"Well, good morning, Mr Coleman. Ah strange game last night, and the the immediate concern right away is Jacob deGrom and The stiff neck and when he'll be able to pitch again. Yeah. What is it about Friday nights anyway? By the way, I like you. Richard talked about the they lost a Miami last Friday for three and then the 11 10 game down in Atlanta. And this one now last night to make things interesting with you in May, so I don't know. I think Jake all the will be okay. He didn't seem that worried about it. Yeah, This has cropped up before, though, the next so hopefully not something that's going to keep cropping up for a long term thing, but it didn't seem like It was going to be a big deal, surprising that kind of hung with them, But I think he's hoping to throw today and then I mean, there's a possibility he could get back in before Wednesday, which would be his day. Uh so we'll see. If that's the case. Then I guess he based the Yankees. You know the following weekend, but That's neither here nor there. At this point, I think, you know, just getting him back in there. Uh, assume as possible is the best thing. Yeah, well, I mean, I think they'd like to have him pitch against the Yankees are given a chance against that lineup versus somebody else who may not be quite as proficient, which would be all of baseball. So I think you want Jake in there a cz much as you can. You would like, so okay? You know, I don't like second guessing managers. But you know, you got Walker lock it in there, and he's dancing between the raindrops made he's got in a couple of breaks. He's God, not awesome jams and he gets into the fifth inning in a couple of guys on and you're going against real moto and I'm thinking God get this guy out of there, Get this guy out of there and they leave them in it. Som run Phillies go ahead and to stay really? And I was perplexed by that. And apparently Howie on the radio said Well, he's saving the bullpen for tomorrow because he's not sure about mats. Was that your take on that? Or did you just think that he thought that locket could get through it? I You know they needed length on the locket last night. That's all I know, because they had used the bullpen quite a bit in the previous couple of games. They had used a lot of guys out there on. I don't know how many were available. Last night's You know, uh, use had pitched a lot. Ah, no, Brock as well. He had thrown trees, etcetera, but so again, they were trying to get him through. The odd thing to me was right after the home run in the next four guys in the next two to get out of the inning, struck out the 1st 2 on the sixth inning. Uh, you know, like itjust seems tto lose it from time to time, but they needed length from him last night. I Listen, I was ah, on thin ice with him two in the fifth inning, especially after the walk to Harper. You know, we give up the double the Hoskins and then the walk and then the home run. Uh, so it was risky. I thought, but I think they needed, you know, at least five and, uh, And then he gave him six. So, um, you know, I can't kill him on that because I think that was the plan. They were trying to get him through there. Tough part of the lineup together through you know, third time through the lineup is well, too, would like it and first start. It's It's dangerous. Yeah, it was dangerous. For sure. The interesting thing is when he started throwing the curveball as opposed to the slider. He was getting guys out and you start to think. Well, you know what? Maybe just get rid of the slider for the time being, you know, just throw fastballs on breaking stuff and not I don't know too many changeups, but You know, maybe just if that slider isn't working, get rid of it early, as opposed to waiting until the sixth inning when you're writing just blew people away. Yeah, they What do they say? There's nothing worse than a bad flutter on DH, you know, usually gets taken deep. The curve came late for him. I think I don't think it was there at the beginning, and it came late. So maybe that's No. Maybe that's why I I don't know. Um, first time that we've seen him this year, so you know we've seen lock it before, is not a guy that's gotta lock it down for you. What? The times but He's out there and to give the innings and that's that's what they needed last night and in a pinch, you know, they didn't know with Jake a suspected the day before, but they weren't sure they were hoping he could go. But that wasn't the case. You know that's something you learn from, I guess, but unfortunately, a costume last night that didn't cost him the game. There are a lot of reasons that they lost this game. And you know Ramos is going to take the heat, obviously because of the play in the ninth inning, but the fact that they were too for 16 Which is almost mine bar. Going to for 16 with runners in scoring position has been a really source point real sore point all year long. Uh, this is a team that It leads the majors and on base percentage leads the majors and hit The average almost nine hits a game, but it doesn't matter if you're going to leave Moe on base, so That's that's a huge problem. And, um, the closer last night, said Luego face four batters and gave up three hits. So that's you know, again, another One of the huge problem last night, But you know, people were all over almost last night and listen. He's gotta make the play. I thought the play was there for him to make. But he wasn't the loan cause now for those who did not see the game. You're talking about the tag where he didn't get the glove onto the ground Writer. It would've blocked the hand coming in if he had done that. Yeah. I mean, listen most, you know, it's funny is he plays of the plate now and more used to block the plate. You know, most guys would come in sliding, you know, to avoid, you know, hand injuries, but now Where it's different, and you've got to swing the hand around, you know, to try to get the tag. You see a lot of guys flood kind of almost away from the plate and stick their hand in like Quinn did last night. He's fast..

"Six sixty six good morning Mr Coleman he said he got there okay I guess not telef let's see ladies there now okay and you're in the morning again yeah yeah it's it's it's kind of weird being up late at night what what's your schedule like these days I don't know do I have the schedule well there there's the waters day is the day you know because it one day blurs any other you could wake up and what day is today is a Wednesday whatever the holiday it was such a thing that they exist anymore I don't know yeah a lot of blogs or podcasts stuff like that so no baseball is for sure at least now anyway yeah well when last we spoke on the air you're you're kind of pessimistic that baseball was going to be able to start with all the the obstacles in the way and all the question marks and everything else things have clarified a bit since then what do you think yeah I'm optimistic that they're going to play you know I I again the the time is is kind of running out here there they're going to deliver the you know the latest in poor solution anyway to the players tomorrow but yeah you know by my figure anyway you're you're probably got about a week or so before you have to start getting things in place because if you want to start spring training you know in the middle of June you've got a allow the club's sometime to get everything together and and get ready for that so I don't think say June first as a hard date but you know you're around this time you got probably a week or ten days I would think to because straighten this out and and hopefully they will I I do think that you know I I I think the owners we'll come back with the help that they need for the reduction in salary at least you know everything you do you hear that that's not going to flow with them just a fifty fifty so and I I think they realize as well to that you mentioned revenue sharing to a player that means salary cap so that's not gonna float either side I think they'll try to find some innovative ways innovative ways around that and you know there are a couple ways that you can go and we'll we'll see if they'd be used up but I do think they will yeah well one of the ways I guess is deferred payments that you know right now the owners claim that they're strapped I don't know how strapped they are really but you know its it's right Alex he dated day week to week year to year so right now the even if they do come back with fans later in there which is doubtful they're going to take a hit revenue wise so maybe they can defer some of those payments somehow but you know it it's it's it's interesting the optics of this whole thing because I have most of the calls I'm getting are not on the players side you know people are so wrong yeah yeah look at all these restaurant workers who are out of jobs and may not ever get them back and you're complaining that you're going to have to take a cut from forty million to twenty million right get real so the players can't really win this you know the the public arena I don't think they never do and they never will and I think they realize at least most of them do you know it it's you people forget the you know baseball is ten to eleven million dollars billion dollar excuse me a million but billion dollar no revenue winner every year or was this past year anyway and they've they've made money over the last you know seventeen years I think it is and player salaries have gone down the last couple years and again nobody's playing violence here for the players are but at the same time they're not going to win the still the public relations war they never have they never will and I think you know most of them realize that as well too but you know Major League Baseball teams are there the help the most part are not publicly traded entities in there you know you don't have to disclose your profits or losses your revenues and and that's part of the problem with revenue sharing that's what the players of always had a problem with this is you know there's a lot to say about the school who's so and there's a lot that can be hidden but you know that there are ways to get around to one of the things you know you mentioned different payments you know different payments with interest maybe down the line that you can you know pay off over the next couple years the bottom line to me is that the the owners are going to lose money one way or the other here and everybody's losing money to get the game back this year but the owners have to get to the postseason that's what they really want the I don't even know what they care how long the season as you know some people said well you know eighty two games which they have scheduled now is basically half the season I I personally I don't I don't even know if the owners care if they had that many kids they just want to get to the postseason where they can get to the TV money and that's where they're going to earn some money so can you tie it and somehow the players that way that they would get a share of that you know at the end of this year or you know over the next year the one thing they have to do is stay away from revenue sharing because you have the collective bargaining agreement coming up next year and the players don't want to go there all period and they certainly don't want to go there right before you're going to have you know took a collective bargaining agreement CBA next year or so before the end of next year so I think there are ways to get around this and hopefully they can be a little creative and and get it done yeah one what one would think they would find a way and whatever it is it is the other rules changes I mean it it looks pretty much like you're gonna have a designated hitter in both leagues right yeah I mean I I think that's you know I I've never been a big DH fan but I'm not one of these kicking and screaming guys it's gonna drag me into H. kicking and screaming at the I think it's it's going to happen and I think it's going to happen now this this is the perfect time to do it and I I think that you know once it's installed I think it will be here and I just think that's I think it's a smart thing to do this year if you're going to try it at least and I I don't think you go back from that so I think it's yeah it will be installed like but I think it will remain after this and that's just the where does I mean I I like the idea of you know pension pitchers and all that stuff and so I like the national excel plate but you know like I said it on another kicking and screaming guides it's going to change and I think this is probably the time to do it the interesting thing to me is that by I think it helps the meds act a lot because you know they would suspect is even Robbie can but also you know dom Smith and J. D. Davis that they have you know people that can cover that and it would help them obviously ostensibly so I I think it helps them out a lot of a lot of the installer yeah I would say for sure that would be a plus for the Mets what about other rules change I mean obviously the schedule is going to be however I read a piece from the the couple that are living in the Hyannis Massachusetts who used to make up the major league schedule and do it for the NBA as well and they they said they said basically you have home and away series of twelve games with the teams in your division so that comes up to forty eight games and then you have thirty games in the team with the corresponding in this case American League division the A. L. east he tried a series each way the whole way yeah so you do that and that comes out to seventy eight and you figure something out for the remaining four games if you're gonna play eighty two that would be a pretty simple way to do it I just wonder with with the cold and everything else if you know it's going to be three game sets or you're going to bring a team into town for six games and knock it off that way so you cut down on the travel advice possible rich I mean I I don't think any of that is set in stone at this time I think a lot of that depends on hot spot so I mean we're seeing that now you know things are opening up this weekend obviously and you know people are together we've seen the pictures of yell no masks and large gatherings that's a good idea probably not right now because I think so you know I that what happens if you have a series scheduled you know if the minutes of the series scheduled with you know Baltimore say all right and Baltimore becomes a hot spot when you're supposed to go there what what happens then you know do this Baltimore come to New York because those are things that you have to figure out and and I again you're gonna have to play with this I think as the season goes along which is one reason why I said that I don't know if the owners care all that much whether it's eighty two games you can factor in eighty two that's what it's supposed to be right now but you know if you start a little bit later is that less games do you care they like I said they want to get to the postseason that's that's where the money is for the minute they're playing games in front of no fans you know they care whether it's seventy or eighty I don't think so so that that's where the schedule it's kind of hard factoring into figuring out a schedule right now and you don't even know how many games they're dumping the we will be right now it's you know slated for eighty two but and we'll see what ends up being well and this year I mean they were talking about an additional wildcard team are they going to try to do that this year is that a proposal for later or house at work I think yeah I know I I think they're going to allow fourteen teams in that that was the idea I think couple years or pass next year I think was of for two thousand twenty two I think so I I think they will try that this year yeah because the I mean the season is you know up in the air and and you know all over the place this year so I think they're going to try to include as many you know teams as you can and you know the less games you have the more teams that are in it anyway you you know how that works you get the fifty games kind of around this time you know moral day or so and you kind of figure out the where you are at that point of time it takes that much time to figure out what kind of team you are and and then the next hundred SO you know kind of sort out the wheat from the chaff but you know with with less games show you're you're not gonna have that much separation between teams so they'll be some flights for playoff spots down the line that'll make things more interesting I guess then I think build yelled you include the fourteen teams and exactly what the playoff format is going to be like I guess that's to be determined but they had work something out for twenty twenty two as well yeah and I wonder what the trading deadline is going to be a you know it you'll know you're right yeah and will it be let it's gotta be later I mean you don't want to do July thirty first of the month right so you you do it later and then you look at the you know the.

Was there any last second thought you wanted to say on Carmen sandiego Christian? No, man, just like that type of domations seems pretty rudimentary. But it's also looks like they'd spent the money on it. Right. So I mean, I. These things aren't for us. But I'm never gonna cast urges on them rag. Because it's still like an interesting worthwhile addition to the cannon or whatever. So I'm excited, man. We'll definitely do a review for it. Right. Yeah. Absolutely. So I also wanted to look at the check 'cause I had a alley here say it reminds me of the issuance ads. And of course, it does look that the enemy is not looked so similar. Oh. Fire so a fantastic our it is your show America triple, eight eight to, five, five, two, two, five triple, eight eight to, five, five, two, two. Five let's go to William who's online in, Dallas, William how can we? Help, hey Mr.. Coleman how are? You I'm. Fantastic how are? You Thank you for taking my call sure, how, can we help today? I, was just. Calling him a? Quick question. For you actually My family and our culture here in about a month I. Just wanted to get your input and advice on that go about that now, with I should sell the? House or intake the equity or should I go ahead and so, all, of the things we have a caller is are okay. We'll give us give us a rundown of your. Numbers so talk, to your take on pay per. Month. William per se seventy thousand per year per year okay Yes, ma'am we owe sixty thousand on the home we're backed. Up ten thousand ten thousand dollars in payments will. Almost a year, how much is the whole mortgage. Payment At the home workers minimum one hundred and fifty five k. Okay so if we sell it at minimum. I'll. Come out with an equity about maybe roughly eighty thousand? Okay and what's the mortgage. Per month The. Mortgage is eight thirty eight thirty Okay Gosh, well what other debt do you? Have The major my. Major. Debt, that we only have right now The only thing that I do have on, my credit report is. Possibly a total of three thousand dollars which is basically. Nothing that's something that I can obviously pay all From. My side my wife has well has some vets there about maybe along the route maybe five thousand okay, so let me I. Just I just started listening to your show The total money makeover. With giving me about my father yeah. I. Just started reading that a couple. Of days ago I am now on, chapter six dollars spouse and walk before you before you run. So that's where I'm at right now Lillian let me ask you a question Rachel is going to weigh. In here but. I just wanna ask a question for both of us I'm not. Understanding why you can't pay eight hundred dollar mortgage on, a seventy thousand dollar a year job I missing something it doesn't sound, like you have? A. Whole lot of other debt so what are you spending your money The next. One dollars right so that's roughly about how much we make together so I I'm right now I'm trying. To start up. My business for dog training business so it's kinda averaging about that. Right now so or give or take Within is that. You know our relationship that is kind of they're actually because. We have high natural problems or stuff that. I've done in the past That conflict with with me pain debt I keep on saying to. Myself, well maybe take them there. Or. Bound this relationship will get better so basically using. Money for stupidity. Instead of what, I actually related take care Yep that's your problem right there okay because financially should be able to afford this house this is not we're not underwater and it's all the other actions are doing with the extra five grand a month That is sinking you totally thinking you and so William what I would suggest for sure is to get on a budget and have a discussion with your, wife because, I've heard, a few, things in your comments, you said, her debts and my debts and so you guys, getting on the same page and having this this meeting together and saying, okay we're going to lay everything out as a married. Couple and we're going to make, a, decision going forward that we're gonna. Do this together because what's. Your feeling is this tension in that you're spending money because you feel like.
