Holidays Can Be Tough...

"To the Thanksgiving edition of the go karts podcast tomorrow is Thanksgiving and it is a great time for family and for friends and everybody to get together. And look, I get the holidays can be tough. They have been in my family. I mean, when my mother passed away four years ago, you know, those first holidays were always tough. And I've always, when I especially when I was passing, and no matter what the holiday was, I always try to remember, you know, we celebrate the holiday with us. And especially Thanksgiving Mother's Day Father's Day. You know, those kind of events are very in Christmas and all are very special, but they're special because they're typically celebrated with friends and family. And especially the family part. So if I just say this, if you're missing a family member this year, that's something that is going to be tough, but it's also the memories that you've had in the past that will make this a day in which you can be thankful. Thankful for the remembers, it's thankful for the family member. Thanks for that mom that aunt and uncle that friend. That is no longer at the table, but very much in your heart.

Sebastian Talks January 6th Updates With Julie Kelly

"Julie Kelly, welcome back to America first. Thanks for having me. I wanted to say I concluded my lovely Mother's Day last night by watching 2000 mules. It is just mind-blowing. You can not conceive that this happened in America that has been covered up this long. And I encourage anyone who has not yet seen it to take the hour and a half and sit down and watch it. I'm going to watch it again. Because I'm sure I've missed something, but great work there. Thank you, Julie. Salem now, dot com, watch the movie stream. It ordered the DVDs you've got to watch it. Okay, so The Washington Post gets a Pulitzer for its coverage of January 6th. This weekend, we saw against federal code and against Virginia code justice is being harassed outside their homes. Nobody arrested nobody a charge with sedition and insurrection. Would you give us an update, Julie on the latest developments with the political prisoners here in D.C.? Yes, first I want to say something about The Washington Post. Aside from other hyperbolic coverage and editorializing, they did a three part series about January 6th, which is a trove. Of little nuggets of information as to how certain lawmakers and officials in Washington, D.C., Avi knew so much ahead of time what was going to happen on January 6th. I've actually relied on that quite a bit, for example, Liz Cheney bringing a Secret Service agent retired Secret Service agent to the capitol that day and some other kids. Hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on. Liz Cheney had special protection on January 6th, so how did she know? Well, that's a great question. No one will ask, but that was a little tidbit in The Washington Post extensive investigation. It's what happened before during and after we also found out that Adam kinzinger told his staff not to come in that day, and I believe the reports that he brought a firearm, I believe that that's what The Washington Post in this series

Kirsten Gillibrand: These Justices Have Crossed a Line

"Let's have some peace and quiet. Unless you're Kirsten gillibrand, my friend texted me over the weekend, like I said when I was flying back saying you can't believe the way Kirsten gillibrand. The New York senator is ranting and raving to Jake tapper on CNN. Here's a little bit of what she sounded like. I'm very concerned that these justices have crossed a line that no one believed would be crossed. That they would purposefully create the impression that they would not overrule settled precedent and that it was not only deserving of do weight and the importance of precedent, but because it had been reaffirmed that it deserves more weight and then go ahead and overturn it, especially with the reasoning that justice Alito makes in this draft opinion. It's outrageous. And so Jake, back to the point. I think we should get rid of the filibuster. I think we should vote for our values. I believe we should fight for everything we believe in at this moment. This is about basic equality. It's about whether women in America have a right to make these decisions. Whether they have a right to decide who and when they have children with under what circumstances, you know, I wish Jake tapper would have said, senator, are you glad your mom didn't abort you? I mean, it's Mother's Day. Are you relieved that your mom made the choice to bring you into the world?

Bad Son (MM #4064)

"The mason minute. With Kevin mason. It's Mother's Day and I don't often admit when I'm a bad son, because I try not to be a bad son, but I think today I officially fit the ranks of being a bad son. Now with that said, the reason why? I thought Mother's Day was next weekend. I realized there's this thing called Google, and there's this thing called a calendar, and you can go look and it'll tell you when Mother's Day is. But I automatically, for some reason, thought, well, it's got to be next weekend. It's the second Sunday of the month. Although I realized, well, the first of the month was a Sunday, and so therefore, may 15th is the third Sunday of the month. So I was wrong. So I didn't send my mother a card. I will call my mother as I do each and every Mother's Day to talk to just say hello and kind of spend time with her. I know if I were a better son, I'd actually go visit her, but it's one of those things we've lived apart for so long. It's just easier to talk over the phone rather than see each other because it's both tiring and expensive for both of us. So I'll say hello to mom and that's a great thing. She's only been my mom for over 60 years, so but I'm a bad son today. I'm going to own up to it. I'm going to put it out on the Internet for everybody else to hear. Of course, luckily my mom's not on the Internet, so she won't know a thing.

Billy Graham's Daughter Ruth Speaks About the Epidemic of Loneliness in America

"Interesting first of all when you say generation z. I'm not sure what that means. Anymore tha roughly what age i talking about. Nineteen ninety five to two thousand fifteen. The twenty five year olds twenty twenty. Somethings on on okay. And do you think ruth they they think of themselves as lonely because you're right. It seems counter intuitive For any young person to be lonely. That's when you're in school that's when you're doing all kinds of things. Why do you suppose they think of themselves as lonely well. They are so connected technology with technology digitally but they have no real heart connections in. That's the problem. The grandson. We'll tell you you know. We have lots of connections but no real relationships. And i think that's the thing that's missing his relationship. I think it needs to be said over and over but this is a good place to start. There's something inherently one dimensional or at least shallow about social media. You're really communicating with much depth. And you've just said it the connection it. It's really a tenuous connection. It's tremendously superficial. It's almost designed to be superficial. But i've never really thought about how if you get a lot of that eventually. It would be almost painful. Because you'd be you'd be even longing for some real connection more than somebody who's not getting any of that kind of connection well and raza and found out through the pandemic that they had more phone calls than even on mother's day because people wanted to hear a voice. Singing texts wasn't enough. They needed to hear voice. They needed to hear the tone in the voice and so people began coal and people. Not just texting.

Missing Suzanne Morphew: Day 2 of Barry Morphew's Preliminary Hearing

"Those of you who are not familiar with the case. Suzanne more few forty nine years old. She was a wife. A mother of two girls and from all accounts led a very happy privileged life as we all know Looks can be deceiving. So she was reported. Missing on mother's day may tenth of twenty twenty supposedly. She had gone for a bike ride. She has never been found seen or heard from since her husband berry was actually just arrested a couple months ago and he's is facing seven different charges currently murder in the first degree tampering with the deceased human body tampering with physical evidence possession of a dangerous weapon in this case a short rifle attempt to influence a public servant forgery of public records and misdemeanor elections mail ballot offense. He literally sent a ballot and voted for trump and suzanne's name after she had disappeared like months and months and months later in november. a handful of charges took almost a basically a year for him to be arrested in her disappearance but he has been so with the preliminary hearing is. It's basically the prosecution laying out the evidence that they have against berry to see whether or not. The judge agrees that the should go to trial. And it has been bombshell after bombshell just lots of different shocking. Information coming out of this case. So let's talk about day to if you did not listen to our day one episode. Please stop here and go back and start with day one. It's not necessarily a prerequisite. But i would probably start there just to make sure that you are up to snuff on everything that has been discussed thus far then before we get into it. I actually want to take a moment to address some comments that i've been getting about this coverage and for once guys. It's not directed at me. Yea it's actually just kind of public sentiment day one. It actually came out that suzanne had been having an affair. she been having an affair with someone that both. She and her husband had gone to high school with and kept in touch with and he is a married father of six suzanne. And this man. Jeff liebler name Had met up six times yes. The relationship was intimate with sexual. They message and talked on the phone for hours and hours and hours a day. The comments that i've seen floating around on social media as well as particularly what's sparking. This is on the youtube video. Basically people saying coming dangerously close to implying that suzanne more few deserved what she got actually sympathizing an empathizing with her husband berry. I'm not going to you know. I can't really instill empathy in people but no one deserves to murder guys like no one really deserves to get

Best Tips on How to Run With a Jogging Stroller

"So i got a jogging stroller. Brian got me one for mother's day so any would have been okay. Hang on math. And he was seven months old. When i got a jogging stroller. I have the tuli urban glide. I love it So there's a lot of an. I'm not an expert you all know that A lot of places will say wait until they're six months or wait until they have full head control. There are the car seat attachments you can use. But i'll just share what i did. Which is yeah started small and really stuck small. I think probably the furthest. I don't even know if any and i've ever run more than like a five k. Together in the jogger. She's never loved it. To be honest. I love it But i never wanted to force it honestly. I get really anxious and embarrassed if any cries while she's in the jogging stroller even though i know she's fine And i tend to her and get her what she needs but sometimes babies cry and toddlers. Cry but i always feel like oh my god. Someone's going to see me and just look at me and think like look at this woman who cares more about getting her workout in than her kid. And i'm like that's not it like that's not no like she was happy for the first two miles. She just wants to get out and we're going to. We're almost at the playground. We're almost home. But like how does it that i think that much about. What like a stranger passing by in a car is going to think of me when i know my own kid and know that she's fine more about to get out or to change her diaper. Whatever it is.

"mother day" Discussed on Good One: A Podcast About Jokes

"On effectively. Saying i was destined to be this guy fucking forever and that's the part of my persona on stage that i'm pushing pretty hard at that point. So then it's like. How do we get out of this whole as a chris gathered joke story often is about getting out of a hole. So is this part. How true is the next part. Which is your mom being. Like all the stitches part to then set up very dad part which is like him making jokes about his sex though. That's all true. All of that's true. This is particularly true. Joe i always remember. That joke had a little bit of a tricky part where i never. I never quite figured out one line and you can feel it in the recording There was a very upward up. That line of Apologizing your mother. On mother's day it would always get a laugh when i go on mother's day in the Motherfucker he heard all that shit about stitches and getting yelled at by doctor. And now that i have more five or six more years of writing behind me i would just walk away at that point. I would just let that left flowed out there. Let them complete the sentence however they want in their mind and walkaway. But i you can feel the weakness in the part where i go. It doesn't feel good and then it doesn't get the laugh. I went and i repeat. it doesn't feel good. And i try to squeeze a little bit more of a laugh out of it and that happened the entire life of this joke where that stretch sometimes got the laugh i want. It sometimes didn't. And now i am a little more savvy to know. I should have not completed the sentence. They were completing it in their head anyway. Walkaway gets in the next joke. Those are words that didn't need to exist you just have to believe the laughable sustaining until the time was to then be like the joke is not over yes and believed that the laugh matters. And that's one thing i've had to learn is that there are certain times. Where if they left. They are effectively. Saying okay we get it and if they're telling you that with the left you have to have confidence in that and then so it has a button as you would say it ends with like and this is the end of the joke. Yes a little bit. Maybe a little bit too much. I will say this it it does. It is heavy handed on that to defend myself. Also say it was the last track on an album So i think it was a little more warranted to have a moment. That really sounded final. Yeah think that was something that was more calculated. I think in the course of a regular set i would have just thrown away the ending. Yeah i mean there's sort of you've make such a thing about how you're ending this story and it's like a two minute story and in real compared to some of my other stereo which will be six seven eight nine ten minutes long in the course of. I'll now tell a ten minute story at a club set which a few years ago to me would have felt like self sabotage of the highest order. But that's what i said that's part of why i picked this one. This one is because you can see and again not everybody knows me for my stand up but if you know my stem you know sometimes it gets really long but this joke is kind of the rosetta stone. That helped me figure out how to write everything i wrote. Afterwards you can expand out from it. Yes you can. Essentially have those five parts be two minutes each and you have a lot of the rest of my writing. Has been figuring out how to take what i learned from this joke. And how much muscle can i pack. How much joke and punchline muscle can i pack onto what i learned from writing this joke. The joke is also a bit of an origin story. Yes what is the. I love telling my own legend. Yes you know. Oh you who's better at telling the story of himself. What is the an origin story is to a superhero. This joke is to you. What is sort of the superpower whatever that is suggesting. I feel like when i met my best and when people respond most to my comedic work i make myself vulnerable to a degree where they can feel me going. I know i'm the one up here with the microphone and i'm confident capable performer. You can trust that. But i tell you i feel like as much or more of a piece of shit on a daily basis at i as you guys do like. It goes back to the days. Which is. I've never been the funniest one so i better really understand how this works. You know i feel like one of my goals is when i get off stage like when you're talking about the show after the show i want people to go like how that how that fucking guy get on that bill. How did he get on that bill and somebody else go. Yeah but like he kinda was the best one for a joke like this or all yourself. Did you ask your mom if you can do it. Is that a speech that you like that conversation. You had to have like fifteen years ago i do. I mean my parents. I very often usually. What i'll do. Is i'll work on the jokes until they're really good to make sure it's even worth asking them. I've had that conversation with my parents. A number of times with barb. You can imagine your suicide that. What a tricky thing And she actually came. And saw live off broadway and then gave me notes not creative notes but notes on. Here's parts where you're twisting or misrepresenting. What i do to a degree that presents me as an unethical medical professional. I can't have that. The big shift is since i've gotten married i don't work on jokes. That vault my wife. In less i have the thumbs up i because i live in a house with her My parents i don't live with anymore. So i can wait till it's good and i can go. Hey check out this funny thing but doesn't hurt your feelings my wife i i look at the i every check i. It's like oh how's your set. Would you talk about you. know just end. She has 'cause she's interested in support. But it's funny. Because she said something to me that made me a better writer too. She was like. I don't care if you write jokes about stuff. I've said or stuff we've done together. She's like i don't even care if you twist the context she's like but i don't think it's fair when you present me as something i'm not because it's the easy way. No and that was a good reckoning and a good note that she just wants to be a better writer. Just be a better writer if you have to claim that i'm a nag. When i'm not to get to a punchline you need to step your game up and there's a lot of truth to that. I was listening to the interview with todd berry. And you're saying that you're proud of career suicide. You're proud of how much you worked on it but you're insecure about..

"She thinks about me in an in an instant. I can just drop whatever the fuck. I wanted to do and ruined her sacrifice. Just because i want to be selfish about me. Yeah that was always my. And that's why always stuck with me and that's another reason why i always Kelly ask me like one time i would. We were talking about it. Why brandon asked me. Actually matter of fact. He asked me one time. Why do you care so much for. Why do you care so much for your staff like your employees and all that. Why do you care so much about him. And i was like yo. Because i been that employees that been taken advantage of before. Yeah like i know exactly what that feels like like. I feel like it was yesterday like right now. I can feel it in heart. I remember driving home in like you have no rights in people and and when people know you have a fake social fucking hire you. They know who they hire in any no secret you know they know you're hired so that's why they get away shit like that they do that. Yeah because a lot of people in those shoes they feel like they have no voice. Like honestly i could have probably five. I could've done things but when you're in the shadow in you feel like you have no rights last thing you wanna do is go to court or call the police until somebody. Hey you know what. I'm saying so the fact that i got experience and that's that's just one place Effect that i got to experience or that made me appreciate everybody that ever would work from your worked for me. You know what i'm saying. I know what that's like. Got off subject a little bit but it started with my mom. But that's something. I as i say not fame as you. 'cause you physically experienced it but a lot of the reason why i have this great respect for my parents and wanna do something with my life. Have you did to give back to them because they experienced what you experienced. They didn't have a social and they got taken advantage of and they got fired. And so i saw that and back to what you said with your mom I look at them like they're that sacrifices go nowhere if i don't do anything with. They do sacrificed all that for me. And i'm over here doing anything about it like that. I think I think as an immigrant. You can look at it lou easier and i think that's one thing that as somebody that born in the us.

Motherhood: Yes, No, Maybe

"We just passed the holiday of mother's day. And that got me thinking about this topic of mother hood. Which i feel that. I am at a unique intersection to speak on the topic of because of my past present and future. So my past. I have a good relationship with my mother and my mother is still living so i am not at the place of grieving mother or at grieving a strained relationship with a mother. I have never been pregnant or tried to get pregnant. so i don't have any miscarriages or abortions in my past or You know natural infertility challenges and as you are aware if you have been a posner. An instagram friend. I've been on shore for many years. If i want to have a family very much on the fence. I think that as a couple now you're truly knowing who my life partner is and having gotten married a couple of years ago we are more likely yes but it's still something that we very much like. This is a huge undertaking. Are we sure that we want to embark down this road and were still a few years away from that. So we're not We are not presently trying to conceive or under the pressure of making this decision so it allows me to feel like i'm kind of able to stand at the center of a big circle of women who all have so many different experiences from their past own mother's as a as perhaps mother yourself of an older mother of now an adult child or even watching your own child. Now go through Infertility or pregnancy or motherhood or adoption or all of the things. And i have so because just with my season of life right now i have so many friends that are trying to conceive. I think also being in that spot where you know maybe in your early twenties not a lot of women in your life or in that maybe in your late forties a lot of women around you already been in that phase but it feels like something that is so present for so many women in my life right now and i know that we have a large demographic here of who also were older who are more. Perhaps my mother is a and i can only imagine that if i have this many friends that are going through this there are just as many women who have a child of their own going through it

"Why was obamacare. Created real quick healthcare institute the and shoved down our throats before we get into that emma rita nurses. He's a response says. Unfortunately i did not make it through nursing. School forgot to change my name on youtube. But i'm currently a blood collector and he will not take the vaccine and neither will. I won't either. What we keep saying is he is a he. Is he a female or is he a. Here's a guy. I can't really. It's hard for me to see the picture. So i can't really so i can't response in You know there's there's a lot of folks at just okay Now see okay. Yeah is he looks like a guy. Okay hey is he. So yeah he popped up on the screen now but You know man that kinda solidifies you know. I've heard a lot of medical professional saying they're not taking this thing Oughta folks in old folks on that nurses that work there saying. Hey man Forty fifty percent of the people that take the vaccine either the first shot or the second shot either in the dead or severely ill they have to be moved out and brought To a critical care in debt scares the shit out of me. And i know a bunch of people that worked out of taking it as their rugged. If you wanna take go forward go take as well right mercifully. I'm doing it right now. In the state of kansas are medical teams are medical professionals are bucking against our governor. Who by the way a democrat. That is trying to persuade people to be in conformity and unity. As i just mentioned but they're not doing it in fact right now at medical in our town and in other medical law and other facilities in kansas they are lifting the ma the mask mandate and for the first time. We've been able to go down and visit people without any repprt without any recurrence of saying. Hey you gotta have a mask or a they ask us at one. Time can show your card. The vaccine shots fall again again. I wanna revisit my question that i ask what. Government healthcare originally issued for so the reason it was issued. The obamacare was to make insurance cheaper for everybody. But the thing is if you didn't get on board with the the obamacare bullshit. You ended up paying a penalty on this stuff. And once you got on the obamacare you're in network with certain doctors like you might lose your doctor. But you'd have to go with the different network. Different network of doctors in doctors promise your democratic supporters. And they're the ones that support you know obamacare stuff right so everything played in full full circle. It went hand in hand. And if you didn't get on the guess what you were fine. You had to pay some kind of penalty or fine or something. I don't know. I didn't get on the bullshit that with me but i didn't pay shit either way you you screwed either way so you either got on his bullshit insurance or you paid a final nissen or you had private insurance from a different company. And you don't have to worry about but okay. Let me those guys win. That i come out. That was a pretrial dec- who and what they could do. As far as conformity and unity through the obama administration. I have a letter in my possession. I will bring it next time on aaron. Read it to you. But all of the native american tribes in the state of kansas was issued a number and a letter stating that we did not have to conform to the obama. Care insurance or anything that we were giving a pass. Now explain that to me. How does how does one ethnic group get a pass from another ethnic group administration and yet you as the american people get fined and you as the american people are told that you must conform to this. Were they look aryan nation. 'cause i love it a love. The term woke woke us. I don't know i'm away now. I don't know if i mean coonass that helps out. I don't know that means that. Apparently should i. Don't know i'm i'm i'm awake right now. Navan whoa granada bullshit for what it is a Calls me woke fucking But i see bullshit for what it is and i just call it out how i don't sugar anything. If somebody don't like it fuck you know. Here's here's an ideal. Here's my deal. Partly of the claim of government healthcare and obamacare was the staple that we are going to control what medical costs and a pharmaceutical costs yet. Catching so how could now. The government be turning around after they. So reverently forced this down our throats ten years ago. Now turn around and say you must get this vaccine regardless of what the pharmaceuticals cost is and let them make four hundred million dollar profit in the first quarter the.

"Two. Going to be jason tatum. Because i tell you one thing if brad stevens if they flame out in the playoffs and one of the folks who owned that team get the bug up his ass and says i want Brad stevens outta here. I'm quite sure if there's going to be like twenty to twenty five teams. That would be on the be on the phone brad. Stevens asian about one point. Four milliseconds after he fired saying. Hey what can we come in an interview. Your because yeah. We definitely want you to be interested in coaching our team. So i think brad stevens still held in high regard but has he runs. Its course with this certain team or has run this course with these with these players and if he has what is what needs to be changed the player dynamic or the coach getting all of that one those world and sports. I'm your host wonderwall so glad that you could be with us and be a new speaking about coaches on the hot seat. I wanna get into a little bit on the podcast today about the nba. The hot seat candidates ryan's never to Never too early to speak about that when speaking about coaches who might be in trouble whether it's the nhl major league baseball dealing with the manager nfl or the nba right boot and holder of the milwaukee bucks luke walton of the sacramento kings. Dwayne casey of the detroit pistons steve clifford of the orlando magic. All of these guys a couple of others are in the news. Total about you know there might be a situation where we might have to go into another direction where we might have to take a look and see see. What else is out there. Which one of these candidates. And i'm telling you there's more than these four that i just mentioned which one of these candidates which one of these candidates are safe are hot are basically already gone. What do the new breed of coaches should look by. Say for instance if the milwaukee bucks disappointed in my boot and holder is gone. Where do they go to look for a coach. If the sacramento kings the remedy says you know what valens going. Luke walton awarded. They don't what type of coach are we looking for here. Are we looking for a retread. Are we looking for a jeff. Van gundy type. Are we looking for a western. Sell junior type. Are we looking for a coach. Who's never been a head coach. Before i was looking for a guy off the someone staffel mother had some experience in the g. league and he's been on A staff of a successful organization. You wanna bring him in. What are we talking about. An this could really be a litmus test in terms of hiring practices to serving the league. Remember when chris finch was hired by the minnesota timberwolves. There's some folks out there told him well. Damn i mean you know. How many black coaches do we have out here in the nba and the other and that was really the first time that are really thought about that. Because again the league is so F rel hurt centric in terms of lebron james no problems stating his case in giving his opinions about anything and everything regarding socialists. Same thing with chris. Paul seeing thing with jaylen brown's same thing but they huge amount of players black players in the nba. They're not biting their tongues in the seems like the relationship concerning that between the players and the owners are strong enough to where. It's a lot different than say the nfl owners and its players association. So this is a situation. Where the first time i thought about. It was again win. Chris finch was hired by the minnesota timberwolves off the staff of the toronto raptors. It was like well. What minnesota did was not kosher because this is a situation where you want to wait till the end of the season and you have a pool of candidates to go ahead and choose from. The pool of candidates should also include black coaches. So of you're just going to narrow the one guy who just happens to be white man against black folks are giving the shaft in terms of equal opportunity. He get themselves or head. Coaching position but again never really thought about that. Because if there were hiring practices and terms of discrimination toward Black coaches in the quite sure kevin durant and kyrie irving lebron james and all of these superstar here was had some saying it. And when you're speaking about how important. A superstar franchise player is to the organization. You better believe almost all of these teams that are hiring these coaches. They're going to get their input in from the player who happens to be what black so for perfect example would be the steve nasty situation. John who was the brooklyn nets coach. After kennedy acton wood fired. You did a great job without kevin durant and without Kyrie irving when he got injured. Jack vaughn was beloved by the team beloved by the players. They played extremely hard for them. And they overachieved got the got them into the playoffs. Right got the brooklyn into the place where they hit. They'll business being there. But who's the coach of the brooklyn nets. Now steve nash. You'll think that the joe in the ownership it didn't go up to kyri and kevin durant for their opinions about who should be the next head coach. And you're gonna try to tell me the kyri who throws his opinion on everything and let his feelings know about everything. Wears his emotions on the sleeve in front of the public about everything going to try to tell me if kevin durant and kyrie irving said. Now i really do like vaughn. And since i only have two years remaining on my contract you guys really want to resign me. I think that you would be doing a solid. If you just kept jacques. Vaughn as the coach moving forward. I think that working relationship between the three of us. Vaughn irving durant think of a work. So let's go ahead. And let's just keep jukka on at the head coach if tyree and katie had that attitude guess would be the head coach of the brooklyn nets for the twenty twenty twenty twenty one season. It would be john vaughan. It would not be steve nash. So that's my deal in terms of wait a minute. There's supposed to be a if they're supposed to be issues with black coaches getting an opportunity. Not getting hired. Don't we have the infrastructure to make sure that that doesn't happen so at just my way of saying it'll be interesting to see if say for instance the detroit pistons. The orlando magic sacramento. Kings milwaukee bucks washington wizards and another's. Let go their head coaches and say i instance out of those sixteen need a head coach. Five of them are white interesting interesting because bradley beal for washington wants a black head coach. It's gonna give himself a black head coach right if my boot and holder is gone from the milwaukee bucks. Indiana said kupa the black head coach. Guess what the milwaukee bucks are giving themselves a black head coach now a little bit different in detroit in sacramento. Because they don't have anybody of any consequence. The fox is can hope and pray in demand all he wants to about the black head coach but he's not at the stature for where the organization's going to be like well and you know wants a black tillerson. Yeesh now they're going to find best head coach into the apple to be white and the air force doesn't like it. Oh well that's his problem. So certain situations calls for certain. You know avenues to go down. But.

kyri Jack vaughn John Brad stevens john vaughan Kyrie brad stevens kevin durant katie tyree kennedy acton twenty jason tatum Chris jaylen brown chris vaughn brad steve nash Luke walton

"The Maison with Kevin Nathan yesterday. We were talking about flowers for mom on Mother's day, but if you plan on maybe having a picnic or doing some outdoor activities, you may need to watch out for the 17-year cicadas, because this is the peak weekend for the skaters to come out of the ground near the 17-year. Cicadas are the big one. And again, like their name. Only come around every Seventeen years. I remember as a kid back when they came out in nineteen, seventy, where I was just fascinated by all these cicadas. I saw when we were living in Illinois, in nineteen-eighty-seven. I was living in North Carolina and didn't see as many because you just don't see as many cicadas in North Carolina as you do in the Mid-West or in the Southeast in 2004 know, I was living in Akron. I don't really remember. If the skaters were there or not, it wasn't paying attention. I was too busy working. It's kind of funny every Seventeen years. I'm in a different city in 20, 21 of them have been in Nashville and I've been here for almost fifteen years, I missed the skaters just by a couple of years. Last time, the cicadas are here and big time this weekend. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news for mother's day but it was not one thing. It's another isn't it off?

"Started your career. She would have been there when you got married. Had your first child and subsequent children and you watched with excitement when she became a grandmother and enjoyed birthdays and special holidays together. If she died when she was in midlife. You never thought she would have been taken so soon. She had so much life to live and never. Did you think you wouldn't have the ability to see her grow old and then if she did get to grow old the roles started to reverse. And now you're the one taking care of her. She needed you toward the end of her life and you did the best to ensure she had which he needed yet for. Some there is a whole host of other women who took on that role of mother for you. They may not have been your biological mother but along the way they stepped into that role because you needed them. Most sacrificed a lot to take care of. You nurture you and make sure that you are safe and raced well and today you're grieving for that stepmother who raised to the grandmother and godmother or other female relatives that you considered your mom perhaps it was an adoptive mother and father who wanted so much to lover child that they couldn't have and one day you were placed in her arms and she felt so blessed to have you to raise in love. Perhaps it was a foster mother who wanted so much to give a child a good home which you longed for. You might have been floating from home to home and finally you found her and she found you the one who is stable and loving and wanted to make sure you will well taking care of. She might have even been able to adopt you. She was the mother you dreamed of and you will forever be grateful for what she did for you. She made the greatest impact on your life. And you miss her dearly and then there are also older sisters who stepped in to care for younger siblings. When their mothers died young she kept the family going sometimes. Her role goes unnoticed but she took on a job she was never meant to do and she sacrificed an awful lot of her life and happiness for you the date. She never had the party. She didn't attend the meal. She had to cook the grocery shopping. The cleaning of the home and laundry the college classes. She might have had to go to make sure you had what you needed while your father was working. She was a surrogate mother to you. So much of her own desires weren't experienced if she has died thank her in spirit but there is a long list of other situations surrounding mother's day and grief that many have experienced yet. We often don't acknowledge. And i want to do so now. Mothers who are grieving a child's death at any age. There're many mothers who will not have the pleasure of their children's company this year because they have predeceased them. No mother ever believes that she will live longer than her children. If you've experienced the death of a child or children maybe even all of your children you might feel like you cannot call yourself a mother any longer and i'm here to tell you that that is not the case. You are still a mom only now your child or children are with you in spirit and they will always be there with you. Your relationship with your children with cut short and the pain is severe weather. Family or friends acknowledged. Stay or not. I want to acknowledge it. Happy mother's day to you. We remember them today with you in spirit sometimes for some women it's not an actual loss of a mother that is difficult to grieve. It can also be what hasn't occurred. That can sting on a day like today. Women who are grieving. The children that they never had waited too long decided their career was more important and now they regret it or simply. Didn't find the right husband or partner to build a family with and now they're in their forties or older and their time has passed and they feel so sad that their dream can no longer become reality. These are incredible women. Women who all their lives believed at some point they become mothers and now in their latter years still wonder what it would have been like had their lives. Circumstances been different. Had life taken a different turn and they would have been called mommy. There were also women who gave up their babies for adoption at birth. Because it was the best thing at the time but they are still grieving for the relationship. They don't have with them today and are longing for that connection for my adoptive mothers who gave up their child. You are truly special. I realized this day may bring painful memories in guilt of what you couldn't give your child at the time but do realize how selfless it was to make sure that your little one was cared for properly. Can't think of a more important decision. You should feel piece that you did the right thing when perhaps the right thing wasn't happening in your own life back then you put your feelings and concerns aside to ensure your little one had a better life. Feel peace in your soul for that on this day here. She will always always be your child. You just decided another good woman would raise them for you. There are still other wonderful women who have almost become mommy's but have experienced miscarriage or stillbirth. If you've experienced this. I am here to validate your loss. They will always be your child always and for those who are working on becoming pregnant reach out to friends who have young ones and get involved in their lives. Being around little ones will help raise your spirits and decrease your feelings of despair. And i realized at the beginning. That might be very difficult. But envision how it will look when you're bringing your little one to the playground and changing their diapers and watching them. Laugh as you talk baby talk to them. There are women who strive to become pregnant and having yet achieved this goal. They've never had the honor to even become pregnant for a whole host of reasons women who.

"Was great and yeah just to. My mom was just so happy to be. You know being the presence of this production in the round. Br you know. I think my parents first time to new york also. Oh wow might have been. We're all experiencing the for the first time we go see this broadway show i lines so yeah. That was wonderful. So yes whenever. I hear the song one. Of course i take my mom and that's nice trying to dance. I no not at all. Yeah never took formal lessons. No i'm just naturally gifted. We're going to post a video. You dancing no not at all not at all. You never know when. I may catch you. Well that's in the act. Yeah exactly all right. Where're you got. okay. I'm doing a two for one. Okay go ahead with the band. That both stephen i have imparted on our children and they actually do left the spanned live. The band is called live live. Yes and it's funny. I spoke to him. Because i did speak to both my kids when we decided to do this episode and i was talking to them about the songs that it was going to use and actually handsome gave him a little input with their reasons. You know so. They both love the album throwing copper which is more than twenty years old now but they both liked. They liked two different songs from it chelsea picked all over you do you know. Are you familiar with the ban life. I mean these are both hands. Oh that's the yeah yes. It's not selling the drama. That was there. I i do remember that song of the goodman. It's agree there button. I mean they're another flawless album. Yes and sam would. She's lightning crashes which assure you now yes. Both of those were single so i. I don't know. I'm not that familiar with the the complete album but those are. I thought you might like the album. This this to me is another fly. A crash is really isn't a good mother's day song. No but you know most people think they know what the song's about sorry pointing pleased to enlighten me. So they dedicated to this one of their high school. Friends was killed by a drunk driver around the time the song was written so they didn't read it about her but these dedicated to her. The lyrics are mostly an analogy so she donated several organs including her heart. So so it looks like when you're when you're watching the video and when you're listening to the song that is speaking about the circle of life you know That is how it is to me. But this you know after i guess the song took on new meaning because it specifically about how barbs life gave new life to a lot of people the angel the baby down the hall. The pale blue eyes. Barb had blue eyes the pain and the confusion these. The lyrics are wholly ed's interpretation.
