You know, I got a chance to put my emotions, man, man, man, you know I got a chance to do that. You know the entertainment stuff I enjoyed doing that I'm gonna chance to travel the world and things like that. So, um, but for some reason, my spirit my heart was saying Go back. Go back. Go back to prison, go back to prison. But now there's an inmate but as an employee's, um so based on my experience that I've become Acquired. I've been in America went back, Shawn. I went back like there was a job posting at the clinical supervisor, and that's what specialized in and the thinking in the Congress. No cognitive behavioral therapy. There was a job available. I went back. I put my resume and, um You know, not knowing that we're going to give me the job, but I put it in any way and they gave me the position Is that normal to hire a next convict that they'd almost 20 years to become like a Like, you know, clinical smile. Now you sound like right. So I guess a lot You survived the streets against the largest survive almost two decades in prison. Against all odds. You became an actor on some of the hottest shows in the country. Against all odds. You go back to prison, but as a clinical Uh, you know, Supervisor that means that you were in charge of the CEOs in some level, Correct? Yes. Let me tell you Tell you what happened before that. It was the Hollywood Christmas parade. I am on a float. Just imagine that I'm on a float at the Hollywood Christmas parade waving that sounds of people on Hollywood Boulevard. Was the first time I've not been on paper since I was a child, so moving forward while forward When I got a job working at the jail As the clinical supervisor. My counselor. From 1993 when I was in prison. My counselor who was correctional counselor. In the jail that I work in. What has become my colleagues. Wow. Against all odds, baby and he looked at me and said, I know you from somewhere. I'm like, Well, you don't look familiar. I thought you might see me on TV or something. What? He went in Google me and said, Oh, my God. I was his prison counselor, and now he's my colleague. Wow And he said he said, Man, you do what you wanna do. And so, um, I was preparing these gentlemen to re enter the community by changing the their thought process, which is their values and beliefs system. So that hell I felt Like I'm being used like my palms and like my palms are down so you could give me a little emotional sometimes. I feel like my palms were down. Helping. I'm using my past to be my greatest asset. Because against all lives, and I'm not supposed to be a success. Was statistically. Statistics. Don't have a pulse, right? Oh, that's good. That's good. Right there. Yeah, that's crazy. Now tell this story brother you actually came face to face with the person that That, uh, that ratted you and sent you away for 20 years. And this is a person that you projected like you wanted it. Turn around and and you know you you you thought many, many nights about this individual, right? Yes. You know, it's Hayward, the one that actually introduced me to the hustle the street life. And he was the first one that showed me how to cut it, You know, you know, Cut that stuff up. Um Yeah, he got arrested with with some stuff I gave him And but that's part of that lifestyle. Hmm? You got to understand This is the good bed of you. But Like I said, l a shot. I gave my life my wits to care of this hustle to the care of the streets. But the big home Boys never talk, has never groomed or talked about the other side of lifestyle. So 28 years later. My clinical supervisor. Bus comes in. Remember. I used to be on that bus when the black box with the leg on with the belly chain with a paper machine jumpsuit, which recite my number nine to weigh five seven Dash old one, too. And here I am with my clipboard. As the correctional officers like I've been doing for years. Working in this position. So these people will get off the bus. Label. Get off the books.
