John Solomon's Elevator Pitch About Donald Trump and Russian Collusion

"Will you walk us through the last 5 years for you? And if a Martian landed right now and asked you, what is this about Donald Trump and Russian collusion? Can you give us the Washington elevator pitch of what really happened and how it was spun and your role in uncovering the truth? Sure, we're glad to have such an important story because I think it's the modern siren of what is about to happen in American politics. And that is that we have created the capabilities and our military intelligence agencies that when we need to when we need to destabilize an enemy, we're able to create what is called false reality, which is something that feels real, but isn't really true. But you can create it through social media through psi ops and other operations. We've had this capability. We've used it effectively in various war fronts before. Well, that's what happened in 2016. A group of Hillary Clinton campaign folks, their opposition research arm, fusion GPS, a British spy trained in these very skill sets. A name Christopher Steele. In personally sanctioned by Hillary Clinton. That's very important. Hillary Clinton approved this plan. They set out. Let me just let me just interject here. And we now know this because of the sworn testimony just a few weeks ago, from one of her campaign managers, Robbie mook, who said, yes, Hillary knew and Hillary told us to do it. So this isn't some anonymous source saying it. This is sworn testimony by somebody inside the beast of the campaign. Sorry. Yeah, top of the campaign. And also that she approved it knowing that it might not be true, right? They couldn't validate. That's another important part of Robert. Robbie books testimony. I think it's probably more nefarious. What I've seen is a little bit more nefarious than that, that they probably knew it was. They set out according to an intercept that U.S. intelligence made in the summer of 2016 that by the way was briefed both to president Obama at the time and the FBI who would later investigate Donald Trump. They set out to voice this false story on the American public to hang a shingle or Russian single on Donald Trump's house. To get the attention off of Hillary Clinton's then scandal about her classified emails being under private

Corey Lewandowski: Michael Sussmann Will Get a Slap on the Wrist

"Must be a similar satisfaction that you're feeling right now in Robbie mook testifying Friday that it was actually Hillary who said give this phony story to the news media. Corey, give me your thoughts, give me your take. I know you're following this Michael sussman trial pretty closely. What's the Corey Lewandowski takeaway of what we've learned so far? Michael, here's the problem. Sussman is probably going to be found guilty of lying to the FBI because we have his text messages when he reached out to baker who at the time was the chief legal counsel for the FBI and said I'd like to come and see you and it's not for a client and it's not for a political campaign just as the goodness of my own heart. I want to share this information with you. We have that text message and that's what Durham predicated this whole follow-up on. Now what we're going to find out, though, because justice is not equally distributed, we know that Robbie milk has now said that Hillary Clinton green lit this, but that Robbie never knew it was going to go to the FBI. We were just going to give it to The New York Times. And what sussman told baker we now know was we think you should investigate this because The New York Times is about to run the store. And then baker actually called The New York Times and said, hey, please don't run the story yet because the FBI wants to track it down when the entire time Susan was a source to The New York Times. And so what's going to happen to sussman? My guess is, I get to slap on the wrist. Maybe he loses his law license for a year. Maybe he gets probation, but his life will get destroyed like Michael Flynn. He's not going to end up bankrupt. He's not going to be dragged in front of Congress like Corey Lewandowski was in front of Jerry Nadler.

Hillary Clinton Okay'd Release of the Russia-Trump Collusion Narrative

"I want to turn to this big story that no one in the mainstream media wanted to cover, and that's that Hillary Clinton, according to her campaign manager, Robbie mook actually was the one who pulled the lever and said, yeah, go ahead with the disinformation that Donald Trump was somehow connected to the Russians through alpha bank, which is a major state run Russian bank. I mean, this is really something. I mean, I guess a lot of people that have been around the clintons long enough and politics long enough, they're not surprised by it. But I still think it's a pretty monumental development. In that what we're discovering is the whole thing was a sham. It was a sham that was picked up by the mainstream media and they ran from here to Sunday and back with it over and over and over again to drive home some narrative that really Donald Trump was nothing but a Russian

Kash Patel: Robby Mook's Testimony Just Destroyed Clinton

"I know you were a humble guy but you guys really exposed this thing from the start and it's kind of interesting isn't it to see media people now recognize basic facts in the case that we knew a while ago like Robbie mook the campaign manager just blurting out in court on Friday shocking everyone saying hey the whole pee pee tape collusion oaks Yeah yeah Hillary knew about it I mean so Anthony climactic right I mean I was expecting some big splashy moment and now it all finally comes out No you're totally right And look remember I interrogated Robbie mook four years under oath just like I did with Susan and those transcripts are available for the world to see And even I as a former federal prosecutor you as a former law enforcement agent no witness is usually prepared But when they give you a gem like that and they blurt out something like that that basically is Clinton's number one person is saying that Hillary Clinton has been lying for 5 years and not only did she know about the operation for disinformation but she authorized it and sent her team to go leak it to the media I don't know how much more of a damning statement you can make under oath about Hillary Clinton That is And that's nothing to do with the indictment which is even crazier part to me It's just like he just destroyed Clinton

Dan Bongino: Clinton Wasted America's Time Over Trump-Russia Hoax

"I think Dan is right when he describes this bombshell as the biggest political scandal in history. This is only, in my opinion, the biggest political scandal in modern history. I mean, that's an opinion. Again, you can have a different one. But think about what happened yesterday. There's a couple angles to this too that I'm really stunned some others in the left wing media and I use that word stunned Lucy. Have not picked up on. We had a campaign higher up in the Hillary Clinton campaign, Robbie moved basically admit. That the biggest farce in American history, the PP tape hoax, the collusion hoax, was a fake, was a fake from the start. They knew it was a fake from the start. We spent millions and millions of dollars and tens of thousands of man hours and occupied America's time for four years with a ridiculous nonsense theory and Hillary Clinton could have shut it down the entire time. Robbie mook admits she knew from the start about this thing. She approved it and let it run with anyone.

"Quarter and 55° in Columbia Maryland at two 40 here at WTO Three people were killed and 34 wounded by a Russian missile that struck a building in the Ukrainian town of kharkiv It happened yesterday among those wounded four workers in a kitchen that has teamed up with chef Jose Andres world central kitchen They were in a restaurant that was just across the street from where that missile hit earlier I spoke with CEO of world central kitchen Nate mook who is in khaki Just the sheer immensity of the explosion heavily damaged the restaurant ignited a dozen cars on fire outside parts of buildings were all over the place there were pieces of cars and trees windows were shattered for blocks As you can imagine a huge ballistic missile strike that hit this area and this area is a residential area in office area this is not a military target And that's really the threat here is you just these brave restaurant staff are going to work every single day to prepare meals for people that are hungry and here they are now getting attacked We are of course grateful that nobody from the restaurant staff was killed But we are told that two people were killed in the strike and four of the restaurant staff were wounded and taking to the hospital Talk a bit about how you guys are how this undertaking is going how are you setting things up here Obviously you're in an active war zone trying to get these meals out What does it take to do that You know it really is a huge logistical effort to get meals out and requires amazing teams and brave individuals that really know this community And we're obviously security and safety is number one We never want anybody to be put at risk and we're always working very closely with people that know the circumstances and know the situation But at the same time you just can't control it At any moment something could fall out of the sky and land nearby So you have to limit your time outside You have to be very cognizant of what might be coming in as a barrage of things about to happen and every time you hear a boom you make sure you're in a safe and secure place There are air raid sirens in the city of car cave but to be honest with you we're so close to the Russian border here that pretty much anything can happen in a moment's notice So it's not something necessarily that you have a lot of time to prepare for A number of our kitchens are underground or in fairly secure buildings or buildings without windows And I think thankfully that's why more people were not injured or killed in this strike yesterday that impacted our restaurant So it's a lot of logistics a lot of moving of food It's a lot of getting food from the restaurants packaged up and getting it to all the delivery locations We have warehouses of food that are spread out throughout the city just in case one of them might be indirectly struck by something by a missile or an artillery shell that ends up landing nearby and that's just sort of unfortunately the daily life right now Wow that was Nate mook who is the CEO of world central kitchen He joined me earlier from kharkiv Ukraine He says he's spoken with three of the women who were injured during that missile strike who are working in the restaurant at the time They all say that they're focused on their recovery so they can get back in the kitchen and start serving meals to people who need it It is two 44 WTO P sports.

"Sorry i wanna give it this coming into our disrespect. Nothing ma four. I'm fall back not a four benguet. Fuck y'all i'm forbid gave him felt bad like he is fucking up some shape. All-wheel backed up that game. I don't want to intervene or not. That i'm saying. I mean i guess hard for the battle route fans i think the younger ones in particular maybe to understand. But if you want something to be truly huge you need corporations to dump money into promoting it and you have to then except at some point that the money being made in terms of this profession or this this culture is just gonna go to various corporations at a certain point that you might not love the idea of them being the ones who cake off it but it has to be that way at some point to really make it you know. But there's a whole buckled about rappers. That are gonna make a shitload of money on the way and the most important thing is the main problem. The battle has visibility. It needs to be put into a context where the average fucking fifteen year old kid who likes to watch it on youtube or tune into a pay per view. Whatever he has to be there has to be big names of because it has to be put in front of people's eyes because these kids will fall in love with after eight mile probably a high. Exactly exactly it doesn't get enough pop. Culture looks and that's the main thing that will hold it back until it really is and is not as really not. It's is is us and i put my myself in there by default but it's us as a coach of we. We are so battle rap oriented we are it become battle rappers in life like they. Everything is competition to where it turns into. I'm not gonna let that person get up even if the megan up you know what i'm saying like new i'm not gonna be on i'm not gonna hold on is lay way to get up to another level. Fuck that. I'm not doing that. Even a an appoint we all get their barrel or whatever but they will break the change. Just like you was the person is. It's a big of ego going on and that cloud eagle as the same thing. You'll see happening. Every neighborhood or every hood in america every city you know somebody starts coming up and then all of a sudden somebody wants to kill him and i mean got. It doesn't say these. I take us to the tact is battle for for not for not putting people on a podcast like i say i for saying like like yo you rap you. Y'all fuck with us really you go and try to do other things. Stay and not not bad. I'm like i don't just battle. No of course gonna just battle rap fung know why the way they and is you have to just bat. The just all you not for us gotten. That's how i've got attacked and it worked own degree of battle rappers like almost like crab in a barrel mentality to where you gotta stay over here or because if you go over here we don't trust you and you know a point you've got to learn when a safe fuck yachting. Is anybody get it cleaned up. I'll just does it follow..

"When you say lethal up. I'm i'm not gonna be kind to you. You know what i'm saying. And he knows that right so there could be a chance that that could have sown him going against that potentially would have been the the ultimate flex to them like they could. There was no. There's no more hip hop in that. There's no more you can't say nothing. You could say i did this. I came here. Did this. And then i went over here and did this. Not saying the thing is if he did it a whole bunch other very popular mainstream rappers all of a sudden see it as an option for them to go get a bag and battle a battle rapper and if that then became kind of a trend which actually honestly think it might be after that then he would basically get credit for that whole wave and then that along that also would cement his legacy because it would be like look at. What a trendsetter is that he got. He got ludicrous bathroom. Somebody for three million dollars right. It's a lot. It's a lot of really wanna battle rap secretly. Yeah but because you get to hear them confess their drunk s feelings to you in the club and shit a lot of them really to do a trust me. A lot of them really want to do a lot of big names. Wanna do it. But it's that it's that factor of not knowing if if would would the outcome would be is easy to do it on a song and you know that's the song but that's what will we do with so ill some important. It's important man like on a nascar race where you know you could see somebody lose their life at any minute. You can watch a career guy tonight. You know. we'll figuratively like we don't right. Yeah mean really could die. What i what. I like that one cannabis battle where he just completely loses it. I mean that was pretty close to a seeing somebody lose their life right there. Yeah that was horrible. You know i don't even like seen. That was horrible. That was that was bad. But you know tons of other great examples yet. And i'm talking about people though. No disrespect to cannabis but it is would about as far as career wise right now to my people that are considered like at the top of the food chain To do it right. Wanna do it with others. Top of the food chain so maybe not even want to do it with another battle rapper so to speak you know they wanna probably do it with somebody else. That's at the top of the food chain. Joe biden set this whole process back like ten years. That just like that just showed how bad this can go. If i because i know people that was like man with the fuck. He did like i would. I would never did that. Took him out. That's what they were saying like the that would make me. If i was one of them that would make me want to do it. More like we show like that was the perfect springboard for to show that. I'm not one of them like i really do this. Every way around all around the board so joe. Doing that would be like oh. That's beautiful that you did this. That wouldn't have made me scared. You know you. I'm a warrior you award. But he's do come from battle a lot of them come from battle rap. You know the ones that i know. Wanna do it right. And drake drake. Drake comes from batu rep. He's he's like to. He told me you know they watched it tori tori lanes. He battled wrapped in. You know he. A lot of it was a lot of meat in his battle. Raps if you see him young battle raps. It was like a like is that like. That's that's like mook. It's so weird when you really think about it that it's such a norm in hip hop is almost like a rule that once you get to certain point in your career you just can't battle even though we all know that there's a ridiculous amount of money you could potentially make doing that. Actually now you know especially now. Especially 'cause i yeah here because now like you know the bag for somebody that has grown exponentially exposito words exponentially. That's you what's happening use. Those words hyped on making twenty five k for that iron som- battle. You were saying the cattle absolutely. I was because i was watching that thinking. Twenty five k. Is not really cutting it from these these days. No no no. I don't want anybody to feel. Great bag spectacle bag respectable. But you know it's like when you got child support. Your child support maybe different contingent upon lifestyle. You was used to live. And so that's how the judge awarded to say what the twenty five before it was because people were getting paid five hundred dollars thousand dollars and i saw. I saw that. I when i saw somebody will pay to watch me battle rap or battery was i feel like you can make a dollar. You can make a million dollars. You could make like once you somebody one person pay oh now is just now we hustle and now now is just part of just getting everybody to like this shit You know what i'm saying. Once you get everybody like it they're gonna pay for it and once you know they pay for it then. You're getting rich. It's the same thing but what they to do to us. Was they used to kind of trick us or try to trick us into believe in that. Oh this is just some hobby. This is just some shit like it. So it was taboo soda. That's one reason people like you know me and looks like really sit there on square and demand these kind of bags. is because we we've been through it to where it was no bag at all. It was how much she paid about. Jamil's not paid. What what do you mean. I pay just for love yes. Our our currency was it was respect That was what we got paid in. We got paid in knowing feeling like we were better than you us. Being better than the other person is all we wanted. Men looks talked about that at length. About how it was all about. Just doing it for the love. And then at some point though you realize that you're a fucking idiot if you don't get what you deserve from this talent ears right and we we were. Dvd's will be a soul. We were selling the dvd's we didn't we didn't know that we were the ones actually selling the dvd's and you're thinking about that Yeah we know 'cause everyb- it was a lot of people on dvd's a lot of other accent just wasn't no battles but people used to buy them and just go to the battle. "On the world. Today we've got an absolute legend in rap music in the battle rap game. Murder move is in the building. Yes yes yes ma'am pleasure to be nice man. I'm feeling good. We already had the interview booked and then all of a sudden like yesterday or the day before you got the craziest cosign drake a lot of people. Didn't even know you guys knew each other right and he just got you on fire right now. You got me. Got me on fire millennium. I woke up. He put me on his page. You know without my consent fucked up now but you know being me and drinking. We had a very peculiar relationship. I'm sure they could use a summary around back in the day. So i want to say four years ago. So what's our we knew. We was in new york. We was at a club. Well i was trying to get into club with my people's shit and i was fighting to get my peoples in shitting and then all of a sudden he'll drink out of chill now. I'm in new york city in the here. Comes reagan thirteen negus shit like oh shit move was up like you know what i'm saying. I've tried a whole michael poll. Keep my you know my pride like something like you know like no you coming in like so you know. He wound up. We wound up going in with him and shit but then we started to chop it up. And i didn't know he was as much of a fan of me as you know as as he told me at that point because men have never really had a conversation intact it to two tough so you know when he tells me he like yo watching battle going to school and you know we used to pretend like we was y'all shit like that and as the night went on got a little bit of liquor in his system shit and then you know he was just like oh but you know i kill you and i'm like i'm drinking his liquor though you i'm a blank. Yo listen in his section. Like how i start sniffing. The of should make sure none going on here for would make you say that to me like you know what i'm saying. He liked on the. I q you like you know in a battle and i'm like really and what year are we talking here about. Two thousand in no hell no. This was longer than wow. I'm bugging 'cause i could be a wash. It was two thousand fourteen so this was two thousand fourteen. This was in the beginning. Two thousand thirteen two thousand fourteen is like crazy so this was a different state and drake's career where he's very much solidified as a pop start's huge but he's not like no drake drake but drape he's a little more drag now well at right now. He's but no he was still remember. Zero to one hundred just came out right. He was draped bid. Because it's up to kind of trading vix picks right. That's why you know shout artist a decade that that is just you know. That's like an accomplishment. Were i didn't even this that a new. That's a new thing. I don't know they do every decade. Who had the navy's well who had two thousand and ten to two thousand one. Because i'm just hearing about it. But but yeah so that was zero to hundred drake still had rate was still the main the trump into mayor for awhile. Think the point that i'm saying but doesn't tends by the way gotta be fifty two thousand two thousand two thousand ten because i was thinking wayne but that's more later in the year and i still think. Fifties impact was bigger fifties impact gift. Two thousand two. Yeah because wayne was two thousand sat six year later and it was gigantic. But i still feel like in the game like fifty. I don't believe right. Not the came like fifty nothing. So i'm still trying to see if anything did put. That is a great thing to argue about our way. It's hard to even like kind of argue about it to sort hip hop out because then you only really have like four or five. Gods of the decade bright was was in there should. He wasn't in which i think was in. There was in the two two that was in the middle of the pack. Wayne i think yeah no definitely like it was in there. You've got to put him against fifty. Yeah yeah because they tried to remember. And i remember one. Oh six parking. They did a bed with fifty eight right now is when we kinda realise. Oh raps going on a little different direction than we thought because we were in the new york bubble at that time where it kind of felt like nobody could defeat fifty. Ever right yeah. Did you sell more. Yup day Yeah he did. That was that was like fifties the third album so anyway mooks in the club but alcohol is affecting ham. it's in his bloodstream. Breaks says i would kill you not at. I think we could be even. I think i could. Maybe do know said he was gonna kill. Kill you so fat. was there fab right. dan cut. So that's my this is my we call the people who signed the shit the notoriety of notre republic for this moment. So i'm like yo you show your so. Let's do this. Take a pitcher. Let's take a picture if we could pull up the pitching you put murder and drake see both of us facing off pause traffic. Can we get the google. You'll see facing off pours in our..

"So anyway i think So from a mayhem perspective. Just throw this in there. We've talked about clues and stuff. I loved example. Sean of like driving cars smacking into stuff motorcycles. Just messing up your day messing up your plan like okay. We got a plan. No you got. You don't have access to up your day. Yeah so. I think i like i said the concept of the fighting mook right like oh got that person's got only one hit point. That can still do much. Damage are the upper down. That's okay. I think the real power of them is how you can deploy the one shot. You know throw away. Npc's is perhaps another phrase for them to just drop a clue. Add some adds extra spice to the event in. Oh i think that's fun because our lives are filled when we can actually go in public and mingle with all sorts of random things that happen right random things that happen. You're driving somewhere and somebody of is a flat tire you know. It's a random thing that happens. Didn't expect that to happen. The album denied help them. It's just a random decision needs to be made. You know you didn't do didn't what you're going to do. So i That's where i think the the power of it comes in is more than just the fight. The clues. the mayhem that distraction. The stall you've gotta get through them this helping me keep my bad guy alive in a reasonable way that the player characters rankings. Yeah sure sure yeah. Of course the documentary as she got away or she did. Yeah see back. She pulled out a school at the last second as a A action that she can do that. Suddenly Read scroll layer action once per fight. Yeah fuck you yes. You're one another another thing to keep in mind and in into in never known. I only say this because players gotta make sure they're not worth shit if they're you know. Oh wait a minute x. P. for each one we cut. How many a couple of hundred right. So it's like it's level meat grinder conjunction. Yeah yeah you know they. Will you know there's one person in one group that's going to be like. I am like fifty x p from thing and man. How many bad guys. How many mooks are out there. How much are they worth. They're gonna go load up diablo and go play and then you're going to table now but you're right. I think you're i think you're dead right. These are another way to put it in. Perhaps as overly story gamer of me but they are plot devices.

How many did you just punch one punch unconscious one punch unconscious and then finally one guy shoots him. He's just get shot in the arm weighing these still beats that guy up and throw them out one guy when he gets on the truck. Spoilers with the arkit wounded who's like makes his way up there. There's trouble for him. Otherwise get the flynn ever live in. Hell beat out of many. Just one punches. Like twenty some odd. Nazis is crazy right. And i think that's the other fun piece to do is with most not just with your big bad. Is that dilute tenants. The second-in-command the sergeant that person when the bad when the big bad screams get them. You know lieutenant. Ninja comes up. And they've got fifteen mooks with them right so it's not just for the biggest of the battiste right and that's where i really think i learned this more and more in caucus ula was that occultist were things that happened right. There are pockets of them. Things you had to deal with. You have to go somewhere. Investigate a hanging out of there as temple thing what was going on. You got to work you way to finally figure out where the real person charged with. But there was a head mook right. There was the head cultist in this little temple. Look number one number one man. He he really had it together. He's the guy who had one spell or the tommy gun or whatever it was and i started doing the same thing in my dnd games you know. The streets of avalon. Use a us smokes. Because sometimes you don't not every fight has to be a complete brawl in the fight to the death but sometimes it's you know the bad guys get street kids work and you're walking on the street and then you're mobbed by people or somebody overturns a cart somebody pays off a teamster and teamster knifed his wagon. It needs. It's just a fight. It's just a big problem. You know there's a whole group of people at then show up. They have Your griffin's your city guards or they're they're arguing back and forth or in the way they're just stopping you. what are you doing. get back here. You can't touch him get off him. They could do other things and try to kill you. Necessarily i can just make things more difficult than easier for the bad guy. Is you know you bring up a great point. Brett game masters will always get kind of will always get the side from the players when the big bad gets away. Right right director. Yeah sure he found a trap door of course just happens to be there all great. You know whether right yeah. Yeah so willy. Mooks two guys. Flame throwers hey. In the game feng shui byron loss came. The rules are very unclear on it. Guys like to seven looks clear to me. I don't know What do you mean are you asking how to portray him so this guy says they make great targets for your ps guns and fight and fists. They're able to mow them down with. Ease look hyper competent bad asses. They are will miss basically with every shot but your players may not know that you can use them to spectacularly fail in the attempts to listen to liven up the battlefield. Oh no the mook is driving in a car Try and mo- moa down. He missed fu what that would have hurt oak crap. He's heading right for that. Propane tank that will explode in. Hurt everyone slash knock knock over the shipping container right near bruce that might follow on him etc etc. Have a blast. Shoe is an amazing amount of fund. Drp horseface space has always intrigued me. But never done it for me. And seeing sean found entertainment there besides not being into horror. It's been making me reconsider looking at it and bret has a ton of horror experience to add as well. I've never run a true horror game. Largely because i fail to see how to make it entertaining iran pathfinder's carrying crown. But i don't really consider that in the horror genre. I've read ca through seventh edition and new orleans darkness. Both of which. I liked mechanically. I just can't see how to bring it to the table. I get the whole. Take away their stuff aspect and the explorer in research aspect and do that in my games regularly but it doesn't seem like enough to build an entire game around and my experience as a player in horror has been very dull played in a few very short campaigns and some one shots and never found it entertaining. It may just not be my jam. But i find it equally equally likely that it's never been done right at the tables on that so i'd love to hear your take on how to horror the one and only correct way. Online Learning and the Ed Tech Debate

"So. Much of the discourse attack online education is often posed any stark terms. Much of the discussion seems to be on the education was abject failure in the spring. Now, kids are doomed to lose another year if we don't go back and person so I think what I'd like to post the group is what are some of the most common misconceptions you see in the discourse around online education? Well first of all, we didn't really have online education in the spring, right? That wasn't anything that any of us who've been in online education for a long time would recognize his minded Asian. So I think we I have to completely move away from. Making any conclusions about online education from this emergency pivot to learning to cove it? Right in and out argued that we should also make sure that we aren't just judging the concept of online education by what we see today. There's so much potential for further innovation around the platform around the median that I. Think we just don't see. We already seen other countries around the world. I think one common misconception is more of a conflicting of two things. One is the medium by which education happens is it online or in person or some mix of the two, and in the pedagogical approach lecture base is a discussion based. How much of it is students facing? What is the size of the class? What in taught in what way I think what you see for most of the brief history online education is the classes that are online tend to be a one type that is often quite different than lacey, Burson until people say online education, they often have this idea. Maybe it's superstar lecturing. Broadcast all over the web or it's a for profit college that people perceive as being predatory on some types of students or whatever. But there's nothing that is intrinsic about online. It makes it better worse at its core online is a mode of delivery for education that has tremendous potential to reach people that couldn't be reached with person education models with far better curriculum. Than They could've afforded potentially potentially although I don't think that's a guarantee I think we should get into that I. think there's a question of whether it gives the education can be better and under what conditions is true that you see a lot of education innovators in the online space but a lot of what they're doing could just as easily be done in. Earth. What I would like to hear his more discussion of what should education look like, and then we decide whether it's easiest best to deliver it online versus in person rather than debating about online merson person only later talking about or actually teaching at Howard. I agree that. One of the challenges we have when we talk about all this definitions. People often talk about online education when they're talking about a lot of different things and very different things and I think to that point some people are thinking of this as strictly k. through twelve k. through college and reality. You can also clump in things like masterclass things like lifelong learning things like worker training things like extra curricular classes have been already online while before cove it. So one of the confusion too often here is to conflate online education at scale, which kind of started with nukes and now have moved onto to what? Does what addicts does with what's been going on with online education. Now, for a couple of decades, which it looks very different than that, which is about very small classes. Of active learning lots of engagement between students and faculty a lot of work with instructional designers they happen to be in the same medium. They happened to be education that done with technology, but they're completely different things. Do you mention the precedent of mooks which is massive online courses? So those have been hyped for a decade or so and have had limited success in disrupting education it's pretty commonly agreed. So what has changed? Why do you see this newfound optimism? Now? What specifically are we seeing that we haven't seen in the past? I? Think you judge most historically it's done really targeted for college students and Post College. Graduates. And I think the effectiveness of books varies dramatically based off the age group and the kind of content you're trying to teach

Digital Economy: Digital skills

"Remote working made possible by the Internet is extended the talent pool that companies could draw on. Though as we're here for some that has meant bringing work closer to home at the same time geography still seems to play a role in the market market for digital skills hubs like Silicon Valley and its imitators serve as beacons for digital talent can companies who seek to employ them must contend with eye watering mm salaries and rent on this month episode. We discuss the dynamics of digital skills exploring how digitization itself is shaping their supply and demand. My guests Are John Director of education at UK Innovation Foundation Nester and Chris Johnson CEO and Co founder of talent acquisition platform on cute. I started our conversation by asking. Joycy what nesters research tells us about the digital skills that will be in high demand in future so nestor has done quite a lot of research into what are the skills that are going to be in high demand in the future. We've looked at forty one million job bad birds and looked at. What are the skills that will see see an increase in demand? And what are the skills that are going to see a decrease in demand and we noticed that some of the skills that are the basic digital skills those skills which associated with toss that or jobs that are going to see a decrease in demand are required a requiring lot of digital skills else but there are some jobs like teaching chef which will require which will see an increase in demand are actually seeing a law persons age of digital skills that are required so based on our analysis the top of the most promising digital skills are things like animation multimedia the production design and engineering research and quantitative analysis with some of the more advanced digital skills raw than the basic digital skills that can be automated away. The research shows that just having these technical skills additional skills not enough you need creativity. Collaborative problem solving communication skills alongside the digital skills as well. Chris does this match your experience. At on cubed what do you find are the digital skills skills that are most in demand among US employers yes it does and we tend to focus in particular on some of the skill sets that joycy mentioned and software development and engineering and data science. And then the related sort of sweet of skill sets required to build web driven businesses. That's where most of our work is. Based and two professions or skill sets I think are growing notably fast one is is of course software developers developers which gets a lot of press and attention and even civic attention as cities. Try to figure out how to make more of these jobs. available and accessible and and that is projected elected to grow twenty one percent in the next ten years and these are US Bureau of Labor Statistics numbers but the growth is pretty similar for data science but on the data science side. The Bureau of Labor Statistics is projecting a nineteen percent increase over the next ten years. So pretty fascinating in that if you go back to the ninety s when there was this massive sort of trend towards outsourcing. The thinking was at least in the US economy and certainly elsewhere. Swear that jobs were not going to be available in the US and now twenty one thousand nine going on twenty twenty you have the government itself projecting these really really massive increases in the number of jobs available here in the US so we can't discuss skills without talking about education and training and we've seen seen in the last decade some innovations in training. I'm thinking of online trading resources sort of massively online nine courses open courses and also scoop skills boot camps which often tend to be focused on digital skills. Joycy in your your experience experience. What impact have these new method tab? Which of the most effective and not only on the availability for of skills for employers but also about the accessibility of careers in digital technology? I think it's a really interesting space because there are lots of innovations happening in that space. So you have these mooks. Massive Open online courses like Cor Sarah Dusty index but there are also hold range of other online courses Lincoln Learning And others they have an interesting mortal some are like A university which is online and people can access it anywhere and then there are others. That are much more like a trade school. But the biggest challenge with these online courses is the law retention rate So hundreds thousands of people sign up but not many complete or not many go on to get the certification. So Nesta's doing some research to really looking at what motivates adults to learn. And how can you give them the right information advice and guidance so that can continue on this lifelong learning journey johnny. We're also launching a career tech challenge which is specifically looking at addressing this issue of not enough people using the online tools to upscale and rescheduled is to say that these things haven't had the impact that we're expecting for five years ago I would say it has had an immense impact because lot of people who couldn't have access to high quality education can now access it and without mooks that wouldn't be possible but in terms of really helping people transition position two jobs it still hasn't delivered on that promise and there are some new models you mentioned boot camps that have come up which give three months of training and but they cost ten thousand thousand dollars so it's super expensive and there's Avai small subset of society that can actually access these boot camps. There are some other innovations that are happening which are absolutely free and the only criteria forgetting his motivation and your potential to work hard and one example of that is equal forty two based in in France and now they have Opened in US and the model has been replicated in many other countries like Russia and many countries in Africa. Gotcha Chris so in your work. You connect candidates with employers. Have you seen these new approaches to skill development having an impact so far on for example the supply supply of skilled candidates on. I think all of these models have fallen way short versus the headline promise and certainly the the idea that a lot of investors astor's dumped hundreds of millions or billions of dollars into I think the numbers of people that have either found new career. You learned a new skill set outright through self directed online training is actually quite small and there certainly are success stories but I think we as a as a people might not be ready to learn that way I think on the other hand the bootcamp model which joys Aegis touched on in an laid out some of the different models and structures that we're seeing in the market now I think that has been effective and to her point. The original the original model is quite expensive and therefore prohibited for people. If it's ten thousand ten thousand dollars or or more per person but the model itself has been quite effective and I think what people are seeing out of it is a chance a two in a concentrated time really learn a new skill set that that can get a job and it's it's not perfect but we see plenty of bootcamp grads. Ads End up with very successful career as even at at Mike. Company on cubed our lead software developer came from a boot camp. She was a teacher and worked in education before

Nintendo to Launch Two New Switch Models

"Plans to launch two new versions of. It's switch gaming console as early as this summer as it hopes to sustain momentum for the product going into a crucial third year. Let's get more from our very own Sarah Edelman, she joins us in the podcast duty. Oh, hey, Sarah. Thanks for having me. Of course, soon than ten does. Switch obviously big deal hit for Nintendo. Millions of millions of consoles sold by the two thousand eighteen now it looks like it's hoping to keep up that momentum. So what does it have in store share while as the years go by it's harder to sell that product because you've already alluded to most of your core users. And so what Nintendo plans to do is launch tune versions of the switch possibly as early as the summer. According to people who are familiar with the company's plans. And so one of them would be an advanced version with. More enhanced features that would target really avid gamers, but it wouldn't be quite as powerful as Sony's, PlayStation, four pro or Microsoft's Xbox One ex according to some of the sources on this story written by my colleague, Takashi Mook Zouqi out in Japan. The other version is cheaper option for more casual gamers that Nintendo sees as a successor to it's aging hen held three D S device. Okay. So you mentioned a summer rollout. Houses expected to be announced a big splashy reveal when in. How can we get more details and one can we actually get one well every June? We have the e-3 video game conference. And so that's often where of the big industry players unveil new products, whether it be hardware-software, so good guess would be that Nintendo will use that event to at least unveil the new models and then. Impossibly release them a few months later in the big question is will it sell can that momentum keep going, you know, we just talked about how it was just released two year just released it was two years. But it feels like it was just released obviously sold like crazy. How central is the Nintendo switch to its recent business success? I mean, I'm assuming a lot. But in keeping this thing alive. How higher those steaks? I it's very important because we know that the previous console the we you did not do well for Nintendo that was a poorly selling device, especially compared to its predecessor the we. So then the switch comes out. And it looks like it may have another hit on its hands is early to say that just how many units will sell over time if it's anywhere comparable to the we. But it's definitely in a better position. It's every definitely put Nintendo in a better position. And so now, we're at a point where analysts are expecting the demand to slow down a bit. So you you have two options you can try to. To reach a market people who didn't buy it originally because they thought it was too pricey and they're not super into gaming, but might be more receptive to something that's a little bit less expensive in. Then you also have the really hardcore market who people who absolutely loved the switch two years of gone by them two years is a long time. And they're ready to upgrade to something a little bit more advanced a bullet. I said earlier the Takashi Takashi reported that the this new version won't be quite as powerful as some of the other consoles on the market. So to be interesting to see whether or not it will need appeal to evid gamers knowing that. It's not quite that powerful. But it will come down to the features. And we don't know the details on what those will be so one that we know that won't some of these models won't have for at least for the cheaper version. It won't have one of the vibrate. The vibration feature because Nintendo found that not a lot of games took advantage of that. So one way to keep the cost down and make. The version for casual gamers, less expensive is to remove that. So, you know, we'll see if it'll be another blockbuster summer for Nintendo guess, we'll just have to wait, Sarah. We'll have to see and it also let's pin. What kind of you know, new games that come out because sometimes a hit game can just all of a sudden dry people who maybe have been holding off. They didn't you know, the saw the switch for the past two years. But they didn't have that one franchise they love, and there's still possibilities of of new games, you know, popular franchises to come among them being animal crossing. And of course, you know, that could be more poke Amman games, which are always that. So we'll have to see what happens, but it could be an exciting summer for an intendo and people who are big fans of that company and its beloved franchises.
