"11 is what we're expecting for a high Today 85 overnight 1 10 tomorrow and Thursday before we really get on up there close to 115 degrees. It's 1 11 right now in Maricopa Weather brought to you by Howard Air with replace of repair. Well, Howard Air I'm Jackie Lynn on Arizona's news station. Our news. This is the Gators and shad show. All right. My super best friend Chad Benson is back tomorrow of gay Does that Monica Lindstrom and I know that Monica is here today. Because well, yesterday, Becky, when I told you she took my parking No, I actually look today. I gotta keep you on your toes. She got away with it again. And so today, she took the spot next to it. But she she got so close to that white line that I couldn't park in my spot on and I know that that was not an accident. You did it on purpose. I have no idea what you're talking about. Besmirch me, But that is exactly what you did so Well, you know, it's unbelievable. Yeah, really Unbelievable. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Let me tell you so just quick. Ah, ladies, I have to say this And I wonder I'm kind of wondering, And you know, maybe we'll open up some phones later. I know more more people who are getting the corona virus in Arizona. So just just Ah, when doing this whole pandemic started. Obviously my mom got it and she passed away. She had a lot of other things that were wrong. At the same time my dad got it had about a week of illness. Not terrible. Still really hasn't gotten his taste back after all these months. So it was for at least for me. Two people had it and that was it forever. And I am telling you over the last two weeks. I think I know almost a dozen people now. Well, it makes sense. The numbers are going up in Arizona. Yeah, yeah, It's just ah, matter of time before you know people that hasn't yet when you say you know them. Do you know them directly, or is it like, Oh, it's the brother off a friend of mine or or both. Okay, A little of both. I know Cem. Arizona family members have it. And are getting better. I know that there are about four people. I know that they're in their twenties that have it and are getting better. I talked to a friend of mine today who's been in months Park away from his family. For almost two weeks because this testing in Arizona is a joke. By the way, a 2 30 were you're in. You're not going to believe how bad the testing is. In Arizona. We've really discovered something and a 2 30 You have to be here to listen Pretty embarrassing. It's incredible how far behind Arizona is than all the other Ah states. But in terms of I mean, I know, I know my daughter has been tested twice in the last month because she's been around somebody and thank God our tests have come back. Negative. We just found somebody in the office before before we got on the air. You know, there was another family member that had it so You know, I kind of wonder if there are people out there are like Yeah. Now I know somebody because I'll tell you before. Ugh! Let's take it. Let's take it back 30 days before 30 days ago. I only knew my mom and dad and that was in New York. I don't know anybody in Arizona. Now. I know a lot of people in Arizona. Better at least getting tested elite. Might My niece waited in line for 15 hours a couple weeks ago trying to get attached. Thank God it was negative, but I'm starting I'm certainly feeling that I know a lot of people now that air getting it so I wonder if that's that some of you out there. Maybe we'll open up the phones in a little bit, but it is scary. It is scary because we had a record number of deaths today were over 100,000 cases in Arizona. Overall, we've had almost 10,000 new cases in the past 72 hours to be looking up at the TVs as they're going through states. We're not in the top five. For overall cases. New York is still number 104,000. But where I'd say we're in the top 10 from what I can tell by the numbers. Arizona continues to be a national story. We've got three or four television screens in front of us with all the new stations. At least one of them now is talking about Arizona. So we'll discuss But it is. It is scary out there. You've got to be careful. You gotta wear a mask. You got to try and stay separated. And you got to do your best. If you don't want to care about yourself, That's fine, but care about your family members and people around you. All right. So today it is a do. SI won. Arizona gym's nothing. So that's really is Becky Linds big story? So so let's see. A week ago, it was Governor Ducey on a Monday saying, Listen, we're doing awful here in Arizona. The cases air getting higher hospitalizations, etcetera, etcetera. We know how we're doing or not doing well, so he shut down the bars. Finally, what a joke that was took 656 weeks, and then he he shut down movie theaters, which, by the way, have already been closed for weeks. I don't know what he was thinking. And then he in the same breath, shut down the gyms and ticked off every owner of a gym because basically he lumped the gyms in with the bad actors as he calls them. A ttle these bars and restaurants. So today the court's came down. The judge made the decision because mountainside CEO Tom Hatton took against the state of Arizona. Right, Monica to court and lost. So do Si won that so, can you explain what happened? Yes, Basically, Mountainside, said it wasn't fair for do Si Tio execute the order for the gym's because the gyms are not the same as the bars in the clubs and white pick on gems when he had places like Home Depot and the grocery stores that have Justus many people. And so he took it to court and said, Look, the do Si had no rational basis. There was no reason for him to lump gems in especially when those gems air, taking care and doing everything they're supposed to Dio. The court came out and said, Look, do see had a rational basis. That's the legal language. The rational basis. Hey, was he had advice and information from medical advisers telling him That when you're at the gym, you breathe harder. Those droplets or whatever, go further and faster And you're more likely to get sick at a gym than other places. And so he had a rational basis to close those gyms. All right, let's talk about what really happened. I think we all know this. They were the gym's were upset that the governor lump them in with the bars. Okay. And the governor and his office didn't give any of the gym owners any time. Tio. You know, it was it was it was Thrown upon them. It was a force a bit of a surprise out notice right? It was a surprise. Okay, So so I understand why a lot of the gym's were upset. I understand why a lot of the gym's they were doing the right things. I don't know if all of them were. I know some of them are right. Some of them were doing all the right things. They were tryingto go buy CDs, the mountainside, and that's what the court even said Wright and the gyms air saying, Hey, you what? The bars go wild.

"Of twenty pounds. And if you didn't get four feet on your roof, you've probably just fine. Melt off today should be in good shape. You make sure make sure you see water running out of your scuppers that was another lesson. Yes. With with this kind of a forty eight hour rain system, it it doesn't wash the roof, the flat roofs completely clean it. Just kind of slowly takes all the leaf litter and moves it slowly towards the scuppers creating a dam, and we actually visited a couple of our clients. Whose homes we take care of and discovered that this particular storm with the particular landscaping that they had and the leaf litter that accumulated on roof. There were hundreds of gallons of water we had to clear out the scuppers, and boy, let run man, and you had you had cleaned those scuppers not even six months ago. Yeah. Don't assume that just because you did it once this year, you taking care of take a look that had come down because a lot of damage. Oh, ugly. So you're flat roofs below the Rammer. Probably okay. We designed for a little bit heavier load north of the rim. But even there like eight nine years ago we had two hundred roof collapsed in twenty sixteen. We had a snowstorm that hit months park and created a whole bunch of roof collapses just a couple of years ago. How pine Arizona got like five feet of snow in one storm about six years ago? So it's not that unusual. But it sure is fun when it happens if you're not underneath the roof to collapse. This is turn. So. Those are couple of tips on snow loads. We're gonna talk in the next segment we got a lot of questions on snow loads. And we've got a lot of questions on fireplaces. And so we're gonna. Take you all through and navigate you to the do's and don'ts wood-burning for her places gas logs and then the fake log scenario fireplaces in the next segment..

"And I think you guys are keeping it. That way it it really is about the operators who are the heroes of the highway when these types of storms happened. Your question was tired. No that was exhilarating actually yesterday Davidge chance to ride along on what is one of our to toe plows, and that is a type of snowplough unit that actually has a trailer unit that can slide out to the side remote control. And they can plow two lanes of the highway at once. It's just amazing to watch. Wait. Hold on a second. You weren't driving the snowplow. No, I was holding down the co-pilot. All right. Get out of here. Then. No. I mean, I give you a lot of credit for going out there for four hours and being around one hundred driving around one hundred miles is unbelievable. Tell us where you drove. And what you saw. I mean, how bad was it for people on the I forty and in flagstaff. Yeah. And I'm not quite sure. On the mileage we were circling around the flagstaff area got like a hundred miles for sure. But we we were travelling from eight odds east flagstaff maintenance yard on out onto I forty and we went from east flagstaff to the west, and we went over to the community of parks, which is on the way to Williams. And then did the circle there came back in the eastbound direction went through flagstaff again, you know, the the interchange with is seventeen went past little America and and went back into fuel. And then we got the word that the to- plow was needed down on ice seventeen to the south of flagstaff. So we went on a route that took us down two months park by then the sun had gone down. And. And we were driving in very heavy snow coming down last night. Just remarkable to see the snow flying. The quite frankly, the courage of a snowplow operator in this case. The captain of the ship was a gentleman named Matt's bowls. And he did a great job driving. This to- plow 'cause he has to keep on top of that writing. Hey, Doug, Doug, Jones dot spokesman was in flagstaff months park. All that kind of stuff yesterday..
