Morgan Zegers and Tennessee's Robby Starbuck Discuss the 2022 Midterms

"And thankful to be guest hosting. Doctor gorka show again. That's right. You got a 25 year old taken over the show today. And we're going to try and include a lot of really fun guests. I have a great lineup for you of a lot of people from a lot of different backgrounds and to start off the show on a strong, strong way. I've got Robbie starbuck with us. Can we bring Robbie right in and let's get started? I'm here. All right, Robbie, thank you so much. I appreciate it. I know you're a busy guy. Can you explain why you're such a busy guy? What are you up to these days? Yes, I mean, as many of doctors, viewers know he's having a lot for my race running for Congress. And the Tennessee Republican Party is actually removed me from the ballot. This last week. So, you know, we're in a battle now to get back on the ballot, essentially they removed myself, Morgan Ortega, and one other candidate is off the ballot. Morgan and I were sort of more in a similar boat because we had all the Republican vouching and we've only voted Republican and things along those lines. The third one had participated in a chaos primaries like Rush Limbaugh had told people to do. So they had technically voted for Democrats. So they're kind of treated a little differently under the bylaws. But in Morgan and I case, they just essentially took us off and they have no good excuse for doing it. We did all the standards that are necessary to be able to be bona FIDE and to be put on the ballot. So now I'm going to fight to make sure that this is allowed to happen because what's really scary about it is it's so similar to what you see happen in communist countries. My family came from Cuba and they had a central committee that essentially chose puppet candidates of the party and people at very limited choices. Well, here we have the state executive committee. The state executive committee is who met and voted to make sure that I would not be allowed back on the ballot. And so it's sort of a creepy parallel from where my family came from to now and more of a warning about how big government and allowing these sorts of things can become a real big problem because now essentially people's vote is limited

'The View' Co-Host Morgan Ortagus Clashes With Adam Schiff Over Discredited Dossier

"So I guess Adam Schiff thought he was on the view and it was a safe space for him or whatever it is was he being micro aggressive or what But Morgan ortegas was having none of it So she asked him about his constant promotion of the dossier I want you to keep in mind as you're listening to this Keep this clearly in mind That Adam Schiff and I am quoting him directly please go to the Internet and double check me Always Double check everything I tell you Adam Schiff had said repeatedly that there was smoking gun evidence that Trump had colluded with the Russians We now know that whatever Adam's shift said was evidence was in fact nonsense created by the Clinton campaign And notice how he doesn't apologize I want you to notice here he throws out another debunk conspiracy theory that Paul Manafort was dealing with a Russian intelligence agent Constantine kilimnik That's who he's talking about in this cut Constant the kilimnik was in fact a source for the Obama administration too So if Paul Manafort was dealing with some Russian spy then we have a damage assessment to do about the Biden Obama Biden administration which had trusted this guy This is a great clip Did you cut it into two No the whole thing Okay all right play that cut And let's not forget what we learned in that investigation We learned that the Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort was giving internal polling data campaign polling data to Russian intelligence while Russian intelligence was helping the Trump to be clear if he was fired halfway through the campaign Well he may have been fired Yeah But the effort to get Russian help continued and even beyond the effort to get Russian help But you made president information yourself for years by promoting this I think that's what Republicans and what people who entrusted you as they Intel committee chair are so confused about your culpability in all of this Well I completely disagree with your premise It's one thing to say allegations should be investigated and they work It's another to say that we should have foreseen an advance that some people were lying to Christopher Steele which is impossible of course to do But let's not use that as a smokescreen to somehow shield Donald Trump's culpability for inviting Russia to help him in the election which they did for trying to course Ukraine into helping him in the next election Which he did into inciting an erection insurrection which he did None of that is undercut None of that serious misconduct is in any way diminished by the fact that people lie to Christopher Steele No I think just your credibility is Did he say Donald Trump was inciting an erection You would like to say that on the radio Yeah I thought I heard that right Adam get your head out of the gutter Get your head out of the gutter you slob Disgusting Adam Schiff it's gross Talk like that on the radio But notice how he continues to parrot fairytales that no one could have possibly known Christopher Steele was lying Really Because the FBI as of January of 2017 when they interviewed Christopher Steele determined that Christopher Steele was in fact

Washington's mall, one of 5.9 FM W M A. L Where Washington comes to You're listening to the best of the Lear E O'Connor show thing that Morgan Ortega took up a job at the State Department has first secretary of State because he knew that she was going to be able to witness history. I mean, that's just part of the gig. But my goodness, Morgan Ortega's The History just keeps on coming. And today you've got another incredible announcement. Well, thank you for having me. You're right. I was in the Oval Office with the president today and Secretary Mike Pompeo just a few hours ago, and it's every time it feels like I couldn't you know, be more surreal than it is. You just sort of depend yourself and realize you're you're living history. You know, if your viewers excuse me, your listeners didn't know We had another peace agreement between Israel and another Arab state this time Sudan. Um and this is Ah, you know, historic day in which Sudan is recognizing and normal is normalizing relations with Israel, And you have to say, why does this matter? It has been 26 years 26 years. Until August of this year. Ah, whenever Secretary Mike Pompeo, Jared Kushner and, of course, President Trump negotiated a peace agreement, the first was a then Bahar arraigned in Sudan. So we've gone 26 years about an Arab state, recognizing Israel having a peace deal, and in a matter of just a little over two months, we have three. This is also very significant. Is that not Morgan in the case that the government of Sudan up until very recently has not been the Well, I don't want to characterize it one way or the other. But there is a transitional government there right now, And this is finally the people speaking up and saying We're ready for change, and we're ready to put our past behind us. Right? Well, you're totally right. I mean, e mean, let's not forget what was going on. And Sudan just a few years ago was genocide, right? We had a tyrant. We had a dictator Bashir, who is the head and it was the people of Sudan, especially the women, by the way, who really led the protest. To get rid of this year. And so what we've seen in the State Department has been working closely with Sudan over about the past year and a half their new leadership, you know, they want elections. They want to move towards democracy. They want to get off. The state sponsored carries some list, right? They want to enter normal, polite society behaving like a normal nation. We've been working on this with them for over a year and a half, and it's ah, It's just It's just incredible. You know, to be able to help this country and what's really incredible is when you think about The Children of Sudan, Israel you a Baja rain, You know, these people have gone since the existence of the state of Israel of of not having your relationship, you know, ignoring them on maps, even right, flying over each other's countries, and these Children are going to grow up in a totally different world. So I'm looking at the map you got you know, Egypt, Of course, with the Camp David accords in the late seventies, they've had normalized relationships. Relations with Israel. Jordan was the 1 26 years ago on there. Ah! On their eastern border Now, Sudan this giant landmass just south of Egypt, of course by rain, and I'm looking at this big country. Saudi Arabia just sort of right in the middle there. Morgan Ortega's and the President sort of alluded to it today. What what? What do you foresee here down the road? Well, you know, the president did allude to it, so I'll let his words speak for themselves. But I will tell you what we're working on a writ large throughout the Middle East. It is to get every country to recognize the state of Israel right that That's what we hoped for. And um, and that that includes all countries of the Middle East and obviously, Sudan. Is in North Africa. And so your you know, your listeners may wonder. Well, why does it matter? How does this affect me? You know, this is four years of policies that President Trump has put in place. To make sure that our enemy, the Islamic Republic of Iran does not get billions of dollars to continue to be the world's largest state sponsored terrorism. But instead, we said, we're going to embolden our allies and friends. The state of Israel are golf partners, so we have looked at the Middle East entirely differently, then booked them. By the way, this isn't a knock on Democrats goes for Republicans and Democrats, right? There is a conventional wisdom. In foreign policy circles in Washington, D. C. For how you deal with these problems. We turned that on its head. Everyone told us we were nuts, and that we would create World War 33 peace deals later, I think we may have had it right. It's amazing, and it's important to point out contrast here because when this secretary of state stepped in Mike Pompeo under the leadership of the president They really did reinvent the way our nation approaches this. This very tangled issue. There were decades of precedent set up that you can't get this kind of peace in the Middle East. Unless you work with the Palestinian Authority, and clearly that entity did not show any very riel earnest desire to have peace with Israel. And is it fair to say you basically said, You know what? We're moving on without you. We're going to start addressing each of these countries and this is how this is going to happen. Well, listen, just ask that said this, right? This is that this year, the leading Arab countries in the Middle East that have said, you know, we have. We've supported you. We've done everything we can to support a state for you. We've given you about by the way they've gotten, you know gazillions of dollars in aid from these countries. And at some point, you know, after 30 40 years of doing the same thing and getting no results, you gotta look at the Palestinian people and say, You know, it's time to think of a of a new way. To think about these problems, by the way, the president's vision for peace that we rolled out and about February of this year for for the Middle East. For the first time ever, we were able to get Israel to agree to a vision for what a Palestinian state but looked like no one has ever gotten Israel to Yuri that before No one Except President Trump. And so you know, so there is no there is. There is movement in that regard. It's just everything isn't paralyzed while you wait for that to develop, you're actually just moving forward. And, frankly, that that's that's how you're going to get stuff done. It isn't amazing how a fresh approach in fresh eyes makes a difference in what seemed like an impossible part of the world. Morgan I just, You know, I've been working on these issues my entire adult life and it is it killed him. I still got him in a waking from a dream. It's still unbelievable, You know, hump and it's not just one country, right? You could work your whole career hoping for just the deal with you, eh? Get three in the span of two months. It's.

"Hello radio Morgan Ortega's Morgan is the spokesperson for the secretary of state Mike Pompeii for United States state department we're so thrilled to have you join us thank you so much Morgan how are you. I'm great it's so nice to hear from you it's been awhile thank you for having me on the show all my pleasure prior to joining us just now I was I was telling my coach John savage anyhow it was so great meeting you a couple years back in the fox of business green room and what a constant grow you aren't television but we're so thrilled and excited for your your career which is just gone it's a spectacularly well and congratulations on all your success what thank you for the opportunity of a lifetime that one video and the president gave to me and I hope I hope I am learning their truck to doing the job well absolutely you sure are on so we just want to get your our reaction to a year you just put out of the state department just put out today rewards for justice an announcement that there is now a reward for information on financial on the financial mechanisms of Iran's Islamic revolutionary guard and its branches others a fifteen million dollar reward being put out by the US state department for information on seeking information on our I. R. G. seize illicit oil sales including oil tankers like the Adrian Daria can you tell our audience look at more about this. sure absolutely so first I think it's important to note that the department we designated the I. R. G. C. could source as they for terrorist organization I think it was early may here and at the state department we can get you the the exact date of course but look important about this is the I. R. G. C. could force it is a branch of the Iranian government until the rewards for justice program is something that we have had a lot around for a long time but this is the first time that we've ever operator of a ward of the nation state financial mechanisms what you're seeing you know especially over the past year since the passenger from the GDP away is that you're saying we have embarked on something that we call the maximum pressure campaign is almost not a week that doesn't go by where we haven't sanction some sort of sexual activity up from the audience a few weeks ago we sanctioned a Chinese company that was doing business you know with the audience. here we have to be running in and and the secretary of laid out. laid out twelve demands by which the running and how to behave in order to come back in a polite society enough and and and those of the manta sensually so they had to behave like a normal nation leave Monday mentally believes that the GPL eight gave the Iranians toward getting a nuclear weapon almost an equally importantly is the date the delay did not discuss their bliss. which of course gotten our interests in the region of the allies in the region and I have done nothing but but gasoline and fire on Iran's ability to wreck havoc in the region by funding many terrorist groups supporting the terrorist group the Iranians are given credit they're quite brilliant asymmetric warfare right it's something that they've been able to capitalize on the region so after give me that really what we're seeing today this is really a message for you know for for for many people around the world not just the Americans but you know specifically for for people who are arguing that may see shipping community they may somehow have information on around that was the oil sales you probably seen this on the news of the tanker car Daria which is also known as the great to one of which we have been tracking they're trying we believe there have well that is the worst we are headed towards here yeah we're trying to stop that so what we're really saying today to the international business and shipping community is is do not do business with Iran and we're offering a monetary reward of up to fifty million dollars short for information this is really a a call to the international community that we are not going to let sanctions invaders. right exactly and we know that a lot of the hundred and fifty billion that the former administration upon ministration gave to Iran as part of the G. C. P. away that a lot of that money made its way into the hands of terror sees that makes our world much less safe including it has helped you know its funding on Hamas Hezbollah against you know our ally Israel. that's exactly right and I think that may look at what's going on now a young man and how the Iranians have funded and trained and equipped to others who sees we see them I mean I imagine you know it viewers who may not know that the Middle East while I'm I lived there for a time that I have the job pretty well but you know I'm not into to Yemen is sort of at the bottom of the peninsula Saudi Arabia any armed Hutu rebels are being via the mechanisms that be running in a military mechanisms that the running to provide it they're talking billion airports and Saudi Arabia don't be we've course now that they have a tax right hook our special envoy for on pulling it up today but the Japanese prime minister update went to run it was the first time ever just to think that she was six weeks ago probably the point he went on to the person never Japanese prime minister what they're trying to talk about peace tried to talk about a diplomatic resolution and what happened the supreme leader put out on on the internet on Twitter. either the date that they were not going to negotiate a potential and everything that they weren't going to negotiate either with the Americans and and then they attack the Japanese flagship you know while the Japanese prime ministers to accept. again we see the running and you know the president offered diplomacy offers to meet and their audience respond to that a diplomatic gesture then the president with Connecticut action. right it's so troubling but on many people you don't support the president was trying to get the state bar from withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal because they're just so many problems for we we were promised a false sense of security that Iran wasn't going to advance its nuclear arsenal but it had the sunset provisions so it's just a matter of time before they could get back to their nefarious ways. we certainly believe that that's one of the main reason why I think the president withdrew from the from the deal because we did believe that it could not put the bomb but but if course you know it and I think that it's important to remember that it's not just about the nuclear weapon to talk about their ballistic missile capabilities yeah and and just writ large what they do in the region to terrorize our friends and allies and again the grind today from the state department podium around is not used to being told no and this administration the president the secretary of state have told the mail absolutely we'll all be free to we just want to ask you a quick question about North Korea nooses appropriately that they may be in you know building a submarine with the list you know with nuclear capabilities they're heading in that direction some people say oh no that's years off don't worry about other people said no we need to pay attention to this we don't want them watching you know nukes are ballistic missiles off of a submarine is there anything you know about that now that you can share with us. yeah you know within our our capabilities in terms of what we know that the north Koreans are are up to it's it's something that's mostly in our intelligence channels so that nothing that I'm gonna get into publicly what I would say it again the president has made unprecedented steps with Kim Jong hoon to try to get a a diplomatic revolution is something that has been settled Republican and Democrat administrations alike we have signaled I was in I was in South Korea with the president and secretary whenever the president made a historic decision to go and and and to the DMV and cross the line into North Korea the the president has said signal time and time again his willingness to patients that that he's a good lead to negotiate and so our our secretary C. B. again who is our special envoy for for North Korea stand stand by a we're we're still working very closely with our allies on the so we stand by ready and willing to negotiate with the north Koreans into open up until that point sanctions remain in effect and I think that that is a really important point that our president has made absolutely and as you know of aka trump right now is in South America promoting yeah W. GDP women's global development and prosperity and initiative for people our audience were just learning about what that organization does can you tell us a little bit more about it. yeah this is something that is fun to put together one of the best things about working in this administration is having the opportunity to get to know her and her husband they are true patriots they're getting so much that the help the president and and of Lanka is is more committed than almost any woman I've known to advancing the cause of women's development prosperity around the world it's something that's really significant as at the beginning of this administration. president of the beginning of their ministrations they write something that guides the entire administration about called the national security strategy of the national security strategy that a lot of buzz because it it's about great power competition and how we're moving from sort of and and in many ways some sort of the focus on counterterrorism counterinsurgency and focusing instead on the great power competition between the US and China with Russian there's well what was that document guide everything that we do at the state department at the defense department on the national security agency's. Unfortunately, we continue to see signs at the Assad regime may be renewing its use of chemical weapons, including an alleged chlorine attack in northwest Syria on the morning of may nineteenth. The regime's attacks against communities in Norfolk Syria must end the statement says United States reiterates its warnings. I issued by President Trump in September of twenty eighteen that an attack against the esscalation zone would be a reckless escalation that threatens to disable its region. The Trump administration has twice bombed Syria over sods alleged use of chemical weapons in April of twenty seventeen and in April of twenty eighteen in September senior US official said there was evidence showing chemical weapons were being prepared by Syrian government forces in the last major rebel stronghold in the country. A Pentagon person in that statement said the Assad regime must not repeat the use of chemical weapons in Syria. There should be no doubt as to our determination to act strongly, and swiftly should the Assad regime uses weapons, again in the future. And the State Department statement accused Russia and Assads forces of continuing a disinformation campaign to create the false narrative that others are to blame for the chemical weapons attacks. The facts, however, are clear, the Assad regime itself has conducted almost all verified chemical weapons attacks that have taken place in Syria.
