If you bigger you can have. Be of help. I assure you we won't have about price. Find the William Cain president Canaan bombers tunnel structure. I wonder where I could find diving with the new. Seriously? Brooks must be in the West End tunnel one, they're having trouble with breakthroughs cave-in could the globe departments dog. Joel. This seems like a job engineer not for me. There's still no harm in talking to the night. Manno indices, not gonna have about price long as you want system being. Let's get going. Time you don't know how much it means to a foam hand of like me. One up Bill his own tunnel. I think I can imagine. Mr. Kane is like a kid with chemists. They suddenly discovered the atomic bomb, I realize this tunnel projects are pretty big thing. And you've had more than your share of hard luck way more than my share. What did you mean in your letter that you hate to think what the reason for these accidents might be well? Suppose I gotta tell you on look Cain of comes at hard, maybe want this Bank. So we can forget the whole thing. No, no. It's just that. It's tough putting it into words. Yeah. Yeah. Men partner. Jim Balas we'd broke tunnel all over the world dotted as Mukesh shoveling button, sly got to be minus together using dynamite drills. When you didn't even know what was going to happen next under the river. You think you'd get the nose guy at the going all that with him? Well, let's be blunt put it this way Cain. You suspect your partner is holding up the works resented, but it got to be sure what makes you suspect him at all of that the company we up to get this job made Jim big off the come with them. But if he's a party here, what's the percentage of delight gyms? Always resented that I'm Bevis suited to run the front office up here while yes to work with him in so good bunch up his job. We lost to the. Cameron construction company. They take him in. There's a big shot. Must've talked this Ota witnessed about moose new said that determined to Cameron down? But how can it be sure? Now all these accident with Bowers always on the spot of make them happen. That's what he wanted, frankly. Valentine don't even know how you can help me sand. Hogs clannish crowd KENDALL wandering around down on snooping around wants to give it some thought. How'd you like to buy a Frenchman? Okay. Brooke, she owned by well, for instance, if you were reporter and I refer we could be doing story for national magazine that would get down into the tunnel snoop. That might be an idea that then you could around. Tell Santa's expect one. I'll wait a minute. Hey, look Brooks. That's a good Princeton. All right. But this business of we met, we, why do you think I came up with the idea? Okay. Okay. You arrange Kane I think we're going to take a crack at it. Just how down to this elevated go under. Under thirty eight minutes. That's not that is Joe. Oh, no. That part of it's all right. I'm thinking what happens waiting buddy you so smug about you? Are you know that I don't know? You want to tell the lady, what happens next missing well getting into the tunnel that you've got to worry about they'll be about forty pounds of pressure, swearing, join you down there. That's why we get to the bottom, you still got a half hour. Amanda. Matlock, what that kind of feel that room as we keep, you pray into that, while you just the bed for you? When you get into tunnel hit. My got it to put it more concisely my sweet, unless they're very, very careful of pressure of the river had come down flat out, like a jelly lovely thought. Hey Kelly there we got visitors reporting young lady. Take picture visitor. Joel came to Kane. Knows about it. In that cage better hitting the log with them better woman, the boys. But there sure on Charlie ladies day. Right here. Okay. In. Bank vault. The important thing is to Sheila there tonight. She wouldn't mean when I. Four. Cheer from the tunnel coming in fair open, eighty when the pressure in here, the shame news out there that big door opens by shell. Then you're ready to go onto the river, won't you sit down here usually about a half hour. Oh. Gift about a minute more now, you all right? I'm just swell. By ears even worse. Coming out here in much of a hurry. When you can get the shin abandoned nothing like having things look for what to put these little metal cage around your neck. What are these Charlie chained hawks? We're in case your phone haggard around the cops, not a trillion with the drunk, regio vague here to this decompression chamber. They don't waste much time. You'll probably live goody. Are you sound like an Santo yourself? Charlie it can't stay away from tunnels. Mister Barone Dane. I'm Jack Benny. I'm still Hertie eight. Ashim when I help build the Holland tunnel east. You know I'm not a reporter wasn't born yesterday. I know checking on me, I shouldn't I you know, we can go on much longer this way. And you're in charge little bribe from the Cameron company. Correct. Like, I don't know you bring it up boys break it up. Let me talk what I have to say. It'll be short to the point. Yeah. I did some checking today. The only one who might profit by these accidents, you'll could king. What are you talking about? Let's hear some more. I had a talk with a city engineer said he doesn't know how you can do this job on the bid, you put I made up was big plus nine we would have made it things went, right? So the boy shirt comes up with another bad deal and Kane you had the foresight to take out insurance to protect you. In case you went broke building this tunnel. Real precaution. Yeah. But it was a personal insurance policy taken out in your name, not for the firm that Jim, I know how you've been spending money. So I paid the premiums. But I was only thinking what I'm thinking Cain insurance company pay off. None of these accidents could be traced to you and you'd be saved from ruin his from ruin his bit. Yeah. But that's my look, if there's one thing, I don't like to be kitted along. Now. Do you still want me to find out what's behind those accidents? I have nothing to Valentine. That's why hired you. I know I'm playing right ahead. Valentine'll K. Okay. If you show. That's what you want. I heard what I said evidence. Remember, if I dredge up something from the bottom of that river that you don't like your, the guys who wanted it. Now back to tonight's adventure. George Valentine and a million dollars tunnel. Burrowing deep under a riverbed series of unexplained accidents. Stop the job. Why at sleep answer? George has to supply all these learned is the rather startling fact that both partners in the contracting firm, Canaan Bowers of their own good reasons for wanting to see the tunnel left unfinished right now. Georgia Claire, just ended Hogan's hog pen hang out of the sand. Hogs where Bill Cain is talking to his workers. And I know we've been falling behind down in the tunnel, like you know, Jim Bowers and hugs. So we can like this job. And I've even hired Ballantyne to make sure about them accidents enough, you make up a long time and I pay time and a half every nine from then on. Better person know about that insurance policy. From just make a search me too. That's wanted you to know that he didn't know about the folic from that other construction company. You hear him down? Don't get me wrong. Mr. gain like make an extra money when a job like this all, put it never straighten out. All right. Kali just getting the gator. Gone. Wouldn't be surprised that if we pushed that Turner, another fifty yard, we run your new alleged grambling hard pain voters will never get paid used more trouble. Did I? Told me wanna hear drinks, Ron Cain gone. Come on. Hunch. We've got to be someplace before five o'clock. We should hurry this Valentine euro of habit. London ways at time, she'll be throwing. One survey riverbed Section V oleander through Perry. But that's just where the time is being built, George. Very interesting. And this would be around peer nineteen talking that quite sure, but we're going to ride that hunt. She little harder. Hey, watch on this. If for the last fifteen years. Tell me something those white bubbles coming up there on the river where they're working on a new general gen Xers five Noli much yet. We read the having a lot of trouble. Keep working day and night, two can always kale by the position that proactive just where they're working, you don't say she ever not to go to keep redhead kind of can tell by the bubbles that better the water. Wonder what the trawler has to do with the mango over the shoot every night, suppose to do. Oh. Kind of a traffic clears that the fish taking go ahead. Traffic. Hey, great health. Thanks. "Happy, Father's Day from the man Cal back here Monday morning on wwl. Welcome Ben Shapiro show. Well, the New York Times is hot on the trail of radicalization. And shocker shocker, they found it in conservative YouTubers. This Caleb came very, very important human. I visited Mr. Kane in West Virginia after seeing his YouTube video, denouncing the far right? We spent hours discussing his radicalization tobacco his recollections, he tell moated and sent me his entire YouTube history of all the more than twelve thousand videos and more than twenty five hundred search queries dating in two thousand fifteen right there that should have ended the article. Hey, if you've watched more than twelve thousand videos and more than twenty five hundred search worries on YouTube dating back to twenty fifteen you're spending a lot of time on YouTube. There may be some other issues with you and also is every single one of those videos blame because one of the videos he watched was Jimmy Kimmel. Probably Jimmy Kimmel is to blame. These interviews data points for a picture of a disillusioned young man internet savvy group of right-wing reactionaries and powerful algorithm that learns to connect to. It's just that you may have played a role in steering mister Cain, another young men like him the far right fringes. It also suggested that time is capable of steering them in very different directions. Okay. Well, now you really don't have a point of your article. Right. So you're saying the YouTube could direct you to the far. Right. Also directly to the left, which means you're an independent humid, with the capacity to click on things graduations, and they talk about that and have a chart. It shows the number of political videos that this guy watched each month. It says the right wing content mister Cain viewed in two thousand fifteen in two thousand sixteen often consisted of videos by Molly with titles like social Justice warriors, always lie and the global warming hoax. And then it has mister Cain. Also, watch many videos by members of the so-called intellectual dark web, that'd be a group in which I'm involved like the popular comedian Joe Rogan and the political commentator group, Joe Rogan's fault is Joe's fault amazing. It's amazing. So he watches video by Stefan, and video by Joe Rogan is Joe Rogan's fault, clearly, during 2017 came began watching videos from left-wing channels, oh, amazing. So then wise this story, I'm confused Wieser from page story with graphical me. I'm just a little confused. Confused by this guy Caleb, Kane is an important human because he made a video like welcome to the world where everybody makes videos from an early age. Mister Cain was fascinated by internet culture says the New York Times as a teenager. He browsed fortune. The lawless message board. Okay. Well, that would be a pretty good indicator that the guy was ripe for radicalization already by the time. He was a teenager. Four Chan is a lot more radical than YouTube in terms of general content. He played online games of this friends are videos of intellectuals debate in charge topics like the existence of God clear. That's a problem. The internet was an escape Mr. king grew up in post industrial Appalachia was raised by his conservative Christian grandparents. He was smart, but socially awkward. He went to community college, but dropped out after three semesters broke into press resolved to get his act together he'd be looking for help in the same place. He looked for everything YouTube one day late twenty fourteen. Youtube recommended a self help video by Stefan Malu a Canadian talk show host and self-styled philosopher, Mr. Mallon, who describes himself as an ARCO capitalist had a political agenda. Who's a men's right? Advocate, who. That feminism was a form of socialism, and the progressive gender politics were holding young men back you offered a conservative commentary on pop culture and current events explaining why Disney's frozen was an allegory about female vanity or the fatal shooting of an armed black teenager by white police officer was proof of the dangers of rap culture. Mister Cain was a liberal who cared about social Justice worried about wealth, inequality, and believe in climate change. But he found Mr. Maloney's diatribes fascinating. Even when they disagreed and then apparently he started watching a lot of videos watched them Joseph Watson. And then he watched him a lot of videos on feminism, and then he watched him racist videos, but he never actually became racist that here's the best part. Okay. So, we'll finally you get to the point of all of this. He is asked whether in fact, he ever turned into a racist after watching all this stuff, quote, Mr. K never bought into the rights most extreme views, the far right's most extreme Hughes like holocaust, or the need for white Ethnos state, still far right ideology, blood into his daily life, he began referring to himself as trad con traditional conservative, committed to old fashioned, gender Nord's. He dated evangelical Christian woman, and he his liberal friends, it was kind of sad said, Zelda, wait a friend of Mr. canes from high school. I was just like, wow, what happened. How did you get this way? So if you're not a liberal, and you data conservative, obviously, there's something wrong with you. And then they focus in on Molly Allott. I mean this article is largely about stuff on Malibu. But again, I'm confused as to why it is why it is that this particular person is being profiled when he was never sucked into Stefan, Malla news kind of outright, worldview. And then I love this in two thousand eighteen early four years after mister Cain had begun watching, right? When YouTube videos, a new kind of video began appearing in his recommendations these were made by left-wing creators, but they mimicked the aesthetics of right wing YouTube one videos innovate about immigration between the southern the Lawrence outhern, and even Bennell, liberal youtuber notice. Destiny cain. Watch the video to cheer on southern, but Mr. Bonello a better debater and MC mister Cain. Reluctantly declared him the winner. Mister Cain also found videos by Natalie win a former academic philosopher goes by the name contra points, this win wore elaborate costumes into drag south performances in which you explain why western culture wasn't under attack from immigrants or why race was a social construct, and then talks about how wonderfully funny and engaging, all of these people are on the right. And then he says, well, he became left-wing. Oh, well so too. Happy stories. This is a happy story in the end. And then he came out and he said that he didn't like all of the stuff that he had watched before. And then people were mean to the New York Times spends, I kid, you not several thousand words on the story, and they have pictures again, of Milton Friedman, and me alongside pictures of actual outright, racists, who have spent many years ripping. Hey, the goal of the New York Times story is obvious, canes store is not all that. Interesting. There's nothing there. So the question is why did the New York Times dedicate as much face to it? The reason the New York Times dedicated this much space to it is because this is part of a hard push by the left in advance of the twenty twenty election to silence. Rebelling views. That's what this is that is why they're limping in everybody on the right? That's why they're suggesting that YouTube algorithm. Not that people watch my videos, and that YouTube, outgrew them wrongly directs them to all right. Videos, a proposition with which I generally agree. But the idea is that my video should not be promoted and Crowder's that he should not be promoted and anybody else's on the right there videos should not be promoted like mainstream right wing figures videos should not be promoted Jordan Peterson. Be promoted Joe Rogan shouldn't be promoted that's the goal of the New York Times, shutdown debate. This is from your free press. Coming up, we'll talk about what was really behind that. New York Times it wasn't a deep worry about radicalization. It's really about two holidays and money. I'll explains the Ben Shapiro show. But first Douglas Weather Channel forecast. Not be ruled out.

"W. C B, M profiles, a, a young man named Caleb, Kane and Caleb Kane, talks about his disturbing period in his life when he spent time watching videos of right wing YouTube stars, and how he felt like this was a brainwashing that was engaged in. He was a college dropout. They said looking for direction, so he turned to YouTube and this oh, you can just feel the terror on the fear of all the left wingers. The idea of college kid or college dropout in this case, who wants to expose themselves to other very popular, and in some cases really quite mainstream. And and well established and well-credentialled individuals. But they're all throat into this right wing soup together. This is this is one of the favorite tactics of the left now on there to be alternative oysters. They do not want digital platforms to be free, fair and open. They're so used to the media dominance, that they've had in the past Hollywood and in the news media, where the country is roughly, fifty fifty Republican democrat. Meanwhile journal Hollywood is probably ninety nine percent lips. College professors are, you know, overwhelmingly, I won't give you a percentage because I don't know if my overwhelmingly lives. I mean, there were more self identified Marxist at my al-matar were open Republic. Est on having this ideological vantage, they would just say that it's because they're right. Will if it's because they're right. Why does half the country disagree with them? It's such a fast silent and unserious explanation for their dominance. The reason dominance in this way is because they emotionally psychologically need shoe. Feel like their opinion is the only opinion they're not capable. They're not a quick to deal with the arguments the other side. And therefore, they also feel very comfortable using whatever tools of coercion. They have at any given time to shut down, those alternative voices, essentially, the left can't handle real debate left can't handle opposing voices and this is why they don't react with engagement. They react with hatred and shut it down shut it down. This is what they always want to do. Now in this New York Times piece, they, they put all these different figures together on the right. Everyone from Jordan Peterson to Crowder Shapiro too. Stefan, molly. No. I don't know him Milo Lawrence southern. I think no longer even doing media. Paul Joseph Watson. It was kind of a funny little, British accent. They put all these people in the same in the same boat as though, being right. Of center and be on YouTube being figure. You're basically Neo Nazi. I mean, they're not saying they're putting them in the same category storm front and white nationalism. And they walked through this whole this whole process in this New York Times piece, which is written. It minutes. Laughably partisan dishonest left wing hit piece, which you would expect the New York Times rag. It's a joke. But they have these quotes from this guy, this one guy, who's supposed to be Representative of this experience. Why nobody really seems to know. They just pick this guy I fell down the all right. Rabbit hole. He said in a video that he posted. So I guess he posted this video on YouTube where he said that he was a recovering. All right. Video addict or something from YouTube. And now he's trying to make amends for that by the New York Times he's learned all these terrible things. I found it fascinating. When you when you look at what. What some of the things are there discussed in these videos issues that are going to be in heritage very controversial, and they're going to be contentious. But that doesn't mean that they're, they're illegitimate. Areas of serious discourse in discussion. Here's the near this time speech wrote that Mr. K in recent swore off the alright, nearly five years after discovering it. And as become a vocal critic of the movement, he is scarred by his experience of being radicalized. But what he calls a decentralized cult of fall. Right. Youtube personalities who convinced in the western civilization was under threat from Muslim grins, and cultural marxists. Okay. Is wait. Let's start with that. One is western civilization under threat, from cultural marxists. Yeah. I think that's fair to say, cultural marxists or kicking the load bearing walls of civil of western civilization is mass Muslim immigration dramatically changing societies in Europe and could a dramatic change this country to if we're at a similar level what we've seen in Europe. It's a it's a fair question. Isn't it? A lot of European certainly think so. What else is in here in eight IQ differences, explained racial disparities? Well that takes us back to the bell curve, the book written by Charles Murray and people don't really read the book, they just hear that line. And they want to shout and scream it. And if anyone really understands what is contained I've read the bell curve when, when you read the Bill curve. You know, it's, it's not this there's one chapter that deals with, with racial disparities in, I IQ based on the aggregate numbers that they have pulled together over period of many decades. The differences are small and the differences are only meaningful according to Charles Murray, when spread out over a vast population of a whole lot of people. But one thing that anybody who wants to use that kind of information for racist, racial purposes has to grapple with and generally, the racist can't is that the whole point of the bell curve shows is that there are people of all. Aces with one forty IQ's. There are people of all races with IQ's in the nineties, right? There doesn't matter what your skin color is you can be at the absolute top of cognitive ability, or you can be very, very low in the cognitive ability scale. So that's what the science that Murray was talking about says, and therefore to judge somebody based in their skin colors to make is to make a judgment for which there is the data does not support because you just don't know. Are you talking to somebody from talking to somebody from the Aleutian islands with one forty ninety? You could be either you don't know. And does it really not when people interacted with each other to find out? Well, there's a, you know, a standard deviation more geniuses in this group. When you strap elated it out into the million snow. But that's really what Murray's book about instead, it's just oh rate. Disparities and outcomes are all about race. IQ is a racist tool etcetera. Etc. But see this is these are interesting areas of conversation. You can't have these discussions go back. And listen to Ezra Klein talking to Sam Harris a neuroscientist as recline is a little nerd, that pretends to know a lot about the economy. And it's really just a Marxist, who thinks that the constitution is really, really old man. But clients it's down and it's just smarmy and nasty to Sam Harris talking with the issue of race IQ Harris is a is a live any neuroscientist, and he's trying to discussion about it as recline takes the position of well, you're saying things that hurt the social Justice fabric. So you must be destroyed. That's really all they has. Oh, and then the last one this list is feminism is a dangerous ideology. I think that's true. So it's funny to me, because I sit here I mean, I think feminism leads a lot of women to being miserable to being deeply unhappy to making poor life choices. I sit here and I think I, I would never be described by anybody who's not a liar or, or an idiot as being all right. But I find some of these topics that there that are so controversial in this radicalization of some of somebody on YouTube. I find these topics that I would wanna talk about on this show when I talk about on this show, and then I do think are worthy of exploration and understanding, and applying knowledge and insight and whatever data, we have chooses to get a better understanding of what's true. And what's not? But you can't have these discussions at the mainstream media networks. You can't you can't have them in the pages of the so-called leading newspapers and magazines or whatever's left of magazines. And so, yes, people do to YouTube for it. Does that mean that there are true racist of far rights Neo Nazi morons on, of course, there are, but they're on the internet, and they always have been, and they're in society, and they always will be there, fringe there reviled? They're not taking seriously or or in any way treated with warmth by vast vast, vast majority of people on the right. In fact, I think many of us gladly and make make a habit, but take particular pride in -freshing the far right? As people that just make the lives of everybody who are trying to push for a conservatism to be as open and widespread and widely adopted ideology as possible, you know, having Neo say, yeah, you know, we're we're on the right now. We don't want them on the right. We don't want them anywhere. We want their ideas anywhere near us. But they put all this in this New York Times piece. They put all this together to say all see all this. All right far, right. Youtube radicalization. No mention of radical Islam in this piece. By the way, that, that's not a thing that anyone has to worry about radical does watching a walkie videos, make you wanna go blow up Times Square or something question Mark that they're not. They don't wanna deal with that, you know, that's, that's not a part of the radicalization. This guy, Mr. K one thing, just to skip to the end here. I'll give you the. I'll help you avoid having to read through this, this really pretty garbage piece mister Cain. I don't I'm not aware of him taking any radical action here. They just found some guide a profile on this. They smeared a bunch of really interesting really insightful conservatives by putting them together with people that are idiots racists, and other idiots and racist on the left to the, the true Israelites, or whatever those guys were called the ones that yelled, the Covington kids, they've been around for a long time. They they'll put you two videos up. They'll put stuff up on the internet. But this guy, the, the happy ending to this piece, so to speak from the New York Times perspective, is that this guy, Mr. Kane at the end starts looking at far left answers to the right on these questions. And that brings him that brings him back into what could be considered a civilized, and decent perspective on this. Okay. So the far left YouTube, that's taking positions on these issues. That's good. That's not brainwashing. That's just sensible. With without a trace of already. That's how this New York Times piece sense. You know thankfully, the far left is now getting involved on YouTube, the radical left and they're answering these radical right wing perspectives. And so, all will be right in the world as long as YouTube, engages a whole lot of censorship and algorithm. Algorithm, favoring, and blocking of right wing content, and all this, which is really what this is about now when the left is making an open play for an internet that they have dominance of out in the out in the open. Now, they just wanted to be that the left gets the dominate communication on the internet because they've been they feel like they've lost too much ground to many elections. Live lost too many arguments by allowing people to really think and find out for themselves. It much rather have Silicon Valley baron spoon. Feeding the public left-wing slop. And that's what this YouTube articles really hoping. When it comes to buying line..

"Tonight, we're talking with Dave Kane about his book and the book is called forty one signs of hope you can find information about on his website. Dave Kane dot net, by the way, Dave came to us because we had been talking with another gentleman hood are similar loss. Well, we used a loss because I can't think of a better word at this point. But he he experienced a similar tragedy, and he lost his son in an accident. A few years back. His name was Joe McQuillan. He also wrote a book on the subject, Dave, I find that you know, going through this kind of tragedy while it's it's almo- almost unspeakable. Horror in a way. But folks like you and Joe McQuillan have found a way to turn a what most people might see something they can't even make it through into a there's a positive message here. Well, we decided from the beginning. We were not going to allow us to to. We were not gonna let anybody take Nikki from us. First of all we were going to do what we could take as you said something horrible and try to turn to something positive to help people find some hope to help people feel. Lazy in uplifted who is the possibilities of what we've experienced. And you know, I just it was so easy to do. Because it wasn't. I didn't read your book. I shouldn't even be called an offer. I'm a stenographer because all I did actually happened in our lives. And that's the message of the book though, you do you can with life. You have a chance to make something from what's happened to you. You know in our life. It isn't what happens to us. It's what we decided to do about it. That makes the difference. Why do you think that Nick is so active on the other side helping people sending messages I mean that doesn't happen for everybody? Well, I think it happens more than people think, but but Nikki's icy right now Nikki's job, I am getting these signs, and these evidences in so that we can show them to other people. So they will notice a smaller ones that they get, you know, people get them all the time. But this so aggrieved there so sad that they're not realizing it's happening. I sometimes analogize is to women in in a supermarket, and they're talking to each other and one of them has a little girl who's pulling their coats saying, mommy. Mommy, mommy, but the two women keep talking, and if you analogize it to the woman who has a little girl talking insane by daughter passed away. I really miss her. I wish she was here and. Little girls pulling their coat and saying, mommy up right here. I'm right here. And that's where we need to know that our children are with us. They go nowhere will. And a lot of times. That's the biggest thing when it comes down to the paranormal and spirits, and all that is that they want they want people to know that they're they're they want people to understand that they're still with us. Correct. Oh, sure. Of course. And and even the skeptics, the people who are skeptical about mediums and everything I call that the Santa syndrome, you know, we were brought up as Christians we were brought up to believe in Santa Claus. And then you're told well, maybe not to ferry right? And maybe and then there's the Easter bunny and all of these times our lives as children that were set up, and then we're disappointed, and I think especially with men they are they want this to be true who would not want it to be real. But they're afraid that Lucy's kind of move that football again. They're afraid that it's not gonna be true. And that's what keeps people back from taking it in and giving a shot at it. You know, that's what stops because they're afraid it won't be true and building trust. Now, you have a couple of other stories, I think you'd like to share with us. And I think one of them had something to do with a picture. Can't remember the exact story. But something to something about a camera. Yeah. Tell you that. I just want to mention I just remember to mention there is an award winning documentary called forty one. Now, this is not the one about George Bush. This is this is the other one it's called forty one. You can you can rent it on I terms, and it's all about Nikki about the fire. Nikki, and and it is called forty one and you can see the trailer for the movie at forty one the movie dot com. Four one the movie dot com, and you can check that out to the camera thing, I can tell you. We have four sons, and Chris is the oldest Nikki UC on this. And they were just always together, they just get along famously they were ten years apart and Chris was obsessed with videotaping Nikki. And if you turn in the house in the car on stage in the backyard in the bathroom don't ask it was never my and and he. He was obsessed with it. Well, the past came to be Chris birthday. And we want he asked for a new camera. So I was going to get a Massoni and my wife said, no, no he wants to Samsung. I said why she's I don't know? But he wants a Samsung. So we got him a Samsung, and we're all going to bugaboo creek one of the restaurants is about seven of us in the car, and we put Christians president obey a little person. And when he started to take it out. He started open the box, and I should point out that when it was every year when it was Chris's stay. He's letting Nikki blow out his candles. So that morning he's that day. He's opening the box. And he says mom, I guess this year I have to call my own candles. Jeez. And and he took the brochure out Samsung brochure out and on the cover of the book of the brochure was a picture of a little boy blowing out the candles on the birthday cake. Now that would be really cool in and of itself. Yeah. But as I show in my presentation, the boy is an identical. Identical face in Nikki. Wow. Hi, put up two pictures, one of Nikki when he's standing behind a birthday cake and on from this brochure, and they are dead on. I did on. Now, I chase Samsung for six years to get a hold of somebody. They didn't wanna talk to me because they thought they ran a picture of my son without permission. Scifis get ahold of somebody. And she said, Mr. Kane, I'm gonna have the soldiers. Photographer from the shoot co-, call you. But this is not true. Boy. That that photographer. Call me the following Tuesday morning at eleven forty one. And said, I'm gonna send you all of the pictures from shoot in San Diego that we did I'm gonna send you all the pictures, and in none of the other pictures does this boy look as much like Nikki has he does on the brochure while it is astounding happy birthday, Chris now, let's how do we how do we account for something? Like that. I mean, I I can't imagine that Nick can manipulate pictures or whatever it happens to be. So where what is that sign? Come from. I have no idea. And that's the thing we have to understand. We don't know how it's done. I don't think we have the facilities to really be able to seek your it out. I mean, I have trouble watching Copperfield, right? I mean, it's I don't think it's our job to figure out how they do it. I think you I have to have the belief that it can be done. And and however, they do it. It can't be we have a picture of of Miki. Standing behind my wife, two and a half years after the fire on thanksgiving. Yeah. I see. Behind her in a hotel room. Yeah. I've seen that picture. That's an amazing picture. It is. And I know I sent you something you can't use. We have e you talk about VP's. Do we do? We do talk about them. Yeah. And and EV we haven't EV p that I say that I guess you couldn't use. But. This EDP is one of the clearest I've ever heard collected. And it is absolutely Nikki's voice. He is saying to us mom and dad, this is Nick and that came from someone else. Right. Someone that you didn't know. Yeah. My wife had had a meeting had a session with Maureen Hancock, another great media and morning said to her you ever, call you. And she said, well, sometimes I think I do and she said well this time he's going to call you on. They'll be no mistaking it. And on the tape of that session is a little boys voice right at that moment says, mommy. Well, that was written up in in a journal of MVP collectors. I ain't no excuse me in a newsletter and a lady contacted me from southern California. And she said to me. I think your son is sending me EDP's. And my first response to me was nut burger. Somebody somebody who doesn't know Nick wouldn't know Nikola lineup. She's going to her and sure enough after three or four different VP's, and she got one said Joe's Nick's mom. Another one said, Sydney he's last name. And then we got this one. I'm a dad. This is Nick. And I think you said it best earlier when you said first off. Not to really wonder why. Or I mean how. And I think that's a big thing when it comes down to it as an investigator. Of course, I wanna one I want to wonder how these things are possible and so forth. But there comes a point where you just gotta throughout the how and just wonder why why you're getting these signs. I mean there were so many things. Now, listen there can be coincidence. But coincidence counts here, my wife was walking one morning, and she was talking to Nick about a house that we had in Cranston. And when we moved out of there he was very upset because the boys had made a clubhouse can the attic. And they had all kinds of stuff all over the ceiling, and every and my wife said, you know, next and she's walking storage, Nick one of these days. We're going to get that that house back. Maybe we'll get back and we'll bring everybody back, and we'll put up the cartoons and paints on the wall again. And then she said, of course, I can't get everybody back and. "Hope you can find information about on his website. Dave Kane dot net, by the way, Dave came to us because we had been talking with a gentleman who had a similar loss. Well, we use the loss because of can't think of a better word at this point. But he he experienced a similar tragedy, and he lost his son in an accident. A few years back. His name is Joe McQuillan. He also wrote a book on the subject, Dave, I find that you know, going through this kind of tragedy while it's it's almost unspeakable. Horror in a way. But folks like you and Joe McQuillan have found a way to turn a what most people might see something they can't even make it through into a there's a positive message here. Well, we decided from the beginning we were not going to allow this to to. We were not gonna let anybody take Nikki from us. First of all, we were going to do what we could take as you said something horrible and try to turn it into something positive to help people find some hope to help people feel. In in in uplifted, who is the possibilities of what we've experienced. And you know, I I just it was so easy to do. 'cause it wasn't. I didn't read the book. I shouldn't even be called an offer. I'm I'm a stenographer because all I do. Actually happened in our lives. And that the message of the book though, you do you can with life. You have a chance to make something from what's happened to you, you know, in our life. It isn't what happens to us. It's what we decided to do about it. That makes the difference. Why do you think that Nick is so active on the other side helping people sending messages I mean that doesn't happen for everybody? Well, I think it happens more than people think, but but Nikki's icy right now Nikki's job, I am getting these signs, and these evidences, and so that we can show them to other people. So they will notice a smaller ones that they get, you know, people get them all the time. But they're so aggrieved there so sad that they're not realizing it's happening. I sometimes analogize it is to women in in a supermarket, and they're talking to each other and one of them has a little girl who's pulling your coat saying, mommy. Mommy, mommy. But the two women keep talking. And if you'll analogize it to the woman who has a little girl talking insane by daughter passed away. I really miss her. I wish she was here and the little girl is pulling their coat and saying, mommy up right here. I'm right here. And that's what we need to know that our children are with us. They go nowhere. Well, and a lot of times. That's the biggest thing when it comes down to the paranormal and spirits, and all that is that they want they want people to know that they're they're they want people to to understand that they are still with us. Correct. Oh, sure. Of course. And even the skeptics, the people who are skeptical about mediums and everything I call that the Santa syndrome. You know, we were brought up as Christians we were brought up to believe in Santa Claus. And then you're told well, maybe not elevated to ferry right? And maybe and then there's the Easter bunny and all of these times in our lives as children that were set up, and then we're disappointed, and I think especially with men they they want this to be true who would not want it to be real. But they're afraid that Lucy's kind of move that football again. They're afraid that it's not gonna be true. And that's what keeps people back from taking it in and giving a shot at it. You know, that's what stops because they're afraid. It won't be true. And they'll be crushed. Now. You have a couple of other stories, I think you'd like to share with us. And I think one of them had something to do with the picture. Can't remember the exact story. But something to something about a camera. Yeah. Tell you that. Remember to mention there is an award winning documentary called forty one. Now, this is not the one about George Bush. This is this is the other one it's called forty one. You can you can rent it on I tunes, and it's all about Nikki, it's about the fire, and Nikki, and and it is called forty one and you can see the trailer for the movie at forty one the movie dot com for one the movie dot com, and you can check that out to the camera thing, I can tell you we have four sons and Christmas the oldest Nikki museum this, and they were just always together. They just get along famously they were ten years apart and Chris was obsessed with videotaping Nikki. And if you turn in the house in the car on stage in the backyard in the bathroom don't ask it was. And and he was obsessed with it. Well, the N Nikki pass came to be Christmas birthday, and we want he asked for a new camera. So I was going to get him a Sony and my wife said, no, no he wants to Samsung. I said why she's I don't know? But he wants a Samson. So we got him a Samsung, and we're all going to bugaboo creek one of the restaurants is about seven of us in the car, and we put Christmas president a bag a little person. And when he started to take it out east started open the box, and I should point out that when it was every year when it was Chris's stay. He's letting Nikki blow out his candles. So that morning is that day. He's opening the box, and he says to his mom, I guess this year, I have to blow up my own candles. Jeez. And and he took the brochure out to Samsung brochure out and on the cover of the book of the brochure was a picture of a little boy blowing out the candles on the birthday cake. Now that would be really cool in and of itself. Yeah. But as I show in my presentation, the boy is an identical. Identical face to Nikki. Wow. I put up two pictures one of Nikki when he's standing behind a birthday cake and on from this brochure, and they are dead on did on. Now. I chase Samsung for six years to get a hold of somebody. They didn't want to talk to me because they thought they ran a picture of my son without permission. Finally, got a hold of somebody. And she said, Mr. Kane, I'm gonna have the soda photographer from the shoot call you. But this is not true. Boy. That that photographer. Call me the following Tuesday morning at eleven forty one. And said, I'm gonna send you all of the pictures from the shoot in San Diego that we did I'm gonna send you all the pictures, and in none of the other pictures does this boy look as much late. Nikki has he does on the brochure while it is astounding happy birthday, Chris now, let's how do we how do we account for something? Like that. I mean, I can't imagine that Nick can manipulate pictures or whatever it happens to be. So where where does that sign come from? I have no idea. And that's the thing we have to understand. We don't know how it's time. I don't think we have the facilities to really be able to seek your it out. I mean, I have trouble watching Copperfield. I mean, but I don't think it's our job to figure out how they do it. I think you I have to have the belief that it can be done. And and however, they do it can't be we have a picture of Mickey. Scamming behind my wife, two and a half years after the fire on thanksgiving. Behind her in a hotel room. Yeah. I've seen that picture. That's an amazing picture. It is. And I know I sent you something you can't use. We have e you talk about EDP. Do we do? We do talk about them. Yeah. And EV we have an EDP I say that I guess you couldn't use. But. This EDP is one of the clearest I've ever heard collected. And it is absolutely Nikki's voice. He is saying to us mom and dad, this is Nick and that came from someone else. Right. Someone that you didn't know. Yeah. My wife had had a meeting had a session with Maureen Hancock another great media and morning said to her do you ever call you? She said, well, sometimes I think I do and she said well this time he's going to call you on L P. No, mistaking it. And on the tape of that session is a little boys voice right at that moment says, mommy. Well, that was written up in in a journal of EDP collectors. Excuse me in a newsletter and a lady contacted me from southern California. And she said to me. I think your son is sending me EDP's. And my first response to me was nut burger. Greet somebody who doesn't know Nick would know Nikola lineup. She's going to her and sure enough. After three or four different EDP's. And she got one said Joe's Nick's mom. Another one said said Nikki's last name. And then we've got this one on the dead. This is Nick. I think you said it best earlier when you said first off. Not to really wonder why. Or I mean how. And I think that's a big thing when it comes down to it as an investigator. Of course, I wanna one I to wonder how these things are possible and so forth. But there comes a point where you just gotta throughout the how in just wonder why why you're getting these signs were so many things. Now, listen there can be coincidence. But coincidence counts here, my wife was walking one morning, and she was talking to Nick about a house that we had in Cranston. And when we moved out of there he was very upset because the boys had made a clubhouse in the attic. And they had all kinds of stuff all over the ceiling, and every and my wife said, you know, next and she's walking storage in you'll Nick one of these days. We're gonna get that that house back. Maybe we'll get back and we'll bring everybody back, and we'll put up the cartoons and paints on the wall again. And then she said, of course, I can't get everybody back and. As soon as she said that in front of her was a piece of cheap art paper. They give out in school, and she picked it up and on the other side of the paper on it was dry on a do fill morning. "Rob I wanna talk with meteorology one on one to begin with. And that is how big is the physical energy impact difference between category five category three earth smallish category. One hurricane while one to five is the easiest Tom to explain that you get minimal damage with a cat wine category. Five it is extensive usually don't have buildings left that are made out of wooden timber after five goes by. I mean within threes kind of like the middle range. What I could do was acquitted. Katie tornado small tornadoes doesn't do a whole lot of damage when you get a f- three twenty eight. Oh, it'll it'll tear the roof off ousted the walls down you had an F five Italy just rubble behind the same kind of thing happens with a hurricane cat fives usually rubble in their wake okay within this is the idea that I learned in, you know, hurricane experience one oh one which is the thing comes in. And then it hits the shore in weird things happen. What's your guesstimate this time? Well, the question is when does it hit the shore? This what's going to happen? Thomas. High pressure is going to develop crossed northeastern Ohio river valley Justice, Florence approaches Wilmington, North Carolina, all of a sudden steering currents disappear. So the storm is going to stall Justice. It makes an approach to the North Carolina coast the models now are suggesting what happens is as the high gets stronger over the northeast this weekend it actually nudges Florence down the coast from Wilmington. Offshore to offshore of Myrtle Beach, and then try to push it in near Charleston. That's a bad situation. Because if the eye of the hurricane doesn't go inland. It'll it won't be as strong as it was as it made its approach, but it will continue to persist. And that may cause a very prolonged Rampal event across north South Carolina and Georgia go it just twenty thirty forty who's counting come on these numbers. And there's somebody standing on a beach in the winds blowing over here, and you know, life is bad. Seriously, rob Carolyn, what does the inches of rainfall? We're a pro like you really sits up and pays attention. How many is bad? Anything over twelve and it depends on the territory, though, to storms we have to compare to this one was Harvey last year in Texas that produced up to five feet of rain over a flat area. So the water came up, but you didn't have flash flooding western North Carolina, South Carolina north Georgia mountains, so you worry about flash flooding there with any thing over six or eight inches of rain. I know they're actually talking the western Carolinas about the potential for landslides. Which is something. We don't talk about the other problem with Matthew that produced about two feet of rain over eastern, North Carolina and South Carolina just a couple of years ago, and it actually closed I ninety five in South Carolina for several weeks. Rob thank you, so much really value your work in look forward to speaking to you today and through the rest of the week on hurricane Florence, Mr. Farrow. Thank you very much. Mr kane. Daniel flashed youngest now senior research analyst is apple gets ready to unveil a new range of products. Daniel what we want to know is what if they got to make Tom. Gain upgrade from the iphone ten to the iphone tennis. Max is that what it's going to be cold. Good morning. It's certainly could be called that. I think what they're going to have a lineup of three new devices all of which will have larger edge to edge screens. And I think what's important. Besides just the physical form factor is the notion that space ID, which is really changing the user experience is going to be more broadly available. The other thing that I think is relevant is that the company is building out the capabilities around augmented reality, and I think we're gonna see more and more apps in the coming years really leverage that technology. What's in it for people like me who turned face idea off the moment, they got the phone? I could care less. What's gonna be? What's the new? Why did he do turn Syria? Off. But. Sorry, Tim cook. And to do to keep the gravy train going for people that don't want all this bolt on stuff. He's going to make sure the phone works better faster cleaner. He's going to enable the app, developers who are really the ones creating a lot of the the experiences that you Tom have. He is going to enable them to do more and more powerful things and the magic if you will about apple experiences that a lot of it is seamless it weaves its way into your life through payments music. What have you really in very easy fun ways can ask the question. The flippant ones. Are they going to start the battery out, Dan? The batteries ongoing issue right because power, obviously, the more and more you're doing with this device it drains a lot of power what they are doing. With software certainly the hardware is really trying to optimize an individualized the experience to your own power needs. John if you will in order to make sure that your experience is is good for you. But but it's it's a work in progress. So let's talk about the financials. They have done some terrific work get in the ass up and sort of taken the distraction away from the volume story, which is an Asim press relatively speaking two years by and getting us to focus on the average selling price, some great work that Dan, what can they do with the new product range and how much an adjustment. Could we see to the average selling price because of it? Well, what happens with each new device is that the cost generally go up, and so one of the reasons for the thousand dollar iphone ten was the significant costs, for example, the led screen you could see the ten come down closer to nine hundred if they have the super max. Plus if that's what Tom wants to get that could be a thousand or a little bit more. And there's also the likelihood of an LCD device perhaps around six point one inches which could be in the seventy eight hundred dollar range. But what we've seen is they are more focused on driving the quality of the experience and making sure that that is true to what apple wants to deliver. And we can see from their history. Thing to lower price points necessarily. Look here at the use of the app animal. Face cat, stickers for your photos and more. I mean is all this stuff driven. The kids are grown ups, actually using all this was bang technology. Well, it's a mix and that is what I think is important in the platform. So my my two year old daughter. One hundred and four year old grandmother might use. So when you think about it, you Tom, and I and John we we aren't necessarily representing the majority and so. Yeah. Is that you have millions of developers writing apps to address a variety of different people globally. I think is what's important, and and just to add to the numbers John to your point has paid out over one hundred billion dollars to developers over the past decade. And so I a partly somewhat unappreciated part of the story their ability to empower others. What's interesting here? And if you go up to your Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire all the hipsters have apple watches, and Danny Blanchflower in the career still wearing the Ll bean watch cost twenty nine ninety five out of freeport, Maine is the apple watch finally going to really catch on outside of technologically in fashion hip. I think you're seeing it, Tom. And I think what's interesting is that fitness and health care, obviously, keep focused. One is more and more sensors find their way into the device, you you are able to pull together the physical hardware. The software the services and apple is of course, trying to partner with universities with hospitals to to make that people's data and their experience in their fitness in this case, or how experiences are superior and really additive to their lifestyles. Thank you so much that was a wonderful. He's from Neuberger Berman and the reality of this. We're gonna have this event is it? Come on. I'm going to get into fitness. Get the apple watch my first app is he has it. It's called Gibson. Okay. And what are you going to do with that? I get sick. It's an apple watch. They're going to keep track of how many gifts that doesn't sound. Okay. Walton set some department literally was nothing in it. But it was A Gibson in each room. And I still understand it. You'd never explained it to me. Why was the guitar in each? So we do this. The blessing less the apartment with Gibson. There's only one Gibson this. There's a few other, Tom. Well, you know. Should we talked to Michael Barr is he's still in therapy? Over jets over it. Now, I thought a treadmill was a drink. So that's all very good. That sounds like a good trick. Let's do a data check here in savers those. We're cutting chiseled was futures in negative to Dow futures at negative importantly, the vix has come in the last few days in this quiet. Now the many flavored milk I finally had root beer Minton all call different seeing salt I heard Carmel see-saw good Kathy Leary, was here earlier so we're gonna go with, what we have in this case the county executive so let me talk to you about a couple of. Things you're hosting a forum tonight, for eight. Candidates, for the democratic nomination for governor what's that about it's about an issue that. You saw directly when you were mayor of. Oak creek and every elected executive, in the state does which is something we don't talk about enough but every year we send locally. More to the state than the year before. And we get back less so as an example right now, Milwaukee county Descends about four hundred million dollars a year more, to Madison every year than we did about. Ten years ago but, what we get back is flat or in some cases less and. You? Know this isn't it. Awesome versus the. State I'm proud to live in the, state, but you need to be an economist to know that, these trends aren't going to aren't sustainable. And the idea with. This forum is to look for solutions and to say okay. Can we at least get. People to commit to look, for a solution that works for the state and local government, and now more. Than ever is the time to do it because you've got the giant economic development opportunities but they happen locally and local government can only. Support that if? They can support the infrastructure yeah but what's happening ledger doing this because this actually transcends party right you have local governments who, are doing a lot of the heavy lifting, building up example some other examples that may happen in other communities in our area they're doing the heavy. Lifting on economic development they're paying, for the Infrastructure there creating chefs and, they're handed all that money to the states. And they're not getting Return back yeah no that's basically the, gist of as I always make the point that I get along very. Well with our friend Paul fair the walk shot Kennedy's Acquino's exactly what the deal is here we're not talking about. Increasing fees or taxes is just making sure that, which generated locally, we get a bigger share we when we grow economic development through new. Job the new revenue we should be. "Best in that part of the world it just makes for a little bit of a more contentious situation on an ongoing basis with that much hardware in that part of the world but it does speak of russia moving hardware in that area it speaks of syria must be running out of equipment third big thing you need to know i call it bake government socialism i ran into a young man one day a young black man probably in his late twenties and he said to me mr kane i am more and more of a conservative and less of a liberal but i still have a problem with the word liberal and the word so the word conservative because the two terms have been demagogued used and abused so much and so i finally came up with an alternative to describe liberal and to describe conservative i'm now from now on going to call it big government big government socialism because that's what it is versus smaller government capitalism now i'd say smaller because we got a long way to go before we can consider our government small enough but we're headed in the right direction now the reason i'm gonna term it big government socialism is because it's coming out of us and you have the far left of the democrat party and others out there trying to speed up our slow walk to socialism bernie sanders being that loudest voice he says he's a democratic socialist no he's not he is a socialist trying to drag this nation and to communism yes i said it because that's what he's trying to take us now read an article this morning by someone who works for the daily signal jared step man he wrote a beautiful article explaining why socialism has never worked in the history of mankind socialism is a slow walk to a cutting ism which is founded upon the principles exposed by karl marx that's a little brief history lesson now examples today of where socialism has failed can we say cuba it has failed can we say venezuela it has fail can we say u s s r it failed in nineteen ninety one when the u s s r the the united soviet socialist republic broke up because all of the countries was sick of everybody being treated equally bad except.

"Yup you got it well speaking of exceeding expectations david on hold had a really good story about something his father told him growing up hello david welcome what was that great advice that you got from day game mr kane already speak with your shirt thank you a couple of things that he taught me it as the young kid growing up in fifty seven years old now with to exceed my cutter was expectations yup an it's probably that my coaster customer wasn't necessarily the person that got the end result but maybe the next person down in your lee longer to vic got your product to finish it out right with the seeking their expectation it with his year for them and all that and then you know i called _e_s_p_n yes and then the other thing he taught me what mike job every day was not the end result and that kind of confuse me an awful lot that's not the end result what is that he said well you want to could end result quality productive to be but you're taught there tuesday listed do the best you couldn't yeah and so i call him to work everyday could do my job and that's the best record that's a good way to put it what is you know job to do on the al best that you can like that that's my job yeah that's a great way to do it that that doing the best that you can and at some is what he's talking about that showed up all like that what the task whatever sweep before or welker fabric cater painter you just you do the best you can and that's how you think he you know the exceed the custom expectation reminds me what i what the godfather speak to and because the company was spiraling down word to it bank reps eight we had to fix service service is one of those things that we needed to fix within the company so we came up with this concept that if you make a mistake making the pete so if the customer complained don't just fixed the complaint exceed that expectations let me given example i have a neighbor who went to one of the restaurants in omaha when i was living and that he had a lot of the pizza for takeout he gets to the restaurant they had dropped is all up on the floor and did make his pizza so he had to wait until they make the pizza.
