It expires in about five minutes. It is just to the east of Athens This is now. It has been revised several times now right now. It is Oglethorpe Georgia in the Madison Georgia era. You have an active tornado. Warning in your area you've got another one This is a pretty sizable. The area with a storm rapidly moving through Barrow County a Walton County and Jackson. County you've got an active tornado warning at nine fifty eight Ama severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado is located over youth I had no idea. There's place called youth in Georgia in any event Nine nine miles west of Monroe Georgia moving northeast at sixty five miles an hour that gives you an indication of how quickly the storms moving through this other one They have now actually extended out this National Weather Service. Warning a couple more minutes. They were GONNA get rid of it But at ten to a severe thunderstorm capable producer tornadoes. It was located over. Colbert near Daniels will move in at fifty five miles an hour This is for Oglethorpe county in Madison. Janice Madison Georgia Madison County This one tornado warning switch stretches from the Atlanta Metro area south of Loganville all the way up towards commerce. It is a very fast moving storm. There is rotation. I can see it on my radar that I have a very significant. Now those of you further further up in North East Georgia. If you're in the Clarksville area you are under a flash flood. Warning in fact every single person listening to me north of I twenty right now is in a flash flood warning in addition to these two tornado warnings. "And no one would talk. And so the only person who talked was somewhere Titian after why wouldn't the other speak? I don't know the motivation, but they declined an interview when did they start saying suicide? Cloudy day, they complete their investigation, which was approximately four days after the eaten matter of fact, if you listen to the nine one one call she called it that when she made the call he hung himself who said that the nine one one person that called in the call nine one one one one person who found his body. She was the one that said he hung himself. Suicide was then determined. If you ask me because that's all this the way it went. They didn't come and check for any evidence of you know, what I'm saying suicidal. No, no, no. They didn't question any of the family to see if any of his Newsbeat h-have your change or any of that. There was none of that done. None of it. Jackie all of you interspersed the story of Lennon lacy with reading. Enactment of lynchings in the history of lynching if you can talk about this. What had been going on in the county? It's very unusual to keep the history alive of what had happened to the black community. And so one of those communities where I'd filmed is in Monroe Georgia where a group of diverse group of people they get together annually reenact in nineteen forty six quadruple lynching of two couples the Malcolm's and the door Steve. And they do that to make sure that the victims are never forgotten and the lynching was in nineteen forty six my mom was alive in nineteen forty six that's a generation ago. And so they believe that some of the perpetrators may still be living there. So talk about this reenactment lynching. So the doors Malcolm's were murdered on July twenty fifth nineteen forty six. And so around that time that weekend and Monroe which is about forty minutes outside of Atlanta, a group of people get together, and they dramatize scenes from the narrative of lynching, and it's their way of right? Getting their own history and writing their own narrative history that's been undocumented in some ways and incorrectly documented and others. And so the the reenactment begin on a hot July day, it's really hard. If you know anything about the Atlanta area in the south, and and people come out and make care of an from scene to scene, they begin at this at a church that is the site of the gravestones where where the victims were buried, and then they moved to the jail where one of the victims George Dorothy withheld, and and then they reenact that scene because what happened is George stores. They had come home from the war and had got into a fight. They were he was a sharecropper in got into an altercation with the landowner that he was working for the landowner wasn't killed George Dorsey was arrested. And then someone came to bail them out another land on the pretends that there. Work for them. George called his wife and his wife called her cousin Dorothy got her husband, Roger, Malcolm, and they all came together thinking that they were going to work and the land owner drove into the ambush on the Moore's Ford bridge. And so the of the reenactment happens in that site with the lynching actually happened. So you're talking about public spectacles and lynchings not in this case, but people came from miles around sometimes a thousand people to watch. An African-American ledge. Absolutely. And and sometimes that crowds were more than a thousand people in Waco, Texas in one thousand nine hundred fifteen fifteen thousand white men women and children came out to watch the lynching of Jesse Washington. And and that has happened many times across the country for over a century from about eighteen seventy two to nineteen sixty four experts believe that there were probably they've recorded about five thousand nearly five thousand lynchings and most of those victims were African Americans. They actually believe that the numbers are probably closer to fifteen thousand those are just the numbers that they could document. And so the thing that really drove me about understanding this history is the impact because imagine that communities where half the people in your community came out to watch a lynching by the thousands in. What that feels like to hear thousands of people in your community cheering the violence on the screaming laughing. The roaring even if you weren't in the midst of it, even if you didn't agree with it you still impacted by it. And so the question for me is what's been passed along from generation to generation and families both black families and white family. So Claudia lacy issue watch this film? You know, the story of your beloved, son Lennon, but to see put into this context. What was your reaction? It's hard to explain. Heart wrenching. It allows me to grieve. Because. Tells his story the way I.

You spoke to the topic of the year maturity? Here population. Yes. Said something about social pressures. You know, what I what did it for me? Trail cam. Oh boy. Years ago of shot that big old giant? I grew up in the sixties, and it was Wego whole season baby. One dude. You bet. Yeah. The the in the sixties dilemma was one. Yeah. Yes, sir. Is you saw a track on a road? You you you covered it up. Yes, sir. O'neil loved loved the show, man. Appreciate. You bet. Thank you for calling. It's always always good to hear somebody add add to the pile so to speak and here's MAC with the ramp fishing report. Good morning MAC. Good morning. How are you? Good fishing getting good in. Cooler weather long overdue, but it energized fish, especially the bass, oh boy. Yeah. It's gotta move in. Late summer dog days, if you will are always tough for bass fishing. I get a little bit of massage a lotta suspended fish too hard to target and that went on forever because it stayed so warm we'll get this extended summer. But now that this is changing last week. They were ready to go. But now things are really starting to happen. And that's the good news. It's energized bass fishing if there's a downside to it. Or there's a footnote to it. The one drawback this time of year is official scatter out. You have all that you might have ten different patterns walking versatility is going to be keen because any changes because you have changing now the front should start rolling in a weekly or every five days, and that changes things trying to get a weather change. And then you got to turn over to deal with but bottom line is deficient responded. Well to this cooling weather in in here on the near particularly it's energized or top-order by. Especially famous. Yeah. And you start Shriver side looks her schooling start seeing those in area. Lakes now, the water temperature falling down into the seventies. So you got fish in the whole water column, you can have them anywhere. And you might catch one with a repel on top Durant. Catch one Witherspoon. With everything I had someone dearness fishing trip. I just got back from was marveling at the fact that he this past summer he had called a striper at fifty feet. And I didn't want to upstage him. But I say. I said really when you go more you'll find out there are a lot deeper than that. Next time you need to go look at the deepwater. That's right. We call. We caught one two summers ago at ninety seven feet dinner ninety eight on the bottom. I remember that fish head. Ricky was great shows you guys to bail wife soon and ninety eight feet of water in flowery branch creek. I got you got that memory down. All right. People what should the next couple of weeks? Now, if not hiring you are another guide or whatever to fish the lake. What would you tell the weekend fishermen to you do Lanier to catch some good old spotted bass question and all that. The bulk of the activity is centering around lane lake submerged islets home. Okay. Twenty five to thirty feet. And there's a lot on the linear most area like people have some brush on these all these hospital land the brush top water over them. If you just want to catch fish, you want the numbers bass fishing robo Ormeau dropshots going to be hard to beat for numbers inconsistency. You catch bigger fish the top water, or if you got the patient's still legit around that brush, you get the bigger bite. Maybe. Okay. That's I look for look at your map. Look at the hash spots in the creature on the main like twenty five thirty seat and actually a lot the stripers oriented to the same places. If you're striper guides users free line, a live hearing over those areas or maybe white him down a little bit with a split shot, and then cash top order, even though you the top spot maybe twenty five feet, you can pull out of water that he can be aggressive Gani. Yes, you'll come and get it. So that's. The best the structure you wanna key on? And I think that will a lot of lakes as well. Okay. Let me ask you a question him by and large just as a general rule general observation will you use a bigger bait and be more successful with a bigger bay in the fall and the spring. I like, so I think they'll feed on bigger Bates. Whether it's live patriot treatment, bigger, top waters and water still warm enough right now, we're still in the upper seventies. So you got pretty active respond to bigger biting they're willing to chase. When you get in the spring, and depending on what part of spring. We're talking about water temperatures in the sixties and you'll probably find them respond to smaller Bates better. So yeah, I think now bigger bite you're better. I agree. Also, faster and noisier with the top. Order prediction. Always always enjoyed your report, sir. And I hope you get some good reaction from it. That's that's a confirmation coming from you that I value highly because I say it ad nauseam. The more. You know, the more you understand the more successful. You can be in the outdoors. ES or it makes it a whole lot more pleasurable. Sometimes just sit there and watch unfold what you've already told us, but to actually see it in action, just like mystification. Well, thank you very much. It's it's it's not all that often that I'll get a call at our someone will say something of that nature, which is very supportive of of what we try to do. I know on the television show. I'm I'm increasingly spending more time with what to do when to do it. How to do it? And what the results probably is. And why it turned out that way? Yes, sir. Across excuse me. Again, it comes across. And you have certainly certainly helped a lot of us. I'm sure there's others. It's been helped out there. They just say tied up, and sometimes they can't call and tell you, but you know, like, you've had unfortunate experiences before some people just blast you because they don't agree with your your. "Good morning, Luke. Hey, good morning. Neil meal. Hey, longtime listener love the show. Thank you very much. You spoke to the topic of the year. Maturity. More secure here population. Yes. Said something about social fractured. You know, what I what did it for me? Trail cameras. Oh boy. Years ago. I decided that big old giant. Eight four, and I wouldn't have waited for that his daddy walking along with. I didn't know he was there. What a great point to make that Glueck Desa terrific point. Because the the trail cameras allowed you to know that he existed. Right. I'm sorry. I couldn't hear you. I said, yes, it was a great point. Because the trail cameras allowed you to know that the bigger deer existed. Right. Absolutely. And I've let more this year than I have. Years ago, you know, out of south that big old John hundred eight you know, because they lose the big, and the would, you know, go go Sahar. To get your eyes on them. You know, I grew up in the sixties, and it was uh. We go a whole season vacancy one. Dear you bet. Yeah. The in the sixties dilemma one. Yeah. Yes, sir. If you saw a track on road, you you you covered it up. Yes, sir. O'neil love love the show, man. Appreciate you bet. Thank you for calling. It's always always good to hear somebody add add to the pile so to speak and here's MAC with the ramp fishing report. Good morning. Matt good morning. Nail. How are you? Good fishing getting good in. Cooler weather long overdue, but it energized fish specially bass, oh boy. Yeah. It's gotta move in. Late summer days, if you will are always tough for bass fishing. I get a little bit of massage a lotta suspended fish too hard to target and that went on forever because it stayed so warm we'll get this extended summer. But now that this is we saw it changing last week. They were ready to go. But now, thanks are really starting to happen. And that's the good news. It's energized bass fishing if there's a downside to it. Or if there's a footnote to it. The one drawback was weird this time of year is officials scatter out. You have fish new an all you might have ten different patterns walking versatility is going to be keen because any changes because you have to change in the front should start rolling in. Clear every five days, and that changes things that are trying to get a weather change. And then you got turn over to deal with but bottom line is a fishing responded. Well to this cooling weather in here on the near particularly est energized or top-order by. Especially. Yeah. And you're starting with the Shriver side look for schooling fish. You're gonna start seeing those in area. Lakes now, the daughter temperatures are falling down into the seventies. So you got fish in the whole water column, you can have them anywhere. And you might catch one with a repel on top Durant. With everything I had someone dearness fishing trip. I just got back from was marveling at the fact that he this past summer he had caught a striper at fifty feet. And I didn't want to upstage him. But I said. I said really when you go more you'll find out there are a lot deeper than that. Nice timing. He's gonna look at the deep water. That's right. We call. We caught one two summers ago at ninety seven feet. Ninety eight. I remember that we had Ricky whiz. Great guys to bail watch soon and ninety eight feet of water in flowery branch creek. You got you got that memory down. All right. People what should the next couple of weeks? Now, if not hiring you are another guide or whatever to fish the lake. What would you tell the weekend fishermen to do Lanier to catch some good old spotted bass? Great question. And all that the bulk of the activity is centering around main lake submerged islets, okay? Twenty five to thirty feet. And there's a lot on the linear most area like people have brush on these all these hospital land the brush dole top water over them. If you just want to catch fish and want the numbers bass fishing robo dropshot, it's gonna be hard to beat for numbers inconsistency. You catch your bigger fish with a top water or you got the patient's still legit around that brush, you get the bigger bite. Maybe. Okay. Look for look at your map. Look at the hash spots in the creature on the main lake twenty five thirty seat and actually allow the stripers are oriented to the same places. If you're striper guides us free line, a live hearing over those areas, or maybe putting whiting down a little bit with a split shot and cash the top order, even though you the top spot maybe twenty five feet, you can pull striper out water that he can be aggressive. Gani? Yes, she'll come and get it. So that's the best the structure you wanna key on? And I think that'll plot a lot of lakes as well. Okay. Let me ask you a question him by and large just as a general rule general observation will you use a bigger bait and be more successful with a bigger bait in the fall and the spring. I like, so I think they'll feed on bigger Bates. Whether it's live baiter, even bigger top waters and water still warm enough right now, we're still in the upper seventies fish. They're pretty active Bill respond to bigger bite and they're willing to chase. When you get in the spring, and depending on what part spring, we're talking about water temperatures in the fifties. And you'll probably find them respond to smaller Bates better. So yeah, I think now bigger Bates, you're better. I agree. Also, I think faster and noisier with the top border protection. Always always enjoyed your report, sir. And I hope you get some good reaction from it. Seven seven zero two seven one eight five one memory like an elephant. And look like one to this morning. O'neill? Listen, the was in the ramp fishing report over send it over your Facebook page later on this morning. So people get Neil. Hey, great idea. So the ram fishing report will be on O'neil outside Facebook page. We will send that over later. My friends mighty fine. Thanks for calling back. Yes, sir. Have a great weekend on the water in the field. Enjoy you bet there you go. Hey, let's see. Let's talk to Jim. He's calling from Monroe Georgia. Good morning. Jim. What do you say? Some of us are at greater risk for AMD. If you have blurry vision or blind spots, they can be symptoms of AMD. If left untreated it can lead to blindness. The good news with early detection AMD can be managed with affective clinically approved treatments that can reduce or even reverse some vision loss learning that you have.

"And maybe you know, Mississippi State was overrated, but I buy into Kentucky and I will take Kentucky at home against South Carolina will lay the one point and then also from the world of college football. Whereas g unit was. Taking Texas Tech plus three and a half. I'm on that game, but I'm on the over of seventy two and a half for West Virginia and Texas Tech over seventy two and a half, and I am on the Texans colts over a forty seven. I in -ticipant that to be one of those shootout kind of games. So I love the fact that that number is only forty, seven. And then I'm also going in another NFL game, which is very rare for me. I'm on the cardinals and bears over and gangster Pete. I think that's it. Thirty six. But if you wanna correct me, let me get which game is it? Arizona shouldn't be zone in the bears, Arizona in the Seahawks. Thirty nine thirty nine zone in the Seahawks thirty nine. That is my play for this week. So Arkansas plus twenty and a half against Kentucky minus winning kind of West Virginia, Texas Tech over seventy two and a half. I Texans and colts over forty seven and cardinals Seahawks over thirty nine. Those are my plays producer Joe. Let's open this up and see what weird soccer games we're going to be looking at that are minus one seventy. No soccer. That's. You know soccer this week I'm looking produce jobs. Pick pay out, isn't upset. I would've would've lost money on that. Play Syracuse is getting twenty six. Unlike g unit producer, Joe does not let me know who these people are playing. So I've got look it up myself. Syracuse playing Clemson producer. Joe is all in Syracuse. Syracuse is undefeated and they are at Clemson undefeated Clemson, and they're getting twenty six producer. Joe is on the orange. The Orangemen producer, Joe plus twenty six. Of course. There's a Georgia Georgia state or Georgia Tech play that goes without saying block that up every week, Louisiana Monroe in Georgia state are playing, they'll play in front of friends, family and the over on that one is sixty two producer. Joe is on the sixty. One. Oh, it's lowered to his favor. He's got a few lines that are incorrect. Oh, which adds two year when g unit. Now your suspicions of what goes on with producer Joe's operation. He's to Monroe Georgia state over sixty one. So he gets a point in his favor there from what he sent to me. He's on Tennessee plus thirty one and a half, but I was looking this morning. I think that number thirty and a half now, correct. That is correct. Thirty and a half a season playing Georgia. That's thirty and a half, so producer Joe's on Tennessee. That's an interesting one to me. I was considering including Georgia and my plays. I could see that being in the high fifties and Tennessee scoring something around ten producer, Joe is on Penn State, Ohio State over seventy and a half, and he is on South Carolina, Kentucky under fifty one or one and a half. That's fifty one and a half. Okay. South Carolina, Kentucky under fifty one and a half Penn State Ohio State over seventy and a half Tennessee getting thirty and a half against Georgia, Louisiana Monroe, Georgia state over sixty one and Syracuse at Clemson and Syracuse getting twenty six, your judgment and producer Joe's other place. So they are all in. Now before I go onto our locks of the week, Marquette of evergreen, wealth strategies, the sponsor of the foam lines that I'm calling in from as I look out on the Las Vegas strip and he mountains out west where I will be attempting to shave strokes here, Marquette evergreen, wealth strategies making this possible..

"Chaotic it felt destabilizing and and stability we want stability but that's the bility is based on systemic inequality in it's based on the acquiescence of people to that systemic inequality and when blacks were like no no the the anger was not at the system itself but the anger was at black people for identifying the structural flaws in the system you know you talked about for instance how my earlier work dealt with african americans human rights in the cold war one of the things that became very clear for instance is that whenever there was a lynching and the soviets or those in india or an africa would begin to publicize this horrific tragedy in the united states like the monroe georgia lynching where four african americans were killed including two women in nineteen forty six the response from the state department the foreign policy bureaucracy was not oh my god this lynching is horrific the response was oh why are they publicizing this is to make us look bad and so the anger was at those were publicizing it not the anger at those who had committed these atrocities so this is part in parcel of the way that the us deals with protests deals with what is seen as instability because again it in you know we talked about early on when you have a national narrative of vast peration that seems like a chief ment and when you have a national narrative of merit in that those who have have earned every last bit of it and those who don't haven't done anything to deserve it then those protests look aberration all they look as if they're attacking the system that had provided all of that achievement that had provided the the wealth of resources just look at the way that the football players in the nfl were maligned.

"So after calling for roger malcolm to get out and hem not getting out the men than approached the vehicle and they pulled all four black passengers out two men and their wives one of whom was seven months pregnant at the time the four passengers were then tied up to a nearby oak tree the mob then surrounded them drew their guns and shot and killed them the coroner's estimate was that sixty shots sixty had been fired at close range into the four individuals these two events the murder of macheyo snipes and the quadruple murder of the four people in monroe georgia was the catalyst for then president harry truman to form the president's committee on civil rights which was charged with investigating the conditions of civil rights in the united states at that time this was another step in the right direction for the larger fight for equality and for civil rights in general it's just a shame that it took these murders to bring this type of issue to national attention it was also after these two events took place that martin luther king jr junior's vision for his future matured he was outraged by the senseless violence of the murders but he was even angrier at the lays a fair attitude of how the murders were covered locally now as we said there was a national outrage over these events and the federal government responded quickly to the lynching forming the affirmation tioned presidents committee on civil rights but it seemed that locally the response was much too mild for martin luther king jr junior's liking.
