"Carter ver hegi and Alex Lyon led the panther 7 zero assault on the blue jackets. Verhage scored four times, giving him 40 for the season. Sometimes you just shoot it and it goes in and I got a couple of really good passes from guys and I mean a couple open nets and shot the puck in the net and it was pretty good. Lion made 21 saves for the cats who moved past the penguins for the second wild card in the east and two points behind the islanders. Sam Reinhart added a goal and two assists for Florida, which also received goals from Nick cousins and Eric stahl. Deaths were reported in Tennessee, Illinois, Indiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi. Plus thousands of homes and buildings destroyed or damaged according to officials at a strip mall in Little Rock Arkansas Joanna McCain huddled with other customers as a tornado blew the roof from another building. Trump indictment ends decades of perceived invincibility

"The indictment of former president Donald Trump ends decades of perceived invincibility. Trump is expected to fly from Florida to New York Monday, stay overnight at Trump Tower, then head to the courthouse Tuesday for his arraignment. He'll be booked fingerprinted and a mugshot taken, but no handcuffs since federal agents surround him, despite 40 years of legal scrutiny, the man long nicknamed Teflon Don is facing charges, including at least one felony offense related to hush money payments to women during his 2016 campaign. He denies this and calls it political persecution. Trump could ask the judge to dismiss the case, even if it moves forward, there's no guarantee of conviction. Intensifying investigations in Atlanta and Washington are seen as potentially more serious legal threats. Julie Walker, New York

Kevin McCullough Reacts to the Indictment of President Trump

"Kevin. I wanted to get you on if possible to talk about what happened last night, the indictment of president Donald Trump. What is your reaction to this? What do you have to tell us? Well, I think as a news story, this has been discussed at nauseum to the degree that it could be for the last three to four weeks without any knowledge of what was going to be in the indictment. And sadly, until the indictment is unsealed by judge, we still won't know what is in the indictment, so we don't know what the charges are. We don't know what Alvin Bragg is claiming. We don't know what the grand jury is claiming. We did learn one piece of new news from some source and it appears that the case doesn't involve only stormy Daniels, but also the other woman that was involved mcdougall in those payments. And at the end of the day, Trump's position hasn't moved, he said all along. He didn't make the payments, doesn't only thing about him. Didn't know anything about him. They were put in his ledger as legal expenses, which is what I would put if I had payments that I made to lawyers, so we're kind of still at square one where we were when they leaked the word that they were going to arrest him and there was going to be an indictment, but then nothing happened for weeks. We're really no further along. It's a sealed indictment and it won't be unsealed until a judge unseals

The AI and Crypto Worlds Are Intersecting

"Adam, the crypto and AI worlds are intersecting what is happening. Yeah, it's an interesting moment. So first up, the debate over AI is heating up. And as they disruptive reality of products like GPT four continues to emerge, some big names within the world of tech have been asking for a pause. But that's not a good idea, at least according to coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and comments that point to just some of the issues that could emerge from such a move. Those potential issues include who exactly would have the power to order this, who would be enforcing it, and how, in a world of so much disagreement, you would actually be able to pull it off. I've got quite a bit of thoughts personally on this one, but Jen, why don't you go ahead and start us off? Yeah, well, it's not surprising to see comments like this from Brian Armstrong, I think. I think he's seen firsthand what happens to an industry when there's unclear regulation when there's over regulation that kind of gets ahead of innovation. So I wasn't surprised to see Brian's comments. On the other hand, I'm not really sure how to think about AI. When you read further down, when one of the articles, the petition that has been signed by Elon Musk amongst others, points to an ethical dilemma when we introduce machines into human tasks. It talks about machines taking over and workplaces, et cetera I know Adam, you'll take us into the detail there. But for me, when I read that, I think that it's more of a human ethical question. And we shouldn't be discussing ethics when it comes to the technology. And so I guess my very uneducated opinion on this so far is that that ethics piece needs to be removed from the technology piece, and I'm not really sure how to address it. So Sam, I'm gonna toss it off to you. Yeah, one of the things that I think is interesting to do here is kind of not only what this Brian Armstrong story, but just what this entire AI thing coming up after crypto has kind of started crumbling at least in some respects, particularly with the market and the prices and all that. One of the things that I've had fun doing is kind of comparing and contrasting the dialog, the discourse around these two technologies because in some senses they've been kind of compared as very similar in terms of being these sort of pipey VC driven sort of in some sense, not saying this is true. But in some sense, like AI and crypto have been called bubbles with regards to how they've been treated by investors and DCs and so on and so forth. But one of the things that I think we have seen as a dividing line is this sort of safety and ethical component

Rep. Barry Moore: Trump Indictment Is a Chance to Heal the Country

"Does Trump overcome that? He's still going to have that challenge if he's the nominee going into 24. Well, you know, one of the things I tell her by the process that I went through, the lord says that fuel humble himself, if yourself before him, he will elevate you before man. And so I pray that president Trump gets to a point that maybe the lord does a great working is hard. I think that there's an opportunity here to heal the nation and to reach people that we haven't reached previously. I mean, think about it for many, many years, minorities in communities have claimed that the justice system was weaponized against them. If they step back and look at this for what it is, they see that we're all engraved danger if they can go after Donald Trump, they can go after us. And so we'll see. But we need to pray for the president, but the process I would not be here today had not been through that process in 2014. So the lord of break you to make you to shape you and sometimes you go through some tough times, but I just want the president and his family know that we're praying for him. We're going to support him and I think the American people will show up as well and we'll have a one heck of an election in November 24. Well, and one of the things that got you through it is your amazing spouse. And I know it's not the first time you've heard it. Man, you outkicked your coverage. Brother, listen. The ham sandwiches were her ideas. She's like, hey, let's hand them out. And no doubt, man. The lord is we were a great team. And she's a comms major ran my campaign for your charge. That's how we were able to win with so little money. And one thing I want to mention to people that are paying attention, the speaker rates and how that played out, the Republican conference up here in D.C., the members of 70% of us are new since Trump was elected. So there is a different move in the country. It's more about the American people and representing them and making this nation great again. And I think we need to continue to grow that movement to get behind the president and push back against this weaponization and the attack on liberty that we so appreciate. And Joe, and sometimes I think honestly, take for granted in this country. Well, then

Is it as adversarial as some in the national media would claim or do you find there are still enough good people out there in the heartland to take care of business the way it should be done? Well, I do believe we have good people here and people are working on it. It doesn't make it easy though. It's never easy to get something done. It seems like, but as we are working forward in Iowa, we have gotten some great things done. We have school choice in Iowa done. Bolsonaro returns to Brazil after 3-month stint in Florida

"Brazil's former far right populist president returned to his country to seek a new political role after a three month stay in Florida, jair Bolsonaro had left Brazil just before the end of his presidential term. His absence meant he did not hand the presidential sash to his successor Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, who had narrowly won the October election, Bolsonaro's move was a break with tradition, and was followed by a hoard of his supporters storming government buildings a week after Lula took office, seeking to oust the new president from power, some experts believe now that Bolsonaro has returned his first objective will be to rally opposition to luda's governments. However, his aim to reassume political prominence may be obstructed by a series of investigations, including whether he incited the January 8th uprising. I'm Karen Chammas

"I'm talking to Steve dais, it's spelled DEA CE, we're going to talk about his book rise of the fourth Reich. But right now we're talking about the film. Another thing that's coming out, April 14th, it is a film called nefarious. I was privileged to watch it and Steve, I'll tell you. There's a lot to talk about with regard to this film because it's not anyone who has written fiction or understands that world as you do and I do, and obviously as C. S. Lewis did, it's a curious thing when you're writing about almost anything, but when you're writing about the demonic, how do you portray that? Realistically. C. S. Lewis, I would argue, gives us almost like a Disney version of the demonic in the screwtape letters. It's not, it's kind of a musing and it's theologically correct, but it's not scary. If you're confused. It's not a menace. Satanic evil, satanic evil is just disgusting and scary and foul, on a level that most of us were not quite aware of. And so what you do in the film, which is, again, not for kids, but you make it more real. And so let's talk more about that. You were just giving us the well, the plot of the film, nefarious. Tell us again so people can understand. It's a little bit like Silence of the Lambs. It's a psychiatrist talking with a serial killer. Most of the film. Who claims he's a demon named nefarious and so of course everybody thinks this is just a scam insanity play. The court appoints a left wing secular atheist psychiatrist because frankly, that then Jordan Peterson, there really aren't any other kinds of those. And the psychiatrist thinks I'm just coming in here to collect my per diem. And I'm going to check the box. This will be a cursory review. We'll all move on with our lives. And he doesn't understand. He's going to find out in this film that he is not he's not just randomly appointed. He was summoned by this entity.

Matt Walsh and Charlie Unpack the Radical Trans Movement

"You've been so persuasive on this topic. The film, what is a woman is one of the best I've ever seen, not just on this in this genre, but more broadly. However, some people Matt and I think you're moving the overton window. They feel uncomfortable because they'll say this, but why do I care what you believe with yourself? You know, why would I care if a man thinks he's a woman? And your response is, well, first I care about the truth. And secondly, that's not what we're debating here actually. We're not debating somebody's own personal imagination in their bedroom. What we are debating is why do we have to reconfigure society and accommodate your delusion so that ordinary people have to change our customs, our code of conduct, our language, how we raise our children to pander to an ever radical, mentally unstable minority. Right, exactly. If this was actually just an issue of people in their own homes who are perceiving themselves a certain way, then obviously the thoughts you have in your head, that's not that doesn't automatically become an issue for anybody else until you decide to make it an issue for everybody else. And that's what they demand. Look, the trans movement, the gender ideology movement. This is not clear by now. I don't know when it will become clear. They will not allow you to not care. That's not an option. They're leaving on the table. What they're saying is, no, you need to care about this. This is relevant to your life, but here's what you need to think about it and say about it. They want you to care about it in a certain way and come to certain conclusions. And they're not leaving any other option. This is just the gauntlet has been laid down long ago. Neutrality is not an option, is what they always will say. This idea of live and let live. It's really live and let them rule is what it is,

"moves" Discussed on The Doug Collins Podcast

"The abortion case roe V wade. We'll talk about that a little bit here in a little in just a little while, but we'll also talk about a prayer case that just came out of it. It was called Kennedy Bremerton, school district. These two cases in particular sort of highlight the movement of this court from a sort of living, breathing less decided as we feel at this moment, cases with using the constitution in the backdrop, but now the cases are being decided to say, no, we're going to look at the what the cost usually says, we're going to decide does that fit with our federalist system of government? Does it fit with the enumerated powers? Does it fit inside the constitution itself? And if it does not, then we're going to reject it and send it back. Now, there's been a lot of criticism of the court over the last few weeks. And I've heard the hyperbole of many saying that the court is now, you know, it is politicized. The court is illegitimate. It's interesting that the same people who are now saying it's illegitimate and politicized are the same ones that applauded decisions such as an ObamaCare and decisions that have been made up until this point. And when it, again, the part of the problem that we're having in dealing with the courts is that people bring their political bent and bias to say that it should be decided by what I believe is right, not as against the standard of the constitution. The courts were actually hard to say, this is a Christian a theocracy. We've heard all kinds of things. Over the past few weeks, but let me just put it very simply to you right now. That's not what the court's job is. The court's job is not to in all fairness from a conservative liberal perspective, whichever you want to bring this to it. It is to interpret the laws pass by the states or the federal government in light of what does the constitution say. If it's not in a cost usually issue, the courts are not going to deal with it. It should not deal with it. If it is within the framework of what they can decide in the constitutional structure, then they are and should probably be taking more cases. These have to be understood because if you don't take it as a look at law, a dispassionate look at what the law says. It goes back to a statement that I've made many times before and that is, is that we vote in this country on words on paper, not ideas. Now, before you start to turn it off or you start yelling at your in the air at the computer screen or wherever you are listening to this podcast, hear me clearly. You do have the ideas that come forward. We do pass ideas that are made in determining what we want to have. So if we have this idea that we want to form a government and we what is the powers of our armed services, we want to have a new program that is designed to help us. Those are all ideas, yes. But at the end of the day, it's about words on paper. What do you actually vote on are the things that are actually subscribed down and written out, just say, here's what and how we're going to go about doing it. That is all, frankly, that the courts should be looking at. They'll take into account president, they'll take into account pass, they'll take into account other ideas that have been put forward. But at the end of the day, they'll look at the law, they'll look at the decision before them and they'll say, is this something that we say yes, is constitutional. This is something as a proper role of government. This is something that our founders had set for saying, this is what we believe this limited form of federal government ought to be a part of. Now, this is not going to be make anybody happy. Again, when you get a ruling that you don't like. And there's been for many of us. We've had rulings that we don't like. ObamaCare, justice Roberts made it clear that the way ObamaCare was continued, although many of us almost ten years ago thought this was a very bad decision from the court. He based it under a tax code, which was not even argued by the Obama administration at that time, but they found the connection to the commerce calls, which and then found this connection to the constitution, which then, while I found it, is they will say this is a reasonable act formulated by Congress. Now, I can politically disagree with that. And I can do everything I can to change that law, but the cost of what the Supreme Court says, look, under the framework of what we see is the constitution, this is a legal law that can be carried out. When it comes to the decisions of surrounding First Amendment rights, Second Amendment rights, freedom of expression, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly free, establishment clause, the things that government are often around. This is when it gets to be more and more problematic to those who believe that the courts are there for political help as opposed to the constitutional version of three branches of government, which you have a president. You have exactly if you have a legislative and you have a judicial branch. These are the areas of concern that have to be dealt with in court cases. So let's take very.

I need <Speech_Male> to get there now. <Speech_Male> And that's like good <Speech_Male> decision. That's saying <Speech_Male> now the high percentage <Silence> stock <Speech_Male> is <Speech_Male> an option. It's not <Speech_Male> always an animal <Speech_Male> that's bedded down. It's when <Speech_Male> they give you <Speech_Male> the advantage. <Speech_Male> And now it's time to go. <Speech_Male> Now you have to make that <Speech_Male> move. And now you <Speech_Male> got to get into position. <Music> <Speech_Music_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> When it comes to <Speech_Male> spot and start cutting, <Speech_Male> a lot of the <Speech_Male> success <Speech_Male> depends on or hinges <Speech_Male> on, <Speech_Male> the decisions you make, <Speech_Male> and when you <Speech_Male> make those decisions, <Speech_Male> you're <Speech_Male> always looking for <Speech_Male> that little bit of an <Speech_Male> advantage. And sometimes <Speech_Male> that comes by <Speech_Male> just being patient, <Silence> sometimes that comes <Speech_Male> by <Speech_Male> essentially being <Speech_Male> impatient and making <Speech_Male> the right move fast. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> I always <Speech_Male> like that kind of <Speech_Male> area <Speech_Male> between <Speech_Male> finding something. <Speech_Male> And then <Speech_Male> maybe waiting <Speech_Male> and then saying, <Speech_Male> now is the time I need to <Speech_Male> make that move. <Speech_Male> It's go time. <Speech_Male> I got to get in <Speech_Male> and I got to make this <Speech_Male> happen. <Speech_Male> I love <Speech_Male> looking for those stocks <Speech_Male> that the animal makes <Speech_Male> a mistake and it <Speech_Male> gives me an advantage <Speech_Male> to kind of <Speech_Male> play catch up and <Speech_Male> have a little <Speech_Male> bit of an upper <Speech_Male> hand in some way. <Speech_Male> So I <Speech_Male> hope that helps you guys <Speech_Male> kind of <Speech_Male> sort out those decision <Speech_Male> making processes. <Speech_Male> When you get <Speech_Male> into a position where you <Speech_Male> find something, <Silence> I think <Speech_Male> that <Speech_Male> Spartans thought kind of <Speech_Male> can be very difficult. <Speech_Male> And a lot of those <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> decisions that <Speech_Male> end up <Speech_Male> coming up during a <Speech_Male> hunt, <Speech_Male> you might take you <Speech_Male> multiple hunts <Speech_Male> to kind of experience <Speech_Male> all these little things, <Speech_Male> but you'll start to figure <Speech_Male> out what works <Speech_Male> for your hunting strategy. <Speech_Male> And what works for <Speech_Male> the scenario, <Speech_Male> where you're hunting and <Speech_Male> that particular animal <Speech_Male> you're hunting for that time of <Speech_Male> year. <Speech_Male> Every every single <Speech_Male> second, it might be <Speech_Male> different, but <Speech_Male> having a few things <Speech_Male> to base your decisions <Speech_Male> on kind of <Speech_Male> really helps you decide, <Speech_Male> okay, should I wait for <Speech_Male> a better opportunity <Silence> or should I make a move <Speech_Male> now? <Speech_Male> Until next <Speech_Male> week, I'm just going <Speech_Male> to say, <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Music_Male> make <Music> a move. <Music> <Music> Yes.

"Now the last factor that I consider a lot when it comes to a weight or go stock planning method. Would be the kind of behavior for the animal that I'm hunting that time of year. The rut can be one of the best times of year to hunt any species. So whether it's Elk, deer antelope, it doesn't really matter. They're out there moving more. But there's certain phases of the rut where they're cruising a lot more. Now, especially when it comes to mule deer, think about the cruising phase, when a buck is by himself and you just moving and looking for doughs, there's a very few times that you'll see a deer and then see that deer again because he's just moving is moving from spot to spot, even sometimes checking a group of doughs and then immediately moving on. So in that moving phase of the rut for mule deer, it's very hard to relocate some of the same deer actually last year. I saw during that phases like single bucks just cruising and there's one buck probably like a 190 inch meal there. I didn't have a tag that particular unit. But I saw this deer cruising. I was like, all right, that's a big buck. And we did have a guy coming in with a tag later on. I was like, I want to try to keep tabs on this particular deer. But that gear from the time I saw him, if I had a hunter with us, we would have had to go right then because I knew that it's very unlikely that we'd ever see that deer again. And we continued to look for that deer and never saw that same deer a second time. So there's certain times of the year when animals are moving a lot, it's more advantageous to go in there because they're probably not going to be there later. They're moving, they're going to be in different areas..

"There's an option to keep tabs on the animal while I'm moving in, then many times I might say, okay, the conditions are right for right now. Yeah, it might be good to let him go bed, but I'm able to kind of continually get closer and still know where that animal's at until the point where I can then make another decision whether I should wait later or continue to move in and make that stock. So that's one thing that I really like to think about is there's a lot of hunts where I go out, I was like, oh, I see a big deer and you think, well okay, I should probably wait and until I get to the beds and I've got a good setup, but there's sometimes where it's like, well, I may never find it again. Maybe it's other hunter pressure like that all cunning story where somebody's gonna blow them out or there's covering nearby that I'll probably lose them in that cover and it was hard enough finding the deer. I've got limited time to hunt. And I say, okay, my best opportunity is going to be to stock in. And I've got an approach where I can continually keep tabs on this animal without them kind of seeing me I can peek in and everything's set up right for me to be able to start that stock. And if that animal does move, know where it's going. And the other consideration is asking yourself, do you know where the animal is going? One very effective tactic when you think of the stock is there's moving in on like a stationary animal, but there's also cutting off an animal that is moving. So if I've got maybe a deer feeding in the bottom of a basin and he's starting to work his way up a ridge and I look at it and go, if I can get to the top of that ridge above that deer, then I'm going to have a good opportunity to cut him off..

"There. So we'll just go there. It's kind of out of the way. It's another maybe a mile away, so we're like, let's just go check this out. So we start walking over there, and I see a herd of Elk piling over the ridge. Not running or anything, just feeding. That's the hurt. Those are the oak that I saw last night. And sure enough, over the ridge comes this really nice 5 by 6 bowl. It's like, that's nice. That's awesome. Watching them, I'm like, okay. Well, they're right there. And all of a sudden, the bowl just plops down beds. And I'll give a hundred and I'm like, we need to go. There's no way that we need to make a move. So we get in there and we're just trying to hustle. They're quite a ways away from where we're actually at. So we've got to go down and up this little canyon. And I'm like jogging. You're like, come on, just let's get, let's get there as fast as possible. Because it's going to be a kind of a foot race to these Elk. If somebody else spots them, it's the game on. So we get to the Elk and they're just like, I can just see or tips of a bull. And he's bedded in the way that he's on the other side of the hill, and it's just wide open. And we're about 450 yards at this point. And it's just not a good, he's better than the spot where he's going to be very hard to kill this pool. So I'm like, okay, I'm going to sit here and of course I was like thinking about it. I'm like, all right, we can wait here. And we can wait for this bowl to stand up. And he's going to probably feed onto our side of the hill, and we're going to have a great broadside shot. And when we set up it, we can move closer, maybe like 300 yards. And it'll be perfect, done deal. But I couldn't, I was thinking, I was like, man, there's no way somebody isn't going to come in here and just blow this up. There's going to be somebody who's going to mess this up for us. There's too many other hunters around. We have to make a move. We can't just sit here and wait. Because if we wait, if there's everything considered, there's no hunting pressure. I absolutely would have just sat up set up and waited for that bolt to move out and give us a good shot. I was like, we have to get aggressive and do something that's a little bit kind of pushing the limits a little bit. But it's going to be necessary. So the wind was pretty good for the approach they wanted to take. But my plan was to move around the mountain, get below the oak. Now there was a lot of Elk is a big herd. And hopefully get a shot on the bowl because you'd be bedded broadside facing that way. But what I didn't know is if the pitch of the hill was going to allow us to kind of make that stock..

Our here the airport which is normally the busiest airport and the whole of latin america with fifty million passengers every year right now it is virtually deserted for a business that can allow more employees to telecommute. We want you to do that. May of twenty twenty. The bureau of labor statistics reported that about thirty five percent of. Us workers were working remotely because of kovic. Many of those people found themselves working in bedrooms on the living room floor or even from closets and those arrangements got even trickier when they were roommates. Pats partners and children involved. Today's guest has worked from home since may of two thousand nineteen when she was hired by a company that was one hundred percent remorse. Hi my name. Is marie pizano. I'm the executive producer at a feminist calms agency based in brooklyn and massachusetts. She and her husband shared a one bedroom apartment but he commuted to an office job so she was able to set up a home office space and settled into a routine she also had access to a co working space and she made sure to schedule. Time outside of the apartment so i would say previous to the pandemic. I was probably out doing something one to two days a week. Honestly my favorite thing was just to go to a coffee shop in be one of those people on the laptop in the coffee shop for a while and i was really fun and i loved it. Of course the pandemic up ended with her home and her routine so obviously that became untenable pretty quickly. It was just we were just there. You know all day can't go anywhere. When her husband's company moved to a work from home model in march of twenty twenty they bowed assumed. The arrangement would be temporary. We really just didn't have the right space for two people to be working like there's probably enough square footage in the apartment for two people to work. We were in the same room and he works in a quiet job where he's focusing intently. Most of the day. And i work in talking job where i'm on calls usually on speakerphone zoom. For most of the day. It's impossible to do that. Same place and we definitely learned that we can't do this long term. When they found out on. Marie was pregnant that august. They knew they had to move and they knew they needed an apartment with space enough for each of them to work. We actually both said when we were looking for apartments. We absolutely when we were thinking about how we were going to lay out. Our apartments thought about what our workspaces would look like. But we also need to make sure that we're in different rooms. It's got a door you know between the two places that we're going to be and this is going to be your space and this is going to be my space and we knew that before we silently is because we were very lake. We wanted to do this rate and not have the same like stuff that we have now more. She makes any moves right after this quick break. Hi this is editor in chief smut. I'm samantha barrett. Welcome back to. She makes moves. Of course having a baby changed more than just the real estate and marie and her husband welcomed a son in april following three months of parentally. She returned to working from home fulltime in july. As of this recording. Her husband is still working from home to for the first few months of their son's life they relied on their parents for childcare. You know having a kid it's lake. He's here all the time in like. Maybe i'm not his primary caretaker while i'm working because someone else's here to do that and we're so glad that they are thank you but you can see the baby in the background in your lake. Oh i'm working but you can't help reacting in hearing it in the background. Starting in september on marie and her husband decided to send their son to daycare which was a big change financially. When i say babies are expensive. Listen because it's true. Daycare is as expensive as you think. It is and more since she stopped working in an office job. Anne-marie has spent less on transportation and less on lunch. you know. Stop spending seventeen dollars on a salad which she thinks. She's missing out on more ways to save particularly on her taxes. You know one thing that people talk about. Is this lake mythical home office exemption on your taxes and i would love to hear from an expert lake you know. A lot of people are like well it does exist. But not really. If you're at your table or not really that space can be used in a different way or you know you're freezing space. That's not really meant for that. She's also wondering if companies opt to go one hundred percent remote if people who work from home with the any of the money their employers are saving if companies are happy to go remote because it's less expensive for them they don't have to maintain a space. You know it makes operations cheaper. You know they are kind of passing those costs to them flays lake. Are we going to have a conversation about what that means for employees. And she'd like to know if the covert rules for working from home still apply when offices start opening up. What should your space look like. Is it okay to just have your normal messy living room in the background. How much can your company ask of you in terms of what your space looks like..

"Business travel how to make the experience better so again that relevance becomes the core of the job and it sounds like from what i see you. You've joined casper at quite an interesting time over the last year with everything that's been going on with the endemic. How has that changed. The experience made it different better or worse. I mean i think it's eh it's about a year and a half there and only through the pandemic so it's really instant credible leadership challenge obviously but it's also required a lot more listening to what's going on in the consumer Mindset there's people are handling so many other things right now and so even when we were doing work it was really important that we were testing that work and we were making sure it was resonating going back to what we were saying. In terms of relevance that it spoke to people that it encouraged them to think favorably about us. i think we were very Did research specifically on this brand platform new commercial that we did just to make sure we were really resonating and so think just listening. It's may be become much more attentive listener internally and externally. It's such a great tip. I would say for all marketers test and learn and i know we all do that. Have that mantra but especially now if you come across in a non empathetic way without keeping people's head space in mind it's wouldn't be the best. Look that's for sure. Also risk really significant alienation. Let's step back go backwards in time a little bit. But did you start off thinking you would become a cmo started your career. Did you have that goal in mind or did unfold as the goal to be right here with you know to be honest. Tony i understand you know this is like when when basketball has those lille those many edicts from the office you know from the league office points of emphasis going. We're gonna call more traveling. We're gonna call more charging and then they'll do in the regular season. This guy flexes a little bit after. He drove the pile with his legs. Like eight yards. I mean i thought that was pretty cool. He gets up and he gives a little flex and they call penalty on him. I know the league doesn't want what we see in the regular season all the time. Which is people flexing and going crazy and spinning the ball after every play and they used to call it then they stop and other back to calling it again tone. I don't wanna see flexing after every carey. I hate this stuff. you know. i'm the old man. Get off my field turf but you may feel differently. So i think taunting is bad. I don't think it's defensible. I didn't particularly think that this was taunting. We live in an era. Now we're all the leaves want to be on social media and attract attention so in baseball they tell you pretty much. It's okay to do a backflip in the nfl. They tell you it's okay to celebrate the end zone and in basketball somebody stares down somebody else on every single basket. I don't think you could have mixed messages. I thought this was just a proud accomplishment. As you said that the kid goes fourteen yards and he carries nine people on his back as an undrafted rookie and he ends up losing a yard because of this particular penalty. I don't think that's fair. It didn't seem reasonable to me. Bigger picture don't you want less flexing every sunday all day long in in you know a little less in every sport here we go agree. How long were you remember tyler gilbert for throwing a no hitter in his first major league start. I mean i'm remember gilbert in his first start tony. It's only four. People have done that you know in. The lhasa was nineteen fifty three. So i don't remember any of the other no hitters this year. Two of them were thrown by one by the white sox won by the cubs in my own town. I don't remember them. I'm gonna remember this kid because it was his first start. He's twenty seven years old. Yes i'm good remember it. It's not even the only one by the diamondbacks bax this year. If you can count which major league baseball apparently cannot remember this for a long time. It's the only one i'm going to remember. That's great because i'll tell you a two story. Our producer matt kelleher told me about this story around noon and i didn't know who he was. I didn't know it throwing the no hitter. I'd never heard his name. It was a late night game. I missed the entire game. So and also this is not like stephen strasburg debut was the overall number one pick and hello. He strikes out four team. I'm gonna give you the names of the other people that have done this straw. You know we did. Ted breitenstein in nineteen ninety-one version. Grade school you boy bumps jones in eighteen ninety two. Sorry and then bobo holloman in one thousand nine hundred fifty three so you gotta sting a bunk. This and abobo not a more volvo could have been tight i. I don't remember any of those. So many no hitters thrown by people who are themselves not great pitchers as i start games. I to tyler i start. You couldn't remember to somebody through one in his first. Start your blessing. Yeah don't do you remember bump this no you don't maybe more a minus five.

"Ab eight out of one hundred and twenty. So if i had to analogize. I would say that he is like joel is a dominant talent when he is out there but he ain't out there all the time. How many more games is he going to play of their remaining forty or forty two. Interestingly to me. And i want to get this statistic. Correct their forty seven. Forty one when he plays. They're twenty and twelve when he doesn't play. They're actually slightly better when he doesn't play though. I don't recommend him not playing. The problem with the padres is that ahead of them. One of those teams is a wildcard team. Either the dodgers giants gonna make the wildcard. Did this off cincinnati. They had to fight off saint louis and they have to fight off either philadelphia or atlanta because one of those teams is going to win the l. east and if they go up together you know you've got to fight them off and i don't. I'm not sure that san diego can do that. I'm really should be sure. I'm not sure either. I mean i i. i'm not sure if i'm taking. It wants to further. That'll give a damn. I don't care. Only to this extent. Tony i wanna see for. The atlanta braves have unbelievably exciting players. And you can walk. Vote to see them if you want. I don't care about cincinnati you know. I hate saint. Louis and i don't care about philly even though they got you boy harp. I want to see that tees. Honestly i don't have good phillies schedule. They're less amount blames also easy win thirty four..

"One more outing like that. 'cause he goes fourteen completions in a row against buffalo soldiers field this week Might be there might be there. Have you signed up. How many jerseys. How many number one. Fields jerseys heavy bordering just just to okay just to. That's good. I'm stuck in the pti boys and girls in today's episode the big ten pac twelve and acc discussing alliance. The nfl gets sensitive about taunting. And fernando totti's homeless twice in his return but we begin today with our first. Look at the top. Four quarterbacks in this year's draft in exhibition debuts trevor lawrence started for jacksonville was sacked fumbled on his first snap but recovered to make some nice throws sack. Wilson solid for the jets. Trae lands had bad numbers for the forty niners. But he had an eighty yard touchdown pass and at one point. As we'll bond said justin fields completed fourteen passes in a row for the bears. We'll we all know your answer. But i'll go through it formerly which rookie quarterback's performance intrigued you. The most well. Tony i do look at field. Try to look at him in this group setting and not just isolate only on him but it's comparative and even if it's comparative none of the others and the i i don't know that many of the others through is me passes. I mean a kid in new england. Who's backing up cam. He looked terrific on certain passes intermediate passes a gun of harm. Which you know. I don't know the people talk about that as much as his sense of pocket. Awareness and blah blah blah but tone. Yes i'm biased justin field. I mean you know in the running. He ran twice. He ran twice tone. He looked like a miniature. You saying bolt like you look back at the linebacker ones. Who was chasing him as if to say really you. That's what you got. You got some four six stuff. You're trying to run me down so to me. With my bias. Judging comparatively it was justin fields. I mean i know it's it's one week. I'm not going to go crazy as talking about you know make it all these big analyses of a preseason one but i thought it was fields. Yeah so i'm going to go back to the word of the question. The what is intriguing. And i will tell you. The most intriguing thing to me was at trevor lawrence started the game. I didn't think that was going to happen. I thought that they would start guard. Dementia so that tells me that urban meyer is all in on this kid. And he's going to take his lumps because that's a bad team. That's going to be like joe borough last year in cincinnati. That's not going to be easy to turn around. I'm gonna leave justin fields to you. I know you're gonna live and die with him. He's your account. I'm going to stay away from this. Thank you for mentioning mack jones. 'cause although he wasn't in the lead of the question because we saw him last week mac joe's look good. He got rid of the ball. And when we're was supposed to go. And my i don't believe that bill belichick would have drafted that kid if his good friend. Nick sabin hadn't sent him bill. He can run your offense right now. Well true but he's still got to do it. He's got to play mass. What he's gotta do. Yeah and so again. I'm looking at all of them. And right now tony. What's amazing. A chicago bear fan for more than a half century is. I'm not looking jealously at the others. 'cause usually that's what i have to do. I all of us in the ground behind you see the river behind us. All of us have to go in jealously saying wow. I wish we had that kid. All the wow. I'll i'll tell you this here is what is intriguing about justin fields and trae lance. They were drafted by good teams teams. That have recently been in the playoffs. They had an offensive line in front of them. They could be difference makers they're not going to have the first year that troy aikman and peyton manning hat scraped up back there. So that's intriguing that that is interesting. One quick question for you week. What justin feels as in the lineup. In place of andy dong week what three. Wow wow you me on that over underway. I got week six if they go in one. It'll be week two. Let's move the college football tony. In the reports that the big ten pac twelve. Acc discussing an alliance. This comes on the heels of the sec. of course adding texas and oklahoma and is notable that big twelve. Commissioner bob was reportedly left out elope tone does the proposed alliance make sense to you. So two things immediately jumped out and the first one. Is that the big twelve is not part of this. They are spoiled meat at this point when texas and oklahoma leave they got no future in a big twelve. The second thing that pops out of me is about the big ten. It's your conference mike. But i don't know why they're doing this. They're bigger and more important and their network is better than the two other conferences that they are talking to. They could if they wanted to. Just join with the sec bringing notre dame. And that's that the you don't need anything else. So what i'm thinking about it and you know better than i is. Maybe sort of the history of the pack twelve and the rose bowl. Maybe that has influenced the big ten. Because if i'm the big ten. I don't need these others at all. It's only you know. I agree with you about not needing the others but i will say this. You keep your ears open you have discussions with everybody. We know that the landscape is going to change so dramatically in the next two to five years that you don't know who's gonna be your neighbor. You don't know who's moving into your hood and who you're talking to over the backyard fence so you have conversations whether they are with notre dame you certainly have them with usc and ucla. You make fun of me for saying this. But i know you have them with the arizona schools. You don't really care about washington and oregon if you sit sitting here in chicago and the big ten office by the way is right behind the back there too. It's right here so this is not just a regional thing. This is chicago based and a lot of influence coming from this city. And by the way phoenix arizona. Now over the weekend. We found out stuff fourth big city in america past philly. Only trailing houston. La and new york. Now so you look at these shift changes telling you look at the demographics and you say okay. What is going to help us here. What would would boost our television network. So let's be selfish about this. Just let's look at our own interests. I like you. my first instinct is. We don't need them but we might need them going down the line tone so it makes a little so limit. I'm gonna just repeat what i've been saying for about a month. Futures worn giant conference the. Ncaa is completely dead. And what to the pac twelve and the acc give you well. They give you clemson. But don't think they give you anything else now it may be. It may be that the big ten says well. I don't want the acc to jump in with the sec. Right now because thirty to clemson and there are three traditional football powers that matter. They're down now. But at florida state miami and virginia tech come back then that that's a big deal it conference it would be in the big ten. It's not going to be interested in those schools. I i find that very difficult to believe the big to be interested in any of those three. Let's move to baseball. Doubt they dynamic return of fernando. Totti's junior yesterday taty smith's twelve games of the bad shoulder but bang to home runs. He went four for five in his first game back. Despite playing only eight games of one hundred twenty two t- still leads the national league with thirty three homers. We'll the padres or ten games back to the giants or six games back to the dodgers does the return of tat. Tease restore your faith in the padres. I never had any faith in the padres. And i'm not gonna have any faith in them. I don't really have any interest in them. I have interest in teddy's. That's why i have interesting. We know the one player. Tony is not going to necessarily lift a team. You can look at two players in the california angels. Recent history and the california angels are at best usually around a five hundred team and shohei doesn't change that might trout doesn't change it and fernando tateishi is not necessarily by himself going to change that for the padres. I don't care about the padres. I don't care i care about that tees. I can't take my eyes off him. I wanna watch him whenever he plays. Those two home runs last night please. This guy is so great. I just want to watch him so i understand that i understand. You love him personally. There was a time earlier in the year. We have pot. You thought the padres were on the ascendance and you thought. Maybe they'd always tell still are so. Let me get to this because he's played..
