"And now it's time for it's a new day at summit church Mr gill right well again I welcome you to our service and I welcome you to the final message in this series we've been doing called god is lower and certainly we could say a big game into that we've learned so much about in these last few weeks that maybe we didn't even know but god is more than we could ever really totally describe and today I want to talk about god is loving he is loving and this will be the final message in this series as you heard brother John will be starting a new series next week I'm excited about it and I hope all of you will tune in and will be here if you feel comfortable on the campus I want you to turn this morning if you would to the book of Luke the gospel of Luke and we're going to read some exact words of Jesus as we talk about he is loving this is a parable that many of us know but that we're going to really dissect this morning as we talk about he is loving starting with verse eleven of chapter fifteen of the gospel of Luke Jesus continued there was a man who had two sons the younger ones said to his father father give me my share of the estate so he divided his property between them not long after that the younger son got together all we had set off for a distant country and they're squandered his wealth in wild living after he had spent everything there was a severe famine in the whole country and he began to be in need so he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country who sent him to his fields to feed pigs the long to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating but no one gave him anything verse seventeen when he came to his senses he said how many of my father's fired man have food to spare and here I am starving to death I will set out and go back to my father and say to him father I have sinned against heaven and against you I am no longer worthy to be called your son make me like one of your hired me on so he got up and went to his father while it was still a long way off his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him he ran to his son threw his arms around him and kissed him the son said to him father I have sinned against heaven and against you I am no longer worthy to be called your son but the father said to his servants quick bring the best role been put it on a bring the best robe and put it on him put a ring on his finger our ring on his finger and sandals on his feet bring the fattened calf and kill it let's have a feast and celebrate or this photo of mine was dead and is alive again he was lost and is found so they began to celebrate let's break Natalie father we've read this story many times we've heard it many times we've preached on it many times we've studied it many times but every time I personally get into it I learn something new about your love for us father I pray that'll happen to each one within the sound of my voice this morning or this afternoon or this evening or whatever someone might be listening and I pray that through your words and the words you have placed on my heart that you'll speak to people and that it will make an eternal different each in their lives I pray it when I asked in Jesus name you may be seated I'd like to begin this morning by asking this question who do you love and how do you show it who do you love and how do you show it I was seventeen when I reached over and kissed Lois cook on the forehead and I said I love you and she puckered up and said a little lower and I said I love you it I was pretty dense vacuum it's easy to love people you know right especially the ones who abuse but often even with those people we are conditional with our love aren't we and in fact we are really conditional about who we love we love nicer people smart people working people family people rich people athletic people people but not all people that would be a pretty tall order now wouldn't so let me ask you this second question who does god love and how does he show it I suppose I told you that he loves Franklin Graham and he really loved his father Billy Graham is now in heaven what if I told you god loves Robert Jeffress shore that he really loved Mother Teresa or and Graham law it's one of Billy's daughter or best Maurer Joyce Meyer what if I told you god's love them people like that you'd say well I can certainly agree with that and we all sincerely believe that god loves those kind of people but how many of you truly believe that the same god has an equally abiding love in his heart for someone like Kim Jong moon or someone who's already gone throughout past history like Adolf Hitler or what about some of the serial killers we've known here in our country Charles Manson or Ted Bundy what about a Jeffrey Epstein we see in the news constantly today who's been accused of so much sexual abuse with even young girls does god love them as much now we know that god does not turn its hand or wink at their behavior or their lifestyle in fact he doesn't condone it and their behavior angers him but does god love them just as much does god love the drug dealer hanging around the edge of the school yard does god love the racist there's gotta love the terrorists does god love the child pornographers bride taking politician or the scare martyrs who preys on the elderly maybe a better question would be does god love your enemy that person whose mention of their name gives you heartburn does god love them does god love the abortionists do all of these people matter to go do some of you stumble over these possibilities the god might love all of those people I think we all do one day Jesus was teaching in the downtown area of a busy city and I want you to look at the scene with me again here in Luke chapter fifteen very closely and I want us to read it I'm going to read it to you in the living Bible and I have it on the screen for you as well it says by this time a lot of men and women of doubtful reputation were hanging around Jesus listening intently and the first season the religious scholars were not please not at all please and I growled he changed insurers and eats with them pretty little black hole for him and they're grumbling triggered this story she Jesus had gathered around him some people of questionable integrity and off to the side is this group of religious leaders called the Pharisees gathered in a holy huddles who began the point they're boring neat bony self righteous anger at Jesus saying look at him he claims to be the son of god he claims to be god in the flesh but no sign of god would associate with your religious non believing all the holy godly and righteous people like Liam if you just and he relates to them and he laughs with him and he listens to them and he actually seems to enjoy the breeze with the help what's going on now in during in during your religious people is one thing but in short well that's a preposterous on the first season at that moment you see they felt like they had the proof now that Jesus was an impostor because the true blue son of god would never enjoy spending time with the sinful the immoral with the corrupt they thought they had god's character Hey they thought they had his character all figured out and it really bothered Jesus so it is in this scene in this atmosphere in this situation the Jesus poll what was the co one of the best known parables of all time my my seminary professor used to say up a parable is a heavenly story with the nervously meaning it was in this context that Jesus calmly told the story about a rebellious irreverent your religious killed known as the prodigal son and what a simple little story Jesus answered once and for all the questions the beg to be answered after they were asked the question I wanna answer today is under what conditions does god love us what kind of a loving god is god almighty our creator anyway I see five simple lessons about god's loving nature from this parable and I want to do in this series of god is more by pointing them out first of all and I hope you're right them down we see that god is the god who loves us even when we make foolish choices share that with me when we make foolish choices now look at how the parable begins loop fifteen verse eleven and twelve Jesus said there was a man who had two sons the younger one said to his father father give me my share of the estate so he divided his property between the it was a pretty good C. requests from the sun wasn't he's not content to wait even until his dad passes away he asked for he sure right now you know what they say where there's a will there's a relative he says I want my share we've all noticed one of the first words that come out of the mouth of a child is mine have you noticed that any of you who have pre schoolers that's one of the first words they learn mine a little girl see someone else when we're there Dahlin show March over there Graham that dollars a mile you try to get a bite of little boys ice cream cone NEO **** it back and say mine you slip your hand over control to grab the remote out of your husband's control yes I mine it's in our nature and there's kids that I won my share I want what is mine it really wasn't his anyway and all that self absorption caused him to make some really foolish choices we're not told but I am sure the father tried to reason with this on about what a non wise choice this walls but that strong willed he had had his mind made up and he was not going to be the nine what was here sh according to him you know what one of the toughest things is as a parent it is to know when to hold on and when to let go isn't it I mean this dad knew it was time to let go maybe he could see that his son was only going to learn some lessons in life the hard way so it is lovely he let me make this foolish decision and just keeps on loving him I'm telling you letting go requires some of the most intense logged an apparent can muster besides the Pharisees who is Jesus telling the story to Jesus was talking to dishonest tax collectors at other centers in this group he was talking to people who were sitting there who had also made some very foolish choices in their own lives and Jesus is saying just like her father loves his son even when he makes an unwise choice our heavenly father loves use even when you choose poorly and that is absolute good news for any of us who made some foolish choices isn't it I mean so many of our biggest swan dives into disaster in life started with an unwise choice didn't maybe it was a non wires friendship choice or non wires dating shores or non wise career choice or a drug choice or an alcohol choice engine one of the ones sitting there and Jesus once the ones sitting here and in our homes our cars today or tomorrow or.

"A little bit your parents veggie. Well, it's always the very rich kids that have no one tending to them and the kids that are like just their parents are like not they're neglectful that are not eating right? But like the fact that Angela was eaten worried at home that also is never lost. They they use. They use that as an indicator in a lifetime movie to show, the caring -ness of parents. Her mom takes the note into the living room, and she puts it at the desk. But I you know, she picks up her bible. She sets ragtime timer. She's ready to do daily prayers. Angela gets to school in a moment later we go back. We hear the egg timer is just finished up. Our prayers to actresses. Okay. So this is Valerie Harper's performance. I want you to imagine just the filmmaking of this. This is an address who has not had a scene by herself. She is now. Valerie harper. She has a minute and a half to read note with that her daughter wrote confessing murder, and she asked to play out over a voice over that's only split up by one cut-away. She has to play out the entire reading processing understanding etcetera of this aside note, and I think that she it. I mean, guys gotta go on the Instagram and tell me is this the best or worse acting ever. Dear mom and dad, I've been trying to tell you this. But I love you so much so hard. I'm taking the easy way out. I just can't be near you. And you see this because I've already caused so much pain. The reason why it took so long in Friday's because the FBI men Mr. Gill thinks I did it. And he is right. I can't bring her back. That I'm so sorry. I would kill myself at maybe that would hurt you even more. I've been able to live with it for a while. But I can't ignore it. It's too much for me. And I can't be deceiving. I spoke to a priest, but I still can't take it. I need to turn myself in with you. If you would come today. Please forgive me. I need you. Not applaud because we want to have these two gentlemen, get all their time in to discuss these issues and the question now is to you Mr. Gill your opponent says you were quote embroiled in a lot of corruption scandals and can't be entrusted with running the state. He says you are corrupt your befriended. As he just mentioned by undercover FBI agents looking for corruption in your city, you socialize with them in New York City. You say the FBI told you you are not the target of their investigation. Now this week. You know, the subpoenaed tech messages from lobbyists who was your longtime friend appear to show a high price ticket to see the Broadway show Hamilton came from the undercover agent, not from your brother as you stated. The question is for you. Did you know took that ticket from your brother in the lobby of the Richard Rodgers theatre on forty six there in Manhattan? That an undercover agent posing as a developer had paid for the ticket and was gifting it to you. Yeah. I know this has been a great theme of news today. And so I want to set it straight especially for the benefit of my opponent one. I did go and see Hamilton. I was aware that Adam Corey and Mike Miller arranged so that we could go and see the show I arrived at the theater in receive my ticket from my brother. The problem that I have is that I should have asked more questions to make sure that everything that had transpired was above board. I was informed by my brother at the time that he gave Adam Corey tickets to a Jay Z beyond say concert of which I understand they took later, and I understood that to have solved whatever the issue was with regards to the expenses associated with it. But I take responsibility for not having asked questions, but let me tell you. I'm running for governor. And the state of Florida we got a lot of issues. In fact, we got ninety nine issues and Hamilton ain't one of them..

Right next to it Morgan Stanley says the stock market selloff is going to get worse. So completely completely varying opinions on the market. This is what drives you crazy. "Guard job. What do you say, wait? What do I have to wait to sixty seven before? I can get my social security. Maybe how old are you about sixty one? I'll be sixty two in January. Okay. Yeah. H sixty six and a couple of months, and that's your full retirement age. You can take it at sixty to get seventy five percent of that benefit. And if you wait Bob till age seventy it increases eight percent a year. Eight percent a year and that's eight percent each year. Like, it's like an eight percent raise after this year. Exactly. It's like having your money invested in the eight percent certificate of deposit. Well, and that increase is an increase to income that's permanent. You can't live at once you start taking it. Well, that's sounds like a good incentive to keep on doing something until I could seventy. Well, here's here's why are you married? Yes. Okay. Usually, I'm not gonna say it in your case, usually the husbands because they work longer because the wives are taking care of kids have a higher social security benefit than the wives. Okay. Usually, the husbands are also older than the wives. So if you wait to age, seventy not only are you then generating much higher income from social security, but you're protecting your wife because when you if you predeceased her she takes over your higher social security benefit. Oh, so so she gets the benefit on that. Correct. If you wait, she'll get show guitar one. Now, some people just have to take it to how finish out their budget. And that's fine. That's what it's there for. But if you can make it without stretching too far without state security. It's best to wait to age seventy. Why do I keep saying seventy because it stops increasing at age seventy? That's when we make everything taken is. Is there any way Mr. Gill to to? Once you're doing you make a decision, and you do something can you ever change it? Sure, you can go back once within a certain time period, you have to pay back all the social security you've taken I see, but you have a one year window after you Tate. Okay. "There's plenty of tools for judges prosecutors i and defense lawyers to ensure witnesses are protected in appropriate cases what role do alibi notices play also truly interesting there's a ruling new york that if the defendant wants to raise an alibi defense he has to give notice of the pratin notice to the prosecutor the names and addresses of anyway witnessed that he or she wants to call to support this alibi defence within eight days of the prosecutor serving notice said the blighted only only applies only as it will take any in you ask a prosecutor why why do you have this alibi notice rule why do we have it in the answers will of course to let the prosecutor prepare and go in interview the whitney mrs that the defense is going to is gonna call to prepare for trial to prepare for cross examination so in egypt as will why wouldn't the same logic applied at the prosecutors witness to the sale at the defence investigate but of course they have no answer let's talk about a couple of cases can you tell us about carol gilles sure we've had met many cases you can ask any lawyer in any county where the prosecutor plays by the blindfold law and they're going to tell you examples of injustice so terrible gillis's a queens case of legal aides recently mr gilles was charged with robbing a dunkin' donuts store and he was imprisoned on rikers island for eighteen months awaiting a trial eighteen months on rikers and we know what governor cuomo and others have described the horrors of records island so at the start of the trial is eighteen months after mr gill's arrest the da turns over the queen's d a turns over police reports revealing that another man had been arrested the day before mr gil as for two other dunkin' donuts rest robberies in all three cases were investigated by the nypd as part of a single what they thought was a single pattern robbery and the police reports were merged so we get this eighteen months later now the witness in the case.
