US says 20,000 Russians killed in Ukraine war since December
"The White House says he now estimates Russian casualties in Ukraine have sharply gone up the past several months. Since December. We estimate that Russia has suffered more than a 100,000 casualties, including over 20,000 killed in action. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby says it's stunning. It's three times the number of killed in action that the United States faced on the Guadalcanal campaign in World War II. And that was over the course of 5 months as well. In November, The Pentagon estimated Russia had suffered well over 100,000 killed or wounded in the wars first 8 months. Kirby will not publicly give an estimate for Ukrainian casualties. 'Awesome' solar eclipse wows viewers in Australia, Indonesia
"Under a cloudless sky about 20,000 spectators watched a rare sailor eclipse plunge part of Australia's northwest coast into brief midday darkness, thousands gathered in the remote tourist town of exmouth, which was touted as one of the best places to see the eclipse, camping in tents and trailers on a red dusty plain on the edge of the town, the crowds couldn't contain their wonder as they experienced the moments. NASA astronomer Henry throop was among those at ex Smith cheering loudly in the darkness. It's only a minute long, but it really felt like a long time because it was like you could see it and it was just beautiful and there's nothing else you can see which looks like that. It was just, it was just awesome. The eclipse also crossed remote parts of Indonesia and East Timor, such celestial events happen about once every decade, the last one was in 2013, and the next one isn't until 2031. "So September 20 shortly after we spoke, I ratcheted up my allocation pretty meaningfully actually. When it broke over 20,000 November of 2020, if you remember it was Thanksgiving weekend here. And I looked at my wife and I said, it went through 20,000 with such authority, having been in markets a long time. I just said, that's meaningful. So I ratchet it up my allocation. I bet it peak, I was probably in 2021. I don't know, I was probably 40% at one point. Of my liquid net worth between what I bought in four Q 20 and one Q 21, early one Q 21. And then what it ran to, that summer, June of 21, I actually sold most of it. To be blunt, I paid off my house. I just figured, you know what? Worst case. Love it. I'm gonna get that free on this. And again, haven't been around markets. The pace at which it grow and you were seeing the fed start to talk about talk about tightening. So it was just like, okay, you know what? Worst case, I'm out of debt. So I did that still owned by 5% of my liquid net worth. Began adding back in at the end of 21, too early, of course. But it is what it is. And then have actually, again, having been around markets long enough, people always say, you know, you want to, what is the famous Rothschild? You want to buy when there's blood in the streets, even if it's yours. Having been around markets and watching what happened with the exchanges last year in the fall, that to me was sort of like a classic, okay. This is a liquidation. And yes, some of the blood is mine. And so I actually reentered it back up pretty meaningfully. And you really sub 20 again. So we're back to full circle. Here we go. Full circle, but with no mortgage now. That's exactly it. And yeah, my guess is now I'll probably have a little bit more discipline or more holding power because I won't have that temptation. I'm like, hey, well, I could just get completely out of debt because I'm largely completely added that already.

All Quiet on the Western Front: A Movie You'll Love and Hate
"Good morning, sunny. Thank you, how's it going? Good, I need to ask you about all quiet on the western front. Which I got from Netflix this week. And it's awfully good and I can't finish it. Instead I've been reading about World War I, you know, a 140,000 French man dead in four days in the first battle of the war, three years later, 20,000 Brits die in one day. They're antietam in their entire history. It's just so grim. What did you make of all quiet on the western front? All quiet on the western front is one of those movies that's very frustrating to me because it's very clearly a well made picture. I admire a lot of it. The shots were very, very well constructed. The editing was very well done. The acting is all very good. And yet I still didn't really like it very much. It really, it just insists upon itself in the sense that, you know, it's a movie about it's a movie with a very specific point. War is bad. And it wars pointless and wars meaningless and it really drives that home over and over and over again to the extent that I really think the most effective part of the film is the opening, I don't know, the first ten or 12 minutes or so, which is I agree. Like a little short story in and of itself, right? The naivete of youth concerning war. Right. So in the opening 12 minutes, there's the sequence in which a young man is basically convinced to go off to war and he goes against the wishes of the parents and he's only 17 and he dies pointlessly and tragically and the next batch of recruits gets his jacket. It's a really well done sequence, but that gets to the whole point of the movie and the rest of the movie is just that ten minutes over and over again.

Let me look, let's be honest, no one was particularly savvy about this. I mean, I was completely deluded or thought, well, there's some truth to it. It wasn't until the advent of Trump that this blew up and that we basically flush the birds from the bushes and we kind of saw, oh, we didn't know what we had. Now we see it, and it's now it's open warfare effectively. Yeah, it is open warfare. And it's open. It's open ideological warfare. And you know, I call it, I call it 5th generation warfare. It's a war of narratives. You know, it's a combination of hybrid, unrestricted, irregular, if you want to use those types of words for people that want to go look those up and I've written a book about that. You know, the citizens guide to 5th generation warfare. And that's kind of what we're at right here at home. So that's the 5th generation warfare component of it because it's a mix of this war of narratives that is a, that is a complete shift. Col. Douglas MacGregor Describes Differing Views of War
"You just go a little deeper on that on how Russia views war versus how the west views this war of use war? They have a different philosophy. They're willing to sacrifice greater numbers. They are willing to engage in a war of attrition. This is a concept that a lot of westerners, it's foreign to us. Well, I think that's misleading Charlie to be Frank. I think they've been very economical with Russian lives. All of the commanders have tried to maximize the use of standoff firepower. Missiles, rockets, artillery, to do as much damage as possible. And they've been very successful. 75% of Ukrainian casualties have been caused by those systems. So they have had great success in restricting the exposure of their troops to close combat. Now that won't be possible in the future once the breakout occurs, it'll be more difficult. But the Russians have never taken the heavy casualties at the west insist they've sustained. The west is running around with some crazy number of 200,000 casualties, pure nonsense. I'd be surprised if they had 50,000 to 60,000 casualties. And more than 20,000 dead it's the Ukrainians that have suffered terribly. So I think on the one hand, yes, attrition is part of this, but nutrition is focused on the Ukrainians. And the maneuver will follow the attrition. Once it becomes clear that the Ukrainians are completely broken and they're pretty close to it right now. And they fall apart, then the maneuver will commence.

And reports that there was another balloon going over South America, and this appeared to be something that was fairly easy to trace these. This is a balloon from China, and I was a little puzzled at the beginning. Why did they shoot it down as opposed to somehow grounding it so that they can study it? Maybe they shot it down and it's still in a position to study it. I don't know, but then we had reports of a second object, and a third object, the fourth object, the most recent, an F-16, I'm not reading from a news report Wall Street Journal, and F-16 shot down an object over Lake Huron. The object was octagon shaped and was at an altitude of 20,000 feet, posing a threat to civilian air traffic. So there's an obviously an immediate danger, which is that although the sky is very big, there are a lot of airplanes in the sky. If air traffic control doesn't know about these objects, then you could have an airline fly directly into it, that would obviously not be good. Interestingly, having shot these objects down. And by the way, over the last 8 or 9 days, the United States military is shot down at least four objects, at least four, meaning possibly more. Over North America.

The Breakdown
Here Comes Britcoin...
"Let's turn to our main topic Bret coin. The UK treasury and the Bank of England are expanding the discussion of a retail CBDC, inviting public comment on a consultation paper released on Tuesday. Ahead of the release, the treasury and the Bank of England released a joint statement saying that, quote, on the basis of our work to date, the Bank of England and HM treasury judge that it is likely a digital pound will be needed in the future. It's too early to commit to build the infrastructure for one, but we are convinced that further preparatory work is justified. The consultation is designed to inform the decision around whether or not to build the infrastructure for a digital pound. With a pilot test not anticipated before 2025. While many of the design features are up for debate, UK authorities are certain of one thing that they don't want the digital pound referred to exactly as I'm referring to it here as Bitcoin. Bank of England deputy governor John cunliffe set at a speech launching the consultation, quote, the digital pound can be confusing in people's minds with crypto assets, such as Bitcoin. I should take this opportunity to correct this misapprehension. Indeed, nothing could be further from the truth. Now, the paper goes into the many risks of launching a retail CBDC ranging from privacy risks to the risk of bank runs, crippling the financial system, should the CBDC outcompete commercial bank deposits. Overall, the consultation is one of the more complete and open attempts to publicly talk through the pros and cons of a retail CBDC we've seen from a government to date. One note from the proposal that has captured many headlines is a proposal that would cap citizen CBDC holdings somewhere in the 10,000 to 20,000 pound range to quote strike an appropriate balance between managing risks and supporting wide usability of the digital pound. This limit would allow a majority of UK wage earners to take their salary in the CBDC, but would still create competition with commercial banks. The digital pound would also offer no interest allowing banks to easily offer competitive terms on deposit accounts. Now one of the concerns articulated is that a CBDC could accidentally destabilize the commercial banking system. Currently banks use deposits as a cheap form of funding for loans. Without that flow of deposits, banks could increasingly find themselves reliant on more expensive wholesale markets, driving up borrowing costs for users.

So one thing we need to do is we can short circuit the approval process for these experimental vaccines. We have to go through the full observational studies. It takes time to understand whether or not there's there's real significant injury occurring Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson on Fox and friends. The CDC admits that some adverse effects of the three approved vaccines have been reported, but that overall they are safe and effective. Meanwhile, there's been an uptick of covid cases. In Florida. There were more than 20,000 new cases. While positive tests nearly doubled to almost 8% 172 people in Florida died from Covid last week. Foxes Ashley Strohmeyer America is listening to Fox News. Welcome to the flat line with your host Rick Hughes. For the next 30 minutes, you'll be inspired, Motivated, educated but never manipulated. Know your host Rick Hughes. Mm. Good morning and welcome to the flood line. I'm your host Rick Hughes. And I'd like to invite you to stick around for a little bit. 30 minutes of motivation, some inspiration, a whole lot of education and absolutely No manipulation. That's right. We're not going to sell you anything. We're not going to hustle money. We're not going to ask for money. Not going to solicit membership. We're just going to teach a small Bible study. If you're interested in learning the word of God and willing to orient, adjust to that, and you're in the right place. No games. No gimmicks. This information, not speculation, not human speculation, but divine revelation from the Bible. So I hope you'll stick around. That's what I want to talk to you about today is very critical, and it's going on in our country a whole lot. As we face uncertainty and turmoil across America, there's a lot of depression. There's a lot of loneliness I meet with teenagers all the time as I Travel and speak in private schools across the country. I find a lot of kids are very lonely. Lot of kids are very depressed as I run into a lot of parents that have had situations that are depressed. Depression and loneliness is an epidemic proportion in America today, and I'd like to talk about that. Maybe you yourself are experiencing some sort of depression or some sort of loneliness. And one of the things that's so wonderful about having a flat line in your soul is you don't have to live like that. Because the outside sources of adversity can be conquered. By the inside source of the filling of the Holy Spirit. And having a main line of resistance in your so so, yes, You have adversity, but stress. You do that one to yourself. You don't have to live like that. There's some divine promises in the Bible that you can rest in, and you can cont claim and And take a rest. And when you're feeling lonely or depressed, I'd like to read some of them to you if you let me and we'll make some comments on them. Here's one Psalm 34 18. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted. That people that have internal sadness people that are devastated or crushed. David wrote this after he had visited a town called Knob. And then gone before the priest and not named Ben Melech. And the priests, uh, was willing to help him. David concocted the story that he was on a special mission for King Saul. When actually saw were trying to kill him. And he said he needed some food and a weapon and he lied to the priest in the course of Menelik helped him To planning with food and weapons system, whatever he needed. When Saul found out what had happened. He came up there and killed all 45 priest with whom David lied to wasn't their fault. They didn't do anything wrong. They were all murdered by saw. This was a cause of great regret and great remorse and David First Samuel 21 1 through 10 is the story. First Samuel 20 to 22 is David regret. So listen again to what the Bible says The Lord is near to the brokenhearted that cells that are internally devastated, sad, crushed. And he saves those who are crushed in spirit, the Bible says. The afflictions of the righteous are many Maybe you but the Lord rescues him from all of them. That's a divine protection provisions for you. As well as peace of mind and confidence in the care of God for you. He heals the brokenhearted. That's what the verse says. That means those that are dejected and defeated due to circumstances beyond their control. And he binds up their wounds. Psalm 1 47 Verse three, He heals the brokenhearted those that are dejected and defeated due to circumstances beyond their control. And binds up their wounds are comforts and cares to deliver them from destruction. How does God do all of this? Actually, we find in the Scriptures divine provisions. And by faith we trust and relax. Let the Lord handle it. But the key is this word right here. And this comes out of Jeremiah. Your words were found and I ate them. Your words were found and I ate them. That means that the word of God has been metabolized. Word of God has been eating the word was God has been swallowed and applied. Most folks don't have an appetite for the word of God. I'm going to say that again. Most folks I don't know about you. They do not have an appetite for an intense study of the word of God, They prefer a little bit of emotion. They prefer a little bit of sing along, but an intense study of the Bible. They don't have an appetite for that. And this is what the writer proverb said. Listen to this. This is proverbs to one through 11 the salon passage, but I want you to hear it. My son. If you accept my word, that's if condition And if you tune your ear to wisdom, turn your ear to wisdom and apply your heart to understanding. This is the solution to loneliness and the solution to depression. Turn your ear to wisdom and apply your heart to understanding..
