"Welcome back everyone to the broken court. Podcast episode to who. I'm dan aaron jake and right. Now i'm gonna throw it over to my man aaron for our toast since it's real close to valentine's day. I thought i would give a valentine's toast one of those cheesy almost greeting card. Esque toast hallmark. Here's here's to you. So roses are red violets are blue. Don't get me flowers bourbon. Will do cheers. cheers everyone. Damn let's get stuff so right now. World bourbon news. Going around out of new rift still company out of newport kentucky. Something that's kind of Near and dear to my heart. Since i do work in the world fast food. They're doing something really cool for all of us New riff is putting out a fifteen year. Straight bourbon whiskey. they're calling. i believe it's called. Relief is bottled in bond. Just like all of their other products. Distilled in indiana. By what what we can only think is mvp. Because they're the only ones. I think are going to have the stocks that are up there in fifteen years and i think it is. Gp wouldn't surprise me. The barrels were purchased out of mvp and again that's all speculative but they were stored at their warehouse with the remainder of their time and this run is limited to just nine hundred if not less only to be distributed out of their distillery for the price of two hundred dollars. I think i tweeted about that. Too on the burkan broken corker twitter page to if you wanna if you wanna get in more in depth about it. I believe he did. But that two hundred dollars is going to go to benefit Restaurant workers around the ohio and kentucky area. I believe that release is going to benefit. Both the ohio restaurant employee relief fund and the northern kentucky chamber of commerce who's in charge of distributing the funds to people who need it the most for more on that you can check us out on facebook at the broken court crew is our facebook group or you can follow new riff on all of their social media for more information on that release. And i'm sure it's going to be amazing man. I think you know what a great especially this time of year. What a great a cinnamon for them to do. I mean cove is really hit. That service industry pretty hard. It's ruined a lot of people and you don't see a lot of people talking about i. Understand nurses and doctors are at the forefront of all of this kovin but they don't talk a lot about like like your fast food workers who have been working throughout the entire thing. I mean i've been fast food. I have not stopped working since covert started. Yeah and i mean. God bless all the frontline workers as far as medical is concerned because they are. They're in close contact. All that like i said are the forefront of all of this but you rarely hear about anyone else you know. Keeping america fed keeping america clothed. Everything like that. So big shout out to all our healthcare workers and big shoutout to all our fast food workers. Anyone who's working retail right now and all of our truckers keeping everyone delivered to and everyone stocked up so we can get through this together. Definitely a big shout to the truckers. So we have a new segment on the show. And i want mr jake over there to take it over. Oh yeah this is our new segment. It's called what's cracking so basically what it is. We give a shoutout to whatever we've had since last podcast. Something's good something you drink and right now something you wanna tell everybody about to me. It was new roof winter whiskey. I tried that a good friend at a bar. Bought that around for actually me and dan and you talk about unbelievable. That's one of the best new products i've had. It really really is. I haven't had very many and of what i've had it. It's up there. I really so good. It opened my eyes to new roof and made me wanna do a little bit more research into their products. And then i mean on top of all of that. We found out about this thing that you just talked about the fifteen year. Oh yeah what's cracking for you. So what's cracking for me. I've had a couple of new bottles. I'm gonna give a couple of honorable. Mentions i never had seventeen ninety. Two bottle in bonn. I know very very strange. But i had that and it's delicious. If you can get your hands on bottle relatively cheap. I paid forty five ninety nine for man. I think that's right around retail so also from french. Lick indiana lead w sinclair four grain. It's called the iconoclast It's a four product from them. What happened long story short. They had three barrels. That were of the league w sinclair that. We're just a little off. They didn't say whether it was a good offer a bad off. They just said it was often. So they mix those three bottles together and made the iconoclasts. But the one. I really really wanna talk about is the o. H ingram whiskey It is from brown water. Bourbon company out of nashville. Where the whisky comes from. What happens with it. It's really cool. They on the mississippi river in an o o h ingram. Born and so really. Yeah so they have Redone this barge completely rick house out of it and so what

"Eight nine three. It is monday november. Thirty that cyber monday right. We had thanksgiving normally like a normal thanksgiving right but we did it with my in laws at this restaurant and outside secluded wearing masks and it was one of those where they brought our food out. But it wasn't. My family was bombed that there wasn't leftovers so what we did last night. He's kind of had thanksgiving where with a little bit more food so we had leftovers for today so last night my sisters families did with us. 'cause los angeles is a series lockdown and mice. We went around the table saying we're we're thankful for and he got pretty emotional but who got to my niece. She was thankful for black friday shopping because they went to nordstrom rack and in la. You do that where they live. That's all lockdown in my. My niece was interesting because everybody got into these very like our health or whatever. My niece got down to like listen the fact that i go to north surrounding also that today cyber monday like today's the day you know we still we still looking for. Ps five we did get an xbox. I saw that i was like how. How did they do family. My son jake is so right now dialed into the underbelly of what's going on with xbox when they drop and so he had a lead that they were dropping at nine o'clock on thursday or friday on thanksgiving night all everybody had everybody had their foes open and everybody had already put their credit cards down on the in it's opening account and walmart and on the app and it everybody in my family was boom trying to get it trying to get trying to get in touch cotton. Oh that's awesome. It turned out that my wife said turns out that they only let you have one per household so it didn't matter so like all of us were i don't know if they can i don i he address or something else and then i had someone. Tell me that the best way to do. It is have your laptop open and you're on an logging on your laptop and then have your app open and then put it on your car on your laptop. An ex out on your on your app. They said that's the best way to do it so we still need other. Xbox appears five and that's and then we'll finally be happy with my house impossible to find the ps five. I mean i can tell you every time they say there's a drop it's like seconds later at sold out until you got to do what i just told you. Laptop in it'll help is way harder to get them the xbox you saw the sony. Ceo saying that because of covert they haven't had as many people on their production line so there's not a whole lot more to get but then he said for sure they will drop more before the holidays so unlike well where and when mr jake has the inside on. He's he's like he's like drop it today. Seven we were ready to go and those are gone. The dropping in nine. They're dropping a midnight and the whole families. Op trying to go camp out. Because i know some to in eagle scout. I got a tent game stops. We're all supposed to have at least two for every store. But by the time i was like yeah there's probably already to people in line. Exactly they said there's one at the target by your house like by the time. I get their way no way anyway so is that how was your thanksgiving. I think good. I was actually kind of okay with not seen family playing it safe because a covert But then when it actually came down to thanksgiving day. Mr baby and i were like pretty upset we were. It was just us to the dogs and we had so much leftover from our friends giving so we had a ton of food but it was still like. Oh we wish we were with their parents right now and my mom was fine with the before two until the day. The night of thanksgiving she was like. We're never doing this again. I want you here. I wanna see you and staying with mr babies parents. It was like kind of sad was like we're we're grateful for our health and everything but thanksgiving was not the same and we got really emotional to the point where. I like facetime with mom for three hours. I didn't feel like it. Because that's how much i missed her. My mom we've been on facetime for three hours. I think we're good. I think it's time to go to bed. Yet was so weird. Because i don't think i've i think i've skipped one one holiday with my family ever and it was like just me and my husband and my two kids and it was like just a regular day and it was like i wanna be thankful because it's a day of gratitude and it is like everyone in our family is pretty healthy. My niece got kovin. And she's doing okay and there's really so much to celebrate and be grateful for but to not be with my entire family. It was just such a bizarre feeling. But we zoomed together and then at one point during the zoom. It wasn't even maybe like twenty thirty minutes in. We all love each other. Like this is weird. Let's just go. She's not even the same all right. We'll we'll plan together by so far. I thought the one thing that would save the day and make it somewhat. Exciting is i actually ordered a patio table and i was thinking we were going to eat outside and it came early and i opened the box and this thing had the biggest hole in it like the table. The table cement. I know how this happened. There was a giant hole as if someone shot a bazooka through the top or something like that to go design. No done telling the story gone. Its vertebral kyle. Didn't have an umbrella whole blake. That all the time and i was like okay. I know the drill took pictures. I called customer service. I got you a heater and it was broken. Lady looked like mike tyson literally. Cj sleep it was like i talked to the lady. She's like did you take pictures of malaya. Send me the email. She sends me the email. Email the pictures on the phone. She goes. Wow that is bad like how many times. She's seen something that damaged in for her to say. Wow that's bad and to top it off. She was like okay. So what we're gonna do is we're going to issue a refund. I'm like can we just get a replacement. The table sold out. Like oh man first world problems. What a bummer. It's okay we made. We made our regular size table. One of those freaky besides back broken to return your table. I'm awaiting to get an email. She's like you're so gross. John of.

"We are celebrating excellence and podcasting speaking of excellence I'm here in the audible winner circle with the winner of best music Mr Jake Brandon from dis grace land Jack congradulations trick so I know you but I was wondering if you could tell the uninitiated how do you get in the podcasting because you've been working in sound for a long time working in music for a long time decided I wanted to hear music podcasts that combined not just music but also my other true love which is true crime brand that podcast thankfully didn't exist so I kind of made it yeah it's a it's an amazing show are there any that it gets dark sometime this real dark are there any stories too dark for you to tell like I've always wondered how did al Yankovic come to be known as weird **** out like that's kind of yeah this some dark weirdness writers are saying her yeah I think he was rooting for the two brothers back in the day his thing was just horribly off right yeah yeah so what is similar between the worlds of punk rock and podcasting nothing nothing at all through the years probably maybe yeah groups right the mosh pits violent lust watch for its own cool and if you had a had to do a season about the ample dark underbelly of the podcasting world where would you look for I was start with I heart yeah I would start with a little show called the daily zeitgeist never heard of a I mean either but I've heard some strange things going on there yeah yeah let's let's a dark underbelly and and podcasts and explored okay is there a story that is not in the music world that you are like dying to tell yes yeah she has a podcasts the Mike Tyson story okay yeah but I don't wanna get you know yeah you don't give it away I don't get beat up right yeah yeah yeah that's true he's got an incredible story yeah credible story in its lustrous interns and is ended up somewhere completely different compelling yeah so how did you specifically go from the world of music and to podcasting like have it I had a brief stop at an ad agency okay and I realize that world was not for me okay at all so I quit before I was about to get fired red and or kind of this kind of debatable I guess and decided I wanted to try my hand at telling stories and thankfully it kind of worked out yeah we're all thankful you did now we're gonna get back to the awards thing thank you Jack here is their superstar musician friends the other houses how many for like the co hosts break into the street it's no secret.

"And investing with Ryan welcome back if you're just tuning in you Mr Jake rector instructed element and top instructor here demonstrating kept me really set light on what's going on in the market right now on our part the volatility side of things of the things we need to be focusing on as individuals in order to really turn these the the these times of volatility into opportunities rather than looking at them with with with with eyes of fear right so many times we you hear the word volatility that's like a curse word it's like all volatilities bad also he's good that's how we get paid right would you rather yeah the the story I always bring up when it comes the volatility and while like volatility is I'd rather get stopped out in ten minutes than ten years the whole the whole thing it in a trade I'd rather not sit there and have capital tied up doing nothing reddit rather the to be right or be wrong and the the story I always take it too is dating would you rather date somebody for like five years and I go to pop the question and then just be like I was really not that into you or would you rather like be halfway through your first cocktail and then saying you know what I really don't like your hair cut if I like your hair kind of really not unlike anything else about you it's like great we just had one cocktail we're able to spend a little bit of time together and now we know this isn't this is over and we can move in our own different directions that's volatility wouldn't waste time there right that's one of the things inside the markets people look at it in all its bad no it's good we can move on to the next opportunity right and then when you're right it also works out your favor that that same way so volatility all these different things at once you understand them they're not they're not these curse words are not these bad things anymore it's all about just simply understanding what's going on now I know we wanted to jump on to the to the income side of things in this segment really talk about this skills and abilities what it takes to generate more income inside of the financial markets you know we we kind of left that last segment with there's a right way and there's a wrong way there's a right way and there's a wrong way of doing everything is always amazing to me how even when it's not the financial markets really when it's everything the right way really usually ties into having somebody help you and having somebody who's already doing it you know show you how to do it I'm sure that's a little bit of your pride jump into Larry but there is there is always the right way and a wrong way of doing anything in the funny thing about the wrong way is most people do it because it's usually also that easy street process of well just do this this rather than doing it the right way I'll just go over here and take easy street and take my love from the school of hard knocks that you know the class colors are black and blue for a reason well look that's kind of true and everything in life because what people realize is that if you're just trying to find the short cut and by the way look there's no shortcut in life the only thing about realizes took you this long to get yourself financially into trouble to take a little longer to get yourself out of trouble but the problem is most people just become paralyzed they don't do anything they figure over the service work its way out well like I say are over and over again my favorite movies the pursuit of happiness the Will Smith portrayed Chris Gardner in the movie yeah Chris Carter's mother said it really really profoundly she said the cavalry ain't common and so the reality here is that people think the government's going to bail them out of the think that all the sun someone's going to magically appear with a bucket of money is like a little leprechaun at the end of the rainbow it doesn't happen that way and so what we have to do is we have to chip away at what makes sense and when I say the right way versus the wrong way as people realize their whole lives you got to work hard thinking they're gonna be working smart where in reality there dot did doing neither Ryan because the reality is they've got to start learning how to work right which means copping a learning from people who are already doing what you want to be doing in life and the only gonna do that is by getting out and learning from people who have this experience already experienced tops everything out there the site looking at your own jobs if you're listening right now the first day you went to work you probably weren't stellar but the problem is right now that you have to have a reality check an understanding that if you want to make more income K. the most you're gonna be able to do is get another job that major taking more more time away from your family because you have not learned the proper way of the right way to generate income which is making investments in allowing other people's money to help you generate what your goals are that's called leverage and so we teach our students right is this whole idea about how to properly manage risk that's key and that's a big differentiator because you've got a lot of people out there that have no clue they avoid risk at all costs as opposed to learning how to manage it the right way especially when it comes to their money and then secondly leverage the idea that you can be using other people's money to help you generate additional income is what millionaires have figured out a long time ago and they're not working hard they're not working harder they're working right yeah absolutely and there is a there there's an individual he's his name's Tom that my dad's construction company built built a home for it Tom taught me a valuable a valuable lesson I spread like fifteen or sixteen years old and he's done very well for himself a bill this beautiful home ever say and it's so amazing that you could pay cash for this you've done so well and you are the star struck teenager and and he said I I I mean I could but I never would and I was like well how to you know cash is king and I always heard all these little stories growing up all these little cliche statements and and and Tom I I don't even know if he knows how profound a lesson this was that he shared with me but he said you know I can borrow this money at about five percent to build this house and if I have investments that are making you know fifteen or twenty percent then it would actually cost me money to pay cash for this and I was like war mind blown of a sixteen year old but that's a lesson that I've held onto my entire life because it's all about having everything working the right way and having an optimal strategy optimal life strategy optimal financial strategy you know there's there's been individuals I ran into I ran into my life to say I I never borrow for anything it's like wow you know that that's a very difficult you know how about how how are you gonna buy a house you just gonna save up you know five six hundred thousand dollars or even depending on where you live maybe a couple hundred thousand dollars all wheel well no I would I would borrow for that cycle okay will you know it the other there's all sorts of kind of caviar excuses on why they would on some things but why they would on others when in reality it in less you just have this printing press to get a head you gotta start being creative you guys start being creative you gotta start doing like what you're saying Larry go start doing what the millionaires in the world to figure out a long time ago it's how to leverage all the resources in front of you and be smart and manage risk it's not about taking risks the amateur out there the un skill be unseasoned refers to it as taking risks so I don't like taking risks yes you understand what to do what you understand what to do it's all about managing risk and projecting yourself towards growth well ways where we can help you really open your eyes towards risk management right and seeing what that actually looks like it's getting out to one of our classes and we got a set of tickets we can do a quick little get away but Larry S. give me the thumbs up it's a thumbs up right now the class coming up in your area and this classes were if taught thousands just like you are padded core strategy which is designed to teach you how to make better investing decisions in just a second you have a chance to win a set of tickets one of our classes to get phones rating if you're driving.

"Janet, I think my phone was hacked or something Goco fifteen minutes could save you fifteen percent or more walkabout in a caddy we descended upon because of the caddy's Bryant's on the seventeenth tee box at Phoenix Open. So we got time with these guys after they played the sixteenth. So some of these are going to be an order some of these are going to be an adult border. But because Phil was first off at the pro on Wednesday. He got to us like an hour in what fifteen twenty minutes about a little over an hour and a half. Here's the thing. I don't know that fills ever done a podcast before. Yeah. So defected. Here's where he's smart. He loves going out. I like tiger. The reason is because you get nine holes in really fat the thing with this program was the pros only had to play nine holes genius. Because it was four amateurs. So phil. Played the back nine. So he gets us on seventeen tea and he's flying. There's no one in front of him. He's going to be done by eleven and which is awesome. He didn't have to. He honestly didn't have to spend any time with us at all. But he did. Yeah. And despite the microcosms filibuster. We had a great time. Enjoyed our first cover sage and Phil Mickelson and Jake Owen. How you hitting Mr. Jake Owen? I'm actually hitting a terrible j what ha what happened over there? Well, they asked me to put on a titans jersey right before I hit that shot all really really confined my beautiful offs waiver eight now now for those Jayco, and who don't know what the sixteenth like. Well. Sixteen is a is already. Good whole has put, you know, thousands of people around it. And then you pay yourself with Phil Mickelson who's telling you that you cannot hit it closer than him. Makes it a lot harder. The best is the intro fills intro. I can't lie. I'm so impressed by the intro music. Yours though, this all make cause I got brag for you. Just a little bit hit goes our man lefty was so Eminem lose yourself. The first time that I heard you play that coming out on sixteen hours like on believe. Credit through the roof. I actually really enjoy music. I listened to him quite a bit. And this is where I know. It's true. You know, why we know is true is because you coming out of the trainer out of the training trailer. It was playing and you didn't even see me. I saw you mouth in the words. And I was like this dude knows the lyrics to he's not. He's for real. What's the sixteenth hole like for you? Awesome. Awesome. Because we don't have anything like this in sport in golf. We have it in other sports, and we have that same amphitheatre arena. Type feel that you have an NBA game here in golf, which we don't ever get. And so it's such a unique environment that we really embrace it from from a Sunday to a sun devil. Love it when you come back here. What's it like being the Zona state guy? Come back every year this. It's the best to be from here to be a sun devil to be an have the support of the hometown crowd. Here means a lot because it can also be difficult. Right. So if you're not on their side. It can be a challenge. But it's I've always benefited from their support. It's mental authomy walk us through Jayco game. You know, he's got he's got a lot. He's scratched player. He can he can move it out there. He hits it a long ways and there's no substitute for speed in this game. And he's got a lot of speed got a great touch around the greens. Good solid player. Thanks for the thanks for this. What do you think that actually I'm done? I'm done here. You. All that going onto sixteen because he said, it was your fault. He was so nervous. Yeah. So well, he he was he was talking a little smack as we were walking over d-box. I like to do that. And he wanted to have a challenge, you know, tiger had some challenges challenge. Jake wanted to have a challenge on sixteen. So I we had close to the pin. Contest. And I say contest it wasn't. Well, long story short fill one. So. Driver. Go. Call your shot when you get up there, man. We'll see a little while. Yeah..

There's been a ton of mar stuff happening in the last couple of weeks. So I figured this is a good time to have you back on to break it down talk a little bit about what's going on with two different missions, and maybe gonna rant. If you see fit. Case. So maybe we can start with insight. So we've got a new spacecraft on Mars. You're probably pumped this probably made the end of your year. I would assume. Yeah. This really capped. What was a pretty busy Mars year? Like, I think back on this year getting close the end of it here by pretty tired. There was a lot. There's a lot going on between the launch and landing kind of book ending the year. And then all the Mars twenty twenty and opportunity stuff in the middle. This is that this is a good way kind of tied up for sure. And it's at least not also crazy now that the new spacecraft down because it's going to be a while until we really start getting insight stuff. Like frequently. I it seems like they have a much longer deployment phase than most missions. Is that something that that you've been thinking about it? All yeah. Well, I mean, they so there's sort of two things to consider that one of them is that we've never put instruments on the ground directly spacecraft. So this is kind of breaking ground, and there's an arm it's lifting off the deck of the Lander and putting them rate on the surface of the planet. And so that's a new thing. We've never done that. And they'll just kind of want it through those operations and finding a good spot for those is is one consideration that probably stretches out the the commissioning phase space. And then the other one is just this heat flow probe is the second instrument as I from the size Mahmut or is just like super weird. It's going to burrow into the ground. And it's got this little spring thing that just kind of slowly tap tap tap, five meters down. So it just takes a while to sort of a logistics thing. It's kind of amazing that there hasn't been more talk about that. Until like the day that the spacecraft was landing. I feel like people did not realize that we're sticking something that far into Mars. It elegant flew under the radar until all of the sudden people are like holy crap. That's like sixteen feet down there. Yeah. And there's all this bad coverage of conflicting with drill, and it's not a drill a little a little mole a little kind of just like this. Imagine this kind of foot long spike just kind of pulls a string with with heat sensors bind. So it's it's pretty interesting like say, it's pretty unique. I can't think of another instrument this on any other spacecraft, and so breaking new ground just takes time. There's going to learn a ton about Mars from inside itself. And there's gonna be a lot of research coming out of what insight finds, but I feel like something you always talk about is how new missions change what you learned from old missions. And I assume that's going to be the case here for insight as well. Maybe even a bigger degree than we have before where we're gonna get all this data about the inside of Mars and be able to put that up against what we learned from other missions. Is there any anything like that that you're hoping as that kind of synergy if in your wildest dreams? Yeah. That's a that's a great question. And I think you're pretty bang on with that what's pretty special about insight is that it will get global level data. Right. And so these seismic readings in these heat transfer readings will be able to let scientists model out. What Mars looks like kind of layer by layer all the way to the middle and that data..

"He's Bill writer and people. Can't stop listening this show writer than you make fun of the name. It's fine by parents do school that's her last name to and they still go after each writer than you on CBS sports radio back into the show, Bill Reiter with you. Join now by a friend of mine, a very talented writer and reporter recovers college football, four ESPN, he is based in beautiful Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where my brother is born Mr. Jake Trotter. Jake underscore Trotter on Twitter. Check them out at ESPN, Jake. What's up, buddy? Bill Ryder without buddy. How you doing? I'm living the dream. I got a real quick non-sports is pulling into the controversy. That's a to here. Thanks to Stefan curry. Yes. Or no Jake Trotter. Did we go to the moon? Course, we went to the mood. I don't know. What is it? What's up these NBA players in the world, the earth is flat. Now, we didn't go to the moon their board. Right. Like all this time to kill. And they're on Wikipedia ring. Reading conspiracy theories is my is my guess. Yeah. It these are millennials for the most part. So from that perspective. Not all that surprising J or shots fired at millennials. All right. Jake. You are a national college football expert for ESPN, but your base in Oklahoma. Obviously get a look at the Sooners a lot you cover them before you were there who is the better. Who was the better collegiate quarterback Cutler Murray or Baker Mayfield? So in my opinion, Baker Mayfield the greatest quarterback at OU football history, which is not insignificant because there's some great players and some past Heisman winners rapper Jason white. I Tyler Murray maybe had the greatest individual season, regardless of position in football history. Now some defensive guys in the Mets ROY Williams two thousand one LeRoy Selmon in the seventies. Rod show was unbelievable. Linebacker. You got Tommy McDonald all the way back in nineteen fifty five fifty six white when you crunch the numbers. And we've got some people do that with ESPN stats and info Tyler was worth about almost two touchdowns or gain more than the average quarterback in college football was and the average quarterback this season is better than we've ever seen it. So when you factor all of that in. Either may have been the most may have produced the most valuable quarterback these in in the history college football. He was unbelievable this year. I I had no I didn't think there was any way that that he was going to be able to replace Mayfield to this degree Mayfield stood a better quarterback because of the career is probably going to be callers season at OU. But in terms of a one season, I'm not sure we've ever seen anything like it or you before. And we may not see anything like it. Again, Jay Trotter on the show, Jake, assuming that let's just say the Karla Murray for the sake of argument goes against what Scott Boras has been screaming from the rooftops and just this imaginary scenario, poor sky doesn't get his ten percent of college baseball money, and he decides to go and play in the NFL. How does he compare to Baker Mayfield? How do you think? He just doesn't general best gas in the NFL. Yeah. You know in talking to some scouts about this. The the big difference between Baker in Keiler is. I mean Baker was considered small the NFL, right bakers. Like six foot, I know hundred and ten pounds. He was going into going into the combine Keiler is probably five nine one eighty and so his size would be unprecedented for an NFL quarterback. And I you know, I'm talking scouts. They would only value evaluate him as a quarterback. It's not like, you know, he'd play another position. He he would be a quarterback in. He's going to go through all that he would only play quarterback. Anyway, I heard some people say first round pick. I've heard some people say, I don't know about that. I think it was a little bit of uncertainty in in what you know, what turned the tide for baker's. He went to the you went to the combine these interviews any clue people away. They were so impressive as football IQ. And you see that bear out not only on Saturdays on Sundays. And you know, maybe Tyler has that. Maybe he does it. But the NFL teams would make that determination let they until they met with him at the combine. So. Cuyler would have to go through the process, which would obviously hampered his ability to play baseball. It would be incredibly difficult for him to do both. So I think at this point for him. At least initially it's going to be either or because everything is locked into place with baseball. And because he made that agreement with the back in June. It's hard for me at this point to see him saying, you know, what forget it. I'm gonna try the NFL when his baseball career. So on track, and he has a chance to be, you know, a all star caliber centerfielder in three years. Jane Trotter here on the show. Jake, your national guy, you you've seen Oklahoma a lot this year, though, what kind of odds do you give them against Alabama? Well, the the kind of teams that give Alabama problems or at least the ones in the past that have under saving are the teams that are incredibly explosive offensively with a dual threat quarterback. Johnny Manziel, Texas A&_M. Right. Well, that's what Oklahoma is. And that's what they haven't Murray. So from that perspective, I think that they have a chance to score some points against an Alabama that listen, it's fantastic. But it's also not maybe the best Alabama defense that save at saving his head. Either. The problem is is Oklahoma if Oklahoma sorts fifty they may give up seventy seven, and I think the only way that they can win is if they do what they've done the last couple of weeks, which is four points from the defensive side. It's West Virginia. They had two fumble recovery touchdowns. Which would the difference in that game fifty nine fifty six result against taxes? They they have corner. They sacked in the end zone. To get a safety in the fourth quarter, which basically clinched the win for us today. We need a player like that. But you know, listen if they if they can set their offense up with some field position opera turnover they can score points themselves. Then listen, I I don't think that I'm not picking Oklahoma to win. But I think Oklahoma will cover and I think they'll have some success. And if their defense could come up with some big plays, you know, we'll see what how healthy too and is coming off the ankle injury. Then then who knows we've seen bigger upsets before in college football for sure and j Jonah I've got here on the show, the producer and the gentleman on the board or both big time Notre Dame fans. What kind of odds are you given their ilk in that game their teams game against Clemson? I actually give Notre Dame less of a chance, then I give Oklahoma just because of the speed that Clemson is going to bring, you know, Oklahoma. I mean, they have speed they can match up with Alabama speed-wise and Notre Dame while the data fantast. Iranian book. It's been a difference maker at quarterback. You know, when you see them as good as they are. And you try to envision matching up with the athleticism to clemson's gonna bring on both sides of the ball. It does kind of feel like is this going to be like twenty twelve again? We'll see I could be wrong. I'm actually gonna be at the Cotton Bowl. The week leading up to the Cotton Bowl twos. I'm kind of curious to see what what what both teams are saying about that. But I think that Clemson with that defensive line with the speed they have across the board. That's the kind of team that traditionally gets Notre Dame problems, Jake you, and I have spent a lot of our lives in the midwest and Bill Snyder such an institution. Case state. I mean, the guy's name and his family's damn I suppose Bill Snyder and family is on the stadium under which he proud for a lotta years the head coach, what do you make of the new head coach K state in the odds, it'll go hopefully, better not that it would be hard to do this. Then the Ron prints era. Announced the the higher of climate North Dakota state tonight. You know, most people don't know who he is. But he's won three national championships at the level with the bison. They're in the playoffs right now actually in the semifinals, and he expected to coach Friday, I guess I think one of the South Dakota. I can't remember which one, but listen they have they've had tremendous success. They beat night when I was stayed under climbing and. You know, there is a blueprint for this working out. I mean, look at Ohio State, Jim tressel young young. He's up at Youngstown state comes over to Columbus. When did national championship two thousand one Frank beamer was at Murray state in Kansas in nineteen Eighty-six goes to Virginia Tech. Obviously there powerhouse for a long time under him Jim Harbaugh is that San Diego out west hired by Stanford. He hasn't been the Orange Bowl a few years later. So there are there is precedent for guys from the SDS level coming up to the FBI and doing really well. And I think that's the blueprint that Kansas state hopes that that climate will follow. I can't fans are worked up about this because they basically have the same coach for thirty years. And I think a lot of them have said, well, we're going to go get not Nick Sabin. But maybe something like that. And it is not going to get that kind of guy. Kansas state. You have to find you have to take a risk on somebody. And gene Taylor. The director. There is taking a risk on him. I think you know, we'll see what happens. We'll see what kind of coaching staff he brings in. I think they need to have some ties to the state of Texas to maybe an improved recruiting efforts there. But this is the big task for Kansas state the celebrity status for Kansas state has a program because we knew the day was going to retire. Was it just still Snyder? Or did he leave the program where somebody else could win because no one in the history in Manhattan has ever won there with the exception of Bill Snyder, and that's going to be put to the next season. I'm really curious to see how the pants out on the show bringing out the wrath of millennials money. Get mad Jake when you when you take shots. I why that's why I go after. And can I can I can I read this tweet that has your Asia on you don't look at it over thirty to you, my dear. Yes, sir. Go ahead. John Henson's sports writer. I just Google. It. Looks like Jake underscore Trotter was born in nineteen eighty one. He is a millennial Eighty-one millennials are millennials twenties. Yeah. Yeah. No. I think like eighty two eighty threes, the millennial cutoff got it got it. Yeah. I mean for me like twenty six twenty seven year old, isn't that isn't that? I mean, I think you can be early thirties. Listen, even if I I don't think I do fit the age range, it, even if I did, you know enough that I did a profile or not. Jiang data, all your budgeting. Excellent. Thanks. Thanks should be. Nobody is great get adopted. I'll take care J charter is beyond college football, national writer. Jake underscore Trotter. I'm so what am I seven? How's it going. It's been up and downs as that GD talk, which you kindly mentioned. I mean, yes. When I first went indie. I was a bit naive and I thought I could make some games and they would make some money and it'll be fine, but actually took about eighteen months before I really made any money. And that was a very tough period, shall we say with not much money in and so on. And I could have given him but are kept going. And then gradually, I got better at making games and they all sort of did okay within their market. But none of them were hits us my mytalk, but still. Stills were ups and downs. I get going and I, you know, mash to make eleven games and I'm working on the twelfth one now. Yes, we sort of postponed organizing this because you were doing some prototyping in the past couple of weeks. That's that's. Yeah. I'm still in the thick of that to be honest, but I just needed to get a good star on on that without any distractions and believe another. Thinking about a games for the show was sort of a certain amount meant to power. I couldn't devote, but I have done. I'm glad to hear that. She's in the games was a Texan experience. That's the kind of devotion to the cause that I that I like so much on Fuji, though it does mean that you have to be deserted on a on a an island stranded, only eight games that kind of the downside, but we have eight wonderful games that you've chosen to talk about. I'm before we move onto that though. Well, actually we could move onto that because the first game on your list is what is claiming to do with the topic I wanted to talk about next anyway show. So I think we could just jump straight into the games and that's talk about the first game. So let's listen to some music from the first game on your list. Jake, I think it's music. You might know very well. You might have had something to do with it. Us listen to music from the first game and jump straight into Jake's final games..

"With a thirty five piece drunk kit you know if it's a five piece drum kit that's one thing but if you've got 35 pieces just kinda throw the sticks out there it's going gonna hit something and especially when all pieces are all american you know so so mix saving can kind of throw those sticks out there it's good to hit something it's going to sound like music a special but now it's not to take anything away from not only mix stevens followthrough but this kid tackle of pag of the was leftarm you said tim tibo the fact that he took that sac and it was a real true freshman kinda of to take mix even at to be having a conviction on the sideline he takes that's act the games over at that point so many times it gives the field goal kicker obscene that you brought up shakes the field goal you take that freshman sacked basically and then you come through with that throw under those circumstances put that again that's why he was the number one recruit among run past quarterback options right like that is why and again he chose to go to alabama 'cause mix saving can walk into some kids living room and say since the year two thousand since lsu anyone who has stayed with me for three years at least has won the national title who else in the history of college football can ever rolette to fail us well let's let's pump the brakes just a touch because mr jake from was supposed to be at alabama but the kirby smart went to georgia eighty went to georgia so nix they've been locked up with with tiger below because he should have had jake from let's keep that in mind yeah but jake from on alitalia oneonone the game go ahead but let's also remember this we're we're we're talking about him putting in these freshman runningbacks quarterbacks left tackle receiver all of that but that's also a little bit of nick savings imo you take a look at the last five or six years and players that heaven necessarily played a lot in the regular season he has groom and gotten them ready for playoff action and they have come through you look at trent rich.

"Know in the short time that the game has been out we've had it appear on the show obviously japan other japan native mr jake castile chose breath of the lawns well well so good company that i think mr peter braun from gamespot as well he chose it too and it's appeared i think four or five times now in this piece of the fat aims only release them much just is a testament to how incredible that game ready is and even like going back and plain now like i recently bought a pro control of the switch and i was like well i don't really have any of the game but splatter into it to play this with so i was like huh maybe i'll just play breath of the wild again so playing brother wildly different control and it was like a whole brand new experience is just that game is just so good i i forget where i read it there was a an article about how horizon was like previous generation open world and breath a wild is next generation open world and i played through horizon two i gave it a you know sony's flag sony's flagship pilot got to play through it and even though it's it's western games feel very western that game feels very western and it's still taking their radical and putting on somebody's head and shooting at a press the button another the story is amazing in horizon that is a fantastic story really cool world that they've been able to val up lots of great things that are praiseworthy however it is gta style open world which is there is a main story there are some things for you to do and there are some gathering things and other things you can kind of experiment with in the world but in general is the main story that you have to go through to get the next thing at cetera yeah zelda what makes that so great is that.
