"To use the Pumpkin to make high but when she sliced off the top of the Gordon looked inside. Do you know what she saw called kinds indeed. The pumpkin was chock full of sparkling glittering gold coins more money than Zoe had ever seen before and she knew just how she'd spend it. She carded the coins town then. Bought a big load of wood and nails with these supplies. I can replace my falling down cottage with a cozy new one next. She picked up a bunch of soil. Fertilizer and seeds can't to start a lush green garden and quote my own food now remember. Zoe had a twin sister named chloe very wealthy very stingy twin sister named chloe. Who BELIEVED WE ALL GET? What we deserve. And when chloe learned Zoe's sudden prosperity. She definitely didn't think her twin sister deserved it so chloe jumped into one of her many horsedrawn carriages when galloping across the countryside to Zoe. Zoe How did you get this cozy cottage and this abundant garden? You're going to have to explain how you got all this wealth. So zoey told her twin sister the story of how she mended the fallen sparrows wing then received a pumpkin seed as a reward. And when I planted that seed it's sprouted a huge Pumpkin the biggest I've ever seen. When I cut the Pumpkin Open it was full of gold coins. I see CHLOE's greedy mind began to race and just tell me again. How how did that Sparrow break? Its wing well. The winds snapped branch. The apple tree and the bird went tumbling down. Oh you should have seen it sister. The poor creature was barely breathing and tears sprang to my eyes when I saw just had. That's all Khloe heard. She had already sprinted out the door and back to her carriage. The next morning khloe hopped out of bed. Extra early and crept into her spacious yard her gardeners plant at the yard with all kinds of flowers bushes and trees. Khloe tip toe to one of the apple trees and squinted at its branches. Surely one of these branches has a sparrow on it right just then. She heard a loud sharp. That looks just like the bird. Zoe described without missing a beat. Khloe grabs the truck of the apple tree and began to shake. She shook and shook and shook. Until last. One of the branches snapped off the limb came tumbling to the ground bringing with it. The Brown and Grey Sparrow. Khloe squatted down and plucked the bird out of the grass. Oh dear how ever did this happen? You poor little thing. You're lucky you have me to take care of you. Khloe brought the sparrow inside and spent the next two days looking after it but not because she had a kind heart like zoe did. It feels like I've been taking care of this bird for her but no matter it'll be worth it when that reward is mine. All mine when the sparrow finally seemed well enough to fly again. Zoe carried the bird outside and plopped it onto the grass. All right off you go but remember. If it weren't for me you would never fly again. Don't you forget that? Bird the sparrow Kochta. Ted Let out a CHIRP and flapped its wings and flew away. The next week Khloe was inside her house counting her money when she heard a loud chipping sound through the window. What is with these ridiculous birds in my yard? How am I supposed to focus on counting all of my beautiful money if those pesky creatures keep tweeting and Chirping and wait a minute? She dashed outside and looked up at the apple trees. Can you guess who was perched on one of its branches? Yup the Brown and Grey Sparrow. Your back it's about time the sparrow opened its beak and a smooth white. Pumpkin seed dropped to the ground. This pumpkin seed is for you. Khloe consider it a reward for all you've done planted in your garden and see what grows. Oh you bet I will bird. I earned this one. Of course then. The bird beat its wings and sort up to the sky. Khloe ordered her gardeners to plant the Pumpkin seed in the yard very soon much to her delight. What should emerge from the earth but a leafy green pumpkin vine and by the time autumn came the vine sprouted not one enormous Pumpkin? But three I knew that sparrow like me better than my twin sister. It gave me three Pumpkins. Instead of just one Khloe seized the first to Pumpkin and chopped it off the vine. What could be in their gold coins like zoe got.

"One weekend in early. Two thousand ten blooms now boyfriend. Gerry invited her to organize a game at his house. On Long Island. She accepted because she knew. It'd be a good recruiting opportunity for her own games. Everything started off normal. She arrived at Gary's house set things up and waited for the players to arrive just as the game was getting ready to start blue notice. There was an open spot and offered to find someone to fill it. Gary waved bloom off. He'd reserved the last seat for a friend was coming later partway through the game. The doorbell rang when bloom answered the door to let the final player in. She was face to face with her new rival editing. Any was friendly but bloom was furious. She pulled Gary aside and accused him of turning this into an ambush. Gary reassured her. That Eddie had no intention of trying to steal her game he just wanted to play any himself said the same thing he wasn't there to fight bloom instead. He wanted them to work together. As the two biggest poker organizers in New York City they could both benefit from a partnership he'd bring in big players like himself to replace anyone who decided to stop playing or refuse to pay in the process. Everyone involved would continue to make lots of money and as she led. Eddie's offer sink in bloom was torn on the one hand. She knew that Eddie was her biggest rival. If she let him in he might try to swipe game out from under her on the other hand she was always in need of big players having Eddie as an ally rather than an enemy would be extremely helpful. Despite her reservations and distrust bloom decided to take him up on his offer with bloom and Eddie's combined powers the Games became even bigger with more players and larger profits on top of the increased tips. Eddie persuaded Bloom to rake the big game. Now in a single evening bloom was netting six figures but what shocked blooms that she eddie or getting along so well. She felt as though the two of them. As the biggest poker organizers and the city understood each other better than anyone else they even became friends on the flipside. Her relationship with Gary was deteriorating rapidly. Beginning in two thousand ten. Gary began demanding portion of bloom's tips from games that he played and when bloom refused he stopped paying what he had lost at the tables in the late spring of two thousand ten she tried to take care of the Gary problem quickly and cleanly. She checked into a hotel under an alias so he couldn't tracker down and broke up with him by email as she suspected. Gary flew into a rage. He scoured the hotels. He thought she might be at searching for her room. Bloom didn't budge. It was over the morning after she broke up with Gary Bloom woke up to a text message from one of her players. The big game was going to happen without her. At Eddie's bloom couldn't believe what she was reading. It was happening again. Gary had gone to Eddie told him of the break-up like a snake lying in wait Eddie slithered in cut bloom out. Bloom was enraged angrier than she'd ever been in her life. She wasn't going to let what happened in. La Happen again. The game was everything to her. It was all she had. She was going to fight back up. Molly bloom fights to salvage her New York game now. The conclusion to the story in the summer of two thousand ten thirty two year old molly bloom woke up in her hotel room to discover that her high roller New York game had suddenly been taken away from her her emotionally abusive ex boyfriend. Gary excited with her rival editing and helped him swoop into blooms territory outraged. She swore to fight back. Unfortunately Bloom had an uphill battle. Though she still had the smaller games out of her apartment she had been cut out by the billionaires and as two thousand ten rolled on it became clear that Eddie was endangering the small games to during the back. Half of two thousand. Ten Bloom was contacted by to New Jersey gangsters who had heard about her game and situation. They offered to help her collect from any players who were slow to pay and make sure that no one would mess with her or game. Bloom could tell that this wasn't an actual offer. It was a protection racket. Becoming involved with the mob was the last thing she needed so she politely declined instead. Bloom took a break from the city to regroup. She spent Christmas two thousand ten in Colorado with her family. But the trip wasn't the respite. She had desired because her mind was focused on her problems in New York. She was irritable around her family. Lashing out she needed to go back to New York and reclaim her empire but if bloom thought she could turn things around in the new year she was sorely mistaken. The night she returned to New York City Bloom was attacked in her apartment. A man forced his way into her apartment slammed her head against the wall and shoved a pistol to her forehead. Bloom was convinced she was about to die. She didn't know who had sent this. Man Perhaps Gary Perhaps Eddie but he was going to put a bullet in her head in. That would be it to bloom surprise. The man didn't pull the trigger stead. He ordered her into the bedroom terrified. Bloom told him she had money lots of it. The man growled for her to get it with trembling hands. She opened the closet safe and handed over what she had. Tens of thousands of dollars in cash as well as jewellery. The man then grabbed bloom and growled that if she hadn't been rude to his friends. This wouldn't be happening. Suddenly in that moment it made sense. This man didn't come from Gary or Eddie he was sent there by the Jersey. Gangsters Bloom had rejected this was their payback and handing over the cash and jewels wasn't enough. The man brutally beat bloom until he felt the message was received. He gave her one last warning then. Fled the apartment leaving bloom bleeding on the floor. She had no one to call not the police not her family nor any friends. Molly Bloom was on her own. Bloom laid low in her apartment as her wounds healed a few weeks after the attack. She received a call from one of the gangsters who asked to. She was willing to meet now that she might in his words. See Things clearer now. She agreed dreading the moment. She'd have to face the men responsible for her beating however that sense of dread turned to a sigh of relief the day before the meeting blooms. Tormentors were among a huge group of mobsters rounded up by the FBI. The investigation was completely unrelated to the poker ring by sheer luck. Bloom never heard from the Jersey gangsters again. Bloom couldn't believe her good fortune. It felt as though after months of betrayals and losses. She'd finally won something. However that sense of victory would not last long around. The time of the gangster raid. Bloom discovered that the feds were after her to in Los Angeles. One of BLUM's former players was facing prosecution for running a Ponzi scheme during interrogation the player told the FBI of Bloom's game bloom. Flew back to California for a series of depositions since bloom hadn't taken a rake in La. She technically hadn't broken the law so when the depositions were done she wasn't too concerned but she was now on the FBI's radar and instead of slowing down and letting the heat die. She chose to ignore the warning signs. Instead she felt empowered to reclaim what Eddie had stolen from her. In February two thousand eleven bloom returned to New York and built a new high roller game.

You've never really gotten enough credit for recognizing the importance of so it's in the details you know and you know inside when you're taking a shortcut right when you haven't haven't shown up one hundred percent and like my philosophy is if you want to build something great right no shortcuts ever every every detail you put your name on so what we're things you did for the game that we're the no shortcuts examples like. I continued due to seek out extraordinary people to place around. I never stopped recruiting. Even when I had tables full of games you know I knew to keep it new an interesting I you know I I really cultivated relationships with people aw I took the time to learn about their lives and one thing I know about people. Is that one of the best things you can do for them. Solve a problem that they didn't ask you to solve yeah. I can imagine what's the most powerful useful thing you've learned from addiction recovery. The first thing I have learned is to be be okay with uncomfortable feelings emotions to just ride it out and weather that storm because before for I got sober like you know I could withstand a lot but then what what I couldn't withstand I would just come out you know and then I I couldn't do that anymore and and and then you have to ride it out and then you realize that like could you think it's GonNa last forever. You know that uncomfortable feeling and then can you just kind of you. Stay with it and you accept it and then one of the next time it happens. It's not really that big of a deal so definitely just sort of like right out discomfort but the main thing I learned from a twelve step program is it's a program of action to live life peacefully peacefully and with a sense of film that doesn't require watching some of those one hundred million dollars at your poker game or doesn't require going on this crazy trip or you know making five million dollars that night like it's it's it's this ability to just be comfortable in your own skin and to be into find joy in the parts of life that aren't exploding in your face and and the other way was not sustainable what is up and practiced hope you guys are enjoying. "You know, it's like the whole mission of that town is to make you feel like crap and had low self esteem all and if you're walking into arty kind of feeling like that, and I didn't see at the very first night. But over time I saw the immense hold that this game had over these guys. And I was like, wow. If I can control this game. I can kill these people. I don't have to be small and unimportant anymore. That was my twenty three year old like lightbulb moment. You know, there's a couple of them like one of them was network, right? The other one was Pogos might Trojan horse whatever I want to get into right now, I can infiltrate any subset of society by just inviting that person that Representative of that world. So like I wanted to invest in art I invited art dealers. I wanted to learn about tech, I invited tech luminaries like it was such an incredible way to infiltrate and then the last one which was definitely more sort of born of childhood dynamic and kind of what we opened up with was, oh, I know how to get powerful. I just need to to control and have power over this game. Because it has this incredible hold over these people. I think the strategy to become indispensable to the players without being needy or obvious. About it is brilliant because it would have been really easy for you to go. I have to be cool in friends with everyone and be really fun. And then they're like, oh, this your girl number seven thousand trying too hard to get us to like her. So that you have access to the scene. Right. You saw that. And you didn't do that. Right. You've you purposely did not go down that route. But you also didn't seem to overcompensate the other way where a lot of people would be like, I'm just gonna pretend that I'm bored with all of you guys. And then they'll chase me. And it's like, Yep. Seeing that game too. Yeah. Balanced it really well. And if somebody finds himself in a situation, let's say they're not running a poker game in the lead Hollywood situation. But let's say that they are the lowest man or woman on the totem pole, and they get invited to their CEO's meetings, and they're in the room. How would you take that skill set that you built in apply it to that type of situation? Well, I think it's hard in a one off because you can't do too much. You sort of have to blend in the beginning. If you are consistently invited to these meetings or you find yourself more than one time a couple of times in this environment. Because I think it's so important in the beginning to blend in and read it, you know, because if you don't know the tempo if you don't know the tone, it's gonna come. You're not going to know like how goes and it's going to come off as awkward, so I think you want to sort of blend in it. I read it read the situation figure out how you can start to solve problems that you aren't even asked to solve figure out how you can put your head down work harder than everyone else and come up with innovative solutions to these problems that other people aren't coming up with and then the number one key. If you have some time in these rooms cut just make people feel special honestly, like I think a Salesforce building a brand building a product like any anything that I've ever the movie industry poker all these different things like figure out a way to work hard to make people feel special. "Alright. Here's Molly bloom. So you start a legendary poker game. And you get involved at the. The most base of levels with some of the most famous people and you saw their dirty laundry. And I think you are around when some of the dirty laundry was soiled so to speak. You got a gun shoved in your mouth by a mobster arrested by the FBI in a dramatic takedown reminiscent of any Hollywood movie, how the heck did a straight a student in champion skier make that slide. I wanna start from the beginning here with like the childhood because everything that it happened when you were a kid kind of informs how the heck you ended up waking up one day, you know, getting your butt kicked by the Italian mob. I agree with you. And I think the seeds were planted early on and just took a while to to grow. I think that a huge factor. Here was that I was born with this hard driving ambition and with this from the gecko needed desire to be significant and to be seen a significant. And unfortunately for me. I was born into a family with two brothers who were legitimate prodigy's early early on. So Jordan is great name, by the way. And the tradition of all Jordans. Jordan was genius bonafide genius. And you know, he went on to be a Harvard educated cardiothoracic surgeon, but he just presented as a genius early on beating my dad and chest testing out of his classes and into mine and Jeremy wasn't asked lettuce prodigy. Jeremy was number one in the world at nineteen years old in skiing. He's a two time Olympian and he got drafted fifth round to the Philadelphia Eagles. So starting with my dinner table. I was never the most talented or the smartest person in the room combined with this deep need to be someone special. And so, you know, I kind of went out into the world feeling invisible. Feeling like I want to matter and I wanted to be a non scare that's the first thing. I wanted to do. I was I didn't have the the natural talent that my brother had and on top of that at twelve years old. I was diagnosed with scoliosis. I had to go in for this gnarly surgery where they fused the top eleven vertebrae together. My back put two metal rods on the side. The doctor said I would never ski again in a year. I was back on the slopes, you know. And then I made the US ski team was third overall North America made it all the way to the Olympic qualifiers basically skewed over a little stick. And my ski pre released twenty feet in the air got really injured and had to quit. And I was in my last year at university of Colorado. I done extremely low on the L sats at three point nine GPA. And I was headed to you know, sort of a future of law school and everything and I just wanted to take a year off before becoming super serious again. And I went to LA and needed to get the first job that you know, that I could and got hired by the guy who was pretty demanding boss. I was his personal assistant. He said one day. He said I need you to. Serve drinks at my poker game. So I'm like, okay, great. I Google like what kind of music do poker players like to listen to what are they eat? Okay. Like super qualified for this position. Yes. Exactly. Exactly, very professional and two fisted. And I made I actually made this embarrassing playlist with songs like the gambler on it. And I bring my playlist and my cheese play. And I'm thinking like, you know, the the players are going to be these overgrown frat boys, but then Ben Affleck walks in the room and Lear to Capri, oh, and a politician that I was very well recognized and and heads a studios heads of banks. And all of a sudden, I had this lightbulb moment that. A young girl from Loveland Colorado at twenty three years old doesn't get this opportunity to network with people like this..
