"Had obviously saw me very closely as who I was at that time, to who I am now, you know, just was like, hey man, I realize I'm a way better driver than I was. Well, I mean, that was more than ten years ago. And next year, so you went from that opportunity to 2013, you ran full-time with KBM. Yeah. That was your last full time. Yeah, 'cause 2014 I was supposed to be full-time at swan. But it folded after 9 races and then the started since then, you've just been weird in the wilderness. In the wilderness. Yeah, no, literally the edge of obscurity at all times. And definitely not. You become a national media personality, you become one of the best analysts pit reporters in racing in my humble opinion. You become a truck series winner. Spreading things out too, you know, I feel like normally people do their first full season of what time was the nationwide, then they do it the next year. I just decided to take a little night here, right? Well, that's what I wanted to ask you about. You've got the giddiness. You've got these as much a little bit. But this is like a full-time job now. Next year will mark ten years since the last time you did this full time. I mean, how much has changed is so much different and there's so much the same. It's so funny. I'm bopping around mooresville again in a capacity where I feel like, oh wow, I'm gonna be here a lot. That sort of thing. I'm re acclimating friendships down here because I'm gonna get a place down here. And just like letting people know, like, hey, I'll be here. I'll have Tuesday nights or Wednesday night. I'll be doing nothing like, hey, you want to hang out? I don't know. Hey friend, remember we used to sim race every night? You want to sim raise today? I don't have anything better to do. So, but it's funny. I'm trying to approach it where I don't fall into old habits or old ways, for sure. I think that's one thing I've made really, really big part for me. It's like make sure to continue doing the things that have made me that better driver, more successful, being out of this bubble, I think was good for me for those years I have been out of it. But also react meeting within it to with the knowledge of what I've learned from being outside of it. And I think that's a really powerful thing. Continuing a lot of my media endeavors for sure. That's one way I want to work that in. Now understanding my scheduling better, understanding how to do that, understanding the media world, trying to incorporate those things that I don't that we don't fall behind there as well as I try to take on the driving side full-time. And then also mentally, I think there's a huge 90% of this is mental, if not more. And success in racing. And I think for me, it's making sure that I'm continuing a positive progression in the mental side that I've been on for the last couple of years, right? And so whatever I have to do there to make sure that that's happening be very key for me. So I want to take what I knew from back then and what I know not to do, what I now know what to do and what I don't know. And what I don't know is some of the things in the tools and the pieces and the parts that I just haven't got to experience because I haven't been full time, right? And I want to be able to take those in and play catch up with those and learn them quickly. Wow, knowing the things I know that I've done better and putting away all the things I know I don't want to do or don't should pass, I shouldn't go down. What's something you're definitely not going to do that you do? If you can say, live where I lived, me who I was, grow up, basically, is the best way to put it. I laughed so often when I see and I shouldn't, I don't name names. Like Noah Gregson, who I probably would have been very much a similar personality at the time, but I hit it all. I didn't put it all out there like he did. Which probably was my detriment. But I think that's the type where I've grown up from being that person. And so I laugh when I see those things about guys like, I'm like, eh, I wasn't just similar, you know? I just probably hit it all. It was like behind the scenes. So I think I've just been really focused on being who I've become and not falling back to being that kind of person. So it's not like I'm more boring or anything. I feel like I'm actually more fun. I think I'm a cooler person in that sense. But I think I make better decisions now. I know where to put my energy and my time and my focus and I know what does and doesn't equal success and I think that's the part where I just, that's the confidence that I have. And I know all that. I know how to drive the race cars, know how to deal with all the incineration stuff. Scheduling the media at times, how you schedule your life, how you do all that stuff, travel, everything, just deal with it so much better. Relationships, friendships, all those things. It's the unknown part that's really exciting, which is all the tools at my disposal and the idea of having a really supportive owner and sponsors and that sort of thing that want me to be me and to continue doing podcasts and that sort of stuff. So it's a weird I know that was a very deep no, that was good. That was really good. But it feels like, I hate to use in second chance because it seems so lame. But it's like I've been able to press start again with the knowledge of everything you've done before. Which is a very unique, right? Like people might say that all the time about anything in life, whatever it's a business, right? Like, if I started with all I know now, that would be amazing. I'm literally getting the chance to start with all that I know now. Which is a ton. Yeah, it's wild. And some of the coolest things from the announcement

"mooresville" Discussed on How to Live A Fantastic Life
"He would walk out of the hospital anyway. 6 weeks later, he did just that. Jeffrey's journey has led him to embark on a new career as a flight structure and author and a motivational speaker. Greetings, Jeffrey. Greetings, doctor Allen. How are you doing? I am fantastic. But let's go back to this catastrophic event that happened. When did that occur? It began in June of 2012 with a headache that made its way into a migraine headache and the migraine was the worst migraine of my life. So I went to the family doctor and he immediately saw I was in trouble and had me transported to the emergency room of the hospital so they could take care of me. And that's when this catastrophic turn of events came on, you probably were put on an MRI or a cat scan immediately and they looked inside your brain and there was this darn aneurysm that was causing a lot of problems. Yes, actually it was quite interesting how that unfolded fate made it may have intervened there. The emergency room doctor ordered a cat scan, they sent me down for the scan and I was photophobic at the time, couldn't handle light anymore. And when the technician finished her work, she knelt down next to my ear and she said, I was told to only do one cat scan of your head and I decided to do one of your neck also because it just seemed appropriate. And thank God she did because the aneurysm and dissection of my right vertebral artery were at the base of my skull in the neck photo that she took. So thankfully she did that or more than likely I wouldn't be sitting here right now. Wow, that is a bit of fate that we're taught in there. She must have had some twinge, maybe from what the symptoms that you were having. I don't know what caused all that, but I was so thankful that she did it. Like I say, it just seemed like a leap of faith or something with fate that she chose to do that. And I was very thankful that she did. I suppose you were immediately put into surgery. Now they transported me from mooresville, my hometown, about 25 miles south to the Charlotte medical center. And a neurosurgical team took over and put me in neurosurgical ICU for ten days. One to observe me, but two to see if they could use medication to reduce the size of the aneurysm and not need to go down the road of surgery. Wow, was it somewhat successful? Now, at the end of the ten days, the lead surgeon came in to tell me that the medication was not working. And my only other choice was surgery to correct, but I needed to know going in that I had less than 25% chance of surviving the surgery. And I told him, well, you know, 25% is better than nothing. So let's do what we need to do. So we can see if I can survive this. When I woke up after the surgery, hours later on a Monday morning, I very quickly realized I was paralyzed. I couldn't feel anything from my neck down. And the panic and everything else that came with that began and the doctor came in some time later to say the surgery was successful, but I was paralyzed and more than likely I was never going to walk again for the rest of my life. To get the success from the surgery that you're going to live, but now you're not going to be what you thought you'd be. I mean, you were a vibrant person. You were living a great life. You were going and doing what you dreamed to do. And hear all of a sudden it changed. Yes, it's an amazing thing when you're independence has been taken away and you've led a healthy life up to this point as I did and now I'm faced with this. But beyond the panic of what was and shock of what was happening at that moment, the first thing on my mind was, hey, you can still use everything from your neck up. You can see you can breathe, you can talk, you can think. So now it's time to start figuring your way out of this. And the first dilemma that I came across was there's no instruction book for this. So what do I do first, second or third? And how do I start finding my way out of this? And I needed to start figuring out how I was going to build this mouse trap of mine to figure my way forward, but the other thing that I told the doctor when he spoke to me was I wasn't down and out and I would walk out of this hospital. And 6 weeks later, though it was ugly, I was still able to put one foot in front of the other, couldn't feel either of those feet or legs, but I was able to use a walker to make it out to the car. Wow. That's pretty amazing. You know, this is the difficulty. I think I'd like her listeners to realize, you know, there's a time in your life that all of a sudden something can happen that changes the course a 180°. It life is uncertain. And the only thing that is certain is the uncertainty of it, that life can change in a minute and literally change where it is. And that's where you have to draw down on these deep, deep powers that are inside of you to really turn it around and become something that draw in those so you can get to where you want to be. Absolutely. Yes, when I committed to what I was going to do, I told myself over and over, do this because you want to do it. Don't do it because you have to do it. You know? I think those are the key messages. One of the themes of my book, the secrets to living a fantastic life. It's not what happens to you. It's what you do with what happens. And I think that's what people have to reel that it doesn't really matter what goes on in your life. It's who you address it. It's how you make things moving forward. That's how you literally take a blueprint and make it new again for you so that you can do as you want to do, not as you have to do. I couldn't agree more with everything you just said there. You have to figure out at.

"For me, it was like okay, I can go back to home to stay with my family all the time and take for the decision was taking. But they're helping around was not disturbing me at all. You know, it was more like, okay, always I saw it as a new opportunity to do something different again. And just how different was it at Red Bull compared to Jaguar? Because it sounds from the outside at least that you've got one that was very corporate and didn't work. And then you had one that came in completely changing the landscape and disrupting Formula One with their approach of having a lot of fun, like the image that the team wanted to have and was at the same behind the scenes working or is that not possible when you're trying to be successful on track? No, it can not be like you see it from a site. You still need to work hard. It wasn't all fun. You know, it wasn't all fun. It was hard work, as well. But I was a way to yes, and when I came back, actually, a structure, not a lot of change, how we left at Nicki and myself. It was very weird. You know, it was like they have two years come by. There was not a lot of progress made, you know? I was quite surprised about that one. How little was actually changed for people in place. And the Copa coach obviously was another one and Red Bull was mister Matthews was adamant to invest and to go forward, not just sit back and see look at the old days. And did that help though in you being able to kind of continue, like you said, you were Nicki needed maybe one or two more years. Did it feel like you were continuing from almost where you'd left off when you left the team? It's very difficult to say because it's also very strange when you get back to a company after the TF been away two years with completely different ownership. It was like something I never experienced you know because you don't go into a new place, but it's not completely new. It's somehow just different, but some of the things that this was yesterday and now there's a completely different future. So I would say almost a little bit confusing at times. So we're looking in this podcast for a big break moment and you obviously got a lot of experience in that Red Bull time. I mean, big budget, a lot of people to work with. Was it the biggest company you'd have team that you'd have looked after at that point? Absolutely absolutely. You know, because at the time, it was already quite a big team as geographic, not one of the biggest one in Formula One, but then the Red Bull came in and it was going very quick. But then the flip side was you were then I'd say center. I don't know if it was a choice, but you went to America to set up the NASCAR Cup Series team, which I imagine was a a lot smaller, even if it's still big money. But be very different. How did that come about? Because that's like you say, you're happy in the UK. You hopped around things in Europe and then suddenly you're off to America. I would say a dreadful because there was so much change going on, I think there was for me, it was like, I don't know if this is my future or not, and then my relationship with mister Matheson was pretty good, you know. And then at some stage, he asked me if I got an interest to move to the states to look after the NASCAR team, which we will open. And I was like, I don't know what she said. I was pretty happy, but then when I was younger, I would say everybody had not a dream. You know, I would like to go to the U.S. and obviously it's very difficult for you paying to go to the S, especially with driving a good job there, you know? So you would need to start from the bottom again. So I was like, well, yes, with interest me and I didn't know anything about NASCAR or not anything. I knew a few who they learned, of course. A few names, but I didn't know anything technically or how the CFS works. So I was like, I don't know if NASCAR is still writing and died, no idea where Charlotte was to be honest when we first spoke about. So it was one of the things so I said the challenge of the U.S. with the nice, you know, so I went to speak with my wife and we spoke about, and we said, hey, let's do it. We are still young enough to do this, you know? If you like it, we stay there a few years and if not, we come back, there's always something to do. And off we went. From an F one perspective, did it feel like you were leaving the sport though at that point to go to America? Because the links weren't so tight, were they at that stage between the U.S. and F one? I never felt that I'm leaving anything. I just changed. You know, because even if you change job, I didn't think this is gone now. I still had my friends in F one. I went to a few races after even after I moved to the friendship with Nikki was pretty pretty big. You know, so we always wearing contact. So I never, even in Raleigh, I still have friends who are you know I'm still involved, obviously I don't know a lot of people in DTM anymore, but that has changed so much as a race series that there's not many of the old people around anymore anyway. So no, I didn't feel like I'm leaving something. I was up to, hey, what are you going to do next? Let's enjoy this experience. Well, I'd suggest as well from the outside looking at the way your career went that that was a big turning point for you because you still live in America. You've obviously run an American team as we call it in Formula One. And you had two good years with the Red Bull team. And then when you left, you stayed in mooresville in North Carolina. So what was so attractive about staying in that region? So I guess at that point, you may be at that stage didn't have anything else keeping you there at that point. You could have gone anywhere again. Yeah. It was with the NASCAR team about two years. And then when that was all I was like, what do they do next? I had job offers to come back to Europe quite nice ones. And I was like, I don't really, I'm not finished with America yet. You know, there was only there two years. And I liked the country. I liked my personal life. My wife liked it, you know, so I said, well, that is good I do. I had another dream, you know, always when I was younger. To have my own business and I never had the time because I always had good jobs and then you don't want to stop working a good job to do something take a risk to doing your own business..

It does not disappoint a few of the favorite answers. House plants quote chicks with plants are just very hot me in quote. Oh yeah guy didn't explain any more than that. I don't think he is. He's this what i've heard before though this lady said when guys are reversing the car and they put one hand on the back of the passenger seat to look backwards. I've seen that before. Yeah because while the times we've done these things that's one of them. That always comes up women women like just like i always say the seat belt or purse strap between the bosom that does it for me alexis and tj's always found that attractive. It's like one for you and one for me guy. One guy said armpits like when a girl lifts her arms above her head. I love that. I have no idea why being able to make a good excel spreadsheet. Anything reagan's that you find. Oddly sexy violence i. it's not you know. I like getting a women's so aggravated with me that they can only resort to violence. And that's what i'm going to see a therapist about. Why do i get so much enjoyment of that pushing them to where they feel like the only solution is physical violence. It's terrible it's not a good thing but that's what this is about like we make in the stairwell to beat me out but she push yourself and the wall. "With riggins on the tj. Show the top trending topic this morning alec baldwin. This story is terrible crazy. He's on the set of a movie. He's producing called rust yesterday in new mexico and he the reports are saying that he had a prop gun which in doing some research. There really isn't such a thing that fires called a prop gun. That's like something you just have on your hip. That's not a real gun. These are real guns. They didn't have blanks in them But he discharged the gun. During a rehearsal for a scene and killed a woman named elena hutchins who was working on set also injured the director. He was they were both airlifted to the hospital. He is survived. He has survived She unfortunately passed away. It's just a crazy story but the blanks in the gun. Usually that injury comes from close point blank firing of a of a blank because it still has gunpowder and it causes an explosion and all of that there was an actor when we were kids That was on a show called cagney and lacey and then he had just gotten a big movie roles his first movie role and he was onset. One day playing around. They handed him a gun. And he said oh it's got blanks. And he put it up to his head and pulled the trigger and it killed him so blanks can't kill people. I've seen one story said the gun actually had live rounds in it. The other other has have said that it's blanks but there are pictures of alec baldwin on the set after talking to the police. And i mean i don't even know he looked so distraught. I'm gonna obviously you can. You can only imagine you accidentally killed someone through through no fault of his own. Yeah you know there's a special effects person enhance him a gun that he's it a thousand times on the sets of movies fired these types of guns and it just just some kind of a weird freak accident thing. Probably get the director cinematographer. Yeah that's what. I factor would be more understated fired in malfunction or whatever and killed another actor when he was trying to shoot at in the in the film. I know they're gonna know more today. But i wondered if there was just one of those scenes where he was. They were maybe shooting just him in a close up and he was just firing off about and do he fired twice. When it went off it happened to hit. The two of them and people are also talking about brandon. Lee something similar very same thing. Grow so very unfortunate. Yeah that's kind of happened late yesterday into this morning and police have determined that those remains found in florida. Are those of brian laundry. So he is dead. They found bones and decomposing skull. I think is they say. It's better animal activity as well. So that may have impacted what happened to the body and the remains. There is a backpack. they haven't said anything. Everybody's hopeful that there's some type of note in the backpack that tells more gives details about why everything happened with gabby petito but as of now just appears as if his he found his remains in case closed now. They've got some questions for the parents. Some questions for the parents because the dad is the one that led them to the area where they found those remains and they wanna know. "This is the final land weekly on the final once again with us. Is todd gillan. Welcome back to the program yet. Thank you for having me on. It's it's been a good season for us and We can't wait to get in these playoffs. Yeah absolutely so. Let's get into that. You're heading into the playoffs Rate your season. So far. I think You know really away from getting a couple more winds which we love sedan and A really a lot more wins but other than that. I think just getting the consistency. That i've been really driving to get You know for the last three years in the truck series. I think you know just being able to go to the racetrack. Each and every week and being a top five contender. is an definitely an accomplishment and You know i'd say when i attended it's been going probably seven or eight so far but you know there's always the greedy side of you that Just wants a little bit more. Yeah absolutely i mean you're right there in the mix your fourth in the playoff standings so i mean That's that's that's pretty good yup and it's You know it's fun to have all the right pieces. I think to have a great team that That really believed in me. And you know everyone's great decisions we have got a great pit crew great Great spotter so. I think we've got pretty much all the pieces that we need to make the playoff run here totally so so far you've got one win on the season seven top fives eleven top tens and you got three stage wins. How important were those points to get you into the top five yet. think You know early in the season it. It's hard to really tell you know what they do. But it's crazy how come the end of the season. It's really only a few points here. And there that really decide everything so Hopefully the the playoff points carry good into the playoffs and then Just a normal points of have done their job. Getting up to fourth in the standings like you said that also gives us a playoff point Buffer you know. I think it's like the play The the stage wins You know ten to one on the on the point so it's definitely all going to a plan to it so i wish we had a few more points but i definitely in a better situation than last year. We barely made the playoffs. And then we were Neil right back on the outside looking in when you got your win this year Was there a sense of relief. I mean you of course. Winning is huge but in the back of your mind. It's like all right. we're in the playoffs. Now we can go You know dig for the rest of the season absolutely and that was something i was really excited for was just to be able to go out there and race really aggressively and Do what we we knew we can do. But i think really kind of did the opposite not the opposite. We still ran really well but Almost as let everyone settle in and get a lot more confident in themselves and what we're doing bringing trucks at the racetrack and I think that's where you really see the consistency coming for us. And then from there. I think everyone like i said it's really believed in in what we're doing. Everyone pulled the rope in the same direction. And it's crazy It's really cool to see what all of us can achieve together absolutely all right. Truck series playoffs round of ten begins this weekend. gateway Is is first on the schedule. What are your thoughts on that track. I really liked gateway It's been really good track for me. In the past. I've been a second there twice and then We won both stages there last year in the truck. Race so I'm excited. It's the first round. I definitely think Or the first race of the first round. I think we can start off really strong and Knowing the back of our head were. We're all going for a win here this weekend and then after that you got the darlington which everybody says you got race the track before you race. Everybody else is that. How true is that. That is very true I haven't really got myself in too much trouble at darlington yet but no you're sliding around it's crazy you're going really really fast and wanted to and then by the time you get down to three and four. You're going way too fast for the tires. In the grip of the race checks so It's it's a lot of fun this year. I had a great truck there in the the first race. There and Knowing the trucks have a little bit less power and a lot more dragging down for us so we were barely out of the gas and one in tunis. Crazy like almost surreal for me. You know grow watching the guys go straight up in one and two and just go straight. Pass darlington's right there on the wall. It's it's really cool and know that was one of the coolest experiences is here. I'm sure and then after that it's bristle. I mean they're not really throwing too many super speedways None actually I guess darlington kinda but by bristol. Short-track for sure and I mean so out of those three. What's what's your best hope. I think we can definitely Contended all at all three. I think to be a championship contender. You're going to have to but i'm really looking forward. Arlington urge to gateway i think first and then Yeah no bristol. We didn't run great at last year. So i'm really looking forward to the progress we've made so in terms of other drivers who who's your biggest competition for this championship. Oh i think all of us wanted is probably john hunter He's been good at you know just about every single racetrack. We've gone too but No other than that. I feel like we've been really on power second or third. Best chuck In the truck series for the last you know two or three months so I'm definitely looking forward to going like more head to head With john hunter some of these race sharks coming up and Let's definitely one that I'm excited to hopefully go out and get get better from. I'll be talking to him soon. you want me to relay a message or anything. No no. it's it thought it. I'm sure he's in a good place to all right so D- lean on your dad for any help in terms of strategy or mindset or anything like that heading into a playoff situation. I think I i definitely on him for a lot of stuff but no really. I think the playoff experience i. I'm very thankful that we made it last year and have a little bit more experience going into these playoffs. I feel like i. i'm definitely looking at it. Local little bit differently but as far race strategy and stuff like that he's always on par box really close with my crew chief and So those guys they they always bounce each other bounce ideas off of each other and I definitely think he helps my crew. Chief Come out with a better outcome sometimes. So he's definitely huge huge part of our race teams. A lot of other drivers have like a circle of friends. Other drivers that they get help from Do you have something like that. Sport a support system. I'd say i definitely am friends with a lot of the truck series drivers but I feel like we normally when we hang out it's not Not as much talking about racing. Just kind of Trying to be friends off. The racetrack is yeah. Yeah we're all pretty fierce competitors and you definitely a gotta go out there and compete. Is that something. That's either unique or different about nascar because your friends off the track and then you you go at it out of the race track. Is that unique to this particular sport. Yeah i'd say so and it's definitely different because you know to be in racing. I think you know the spot everyone would want to be in is right here in mooresville charlotte area where we all live so And you know really a lot of my friends that that are here you know. They are their family. Lives somewhere else and you know to be successful nascar you. You had to come here to young age and And it's it's funny. It's funny it's kind of just interesting that you know a lot of them live here loan It's.

"Of Trying to be friends off. The racetrack is Yeah yeah we're all pretty fierce competitors in you definitely you gotta go out there and compete. Is that something. That's either unique erred or different about Nascar because your friends off the track and then you go at it out of the race track. Is that unique to this particular sport. Yeah i'd say so and it's definitely different because to be racing. I think you know the spot everyone would want to be in a is right here in mooresville charlotte area where we all live so And you know really a lot of my friends that that are here you know. It's funny it's kind of just interesting live here alone and It's just a different situation. So i think it's kind of fun to and nice that we can all hang out together but yet it's definitely weird before the race Talking to those guys and then go out there and gone one eighty next to him and and trying to beat them. Yeah for sure for sure. You mentioned bristol. Might be one of your Weaker tracks on on the first part of the supply of system d ahead to a simulator and and try to work it out there. Yeah definitely. I think The last year we struggled with a little bit of our simulator work and Now maybe let us down the wrong path a couple of times but this year can really strong You know ford has been working a ton with our team this year. It's been been really good. Have their support so And nowadays really with no practice. That's that's all you have to go off of so it's hard to put all your eggs in that basket but you definitely have to have some in there and You know take what. It's worth every single week so i think that's definitely probably really our only way to get better at this point season. How much more real is that simulator. Compared to say you know what we can play on playstation or whatever It's it's pretty intense stuff. There's like a full chassis and mary. You're sitting in a real racing see Your where. I wear my driving shoes and gloves so It's pretty much a one eighty screen. Where you can't you can see the whole thing in front of you and it's probably like five projectors so it's pretty crazy it's pretty Pretty high tech. But you know these guys. Like i said that's the only tool nowadays so i'm very thankful they They have it all. Yeah absolutely for sure for sure. All right you're heading into the playoffs. Best of luck to todd. Seven four five seven seven ten seven four five seven. Zero eleven ten gives call. We're talking home improvement. Water-saving right now Just in light of some of the things going on in the country but Good good practices in and been so. We'll talk about any questions that you might have relative to that david. Our home depot product of the week ironically is is a waterfall faucet. Actually it's a shower head And it's delta product called let me see into intuition and it's i n the number two. It iowan and you know it's the marketing geniuses at work and it's It's to shower heads. It's like a shower head. That's mounted and then you know how you have. A hand held one. It's integral with the shower head. And then you pull it out and i like it for for a couple reasons. Number one is it's water sense product. And we're gonna talk a minute about some of the challenges of the original. You know water saver products. And and i think it would never happen on this show but there was a show On a radio station in a galaxy far far away where occasionally the hosts would explain how to defeat the water saver system. That's really not even necessary anymore. But but this so you get the kind of. I just wrote down because you know i'm a wannabe marketing guy. It's extravagance without being extravagant. You get that full shower. I like the full on shower. I don't like feeling like. I don't know i need water in the shower so you get it And and you don't have to do anything to mount that extra piece to the law When we needed to do Some stuff from my parents and they needed to have the hand held for the for the nurse and so on we i. Didn't they had a child wall. I didn't go through and redo everything. I just put the two in one end. And now you've got a pull out that you can pull down. And what i like is the price is right. If you've purchased a lawsuit lately you know that. That's you know another second mortgage sort of investment not you hyperbole but but you can get these things from as little as sixty nine sixty four dollars or you can go all the way up to one hundred eighty two bucks depending on finish and stuff like that so so that's it. That's our home depot product of the week delta's intuition to and one shower love it. That's my story. And i'm sticking to it. Cool that it lines up with our conversations about about saving water. Let's talk david. Learn things One of the things it was on here on that little list that i was running down was a glass of water and it said point six to five gallons now. I'm not a math wizard but it that's just a little better than a half a gallon right right. So so a two cohorts is a half a gallon. So it's more than two quarts of water. I don't know about you. But i haven't had a glass held more than a court since college so that why would they say a half a gallon for a glass of water. Well i'm assuming for the day i know per glass. Wow i don't know. I know i had to think about it. How long do you run the water to get cold right. Yeah i guess that's true so and and so you want sixteen ounces of water you're gonna run at least that or maybe double that to get cooler water in the tap. Won't i was getting out of the refrigerator. Do about that date. There's david dove live right. So that's that's just a good best practice right. I like cold water also. I grew up in chicago right. You turn that tap water on summer. Winter fall they were pulling it from the bottom of lake michigan and it was cold. And you know down here not so much So i do. I keep Bottle in the in the In the refrigerator and even at work. I have a little mini fridge. And so if i want cold water out put in there. Keep a cold and swap it out so So that that was just too good Best practice and at begs. The question that you and i have address many many times which is getting hot water to the shower. Oh yeah right so if if if for if four sixteen ounces a big glass normally maybe even eight ounces but let's just say for sixteen ounces of water you're burn through twice that it's it's a lot so member the the shower was five gallons per minute so for takes you if it takes you. Three minutes and three minutes is not a lot of time to get water from the from the heater to the far end of the house for your shower. You're.
