U.S.-Taliban Peace Deal Under Threat From Renewed Violence

"The violence in Afghanistan resume just days after the U. S. and the Taliban signed a deal to end the war there on Wednesday US drone attack the group in retaliation for a series of attacks on Afghan troops and yesterday at least thirty two civilians were killed dozens injured when Afghan gunmen opened fire in Kabul the self proclaimed Islamic state or ISIS claimed responsibility for that attack Seth Jones as a counterterrorism expert at the center for strategic and International Studies Mr Jones thanks for being with us it's great to be on thanks the deal was signed last weekend has already failed no it hasn't failed yet but I think we're at the period where it's going to be most difficult where the Afghan government now which is feuding within itself over who's actually running the government has to find a solution with the Taliban I think this will be the most difficult period by far is can we get any sort of agreement between the Afghan government and the Taliban Canley I think that the challenge so far is that most of the senior Taliban leadership led by block inside a secure Razzaq any of the senior officials I find it very hard to believe that they'll have fought for eighteen years only to agree to a situation where they're serving in an Afghan government led by someone like president Ghani I I think they're going to want to ask for a lot and I don't see at this point a lot of opportunity and and position where where the two will agree but we'll have to see we usually ask for a lot a return to some of the practices for which the Taliban were known when they ruled Afghanistan I'm thinking of that but the practical incarceration of women and not permitting women in schools yeah they they I mean that the Taliban of today is a different organization from the Taliban of the nineteen nineties that so that ran the government up through nine eleven they have a slightly modified ideology but they still have a pretty harsh position towards women they still have a harsh position toward women serving in government positions what what how people can dress but I think most importantly they have expressed a willingness to run the government and I think that will be something that the current Afghan government is not going to be willing to accept I have to ask is the U. S. so determined to bring home U. S. troops especially in an election year that the Taliban really has little motive to stop their attacks hi I think that's certainly true I mean I what what I suspect the Taliban is doing right now and and my conversations with both current and former Taliban officials indicate that they're keeping options open if they assess that they can get a U. S. withdrawal now through talks that's great if not they will continue to fight and their control of territory has increased a bit over the past couple of years so they're they're winning on the battlefield yeah and a half minute we have left fewer adviser to the U. S. military in Afghanistan what would you advise them to help make a deal work well I would advise that the US has a backup plan in case the negotiations between the Afghan government and the Taliban fall apart and I think in particular what does the US need to keep pressure on terrorist organizations like al Qaeda in the Islamic state in Afghanistan and what is the U. S. objective also doesn't want to prevent a collapse of the Afghan government if so it's going to need some military resources to prevent a

Stone unturned? Trumps adviser on trial

"As the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump continues. The start of the trial of his longtime associate is likely to provide him with more discomfort comfort laundry stone flamboyant and controversial political strategist own for using aggressive tactics discredit losing candidates. He's worked As a campaign advisor to a number of Republican presidents including Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan stone formed a relationship with the current president for decades ago. He I advised Mr trump to run for the White House in one thousand nine hundred eighty eight but all the polls are showing that I win or do very well in this election. I'm not happy with what's happening. In the country that friendship mentorship torsion even was the focus of 2017. Netflix documentary called. Get Me Roger Stone. Those who say I have no soul. Those who have no principles are losers serve. Those are bitter losers. Mr Jones. EXACT ROLE IN MR TRUMP's 2016 campaign has long been a source of speculation particular over his contact with wikileaks the release of material about presidential contender. Hillary Clinton in January this year. Mr Stone was indicted by Robert Mueller. The special counsel on seven counts they include obstructing an official proceeding witness tampering and making false statements to Congress about his communication with wikileaks and the trump campaign lead. Not Guilty to these charges. I will defeat them at CNN. HAD BEEN SO SURE MR stones indictment was coming to the network had a camera team outside his the house when the FBI turned up for dramatic early morning rest. This is what the first sounds that. Roger Stone woke up to this morning was the FBI pounding on his his door and shouting John Faz. Men Are. Washington correspondent had a similar hunched to C. N. N.'s. But he made his move a month earlier. I reached out to Roger Stone because I had sensed that his indictment was possibly coming and I wanted to hear from him before he went undercover. As it works I wrote him an email. I said I would be down in Fort Lauderdale one weekend soon. If he's free for lunch take him out and And he accepted house lunch. The lunch was a blast. He is in entertaining storyteller. He's charming he's funny. He has a ton of stories. It was a two hour lunch. That felt very fast. Okay before we get into the lunchtime conversation Let's go through with. The charges are against him. He is facing seven charges. Five of them. Uh are making false statements to congressional investigators. One of them is obstructing government proceeding and one of them is witness tampering I believe he tried to get randy. Credit Co who is a longtime friend of his New York radio show host and a sort of as outrageous on the left is as stone is on the right. He tried to induce credit co into not testifying and I think he you threatened to kidnap Randy credit goes dog. Roger Stone's pled not guilty to all of those charges. How how is the dog? I think the dog's fine critical appeared. He did testify. He showed up with his dog. He was photographed with the dog outside the Capitol. It's a I think the dog is a little white dog named Bianca. Last I heard Bianca was fine. Okay okay all these charges that Mr Stone faces have to do with Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian interference. Is that right yes. Roger Stone presented himself to the trump campaign campaign as a conduit to wikileaks. He said he was in touch with. Julian assange now after the investigation started. He said that in fact he wasn't that was all bluff and posture turn hype and that all he had been doing monitoring wikileaks as twitter. Feed Robert Muller's indictment says that that's not true in that he was actually in touch through a cut out with wikileaks. And what are the stakes. Here what would happen to Mr Stone if he were found guilty These are serious charges. He faces serious prison time if he goes down for these sixty seven years old and that's Facing years in prison at that age is no picnic. You say he was a charming guy with lots of stories. I mean the public persona of Roger Stone is. He's a kind of Kenny often. Cutting political operative to did you get a sense from him about how he operates when you spoke to him. Well he is a political operative the stories that I liked most. He got gotTa start in Connecticut Politics. He's from Norwalk Connecticut. which is which is down along the coast and he said for his his first campaign for Connecticut? State Senator Who on the train platform is a commuter town into New York? Norwalk is and he would be there in the morning with fliers for his candidate and fresh coffee and then he would be either in the evening with fliers for his candidate and freshly mixed Martinis. It was such a a charming portrayal of a bygone world of political campaigning. But that's where he got a start but I mean this this kind of charming and gracious stuff is not really what he's been known for in in more recent decades. No No. He's a dirty trickster. And he's the first one to admit admit that he's a dirty trickster I think he hone those skills working for Nixon's campaign which is famous for using those sorts of tricks. That's his specialty. That's the sort of thing he does. There's and he's he's really unabashed about it so his his ties then to to president trump. I mean how far back do they go so he is known. Donald Trump for forty years. Their connection goes back to Ronald. Ronald Reagan's nineteen eighty campaign in New York Stone arranged a visit to New Hampshire by Donald Trump in nineteen eighty eight. When he was initially flirting with running for president he was connected with the campaigns? In in in ninety six and two thousand I think it was when when trump sought the reform party nomination and his connection to the to the two thousand sixteen campaign pain starts quite early on to so he has no trump for for a very long time but on the other hand the investigation the Muller reports when it's somewhat by now in in the rear view mirror I mean. How much do you think Mr Trump and his team will be will be watching this trial? How much do you think could change the story as we now know it reopened that chapter? I mean I think they would. They are going to be watching can get very very closely. It's true that the report is done but there was a lot of of stone activity in the Muller report that was redacted what I assume is Roger Stone activity that was redacted and it may well come out this trial. I think there are a couple of things that that the trump campaign will be worried about number one. The trials should show whether Roger Stone was in fact talking to wikileaks and whether when he said he wasn't that was all bluff and posture that that was that was in fact the bluff and number two is whether whether Donald Trump lied Robert Muller. You'll remember that trump did not sit down for a verbal interview with Robert Me answered written questions and answer to one of those questions actions. He said that he didn't recall discussing wikileaks with Roger Stone. You may get some testimony from Steve Bannon and Rick Gates about that and so if I were at trump trump camp I would be watching this trial very nervously. And what about Mr Stone himself when you met him. What did he say about the possibility that he would get caught up in Mr Melissa investigation? Well all I ask them exactly that question at lunch and he said it's a it's a line that I still remember. He said I don't worry. I make other people worry whether he would repeat that line today as his trial looms. I don't know but it was a it was a wonderful bit of bluster at the time About the substance of the charges. He had a very. I want to get this quote. Exactly right from transcript. What he said is there is no evidence or proof and no one can honestly say that I had advanced notice of the source or the content? The exact release date of the wiki leaks material either stolen or I should say allegedly stolen and allegedly hacked to my mind that is a very lawyerly. Non Denial Denial He also said during our lunch that you know his testimony before the House Intelligence Committee was basically truthful and he may have said some things that were wrong but they were immaterial and inconsequential in the indictment against him alleges. That's not not the case that his false statement for both consequential immaterial well regardless of what happens with this trial and and presuming. Mr Stone is available to take lunch dates. Would you take with them in a heartbeat anytime. Why is that because he has? He has good stories and he has a central role in this in this drama. That's unfolding right now. He has insight he has history talk about. He's an interesting conversationalist John. Thank you very much for joining

"The team that I felt like did not have very glaring area of need and didn't sufficiently address it. And that's the Houston Texans. Basically. They just got screwed. So they they were at twenty three I'm gonna say at twenty three. And as the draft shaking out you knew what they wanted to do which was to take Andre Dillard, then boom, Howie Roseman trays up grabs under Dillard at twenty two. And I cannot imagine what the mood was like in the Houston war room when that happened. And I'm speculating here who I don't actually know for a fact they wanted under the necessarily. But given the fact that with an expert they took Titus Howard, the former quarterback high school quarterback turned which is great turn. And I'm sure we'll hear about it a lot. If he starts turned tackle of tackle. Which is been such such a story. Area of need for Houston. It just feels like they had to settle for a player who should not have been drafted at that position. And I think you combine that with a couple of things, right? Like, we went into this knowing like you said that offense of line was such an area for need for them. And the two guys they take high in this draft our Titus Howard as you mentioned and Matt Scharping a northern Illinois. Who again is another guy that looks like he could be something. But in an NFL where nowadays, I don't know the development timeline, especially at offense of Lyon has really shortened based on how long coaches get to produce billow. Brian doesn't seem like a guy that might be going anywhere right now based on the offensive success. This team has managed to have. But like offense of Lima just don't develop quite as well anymore. There are a lot fewer good coaches. You've got so much less time. I know this is kind of a broken record that you've heard me time and time again, but it's like man you need to protect Shawn Watson now and that offense of line was awful last year. And I don't feel like plane. He couldn't get plane. I'm star. We keep her being that. But it's so unacceptable when your quarterback literally get on get on a plane. And I think that's why Dillard people wanted him so much because he's probably he was probably the most polished alcohol, obviously, John Williams is there, but certainly in that conversation. He really was. And I guess that's the perplexing part. Is you needed finished products in the Houston more than you needed most things, and you need it on the offensive line? And you took two guys pretty far apart where the replenish of other prospects that were probably cleaner that came from more reputable programs that could have provided you with a more ready made guy right away. And you instead went for the guys that are going to require a little bit of development. And I didn't think that's what you needed you needed. Plug and play guys that we're going to give you a chance to be a starter or a competent backup right now in order to make sure that your quarterback could actually ride the plane this year. So I'm just gonna burn quickly through my perplexing choices. Indianapolis really liked their production running back last year and Frank Reich comes from a place in Philadelphia where they had no problem using multiples of that position and shuffling guys in and out. And especially when you've got the benefit of an offensive line full of fully grown. With bad intentions ends up being a pretty solid recipe to continue to take off Andrew luck. Like, they did final was good. It's Adam was. Living. I'm bill. They don't have a running back. And I was like wait about Marlin was had lot of yards after contact like he was he's a good bag. Maybe he's not like a top ten running back. But he provides them very competent play at the position. All right. My last winter and before we get to the perplexing choices. How do they keep doing this? So they get Nikial Harry why which is busy. We thought they would target and earlier about like Lamar Jackson. That's that's that's the knock on that was the knock on Nick. You'll Harry super powerful guy super strong after the catch, and I you know, him and Brady of rec league, I think or certainly has the potential to and then they get Joe on Williams lay in the second round. So this is like a snake answer a politician trying to have both ways the first round of the raiders draft was very perplexing to me. Then it got good. Okay. And when I say God good, and I was just talking with the nice part. I you know, they took Trayvon Mullen from Clemson who just shredded championship right in your remember in to get him a forty I think in a need for them was a great twice the third round. They got in Tokyo Brown, including that. So I like some of the decisions that they made Isaiah Johnson out of Houston and other cornerback. I liked very late fourth round. So very nice. But early on they take clone Farrell at the fourth pig that was really a shock. And I think it was forgotten. Amidst the Daniel Jones fear, but I didn't see a single board. The probably is once they don't send it to me. But whatever I didn't see aboard that had him there. I think everybody was shocked. They took him over Allen. Josh was a twenty four seemed like a reach even though I thought he would end up raider and Jonathan Abrams twenty-seven, I really do. "Kind of in the same vein big downhill runner one cut guy in an offense that loves to run the ball as often as they do thought. It was interesting considering a nice late round flyer and Gartner mid who's if nothing else fascinating to me because of his fantastic mustache and his proximity to Mike Leach, but in an era where we're seeing I read quarterbacks get a chance he's a six one kid. So he's small, but you're right could develop into a pretty solid back of their given the circumstances. The Josh Allen thing is interesting because I think when he fell to them after the damage we were all like in recovery from the Daniel Jones pick when it happened. And I think we all agreed. And by we I mean, those of us in the show that probably the Jaguars retargeting Joan Williams and then Josh Allen falls into lap. And they just have to take the best player bailable because he so so so talented schematically it's not what I kind of envision as being the perfect fit for him. They do run a four three. I saw him more of his three four outside linebacker. But I think because of the nature of the talent they have on the line you. Claes Campbell's, obviously still there. I think he's replacing Dante valor in this game. I imagine I think I think it'll be smooth her than it would have been if he had gone to a four three elsewhere. But it'll be curious. I'm curious to see, you know, if they if they use them in different ways, we've talked a lot just sort of about how versatile he is. I was the only knock I have on Jacksonville. Mike is just I thought they would take more weapons for foles because that wide receiver group is pretty thin. They did grab a tight end which is an area of need in the third round. Josh at a San Jose State. Who's kind of like a possession Kibe session receiver? You know? We'll see I know I kind of thought that's where they would go. But yeah, I mean there I do like it. When teams doubled down on what they're really good at. And this is a team that's doubling down on defense team. Well, it's a team that win a different direction. But I'm gonna choose a winner who's a human being. And that's our Jackson. Okay. So going into the strap I think we were there were questions about that. The rains might actually take a quarterback earlier than people thought there's questions about how strongly they felt about Lamar Jackson other their stories coming up before the draft about like all the ravens are so thrilled with Jackson's work and development is off season, which I think should have tipped us off that they were very committed to him and kind of wanting the world to know. And then they definitely showed the world how competitive where to him with the twenty fifth pick they traded down, and they get Hollywood Brown. The Sean Jackson look-alike acolyte play. Like a lot of people thought was the best wide. Receiver in the draft, certainly the fastest. And then a few later after Jalen, Ferguson, they take Myles boykin, very different style. Receivers super physical guys super us leg different skill set. And after that, they take Justice hill just east. No Justice Justice L, it's with ac- so could go who was the fastest back in the draft. So I look at their draft the early rounds in I see skill players for Jackson, and I just see speed. They are doubling down on speed. Which is when you got when you have a guy in Jackson where the question, Mark. I think his accuracy, but he can throw a deep ball. It makes a lot of sense to me that they chose guys who can separate for him, absolutely miles. Boykin is a guy that obviously Notre Dame guy. So my Homer showed a little bit. But when you talk about all, right? We know what marquees Brown is. He's a guy that absolutely lifts little off what miles boykin is a guy who's gonna catch everything monster catch radius if it weren't for decay Metcalf. He would have been the story as far as test. Fi non from the combine and imagined it with a ton of production. He was great back shoulder guy with Ian book at Notre Dame in college. So between that even a little added protection and insurance along the interior with Ben powers one of the Oklahoma offense of lineman..

I just try to deal this quickly. Because man is a lot of things that could shake before. Then I don't think deck is going to force the issue. Mike on a Russell Wilson style top of the market contract. Maybe I'm wrong. Optimally? I think for Dallas they would get more of like a Jimmy Garoppolo. You can get out of it a little easier situation. But you never know you just never know how these guys value themselves and their tactics. I think from just from a value perspective. That's what he should get. I don't know. What do you think I assure you could see it'd be one of those? I think numbers wise, it's going to be anywhere near the well, I shouldn't say that it'll be closed because Jerry Jones is kind of insane and operates under. He said he was going to make it. I mean, just come out great negotiation tactics, Jerry John deal. But no, the Dallas contracts tend to be a little longer when you look at a couple of big money deals. They paid out recently Zack Martin Tyron Smith, they tend to be a little longer than the normal market deals, and maybe you can punch them that guaranteed money near the front in the first three years. Like, you said so you can get out of it towards the back end if you need to and probably go from there. So I wouldn't be surprised if we saw maybe a little longer, but also for hopefully, less money than the Russell Wilson's and Aaron Rodgers the world because I want to believe that Justice still exists. "Maybe you can be your backer, fears, whatever the other comes. He comes in is really good. And you've got the guy you're paying him nothing. That's awesome. The other outcome. And this is the one I think people are worried about is he comes in. And he's okay. And they win like staffing array games. And then it's like, well, what if we jeopardized fish tank, and we got this guy. And we don't really know we have an and he's not that great. I still think if that happens, Mike, they can go up and grab too. I mean, it's gonna take potentially it could take some trays up some extra draft capital. But my feeling is the potential benefit the upside of the Rosen pick makes that cost worth it. I would absolutely agree. I think because of the financials you just mentioned what you ended up getting up for it was so hard to pass up for a guy that most people when they tell you in our honest despite how much the cardinals struggled last year. You'd pop the tape and see exactly what you saw UCLA got him. Drafted in the first round, which is a guy succeeding in spite of what's around him more often than not a guy, despite the fact that wasn't protected either level and guy despite the fact that all he had swirling around him. I mean think about this it UCLA he had a different offense coordinator every year for three years, and then he gets to the NFL and Mike McCoy gets fired midway through the season as the offensive coordinator there. I'm Byran left which takes over. So he's on his fifth offense coordinator in in four years. That's insane. Very few people if any are going to succeed in those circumstances. So now, you come here, and you at least get the benefit of. All right. Well, they'll be some stability. And this is still a guy we believe can play great football. He's just never really been put it put him position to do. So. And you know, doesn't walk into the best situation apps. But yeah. So that that's the only other thing is like are we going to be able to accurately judge him. There's some pros and cons to this. I actually think our was awesome. The speedster receiver. They got custody. Devante parker. Hopefully, they'll be able to now that don't get him back in the mix. Still like Kenny stills the line should be better. They were destroyed last year. They actually took the Wisconsin guard. Do love Michael leader. Michael Michael beater, big time big ten offense lineman of the year two thousand eighteen and they've committed to this coaching staff which out O'Shea the patriots wide receiver coach. So there's some positives. But it's not going to be perfect. It's not pretty so it's not like he's walking into Philadelphia something you'll be able to tell immediately. Whether he's the guy so hopefully patients in all things fish tank related. Speaking patients before we get some mail bag. I want mother's day. So growing up. I'm sure everybody did what I did on mother's day which was panic at the last second because you've got to buy gifts and put together a book of coupons like free hug free kiss stuff. Your mom ever you done the coupon thing like I have not. Done the coupon thing. No, my only mother was giving my mom with my dad and brother a massage chair that she rejected because she knew we bought it just for our own. Use the Homer Simpson bowling bowl strategy. Well, look don't don't don't be that guy..

"I thought he was definitely a guy. He's a he's a developmental guy. He's a high upside quarterback with an incredible arm who has struggled at times with processing and very very athletic. And I and I don't know. I don't know if it'd be best for him to be kinda thrust into the fire like that. It's going to be tough. Because the problem is the offense. He came from in Missouri was especially before Derek Dooley. Got there and his last season for the years prior to that. It was remedial we talked to Dan Orlovsky law. Obviously, one of our great college NFL. Analysts here. But also a former quarterback, and he saw the same things we did. Which is it was kind of a numbers game for a while. Like, you were just basically asked to do basic math as a quarterback and look at the box. And if there was too many people you throw it to the outside and let an athletic receiver make plays and one year kind of trying to remedy that after all of that programming becomes tough. And so you're still kind of have to go in and I think breaks bad habits when you get to the NFL. So quarterback on talk about before we get to mailbag. Is really I don't wanna say to steal because I don't think that's quite it. But Miami gives up the sixty second pick for Josh Rosen. And because Aaron a- there's actually there's a bunch of trades. It's kinda complicated. The dolphins traded down with New Orleans. So they give the saints to the forty eighth and the one sixteenth pick. And they get back sixty two zero to twenty twenty second round, which is nice. And then they send the sixty second pick and a fifth rounder to rezone ah. So in aggregate, they gave up forty eight one sixteen and this twenty twenty late round pick for Rosen and a second rounder and to sorry that probably added no value to anyone's life, and I'm sorry for spending time talking about that. But what's really nice is? Because errors ONA had to eat a lot of. Dead money on Rosen signing bonus. Here's how much the dolphins are paying for him over the next reasons. One point three million two point one million two point nine million. That's a cheap backup, Mike. They don't just have a backup. They have a guy with like incredible upside. I mean, if you're Miami fan like how do you feel too? I mean as good as you felt in a long time Miami's existed in this sort of purgatory for awhile, right? I mean their quarterback situation. There has been so up in the air just because of all the injury. That's been a part of that spot. We had the Jay Cutler experience because of that which very cavalier fan. I'm extremely thankful for because it kept Jay out of the booth and got him into the world of reality television. But if you're looking at it from the Ryan tannehill prison when Adam gates there, you never really got an accurate sense of who he was and since then they obviously decided to move on. But you've at least, and I know you've been kind of the leading the charge on this is a fan of the fish tank model this offseason Meena, but it seems like plan in Miami. And this adjustment is just that. It's a solid adjustment based on a really low risk for all the reasons you just mentioned. So I'm glad you brought a fish tank because some of my fellow fish tankers. I think our little bit concerned. We'll what if Josh Rosen comes around and messes around and wins, if you games, and I think there's a few ways checkout one. Is he comes in, and he sucks, and then you're cool. "So that's kind of an insane wrinkled this too. Yeah. Okay. Let me throughout this nightmare scenario. Giants fans earmuffs because. Let's say dangle Joe's and play you lie Succoth and the giants finish. I dunno whatever three and thirteen or something and they get a top draft pick. They're not gonna take to. They're not gonna take nerve. They're not gonna take one of those aforementioned quarterbacks because they're gonna cling to the notion that Daniel Jones the guy and they're going to waste another year of being in draft position to make the right choice. Everything they've done is just the timing of. It is what's so bananas might right? It's like they've made all of these decisions at exactly the wrong time based on personnel and talent available. And that's I think what's. So what's so shocking? And I think it's okay to judge based off that right? Like, the one thing people keep pointing out. Dave Gettleman points out is well, we'll see how crazy I am in three years. He can absolutely prove all wrong in that time if Daniel Jones goes and balls out like Daniel Jones were to somehow come in and play freakishly. Well, we would all look bad, and it would completely render all those things meaningless. But that doesn't change the fact that where it sits right now, it can still be viewed as a questionable decision in the moment. I always push back on that idea. People say, well, you can't really judge draft right now. Well, based on where people have guys sitting in the general attitude. Yes, you can absolutely judge opinions. The way you allocate resources the way you forecast future value. That's not a crime. That's what we're here to do. I know right. It's like the draft right now. We didn't catch anything like. Literally, all we're doing is trying to make predictions and judgments based on how we think the future is going to play out. So we'll see I look forward to being part of a montage of idiots decrying Jones pick. Let's play it in the thirty for thirty. What if I told you that an idiot woman screamed the giants? I hope I'm not I in a montage. That's all that's all. I ask. But Joe Joe button, edges me out. But. Okay, pick. We liked which is also hilarious because it came from a team that we did not know one. I think in our draft room, we call a draft our show expected to like anything they did based on the Scotto. But we were hearing about owner gained Snyder getting getting medicine, and this is this was his guy to which is the only thing that makes me really nervous about Snyder wanted him. But dwayne. So we're we're going through the draft. We're getting to Washington we're all looking at each other like twin asking still on the board. And we saw the video by the way of him laughing. When the giants began does that video is going to go before my video if there's a montage of mocking videos penniless falls into the Redskins lap at fifteen fifteen right? What's your first reaction? My first reaction is the complete opposite is man for all the talk. We heard about Daniel Snyder who famously traded a king's ransom to go up and get Robert Griffin. The third of the top of the draft in two thousand twelve being able to have the patience to sit there and say, no, we believe we can get our guy, and you obviously risk losing at that point, which we know is dangerous. If you believe he's your guy, but to get him out of Al you we know there was like you said before not a consensus about who the top quarterback was in this draft class. If he was one of them in a down quarterback class to be able to get either the one air the one b guy at fifteen overall seemed like a coup. And I really liked this fit even though Jon Gruden. Jay Gruden reportedly wanted Joan who knows if any of that is true, right? We always hear like oh every team in the draft wanted. Russell wilson. Yeah. They who knows. But. Even if you wanted to some of the stuff he came out afterwards, and you were talking about the fit with Haskins..

Well, okay. So we're gonna talk about that, obviously. And I thought maybe verse show we talk a little bit about just the quarterbacks when they were taken some of this.
