Body of Florida toddler found in alligator jaws after search
"A horrific ending to a domestic dispute in which a mother was killed in Florida. And now the body of her two year old toddler has been recovered in the jaws of a reptile. There had been a frantic search for the missing two year old boy in St. Petersburg Florida. After 20 year old passion Jeffrey was found stabbed to death in her apartment Thursday, and two year old Taylor Mosley was nowhere to be found. Police had put out an amber alert and searched on foot and with aerial drones, a day later police a few miles from the apartment spotted an alligator with an object in its mouth. They shot the reptile and it dropped the body of the little boy still intact. St. Petersburg police say the boy's 21 year old father, Thomas Moseley, will face two counts of first degree murder for killing the toddler and the mother. They say he's not cooperating with the investigation. I'm Jackie Quinn

Fresh "More Than One" from Marketplace Minute
"This is the marketplace minute. I'm Justin Ho. Stocks closed up on Friday, the Dow gained one in the quarter percent, the S&P rose more than one in four tenths percent, and the NASDAQ jumped one and three quarters percent. People spent less on goods and services in February, according to the commerce department. That's after accounting for inflation. The decrease was mostly because people spent less on vehicles and at restaurants. Prices of goods and services rose three tens percent from the month before. That's less than they rose in January, but more than they rose in December. The same report found that people's incomes rose two 10% between January and February. That's a slower increase than they rose the previous month. Meanwhile, the personal saving rate ticked up. And the Biden administration announced that electric vehicle batteries will have to include more domestically sourced minerals. For the vehicles to qualify for a tax credit, the goal is to rely less on Chinese battery production. I'm Justin Ho with the marketplace minute. Trump indictment ends decades of perceived invincibility
"The indictment of former president Donald Trump ends decades of perceived invincibility. Trump is expected to fly from Florida to New York Monday, stay overnight at Trump Tower, then head to the courthouse Tuesday for his arraignment. He'll be booked fingerprinted and a mugshot taken, but no handcuffs since federal agents surround him, despite 40 years of legal scrutiny, the man long nicknamed Teflon Don is facing charges, including at least one felony offense related to hush money payments to women during his 2016 campaign. He denies this and calls it political persecution. Trump could ask the judge to dismiss the case, even if it moves forward, there's no guarantee of conviction. Intensifying investigations in Atlanta and Washington are seen as potentially more serious legal threats. Julie Walker, New York

"AP sports, I'm Bruce Morton. Iowa sent shockwaves through the women's college basketball world. It held off previously unbeaten defending champs, South Carolina, 77, 73. AP national player of the year Caitlin Clark led the way for the hawkeyes with a semifinal record 41 points and said this game wasn't just a win. It was a showcase for her sport. I'm sure so many people wish this was a series of 7 games. That would be really, really fun. And I think we continued the series. It might go one way or the other every single time. The game Crocs aliyah Boston said this wasn't the way they wanted to finish, but they still had a season to remember. Just winning. 36 games. I feel like that's unbelievable. Sunday, the hawks will meet LSU, which took over in the fourth quarter and a 79 72 win over Virginia tech. Alexis Morris was game high with 27 points for a Bayou Bengal team that made it to the championship game for the first time in program history. Maybe the standing champions at the end maybe I can just let go and just be like, ha. Next up, the men's final four on Saturday with Florida Atlantic facing San Diego state followed by Miami versus Yukon. Pro basketball, the Celtics continued their push for the top seat in the east by besting shorthanded Utah one 22 one 14. Jason Tatum came through with a game high 39 points. Each game presents a different challenge. And so whatever we went through today was probably not going to be as hard as what the players are going to be like. Other NBA winners included the Knicks, grizzlies and sons. Baseball Jorge solar and jazz Chisholm each Homer to give Miami a two one decision over the mets. Dave ferry has details. Your Daily Prayer
A Prayer for When Grief Affects Your Friendships
"Our God is healer and can bring peace and restore wounds acquired in our relationships during a time of grief. Will you hand over the hurt and pain to the father and allow him to cover you in his mercy and grace today? Let's pray. Dear God, you are a loving father. And I am ever so grateful for your kindness and compassion. I come to you today with my heavy heart. In need of your grace and tender loving care. Grief has taken on the shape that quite honestly concerned me. And is now affecting the relationships, especially my friendships. I'm emotionally exhausted and want to connect with my friends. The many days I am striving to put one foot in front of the other. I feel like I am disappointing them by my lack of response. And they are hurting me by their silence and distance. Deep down, I know Friends aren't necessarily avoiding me because they don't care. But rather because they possibly believe I need space. They may not even recognize that I'm hurting. Or they are unsure how to help. I haven't been the best about telling them how I feel. And then I need their support. So in a sense, I'm grieving them too. So lord, I seek your guidance, wisdom, and direction. Please help me let go of expectations I am placing on myself. And others, as they are only causing disappointment in bringing on a mix of emotions. Will you please come alongside me and help me see the blind spots I have acquired. So I can extend grace and forgiveness to the friendships that are bringing about confusion. If needed, show me where I need to create space and healthy boundaries in order to heal. Lord, I am learning that grief is a process and comes in waves. I asked that to provide a community around me during this difficult time so that I can be reminded of your promises in truth when the lies are loud. Provide safe friendships that would be present. Offer love and support. And lead me back to you. Help me to also be that friend in return. Thank you for the gift of friendship and connection. As I know you designed us to do life together. Most importantly, thank you, lord. For being my very best friend, and for loving me through this painful grief. I am so thankful that I can come to you in my mess. My heart, my selfie nature, and hand over all my rooms. Still knowing that I am fully accepted, fully known, and fully loved. I infer grateful to be your daughter. Amen.

A Lenten Meditation on John 11:45-56 for the 5th Saturday of Lent
"The next few moments, surrender all the cares and concerns of the stay to the lord. Say slowly, from your heart, Jesus. I trust in you. You. Take over. Become aware that he is with you. Looking upon you with love. Wanting to be heard, deep within your heart. A reading from the holy gospel according to John, chapter 11 versus 45 through 56. Many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, believed in him, but some of them went to tell the pharisees what Jesus had done. Then the chief priests and pharisees called a meeting. Here is this man working all these signs, they said, and what action are we taking? If we let him go on in this way, everybody will believe in him. In the Romans will come and destroy the holy place and our nation. One of them, caiaphas, the high priest that year said. You do not seem to have grasped the situation at all. You failed to see that it is better for one man to die for the people than for the whole nation to be destroyed. He did not speak in his own person. It was as high priest that he made this prophecy that Jesus was to die for the nation, and not for the nation only, but to gather together in unity the scattered children of God. From that day they were determined to kill him. So Jesus no longer went about openly among the Jews, but left the district for a town called ephraim in the country bordering on the desert, and stayed there with his disciples. The Jewish Passover drew near, and many of the country people who had gone up to Jerusalem to purify themselves, looked out for Jesus, saying to one another as they stood about in the temple. What do you think? Will he come to the festival or not? What word made this passage come alive for you?

Kevin McCullough Weighs in on Yesterday's Indictment of Donald Trump
"My question is, what do Republicans do about this? Are there any heroic figures in the Senate willing to stand against this? Well, Senate House, wherever last night, so the indictment gets handed down at what about 5 to 6 Eastern Time, something like that. And I start getting news alerts immediately from all sources across the board left, right, middle indifferent, et cetera. And one of the things that I was impressed by was that the immediate leadership of the Republican Party, particularly those in the house, immediately made public statements immediately went on the record immediately opposed this and started saying that there would be investigations from the house. Today I have in front of me, Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg's offices response in which he is trying to tell people in the House of Representatives that they can't have the documents related to this indictment because it would present unlawful political interference in an ongoing criminal case. Talk about the irony of just that statement alone. I mean, this is ongoing political interference in or this is ongoing supposed criminal interference in a political race for the president. And we've never subjected a president and there have been those that have done bad things. There have been those that likely have broken the law to a much worse degree than a campaign finance reform statute being violated. But we've never, we've never seen this happen. We've never seen an indictment brought against a former president and to do so on the most specious grounds possible.

Kevin McCullough Reacts to the Indictment of President Trump
"Kevin. I wanted to get you on if possible to talk about what happened last night, the indictment of president Donald Trump. What is your reaction to this? What do you have to tell us? Well, I think as a news story, this has been discussed at nauseum to the degree that it could be for the last three to four weeks without any knowledge of what was going to be in the indictment. And sadly, until the indictment is unsealed by judge, we still won't know what is in the indictment, so we don't know what the charges are. We don't know what Alvin Bragg is claiming. We don't know what the grand jury is claiming. We did learn one piece of new news from some source and it appears that the case doesn't involve only stormy Daniels, but also the other woman that was involved mcdougall in those payments. And at the end of the day, Trump's position hasn't moved, he said all along. He didn't make the payments, doesn't only thing about him. Didn't know anything about him. They were put in his ledger as legal expenses, which is what I would put if I had payments that I made to lawyers, so we're kind of still at square one where we were when they leaked the word that they were going to arrest him and there was going to be an indictment, but then nothing happened for weeks. We're really no further along. It's a sealed indictment and it won't be unsealed until a judge unseals

John Zmirak Discusses His New, Powerful Stream.org Article
"The article you wrote, it's called my pronoun is legion. It is so important. I shared it as widely as I could. I want everyone to Google my pronoun is legion and share it because it is vitally important. Talk us through this article so that people can begin to understand what you're getting at. It is so important, folks. Listen up. Okay, transgenderism is on one level, a mental illness. You don't think your body matches your soul. That's really messed up. That's terrible. If that's really true. People who feel that way need help. They don't need help carving up their bodies to match what's going on in their heads. I thought of this better for yesterday. If you had a Macintosh computer, but your software was all for a PC. Would you take a screwdriver and a soldering gun and try to change your Mac into a PC so that it matched the software. Or might you decide that it was the software that needed some work? Well, that's the perfect metaphor for transgenderism. The software, what's going on in your head doesn't match the hardware, what's going on in your pants? Which is easier to change, which is less expensive, less damaging, less destructive. Well, it would be to change your thoughts. But in fact, it's illegal to do that. In California, you can lose your medical license for counseling someone who's transgender that they shouldn't have the operation.

Elizabeth Warren Has Declared War on Crypto
"The crypto community is extremely fond of the apocryphal Gandhi phrase, first they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. We have a tendency to pretty much always think we've entered the then they fight you phase, but as of this quarter, I think it's pretty much official that we are now well and truly into the then they fight you face. The breakdown has had numerous shows about operation choke .2 and what seems like a coordinated effort to deplatform crypto companies from U.S. banking and in general push crypto offshore. But just in case there was any doubt, any doubt at all. Yesterday, Elizabeth Warren, the self styled emperor of the crypto antagonists, announced her formal reelection campaign for her Senate seat in Massachusetts. To do so, she released a video on a series of graphics with her looking determinedly off camera, with a big blaring headline that had been recently written about her. Some of the accomplishments highlighted included, subsidized child care, and over the counter hearing aids, great things for sure. But that wasn't all she chose to focus on. And what she did focus on would overshadow all of it. The image she chose to start that video, the headline reads Elizabeth Warren is building an anti crypto army. The headline is drawn from a February article in Politico, which covered the senator's sponsorship of the digital asset anti money laundering act last year. That act would require software providers and blockchain validation infrastructure operators to record significant personal information about protocol users and proactively generate money laundering reports without any government requests for information. Coin center called the bill unconstitutional and said it was, quote, a direct attack on technological progress, and also a direct attack on our personal privacy and autonomy. Of course, that's not Warren's only attack on crypto. Since this time last year, senator Warren has sent at least 15 letters on the topic of crypto to regulators, companies, and even the FTX bankruptcy judge. She's also sponsored at least two bills which were dramatically increased the data collection requirements within the crypto industry.

"My Pronoun Is Legion" With John Zmirak
"Continue with John Zach, John, you wrote an article called my pronoun is legion. Yeah, I want to continue explaining this. And I want people to go to Google it. My pronoun is legion and share it everywhere. It's one of the finest things John has ever written, which is saying a heck of a lot continue. Thank you. Okay, so I'm saying is transgenderism is the ultimate culmination of the philosophy of the Marquis de Sade. It's not coherent, it's not really very intelligent. It is the fruit of demonic possession. The Marquis de Sade was clearly possessed. He wasn't just like writing pornography that got him excited. He was writing about priests, desecrating the eucharist while raping nuns and murdering children. That's the kind of spirit that it lies at the heart of the sexual revolution. These are the arguments which were taken directly from desaad. Simone de beauvoir wrote an entire book praising the Marquis de Sade before she wrote the second sex before she campaigned to legalize abortion in France. So it is a direct genealogical connection. What I'm saying is Satan as pure spirit. And as God's enemy hates us, he wants to torture and destroy us as proxies for God because he can't harm God, except to his creatures. One thing he really hates is our physical nature, our bodily nature, embodied nature as men and as women. God created man, male and female he created them. There's no mention of 47 genders. There are two.

What if you can connect with potential clients or customers in a way that's even more personal, more engaging, more effective? Well, that's where webinars and webinar ninja comes in. Hosting a live lesson, product showcase, or Q&A session, is the best way to share yourself and prove yourself to an audience. But wait, you're thinking, aren't webinars a

"Two or three businesses. The one that comes to mind is Peter levels, who runs remote okay and nomad list. He has all these other projects. He's a solo founder. It's incredibly rare what he does. He's not an example that is probably prevalent. I would say that he's the exception to the rule. He does everything himself for the most part. He has a couple of VAs. And he chooses business models that are incredibly simple and efficient to run. So separating the businesses in all aspects super important. Now, there are advantages. The first advantage is that usually one business can help the other in terms of marketing. If you have success in one area and you want to promote your other project, you might notice that I promote my software company webinar ninja, this helps on the show. I promote it on the show. And it's really helps leverage the audience I already have here to have some awareness of what else I do. But also on webinar ninja when I do webinars and I do demos, I mentioned the $100 show. Those cross pollination we kind of help each other out. Two opportunities marketing partnerships are those opportunities basically double. I go to conferences where people just know me for webinar ninja, they know that on the founder of the software company. And they have no idea on the host of this podcast. And when they do find out, they're like, oh, awesome. I'd like to get involved, partner up, sponsor whatever it is. Vice versa. I go to speak at a lot of podcasting conference and they have no idea I'm the founder of a software company. So there you have it. There are opportunities that just come about because I have two feet on each side of the equation, right? You get it. So in many ways, when I go to these conferences for me to talk to people, I have a foot in each side and allows me to bridge that gap, introduce them to other things that I do. This opens up opportunities for, like I mentioned, sponsorships, partnerships, marketing opportunities, opportunities to get on stages, things like that. The other huge advantage is that when you're working on one business or you have experience in one business, that experience often can help you with the next business or the business that you're doing with that business.

The $100 MBA Show
"more than one" Discussed on The $100 MBA Show
"Running a business or running more than one business is different than owning more than one business. You can own several businesses. But what I'm talking about is the day to today involvement. Are you involved in the business every single day? Are you leading the team? Are you doing work in this business? Some of us will start a business. We'll scale it and then we'll hire our team and even a CEO or a general manager to take care of it. You might meet with the general manager once a week or even once a month to see everything's going. The numbers are going in the right direction and you're good to go. And you're more like a business owner slash investor. This is not what I'm talking about today because this is totally doable because your time is not being used on that business. What I'm talking about is you being the owner and the creator and the operator of more than one business. For example, I run the hundred armed VA, which is this podcast, it's webinars courses. It's all kinds of stuff. But I also run a software company called webinar ninja. These are two separate businesses that have separate teams that run and do different things. There's different strategies for growing each of these businesses. What's required of me for each business, what it needs from me is different for each of these businesses. And technically, yes, I'm running two businesses, but I have a cofounder. Nicole, my partner in life and business is my cofounder in both businesses. So we have two people running two businesses. So it's not like I'm a single founder running two businesses. So I just want to make sure that's clear. Why is this important is because there's more than one decision maker. Somebody that can make decisions and take on some of the work and load and responsibility. This makes running more than one business so much easier.

But <Speech_Telephony_Male> of course, there are <Speech_Telephony_Male> challenges <Speech_Telephony_Male> also, of course <Speech_Telephony_Male> like <Speech_Telephony_Male> the changes <SpeakerChange> will <Speech_Telephony_Male> be needed for <Speech_Telephony_Male> sites or growing <Silence> larger and larger, <Speech_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> but they're becoming <Silence> fewer. <Speech_Male> But <Speech_Telephony_Male> at the same time <Speech_Telephony_Male> as they grow so big, <Speech_Telephony_Male> they still have <Speech_Telephony_Male> a lot of 48 <Speech_Telephony_Male> equipment <Speech_Telephony_Male> even though <Speech_Telephony_Male> there is more <Speech_Telephony_Male> <SpeakerChange> data <Silence> solutions <Speech_Male> coming or <Silence> data equipment <Speech_Male> needed. <Speech_Telephony_Male> What we <Speech_Telephony_Male> have done advertised <Speech_Telephony_Male> to <Speech_Telephony_Male> provide <Speech_Telephony_Male> many of our <Speech_Telephony_Male> customers with <Speech_Telephony_Male> 400 volts <Speech_Telephony_Male> D.C. and high <Speech_Telephony_Male> voltage data solutions <Speech_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> and <Speech_Telephony_Male> we do this <Speech_Telephony_Male> together with <Speech_Telephony_Male> the conversion <Silence> step to feed <Speech_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> those <SpeakerChange> existing <Silence> 48 <Speech_Telephony_Male> posts, <Silence> telecom equipment. <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Telephony_Male> Through <Speech_Telephony_Male> the 400 Volt <Speech_Telephony_Male> system, which <Speech_Telephony_Male> means that we can build <Speech_Telephony_Male> very, very <Speech_Telephony_Male> large sites <Speech_Telephony_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> to support core sites, <Speech_Telephony_Male> but at the same <Speech_Telephony_Male> time we have the 48 <Silence> Volt conversion <Speech_Male> step to <Silence> feed the <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Telephony_Male> calc equipment <Speech_Telephony_Male> that is already there. <Speech_Telephony_Male> There is a <Speech_Telephony_Male> blog <Speech_Telephony_Male> post and other material <Speech_Telephony_Male> available on <Speech_Telephony_Male> vertical dot com on <Speech_Telephony_Male> that. <SpeakerChange> If you're <Speech_Telephony_Male> interested to see more. <Speech_Telephony_Male> That's <Speech_Telephony_Male> interesting. So you have <Speech_Telephony_Male> resources available <Speech_Telephony_Male> to explain <Speech_Telephony_Male> more of this <SpeakerChange> and <Speech_Telephony_Male> to understand better. <Speech_Telephony_Male> Yes. <Silence> Dot <Speech_Male> com. <Speech_Telephony_Male> So I <Speech_Telephony_Male> really want to thank you for joining <Speech_Telephony_Male> me today. "I watched her on shark week. It was she's so funny. The last black unicorn is a fantastic book, as well. I'm gonna link to that in the show notes as well. But I just love love love, comedians. And I don't want just one. I want them all. This is the point that I'm bringing home. I want them all. I want to see I want to follow them on Instagram. I want to listen to their podcast. I want to watch their comedy specials and this is how people feel about really good experts that you'll introduce them to on the podcast. Like I said, I follow multiple copywriters on Instagram, not just one. I follow multiple people that are in the personal development, like self help space. I follow multiple people in various different topics for my profession for my personal life. I don't just have to have one. That's really what I wanted to hit home is you can have multiple experts on your podcast talking about the same thing because everyone's gonna have their unique stories, they're unique experiences, but I'd want to circle back around to it is your job as the host to pull those things out of them. So I'm gonna link to, I don't know if it's gonna be. I think it might be out by the time this episode airs, but I'm doing a YouTube video all about how I really come up with interview questions to make them different for every single interview because I think it's really important, especially if this is something that you struggle with when it comes to interviewing your guest, you're gonna wanna check that out. So go to the show notes, crystal profit dot com, forward slash episode two 97, two 97. We are three away from 300 episodes holy moly. That's crazy. Oh my gosh. So I'm so excited. It's gonna be so much fun to celebrate 300 episodes here. But that's all I have for you today. So if this is your first time tuning in, thank you so much for being a listener. I love podcasting. You should know this. If you don't hear it in my voice, I love podcasting. So I'm just gonna call it out. Tell it like it is. I love podcasting. And I'm so happy that you're here listening to this show. If you have not already, make sure you hit the subscribe, follow button, wherever you're listening to this podcast. And I would love it if you would take a screenshot and share it on social media. Tag me in it, and I'll share it right back. And I so appreciate all of you being here today. But as always, remember, keep it up. We all have to start somewhere..

"Brand new and you're reaching out to guest, then I want you to do this work on the front end. Because it's really important because otherwise some of your content may sound the same. If you're asking your guess, this is especially true for those of you who use the same interview questions over and over and over again. And I actually have a YouTube video coming up that's gonna be about my interview question process and what that looks like. But I think it's really important to note that if you have the same questions for every single interview, your podcast episodes will most likely sound the same. Every single time. And I'm not saying that's gonna make your content boring. I think it's just gonna be more of a challenge to differentiate your episodes from guest to guest. If you're hearing the same stories over and over and over again and that simply just comes from the territory of using the same questions. So that would be my only cautionary tale for using the same interview questions over and over. But if you're just getting started and that's all you know, hey, we talk about it all the time. You gotta start somewhere, right? But I do encourage you to think about the deeper perspectives, the deeper journey that your guest has been on to pull out pieces of their story that your audience would find interesting. And one of the things that I would encourage you to write down, put it on a sticky note, put it on, you know, buy your webcam or wherever, buy your microphone, wherever you have to put it is what question does my audience want to ask? That's really one of the things that I think about whenever I'm interviewing people is I have you in mind, my listener, whenever I'm asking questions, and that only really develops over time and really engaging with your audience and knowing the questions that they would have because you're in a constant conversation with them..

"So I wanted to talk about how the content keeps moving without any overlap in the experiences that I've had, and this is more of like my advice to you as the host. Let's switch back to the host, put your hosting cap on, right? Not guessing, that's a whole other. Those are more conversations that we can talk about later, but for now, I specifically want to address Kim's question. Her initial question is, basically, how do I have all these people who have the same profession? They're all experts in one particular thing. How can I keep the conversation going? And I don't want my audience to say, gosh, you know, you've had the same 5, you know, people that are expert in this, like can we, can we switch it up a little bit? Can we have a fresh perspective on something? So this is how it works. I want you to remember you're in charge of the feel the vibe of the show. So if you are leading people with questions, then your job is to pull out the unique pieces of their story or their experiences or their perspectives. Right in this is something that goes down to at the end of the day. I don't know about y'all. I love some stories. I love love, love stories. It's what connects us. It's what makes people go from like, oh, you have them on this pedestal, especially people that are like, oh my gosh, we look at them as celebrities, whether they're in the online world or they're in Hollywood, like whatever that is. But if you hear a real story about them, whether it's where they grew up, what it was like for them being a kid. Just something that makes them relatable. You have this connection that's a lot deeper, a lot faster. I believe that this is why podcasting is just so, I mean, I was gonna say transcendental. That doesn't really, that's not the word I'm going for. Again, crystal will start to use the big words, right? It's like it's just this connection that I can not explain. Y'all, I listen to podcasts and I feel like I know the host. I feel like I know the guest. It's just so it's just such a unique experience. And so as the host of the show, your job is to pull those pieces out of your guest. So asking them questions about their own unique experiences, maybe like, hey, you know, where you live, this is a great example. So we've had people on the show about talk about legal stuff and finances. Well, it's important for you to know what state they're in or what country they're in because their experience or maybe their practice would be different than what it's like where you live. Okay, I'm gonna give a really dumb example, but just stick with me for a second. So I was just, I watched the Britney spears documentary on Netflix. I couldn't help myself, right? I saw it, and I was like, oh, you know, I don't need to re watch Schitt's Creek for like the 17th time in a row. So I'm gonna watch this. And I watched it and you know, all of it was taking place in California where they were talking about the conservatorship, and I was like, why haven't I never heard this word? I'd never heard this word. I didn't know what this was. But then I started thinking, well, I've heard of guardianship and I could be totally wrong. Texas lawyers don't come at me. But I think that it would be called a guardianship where I live in Texas..

"I don't like to do a whole bunch of calls back to back. Because I like to be on for everybody, and it's exhausting to be on for close to four hours in a day, you know, just doing being animated and just showing up with the same a 110% energy all the time, but I did have a coaching call. So shout out Kim from the book marketing mania podcast. She's one of our prophet podcasting members. And she asked a similar question, but kind of in the reverse because she recently launched her podcast. I'm a link to in the show notes. So crystal prophet comm, forward slash episode two 97, which is where you're going to find more about what we're talking about today. But Kim asks the same question as someone who recently launched her podcast and she's looking at the different kind of like, well, who do I want to have on this show? And what if I have kind of the same type of people? Like maybe they have the same job. So she helps people with book marketing. So what if she has like 5 editors that say they want to come onto the show? What can that look like? Basically. And so she wanted some advice on this. And what I told her was this is similar to how I felt whenever I was starting The Rookie life podcast, which if you don't know this, that's the original version of this show. You can go back and listen to all those interviews, but I had just been very general with the kind of like the call out. Like, hey, I'm looking for female entrepreneurs. It wasn't very specific. It was just female entrepreneurs, period the end, and it wasn't in a certain industry. It was very, very broad, which was fun because I had so many different types of interviews that were really awesome, but I do feel like over time, some of them kind of came.

"Okay, so let's now move on to today's episode. I'm starting today's episode with just a truth. A very, very simple truth. I was Googling something, right before I started recording, because I was trying to sound smart. Okay? I was trying to sound above my education level. We should know. But I should not use big words that I don't know what they mean. But this is all, I promise you, this is relevant to what we're gonna talk about today because it was all about repeating ideas and then I went down a rabbit hole that would like my head hurts. I had to come up for air and just shut down my all the tabs. All the tabs that led me to Google. Because I'm like, oh my gosh, I'm gonna confuse myself and you'll know this, I've said this thousands of times on this podcast and all everywhere Donna Miller says if you confuse you lose. So if I'm confused myself, there was a good possibility I was probably going to confuse you all too. So let's just keep it in layman terms, right? Why are you trying to sound so smart anyways crystal? Let's just keep it real. Let's just tell it like it is. But okay, here's the thing. I was looking for the word, and 'cause I think there's a word for it, right? Whenever, okay, I will tell you one thing. I do know this. I don't remember where I learned it initially if it was in like a science class or what, but my mom and I talk about this all the time. So you have your reticular activating system. I do know that. That's part of something that happens in your brain, right? Where all of a sudden want to buy a new car, right? My husband and I we have our minivan, right? This thing's been paid off forever, and I've been looking at, oh, and the next few years, mama's gonna need another car once our youngest is totally done with car seats and stuff. And so we were looking at and I'm probably gonna say it wrong, but it's the Kia Telluride. I think that's how you say it. And ever since we started talking about it, I was like, oh my gosh, I see them everywhere everywhere. I said, look, there's another one. Oh, there's one and why? There's one in gray. Those are pretty cool looking cars. And then we just see them all the time. Well, this is your reticular activating system because it's like no, they've probably been there all along, you just now know what to look for and you see them. So anyway, long story short, I mean, this is just the worst introduction ever. But I wanted to bring this up because the question, this came up two times in one day and I was like, oh my gosh, I have to talk about this on the podcast because you all must have this question.

"This is bird note. There's more than one way to climb a tree. No bird better adapted for climbing up a trunk then. A woodpecker its foot. Design is ideal for clinging with two toes pointing forward and two back relatively short legs mean it can anchor itself securely and the spiky central feathers in its long stiff tail dig into the bark bracing the bird against the while climbing so when traveling upward. The woodpeckers a master hitching down not so much usually they'll fly nut hatches are also expert climbers but they can easily go up and down a nut. Hatches tail is shorter than it woodpeckers but its legs are longer and very strong it walks over the bark by grasping with one leg while using the other for a prop and it has a rear facing to- equipped with a long sharp claw that's ideal for hanging on while heading downward one way. These different climbing adaptations play out. Primarily nut hatches search for insects in the crevices of bark while climbing down while woodpeckers forage as they climb up so one sees pray that the other doesn't bird note. I'm mary mccann..

If you're scaling the ability to target everybody because google and facebook know everything about you the ability to get leo time feedback to your messages and adapt quickly is probably the second most valuable aspect of it and i mean i did this all the time if i'm thinking about example if i'm thinking about writing a post or putting a piece of content together instagram which don't because i think it's a waste of time but if i if i do decide that there's something that i think of you know the one time you that's like valuable for other people to see then i will often put my thoughts up on facebook first and then we you eight and adapt that piece of content and before based off the feedback and often people add stuff to would have questions. Maybe i wasn't clear in that. I thought that i was more clear on and then put that back up by us that it's it's incredible to octopus blog. You're just works with the. I believe the turn is the cochlea. The inner bones in the in the ear cuckoo. One of those years coke. I don't think it's pronounced coca alita. "You. Now you diffusing you efforts and the more of buckshot approach you take less impactful. Your shot's going to be so not to say that you can't do it on about you. I ain't got much time. How much time do you have. Do you wanna create twice as much work. Nobody got time for that. Here's my next question. Now what if. I've got a group of people that i work with in person already and i don't seem to be able to make it happen online with that group of people. How okay is it for persons struggling to bring their vision online to find a different vision for their online business them what they've been dealt with in the past impersonal business like does that make. Yeah i would say. Don't try to build this big vision. You have no idea what this thing is until you start doing it and then once you start doing it. It's going to transmute six or seven times. I mean how many times have i. Reinvented my business. I mean built new products. Try new things spoken to different people like. That's just what happens as you learn more about your market as you look more. You start to figure out what works better. You can possibly do that before you start so before you start. I mean you only job is to get five to ten clients like it does matter what it is so if you audience in posted doesn't translate to online or to a you may not be communicating. The dow risvan line hybrid effectively to them. I think that's important to know. But even if they if they aren't you don't need to go into this grand vision thing you just need to lead with action so keto. We don't know much about your personality. Your your million right always faking it for the ground. We don't know what you're really like negro wrapped in a riddle. Hey delicious tortilla yourself. We don't know much about you. So how crucial do you think it's been in your career to just be yourself on the internet. Has that helped your career at all in any way. One hundred percent to the extent that i was able to kinda like shift my business around what was happening in my life at the time for example when i had my two younger kids when in between the time one was born and then the next one was coming all the time you spend those years being kinda like in the in the baby world in the caller world the baby led weenie breastfeeding moms. Like that's your world because that's the stage of life in which you yourself are right now and so it made sense that because i was so surrounded by this information in this world and these other women who are going through the same that became my target market. At that time. That was the the people that i was working with because that was all that i was immersed in and so that at that moment having that flexibility of focusing on pre and postpartum moms all medication and then creating the resources for other trainers ause kind of stuff like it opened up a whole world of experience and expertise for myself and i was able to position myself as an expert of sorts within our industry as well so that was awesome. Now i am no longer in that stage of life. I'm done having babies. I'm never going to be a postpartum home like a a pregnant mom again. Thank goodness has. That's very done and that's okay so no came you utah. Shift away from that. Say in really feel like this lighter horror. I thought like having to start over that again. That's because that's legit. That's actually they're like once you're done you're done and i get that now right so because i'm not in that world anymore. The people that surround me and resonate with my message aren't necessarily in that world. My able to still coach preempt Absolutely you one comes in and wants help and want like totally. I can absolutely do it. It's just not my priority in what i'm focusing on right now. I'm more like my business. How do i grow my business. So what happens. Is that other women who are growing their own. Business lives their own professional lives. Dad's becomes attracted to me. Because that's where matt and that's fine so having that flexibility to kind of look at yourself and see what you jive with. Also that doesn't mean that even if you move away from a certain life stage you can still stay entirely in that world and continue like people who are no longer going to have kids or have no interest in that whatsoever are perfectly capable of working with moms. Because it's a you know you still have to develop this gilson's and the language the empathy in the connection odd stuff but that's more of a human thing right so yeah like the bad flexibility for me is wonderful because like you say whatever it is that feels right for me. That day like. That's why i do. The so. So being yourself allows you to attract the demographic if i if i can be honest. That sounds ridiculous. That sounds like it makes no to say amraam. I'm gonna ask you to strike the last ten minutes from this. Podcast up tosses back to jonathan name. Because i have a follow question. Is it safe to say that. Perhaps you can use some of the last five or six minutes now. Your relatives not relevant to what keto say. I've already forgotten okay. That's fine the question. I pose is if you're struggling with these. Two different demographics are struggling to find your usb. Is it reasonable to say that you could go on the internet and just be your authentic self. Is that a legit strategy for instead of trying to ride it out. Find.

"And figured out how to do it. Nobody told me how to do it. Nobody commission the same thing with website. Same thing with all of our products right so it's always kind of been underdog thing so i think Yeah man. I like underdogs. They feel like that's just from being a smaller guy. You kind of forced to data above a little bit. I agree if i was taller. I'll be of no use to you. Hear the reason that this brain mouth worked so flawlessly. Because he was my defense mechanism guys. I'm sir my friends. Average in height of six one like one six five was allen. My good friends. I look like their child when we go up places like who brought their little weather like i'm actually mistake. That's mike i'm five foot four and a half okay. Turns average five foot three tall paul got strategy. I am not going to be but it's pretty good. It's pretty awesome that you're able to attract a mate when that's a six foot two submarine part. I gotta tell you. I try to do a superhero boots and they swallowed me like i couldn't i couldn't wear the cape either. I didn't i just didn't realize that. They had that many tank. Female tank operators you funny because the first time that i interacted with the picture and the tank top and she was getting into a taken. I was like. That's just not what i meant but is more arousing somehow topic today. I feel like we're we're the twenty minute mark where we need to start talking about things that the topic is how to have more than one target market. Oh this is a good topic we just oh you mean the topic that we talked about like twenty minutes ago. Yes that's opic that makes sense. Have you guys noticed the exquisite piece of hotel art bombing by the way yeah match van gogh or what like i dunno art. I just know. I like it. This one's coming home with me. There's i've seen a lot of hotel my day as you can imagine. And i if it's pretty terrible like and indeed blissfully so it's it's not that it's playing out behind me you can kind of see is like kind of plain boring as like the it's not like it's plain and boring. It's just like really really detailed but like in a really awful way in like in a terrible way unless like you. Exact specific like desire which i feel like for hotels a bad idea except where we stayed in puerto vallarta when alison. I did a few nights away. This is when we saw the drag pole dancing show. Oh yes remember that with the with the asked angles track tried to only do i remember not art and then he shot off phallic. Confetti gun at us. I was of course in the front row. Yeah good good by the hotel that we stayed in had was like super super old school and had i mean it was just pitchers of jesus in all of these different sister. Everything in the water like like old creepy kinder rested pitchers of it. Like i want this looking at me in this bed with my way to go in to see opponents in drag show. I'm good thank you did. You're not gonna doors that housekeeping notes. Christ situation where else needed. What happens it you. I'm not even go there. I do have an internal auditing device. That works sometimes. This was a one time for this year. That's gonna go there so we're talking about if we're talking about anything at all we're talking about. Having more than one demographic you know amber actually came up with this topic. We liked to say that anytime. We think this op is going to be horrible. We'd like to identify who came up with it. They never know how this is going to go. So whatever you in the next twenty minutes or fifteen seven. I think it's ama- had. Ptsd dot com. Is that right at the tv. Ah god bless you. Jonathan is allergic to this bullshit. There were about to say when you have most demographics now amber has an example of when she runs into this i have an example when our into it as as online training and was like what am i are you. Are you queuing up. That's not what it's not. Get another job that oh nice. Double k dude accurate way. Third sneeze before this is over now. I'm i'm a single. I'm a single sneeze there. I'm not one of those people. Say i'm just i'm just wondering street. Double double every time at least usually triple. I don't know what it is. I do not sneeze in singles. It's always a pair. Here's a fun fact about me. I was playing at both with a chew syndrome. Now this is a real thing it stands for acute koya nick. Helium pathak up film. Olfactory reflects holy crap and what it is that. When i look into a bright light i sneeze. Yeah yeah it's called a chew syndrome acute koi onic. Helium pethick opthalmic. Found like okay. That's the app and the factory. That's not needed intensely when it does like soon as you do it. You get an onset of it so as soon as you look in the light. That's crazy man. I'm purchase everyday one day and a friend at work said look into the light like for what he's i don't make you sneeze like no no does but i didn't realize that it. I realized that it was. Yeah the best is up. One day on pubmed. 'cause i looked it up. I looked it up on pubmed. And they're actually studies about it and every single one of the studies like it seems like this percentage of the population has it. There's nothing you can do about it. It's not harmful in any way and you're just like man researcher who had to do this paper like they were bottom of the barrel. Tell by how the writing that they are not happy that they had to write a twenty page paper on this absolutely inconsequential. Nothing late ninety. We've you mean nothing. You know the more. I hear about your flirtations with the internet. The more i want your internet privileges taken away. By the way. Can we put pubmed. On the same lists. Red amber please restrict off his slain slain. Whatever the slaying urban dictionary get them off of that too. I got a bunch of come on now. wait. I got two hundred and thirty komando at it. Really bad right. That means nothing that means that like two hundred and thirty people have liked something that i did on. Okay that's all right okay. very good. S catalina powers up for the rest of the bullshit that we're delivering today. I think ambush you're talk about.

"Just say you know as s corrupt or secret identity. That's all i'm gonna say. The first line of attack for superhero is the people that care about. I don't wanna be lowest ran. You know what mean know. Nothing you've done right to with to really have you know it's interesting. I only divulged any tragic circumstances my life. Nothing good you know. If i need to reach out your there when it comes to having real conversations. I can't be standoffish and i get weird so i feel like that's where relationship needs to be here on the podcast. If he liked me too much you liked me too much. I might not be as offensive towards all of you during the recording. The show that choson lithuanian numbers down. I don't want that to happen. Either you guys want to see the beach. You wanna see the water filter visually. I don't really see it. Oh you're very nice shit out here for a second nosey. Yeah that'll be good for the sound quality in the background too noisy. I'm into your audio. Quality is so bad anyway. Probably won't make pretty bad. I'm gonna go doubt before. It actually doesn't make any difference. It's just awful to start with to shelling out there. that's not. That's always into student. And just cool johnson with julia child lou interested to student. Sad javon dannatt without the started out selling was that i thought to myself the the. Here's a couple of rows you know who are awesome and it would be fair to the other boroughs. If they were also tall. The universe had to even it out some way because because it was being so charismatic so so amazingly. I love amorous faces. I'm saying this bullshit still like man so so tried so so quickey in it matic to a certain extent you know. If they were taller it would be unfair to the rest of the male gender. So here we are welcome to the online traders. Gatos gotta local latino protein pai. I've got horrible. Sound an audio today. you will. It's pretty bad pretty bad. Let's scala is in jonathan's here and he's got so that could save the show. Amber stoic has always riveted the conversation of dinners point very much involved in what we're doing here and i guess we're gonna talk about so kiddo. You had a bunny head face in your yard. Last time without house massacred wildlife moment around the home. These days. it's been really nice. There had been no no new casualties. That i can report today. I am very glad to inform you all of that. Not that i'm not trying like yesterday. We had lunch. We had outside and it was like a beef. Stir-fry and then i accidentally dropped a piece of beef and then deva's like pick it up right away because we don't want any animals roaming around like bowie do we don't am i need material for the podcast. So i'm you know what i'm just gonna leave that there as he comes in the night ise like i dunno subject matter this is how we get the first. Twenty minutes of the podge podcast. Jim so just five down buddy let a little letter track more credits. It's not jonathan you're doing. You're doing workouts in the gym and being swollen stuff. Kevin was in there. You know being slowly it. so how. how's that going well. There you guys get sold again. I took yesterday off. I was feeling pretty beat up. Actually i trained. Like i mean 'cause there's nothing we will continue at home when we got back to travel so there was nothing to do so i in two thousand nine days in a row plus did all landscape and stuff like that like we'd eight yards of soil and mulch delivered to our house which is hundred plus wheelbarrows. So i was at my body was pretty up so i took yesterday off which folk good but then this morning. Alison allison is great. I mean she's she's special for lottery since but she basically just invites any of the women from the neighborhood if they want to just show up at seven puts together a little bit of a circuit in a garage on online so today was imposed back yet to women. Just you know from the neighborhood just came in very different levels of fitness and just came in laughed in started the day off Moved a little bit and it's it's really cool so we started day off high. So so bobby yesterday. Bobby a we you know. We have a new senior director of marketing. board Super excited and exciting and was talking about how good he's been so far and stuff like that and bob yesterday was like underdogs. Don't you mike first of all like we kind of have to. Because we're not like a sexy company like people people don't tell their friends and family that they're going to work for a company because if they did they'd be like oh so you're not getting paid understand how it works so we have to kind of find talent under the we have to work ho due to identify we'll talent but but also aren't been an underdog i mean i don't know but julian but like being the small guy playing sports lake union underdog every day your life. Just because you're i mean except what. I did judo than i had vantage. Because then i was like i place me against some six foot guy. I'm going into a center of gravity taken out his legs if all stanton kneecaps baby but i definitely i mean i've always considered myself an underdog i and i take pride in that and it's little fire by but from day one right now everything that i did. I mean there was no building up the pd and everything like nobody gave me permission. Everyone of my and eleven books that i wrote like i self published in so funded that from start to finish.

That's all that's all i'm gonna say and on hey locals when you were meant representing for the gentlemen under six feet tall. I'm a gentleman under five and i. Nope know jonathan. And i said if they're two men to to relatively relatively handsome man such as ourselves. Okay handsome. whatever you don't need to you don't need to add that. Justify i was letting your mix in. Obviously i'm handsome. But i didn't want it i don't want to but you relatively part of the handsome equation forced me to say that. That's not what i wanted to go with this story. But you just won't leave well enough alone. Will you have been under six feet tall. It would be unfair so the rest of the male population if we will also talk when you add a a winning personalities are obvious wit rivera quitting your chart it quits. Both of us very witty. Because there's just all started on it. Yeah there's so much blood that's despite this common theme it's the same person who was the same. The same postseason who is selling real estate. For years ago tweeting. Four x two years ago selling trainers how to become an online training a year ago and now selling cryptocurrencies. Like it's the same. It's the same thing. It's the same people who go to ihop pancakes at two in the morning. Who liked to fistfights. That is just common. Themes i agree with that synopsis. Jonathan except about that. Four was more recent than online training. I thought it was all non training then forex than cryptocurrency.
