Tornado recovery tough in Mississippi, one of poorest states

"In Mississippi and Georgia, they're digging out from tornadoes that tore through parts of both states with up to 200 mph winds. At least 25 people were killed in Friday's Mississippi storms where that EF four tornado stretched for 59 miles, according to meteorologists. Volunteers like Jared coons on the ground helping residents left homeless. Houses, homes, everything is everything I can see is in some state of destruction. Now the southern plains and Midwest racing for more severe storms Thursday and Friday says national weather service storm prediction center forecaster Jared guyer. This kind of setup could produce severe storms capable of large hail damaging winds and tornadoes. Guyer says we're getting into prime season for tornadoes. I'm Julie Walker.

"About two dozen deaths are reported in rural Mississippi, with fears that number will grow after a fierce tornado blasted the region. The national weather service says the tornado was moving at about 70 miles an hour when it barreled through towns northeast of Jackson, Mississippi. In sharkey county, there are reports of gas leaks and people trapped in piles of rubble. The mayor of rolling fork, Eldridge walker told an interviewer, my city is gone. He had been trapped inside his damaged home because of downed power lines. Mississippi's governor says emergency crews are being sent from around the state after the storm's destruction through sharkey county. It raced toward Alabama. Frank Sontag, Founder of Kingdom Me’s Gathering, Shares His Story

"Frank sontag, welcome to the officer Tatum show. Carl, that's great to see you again. Glad to be back on the program. Thank you. Absolutely. Absolutely. I love having you on. We've been trying to connect podcast wise, different time zones. So hopefully soon we'll make that happen, but I love having you here to talk about to talk about your men's ministry. First off, give us a little background, Frank about your own personal story, and then why you decided to found this kingdom man's gathering ministry. I was raised as a Catholic and walked away from the church in high school when I decided that I had enough of quote unquote religion. And went out in the world, bought a motorcycle in 1984 at a very serious crash, which caused me to reassess my life at the age of 28. I fell into the new age movement, which for the listeners and for the viewers that don't know what new wage is, it's loosely put truth in all religions, love is the answer, all pas lead to God, spiritual, but not religious. And that kind of appeal to me in the aftermath of a situation that I knew I shouldn't have survived. I was reared in on my motorcycle by someone doing a 110 miles an hour. Obviously here to talk about it. Yep. Life-changing moment for 25 years, I was a new age teacher in Southern California, seminars, workshops, speaking engagements, thousands of people. I actually thought I was doing good in the world, spiritually speaking, but when it came to God and the Bible, never really opened the Bible. We had catechism growing up. 25 years after this momentous day, I had another momentous day. December 17th of 2009, Carl, I met the risen savior. I had a moment where two brothers that loved me a great deal. Saw that I had achieved heights in the new age movement, the LA times did a front page article on me calling me a new age guru. I had long hair at the time. As hard as that may be to imagine. And they had had enough. My best friend gave his life to Christ three years previous. They did what I call a Christian intervention for two and a half hours. They hammered me one day. They got me to say that I had lied. I had cheated. I was a sinner, that three letter word SIN, a lot of people don't like to hear. And then they were kind of like well. And at the end of two and a half hours, Carl would came out of my mouth because human will is very strong. I said, look, if that works for you, fine. Not for me. I'm a spiritual teacher, and I started pleading my case. Very long story short, we made sure and put it in my book. I have a book called light the way home. Got spoke to me.

Bobby Burack: Racism Displayed by the Left to Black Americans

"Portion of those people had never been told, okay, see it. You're allowed to leave. No one's making you work here. If you don't like the way I'm running my company, then so be it. I think that that was shocking. But what you mentioned Chris Rock as well. Were they allowed to kick down the door because they're black, whereas if a white comedian is like a Louis C.K., had tried to do that, then they would have been shut down. Yeah, I think it was absolutely a great point there because I think by them doing it. See, this is why the left always talks so much about how the right is racist and I mean the most prevalent and known form of racism that I see in society right now is the way the left attacks black Americans who disagree. Look at what they do to justice clarence Thomas or Herschel Walker or Candace Owen because what that does is they're living contradictions to the entire message of the left being untrue. So when Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock attack, all identities from black to trans to white to straight, it contradicts the idea that the right is holding down black people and that woke ism is the savior for it that's prioritizing them. I think that's a great observation by you that it's even more effective when Chappelle and rock are pushing back against these ideas and these trends and patterns than it would be for someone like Russell Brand who is now doing it, but he came a bit late to the party. He was following after Chappelle and after Chris Rock. In many ways, this is the worst case scenario for progressives because Netflix is the most influential streamer by far. They've lost Netflix. Twitter is the trendsetter, the default editor for the corporate press. They've lost Twitter. The two leading comedians by a mile are Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle. They've lost them.

Sonny Bunch Discusses Guy Ritchie's "Operation Fortune"

"You got to go to the movies. And the good news is John Wick is back. The bad news is operation fortune has not been much noticed by anyone. Sonny munch is here, the official movie critic of the Hugh Hewitt show. Airline miles rolling downhill towards him faster than boulders in an avalanche. Sunny, I want to talk to you about operation fortune and Guy Ritchie before we go to John Wick. Why didn't no one know that movie was out? It was very entertaining. Well, you know, that movie has had an interesting and kind of cursed release. It was supposed to come out, it was supposed to come out last year. It was supposed to come out more than more than 12 months ago. And it ended up getting kind of caught in the Russia Ukraine news cycle because originally the villain in that movie was a series of Ukrainian gangsters. Oh my gosh. No kidding. Yeah, so it got kind of caught up in that news cycle. The final version, they edited out the Ukrainian gangsters. They changed the villains around a little bit, I think. I don't know if they reshot any of the scenes or if it was just a little bit of sniffing here and there. I mean, I for one really enjoyed operation fortune. Even the fetching misses Hewitt, who generally doesn't, she won't go see John Wick, but because Hugh Grant was it using the Michael Caine access. She wanted to go see it. Yeah, so this is the second movie, I think. That Hugh Grant has done with Guy Ritchie, the first was the gentleman, which came out. A couple of years back. And I feel like Guy Ritchie is kind of unlocked something a little bit different within him. He's not. He's funny and bad. Yeah, no, it's interesting what he's doing. Anyway, I like to operation fortune a lot, but because it got kind of, again, it got wrapped up in all this. And there was also stuff with the distributors so that this movie was financed by a company called STX, which has kind of gone out of business that sold off their interests. So this got bought up by I can't even remember who MGM or somebody.

A Prayer for Unsaved Friends

"Be willing to go the extra mile to help your Friends receive Salvation in Jesus Christ. When it comes to praying for your Friends, be passionate, asking God to do whatever it takes for them to receive his gift of new life. This truly is a life or death situation where nothing on earth is more important for them than having their sins paid in full by the blood of the lamb. Without it, your friends will be lost forever. Ephesians one 7 explains in him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace. Let's pray, dear father, we ask you to reach out and reveal your truth to our unsafe Friends, intervene O lord in their lives today, free them from unbelief. Father, please soften their hearts towards you. That their ears be open to hear their eyes to see and their hearts to understand your truth. So they might receive your Salvation through Jesus Christ. Do whatever it takes in their lives lord to bring them to faith in you. As acts for 12 reveals, Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given, to mankind, which must be saved. Help them to understand that Jesus is the only way to you father and is able to save them completely. Living forevermore to intercede on their behalf. Freedom from unbelief your father and give them a new heart and a new spirit within them. In Jesus name, amen.

Biden's Problem on the World Stage

"It off in the show intro today about the Biden administration's problem on a world stage. Right now you have Iran, China, Russia, and North Korea all flexing their muscles on the oral stage because frankly, they don't think they believe that the Biden administration will do anything about it. And now you have a Russian plane basically hitting one of our Reaper drones over the Black Sea near the Ukraine and, you know, just hitting it and nothing at this point is happening. I've watched a few interviews lately and today. And the last, as we've been going on yesterday and today about the fact that these countries are not going to keep quit doing this until they're met with resistance. And this is a scary mile for sure. Yeah. I mean, I don't really know. I mean, again, okay, first of all, it's Russia. So they're obviously, it's so funny that with everything like they're always just going to be our enemy. They're like, it's such a weird, I don't want to put it in because a lot of lives have been lost for this, but just the idea that they're kind of like, if you watch a cartoon, like the arch enemy that keeps coming back. That's like Russia, like the Cold War was supposedly ended almost 40 years ago. Yeah. And we're still dealing with this nonsense because we're helping a nation. And we're not and we're just a floating drone. It's not like we're spying on Russia. I mean, we're probably always spying on Russia, but they're also always flying on us. What's the difference?

Is It Time to Decouple From China? David McCormick Explains

"So provocative idea that some people have floated out that I sympathize with on moral terms, but I also understand that it's rather aggressive is that time to decouple. I mean, there are some really thoughtful people that are talking about economically, that's a harsh measure that would definitely mean that there would be rising costs and probably economic uncertainty. But is that something we should be entertaining or at the very least, you know, identify ten or 20, 30 different sectors. They say we want to make this your thoughts. What I call it in the book is strategic decoupling. And listen, I was shocked, Charlie. I can't believe it. And I know I should follow a no such things, but that our pharmaceutical supply chains during COVID were so dependent on China. I was, you know, I knew we were highly dependent on microchips but 90% of the microchips that we require are manufactured 90 miles from Mainland China in Taiwan. So it is an absolute travesty that we have an entire semiconductor industry which is critical to every aspect of national security and economic well-being that's offshore. So that's a perfect example where we need to decouple. There are a number of areas where we need to bring those capabilities home or have them within our closest allies where we can be dependent on it. And that's going to have implications for our ability to have manufacturing jobs here at home in very positive ways. It may raise costs but it will create actual security.

New Intel on Biden's Disgraceful Withdrawal From Afghanistan

"There is a telling new piece of information concerning Biden's disgraceful withdrawal from Afghanistan from Kabul. And this, if anything puts to Biden people in an even more deplorable light. In fact, it doesn't make the U.S. Military look very good either. Now a little bit of background just to refresh your memory in July 2021, Joe Biden abandons Afghanistan. He does it by abandoning the Afghan Bagram airfield in the middle of the night. I mean, essentially they just turn the lights out and took off, they didn't even tell the Afghan commander who only found out about the departure two hours after it happened. As we know, the United States left behind all kinds of military equipment, to humvees, uniforms, rations, even all kinds of sports drinks. For the Taliban terrorists who were just downright delighted to find this huge stash of weapons gifted to them. Worth tens of millions of actually perhaps billions. I'm not sure. I don't remember the number now. Now, the Taliban takes over the background air force which by the way is about 30 miles north of Kabul. And if you'll remember, there was an ISIS suicide bomber who murdered 13 U.S. servicemen and women, 6 and a 169 Afghans as well. And this guy was one of the guys at the Taliban released from a prison at the Bagram base. So by abandoning Bagram, we turn it over to the Taliban, they release the guy who turns out to be the suicide bomber. His name is Abdul Rahman. And he sets off this explosive that causes all this carnage. Now our story picks up right here and involves a sergeant, his name is Tyler Vargas Andrews, U.S. Marine Corps sniper, and he was serving in Afghanistan at bad time. Turns out that he spotted the suicide bomber. He recognized that this guy was about to do something bad. He might not have known how many explosives the guy has on him, but he recognized him, he stood out and he requested authority from the U.S. Military to shoot. This is where things take a very bad turn. He says, I requested engagement authority while my team leader was ready. The response, leadership does not have the engagement authority for us. Do not engage.

"It was a monumental weekend. We saw it today, one of the largest moves in rates we saw Bitcoin as well move back up to 25,000. We saw the USD C stablecoin D peg down to something like 80 7 cents or something at some point while I mean three or four crypto banks just got literally a sawed off shotgun blown to the back of the head. Sorry, but it was a brutal takedown in a very coordinated effort. And some were still here in Bitcoin's at 25 K so pizza mine, what do we make of all this? I just finished a podcast recording earlier with erbil karaman from cumul finance, and in that podcast I said the game is rigged. So while it looks like the American government is completely anti crypto. And they don't want innovation on their soil. The actual opposite is true. And they're doing everything in their power to hold their legs around this industry that is just running a million miles an hour. And we know freaking old people in the government just can't keep up and they're saying, we don't want this to get away from us. We want to be able to participate. We want to keep control of this. But we're not ready. And the crypto space is saying, we don't need you to be ready. And we don't care about you. In fact, we were invented to fix all the problems you have created. So screw you. And they're saying, no way. So, here's what I'm seeing happening right now. We're seeing a coordinated effort to try and crash as many young startups as possible. Washington's Disconnect From Middle America

"Last question on this Dave McCormick, one of my comments yesterday flying cross country was billions for the blue bubble boys in Silicon Valley and you don't get the time of day if you're an eastern Ohio or western Pennsylvania on the derailment. Some people thought that wasn't fair, but I believe it's all of a sudden these connected VCs are on the phones of their buddies in D.C.. They get action in 48 hours. We still haven't got the president in east Palestine, and you know that area very well. I mean, you grew up there. You probably are closer to each Palestine than I am. It was 40 miles down the road from Warren, but it's probably less from where you grew up. Yeah. Well, you know, from where I was born, certainly. Yeah, I grew up in a different part of the state, but I grew up around Scranton, but I was born right near there and I've been talking to my Friends at beaver county. Who are most affected by it. And I agree with you a 100% in the following sense. The thing that I discovered on the campaign trail, the thing that I felt more visceral I should say on the campaign, the thing that I think president Trump tapped into in 2016 is that there's this disconnect where the people that are making policy in Washington and the excel a bubble between Washington, New York are completely disconnected and really not particularly focused on or care about the people that are living in mainstream America. And that certainly the case with and these Palestine thing is essentially a good example, not because the president is showing up would have changed the outcome necessarily or even change the policy. It would have been reflective of actually caring and being connected to the people that are most affected by it. And it's the same with fentanyl, it's the same with fracking. It's the same with inflation. It's the same with the open border. These are issues which are being felt by a huge part of America, and that was really the inspiration for the book.

"more than mile" Discussed on The NBA Show

"Over the queue to rob before I almost feel like this is a situation where I think the failure has been surrounding these guys with the right type of players. To waz this point earlier, like, yeah, they do need an adult in the room. They do need someone to take the reins in terms of leadership. But at the same time, the irony, the tragic irony of this team is that they parole clutch all these draft picks built for the long road. Tragic for you. But you look at some of these recent picks like Aaron nee Smith and Peyton Pritchard and Romeo Langford Robert Williams is the third. A guy time lord, 27th overall was kind of incredible. But there's a lot of hit and misses then you see like, oh yeah, they traded Langford for thybo. And they traded away the Desmond bane pic and you're just like those type of guys. If you just get those two guys in your situation, I wonder if this team is just in competition for our top four season east already. And it's hard to overcome that, but at the same time, it provides hope that maybe if you're just getting a couple of these right, you could actually just build around your two pillars that everyone seems to want on their teams. I just can't believe you would leave us like this. You just made me a moderator of the Q forum and got the hell out of there. Yeah. Sorry buddy. All right, let's move along here to a team that we referenced earlier. The Indiana Pacers are looking to blow it up slash maybe not. There's some collecting evidence of that. As we're recording this, someone had a conversation with herb Simon who is 87 years old, long as ten years older than he suggested that he is not game for a rebuild, what you would probably assume just given that bio blast that just gave for him. But there were reports earlier that the very least that they're looking for looking for conversations willing to talk about carousel are willing to talk about sabonis and miles Turner. I think it does beg the question that we've been having for a while now. Longer than Ben Simmons even. If you were to split up demons a bonus in miles Turner was, who would you deal and who would you keep? I mean, if I'm the pacers, obviously, I'm keeping miles Turner. I'm keeping the huge 7 footer who's been basically in the defensive player of the year category for about three to four years now. Stretches you to three point land, yeah, miles Turner is who I'm gonna keep because again, his game is so scalable, like you put him in any context is going to work, right? No matter what type of ball dominant players, like, look, I think what people get confused, right? It's 'cause he doesn't do the stuff. He doesn't do the sort of, you know, the elbow work that's a bonus does and it's cute. Right? In a game when you watch it, it's like, oh, that's pretty, that's like basketball skill, but to what end? What does making sabonis the focal point of your team do for you? 37 wins. So while I guess it looks good and it probably takes more skill or whatever, but functionally, when you try to build a team that matters, rim protection and stretchiness at the 5 position, you really can't ask for much more in today's NBA, except for, of course, that third level of it, which is destroying switches which, while he's not porzingis level, terrible at it, miles Turner, he's not at the 8 level. Obviously, he's not. You know, your kid, you are some of the best guys at killing the switches. Well, let's talk about the scalability because although we can't ask more of miles Turner than being a stretch bake, who's also a defensive player of the year candidate. I think he would ask more than that. And so that's kind of the question for me is are you willing to expand miles Turner's offensive role into what he wants it to be because he's made very clear what kind of player what kind of role he envisions for himself in this article with Jared Weiss of the athletic as bad as candid as anyone can be in the middle of a season as far as wanting more than they have. If you don't feel great about that proposition, I don't know how great you can feel about the idea that he's going to be super engaged and super thrilled about playing whatever role you actually want him to play, you know. What is his next level here? 'cause I almost feel like he has risen in valley and risen in our estimation and in particular this conversation of sabonis versus Turner because he's doing less. He's playing more of a programmatic style because you want him to both protect the rim and you want him to shoot threes. I don't know if I want that other stuff, and so I wonder if you're trading for him. Maybe you're actually trading for the bad stuff. And this is actually the role he should be playing no matter what. I think, man, I think what it comes down to is winning. When you're on a team that gets 43 wins at best and sabonis is sucking up possession after his possession, like it's easy to look around and be like, for what, for who for why? What is the point of this? If sabonis was producing, you know, that the type of office that they were doing pre carlile, right? With sabonis, being so heavily involved. Those were producing 51 55 win teams. Second round of the playoffs, knocking on the door Conference Finals. And miles turn was a part of those important teams important games. I think it's hard to say anything about it, but when you win in 38 games a year and this is the dude who y'all through y'all lot in and he made that fluky ass all star team. So people are kissing his ass all over the place. It's easy to look around and say, I mean, really? This is the best we could do. I think I could do better. I understand that impulse. That's why we get to herb Simon in this because if what he wants is a championship level team. I think miles Turner is more your guy than sabonis. I'm not even totally sold that Turner is that guy, but I think he has a better shot of being a big on a championship team. If your goal is being pretty good, I think it's I think it's pretty easy to build a pretty good team around sabonis. And frankly, I think this team is probably pretty good if not for being constantly injured and losing a bunch of close games. I think this is a pretty solid team anchored around sabonis is just, is that really what you want to was this point? Is this really what we're aiming for? And then I guess the question is what team is aiming for that? Who is out there at trading force of bonus with the hope of just like aspiring to the middle? I can't even think of a single team that operates like the pacers. They're the typical answer for this question, so I wonder if it's just more question of who's willing to pay more and you're maybe willing to pay more for Turner because like you mentioned, he seems to be the prototypical center you want on a very good team. I almost wondered not to keep throwing the nets every conversation, but the nets would be perfect for him because he wouldn't be in a featured role, but he would do everything that they need, particularly on the defensive end. They wanted to be particularly cruel Brooklyn. I wonder if like a Kyrie Irving for miles Turner plus stuff would make a lot of sense for both sides. I suspect they would hope for more. From the net side, if they're going to disrupt their start dynamic, I would think they would want more than miles Turner. But all of this big stuff aside, I think what's kind of quietly a problem for me with the pacers is Karis levert doesn't really work with any of these guys and so whatever the outcome is and again, maybe the outcome is they trade nobody as is kind of a pacer's custom. Whatever the outcome is, if they're really negotiating on Turner, sabonis or who should we deal? I would try to find a taker for Keras liver. I think he could help a lot of other teams, but the chemistry with those bigs doesn't really work. And I don't really see him as being like a complete pairing with Malcolm Brogdon at all..

"Game malls a guy. I'm liking in my dynasty league. That i've done recently. I took him in the tenth rounds of my donald leagues over dynasty league. You want draft some young rookie. Some promising players gain walls grid there. I think in that maybe the tenth round in a standard league in a pp's specifically appr league. I think getting gained while is going to be great He might not get a lot of run earlier. In the season. Garcia miles does see him get acclimated the football because he hasn't played a legitimate real football games between nineteen. don't forget. He sat up the entirety of the twenty twenty season because of kota reasons and just to get ready for the nfl draft. So i think he's someone who might not reform super bowl ad the gate but if you're keeping him on your bench by week five six seven you might have a huge huge role in this eagles offense as there may pass catching running back. And he's getting all those third-down snaps and you're playing in a pr lee. Getting a point for all his catches he could be really really valuable to say nothing of his caliber as a as a runner. Too and boston scott's guy who kind of the inverse of kenny jimbo. Who might get those third-down snaps more than miles enters extra snaps as a good pass catching running back earlier in the season but i think eventually that gain while will take more snaps away from both bosco and sanders and potentially be specifically appr league the most valuable eagles running back to roll with this season. Some kind of avoiding mile sanders early. If he falls down enough maybe just ground because he he'll still get a lot of rushing yards. Install excerpt value there. But we're talking about pr. I think gain well is an undervalued asset. I don't wanna comment acid just a person to have her team. I don't want to say like we're owning these players were. Gm's just having fun. But i think game wasn't undervalued player potentially drifts specifically if you're not doing what's mother hardcore eagles fans i think mile sanders because of his name recognition. Because he's a second round tick because he played at penn state might be slightly overvalued they're trying to find the inefficiencies in the market. You're doing moneyball for your fantasy football to go to the receivers of fantasy. Prose is a great tool website. To check out for your fantasy football need check out some consensus rankings. Taking things from all over the internet putting them together and i've seen In their p pr list. Devante smith is less. There's the consensus number forty nine receiver. I think he's going to outperform that rankings. Again you're playing with some eagles fans people might just jump on devante smith. He won the heisman. The first unreviewed eagles gonna force feed him and that actually might be true but necessarily he's a rookie wide receiver. Some have struggled historically but in the last handful half dozen years we've seen a rookie wide. Receivers burst out of the scene We look at some from the last couple years. Justin jefferson hadn't historic rookie season one offensive rookie of the year. In twenty twenty. He finished as the six overall wide receiver as a rookie and twenty nine thousand nine. Aj brown finished as the ninth wide receiver as a rookie and then finished again in. Twenty twenty this offering as the ninth overall best receivers. Npr lease and then in twenty nine t g k met tests finish as a second round pick finishes the thirtieth overall wide receiver as a rookie. I think smith probably falls a little bit more closer to metcalf in terms of immediate fancy impact. I think he won't be. He's not going to be in top ten wide receiver. Probably the this. This league is overflowing with water. Seaver town but i think he can finish in that twenty to thirty range and i'm really excited what he can do for fantasy team. And i think you'll have monster season this year. He's my offensive rookie of the year. Pick now i don't think necessarily be that you know sue nami crazy impact that jefferson had as a rookie with the vikings having the best rookie wide receiver season since randy moss and nineteen ninety coincidentally with the vikings as well so i think smith going to have a great season but i don't expect him to have that justin jefferson. Aj brown immediate top ten top fifteen wide receiver impacts for other guys quiz watkins. He's a guy who i think you know fantasy websites whether it's yahoo or espn isn't privy to the fact that he's probably the numbers you wide receiver option in this offense more even so than jalen reiger based on how they performed in training camp based on how they performed a preseason. What we saw briefly last year in jalen hurts was the started out there. Working with the wide receivers. I think he will be the starting outside receiver opposite devante smith with jalen regular working the slot. I've seen some fantasy and imposed and note saying that raiders are really undervalued player so we should target because he's under valid second-year player disappointed as a rookie on saying. I'm staying away from jalen regular johnny deceived. I i'm taking wes. Watkins waiver him. He's getting drafted round and round and round later than jalen regular quiz. I think i got him. He's a guy. And i wrote this in my mail bag for. Bgn this week. If he's he's because he's so low on the draft boards. When you're yeah people on your head eisner thing that you're going to say where we in the nitty gritty and you have ninety sixty seconds to pick during your draft or kind of just looking at the players that are right there up.

"And I think he will get claimed on waivers. I don't think that this is gonna be easy to get him back on the practice squad or get him back in the mix after the fact. So are you surprised that they gave up on miles Brian? Because I certainly am. Yeah, unless it's something where he's not healthy enough to pass a physical. Sure. And then, you know, they can get them back. We always talk about, oh, you cut somebody. You keep this player, you then put the player on IR, you bring the other guy back. There's no reason if you'd rather lose the injured player than the healthy player, right? Let's say they don't have a guy they want to risk exposing more than miles Bryant, Yanni produce, for example. I don't know this for sure. I'm just pulling out a name because he was a bubble roster guy. Let's say, Yannick juice was the next guy to get cut. If they wanted to keep miles Bryant, IR him and then bring to juice back. But they're more worried about losing to juice than Bryant. Well, then you just released Bryant, get your 53, bring them back, you know, after he clears waivers if he does, and I arm and then you go right back to he's eligible to come back. So if he gets through waivers, I would fully expect him to be back. He showed a ton last year. He showed a ton this summer. I think he's a really good football player. I think he had a role in this year's team that is now empty. That they now need to kill and I don't know how they're going to fill it. But yeah, I can't see them getting them back. I am a little surprised that they that they moved on from him the way that they did. At the end of the day, I think with miles Bryant, what ended up happening was there were just too many instances and they weren't always obvious..

"Go quite the direction i thought it was going to okay so when they were talking with mark in the jail cell and incredible performance. Jj hertzler there by the way has fantastic fantastic performance but i thought he may have been certain or had his own suspicions that garand was actually gower on but just being a klingon and wanting more power one gal around out of the way sure. So that's why he's like. Yeah you go kill him. I if you're so sure yeah. I have my suspicions about him to. Yes yeah you go kill him. he's like. I'll set everything up. You just pulled out cock the gun you pull. The trigger is effectively. What he said so. I thought okay. Maybe he's not a changeling and this is going to go down a different path which would kind of negate owes quote unquote vision. That he had. It's like oh yeah. This guy's this guy's a changeling like well. Then what's the purpose of that if he's not actually changing or no one's a changeling So of that matt. what's that. What would the purpose of that be. I don't know we'll think about it. What what would happen to to incite this. What what would happen if the federation sent in undercover agents to assassinate gal ron and full-on just kill him. Now they go. We thought he was a changeling. And he's not he's actually just you just assassinated. The hydrate served the klingon empire. What does that do Right and you go all the way back. I mean this matt. I think this comes down to not really the message. I wouldn't say it's the message but it's it's an underlying thing that we need to recognize here. The full insidiousness of the founders. That while they're they've got oto in judgment. They are planting ideas in his. I mean talking about inception planting ideas and his head to lead to a war that when they were owed unquote trying to hide from him exactly and mike and then when they get there they're changeling agent is like yeah. Yeah this is right absolutely. I think he's a changeling. You guys go kill them. I'll help you out. you guys. Go kill them do it. Yeah so my thought was yeah. None of them are changeling martavis. Play played long so he could grab the seat of power and like. That's where i thought the twist was going to go. Not that martin was actually a changeling so I will say though blowing up that that changeling just just all the klingons come together pulling off their blasters and going at it fantastic seed so we don't get well. I haven't seen much of that in star trek lake. I i just don't think it happens. Usually it's either one phaser shot or one stab and there you go it. It depends on just like a whole room of klingons. Keep the season premiere. They had some extra money. Let's do it sure. Yeah we can afford the effects on this one. That's when everything was basically revealed yup founders are entered again founders added again the klingon klingon yoga. Like look it's hard once once blood's been drawn it's hard to stop the battle but you know let's at least start talking. And then he turns around and looks at wharf and he's all like should've killed me when you had the child's buggy and and and i have to say having part he doesn't want to say that this because going to date the episode a little bit but we're in the middle of the nba playoffs and the box. Currently have this guy named bobby portis. And he's mr crazy is on the court and so now. Every time i see geron unlike bobby portis. Oh yeah i know exactly yes he. That's crazy that is crazy yet. That's the episode goes back. They get out of their klingon gear and Oto good with where he is. I guess you know realizes. He needs to be of help to everybody. Yup and we'll we'll see what happens with that. So that's i mean that's the episode right there little little heads up on this case you're interested. The story of oto becoming solid was actually one of those stories. That came through an open submission policy that that star trek had. Okay kinda neat The writing staff however had already been tinkering with the idea of garin being a changeling for most of the season but they never could really make it work out so they when it all kind of occurred him to link it up here and turn it into the season premiere of the next link. It up again. Then you know the it was actually going to be our on for quite a while. They were going to kill him. You know and and do some stuff there. But they wound up changing it over to martin because they thought it was a better twist at the end. Yeah so they definitely thought it. Better twist so i will. I will put this to you. Did you like the set of episodes. Would you wanna watch them again. You understand why they're part of the run. Yes because if i just looked at you said hey by the way oh does solid. Now you've been like. I mean you you already push that by being curious pregnant now but it's not her baby. Sure okay. yeah but that. Wouldn't i mean that one's our tiny like a top keiko's baby who we just found his pregnant. I'm like yeah but that's remember. Okay goes baby. Yeah something happened with her and they had to put it over in the care. Boom okay moving on because it's the beach. There's also though i mean with that there's a different waiting to how it impacts the story this holders deeper meaning to y oto is a salad. Yes not just been stripped from his powers yeah there. There's a reason. Yeah now. I mean there there are episodes coming up. Where like kiro moves into the o'brien's quarters and you know miles is like going crazy. Like doting over here like trying to you know. Put your feet up and going to get her whatever weird cravings that she has and keiko's like You're my husband not hers like you know. And then and then there's other ones where like even accidental. Keiko ever gets keiko almost. Does it like more than miles. Does you know. And and it's like she integrates into the o'brien family in many ways and you know there. There's this new relationship between the o'brien kira and in that carries over but it doesn't it doesn't impact. It's all side story. It's all just character development it. It's not you know oto. Losing a shape. Shifting ability changes fundamentally changes the show earliest the character anyway so well. Would you like to know what our next episode is going to be. Nah we'll be useful our next episode. You're not going to get to watch or listen to because our next episode is a charting the course for voyage or season three now matt. Would you like to know what you're going to be watching for the following week in two weeks from today. Yes all right the useful we're going over to voyager season. Three we're going to be watching an episode called the swarm The swarm sent interesting I do have a couple of extra viewings though i would. I would like to give you These are from deep space nine season five kind of until our next episode of of season. Five we're gonna do two of them. I might spell one of these words for you. The first one is called looking for par mock in all the wrong places. Pr mac park looking for parma. And all the wrong places in this episode matt. Here's your little teaser. Warf meeks broker. "But i'm gonna take the player that i have projected higher at this point. I'm gonna take dj more and hope that the touchdowns actually show up this season because if they do dj moore's atop ten guy okay after dj more your first wide receiver. Lamar went next in kindergarten today. Robert woods travis. Et in so. I'm back on the clock with. Mccaffrey kettle and jefferson. And i'm i'm facing some dilemmas here. You know when you're drafting either. Where jason is or myself you know you have a long long wait and so some of the things you can look at amari cooper right. He is sitting there part of that. Prolific offense love deontay johnson. You mentioned either lock it. Those are kind of the three players at the wide receiver position. I'm looking at at running back. Miles gaskin is there man. Miles gaskin is what do you do. What do you do with miles. I'm gonna show you know. I'm not okay. I'm actually going to go a different direction here. A player. I have not taken a mock draft but a player that i think deserves more attention than i've been willing to give and a player that was just outside the top twenty four last year but had some prolific weeks. A lot of people were excited about it. It's the first time i'm gonna take him I'm actually going to go. Cardinal cardinal sir you taking chase. I'm going to take the combination of My number two quarterback your guys is number one quarterback. Okay i'm gonna try on for size. Cuyler murray and i'm going to take chase. You'll fit into. Yeah the is tailored for all wouldn't be like i don't fit because it's so small i guess yeah that was like jersey or the joke was like my belly's hanging out. Yeah yeah yeah. You guys whiffed So this is where. I look the reason i wanted to take chase. Here's in part. Because i wanted to talk about jason man chase. Edmunds like we hype up. Jason spent a long longtime yesterday discussing the value of travec and the potential travec ten. Eight pass catching extraordinaire. Echlert is in that same. Category that type of running back. Edmunds has that potential on this team. Last year chase edmunds at have a pretty big impact. Some big weeks when they had a huge financial commitment to kenyan drake. While james connor will be part of this committee the financial commitment to james connor and his recent history lowers the kind of forced workload that kenyan drake would have had so chase. Edmunds has the potential to be a vow. Like i get the stack here. Kylie's my quarterback. He like chase edmunds. Value is found in the passing game. And so i like that combination. Here with with stalwarts. Like mccaffrey kettle in jefferson. I know i can find value wide receiver later. So i'm i was trying that. On for size here. In the fourth and fifth. I do like chase more than mile sanders in the sense that they're both passing guys primarily. Or that's where they excelled the most on the field. And you want the better offense you know and maybe maybe to a takes that step forward in the dolphins are great but we know that the cardinals offense the patients families gasping her mile sanders gaskin think said and you said sanders is confused. I was because i was going to bring up the point of mile sanders already struggling with drops yet again camp. You are pro. You probably have alerts on your phone for any negative news about mile sanders. Like i don't have lert. It's just it's popping up so much everywhere can't stop it. Have you seen the billboard. I bought it mark. Andrews went next. Gaskin hunt and cooper so mike you were. You hoping cooper we'll get back to you there Yeah mark. Cooper was in play. Miles gaskin was going to be in play for me there in the in the middle of the fifth round. I know i only have one wide receiver but taking that shot. If miles gaskin receives the volume that he got last year. That'd be that's stealing a running back in the fifth round but the the decisions easy for me because the the other wide receiver. I was looking at tyler. Lockett did fall to me. I have him as a top fifteen wide receiver so the combo of digi more and lock it in my projections to top. Fifteen guys. with waller gibson zeke. Very happy with this. Start kind of worked out for you. Yeah waiting unlock at their pits. Goes next then. Dak and hopkinson feeling cup. And mr moore back on the clock. Long running back I so i i am. I'm certainly at this point in the draft. I am looking at what running backs sort available to see if they are of the tier worthy of the same options at wide receiver. And i don't think they are so right now if i'm looking at running back. There's mike davis devante williams where he moster all guys with gigantic question marks of are they the right because they very well might not be the guy whereas at wide receiver deontay johnson is going to get near a hundred and fifty targets. Brandon has been balling out in camp. Is that second year wide. Receiver breakout potential guy There are wide receivers. That i just think are a higher caliber and while my team might say but but jason you need running back all your team so my team is just of the people you know. The public opinion I don't believe that my team is better served by grabbing a worse running back then a better wide receiver. This is one of those situations where i might enter the year. Little weak at running back But i'm gonna be scouring the waiver wire i'm going to be looking for the breakouts. Those happen every single year. You'll be fine. I'm gonna be solid with travis kelsey and a great group of wide receivers. So i'm going to go back back. Wide receivers here. I i'm gonna take brandon euch. Who is my we've talked about it. He's my number two behind. Cd lamb second year wide. Receiver breakout both of 'em cd lamb. Brennan and a guy that. I haven't drafted anywhere this year. But i do think he is a solid as safe as it comes especially. Npr formats. deontay johnson Will be on my roster. So now i've got allen robinson cd lamb brennan. Euch deontay johnson. I think my wide receiver core is safe with extreme explosive potential. If some of those young guys and now you will not be able to play them. All week. i will be able to play the match ups. I will be able to play the breakout potential. But you're right i am. I am always fine building my bench before forcing starting positions in. Because you will need that depth and i would rather have a great player. My bench than a bad starter. All right fifth round after your pick. jim.

Miles gaskin deontay johnson james connor kenyan drake Edmunds dj moore Robert woods travis Mccaffrey kettle amari cooper Cardinal cardinal Cuyler murray sanders jason chase edmunds mccaffrey kettle sanders gaskin mile sanders Lamar Gaskin hunt jefferson
