"And welcome to the MM QB NFL podcast on Gary bramley. And I'm Connor rohrer. In Connor, we are starting with this packers eagle Sunday Night game. Where I feel like the least interesting development was the final score and the fact that the packers held off or excuse me the eagles out of the packers. And there's just so much more to talk about with the near and long-term future of the Green Bay Packers. Jordan love came in Gary and was spicy. And I think the best throw that he made was incomplete, but he threw an absolute back shoulder rocket to Aaron Jones that went right through his hands. He was almost perfect in this game and obviously very small sample size. But against a pretty good defense borderline, great defense. And you're sitting there thinking, man, what would have happened if Aaron Rodgers was healthy all season? And are these assembled weapons actually kind of good? Is this team actually okay? I don't know, Gary. I'm more confused than when I started the day than no, I'm more confused now at the end of the day than when I was at the start. And that's saying a lot. There you go. Look, the weapons are coming together nicely. Christian Watson and another long touchdown in this one. The grain of salt you take with Jordan love is you say, okay, well, this is a team that, you know, and you will see that didn't prepare for him. It's also an eagle scene that lost Chauncey Gardner Johnson in the middle of this game, read blankenship, who I liked as a prospect, but no one liked enough to actually draft him out of middle Tennessee. And going in there and playing. So you have some shorthanded secondary. You can't throw a whole lot at Jordan love. Now, I would say the other side of this argument that I'm having with myself is when Jordan love got his loan start last year, you're on the road in Kansas City, the chiefs know you're getting the start, they're prepared for you and see spagnolo just, you know, he can throw a million different things at you to confuse a young quarterback. And that was an extremely tall order at that point for that packer scene, but look, he went out there, he felt loose. I mean, like you said, that cover two hole shot to Aaron Jones that should have been caught. That was a really impressive throw. His ball placement was a little bit off, but not drastically off. Like I thought he was, it was fine. The one that he threw, I think it was a little bit behind lazard in the middle of the field. I thought, I thought it was. He was not leading Allen lazard into his impending death by putting it in front of him. Nice safe throwing window. He utilized it. There were also a couple plays where he moved around in the pocket, and if you're not in that sort of clock saving mode, you could take off and he probably could have run for, you know, ten, 12 yards and a couple of these plays here. Yeah, boy, we'll get to some of these scenarios later, but trade him to the Broncos, man. Or something. Let's save them. Let's help them out. Who we got going on down there, but seriously, I don't know how I'm not interested in the packers moving forward this season. Unless we see an extended period of Jordan love, because I think it makes all the sense in the world. Rogers, there's the report today, which is one of my favorite things in NFL media, Gary, which I believe all these guys, but it's always the report that the injury is much worse than you realized. And it's like a time honored tradition now. It comes in the end of November beginning in December, X injury that important player is dealing with is way worse than you can imagine. So he's got the thumb injury now. He's got the rib injury. Just sit you're out. You're out of the playoffs. You're done. Give Jordan love the month of December to make this complicated or to boost his trade value because you're not getting rid of Aaron Rodgers at this point. He basically owns the team. And so I don't know, do something for yourself here, you know? I mean, I would imagine that would come from like Rogers camp, you know, the thumb injury. He actually he's been playing without a thumb for like three weeks. They've just been CGI. On the broadcast here, as they did. I think this kind of gives him an opportunity to kind of be like, you know what? I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna play out the string for a team that again, they're four and 8 now. They're not mathematically eliminated, but this is, you know, and yeah, I mean, they could get to 9 and 8, sure. Like, they're a good team, but I don't know if it really makes sense to try and make this run at this point. Because and we've talked about it a couple of times this year. We expected maybe a bit of not quite as rocky a road as it's been for the packers offense. But, you know, it wasn't going to be what it was with the Monte Adams last year. We thought the defense would be pretty good. The defense is not very good. They have injury issues of their own, but man, Kenny Clark, who is maybe my favorite defensive line in the NFL. He got kind of manhandled tonight. The linebackers without divinity Campbell, they just quay walker is going to be a fine player. He was not up to the task tonight. It was, what are the final numbers here? 7000 rushing yards for the game. No, 360 three, and you always kind of, when you look at the eagles rushing numbers, you have to keep in mind some of these are Jalen hurts scrambles, which kind of inflate things. But a lot of these were not Jalen hurt scrambles. So you were just dudes running through tackles again and again and again. Yeah, they thought that the final, the field goal drive was one of the more commanding when they basically put the game out of reach. That was one of the more commanding drives where it just felt very automatic to me and whether it was Jalen or whether it was Boston Scott or whoever they're going to throw in there. When they have a day where they're groovin and man, they gotta keep Kelsey and all these guys. They have to stay healthy. But if they have, if they have a game where they're grooving, it's over. And I don't know how you stop that. I think offensive line play is so rhythm based because it's really 5 guys moving as one unit and some games you're gonna have great games, some games you're not, but holy smokes. If you could get that kind of push, I mean, that's a Super Bowl caliber team right there. Yeah. And look, another turnover in this game, but just it's just a total fluke turnover. It's AJ Brown trying to make something on a third and long, and ends up losing a fumble. You know, again, they were not gonna go plus two every game from here on out, but that turnover luck has turned against them, and it really hasn't really has an affected them. All that much. Yeah. Yeah, that's great. I'm excited. Gary, we got some packers drama. We have the eagles flying. And we got a really great show. That's what we do. We had exciting games, we had some really defensive, the prideful day for defense across the NFL, I would say. And also just some very sad and quarterbacking that we can kind of point and laugh at. "End zone. He's got it. Touchdown. Bearcats. Alec pierce. If you can imagine a Michael Pittman and his contested catch kind of capability and Alec pierce now a deep threat backing defense is off a little bit of Jonathan Taylor. He might be even better this year. So who knows? Well, Chris, now you're right in our Wheelhouse here. I mean, you're talking to the wide receiver position and we have witnessed a massive re rating of the top, both in free agency. I'm talking to Monte Adams, Tyree kill, cop, AGB you name it, as well as the draft, right? I mean, we had a lot of wide receivers going the first round. And so my question for you is with all this money that's getting paid to the wide receiver position. What does this mean for teams for general managers looking to build a champion? Yeah, it has me calling my agent and asking, do I have any potential of a comeback at all? Whenever they're making $40 million a year now it's insane. But I think it is exactly where the league is going. And even more so this year because it hasn't been talked about a whole lot yet, but the league is going to really crack down on illegal contact penalties this year. And the reason is that scoring has been moving downwards. Just ever so little, but a little bit. And one of the great breakthroughs that happened as far as you can look historically that when scoring really started to take off is when they really put that illegal contact play in, bump and run coverage was lessening the scoring around the league. So now they're going to really crack down on it and they make no bones about it. They send out a memo the other day. The reason we're doing this is we want more points scored at the National Football League. So now with devonte moving on to the Raiders with tyreek going to Miami and we're starting to see this influx of incredible town. I mean, think about the guys that are in the game these days that 6 foot three lay 225 pounds and run four three 5 and all the insanity and you can't go up and play bump and run coverage against them. You're going to see some points scored and you're going to see the passing game be even bigger and more prevalent in what has been so far this year. So it's exciting times for the league and for wide receivers. So there's this need or this push to get higher scores in each of the games. Is that to generate excitement to make it more engaging for the viewer? How much of it is tied to the popularity, the growing popularity of sports betting? Well, like I always tell my kids if you don't know the answer to something and you answer money, you're going to be right 99 points. I don't know what the other one tenth of 1% might be. But yeah, all the above. And I don't think it's directly tied to gambling, but I think if you're gambling legally now, which we can all officially talk about at this point in time and certainly at TF athlete do a lot of talks about gambling and our new app that came out. So we're excited about that too. But yeah, I think that the overall excitement of the game and what differentiates it is are the skill positions, these great quarterbacks, the ability of the receivers to make incredible plays with these gloves that are made out of flypaper or something these days. I would have liked to have played one game with the plus sign, but that's a whole other story there. But yeah, I think that we're seeing now what the fans want, clearly, are more points, more great plays, more games that end like the Kansas City buffalo game last year where whoever took the field last was going to win the football game and move on in the playoffs. So yes, that's what sells. No question about it. It's what the fans want. I want to talk about you PFF app because I think you just kicked it off the year before last year when we talked to you. If I got the app right, how has it been going recently? We actually, we were working on it last year when we talked. And it has just kicked off and I'm probably going to get in trouble for doing this because this is supposed to be our soft launch where they make sure nothing breaks down and they make sure. So I'm going to come on your show and we'll have 10 million people going to check it out. Don't worry, I won't tell anybody, man. But yeah, it's just PFF and so now it's news, it's all the fantasy news and information you need, but more importantly, direct link to betting information and you can actually connect back to bed MGM and go

"I guess the washington football team the following the week before it was a situation where you know we can win this race. Regatta win there's rates weakened win this race by jogging. not by sprinting. Watching ten is slow. Washington is old washington's now to give us too much trouble so against the football team from my home city the washington football skins. We can go ahead and we can kind of not put the pedal to the metal. Because we've got game in four days after that so we can't go out there and kill ourselves. Then take the flight to arizona then on thursday night. Play against the arizona cardinals. What's going to be for them. Their biggest game of the season. So you know those guys are going to be rip roar and ready to go so it was very evan teijin for green bay the play a washington football team eight that stinks and be allows allowed them to not use so much of their energy so much of their playbook so much of the concentration on them that they were coming in less than what they could have been with the arizona cardinals but they came in and got a job and then you know it was a good strong workman i. The the packers all season long their performances have been again. I'll say it before. Solid more than spectacular. Aaron rodgers has been solid more than spectacular. The packers have been as far as winning. Streak is concerned if you take a look at it look at it now seven in a row which you could say. The packers are the hottest team in the nfl. But they're not playing like the quote unquote hottest team in the nfl. Has there been any gains. Maybe before this one that he took a look you saw green bay and you saw and you said to yourself man. That is the best team in the nfl. Right there right there. I'm speaking about after week. Two three four five. I'm not even projecting down the road toward the play offs. And no type of talking about all the week the week basis when you were putting together your power rankings when you went the barbershop waiting for that haircut and you were speaking about your home team. Who was doing this and who was that. Who the favorite. Who's looking good looking. Great who the mvp and all that type of stuff did the green bay packers ever enter your lips in terms of say. Hey green bay. Bamboo that game against detroit or that game against cincinnati or that game against washington or that game against whoever. May those guys look great. Those guys to look fantastic. I mean again throughout the weeks leading up to this game. Thursday night game against arizona. Did you once ever say. Hey man green bay. They're better than the la rams green bay man. They're better than Tampa bay green bay man. They're better than the buffalo bills. Have you because they haven't done anything eye-popping. They haven't done anything spectacular. They haven't put up a forty five burger. You haven't seen aaron rodgers. Go thirty five for forty one for three hundred eighty five yards and four touchdowns and no one reception and throw four passing the game that did made patrick mahomes. Look like i dunno. Taylor tyler taylor panicky. Whoever the bums for for my washington football skins but it's just been then era. Rogers hadn't had that type of performance just yet the monte adams has been brilliant but demonte to play last night but still want ahead and still did this again up until this game because arizona and again it was a statement gang..

Yeah, I've been around longer. Yeah, they just got a kind of an older vibe to her. I think she's great love her love her voice. She can come saying by starting in my Yeah, I like that. Welcome back second hour of our three hour show on this Wednesday. Weather's nice within enough rain the last couple of days. So sort of nice to see the sea. The sunshine this morning. Dave Logan, Rick Lewis. Kathie Lee. We're joined by Benjamin Albright. Multi talented man. He is the key away and NFL Broncos insider. Brought you by Coloradans for responsible energy development. You get the fax and how oil and gas is benefiting Colorado on all Coloradans do so it credit that or go to C R E. D. That orders so because we have so many things to Talk about here? Um, first to Shawn Watson. What is there news at all in Houston? And where does that thing stand? Not really. As it stands for me. I'm still in the same boat. I've been kind of chasing Sarah Rogers thing and kind of drifted away from it. But from what I understand most teams air completely on pause with him until everything gets cleared up one way or the other, Whether that settlements, whether that's litigation, whatever it is, most teams are on pause with that. And they do not expect that to be resolved before the start of training camp or even the season. So if you're if you're in Las Vegas And you, You're laying the line and you want to get equal money on both sides because that's how the House wins in Las Vegas. What are the odds that dish on Watson? Plays. In the NFL season. This year, I would say very low. In fact, if I were if I were betting it, I would bet that he didn't So you say no season for the song. What I would say he goes on the commissioner's that if I exempt list and the commission example is rather and I don't think he plays personally, even if they settle everything out. It's the only way that he would be playing this year's. If he settles everything ahead of that, and then you'd have to go through the review process there to make sure that you know that they're not gonna do anything additional to him. Last question about that lets it again everything hypothetical here. Let's say they do that. Let's say he settles everything out. Is it your opinion that the league at that point would suspend him anyway? I think they would give my conduct unbecoming suspension and they think they've got grounds for it simply because he's admitted to Thean admitted to consensual encounters within the confines of this and they're gonna be like, what do you do in higher massage massage therapist off Instagram to have consensual encounters with So I don't mean I think I don't just don't disagree that they will do that. But if if that's if that's the reasoning behind it them saying to do Shawn Watson, what are you doing? Even if if it was deemed to be consensual sex? What is the league have to say about where? He gets his massager. I mean, if if something comes down where he's convicted of sexual assault or improper stuff that I think that's totally different, right, But I mean and I agree with you. I just think that the way that they're looking at this, he is that he the appearance of impropriety with your If you're hiring these people the way that you're going about this, you could hire massage therapist to a legitimate channel and you're obviously not doing that, And there's an obvious intent here and a pattern. So I think my personal belief is that the league would come down. Something like six games for him. Okay. Um, why would you just settle out? I think he's I think you should have done that a long time ago. I mean, You know, he hasn't The fact that he hasn't already done that to me speaks to rolling the dice either, either either an arrogance that you're going to get away with it or trying to roll the dice in court. It looks to me like he's already lost the court of public opinion very well. So that's against him anyway. Just Settle out. Um, And it s the only way I think he's gonna get his career back. I think you agree with that, in the problem here is that when Ben Roethlisberger went through this stuff, the court records were sealed. In Texas. They're not. They're open. And so that's the problem he has here is that all this information is now out there in the public domain, whereas with Roethlisberger he just settled had them signed nondisclosure agreements and moved on. So that that's the main difference between these two. All right, moving on to maybe more per topic for Broncos fans. What? What do we know? If anything new about the urn? Roger situation? Aaron wants to be here. I can tell you from his camp talking to people in his camp over the past weekend is preferred destination would be Denver. Hey, does not want to go back to Green Bay. He has a very, very strong disdain for the general manager, Brian Good cuts there and he feels like that organization has not set him up to be successful on and off the field. Ah, lot of times. They don't tell him what they're going to do. He goes out on the media to are praising a player and then they cut him the next day and makes him look like an idiot. That was the receiver. Well, it wasn't just that it wasn't just Kumerow was Jordy Nelson was his body. They did that to you, because it was gonna cut him. On do some of those personnel decisions have been the right decision. Aaron just wants to be in the loop, so he doesn't go out. Make a fool of himself on Then, on the flip side of that the Packers have drafted two players in the first round since 2011 1 was offensive tackle Derrick Harada, the Mississippi State a guy who started one game for them. On the other was his ostensible replacement last year after going to the NFC Championship game. Jordan Love player who's not ready to play by any account of their in Green Bay. So you know he feels a little frustrated that he's going back to back NFC Championships and they don't want to get him receivers that can separate outside of the Monte Adams. What we heard from Brett Farve. Today it goes along with what everybody that knows him. Has said that he's a guy that he's not going back. He seems to be a guy that can hold a grudge for a long time. Stubborn in that sense, and once he makes up his mind. That he doesn't like you. He's not coming back. Yeah, And I would say if you wanted an example of that you can look at his family situation. You know, he has a long standing grudge is with his family and basically cut his family off. So Aaron Rodgers is a guy that when he says something he's pretty much sticking to it. Mm hmm. Benjamin Albright, Our guest here 10 14 on this Wednesday. Wednesday is a Wednesday. Yeah. Wednesday morning. Last thing on Aaron Rodgers when when you look it sort of what he's accomplished the last couple of years and, um, with respect to him, not not really feeling what the Packers have been doing. I mean, Is it a simple as The Packers are going to try to persuade him in the month of May, which I've said Please come back..

"Retire. You gotta trade me. Never made choose him for me and for three years far of held off Rogers That ultimately, the Packers did decide. It's gonna be him, not you. Wouldn't trade him in the division. They wouldn't trade him in the NFC. They gave them to the New York Jets. Get a good first half of the season. Bad second half of the season. They missed the playoffs, and ultimately, he lands in Minnesota to come back and exact his revenge on the Packers twice a year. Barb did have good football left. They went to an NFC championship game after he left Green Bay, Minnesota. It's a shame that Packers fans who were forced to choose far for Rogers, the organization or the hero. Being forced to do the same thing again. Far office since come around, and him and Roger's seemed to have a decent working relationship now. The same will happen in good time, I think with Aaron Rodgers That you end up realizing the error of your youth. It's hard to call Rodgers Young right now, but it's the heat of the moment. You feel like you've got football left? You feel like they're already looking at their watch about how long you're gonna be here and you want to be appreciated, and you want more voices in the roster, and you can't believe that they wouldn't help pay you when a championship it instead. Helping themselves to a new QB. Rogers should know better. Rogers should know that All of the feelings he felt about being dragged through the mud by far being put in a miserable situation because the guy in front of him didn't want to give up the job. Because far was openly feuding with the Packers organization. It caused the media and the fans have to choose as well and that was miserable for Rogers, and he should know he's doing the same thing right now. He should. You should know that. As I've said before. Here's where I agree with Aaron Rodgers. Last April. One year ago, the Packers made a mistake and drafting Jordan Love. He should have drafted a piece toe help Rogers. You've got no guarantees. Got pretty poor odds that Jordan love turns into Aaron Rodgers. Draft Rogers help on the offensive line wide receiving help, which ultimately didn't seem like he needed it tight and help defense of help. Pass rush help Secondary help. There's a million ways the backers could have went a year ago, and they went quarterback. The only position that can't help Aaron Rodgers win a championship. He made that mistake strategically on the football side, but also strategically on the rodgersside The idea that the Packers didn't know that this was within Rogers. To be bent out of shape to hold a grudge to be petty. I mean, that is obviously Aaron Rodgers. He's done so since he wasn't drafted by 23 other teams I don't think Rogers is right here is creating a public spectacle out of this. And he has not denied any of the reports. He has not walked back anything. He seemingly quite pleased that it's out there right now, causing all types of friction. And The report that he would rather retire than work for good against. He'd rather of good Akins fire this in any way he's coming back makes it a personal vendetta against one guy, and that's not the way this should work out. About the Adams yesterday also tweeted something that It's kind of cryptic, but seems to speak to this whole situation. It's hard not to think that this is exactly about What is going on? Davante Adams tweets Got to appreciate what you got while you got it. One would assume that this is about the Packers organization, appreciating what they have in Aaron Rodgers. And they should And Davante. Adams once Rogers there because to Monte Adams's helped out by Aaron Rodgers quite a bit. Devante is one of the best and most productive wide receivers and football because he's playing with Aaron Rodgers. He's great on his own, but he's getting a pro Bowls every single year gets under one of the greatest Wide receivers of the game because he's getting thrown to in this type of offense by that quarterback that didn't hurt you don't get that individual trip risky offense. But I would also flipped that sentiment on its ear. Got to appreciate what you got while you got it. It goes for Rogers, too. The reports are that Rogers would like to go to the West Coast, so San Francisco a desirable place the Denver Broncos or the Las Vegas Raiders. Rogers in Las Vegas or Denver. Isn't closer to winning a Super Bowl. Even if you might be quote unquote appreciate it more. Those rosters are not nearly as good as the Packers. Divisions also not winnable, like the Packers. Because that division has the Kansas City Chiefs in it. That division has an elite young quarterback in Justin Herbert did it as well. Aaron Rodgers in the NFC North. Stands a much better shot at winning that division and getting the number one seed in the NFC then he certainly does in Las Vegas were in Denver. Rogers has had the roster to go to the NFC title game back to back years, I'd be the one seed Also, if I were him would appreciate what you've got. While you got it. This is a window to win. When we come back, Jimmy Garoppolo and his dad are scheduled to join us here on the show. That should be fascinating. Stay right there, D, a CBS sports radio. Covert 19.

"Contract in NFL history. $110 million It's a couple years ago. Now less need GM of the L. A Rams. Said just 38 hours ago. At this moment. Jared Goff is a quarterback of the ramps at this moment and then quoted Aaron Rodgers, the future is a beautiful mystery. Joe When you heard that and saw that what was your reaction? It's a bit of surprise, given the fact that the four year nine figure extension $134 million extension that the Rams gave Jared Golf doesn't even start until this coming season in 2021. It hasn't even started yet. They haven't even scratched the surface of this extension, and they're already playing games in the media with whether or not he's their guy. Part of me wants to believe that he's a California kid. He's very low key with everything very mellow, and that this makes me their way of trying to light a fire of trying to say Look, man, stop getting comfortable. You're playing too comfortable. Your numbers were okay, but they weren't great. His yards per game was down. Last year. His touchdowns were down. His interceptions were up to an extent completion percentage was at an all time high, but they're paying him to be a franchise guy, and he is not showing up in the biggest spots. He seems like a guy that the coach calls the right play and puts him in the right spot. He could make a play. But if they need him to think for himself if they need him to make plays to put them over the top and win He's not capable of it. So I think that's ultimately Sneed a trying to light a fire and be sending out the smoke signal. We are open for business if anyone's interested in question in his right there if anyone would be interested for business On that contract, right? That contract is Hey, You're taking that with the player and I'm gonna give Jared got some credit here because he went in with a broken thumb on his throwing hand. Into Seattle and won a playoff game. Yep. And didn't play great, but he has a broken thumb on his throwing hand, but he didn't play poorly. Either. He help that team win a playoff game You could say played better than Russ. I mean, this was I don't know, E think he didn't play better than Russell Wilson in that game. Well, I I completely agree with you. But the quote of and using Aaron Rodgers his term a beautiful mystery. That is one. Well, I mean, when I saw that I'm going What Oh, you talk about that. A subliminal message, but a direct, like call bellowing out from the mountaintop. You know, I mean, like a Viking with a horn. Aaron Rodgers. Would you like to come back to California? You know your native land. That's what that sounded like to me, man and and when it comes to golf. The ability is there we saw two years ago, but he's regressed. That why? I don't know. I can't answer that question. That's a Sean McVeigh question that that he has to answer if they stay with Jared Golf. But the biggest thing that it's driving McVeigh nuts and less need nuts and less by the way at this when you said at this moment, he's Aram. Well, at this moment, you're the one that signed him to a $110 million contract. At this moment, you are also on the hook. And at this moment right now, the one thing that is has really set golf back that's driving McVeigh nuts and Sneed nuts, turnovers. One word turnovers. That is that difficult to fix. No, I mean when you have that kind of talent, and he's led a team to a Super Bowl. You know that that that is something that I think is more between the ears and anything else, And if a guy can fix it, it's a guy like saw McVeigh. The Aaron Rodgers angle is so compelling because number one, you don't choose those words by accident that you're deliberately using those words, right? You're in a managerial position. You know what you're saying? You know, you're going to face the media. You've had the media training. You have the media experience, So I refused to believe that was either a coincidence or be an accident. That's number one thing sounded right Number two. Connect the dots here on this. Aaron Rodgers is coming off one of the greatest seasons of his career because he is in a quarterback friendly system. Mike LeFlore system is a fantastic system for quarterbacks. It also happens to be a very similar system to Kyle Shanahan system to Sean McVeigh system. All those guys kind of came up together. They have the Mike Shanahan coaching tree. They all have their ties and how they run offense is how they scheme. How they draw up plays. That might be the Ram saying, Look, if it worked with Michael floor in Green Bay. We could do the same thing for you here in l A. But we can give you better weapons on offense or comparable weapons minus to Monte Adams, and we can give you a top play Defense 10. Seconds on this. Would you keep golf if you're the ramps? No, He's not gonna win you a Super Bowl. I don't think he's good enough to win you a Super Bowl. So now, if I could make the move, I would try to move on business. I don't think you do one with a very similar roster. You know how many points? They score in that game? Not a lot. I mean, it was 33 body, but they did get there. They didn't get their asthma boy..

"Go to J. R in Anchorage, Alaska. Next up on CBS Sports Radio J R. Go ahead. Hey, thank you so much like, Listen, you definitely hit it on the mail. That is the reason when you're talking about what was going to be like in the room and in the In the locker room. That's the reason why I'm saying they're gonna trade Aaron Rodgers. I say this with certainty, because I think there's a facade there. There's attention there from what we're seeing. When the locker room with Roger's Greg Jennings spoke about it to Michael. Cindy talked about it. Randall Cobb has alluded to it. And I think that rounders is doing more damage building. Let me ask you a question. You think the locker room doesn't like Aaron Rodgers? I think the Aaron Rodgers as a whole is creating some sort of tension in there in the locker room. I agree on that. And here's why, Jerry, I'm gonna let you finish. Here's why I vehemently disagree with that all throughout the season, We praised Aaron Rodgers for how he handled this and the only time there's been drama Here is when Aaron Rodgers lost that now, all the sudden because of how we handle the post game press conference, I thought was an overreaction. Now they have to trade him. I think the guys in the locker room realized his importance. I don't think they're upset with him. What can I get? Can I add onto this? Them, Um Looking at the game. We're always talking. We're talking about Matt Lafleur making these calls and these decisions now you mentioned the fact that Aaron Rodgers himself didn't make some big plays, but they were dropped balls all all across. But I think that is to blame. Partly or mostly, is Aaron Rodgers because in the beginning of the game, we look at those first times that were in the red zone. He was just going for de Monte Adams and somehow not distributing the boss. Draw the players. Making them feel left out. And then at the end, they he was throwing the ball in, and they were. They were dropping it here and there, but If you have this mentality that he's just going to go for Davante Adams and you're just playing, um, you know, taking fake routes or just playing your role. It changes your whole concept. You're not prepared for the game, and you're not said because That's what that's all. I'm trying to say that I appreciate it. I think we're reaching here. Because, and Rogers couldn't move the ball on those two drives, or even when he got the Reds on the offense stalled. That now all the sudden the locker room isn't healthy. The gala Lazard loves and Roger. Think NVs loves Aaron Rodgers. I think Robert Onion who hate to say being nobody, but probably would be a nobody with that are Rogers. I think they all love him. I think a lot of people were overreacting. Any time something happens. It's the end all be all. Keep them trade him. Gotta have an opinion. I think you keep him. The guy just came off Vpc. So I think I want us to probably get a sitter and tell you I do. What's the benefit to trade him or not to get three first round picks and Vernon Jordan love on the field, and if he's not ready, what happens if you're in his confidence? I think you wait. And then Yeah. You really do believe in love? Then let's see where we are next offseason. I don't believe the trade package should be that much of a difference Mark in Sherman Oaks will get you on the other side. We'll get the closing bell in as well. We'll update You also on the poll question results, too, but first up with later CBS Sports Ready Update. We get to Bob useless. See me? Yes. Sports sports flag. Exact. "Remember when we're done, the podcast will go up ESPN eyes the ESPN Chicago at Make sure you download that catch up on all the shows all the interviews. All the original podcast like the odd couple with Mike and me were presented as always by prop swap, You'll get a special encore replay tomorrow before White Sox weekly with Conner McKnight. Get the replay from eight until nine on Saturday morning. So we were talking about what you know Brady could potentially accomplish here. He still has a pretty big, You know, if you ask me, he's got a pretty big hurdle. I mean, I think the Packers Are are so much more legitimate than they were a year ago. I think their offenses hum into a degree that it just wasn't in a year ago, and it might be the best offense in the league, and when they've won by and large, Mike I mean, they've blown teams out the only game in which they won this year. They've got 14 wins counting last week. The only game that was close was the Jacksonville game. And maybe you'll chalk that up to the opponent a little bit. Their average margin of victory and all their wins this year for the Green Bay Packers is 13.6 points per game. So They've really stepped on some throats this year with that offense. Yeah, I mean, look. Aaron Rodgers, Santa. Fantastic. You I'm not taking anything away from the guy. But the fact is When was the last one? Did he play into Super 2011? That was the 11 campaign? Yes. Okay, let me ask you something. If I would have said Do you? How many Super Bowls Well, Aaron Rodgers went from 2 30 in 2012. I would ask you that question. How many would you have told me he would have won by now. I mean, listen one or two more. Yeah, I would've thought maybe he would have got another one. And then they honestly and fairness them. They should have went back a couple years later, And then they had the boneheaded special teams play that guy that cost them the enemy. But he's only been to one only been one and he's playing a guy. That's going on 10 and he's playing the guy Get when Rodgers takes the field now, folks, Green Bay is minus 3.5 of my right, Kanwar. Correct, all right. Tell me you're in. Rogers doesn't feel he's the underdog here. Going up against Tampa, right? Interesting. You look at you know who the man is. I don't care if you're playing 16 and stop all if you're in a bowling league if you play pool on Wednesdays. You know who the man is, regardless And regardless of what kind of your Aaron Rodgers as he would have preferred to play Drew Brees with his 25 yard on. You know what I mean? Barely if that if that so He's walking out there as cocky as he's always gonna be, except he's gonna be looking at a guy who's a trained assassin. It's an injury point. It is he almost feel like the underdog. Yes, and they had one real stinker all year. And we know what that was. That was Tampa. Uh, in week. I think that was weeks. Six. This year. When they got drilled, coming out of buy in Tampa, they lost 38 to 10. Rodgers through two picks in that game one was a pick six. The other was returned to the Green Bay two yard line. Essentially, you're talking about to pick sixes. There's the box came away with a couple of touchdowns. They sacked Aaron Rodgers four times. The only time he was sacked more in a single game this season was the Carolina game in December at home in the Packers won that game so Yeah. I mean, he might, You know, like this sense talking about the bond to Adams. He's two key here because the Monte Adams to me see Brady's always done it with with non descript receive. It's okay. He had marks the one year He's had welcome. He said. Adam it Okay. Right here like drunk, but I see you're saying in terms of life, he had drank it too tight. It, uh, you know, this guy Aaron Rodgers says has to Stefan to Adam's My Godfather. He's had other guys in the past that were great. Better receivers than what Tommy said. I just I just think Debt. Rogers is walking on his home turf. Feeling he's got to play the best game. Of the year for himself to be Tom Brady. That's Tom Brady is a mythical hero now among even quarterbacks. You know the stat about Roger's. By the way, you know how many career touchdown passes? He has the first round picks Do you know it's going into this year? Unless that I'm trying to think if he threw into a first round pick this year, he has one career touchdown pass to a first round pick, And that was last year when he threw a touchdown pass to Mercedes Lewis, who was a journeyman, tight end, you know? I mean, that's incredible Anyone. I mean what he s so you can almost make the argument that because he helped make No. A Jordy Nelson. Did he help make Jordy Nelson so great and Greg Jennings so great it Davante Adams is out of this world right now. You're right, Mike. I mean, he is tremendous, but that Rocky Giorgia Nelson, his last year when he went to Oakland at 63 catches Georgia and I thought Rogers missed them. I thought they should have kept him in effect. This is funny. I I was on my bar room podcasts, and I said Do I said at the time and still picking up Ellen Robinson from the JAG wires. Why don't we pick up Jordy Nelson and then Oakland picked him up? And he had a pretty good yet is putting here is Rob is Alan Deputy Allen has been great, Alan, that's so great..

"Um, so I think the Monte Adams I'll be curious to see What kind of day he has. I think he's primed to have a big game. Um, you know, in the scheme aspect is why to Todd Bowles loves to bring pressure and he likes to blitz guys up the middle and Put your corners on one on one situations, and Green Bay had a number of them back in week six. And they weren't able to capitalize. So kind of that game within the game is gonna be Can the Bucks defensive line and with Devon White Levante David included. Can they get there and writers before he can uncork? One of those big draws to Davante Adams Rogers is insane. Right now he's gonna 52 5 touchdown interception ratio over the course of the regular season and last week's playoff game and at 37 years old. You might be getting better, and I wonder when we're NFL observers. We've never played the game. It's astounding tow Watch Rogers. I mean, everybody understands how great he is. But what is it like to have played the game and understand the difficulty in the game? And then assess and wash Aaron Rodgers such as yourself Well, it's fun to just watch him dissect the defense as he's standing on the line and you could see his eyes darting left and right, and he's watching the safety's try to rotate and he's looking at coverage. You're looking to match up. No that developed the Adams touched down last week on the one yard line. You could kind of see when he first sent to Monte atoms in motion from right to left. He was watching the defense. He was watching Jalen Rams and you saw him running with him. So he knew. All right. I've got him a man and he He's got this kind of smirk like this. You know, like he knows something's up and you know, he's about T O unleash. You know what on you Then, when he sends them out the atoms in motion the other way. It's almost like he's smiling before even says hiking and No to me just his command of this offense. And his ability to know that, like all right, I got my guy going emotion and my guys fashion your guy Jalen Ramsey have to navigate Drollas traffic, so I just have to get this ball out as fast as possible. That throw was so remarkable about how quickly called the snap Rose the bowl and it's accurate, so his physical abilities are are impressive. But DIA when you watch him in this offense, his command of the offense is ability to understand exactly what everybody's doing. On every single play, and he knows even if he's gotta run play On and he's the safety Ellison is creeping down on the line of scrimmage. Alison. He knows he's blitzing. He just those little thumbs up or a little single toe to Monte Adams or Lazard. And now they're running a slant, and he and he just changed the play. So It's It's really remarkable just to see kind of the maestro aspect of him and how he's orchestrating everything, and I really feel like it's because he's in year two of this office with Matt LeFlore. We saw glimpses of it last year. But in this same game last year day you remember, I'm sure they got run out of the building by the 40 Niners and they could not block. You know the guys up front. They couldn't block Bosa. Um, you know, they struggled with handling that front. And we saw frustrated Rogers. So he's definitely in his own right now. And it it's fun Football. Yeah, they sure did get run out of the building last week or last year. Rather, I'm wondering about the bills from that standpoint, final question about the H C championship game. Do you think that the bills and their lack of success running the football how little they rely on the run that they could still win on the road in NFC Championship game if they can't run, run the football in the ground? Well, I don't think it's the ideal scenario. You know, you want to run the football like you're saying, you know, if you want to try to shorten the game, anytime you're playing Patrick Mahomes, you know whether it's coming out of protocol or not. You know if you have an average of seven or eight possessions, a game if he's team does You don't want to give Patrick Holmes a possession, So you want to try to shrink the game if he can only have five. I think that's in your in your best interest. So no doubt the run game thing is different, but I think for Buffalo, they're going into what the mind said. Look. We don't care if we have to throw the ball 60 times we've we've got to score 30. No, that that's that has to be your offensive mindset. We're going for a touchdown that we can't. We can't beat the Chiefs of Field goals. And I think you saw that last week against Baltimore when they didn't run a single. They didn't run the ball in the first quarter. I think there 1st 20, please. I think only two were runs. So they were coming out. You know what? That aerial assault And I think a lot of that is just the trust that they have. And Josh Alan. And you know, we were talking about Aaron Rodgers, who his physical skills, his ability, throw the football. Obviously, Tom Brady is one of the best quarterbacks to ever play the game and he has a great ability to throw the ball. Patrick the homes and Josh Alan. To me. They're just on a different level. They don't throw the football. They swing it like they they sling it overhand underhand sideways. I mean, they just have a totally different throwing ability. Josh Alan can throw the ball to the right side of the field into the left side, the field without ever having to move his feet or changes forward, not every quarterback and do that, so I think that that's really showing up and I'm excited to see Josh Allen on this big stage and You know, see him? Kind of, you know, make it make a big move for for himself as a player as well, the bills, But, um, but no doubt it's for them. I think if you're Brian table, the office corner You need to score early. I expect there to be a little bit of Ah. First driver to for Patrick Holmes to kind of have to shake off a little bit of the cobwebs or the rust. Whatever it is. No, because even if he is practicing right now D a. He's not. He's not doing everything. And I think that that that game speed On Game day could take him a little bit to get going. So if your buffalo you want to get up early, Shawn O'Hara won a Super Bowl in 2000 and seven with the New York Giants. Last time the NFC championship game was played at Lambeau Field will see it come back to Lambeau on Sunday. You could watch him on the NFL network is an analyst. Check out. "Of Michael Braugher's after the two yard gain. Makes the tackle for the Rams and the defense for the Rams. Michael Bracher, Sebastian Joseph Day and Aaron Donald along that three man front. Samson Ever calm and Leonard Floyd, the outside backers Kenny Young and Troy reader, the inside backers Troy Hill and the Excellent Jalen Ramsey a corner. John Johnson, the third and Jordan Fuller hologram safety, second down and eight of the 34 Yard line. Rogers in the gun with three receivers to his left, leaning in on his left foot awaiting the shotgun snap is Adam's emotion from left to right. Shot and snap comes in letter high. Rogers throws right side Adam's catching a 40 yard line and nudged out of bounds by Troy Hill at the 42 Yard line. Should be a first down for the Green Bay Packers. You know, when you started to introduce Aaron Rodgers it sound like you were introducing a heavyweight. Champion and on that last play champion, the Green Bay Packers kind of outline how this game is gonna work. They lined up three receivers on the left the Monte Adams, the inside receiver, He went in motion away from jail and Randy, so he's working his jab to start the Performance so far. Packers offense has scored 13 times this year on their opening possession, nine touchdowns. Four field goals, have a first down and give up the middle toe. AJ Dylan, on the rookie from Boston College, burst forward for nine and its second one is he nudges the football to the Rams, 49. AJ Dylan. Some eyebrows were raised when he was drafted in the second round, but you could see this big body. It's something that Defensive backs don't like to tangle with what's the temperatures get a little cooler because it's like trying to bring down a refrigerator that's rolling downhill at you. How often does a refrigerator rolled downhill it you well so far, once in the ball game second, one of the 49 yard line on its Jones, who gets to carry on the left side, and Jones, brought down by brokers of the first down yardage of the 46 yard line, picks up three to move the chains and the Packers, who have averaged more rushing yards per game this year. Since the 2013 season. It's been ineffective run game, they get another first down on the ground. You know, you would think that the Packers would be a team that just rolled up yard after yard after yard. They were fifth in total yardage, eighth and rushing, ninth and passing. You know, those numbers are in the top 10. But the thing that they did better than anybody else. They scored points, so even they're not in the red zone. But once they crossed midfield, they're thinking about scoring points on first down, Rogers three step drop those right side caught at the 40 yard line. Making a man Milson out of bounds of the 34 yard line goes Mark West. Valdas Scant. Ling picks up 12 on that first down toss from Aaron Rodgers and another Packer, first down. I made this note on my heat who helps carry the bucket. We know that heavy lifting a lot of times during the regular season was done by the bank by Davante Adams. But who else is going to step forward? Is it gonna be Robert Tanyon is gonna be Aaron Jones. Alan, those are we saw about this canceling on that play right there. The Great Snatch and run those down attendance 34 yard line Jones or Motion out with Davante Adams to the left of the line. Empty backfield.
