"Zelensky has warned European leaders to prepare for years of war if they do not do more to increase the supply of weapons to his forces, the announcement comes to Ukrainian troops, prepare to launch a counterattack against Russian forces in the eastern town of buckmore. The U.S. Military has carried out multiple air strikes against Iran backed groups in Syria, the attacks were triggered after an American contractor was killed late on Thursday by a suspected Iranian made drone, which struck a U.S. base in northeast Syria. And members of India's main opposite Congress party are expected to take to the streets today to demonstrate against the conviction of Rahul Gandhi, the opposition leader was found guilty of defamation on first day for remarks he made in a 2019 speech about prime minister Narendra Modi. This is the globalist stay tuned. We continue with transport news with Monaco Strasbourg correspondent Gabriel Lee who joins me now from Stockholm. Good morning. Good morning. Gabriel, your first story for today's about Morocco's ambitious high-speed rail plan still us more. Right, so Morocco has a high-speed rail line. The first of this scale in Africa. And it's been doing quite well since 2018, running between Casablanca and tangier. And now they say, based on the success of that, they want to expand it quite a bit. So they want to link cities to the south, like Marrakesh and agadir on the coast, as well as make a new high speed rail link to over toward the Algerian border. So quite an ambitious plan they're setting out to do, though it will take some years still. And it sounds like it's going to take some determination and to wheel as well considering how expensive doing all that is. Right, we're talking about billions of Euros and potentially more. They're looking for investments from outside. And yeah, of course, I think the political will is there. So that's the good part. And then figuring out the financing and sort of making sure the timeline doesn't slip too much is the key. But it's nice to see that they have one that's functioning and it works well. So and what's going on with passenger figures, it looks like it's a success. Yeah, it does. But supposedly it's been just above and beyond what they could have hoped, and they say that it's removed a number of coaches and cars from taking road journeys, reducing CO2 emissions, all kinds of good positive benefits. And of course, it's much faster now to go between the north of Morocco and the capitals. So yeah, it's working out well so far. Excellent. If you're looking at this kind of high speed travel, is Morocco leading the way in the African continent and do you think other nations in the region may try to do the same thing Morocco's done? I think it's certainly is leading the way. It definitely has the most viable and sort of long-standing network in the continent. You have a smattering of other projects. One of which is in place, the one between Nairobi and Mombasa in Kenya, which was a Chinese finance project. I know Egypt is looking to build quite a bit of high-speed rail, but that has not gotten off the ground yet. And there are plans for a sort of pan African high-speed rail, which would be an incredible thing to see. But it's something that they're looking to do over decades, right? So it's part of the plan for 2063. We'll see. Many of these products have not even broken ground yet. So they're in the planning stages. It would be lovely to see them come to fruition. Another project in the planning stage is we'll actually probably happening a bit earlier by the end of the year is a new Thai airline. Gabriel, first of all, I have to ask what do you think about the name of this company? It's going to be called really cool airlines. Yeah, really cool airlines. It's certainly one that stands out. So if they were looking to get some PR out of the name announcement, they've done their job, I think. It should be noted that this is coming from a man who was CEO of knock air. Thai budget airline until recently, and he has a travel agency. That's called something similar, really, really cool. I think is the name of the trailer. So there's a link there. But it does come across as if it might be something of a joke, however, it seems to be a real thing, a real plan. He wants to launch this airline really cool airlines by the end of the year. How much more do we know about the details of this plan starting from what the upper approach is this company is going to be taking? Is it going to be a budget airliner or is it trying to be something more something better? Something improves something more. Yeah, well, so far we've seen a lot of buzzwords and not so much substance, but they are talking about having some kind of mix of low fares and premium experiences and really good safety and on a three 50, which they're saying they're going to acquire the most modern one of the most modern Airbus widebody jets and they want to fly internationally on longer haul routes. So we don't know really too much. It's a lot of talk at this point with very little concrete, but they're talking about a sort of a premium offering at lower fares. Whether that's possible, I think many have tried this. I don't know if it's ever been possible, but we will see, I guess. Is there demand for a new airliner like this in the region? I suppose there's plenty of potential growth in the region and Thailand is now just starting to bounce back from the pandemic and the drop in tourism numbers. One of the arguments that the person behind this is making is that we need more airlines to bring in more people at attractive rates and with attractive offers, especially as Tai airways at the moment is kind of a shell of its former self. They've parked most of their planes and sort of generally seem to have suffered from this time in the pandemic and they haven't really bounced

"Valentine. From Mombasa, Kenya, as I have said. I am a worship leader at nearly baptist church. And I'm so grateful for the opportunity that I got to have gotten us out. That's lean that. And it's been a really wonderful experience. And I'm great. Yeah. Awesome. Well, we want to hear about your experience as well and let me just say that I love Neil baptist church. Have been there several times, speaking. We've done conferences there. John wanji is the worship pastor there and he's a dear friend. He's been our director for a while now there in Kenya, directing our ministry next of worship. And in fact, he'll be directing our intensive school Valentine. I don't know if you know that. But last year, he'll be our director for that intensive school in August in Kenya. And Mombasa is on the coast. So it can get pretty warm there, right? You get pretty humid and warm there in Mombasa. I remember it's quite a bit warmer even than Nairobi. It was I recall. Yeah. That's true. That's quite true. The right now. It's a bit cold. Oh, yeah. Well, okay, if you're watching an America, United States or in Mexico, it's going to be flipped for us. Because this is summer, it's hot. But for them, and the continent of Africa, not every part of gas, not sure how it works. It's cold. It's in the cool season. It's opposite. But I was going to say that when we flew into Nairobi in May, is that one we were there last year. Go so much. I get confused. Yes, may. I flew in Nairobi and it was comfortable and then we flew over to Mombasa and it was hot and human. It seemed to us quite a bit warmer. I remember that. And so.

"Well, one of the great joys that I have is leading towards collaboration within our network. Luis blau always said, you know, one evangelist can only go so far, but together we could do so much more. And he modeled that almost every event that he did was always collaborative and he was very encouraging in those kinds of ways. And so yes, you're up here in mombassa Kenya, a population in the metro of about 1.4 million people of which 40% are Muslim. And so that's always an interesting intersection between Christianity and Islam. But we pulled together about 200 churches in the Mombasa, south island or south coast who partnered together to put on a large evangelistic campaign that was led by African enterprise. They're one of our partners throughout Africa, love their vision, started by Michael Cassidy from South Africa who is just an amazing leader and has been for decades and decades. And they're 68 years here. And so they want us to come and collaborate with them. And we put together an evangelistic festival and we had 25,000 people show up in the four days of the festival. Isn't that incredible in an Islamic area, which was just so amazing and phenomenal to see, but the broader campaign was the largest city of Mombasa, and there were about 2000 volunteers that came from the churches of Kenya. Every day, we encouraged them with devotions and then they went out onto the streets and into prisons and into schools and into clinics and they shared their faith. 380,000 people were personally touched one on one in this campaign and overall 20,000 people recall the exact number, but just over 20,000 people filled out decision cards to accept the lord Jesus as their personal savior. Isn't that incredible? That's amazing. But you know, that's not just one organization..

"To pick the best for the lot. If we think God is all might, he is great. He is faithful in our lives. We'll pick on the best. Even as a worship leader when I'm leading, I will lead from my best me and lift his name on high. But in that sense, you see kind. Picking up just things from the ground. Yes, he was a grandma, but look, I would love to say this and confess this at growing up, I thought God was was a guy who loves meat, he loves. Meats of some good ship meat. That's why you've seen the Bible. They are authors or the time orders, whatever they put there, they had to put some sheep. That was made. So for me when I was growing up, I thought, maybe God is really like, he likes meat. Not a vegetarian. No, he wasn't. He was not a vegetarian. Then let the rune realize that no, no, no, no. It's not what we bring. It is how we bring before going. I'm in. The hot that we carry. We bring before God. Donald, what we do when we come in to these regional conferences is focus on the heart and the meaning of true worship and often people that come or worship leaders. I think they come. They say that it's a worship conference and they expect it to be music. Yep. And we've actually had a few that have expressed their disappointment. That we were going to be teaching instruments or teaching vocal skills, but there is a point in our ministry where if one stays with us long enough, if they come back and are hungry to grow in the heart of worship. Then that might open a door for them to develop their skills. Tell us about that. Yeah. From that, we go to what we call the intensive school, which is a week long. Camping where mixed level worship, sponsor those scholarships, people up to 80%. They only pay 20% with just a commitment, and that 20% goes back to them, because we transport them all the way to the venue. So that's where now we bring in a bigger team. Bigger team from the United States from America and from Zambia. We bringing people with skills, guitars, voices, piano, and song writing. All those things we put them, that's what we call it intensive school, because it's intense. When we start at 8, we only stop at 9 p.m.. Yeah. All the time. And wow, that one, nobody just come on their own. They need to be recommended by their personal right. And the first qualification is that they would have attended one of our regional conferences when we're going around the country. Right. So if you're watching this and you're interested in learning more about the next worship, you can go to our website. You can actually download free materials. Yes. We have one called building strong worship leaders. And whether you're a worship leader that oversees a group of appraised team, or if you're the actual person in the price tape. Or if you're a pastor, this is a good resource for you. Wow. I can tell you that that book is only found at next level worship. And it has been written by one of the top worship leaders of the United States of America. And they did not write it just to write about any topic. They write according to their strengths. We've got guys like bob Kathleen. Dwayne Moore himself here. We've got other guys who have just been called to worship. Worship leadership. That book is a must and all you need to do is you go to next level worship dot com slash resources and look for that book. And when you download it to ask you for information of you are going to have that information. And when we have it, we'll make sure that we contact you. We follow you up and you become part of our community and you'll be knowing what is happening all the time at next level worship. Well, as you can tell, we're excited. Now we're a little tired, a little road weary. Yeah, and we went on the road now for two and a half weeks going on three weeks. And so this is kind of a rest day now that we've traveled over to Mombasa. We're going to rest to relax tonight. We start our conferences tomorrow. Yes. Here on the coast of Kenya. And so pray for us. We need you to pray for us. And I think one of the unique things about this conference is that has happened is that we are having we will have the last conference which will be. Tomorrow. Of a peasant whom we've never met. We just met him today over lunch. And yesterday and was it Tuesday in the day before? Yeah, we had two conferences on Tuesday and Wednesday. Of the people that we have never met. But through the connections of our Friends in the United States of America they introduced them and those guys were faithful and they did a very wonderful job. And wow. So we are looking forward for another one, which is the new one, then the other one on Saturday is the place where we've been, that's what we held our intensive school. So be meeting some of the worst leaders in front of the Indian Ocean. Yeah. Excited about that. So we're going to be back in a few moments with more live talk. We're going to be interviewing doctor actually, I keep calling him doctor, and he says he corrects me. Pastor, Elijah, one G, but he comes across so with so much wisdom, I always want to call him doctor. But Elijah, you're not going to want to miss this interview. He is the pastor at ridgeways baptist church in Nairobi. Yes. And what a great time we had with him. Wow. What a man of wisdom. He really touched my heart. The way he came out to just be a blessing to us during our time with him in Nairobi. Yeah, so some of you are watching this as a separate video as an update. Others are watching it as a part of a live talk show. So if you're just watching the update part, go to live talk with Dwayne Moore and watch the whole show. Don't miss this interview with the Elijah waji. You're gonna love it. It's gonna bless you and help you. Thanks.

"My name is donate kuta all the way from Africa and Zambia but we are right now in Kenya in the area called Mombasa. Mombasa, which is on the coast on the coast of the Indian Ocean. Yeah. And so we flew in, we saw part of the ocean, you know, just through the window of the plane, but we haven't really been on the ocean yet. Yes. I don't think we're going to get really get on the ocean, are we? I think that's one of the things that you're supposed to do when you don't have oceans, like for me from Zambia. Okay, so we are going to definitely I should walk there. Well, at least go to visit those. From where we are seated, somebody taught me that it's a ten minutes walk, not dry. Oh, really? Working. Okay. Yes. All right, well, I might have to join you. I'm not really a beach person, but you're right. You get this close to the coast of the Indian Ocean, and you probably need to visit it. So why are we here? Not to visit the Indian Ocean. We are here because yeah, we've been doing regional conferences and this is our third country. We started with Ethiopia in the first week of May, then moved on last week to Uganda where we had very wonderful conferences in Kampala and Ginger. So now we are in Mombasa, Kenya, we started with the capital city of. Kenya, which is Nairobi and we are now in this lovely city called Mombasa for yet other two conferences. I think they'll be happening tomorrow and Saturday and we'll be in church's preaching on Sunday. Excited about that. So thus far, we, you know, we've tried to keep up with the people that have been in attendance at our conferences as well as the church services and although what I'm about to give you is an estimate. It's pretty close. Yeah. I think it's really safe to say that we are probably at 2200. Yes, that's right. I think that's safe. Yeah, that's true. You know, the fisherman would keep letting the number grow, like the fish stories. No, we tried to be on the lower side. We want to bring in it. Yeah, when we got on the higher side, it sometimes makes you feel as if you've grown up. What we're doing well. I think we're doing really well. Now, who are the kinds of people that have been coming to these trainings? Yeah. We've had mostly what we do during regional conferences is that we let we let it open to everyone. And we've had ashes attending we've had worship leaders worship members pastas. Should I say every congregate? Every worshiper had been part of that of that worship worship regional conference is that we've been having all around. Yeah. And so we are in this four country two. Now next week, I'm gonna be going to Germany and you are heading back home. Home, please home. Because I would have come to Germany, but I have the conference. You have a conference at your church, because you're a pastor too. Yeah, right. So I need to be there. Sure. The conference starts next Friday on the 27th of the 29th, so. Well, I love the fact that you are a pastor from several levels. First of all, I love it because your call, you're doing what you're called to do. Admit, that's a good reason to do it. But also because it helps you relate to the pastors that come and to us. Yes, very much. Because I'm not a pastor, I don't claim to be one. You know, we need to be within the calling where God put us. But you are. Yeah, I think Uganda is one of the countries that blew my mind away because every place we were, every church we visited, the auditoriums would be like they sit around 1200 people on a Sunday and they do four services. Yeah, that is awesome. For your pasta like Miz and it builds my face. Yet with God, all things are possible. We had one story, which was so wonderful. And so funny at the moment, remember that when our host Herbert told us that the show that the tents of a certain church were, he said, the owner of the chechens said he can not feel members in one auditorium. So he is deciding to build a stadium like all the so that he can feed people. I said, and how many people does he bring on a single Sunday? So it's countless. Yeah. Well, I feel like Uganda has got a lot of larger churches. Very much. Yeah. And so in each country, the culture is different. Ethiopia, the food is quite different. But the people are always the same. I think it's true to be able to say, we find a passionate group of worshipers in every place, the lord brings us. Yeah, for me, Ethiopia was one of the best places to go because we went in right at the time when they had printed the book that you wrote, creating space. The idea. They printed in their own language America. And they had brought in 500 copies. And they'll be giving to churches. I think in one of the conferences we did, we gave away a book to every person who attended, and that was very, very powerful. You could see that there is that spreading of what God is doing regarding biblical worship everyday living of our God. So now when I go to Germany next week, our well, there's an amateur coming right by. We are outside. Is it obvious? Okay. But next week, in Germany, doctor Johannes Schroeder has translated into German. Yep. Did you know that? I saw on Facebook, but I'm saying, wow. Isn't that cool? Yeah. And because here's the idea. This teaching is a biblically based simple idea. I mean, it came out of this heart and brain, it's not going to be complicated. It's a very simple thing based on the lord's prayer. But we believe that it's a teaching that can be transformative to congregation. Very much. And when you look at it, you find that that prayer always leads leads everyone who is a believer to go and worship God. I'm in. I love the way you bring out of the ingredients of the prayer and however what is happening in our lives. We need to start with hint who is our father. Worshiping him regardless of the situation. Even when we are on top of on top of the world, he is still gone. And I appreciate that about your teaching. So the way we construct a formatted conference, and typically the ones we've been doing on this trip have been for the most part, rather short. Maybe three, four hours. But within that time, I'll speak usually on what is true worship. And the theology of worship as a lifestyle, but then you'll follow that up, and you'll teach on the heart of worship. The heart of worship and I think everything builds up from the inside and it's what we get from the wedding of God. The same Bible, you can see some of the things that are unfair and build a heart that will be maybe a red foot to God, but if we look intently in that word, we can see the faithfulness of God and how great he is regardless of our situation. I'm in. He's still got. He is. I love the teaching you do on performance versus ministry. You want to take a moment and share that. I mean, just sum it up, you know. Sum it up for our listeners. Yeah. It's a picture of a cane and abbot of bringing an offering. And one offering is rejected, one of our is accepted. And I was asking a question to say, why? Why should you refuse one of her accept? Because from chapter one to chapter four, God does not give the kind of offering he would love a person to bring. Yes, he doesn't. So the offering that we bring matters but what matters most is the heart. Because the heart is the one that you make you.

Cooley powder in it auto shocking about now and i went to one sound buddy's house and normally you take two little like russell cup things out of there to make one quarter whatever right. This guy got a big pitcher poured the whole thing. Oh my god right right. When had big sugar bag when i mean a big sugar bag it was like a fifty pound bag of sugar. Sean about dog food ridiculous. Yeah it looks like feed fucking feel me like large animals. Eat this shit okay. He took the little plastic thing. Went down in the bag and got and got scoops of sugar scout. He got what was it. It was like five or six. Okay full right right of sugar. Probably five pound bag of sugar and then and then basically you know took it over to the sink with water and it was a huge pitcher and it took it took like five minutes for this pitcher to fill it with water has skills lot mixes it up. Pours a glass and hands it to me. And i'm like how we really want to drink seriously thirsty so i took a big sip. Kool aid. mustache didn't go away for like it made sense because it is kinda rusty trombone it made sense because this guy had a perpetual cooler all the time rose. You've seen the white trash mustache now. Now i realized why he had white trash were. He was basically drinking fukabori. Eighteen pounds of sugar. I haven't seen that. But i have a hole boys for mcdonnell and back into that i'd be. I'd be the hole boys from ghana right and they had one of those jars that you put sugar in that you pop open but what they would do. It would be full of sugar. They would take to cool eight packets poured into the sugar of thing. Mix it all up and then pour that into a pitcher and then fill it up with water dan. That's some jailhouse so every time. They wanted kool all the sugar that was in the sugar jar that had been filled from the big bag. They would just pour two packets in there poured into a pitcher in like stirred up. That's interesting yeah and then just make it and it was just all sugar this this tastes like somebody used too much sugar but not enough powder. It's like they used like seventy five percent powder like eighty percent sugar and then somebody just got into rang. A tang to piss in the cup. That'd be real. I think. I think he didn't have enough powder for that sugar. This point he was so much water so much sugar and it was one of those containers powder. He probably needed like three to offset that show and even then it was still too like painted. My this sucks bro. Like my lips. This sucks bro. It's not great. I'm gonna get it like a good go. Take a couple. That person was pretty big. Take like a couple of. They'll let the third up sit in. Yeah oh my god man. We don't we don't have we. Don't have that sucks. i. I'm from south africa on in the middle of the wind lens and i drink a lot of wine. I'm in the gulf and unleash industry. Not just sorry. I came into the end of your Of your following you more regularly. It's not as much of a question. Then maybe as a comment a few comments about the one in decision to industry south africa because of the lockdown we are in severe trouble. I mean we all sitting with two hundred and eighty million to three hundred million liters of wine and it is not as i'm speaking it as harvest tom And yeah they is a problem so we really need the support of if he person that he's on this room to talk about african one and what we can do with south african wines if she wants to economic on my profile there is a communications community network which are more than welcome to us. It's free of all the different wine regions all the different associations. Everybody's on the gaza welcome to use that. It costs if you guys want to communicate or flood and nato converse at smith charlene that thank you. I mean you have a party. So i i. I didn't invite you up. You trust co. question. I mean you have to mute live under constant okay so that was fine all right so let me just review the questions. I think there were two questions If there were good logistical upon us from From fabien and then the wind question so why education. What is the state of the wine education. And i think with that are. We can Brown dubbed as the last set of questions. We had fun fun from ami but okay in terms of education I think wctc really making good inroads. And if i'm asked any wine education being from a professional person or just a normal person wanting to enjoy. Wine cost always recommend In this brady An online courses you know. I think we can utilize areas like zoom All of these technology we came with With you know the covid nineteen situation can help us all. But as a desperate need for education. And i don't think these You no formal education outside of cape town south africa we bill. Eternity is kate coyne academy And beyond also some. I think must simply held your first classes last year in south africa and it was growing obviously because of covid it affected anything. But i think the major one if the moment has to wc t- And in terms of logistics. I think you know getting to the ports is too fine Capetown poets devonport Mombasa port But i think once it 'cause the mainland than yeah. I'm still having struggles with that. I don't think there's a strategic logistic partner doing containers we've Proper conditions even the way houses where the winds is lending. I think tim economic with me. Still you know in a deplorable condition. But which again to say because there's no education there's no investment in weed. So i'll i'll i'll to that wednesdays in mainland yet just hope for the best And this goes to every country maybe not so much more in south africa by the rest of the quantity is too big risk in terms of wine storage wine transportation I don't know if there was another question answered. That was just the singer and charlene mentioned the network of the south african wine on industry which we will go. Have a look okay. Tomat- up to you to close up. I want to say come back to us tomorrow tomorrow. Eight pm central. European time for me to international academy timmy. education department. "Mitterrand's lee welcome to govern on. Bam bam awesome so broadly. This is the second go round when he tried to do this once and here we are again. You're later just about a year later. I think if not maybe a little bit more members from the first one. I remember we did yours. End mind like in the same recording musically and so we talked a lot about representation. We talked about your experience with being a person of color and having not really realized it until. And why don't we dive in. So tell us who you are. What's your heritage. Which is i'm in the us over everyone else. Rhonda's in australia and also you're in the future. We're talking about this before the recording Way the features eight thirty a m in the future. Now's ahead so when i leave australia night. Arriving in la. I arrived four hours before i left. Scottish has of his is amazing features. Spent a good day to be alive icicle yet. I mean i'm looking forward to thursday. Who's rawnsley what's your heritage. Well i. it's interesting. I've always struggled with identity and i still. I think i'm on that journey. All figuring out exacting by bennie. So it's a constantly evolving. Question alonso. I suppose to the questions constantly. Ask myself that. But my mom on a portuguese possible at my dad's in indian possible fire was spreading office. The only possible and osborne bearing in the middle east by mom was born in mombasa in kenya. So i've actually never thought of myself as a minority. I think is the would that i like. I never thought of myself as a minority. And i think that's the conversation he had maybe time because i was in an entrepreneur events where there was a session on minorities and someone asked me on going to that session and i'm like no. I'm not a minority minority and then bay said in hindi because i still understand riot out. He said it in job excellent but it's very similar thing like connie see the color of skin now's life. Us should stick with that so that was fascinating when that happened. What all that changed often. Black lives matter off the some conversations about representation about somew- conversations that i'm having so i'm just a citizen of the load totally when i find interesting is that it wasn't until adulthood. That was pointed up to you which it even much more complex and layered because i grew up in mexico city came to the. Us and the united states is notorious for wanting to put you in boxes. When you arrive into the us is like oh you. Are this whatever we decide. That box is and most of my audiences in the us but habitat people like it all over the world. And so your experience makes the answer even more layered because not everyone exists within the constraint. You didn't you. Iran's lead for a long time and i didn't fit him anywhere right so that was the familiar part of everything. Like i never fitting. Why didn't fit in need. Even i spoke in the with an english accent sauce incidents the ride and i come to failure. I have an indian accent and my indian turret still acts up. Don't get me wrong. But i had changed the way i spoke primarily because i think that when someone didn't understand me they didn't know how to ask again to the only way than you ought to ask again was to make like i wasn't saying correctly in the first place and i gotta john's to like you know break that down really until now this year even in the last few months so then now more and more i'm encouraging people to pull and that's why i think clubhouses amazing and obviously i'm one of my a lot but I love clubhouse primarily because you feel all these different voices and really listen because you know in cobb. Got to listen before you speak right. It's like a token stick. So you have to listen to this person and you realize that if you pay attention just because they sound different in the english is different does not mean that they're not smart or they're not intelligent in the points that they're making bright

The Trip
Interview With Wanuri Kahiu
"Why is that such common question. What is that breakfast question. i would have for breakfast. Had part ahead Sarah millet porridge with spice were Cattleman cinnamon brown sugar and Yeah and but the. The partridge flowers made from millet mood for millet. Which gives it and then they and then they sour it somehow so it's like sour millet porridge and then i like to put coconut milk and spice in that sounds like porridge is usually this just bland. That's what it's supposed to be. Sounds like you're going to opposite direction. Gosh no. I discovered porridge of been discovering parche. All my life. I think it's a process of continual rediscovery honestly like my grandmother's purchase. The best part in the whole world was a best best best best best partridge and then i lived in mombasa for awhile in the night i tasted the part in mombasa and that was the best and i started feeling guilty about liking another party. More than my grandmother's really. Did you have a chance. you're still with us. I'm sorry you can even taste it. You couldn't even get her on board. You can do and also a little bit like mombasa. You're still living out in mombasa or you're you're here full-time based was what was that dalliance with the coast. I've always wanted to live at the coast. Feel like the coast is just a super magical wonderful. Can't i can't even explain mombasa's just it's beautiful. It's one of my. It's like going to the coast dismal. The ken coast is my happy place. All is has been in the indian ocean and the beaches and the coast on on the south coast of the northern. The most beautiful beaches anywhere. I've ever seen Right let's go. Yeah we're gonna so we have mambas where it's at. This deanne is where. It's at. So i just i try and spend as much time as possible so for a while. I thought i could live there. I was just like you know. I can live anywhere. Move bats while you can live anywhere. I mean you can in theory but you but but you can't is super small. It's like It's it was small. It was small for what i needed to do. So i was constantly like jumping on like an extra flight to just to get out of mombassa into opportunity into life and work. Yeah i'm going to pull a thomas friedman on your i i was talking to my cabdriver right from us saying the same thing everybody. He grew up with those living in nairobi. Now it's nice and there's no jobs. But that's i mean. La maybe is an exception. I don't know like a all of the people. There are trying to make it not nice but they. You know beautiful places. Great beach never have good jobs. There's never enough you're to go back to some godforsaken place like new york to get your work done okay. So attlee whenever people say where you from like visiting la and people say where he from. Mo's like the east coast the true your coaster. No because no because yeah kenya's the other east coast and you from the great lakes. That work no i was. I don't know isn't this Right so you're an east coaster kenya being on the east coast in but not like a proper east coast would still be mombassa again. The default how far back to your born raised in nairobi. Yep But then became hopping on a flight to get into life you. You hopped out pretty young young university even before that the last two years of high school i did them in the uk was there. Like that's when. I realized i was black. Hard thing to figure out here. I didn't know i didn't know it. I am like now i hadn't heard of it. I wasn't having race conversations with my parents. I'm having race conversations with my children now I just it was just it. Wasn't it wasn't a thing. Tribe was a thing. And we're trying to get over that and you know but race wasn't a thing i remember i had a white auntie and jews lake. You know like different. It's just like the odd person out. Wow you know. That's just because she was different.

Terrorism in the horn of, Africa the Trump administration we presume is also keen to do more business because of we'll let competition from China investing and taking a slice of trade that speak to allocate such you in, Nairobi financial, analyst Alec and welcome back to the program I thought you. What's in it for President, Trump he's mainly be known for his rudeness about the African continent how the scales fallen from his is because he's seen a main chance here I think that's an interesting question obviously he's, he's thrown, a few few albums of Africa you The famous. Africans regarding the land Appropriations I, think Trump is looking for a friend or friends on the continent and I think president has a unique or To position himself as the advocate interlocutor with the White House he's. Very possible I think Trump is a very relationship driven president and there. Is a real president can United step up Jay is opportunity in terms of positioning Kenya Kenya The up, right so great hopes with the, with the chemistry I suppose, in terms of trade what would go on what? Where would there be opportunities for increase for development so the big investment that people have been story, about, is Tell driven investment this is the bottom WebEx? Ago lobbying on their behalf so this might be one component of increasing the economic. Activity between the two, countries we got Kenya Airways Buying direct to New York we bought an enormous this aura in the US who. Send remittances, on a monthly basis we receive about two. Point two billion a year about one point one billion of that, comes out, to the, US and a final point to make. People don't pick up on you know, we've been selling a lot of. Europeans lately sixty six percent of are eurobonds had been just in North America North. America the US, a big partner in terms of business sometimes it's not above the radar obvious, but these, are very important relationships and I think that's what the two of them will be looking to, build on and of. Course, one contract nor the facts. That President Trump is is pushing hard at China and therefore I think would want. To list Kenya support in that Chinese pushback in the last ten years Kenya has. Looked east that's that's
