"Try a couple episodes right. Maybe it does. Will you know you spotify says the first five episodes because we had to have five up yet before we could post a spotify. That's like their thing october. Twenty twenty. yeah now twenty twenty. We recorded before that I know we were because i started screaming. August of twenty twenty believe august foreign and legged levin begging me for like six months. He's like do. You need to start straightening because i was i i was planning apex. I was hitting clips. I was doing all this shit. And i was using metal. Tv which is the software that is like it's just pure make clips. Although it had some bugs had kept having sound issues for me. I was having some stuff. Go wrong with it. But i was posting them. Just within like different chords like dude. You gotta start using this. You have an opportunity here. You've got something. And i was like i had been networking. I was in with him. Our good buddy. Mr clutch Has a bit bigger like streamer network. I have more so discord network. That's another perspective thing of. He's he's more comfortable. Like i don't have any issues jumping in and hopping into somebody's chat just lurking and talk shit and then my thing is my discord. Dmz always open. Anybody has not so much back when we started the podcast but more so nowadays. Like i'm always oh. Hey how do i fix this. But how do i plug this in. How do i do this plug in. How do i use better discord. How do i set up a go. Live with me. Six or whatever the where l. tap came in less than average like it finally started ball rolling when we were like okay. We're gonna make this happen. One day of the week works with both of us and because he was doing his Paul was it call center or medical. The home health hospice company. Yeah yeah he was with. That and i was still doing construction at the time and monday to friday. Sometimes saturday new summer. I've had five saturdays in a row right now that i've worked i've had five days off in the last month in the week. Yeah and ended up just working us. It's like the one free day where i can relax just five. We can talk to people get to know people a little better and then maybe our network because like adhd like all the different. Oh jeez through. Leelanau ace i. We've met We've met you. We met wish we've met everybody like it's just this organic daisy chain. That just keeps getting longer and longer and longer and longer schedule. And for me i love. I'm just an inquisitive. Our semi inquisitive. Little bastard man. I love aching people's brains and learning like why did you pull the trigger. Why did you why are you may content. Why you don't have to. Why do you do it. It's people seem to forget that they have amnesia. It's like why are you actually doing this like you don't have to do that was to that was our basis for the podcast. Why twitch why consecration. Youtube like and the more personal side of what got you into gaming. What was your first games like screen tag. Like gamertag like silent knight. "Being at home. And you're there. And then it's just so deflating. Oh my god not only you lose amari stoudamire. You lose boris too. I mean at least if you had boruses that high post initiator you feel like you still have a decent chance of winning game five but to lose. Both of them was just a crushing crushing blow. In what i absolutely feel was the two thousand seven. Nba finals even. If it was the west semites. It was the i mean. There's no question it'll brown team. Lebron wasn't ready for lebron wasn't ready. Whatever the cavs were not ready for that level of competition at that time again. That's life in the west like chris. Paul's made the finals until now didn't make the conference finals. Two thousand eighteen. Play the entire. He's played his entire career in the western conference. He's had the spurs. He's had the mavs he's had all these scenes these as the warriors toward the end. It's it's it's not easy to get to get over the hump in two thousand seven then by math. What are you twenty. Twenty twenty four by that time something like that. Twenty one twenty one. What do you remember where you watching those games. What's that like for you. I was in college back then. The university of arizona mean. I remember watching especially that sons laker series. Because you seem to be split with sons and lakers fans and just the the bragging rights for winning that series was just unbelievable the the three one comeback series in six. When you had. Tim thomas hit the huge shot to tie it and the game six than kobe went for fifty but the sons were still able to somehow pull it out and over overtime and that was really the year. Like oh five. It felt like the sons weren't quite ready. Oh five almost was like this year and that it was a huge turnaround from the year before one of the biggest turnarounds in nba history from once. He's in the next twenty nine wins to sixty two wins and it you know usually not apparently not with these sons you need to go through your lumps especially in the west where you lose a couple of top series so it kind of felt like the o. Five team was taking your lumps. Oh six you don't have amari stoudamire. You kind of felt like you're playing with house money but oh seven. I mean you've got everything you've got all your pieces together. You're reasonably healthy. You just had this huge win against the spurs. It felt to me. Like oh. Seven was the year i think that was the best sons team of the nassar's and i thought that was their best chance so that that was definitely the most devastating one of the nash. Run to me and then it kind of goes sideways a little bit after that you have the shack experiment in and just the oh eight. Oh nine. teams just aren't aren't on the same level and then you have this magical year in twenty twenty ten really nashes last great year. Maybe and they and they have this. It's one of my favorite all-time teams ever that didn't win. And they have a five-man starting lineup and a five-man bench mob and a wipe the floor with the spurs in the second round of benching. All the spurs stop gordon drag which has like the best game of his life in the in the in one of those games and mashed with the shot. I can't forget that just looking like a gladiator. Finally slaying that dragon that he hasn't been able to get by his whole career then they get to the conference finals against the lakers. Who are trying to repeat as champions and there's just like those sons. Were kind of just a misfit. Robin lopez jared dudley channing. Frye just kind of strange conglomeration of players that just had this magic sort of like nashes really one of the only guys left from the true seven seconds or less teams national amari rum. They have this magic and then remind people what happens in game five of the conference finals. And that's the last time. The sons are in the playoffs before this year. So jason. Richardson hits this huge three off. The backboard finally tie the game up in game. Five obviously game six would have been at home Kobe bryant mr clutch. Airballs a shot. Which how often do you see kobe. Just air ball club shot like that. And ron our test meta world peace. Whatever you wanna call him is in the right place at the right time and puts the ball back up for the game winning layup and that was just absolutely devastating. That was back in our troop days. Zac and i was on the daily dime live chat that night moderating it and just knew that i just knew that was a. I thought they could have won game six. If you're up three two and you have all the momentum but it felt like to lose a game like that it's you just didn't see them coming back and six and then going back to staples when winning game seven. That was that was a game to steal course in game six. Kobe goes off. Sun's just had no answers for him just making tough shot after shot or you just have to shake his hand and and that was it and that was really the nash year from there. Yeah that game. Six kobe's on fire to such a degree that he hits a baseline jumper. And pats alvin gentry on the ads. So the weight up the floor which is like an all time and alvin. Gentry just smiles. I'm like i know. Like what can i do. So the meta put back jason. Richardson had just banked in a pointer to tie that game with like three and a half seconds left. But it's jason richardson. Who i'm sure you can close your eyes and see it. This is the box out. It's his guy doesn't box out. And it's a it's actually like a really high degree of difficulty twisting tip in moonball floater. Gets off the glass. I it's a hard shot. Yeah yeah no. It's it's a hard shot and it's just man. It's just your typical sons playoff lock. Were again you feel like you're there. I believe sons. We're losing most of that game jason. Richardson ties it up. You feel like oh my god. This games going to overtime. Who knows what's going to happen there..

Anthony Davis finalizing five-year, $190 million max deal with Lakers, agent says

"Or Chris? Paul. What kind of money in contract negotiations? Did Mr Clutch sports full in this league on LeBron and then a D and back to back days? What is he charged for? That One quarter, then 2% 3% no more than three right. I do have a friend. That's an agent and I'm doing this off in time. My head, but I think They get generally between what four and 10% depending on the sport. It depends the more you make, the less the percentages so I I paid agents 10% most of my life, but I don't make that much. But a guy like LeBron James when he's your buddy. Yeah. You know, I I would think probably 3% would be The going rate, uh, for that, but I mean, he did monster contracts back to back. On. It's the relationship with LeBron. I mean, they grew up together, and he's the guy who's got trained my green as well. And they all orchestrated the The Anthony Davis, You know, transaction to hold out from New Orleans and put on the T shirt that that's all folks and, you know, just kind of tanked on there all year and Even though they were a playoff team, and you made the point that They? They both got massive contracts. I mean, LeBron, a two year $85 million extension. Could. It could have gotten more I think and then Anthony Davis, a five year 1 90 he can get out of here is an early termination doesn't have to go to the fifth year. So I don't know. You know, the the roll back and in the B R. I Is going to affect most people, but I don't know if it'll affect them. There is a very top end. But I think they probably could have squeezed a little more juice out of it. To be honest with you, but they all signed back to back so We're looking at the Lakers being the dominant team in the NBA for at least the next three years and more. It's interesting that actually A D committed to a year beyond LeBron. So I mean, LeBron is you gotta play more than just this

"Would you mind if I mentioned Mohr than one name? I want to start with Mike Madden stocks. Mr Clutch two for three with a double and a three run home run in the four run eighth inning. For the Cincinnati Reds tonight, too. Lost open. A close game and almost making a route from 2 to 1 after a U Hanya Suarez is to run home run in the sixth Kurt Sally solo home run leading off the eighth, and then the icing on the cake might move stock us against his old team. And against Drew Rasmussen Boom, a three run home run. To bust this thing wide open a 6 to 1 Reds lead on their way to a 6 to 3 victory once again two for three with a double and a three run home run against his former team. And also props. To Luis Castillo. Totally inconsistent early in the season, and Manny's hitting his stride right now, with his fourth straight victory, six and two thirds innings, four hits a run, and that came In the fifth inning. On an 87 mile an hour changeup. Tio Jed Jerko on an O to pitch boom, home run Tau left, and I kept thinking. This can't happen. Luis Castillo getting beat one to nothing with one mistake, please, Reds. Don't let it happen, and they didn't. They caught fire and the Reds win 6 to 3. But Luis Castillo six and two thirds innings for run, four hits, one run. Three walks, nine strikeouts, and he lowered his hea R a to 2.86, and he got some help from the mere Garrett and raise Ella glace Ius. Before Nate Jones pitched the ninth inning and gave up a couple of runs on that to run. Jace Peterson home run in the ninth, So might move. Stock kiss was.

Jay How do you want me to tell you what farm well so state farm asked for us to do something a little different than for us to name some Clutch People Besides Cami asides candy? So why don't you read it as normal and then once we hit that naming stuff? We're just GONNA go. We'll just read it for a little while. Read it as normal Myrtle. What does that mean? There's nothing real than someone you can rely on whether you're relying them to make the shot in the clutch or be there when you need it most like You know like Cami Nolan. You think she's going talk about you know something stupid but instead she sticks to the topic and really nails it or you know who else is that like some other people who come through in the clutch all the time our camera on whatever you put on. Hey Ma. Everybody is down with Cameron. Good Song doesn't matter what context you're in clutch song. Some of US mean the world to you but that's fine. Go ahead Ashleigh I. I mean I thought they were saying like Clutch. Make the shortly clutch. This is the sports. Podcast you got Michael Jordan may always a very good to WHO ELSE JERRY. West is nickname. Mr. Clutch Yeah. You're right and if only there were a ten part documentary we could watch about it. Oh my God there is with through. Espn and if you're afraid of curse words ESPN you know it's like the opposite of of what's his face. Who's the most Paul George Otto Ashort. Except for that one gatorade commercial where he hit that game winning three at the Buzzer. You know someone you can trust to come in clutch. They make all the difference on or off the court with state farm. You get a teammate. You can rely on. Get the real deal when you want the real deal like a good neighbor state farm. Is there no such a clutch Really Clutch so Katie Nolan. Maybe with somebody could have named when we were thrown out names. But that's my next one. Houston give me a second. Yeah we ran. We ran out of time next time. My Mom just text means a dad is so happy can wait to find out. Why Oh probably because he gets to get rid of the maybe the attic ship off all right so we're down to how many now eight eight first matchup. Walkman sorry disc man Walkman. Whatever is going to blockbuster quickly. Wow this is tough because it's like music or video you know. Yeah but there are later. We have more music ones on here. That would be more likely to move on. I think I would say well. Here's thing one thing we haven't talked about. I don't know if this was a thing for you guys as well as that blockbuster was also kind of a social destination Because like a again I to inaugural school but it was a chance for a place where I could run into friends. People my age boys from my town right and that was fun. Yeah the other thing I was going to say for disc man was. The game started to change when you could burn. Cd's Yeah Guzman. Won't guy we were one of the only houses that had a CD burner in my group of friends. 'cause like my dad needed it for work so I would just burn. Cd's for people and making a great CD was like incredible. I would argue that. That goes with napster true. I mean they're third two sides of it. Unlike sure having this man that was a good joke. J You always short out at the wrong. This free from right now is terrifying. Airbud. Hey okay. Trump'S J J just wanted to apologize for Internet connection not so strong teeth or is it just look whiter because you're so tan probably the latter. I would know in your teeth but got sleep whitening anyway. I think you're right. Napster is more of the CD burning. Choice then dismantle. Because you didn't like I just remember bringing them to school and then you would play them. Dismiss only problem with this man was never really solved for the Walkman fit. Really well on your on your belt. the disc man. I remember if you hung it on your belt or few you know. Put it wherever it would skip more. Yeah yes it did dip alive. Yeah I used to put it in my my Hoodie Pouch Leander hands. Go slop against you as you walked point. Katie yet like even I remember I would like if you could take it out. Lay It on a table you would. Because that was the best way sitting flat was the best way to get it to play. Yeah for sure. No I mean it comes down to me. Also about those headphones. They were so uncomfortable and like there was no other options. My frozen again. She's Christ man. I'm talking about your frozen. Is he done talking? Do you think I figured out how long it now he's done? It's going to be funny when we because we're all recording the and so he's GonNa Start taking but it's going to be so listener because we're just GONNA be talking at the same time. It doesn't matter I think we move on blockbuster. I wouldn't have thought I would move on blockbuster but I think that it just is making me so happy nostalgic to think about family trips of like getting the car. We're GONNA blockbuster and how happy we would be to go and like. Oh my move your. We're GONNA get a video game. Are we going? GonNa rent like it was just such a place of like access to stuff that you were like. This is so cool. I don't know I would pick on a blockbuster. I think Ari blockbuster all right. Next frosted tips versus Gameboy. Boy what a what a matchup jail you take it. Thanks so much frostitutes. We're good for no one. Let's say super clear about. They didn't help us single person. I know you think you thought you were going to look like Justin Timberlake. Let's face it but I don't know if Justin Timberlake was the best example for us to tips. He's the most famous person who was I. Let me think about. It was any stray wolf. Who Ninety acute cute. So gameboy was like the most incredible thing to have in the back of your parents car if you had one. We didn't have game but we had a game dear but we got to play game. You're the backseat of the car. Was Best Time Yeah. It hasn't Nintendo switch owner. I'll say it's being able to play a game on like a flight or I mean if I were in the back of my parents car like I understand the concept and I'm I'm floored that I didn't have one 'cause that's knocks but like I still think I could feel very comfortable. Moving Gameboy and over frosted tip for sure because none of the blizzard frosted tips. Liked me Well maybe you just didn't meet the right ones I wore a pook. Nicholson everything just wasn't working doesn't give it goes SORTA SUBMITTED. Jonathan Taylor Thomas Those aren't frosted on purpose. I don't think yeah they a Google. Best friendships ninety. It's gotta be like dark with the blunt. Yeah those are more like highlights. He's got like market McGrath. It Mark McGrath is it. I think I still think it's JT. Anyway Plan I say he's the most famous but he's not like the best example for saying it's attractive. Well whatever it's either sorry keep going. I think we move on. I think we don't move it. Only move gameboy on are we all nine game boy. I have to take the dog out at some point so we do have to move quickly. Let's do it actually. Okay with Gameboy. Yeah Hello K next match-up Napster versus the Oregon trail. Oh Wow ooh bad for me. Napster is the napster. I am like my number ones and I just don't think I can see Napster. Going down to orbit. Control was fun but Napster introduced me everything that I learned that I loved. Yeah but also listen to the music that I wanted to hear for the first time not to be such podcast cop. Do WE CARE THAT. It was like wildly illegal and like robbed a lot of our favorite artists of money that they deserved. No just wanted to establish that I'm not against say do we care? Is THE WRONG QUESTION. Like yeah I think. Obviously in retrospect like you know not not a great thing to do but it was. It was a gigantic crime ring that we all participated in and think of very fondly but. I'm sure artists think about it very differently. It did lead to the world that we're in now and the model we have now streaming services and stuff like that so. I think that that alone is like okay. At least we figured out. We didn't know at first how to do it right. But now we try to So I think I think it's fine I just don't want you know cops yelling at us about it to me. This divide is like early nineties as my youth versus coming versus teens. I think Napster moves on Oregon trail though shout. It was the best taught us how to use the computers that we then used to pirate music and had it not been for Oregon trail. We couldn't have used napster but we do love Napster. More and so Oregon trail we think of you fondly but you've died of dysentery also went out for when you're choosing the names at the top of the game and you like named Somebody Fart man that.

They still can't win people steelers get it done but they do take out Mason Rudolph so we'll see what that means Baker Mayfield and the guys in Cleveland. They get it done against. The dolphins tends not surprised about that saints in the Panthers One of the better games. They're great performance from drew. brees once again. Mr Clutch gets it done gets. It's his team down the field in amazing ways. Jets beat the raiders. And that's kind of a surprise. Because the raiders have been a little bit of a pleasant surprise so far seahawks continue their their winning ways redskins beating the lions without Mattie Stafford so not surprised there titans they showed up and Ryan Tannehill this guy man. S. C. Michael Pittman a circus catch of a thirty yard touchdown pass from Keaton's Lois. yeah well played by am I mean you talk about making making that right by the pylon toe Tappin kind of there is feet getting pushed out but that all ultimately get back and I think that's what he gives you that physical vertical thread I mean he's the Primera Seaver I mean to have three Primera Sievers but was his turn today and that's a friendly option for any true freshman quarterback I look forward to seeing more of that all year long Trojans taking twenty four to seventeen lead at that point B. Y. U. though they they had answers they had a drive that ended up in a field goal thirty two yarder for Jake Oldroyd made it a one possession game or B. Y. "So when you say that a six pack of hot question. I've never had to do the cores light, silver bullet six pack questions or something. Oh god. And we bring in Sean Salisbury for that, Sean. And then we would always tape it during the afternoon prior sportscenter. And then you sit there and you go question number two, the cores lay silver bullet six pack of questions that Wendy's triple. Three questions score on through. They did sponsor anything everything. They did. That's why they're worth a couple billion dollars already poll question. What do we have? Put up who's the it's unfair to put up his pulpit. Who is the better offense player think the best better? I gave Jordan Kobe and hard and as you'd expect it to Jordan, Paul everyone voted for Jordan. Yeah. And what happens is people misconstrue this that, you know, I'm saying that James harden is better than Michael Jordan. He's a better more versatile ofensive weapon than Michael in Kobe. That's all. So. And I think he's underrated. I think it's commonplace that you just go. He had another great night. And look he's brought this on himself because he hasn't done anything in the postseason. And if you're going to be a great player, then that's when you have to do it. You're going to be unstoppable. That's when you do it, you know, Jerry, West one title, and I think he lost in the finals eight times. But if you look at his numbers, he averaged forty something game. I think he was the MVP losing to the Boston Celtics. He was the MVP of the NBA finals. That's how Grady was but he didn't win championships. And you know, it was held against Jerry that he he was Mr. clutch and he didn't win. But I wanna know did you do your part when you got to the postseason? I think that that's you know, when we start to assess greatness here Koby, micro always going to stand down because they won titles six and five James harden won anything. "But it's also Super Bowl week. So I thought we combine those together we're going to go every other pick. We're going to draft the rosters. We want for the Super Bowl not for the long-term just for this one game. And as an honorable human being I'm gonna give you the first pick. We'll have excited to have the first pick in in most instances. I would always go at a quarterback. But I'm gonna go with the best player on the field. And that is Aaron Donald from the LA Rams. I'm going with the disruptive pass rusher. Together, they can dominate the gay from inside out. I know that he has to check the timing of the quarterback. He has to get Tom Brady office spot. He can do that. He also can take care of the running game. Aaron Donal deflate a year. I think he may be back to back defensive player of the year by the time. This video airs I'm going ninety nine you go there and Donald for me, I pick. I'm gonna do. Sometimes things are obvious for reason. I'm gonna go the guy that's been in this game. One hundred times. I'll go to Tom Brady who was Mr. clutch coming off of a year and everybody talked about how they lost that game to the Philadelphia Eagles no-fault Tom Brady when you look at the numbers he put up he delivered in a big way in that game. Plus, I know he's got a little support better offensive line better run game. There is nobody I trust more on the Super Bowl stage than TB twelve. I will go Tom Brady with my first pick book. I mean, that's a nice pick. Hope you get a couple of referees. And some penalty flags to heal. Spare you from three interception game? Go ahead. Where am I going where I know? I know. Pickett? Even know picking up still trying to figure it out right now. I already picking James white with third Fiqh. And the reason I pick in James white with the third pick is because an impasse two Super Bowls. He has been the biggest office of player for the new pages. They are leaning on him. They can continue to lean on him. I think he surpasses what he's already done before in a Super Bowls. I think he may have fifteen receptions in this game. Because maybe to run a game isn't going James white is an impact player. I think he might hoist up to MVP trophy if the patriots win. Well, I take it back. I did not know you go on because I thought running back. I did not think it was James. I'm going with the obvious one. Here. Todd Gurley is gonna have a rebound game. I want to go girly really with my wish it look. I don't think he's totally healthy. But I think two weeks to get healthy. He's going to be the healthiest early we've seen in a while. And what he can do not only run the ball. You talked about James white catching the ball. Girly can do that as well, except he's not be catching the ball in the flat book. He's going to be going down the rail. He's going to have a long touchdown catch in this game. You can Mark the tape. Market right now. Todd Gurley will have a touchdown reception of forty plus yards in the Super Bowl. You can take that to the Bank. So I'm gonna go Todd Gurley with my second pick. I mean, I like your second pick. I liked girly. I think Todd Gurley is the engine that makes the offense go, but the guy who's going to have to make all the place with the Rams is it got it. I'm taking with this big. And I'm going with Jerry Goff. Jared Goff has started to prove that he is settling in very comfortably. As a franchise quarterback. We saw how he was able to live in the NFC championship game. He made big plays. When his best player wasn't really available or not playing. Well, he continued to find a way to get this offense going Jared Goff is to pick for me. I think he's gonna have a big game Super Bowl. Yeah. I mean, look at strategy probably could have waited because already took my quarterbacks you could wait a little bit longer there. But hey, you know, I'm not here to hold out. We talk about this. We're talking about quarterbacks. We're talking about best players. I think he's having outstanding performance off Gough could have been my backup there..

"Oregon mandate made the run that you would expect a team like Oregon to make they came back. They took a five point lead with just two minutes to play. But Mr. clutch, Jalen Noel game-tying three the game winning free. Throws in the final seconds in Washington gets the victory. Yeah. You know, what we thought we control most of the game we played really well in spurts. And then they started a precedent. And it was like, you know, the sky was falling. You're watching it. We're we're we're we're trying to get the right spots. And. Exerted so much energy. And sometimes fatigue makes cowards of us. All you started seeing the ball flyover. They were aggressive had to tip your hat to Oregon. They were really really aggressive recap. You only have a certain amount of timeouts we finally called a couple and just try to call them down. And then, you know, just get back to showing poise and it was interesting. We got down five a lot of people thought it was done. And our guys showed a lot of resiliency and a lot of poise. They gathered we got stops when we had to do it. And then obviously Jalen with the big shot the where they call the foul. And sometimes you'd rather be lucky than good to come out with a victory and some great film to learn from we didn't play our best. But it's always great to teach after a win rather teach after loss. Yeah. No doubt about it. Oregon scores fourteen on answer to take that five point lead. And there's two thirty three left in the game there on this fourteen run against you. That place is loud. It was going crazy. What were you telling your guys at that two thirty Mark you're down by five and just trying to stay poise. Well, listen, we've been in these situations before I mean, we've been down at halftime big numbers. We've been down late big numbers at the end of the day. This is what we have to do to win. And we have got to get it. We gotta get a stop here bottom line. And then down we started attacking their press. I felt like in the in the in the second in the first half, we attacked the press. We scored off at the second half. We kind of just broke it to get into our offense. And then they got some steals, then they got momentum. Meta just turned. And the big play was we broke the press. But teased dribbled on the baseline pass out. The Jalen made the big three on top of the key and was really aggressive. But the biggest thing was just show poison stay together. All you're trying to do is say listen to these next two minutes, we have to do this this and this and if we can execute this week and win the game. And the guys executed well as as part of this winning streak that you're on your really one of the top defenses in all college basketball. Here's some numbers for you at twenty second in the nation in defensive efficiency fifteenth in the nation in two point field goal defense tenth in the nation and steal percentage fifth in the nation in blocked percentage. Your defense in the final two-thirty allowed zero points. Obviously that was key. Yeah. And that's that's been our defense travels. You got Matisse liable and David crisp up top. They're they're like they went dancing with the stars. You know, they're the best combo up top. They works. Great off each other. They dance up there. They clap hands. They've got a great chemistry or forward to doing a good job up know guys like mirrored Sam and Noah been great center position. So they're getting better at it. And they're getting confident in it. And they're really I don't want to say intimidating. They've been great against the opponents and taking their strengths away. That's what good defenses do. Well, your defensive needed to give you a chance to go to overtime in this game. Because it's easy to forget. With a sixty one to fifty six final score that Oregon had the ball with dark shot clock and call a time out and they were holding for the last shot. And at that moment, you're talking your defense about what we're just making sure that we keep them out, Elaine. We have we got to have our best defensive stop possession of the year. I told one of the coaches when we got out. I bet you we get a steal for the wing. Because we're active and we're locked in. You know, because we were doing a great job in that game of not only taken away the three. But also it away the high post pass where a lot of teams try to try to attack him a base. And that's where David Matisse the Fords of done a great job. Prichard slipped a little bit. And then you know, we blew up. They talked about going on outside screen. He spun try to cross over little bit slept spun lost the ball. Bob were right there. You see Jaylen Noel, they're like attack is just waiting. You know? Great white sharks, smell the blood. You see him shoot for the ball and get it. And Jalen was aware of the clock. I could have thought I thought he was gonna take one more dribble to get closer. Where you could have got a great three. He pulls up a little bit further where you know, they got really aggressive out there. They call the foul and the greatest pictures when the whistle blows in. All Jalen does is put his hands up in the air. You know as a coach when you see your team. Start coming together. And you everybody's body language was surrounded held like, yes. And this and then you watch the bachelor and the whole benches hugging, and you know. You're trying to build a family, and a culture togetherness, and that is pretty cool to see those moments. Everybody really coming together. And in reality when we were down five if we weren't together. There's no way we came back for that went. So really proud of the guys showed a great team effort on that defensive play. Matisse Stibal did kind of help knocked the ball away from Pritchard as he was losing his balance. And can we get Matisse Stibal national defensive player of the year already.

"Sorry, forty Niners fan split. That was still an epic game. It really was. I didn't mention the giants forty Niners game in two thousand eleven. Okay. So sorry. Right. I didn't do it. Oh, also, another epic all-time gain that we didn't have on our list. But I wanted to mention this won the nineteen ninety eight and if C title game falcons Vikings the Vikings were fifteen and one that year that a chance to go up ten points late in the game. Gary Anderson who hadn't missed a kick all year. So basically, that's so's you up a trip to the Super Bowl misses. The Vikings ultimately tied a game. And then went in overtime, Chris Chandler, Jamal Anderson. Those frigging dirty birds all the way to the Super Bowl where they got smoked by the Broncos. But yeah, the fifteen in one Vikings again this another day where I was just kinda smile and do a little dirty bird at my house up in Chico. Just thought that was about the funniest thing I've ever seen. All right, number three. When you have like something a attached to your game like the play or the catch or the Dr John Elway. We know what happened with earnest Byner in eighty seven. But how about nineteen Eighty-six and the first seventeen AFC title games? There was exactly one fourth quarter lead change that all changed when John Elway led his team on a ninety eight yard scoring drive. Barefooted kicker. Rich Karlis tied the game. With an extra point also kicked the game winner in overtime, the legend of John Elway wasn't born at that point. I think he was already reaching that status. What do you say, Dave? I mean, you were around in the eighties was born that day. Oh, yeah. I think it was actually born way back before. But yeah, it was it was launched. Then John Elway superstar status Mr. clutch. "But I still didn't end up doing that. But I felt like I boxed out some to allow my teammates. Rebounds. And I feel like I was helping just moved the ball and just taking over shots to hit. You just had a couple of rebounds in this game part of that was your fault trouble. You can only be so aggressive when you get those early fouls. This is now a trend nineteen offensive rebounds in this game. That's a lot of offense rebound same thing for last game eighteen against Houston. How do you fix that Merlin? We just got a box out. We are got a box out. Our guys rebound the ball. I feel like will leak out a lot. And we ball Watson has heard this is hurting us because giving teams second opportunity started opportunity to score. But if we limit them limited to one shot that's gonna help us increase our lead to good news for you. As it is a w and I gotta ask you this. Jeremiah Martin's about the join us. What was that? Like watching him in the first half from the bench. Go for twenty one. Oh, he was cooking. He got hot early. And I felt like he was being a great leader on the court, and he was able to care to team. Get us there Lee because they was cutting it close in. I and I felt like he picked team back up, and he got on Dana g going on the court. And he was being a great leader. After congratulations given nice game for you. As always let's bring in the other senior who was Mr. clutch. That's what I'll call him that would be Jeremiah Martin after he gets twenty seventy at twenty one in the first half. But he also gets five rebounds. Which was the second high in the team, three assists, two blocks, three steals. And I don't know that. Yeah. You got hot last last game against Carolina at home where you just felt it. I'm not sure you've felt it any better than you. Just did in the first half of this game talk about that start. I was just playing. You know within myself in within the team and just trying to do whatever it takes to get a win. Hugh, you end up five I think you hit for your first five and after you hit your fourth you took one so deep I thought you were Tyler Harris. Not a plan with confidence. A a no I haven't been plan is too busy this year. But I feel like even the guy that don't play good least my personal goals. We get the win. I feel like is is good. Because I mean, I I really just wanna win just try to go as far as we can with his team. You know in my my career as a player, you you keep going up the charts here in in the in the scoring list now, and as you close in on twelve hundred points. I gotta ask you you. You you mentioned you hadn't maybe played up to the way you would played last year when you were the leading score in the league. But you take over the game in critical times. How do you get to that mindset? And should you get to that mindset earlier? Yeah. I think I should. Kinda like a kind of sit back and watch sometimes, but I really feel like when our team knees. Some anything like a rebound or may, maybe a Steeler defensive stop or. Bucket beat a person they can do it. And. And one thing I was trying to do today. Just try to get rebounds, assists, steals, and and score and critical free throws when you had to have it in critical bucket when you had to have it. It's like when when it's on the line, you're going to come through. What did they do to slow you down by the way in the second half before those last couple of place? Like, I say more bodies. They sent John you choose about six nine. Yeah. They kind of had him on me. But I really feel like I felt like I could beat him. But it just like they had more bodies in a they kind of like shrunk to court a lot on the same. Like that. In the second half. Wichita, what's I I think they was trying to do in the first half because I heard on the bench. But I think they kind of locked into it at halftime with the coaches, you know, they've met they had a good adjustment. But we still came out with great. What does it mean for MAURICE to hit big plays Jones to make crucial free throws down the stretch? Collectively? What does that do for you to this? Great because we we're going to need everyone on the team that plays. I feel like if they on head and get like get their rips, and you know, that build confidence down the road because we're going to like I said we're gonna need everyone on the team is gonna take elective effort for us to get lands. Especially on the road. They call you pay show because you're you're there for the money, I'll know knickknacks or a long time. Well, you were Mr. money, man. Thanks clutch. Man that I thank you. And now they are ill eleven and six and three and one that's going to be a long year for two lane. They are now four and twelve and Owen four in league play. I give them a lot of credit though, they were down eighteen they never game up. But the Tigers made the clutch plays at the end. And despite a minus thirteen rebound differential. The Tigers are winners. Again, they do it by four eighty three seventy nine you've got a week off next Saturday afternoon game. At FedEx forum, they will take on S M U. And let's see if this run can continue Tigers have not won eight of their last ten and have positioned themselves. Nice. Really in the American for Danny O'Brien. I'm Dave Wilson. "Caller ranking start ranking things. Dude. It's fun to rank your family members in your friends. I know it sounds like an asshole move, but you got a lot of shit done. Yeah. And then you actually, it's a little subliminal a little subtle jab. Where you tell your friends and your family shape up. That's why I haven't been returning your emails or texts like I used to because even Jag off these last few months or years or fill in the blank. I don't know if you know this. But everyone on my phone has a credit score rating. And every time they piss me off their credit either goes up or down. No matter wanna look this individual is eight forty. That's a good credit score. Who's the king of bed advice can't say, oh, but that that person is good credit with me? I'm watching a highlight of Reggie Miller. And he actually was calling James harden clutch the other day, that's a big win home. And if I'm James harden, I went home, and I heard somebody told me that or him telling me that it'd be like, wow. I guess I guess I really am that you know, like, I feel real good about being. Want to be clutch? All the superstars, but I don't I can't remember more clutch guy than Reggie Miller. Ran in for him to call you Mr. clutch. That's like that's like, gene. Gene doodo Jean Lebel saying you can be. Oh, no sorry. It was Roddy. Piper. Saying you can be rowdy. You know? I used to be rowdy, and I'm retired. You cannot use my nickname too strong. Endorsement one of the best one of the best sports moments. I call myself lucky to be able to view live nineteen ninety five Eastern Conference finals, you know. No just watching live viewing being alive for using little guy right for my time little guy, but I can hold. I can hold my own already any adult at my parents party one had a sidebar about NBA, Dan, Tom already collecting. Ten years old. Okay. But I mean, I I was already cutting newspaper clippings from like ninety four ninety three onward, you know, following following basketball like hardcore and being able to watch that turnaround. What was it? We're talking Knicks and Pacers. Right. Yeah. Yeah. And believe I can't was it. What was it like nine minutes, and some points even reference actually that in my Brian Ortega article when I was talking about his skill set post. This Frankie Edgar knockouts around his back may and just comparing him. He is an essentially coming to the conclusion that you know, comparing him to Babe Ruth kind of in the article, but he was essentially a clutch player and we all love clutch players. And that was a good example of a clutch player for may. And I felt better reference in Reggie Miller. And I kinda reference that one but thank Saint back Miller in their house. It incredible finish when the Pacers played the Knicks in the mid nineties. He scored eight points in six seconds. You know, I left your house. I can't believe in and take his own life. Those four. Friends that you're talking about or those three friends you guys all rented a house, and I was at that house. And I thought they were done I got in my car, and I left, and I remember when I got home, you told me what had happened, and I did not believe you. And I even like, I don't have a phone back then. So I waited awhile before I actually found out that it was true. And the only time I can ever remember something like that happening in may was when saint-pierre lost to Sarah.
