're going to say the founders were aware of impeachment of former officials in England at the time, and they're also gonna point to two other old cases from here in the U. S, including the former secretary of war under President Grant, who resigned in a very speedy fashion, and then the Senate proceeded to trial. So this is going to be a big back and forth for four hours today, Sue It's not a slam dunk. But the The ultimate argument is if a president could resign to forestall impeachment, the entire system of checks and balances set up in the Constitution would be undermined, and our lot of scholars think that just doesn't make any sense. We should know today that the leader, House impeachment manager Jamie Raskin, He's a Democrat from Maryland. He's also a constitutional scholar in a long time constitutional law professor with American University One of the arguments that counter arguments that they're going to make today. In this case in his words, there is no January exception for impeachment. Another words If a lame duck president commits impeachable acts, he should be able to be tried by the Senate even after he's left office. Is that a fair reading of it? That's exactly right. And moreover, you know, remember, President Trump was impeached by the House while he was still the president. He's now the former president, so the trial is occurring once he's left office, But the House did vote to impeach while he was still in office and the White House. I want to know that we're continuing to watch the Senate floor here is they call the roll on this resolution, which, of course, is expected to pass beginning the trial. And I'd like to ask Sue Davis, if you know or if others of our colleagues know how they're managing social distancing here. There have been efforts, of course in recent months to keep all 100 senators from being on the floor all at the same time, But from the video feed that we can see they do all appear to be present, which is what the law would require. It does. The rules of impeachment requires senators to be present to be in their desks. For the entire duration of the trial. There has been some covert precautions taken for this event. I am told by a leadership sources that they've opened up the public galleries, the public. The capital's been closed to the public, so they're open. They're they're empty right now. So senators if they so choose will be allowed to social distance and set apart from their colleagues. However, Steve Vaccines have been available to members of Congress since late December. And according to our own NPR analysis, at least 72 senators, including every Senate Democrat, has received at least one dose of the vaccine. So I think because of the vaccine prevalence, there's a little bit mitigated concern about about the public health threat or the fact that this could potentially be a super spreader event. And we should also note from what we can see The video feed just about everybody seems to have a mask on..

A body in the in an ordinary life with an people not so well-educated than is very different from each other as i see it like that.

That's 808 1918 43 Be sure and use promo code Larry Here is more of the phone call that Trump had with the secretary of State of George's name is Brad Raph. INS Burger. I just want to find Uh, 11,780 Votes, which is one more that we have. Because we want to say so. So tell me. Red. What are we gonna do? We won the election, and it's not fair to take it away from us like this, according to the Washington Post of Secretary of State pushback, he said, quote. Well, Mr President, the challenges The data you have is wrong. Respect with this president. What you're saying is just not true. And then they began speaking with the legal counsel of the secretary of state, the legal counsel's named Ryan, Germany. He's the secretary of state's general counsel. He also said that the evidence that the president's team put forward is this not true. Secretary State said with one point quote, Mr President. The problem you have with social media is that people can say anything. President Trump then said All this isn't social media. This is Trump Media's not social media. Mr President. They did not. We did an audit of that We prove conclusively that they were not scanned three times. At one point, Trump said votes were scanned three times. Brad Why did they put vote in there? Three times, you know, put him in three times. And the secretary state responded. Mr President. They did not. We did an audit of that and we prove conclusively they were not scanned three times. The general counsel was then asked. You think it's possible? They shredded ballots and Fulton County because that's what the rumor is, and also that Dominion took out machine that Dominion is really moving fast to get rid of their machinery. Do you know anything about that, Because that's illegal. Which the general counsel responded. No. Dominion has not moved in the machinery out of Fulton County Trump. But they have moved the inner part of the machines replacing with other parts. General counsel. No Trump. Are you sure? You know, Counsel. I'm sure Mr President. I'm sure Brother and claim that they were 5000 ballots cast in Georgia in the name of dead people, to which the secretary of state responded quote the actual number is two. 22 people that were dead that voted later on the chief of staff for the president said I can promise you there were more than that. The secretary of state, said there were actually two There were two people who voted just to CNN aired more of the audio with the secretary of state. CNN has now obtained the entire phone call. We want to give you a much context as possible so you can hear for yourself. What the president was trying to accomplish in this phone call, So I'm going to play for you. Now a seven minute excerpt from this phone call, you'll hear the president appear to issue a threat. If the count is not changed, and Georgia's secretary of state a Republican, Brad Ruffins, burger pushes back, they're characterizing it as president, having threatened When I hear the reed would I've read anyway, he wasn't threatening at all. He was simply saying, I want this thing counted and counted fairly for counted fairly. I believe, he says I will win. Now There is a Constitutional lawyer named Rick Greene, a former Texas representative. He is a Republican. He outlined what he thinks could happen on January, the six day after tomorrow. We're talking about that in just a few seconds. Also Ted Cruz said. We have an obligation to ensure that the election was lawful. This past week I spent writing out of position and assembling a group that ultimately of 11 senators. That we put out yesterday that we will together object to certification in order to force the appointment of an emergency electoral commission to perform an emergency audit of the election results to to assess these claims of frauds. I think we can do that We could do it promptly. We can do it in 10 days. Before the inauguration, But I think we have an obligation to the voters, and we have an obligation to the constitution to ensure that this election was lawful. Meanwhile, the lawsuit that thought a declaratory judgment they gave Mike Pence the authority to determine which slate of electors should be seated. That lawsuit has been dismissed. And the attempt to appeal has also been dismissed. So the majority of members of the house and of the Senate will have to agree to unseat the electorate's something.

"You are back with Mark and Rob. Hello. Hi. Hi. Gonna you look lovely. Thanks. You're just saying that we need talk about Georgia. Uh, Georgia. There's some. There's some crap going down in Georgia. And first of all before we get to the least, call because I know that's like the big fat news of the day. We need to talk about the fact that there is a Senate run off election happening tomorrow. And if you are a Republican in Georgia listening right now. You half toe vote. Don't be one of those people that's like, well, just everything is wrong with the elections and everything's fraudulence. I'm just not gonna don't do that. We need every possible vote, And right now it's looking like, Unfortunately, too many people are choosing to stay at home on the Republican side because Democrats seem To be holding an edge in the early in person voting. And as a matter of fact, I think the number I heard, um earlier today was that there's something like 56,000 people who have voted in this runoff who did not vote in the general. Maybe That's a coincidence. Mock lots of Randall's show up in off off year and all off elections right for run offs. It's so sketch that this is a thing. My favorite part is the governor. Who used Trump to get elected, by the way, and this just awful Secretary of State. Just keep going. Well, there's nothing wrong here. Everything's fucking just fine. It's all fine. Yeah, it's crazy. And of course, that brings us to the call. So the call is the big story of the day. You've probably heard it from our newsroom or the little excerpt that's been played from our newsroom. We'll play it again. We've just got a couple of little sound bites from it and keep in mind. This is like an hour long call. You're just hearing a few seconds. Take a listen I want to do is this I just want to find Uh, 11,780 Votes, which is one more that we have. Because we want to say that people of George you're angry the people of the country or angry, and there's nothing wrong with saying that, you know, uh, That you re calculated. Mr President did challenge that you have is the data you have is wrong. So that was part of the think 4.5 minute clip that Washington The Washington Post released first selectively, right, very, very selectively. And, of course, because that was the first thing that was released. They waited for the reaction of that before. They then released the full context of the entire call. So initially, the reaction Kind of universally like on both sides of the aisle, Woz. That doesn't sound good, like we should have done that. You mean people jumped the gun without context? Ma Chi? Oh, it's so weird. That never happens here on especially never happens to outlets, you know, like the Washington Post. So then, once the full hour recording was released in the transcript was released, then it started looking like a lot less serious now, of course, the people that you would expect to want it to be a serious infraction and like absolutely worthy of impeach. Mint, and I think they should try to impeach him. I think I'd be great. Thank you. All right. I think that's exactly what we need right now. Um, but once you heard the whole hour ate, it just didn't seem all that bad. It didn't seem like he said anything that he hasn't already been saying. People are running with that whole line where he was like, I just wanna find 11,780 votes. But without hearing the context that he was saying it in, which was I know, I won by hundreds of thousands and All I need is for you to do the very basic signature verifications that I've been asking for. I mean, he really laid out the case of all the different examples of fraud and how many thousands of votes he actually won Georgia by and all this Rumpelstiltskin guy could say, is as a what is it? It's raffle raffle still schools. Let's go with Rumpelstiltskin guy. I think that's more appropriate. I mean, all that I could say is well, your data is wrong and then proceed to not explain how it was wrong. So many people have and continue to walk away from the Republican Party because of crap like this. For four years, You have seen a concerted effort by Democrats and some Republicans to undermine the will. Of the voters to take away the one person who in my lifetime has been able to effectively voice for the common person, and they hate they being the elitist politicians on both sides of the aisle because there ain't a lot of daylight between Pelosi and Romney, right? They hate regular people so much and the empowerment of regular people so much, which is so much of what the Trump presidency was about that the Republicans have been completely complicity. In this I mean, look whether you think there was enough votes to overturn the election, not there's no doubt that there are mass irregularities that took place in numerous states and the free And most importantly, fair election is the cornerstone of our system of governance. It is the cornerstone of all that were built on is that people can freely and fairly choose their path, their destiny right And and the idea that you don't want to get to the bottom of that is groups. And it's even grosser. When you think about the fact that Democrats who If they really believe that they won fair and square. They should be the first in line to say, Let's prove it to the 75 plus million people who are doubting the results. Let's unequivocally prove to them that we won fair and square. Why don't they want to do that? There are a lot of people are staying home in Georgia and I look, I guess I would go vote if I lived in Georgia because you only have two choices, right. But Kelly Law Flor and David Perdue are dirtbags to that insider trading stuff They did was disgusting. If regular people did it. We go to federal prison. They're gonna get away with it. Their establishment Republicans, like Let's not kid ourselves about what we're dealing with here. Votes are earned, and I think maybe that's a big part of it, too. People stay at home, and we are so sick of these establishment Republicans not caring about this country not carry about anything but themselves and their donors and lobbyist and we're not gonna do it anymore because you stole it from our guy and I get that I do, but it's like you said they're the choices are Oh, I mean, what's at stake is the entire Country because as soon as Democrats if they win both Senate seats then they literally have control over all three branches of government and there is no coming back from that. You're right, and that's probably why I would go vote. But we've talked about this before. Remember, we used to talk about at length on the old chicks show. It feels so much better to vote for someone..

God bless you for all that you do, you know, tell us, you know, we're trying to break down what's happening over the next couple days because it's monumental is epic, and indeed is there hope that President Trump stays? President Drop Leo Well, I'll tell you right now. Tomorrow is critical in Georgia Wednesday is critical in Washington, D C. I was in Georgia Joe and I'll tell you Right now. The country is at stake here because the Republicans need to win those two seats. To maintain some form of American heritage because the Democrats the Socialists want to take over this country. What we know of America is at issue and I was down there campaigning And President Trump. I want people understand it. He has the right. He has 75 million people vote for him. He has a right to pursue and challenge election integrity. And I'll tell you, Joe, honestly, as a civil rights lawyer. There's no question in my mind that they were false balance. Faulty ballots. Ballade should not have been cast. The question Here is President Trump is running out of time. Approved that before January 20th. Yeah, I wonder what's going to happen. First of all. What? What? You're feeling being down there in Georgia? What do you feeling with this whole? The whole election down there tomorrow? Tomorrow? It's already tomorrow. Leo. Can you believe it? So you went down there would you feeling are the Republicans gonna show up and let me just put with this caviar in and if I'm a Leo is that a lot of us and I feel the same way. It's like Well, you know why bother? George is so corrupt in their election. You know, it is. And and now they front loaded that it makes me nervous. They front loaded the mail in ballots. It's exactly what happened. November 3rd. Leo. Terrell, are they gonna hijack? This is well, man. Well, I'll tell you right now I share the same nervousness that you have Joe because I'll tell you right now eat election integrity is at issue tomorrow. I'll tell you what I feel. I feel like there's a tremendous moment. Um, for Kelly left learned David produced, however. In my opinion, there's been balance already stuff favoring the Democrats. Democrats feel too snug, and I think the fact that Joe Biden is showing up today, Kamila Harris. They feel that they have some from a moment. Um, but I want to make sure people understand it. Georgia is really a red state best. They voted red and you have to question whether or not buying actually won Georgia by 11,000 votes. I have a question and I doubt it, and it was actually as a civil rights attorney for the president to call the secretary of state. In Georgia. And actually, as some questions absolutely legitimate, and okay, and and and you but again, I speak to you like a layman. Leo. You're a lawyer. God bless you. My dad was a lawyer. And I love that. But I know I never had the brains for Leo. I was the worst student on the planet, You know, But you know what I'm talking about. I know what I see when I see people stealing votes and suitcases. It's like a big joke. It's like an SNL sketch. And then the secretary of State says No, Mr President. Nothing happened and the president goes. Excuse me, Mr Rafa Flying her. I said, you know, he goes, he goes. Look that we saw they took suitcases full of oats. I mean, I mean, Yeah, you please. I mean, you gotta make common sense of it all, Leo, you know, I want your listeners to know that that Secretary of State Joe has been compromised. He has to defend what he did. He cut a deal with Stacey Abrams and I want the mainstream. The left one meeting, understand President Trump and listen to that entire hour. Conversation. He has every right to raise questions. He has every right to race issue to that secretary of State and challenge the election integrity and for those left wing media, saying all this was outrageous is a criminal. He did nothing wrong. He did. He had the right to call and ask questions. That's all he did. Yeah, I agree. Rapids burgers. Something of Jerry Lewis. Name of it. Mr. Bradley is very good, Mr High. Schaitberger hiking like, what's this guy gonna do? Leo Terrell, I'll tell you what. So what we go into Wednesday and we see what happens in the house. What happens in the Senate? And maybe there will be this like what Ted Cruz wants to do, which I think is really great. That take crews on says he wants to have this 10 Day audit of votes by an electoral commission. That's not too much to ask Leo correct. Absolutely not. What you want is if you want the country to believe in our election system. If you want the country to believe in democracy, why not have a 10 day full and to also form a commission on the status of how elections are run in these states By ST Joe. I think the Democrats use of pandemic to stuff the ballot box. These absentee ballots. Come on. You know what's going on here? It is In the past. The smell test does not pass the smell test. Leo Terrell. He's a great guy. Everybody loves Leo. But Leo 2.0 man, but I don't got time. You let you both of us Democrats and we saw the light. We said no. What's going on with the party? Because I used to blindly do you remember those days later, I would blindly vote Democrat. I would just say Oh, okay here. Right. You just called getting it now I labored through on this morning show and I see how you're on TV all the time breaking it down, which we so appreciate, And it's more like just seeing the light and understanding the scam that is being put in front of us, Leo. You know, we appreciate your fight, and we want everybody. Listen, Leo Terrell, America's fair minded Civil rights attorney podcast and you're always welcome here and I'll work on the Solomon and Pudge sketch. Really? Okay.
