The Banking System Broke; Will That Force a Fed Pivot?
"All right guys, it continues to be interesting times and today was supposed to be the big financial event of the week with the CPI report. So let's pick up the story from where we left off yesterday and see if the CPI report actually had as much significance as it might once have seemed. So here's where we were. The falling dominoes were silvergate closing down on Wednesday, Silicon Valley bank being put into receivership on Friday, and over the weekend, the squawking chaos is the tech industry viewed itself facing moral peril. All of this led to the fed's coming in on Sunday Night as the white knight, saying, hey, we're invoking systemic risk. Everyone's deposits are safe, management is not protected and taxpayers don't have to foot the bill. Oh, and by the way, we shut down signature bank as well. Yeah, the crypto won. No, don't ask us to explain why. And into all of that on Monday morning, market started in turmoil. First republic began the day 70 plus percent down in small and regional banks everywhere had their trading halted for volatility. However, then, at least in the non banking sectors, markets started to recover and even move into the green. Many commentators were incredulous. Dimitri kofinis from the inimitable hidden forces wrote, we got a global pandemic that killed millions of people, the start of a potential World War that could kill millions more, the steepest interest rate cycle in 40 years and now the second largest bank failure in U.S. history and markets are still like nah, we going up. And it wasn't just stocks. Crypto absolutely roared yesterday led by Bitcoin, which was up nearly 20% on the day. And by the way, has continued to increase today as well, hitting 26,000 at the time of this recording. So what the heck you may ask is going on. Well, let's talk first about the crypto side. Yesterday I did a YouTube video exploring three possible explanations for why Bitcoin was going up. The first one is the one I'd most like to be true. And that is that this moment is piercing the veil of people's perceptions of the solidity of the banking system and showing them that they are a part of something that is more complex and risky than they might have been led to believe. Even if one isn't clamoring for the destruction of the fed and the end of Fiat money, it certainly strikes us that it might be better if a more informed electorate better understood the part they play and more specifically the role their money plays in the system we have

We had Iowa governor Reynolds passing a universal school assigning him to law last week at universal school choice program and also governor Cox in Utah just on Saturday signing into another universal school choice initiative. So over time, throughout the past few decades, there have been incremental reforms of slightly expanding school choice to disadvantaged populations and then Arizona being the first one to be the first government school monopoly domino to fall. I weighed myself after the gym. So i was like one ninety one idea. I don't know what the fuck it was. I didn't want to know what it was but I've been just doing what i need to do. Proteins veggie water had one root beer. I root beer. If had all month. Don't eat after six workout and cardio lifting weights cardio cardio burn fat lou. Yes it does. I down to one eighty one point two as of today. I'm dropping three pounds of fucking week. It crushing it next week. I'm shooting for one. Seventy eight following week seventy. Then i'll be down to one seventy two and i'll be in shape again. That's how it is. That's how it works. Okay and i go back to boston. And what sucks is probably eight pounds on a fucking week. Because if you think i'm going back there and i'm not hitting my old all my old food spots like like uc already fucking mind going back there. I'm getting the bar pizza. I love getting that fucking amazing chinese food. What else am i getting as a couple of sandwich places. I'm hitting the fucking north end. I'm going to do some damage. A right there probably put me two weeks behind but the bottom line is by the end of september. I'm going to be like where i need to be as torrent so my my button-down my fitted buttoned-down shirts. You gotta get fitted button-down okay. So when you the button on your shirt starts looking like it's doing the iron cross trying to hold both fucking sides of the shirt together. You know you need you. Gotta you gotta drop a few so. I've been crushing that. You know my shoulder fills good. I got my You know it's funny. My wife showed me this picture. Doing forty-seven forty-eight pushups forty seventh birthday. And i looked at my form. It was fucking horrible. And i just saw this thing that was shown where your hands should be. They should be back a little bit to the side and it said this right here. Works your chest in close worksheet. Triceps this right here gets you injured. And that's how i did push ups my whole fucking life. I was like wow so thought it was the pull ups it was. I think it might have been the push ups and just bad form and other things just lifted like a kid from his eighties was all about what you benched. It always bench day fucking buys and tries and you never really did you back in even when you did you back. You didn't know how to do it so you've got way more fucking stronger than you back. And then you've shoulder went forward and then you bad form it on the push up and then there you go so but doing the good form the doing pull downs and all of that shit like my back. The muscle group. That i'm working is actually burning now. So i know i'm doing it right. It's a good burn man and with that. I waited too long to say this. How about those milwaukee bucks down. Tuck them in and you shut out the fucking light and if you don't just slap him across the face and once that sting wears off cheeks a little hot and red they start get met they get all of a sudden tired of the game changes. Because i'm sitting there watching england michael they playing fucking mardi ball. They're gonna sit on the fucking lead. Let's get aggressive. Let's get down to goddamn fucking whatever you call it. The rosary the pitch so anyway. I go outside. Don't go outside go to the kitchen making myself a little pizza and all of a sudden. I hear the first something that i haven't heard in about an hour. I heard the sound of excitement. And i was like holy shit that england gis somebody just scored. It has not been this fucking loud in well over an hour. And i ran in and i see the guys in the blue shirts. They're fucking going nuts. And then i was. I don't know. I got excited. And you're kind of responsible as they walked towards stuff he he's fucking strong as hell and you put them down and he just runs out of the room. You gotta make sure the doors are closed. My wife and myself all have birthdays. And it's just it's been nothing but cake and then I by the way. I had the greatest birthday of my life This past week it was just it was phenomenal. just had the best day and As much as i was telling about you on saturday you know everything that i happened That night my lovely wife was taken me out to dinner. She didn't tell me where and i was. Just you know. I didn't ask her. Where so we're we're we're on our way to the restaurant she goes you know. Aren't you surprised you haven't even asked me where we're going. I want to be like. I understand it surprise. I'm not trying to ask questions to ruin it. Because that's what my wife does she. Just ask questions. She fucking colombo's me. I get it's a surprise but you know what there's just one what thing. And then she asked me the thing and then she figure out what it was. And then i would get upset. I think that's like a sport for you. Don't they don't like that. You can surprise sir. Okay because that means that you could trick them if you can trick them. We're driving over there over and over. You know having a good time and shit and then she just goes. I'm surprised you haven't asked where you're going. And i just laughed and i was like well. I figured it was surprise. If i ask questions do you want me to figure it out. And she laughed and she said no so we were on our way over there and we went by some italian restaurant and my wife was like. I didn't know they have one of those there. They got one of those in the valley too. I didn't know that must be like a chain or something i go. They have good italian. She said yes. Well my favorite chicken parm and the city is that dan tennis and then i immediately went like why did you say that. Because she's most likely taking you to a different restaurant and you just kind of said your favorite restaurant is that place and that dish right. Why would you say that you dumb. fuck right. And lo and behold. She doesn't say anything. I'm like all right. Is she being cool. Is it going to come back and bite me in my pasty freckled asks. What's going to happen right well. Wouldn't you know we pull up to dan. Tana's like you gotta be kidding me. Take me to dan. Tana's she smiled. She goes yeah all right so then we walk up to the place. People got mass on. Its shit doing whatever she goes right. I'm going to go in and check in. Just stand outside. So i say okay. I know you guys all know where this is going to stupid right so i'm just like all right. I'll stand side so you could have like outdoor sees so we go. We walk around the back. And i come around the back and i see joe barton ext mustache moustachioed face and like the fuck. Is he doing here. And then i look over. And i see my father-in-law. Like oh my god all like supply. That's what they did that in yell surprise every just what which is funny. 'cause no strangers didn't know there was a surprise party they all just looking like. Oh no these people are gonna be this loud and it was awesome. It was like everybody that i loved was there. I always wanted to surprise party. I was just always to fucking walled off and whatever it just never happened for me. You know you put the this is certain type of person that they throw a surprise party. For and i'm not that person so i don't know what happened this year. But she did it. And i had a great time and then afterwards she was like did you like it. Were you joying. And i was like yeah. She goes okay. Because the couple times i was looking at your face and you didn't seem like you were joy to i was just like jesus.

How quickly you can put it on. Do it right to keep it off if you wanted to drop twenty pounds. Say whatever a pound a week two pounds a week. You're talking anywhere from three to six fucking months.
